ProgressionSwarm
Upgrading From: Type: Mutation Rank: E Effect: Hayley’s body is a living hive for unique hornets that resemble Japanese Giant Hornets. These hornets have a symbiotic relationship with her; they feed on whatever she eats and she feels their hunger. The hornets enter and exit her body through hexagonal holes on the backs of her hands.
Her body produces 'queen' hornets which are twice the size of the others and have bright silver vertical stripes from the top of their heads to their stingers, which she uses to command the rest of her swarm. She transmits her thoughts to the queens who then transmit them to the otherwise mindless drones. The queens and drones act as units with the queens always at the centre of the swarms formed. The queens, and by extension the rest of the swarm, are only capable of travelling ten metres from her body.
Individually the hornets are weaker so they always create clusters to fight. Offensively, the hornets attack with their non-venomous stingers and are capable of chewing through wood when clustered together. Defensively, they can form shields for her, though these shields can only resist blows as strong as wood.
The queen remains in her body and only exits when she needs to use her swarms to battle. When she's not commanding them the drones freely exit and enter her body doing usual hornet things, so one or two can always be seen climbing around her.
She names them all and can identify them.

The queens, and by extension the rest of the swarm, are only capable of travelling fifteen metres from her body.
Individually the hornets are weaker so they always create clusters to fight. Offensively, the hornets attack with their non-venomous stingers and are capable of chewing through soft metals such as bronze when clustered together. Defensively, they can form shields for her, though these shields can only resist blows as strong as soft metals.
The swarms are also capable now of lifting a target that weighs as much as soft metal, provided it is not bigger than them.
Currently her body can only produce a two queens. The queens remain in her body and only exit when she needs to use her swarms to battle. They operate separately from each other and must be given separate commands.
When she's not commanding them the drones freely exit and enter her body doing usual hornet things, so one or two can always be seen climbing around her. She names them all and can identify them.
Drawback: Her body can only produce a two queens, and if a queen is killed the drones produced by it will immediately die also. It takes six posts for her body to produce a replacement queen.
There's also a limit to the amount of drones her queens can produce; they can only create up to a swarm half the size of her body. She cannot blot out the sun with her swarms. The hornets, queens included, only live for a day.
Her hornets also like to eat flesh. Normally she can sate them with animal meat, but the symbiotic relationship they share means that she too will begin to hunger for human flesh if she does not feed them enough. She must eat three times as much as a normal human to feed her swarm.
