For someone who had probably one of the most admirable reasons for being at the school for heroes, she lacked any real mindset to tell good from bad. She was a criminal, by almost every means. However, in the matter she partook in it, left many to scramble of whose side she was really playing for. With all of her jobs, and occupations, she had a foot in every door and a hand in every cookie jar. She could be possibly the greatest mastermind, or perhaps just another unlucky fool. In any case, if anyone found out what she really did, they could equally be in as much trouble, or perhaps just as twisted as she was. Maybe she was the most composed person on the planet with all of the secrets she kept, or maybe she just wasn't stable enough to begin with. Being insane and dealing with insanity did seem to make sense. She was part of the janitorial staff, not the General Studies teacher, or even the school nurse. Her own medical background was meaningless in their eyes. If they were heroes, they didn't need her help, but if they found out what she could actually do, she was the prime suspect for the reason of all of this. But even she knew very little about the drug itself, or where it came from. All she knew, was the drink her boss had given her, had cured and halted all symptoms of the drug, allowing her to move as comfortably around the school without fear of getting under its effects. The girl would dismiss Kasey's concern about drinking and medication, something that was to be expected. But to her, Kasey saw nothing wrong in the conversation. What rules were being broken? Were heroes not allowed to discuss the truths of their nemesis? Everyone came from a country with vastly different rules and laws. Surely the Japanese government would not seek to prosecute a few stupid students. However getting kicked from the school was an entirely different matter. Sadly, her Ketsujo Corp badge had no worth within these walls. "I think there's a bit in my car still." she would say to the student. "I usually use it before I go to my other job, after this one. Helps me think." By helping her think, she meant numbing herself to the voice that dwelled within her. As she saw her own little world, Setsuna was completely blind to what she was seeing. She was able to enjoy all kinds of high, with a guide to show her and tell her what she needed to do, as well as bring her back to reality when she needed to be. As the girl went on to explain how the herb was actually referred to that name, the truth went over the ivory haired girl's head. Kasey would narrow her eyes at the idea. "That's a strange name to give a plant." But she was learning to understand it. She had not yet grasped the idea of joints or blunts, having only used a tool to burn it for her. To her, it was just another medicinal thing. Even if they wanted to test her for drugs, the potency would be exiled from her system in just a few hours. Her body would expel all of the toxins leaving her squeaky clean. Not that she was a junkie... at least, not yet. ~ Word Count: 571 ~ |

he already knew the janitor was in on more shady shit than she could imagine, the only question remaining her wonder just what role she played with them. A neutral enabler, or something more active...? And if the latter, was she their friend or their enemy? And if she was an enemy, could Kanna possibly enlist her allegiance? She had to say tough, all that knowledge she inevitably posessed seemed far too... juicy... To possibly ignore. And as ill recommended it may seem to buy drugs from someone who could perfectly be involved in the school poisoning, the appeal of a new connection spoke louder. No less importantly, it appealed to the blonde's other interest aside from knowledge: Mind altering substances. Keep your friends close, your enemies closer. Ready to take this risk, a leap of faith that could go either way. Kanna disliked gambling, but she felt confident enough to deal with the results of losing, and knew benefits like this only show themselves once in a blue moon. That said, the discussion turning to weed all but reminded Kanna of something in her jacket, something perfectly legal, but still crucial when discussing smokable herbs. Drawing her left foot down a few steps, the blonde spread her bare, tattooed legs a bit further as she reached for the red jacket on the steps below, and pulled out an ounce of tobacco. "We can meet again after class.", agreed Kanna with a nod, dropping a small bundle of the brown, dried plant inside a white paper, and calmly rolling herself a cigarette. Nonetheless, she narrowed her eyes as she looked into those mysterious, absent green eyes, "I wanna try it out for myself, but we should do it off campus." With the woman's mind so full of mysteries, the blonde had to wonder just how many of those Kasey herself actually understood. That reaction she gave when the blonde explained what Mary Jane actually was... It really seemed genuine, no matter how much she looked at it. Social cues were hardly Kanna's strong suit though; she'd take this conclusion with a grain of salt, but yeah: "Well yeah, how many other plants do you know that help you think?", head cocking left and eyes rolling absently, the blonde chuckled knowingly, entertained by the answer even though it didn't really surprise her. She finished rolling her cig quickly enough though, and promptly got back on her feet, stretching her arms up lazily and eyeing Kasey with interest, "I'm headin' up for a smoke... You coming?" She'd nod up the stairwell, only half a floor left to go until the rooftop. Not knowing if Kasey might joined her, she took a moment to dust off excess bits of tobacco clinging to her torn denim shorts and smooth, creamy skin, from her waist to either thigh. Once satisfied, she'd crouch down and pick up her backpack and litter, hopefully Kasey would have decided whether or not to join her by this point... ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

Each day she was growing more and more of a puppeteer, and less of a marionette. She was someone everyone saw and knew about, but simultaneously knew nothing about. She was an enigma. She existed while not existing at all. A murderous vigilante who worked for one of the three largest criminal syndicates. Someone who not only worked for one, but worked as a tailor for another, and was dating the daughter of the other. She could have been the single most powerful person in Japan with the strings she was able to pull, but Kasey was someone who was not just unaware of this fact, but had no interest in it. It was just her life. They were just jobs. Things that granted her wealth to allow her to be one step closer to her ultimate goal. What this goal was? No one was able to say. "I can do that!" she would say to the young student. "I suppose next week I should be done with the new vent system and filter..." she thought aloud, thinking of her main janitor's closet. It was irrelevant at least for today. "We can just drive off a block or so away, then just come back afterwards, no one will know we left. And while you're in class, I can actually mop and wax everything down."She spoke with a bit of joy, not having many friends or allies to begin with. But the day she found out what these students could really do, would be the day she changed her habits. As she pondered her options, she found herself staring blankly as she watched the girl roll up a cigarette, something that she could understand at least. But it wasn't until that point, that she wondered what else could be rolled in a similar fashion. As she asked the question of what other plants she knew, Kasey simply tapped her chin and stared at off to the side. Did she know anything else? Without an answer, as the second question came, Kasey would nod and begin to get up from where she lay. "Not like there's much else to do anyways. Mostly I just clean everything three times." she said it like it was a joke, but she was serious. She had too much time to do what she had needed to do. Even if she was s single staff member, or a skeleton crew, if you would, she had been far too versed in her work. She had often wiped the same things down over and over. She simply was to efficient. ~ Word Count: 432 ~ |

ndeed, manipulating others gets surprisingly easy once you know more than they do. Part of the reason why Kanna tried to be in on everything, to always have the edge over enemies known and unknown alike. Once you know how everyone will react to having their secrets spilled, you can pretty much move them around like chess pieces. But nobody could reach that point without taking some risks... Even now Kanna hadn't the slightest of clue of what this woman must have gone through to reach this point, where she had her hands in just about anything, including drug dealing. Great to get connections and dirt on other people, but not without flaunting a bit of her influence: "'iight, got yourself a deal.", agreed the blonde, nodding, unable to help a soft smirk drawing on her lips as Kasey seemed almost enthusiastic. And why wouldn't she be? She was about to get herself another client. Drug dealing alone could easily explain her outrageous purchasing power, and she also had other jobs on top of that. She had a pretty good plan already, making it quite obvious how she'd most likely done sort of deals before, "You get rid of one, but I can't be the only student sitting around in places you'd rather not have 'em." She'd also not admit to a budding, almost giddy curiosity towards grabbing herself a ride in the kind of car she'd otherwise never lay her hands on. Who knows, perhaps she'd even find herself a way to convince the woman to let her drive a couple miles. With the janitor agreeing to join her upstairs for a smoke, Kanna lingered with one foot in the stair above, looking at her with her backpack slung over one shoulder: "Well, the dust ain't going anywhere... You have time to get some air.", she replied, heading upstairs with hopefully Kasey after her. They'd climb their way up to the roof, raising an eyebrow as she asked, "Do you even expect you to clean after the whole school by yourself...? Seems like a tall order." She'd push the heavy door open with one hand, and step outside under a cooler air than she expected, courtesy of a pleasant breeze leaving her shaggy blonde hair swaying ever so gently. She'd leave a foot in the door's path, holding it open for her new smoke buddy to step out, then it let it slam back shut. And pulling out a lighter, she'd cover the tip of her cancer stick and light it with a long drag. ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

Clients were not her strong suit. She was far from a dealer, and even less of a merchant. She did not like dealing with money, and often found others to count for her. While she had all of the connections a criminal mastermind, or a aspiring hero could want, she held a fatal flaw; Kasey could not count. Even if she wanted to sell things on the side, she could not fathom the value of numbers, only knowing that the longer the numbers were, the more value it was. She did not know if three was more than seven, or even what came after two. She did not like people in the slightest, but it did not mean that she enjoyed a hostile working environment. These students were people would could make her like harder, or easier based on her own interactions with them. While she was hard headed, she understood that much of it. She didn't need to make friends with them, but making them into enemies was not on her agenda. As the girl paused before opening the door to the top, Kasey smiled, following along. As they acsended, Kasey would answer yet another question. "Compared to the office buildings I used to clean, this school is nothing." she would admit, "I do suppose they could hire more people, but it's not like they really need many janitors. It's why I also took the time to repaint some of the walls and stuff students mess up from time to time."The door would open allowing a fresh cool breeze to blow past them. Kasey would step past her, making her way back to where she had just left not long before meeting her. She would close her eyes, holding her arms out like a scarecrow, taking in the breeze once more. Such was a wonderful thing that was nature. ~ Word Count: 311 ~ |

ndeed, such a mathematical imparity would put a damper on anyone's hopes of a career than required the slightest bit of business skills. Alas, Kanna knew not how much that held true for Kasey, but suspected just how little she actually needed the money. More often than not she like Kanna herself were after the same thing: Connections, power, influence. The hacker needed hers mostly for security "Damn... They got a janitor and a painter just for the price of one. Keep working that hard, and no way they'll ever hire you some help.", Kanna ackowledged, chuckling as she rubbed her head; she was far from a hard worker herself yet her tone of grudging respect for her dilligence, for her thorough dedication to the job. But then, they'd already established Kasey actually liked this job, the blonde already knew this to be a main reason why she found herself wearing this uniform, though not necessarily at this school. With a slow step, she'd breathe in the fresh air, all but close her eyes and relish that gentle breeze caressing her bare skin... She appreciated the contrast between the cool, fresh air and thick, hot smoke from her cigarette, letting in her linger in her lungs before exhaling, "Don't tell me you're this dedicated to every job you work..." Kanna all but raised her eyebrow as this inquiry left her thin lips, turning her eyes back to the janitor as they approached the protective fence. Lazily leaning against it, she lifted one foot off the ground until it too came to rest against the fence, near the crook where concrete met metal. Whether Kasey came to rest against the fence or simply lingered close by, the blonde kept one eye her way for the most part, and eventually stretched her hand out, offering the other half of her still lit cig: "You want...? I can just roll myself another.", a calm, nonchalant offer, from a girl who looked like she couldn't care less whether Kasey accepted or not. Since the girl was getting ready to sell her drugs, it seemed fine to share something of her; call it a show of friendship, call it nothing, call it whatever. Yeah, she needed something from her... She'd seldom show any modicum of consideration for someone she'd only just met, for someone who didn't appear to be suffering in the slightest. Alas, she couldn't even fathom the kind of past the woman beside her lived through, just like how Kasey had no way of knowing how Kanna usually acted to other people. ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

Kasey worked with a single goal in mind; Unlimited wealth. She wanted a massive disposal income that she could spend without the fear of ever growing broke. She wanted to have more money than she could spend. She wanted her bank account to outlive her own life. But she hadn't realized she had obtained it so long ago. On top of that, now that she had achieved it, what would she do now? What did she want the money for? It wasn't like she lived a lavish lifestyle. She had found expensive hobbies just to spend her money on SOMETHING. But still, she was making more than she could process. What would happen when she learned that she could buy out each and every company she worked for? "Are jobs not meant to be enjoyed?" Kasey would answer the question with another question. "Why apply to a job you hate? Life is short." She spoke from her own view on things. Each job she took up, taught her something new. While she didn't entirely know what to do with all of her knowledge, she accepted the little gifts she found around every corner. Everything taught her something, for some point in her life. She was full of useless skills, until the day they were useless no longer. Before she knew it, a cigarette would be offered to her, and Kasey would be presented a strange choice to make. Should she accept gifts from students? What if it was not what it seemed? Was it wrong to do so? What would the teachers think? Of course, the idea of them enjoying a relaxing moment in their own cloud of smoke in her car wasn't on her mind. "Maybe just one puff." She would say, taking it from the girl and taking a short but slow drag. Her eyes would close as she took in the toxins. The smoke would fill her lungs, only to build up and exit through her nostrils. Removing it from her lips, she would pass it back to the girl. "I don't want to waste your own." she would say, offering it back, unsure of how much it really costed. Perhaps it was change, or perhaps it was hundreds of dollars. How many bundles of bills did it cost for one? What kind of packaging did it come in? All of these were questions she did not know the answer to, all the while understanding what tobacco was. Everyone was a tool, another puppet puppetted by other puppets. Some of these playthings were pulled and controlled by some at the bottom. Some at the top simply where false and fake gods. It was a web of strings and thread of everyone pulling and controlling each other. But which one of these puppet masters had pulled the right strings? ~ Word Count: 471 ~ |

woman of simple desires, clearly. Such was the kind of janitor they had here at Yuuei, someone Kanna knew surpringly very little about. She could dig up dirt about most people who left a track throught cyberspace, but Kasey gave her no such openings, forcing the blonde to figure everything out the good old fashioned way. At this point though, she couldn't even fathom how one with such an enshrouding aura of mystery surrounding her could have such a mundane ambition. "Plenty of people apply to jobs because they need the money, sadly...", despite this amusing reversal of roles where the student found herself giving the mature answer, Kanna turned her head up almost absently - hopefully even - as if on some level she fully understood that position. After all, why would she...? At merely 17 years old, she'd always gotten by doing freelance and coding work while letting gramps pay for her tuition fees, "But I guess even the shit jobs need somebody doing them..." With the telltale way she looked at Kasey, Kanna obviously deemed her job as one of those nobody would do if they could help it. But here she was, sharing a cigarette with a woman not much older than her, a woman who rode sports cars better than the headmaster's and still professed to enjoy the irony of cleaning up after heroes' messes. She had a fair point on that last bit, but yeah... There's a long way between appreciating the irony and the job itself... Kanna struggled to even clean up after her own room, let alone a whole building! Once the blonde offered her smoke though, she couldn't help but appreciate that all but unique moment when the janitor seemingly weighted over her options instead of answering straight away. Perhaps she had other things that could prompt that reaction, but the blonde had only just seen it for the first time, and couldn't help but smirk almost impishly, as if misleading the dilligent woman away from her commendable work eithic: "I'm surprised... Figured you'd go through it as fast as those cookies~", a chuckle escaped the hacker's lips as she took back her smoke and took another long puff, that look of snarky amusement meshing all too well with her youthful, delinquent posture, "Well, I'm hoping you'll get me a good deal later on, so no worries..." With these dismissive words, Kanna finally peeled her gaze away from her unlikely smoke buddy, looking through the fence on the opposite side... In the end it seemed any further conversation on what manner of deals they'd strike should hold until they were alone once more. Suddenly, two more students walked out onto the rooftop, and immediately had their eyes on the two women near the fence. Guys staring at her were a dime and dozen, Kanna was used to it. Yet every so often some took it too far... Perhaps they simply couldn't hide their surprise at seeing a student hang out with the janitor like the most natural thing in the world, but nah... These really looked like the judgemental types with the way they had their eyes on that cigarette, frowning the whole way until the techie couldn't help but growl: "Fuck you staring at?!", she finally snapped, glaring at the two until they finally moved away from the door, sheepishly retreating and finding their own spot near a different fence. She looked back at Kasey out the corner of her eye, silently hoping the girl wouldn't get fired or anything from lazing around smoking with a student. Without even asking the question, she'd look on the woman's face for signs of concern... ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

People worked because they needed money. It was a simple answer, but to her, it would not make sense. People spent so much time at work, so why not choose only a job they would have joy in? Kasey had worked part time job after part time job, exploring new trades, as well as her interests. She knew what she enjoyed, as well as what paid the bills. But if she didn't find pleasure in her career, she simply changed. She would rather work the many jobs that paid little that she enjoyed, than the few she hated to do, that paid the most. She didn't understand how anyone could wake up every day to go somewhere they hated. "It's not a deal if there's no exchange." Kasey would tell her, "I'm just offering you my company, I suppose Miss Mary is just another guest on our adventures." Kasey would add on with a smile, understanding a bit better as to why certain things had alternate names. But still, she would not understand why that name of all was chosen for such a plant. Perhaps she would ask Kanna for that answer another time. As Kasey grew absent in thought, mindlessly thinking about what other names things had in the world, the blond girl would snap, yelling at some students not that far from them. Kasey would turn, slowly, twisting her head around to see, only to have the students slip away from their sight. "Well I don't suppose this will be what gets me fired." Kasey would say, "I'd think the tree would be a much more valid reason." Kasey said it with a bit of a laugh, finding a bit of security in her job. It wasn't like she was breaking rules or anything. She was talking to a student who happened to be near her on her smoke break. But the damage she caused to the tree every day, seemed like a more valid reason to fire the girl. After all, it was part of her target practice. "I suppose you don't have a quirk that can make them forget?" Kasey would ask, turning back to face the girl with a bit of concern on her face. With or without an answer, she would continue, "Doesn't matter. Not like mine would either." She would shrug, lifting her shoulders only to drop them at her sides again. Her gaze would look up to see the clouds above. It really was a nice day. ~ Word Count: 415 ~ |

or the first time since meeting Kasey, the words 'no exchange' visibly left Kanna on edge, frowning as she looked back into the woman's green eyes. Everybody stoner wasnts good, cheap drugs. That inescapable fact of live drove hopeful dealers to try and cater to both while still making a profit. When Kasey outright rejected an exchange, Kanna immediately wondered what else could she possibly want, and how she wouldn't strike a deal without knowing what she'd have to give. Instead of answering straight away, she took a good long drag of her cigarette, and turned her head up, taking her sweet time exhaling a thick cloud of smoke before looking back down: "Nobody ever gives anything away for free.", Kanna answered matter of factly, a cold display of cynicism that just couldn't remain unsaid. Even if Kasey denied it, the blonde refused to feel in any way indebted to people, and she'd never been the kind to accept 'company' a something you couldn't really accept in a deal, "I mean, I don't mind talking to you or anything, but still... Guess we'll see later on, but I can always just get you food." Yeah, no employers with half a functional brain would so casually fire an employee who went so far above and beyond what was expected of her, just for going out to grab a smoke. At least, Kanna hoped not, that would be quite an unheroic treatment for someone who obviously cared enough about her job to it well. Unless they considered hanging out with a student a villainous offense: "Fired over a tree huh... What the hell did you do with it; carvings, target practice, nothing at all...?", Kanna's smirk widened at this last statement, asmused at the dilligent janitor who even painted the walls neglecting to care for a prized tree. Regardless of her answer her next question earned a chuckle from the blonde, indeed her quirk could do a lot of things, create alternative facts or conceal the truth in turn... But its one weakness laid in her inability to erase information from people's head, "I wish I did...", she answered, all but chuckling as she took another hit, "Would make my life a helluva lot easier..." Little did Kasey know Kanna was talking about none other than herself. Her inability to forget things was a double edged sword, mostly useful, but it also left her unable to forget things she'd rather not remember for more than a few days. ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

"I like food." She would say it rather quickly after the girl suggested the option. Kasey was not good with money at all, and to retrieve something with monetary value would leave her unsure if it was a good deal, or one where she was ripped off. As long as her exchange was simple, no matter how much value she was losing, if she was fed, she was pleased. She knew about all of the little samples and tests that went on at Sato's mansion. She knew about all of the herbal and experimental remedies he had dabbled in trying. If not for personal reasons, then to better understand just how the world works. Most of his medicine came without side-effects, or at least, less and less each time. People would buy and pay for all kinds of things without the fear of diarrhea, runny nose, or death. But that didn't stop the fact some people were growing immune to his medicine. At least, except for the few herbal ones he concocted. Kasey was no drug dealer. To her, it was the same as a kid taking a few pudding cups from their fridge at home. She knew where everything was in that house, as well as what had effects on her. While a guest was out of the question, it did not mean she could not at least bring the house to her. In her eyes, all she gained was another student who would clean up after themselves. It was all a win, when Kasey didn't exactly pay anything in the first place. "Target practice." Kasey would answer in regards to the tree. "I'm not good at long range, so I figured practicing on a campus that allows quirk use was the best time to do it." She admitted to using her quirk, while not telling her at all what it was. Even if she wanted to, it was not something she could explain in a few words. But on the topic of a mind control quirk, the both of them came up short, finding the use in such a mundane thing. Kanna might not have known about Seki, but he was the one Kasey had pinned for the job. It wasn't just a random quirk she had thought of for the moment, but one from her life. If he was here, he could have easily pried the idea from their minds, and even the memory that he had done it as well. She wished he was there to help them, but she also hoped they wouldn't do anything with their useless information, just as much. It wasn't like rules were broken, were there? ~ Word Count: 445 ~ |

eah, I know~", with a confident smirk all but poking fun at the girl's appetite, Kanna nodded, shifting her torso so she rested her shoulder onto the fence instead, she took her last puff of cigarette before dropping the stub onto the water drainage, leaving it for the rain to wash away... Whenever it finally came at least. When the weed came though, Kanna wouldn't really mind buying Kasey some McDolan's, or even a pricier meal depending on the quality of the goods. She wasn't so nice as to give her exactly what she felt the drugs were worth, she'd aim a bit low, partly expecting the dealer to haggle up the price like she'd forcefully done with those cookies. And yes, she couldn't look at someone who brought her drugs as anything other than a drug dealer, and why would she. The pretty janitor obviously took pride in her many jobs, and in Kanna's mind, dealing drugs was a perfectly acceptable one. "At least you have a Quirk that can hit people.", sighed Kanna, confessing to one of the actual limitations of her quirk, with no mention as to the kind of training she'd been doing in hopes of remedying that situation, or even what she could do with her quirk that average people couldn't. She couldn't begin to guess when or if she'd reach a point when she'd trust Kasey. Perhaps for this reason she refrained from asking her what her quirk actually did, knowing the girl had as much reason to trust her with the details as the hacker did her. Instead, she asked a wholly different questing, raising her palm and wiggling her finger in a random direction, "But why not find a different training ground elsewhere... I mean, you clearly like this job, so no point getting yourself fired, right?" That same hand came to rest on her bare hip, right under the edge of her bare jacket. As she sunk her weight onto one leg in a lazy stance, she couldn't help but wonder what stopped a seemingly well off woman from finding herself a proper place to train her abilities. As useful as memory control could be, Kanna hoped she'd never meet anyone with that ability. At the very least, she hoped she'd learn about that person way in advance, so she could properly prepare... ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

Food was a trivial concept. From her own past, she had eaten rotten food, as well as wrappers, having no reason to remove plastic from around candies. It wasn't for poor knowledge or lack of common sense, it was something that didn't effect her. Her teeth would cut through it like a hot knife through butter, her stomach would digest everything all in the same. What was the point of taking off something that was harmless? The only need she would have to do such a thing, was if she gave it to someone else. And with her less than social behavior, that was something quite rare. As the girl went on to mention that at least Kasey could use something physically, she was a bit curious as to what it could have been. But being shy of her own power, prevented her from asking the first question to begin the conversation. "Because even the teachers do it." she would say, "Besides, the tree is fine the next day. Still not sure if the tree has a quirk too..." She explored the idea for a moment, thinking about what other life could have such an affinity. but it also seemed as reasonable that a student could have been using some plant manipulation quirk to regrow the tree's bark every day. But if no one complained, then nothing was breaking the rules. "It's illegal anywhere else. I believe it includes your house as well. But even if I did use mine at home, I wouldn't want to be throwing knives and other sharp things around." Again, more of her abilities seeped past her lips, almost teasing the idea. But how long did they have before class was going to start? How long would it be for them? When would they have to part? ~ Word Count: 302 ~ |

owever could somewhat imagine the oddly beautiful school janitor had the stomach to put a bear to shame, capable of eating food most people wouldn't even see fit to feed their dogs? Alas, as she had not eaten the plastic package those cookies came in Kanna had currently no means of discerning this, tough most likely would were Kasey in the mood of showing off that ability. But then again, here they were inside a hero school, for wholly different reasons... Wierd abilities were the daily bread around here, though granted, Kanna's might come off as among the least wierd, that was, until one realized she could pretty much talk to any electronic gadget you'd hold in your hand... And talk to them far more easily than she talked to humans. "I guess you'll be fine in that case. I mean, it would be pretty stupid if only the teachers were allowed to train their quirks, wouldn't it?", and almost rethoric question, at least, if you were to look at it logically. But unlike Kanna would hope, things aren't always run on simple logic. Sometimes, even the things which seem unlogical at first may actually have some measure of truth. Kasey's next words earned a snicker from the blonde hacker, who nonetheless narrowed her eyes and gave a better alternative, "...Or maybe there's a gardener who does~" "Nah, see, It's only illegal if you get caught...", scoffed Kanna, shrugging, doubting she'd get in trouble for such a blatant disregard for rules... Not in front of this janitor she wouldn't, "But yeah, I can imagine some quirks are really home friendly... I won't ask you what yours does, but, yeah... I can tell you mine ain't got that problem... Thankfully" With her ability to seize control of any electronic she wished, Kanna really could use her quirk just about anywhere, as well as hide its usage for the most part. This allowed her to keep most of her abilities in secret, and though Kasey might eventually learn she could break into electronics (hell, she needed only read the school's file on Kanna), the blonde would most likely never tell her of the other aspect any time soon. At least not until they were well and truly, undeniably on the same side. ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

A gardener? Doubtful. Kasey was the only non teaching staff beyond the principal himself. But even he had authority over the teachers. Kasey was at the bottom of the totem pole, only able to rule over the kingdom of students. Maybe it was why so many had talked to her, or why she had opted to speak so easily with them. She knew what most of them were going through, not being that much older than they were. Perhaps she was someone over qualified for her job, or simply was too good for it. Maybe she was fit to guide and steer the students away from the life she lived herself. Maybe she could reform some of them on her own time. "Well, then perhaps your life has had many more conveniences" Kasey would say with a smile. To have a quirk that was easy and simple to use must have been quite a life. To have such a simply skill no one looked twice at. To have an ability that did not harm the user. To have something that didn't seem to scare everyone you cared about. To have something no one was willing to kidnap you over. To have something no one wanted to chop up and sell in a neat package. It must have been nice to not be a target... "Oh, almost forgot." Kasey would begin, "What class are you in?" She asked, a bit curious as to how the school would have ranked her skill in comparison to the others. How great was her abilities? How good of a hero could she be? ~ Word Count: 268 ~ |
