The redhead's eyes lit up, hearing that he was going to the same place as her. Someone else who enjoyed going to places like a farmer's market! There were very few people that liked to go to such things so she was happy she found someone who shared the same interest. "Really? I'm going there as well...it's my first time ever going to a farmer's market. I had read about it in the newspaper and really wanted to go up and see what all they had. It would be nice if I could get a few fresh ingredients to take back with me, maybe I'll even find some fresh honey or even some beeswax...ahhhh I'm so s-sorry for rambling, I really didn't mean to," the poofy haired girl apologized, a light dust of pink on her cheeks and a sheepish smile on her face. Sometimes she liked to ramble on and on about the things she was most passionate about, it was a bad habit of hers that she really couldn't control no matter how hard she tried.
Once she stopped speaking, she listened as the other softly spoke up, telling her that he went there to not only shop but play the violin as well. "O-Oh, you play the violin?" she asked, a bit surprised to hear that anyone played classical instruments now a days. "I think that's amazing, classical music is one of my favorites. Both the soft tunes and long crescendos from the violin are some of my favorite to listen to next to the harp and the piano," she said, her eyes filled with awe as she talked about another of her passions. She knew very few people who could appreciate the wonders of classical music, she was glad to find another who enjoyed her tastes. Why hadn't she met this boy before? She was sure they could pass the time on the bus by talking about the things they liked.

Well, she definitely was passionate. The way she spoke about something as simple as the farmer's market was almost funny to him, so much so that he almost forgot she was a girl. His heart swelled up a bit with the slightest tinge of guilt, feeling kinda bad for always expecting her to do bad. If L.K could speak to him right now, he'd be getting scolded so hard for feeling guilty. He wasn't, so his guilt went unrestricted. "I-It's cool, really! The farmer's market has a lot of f-fresh produce.." He assured her, remembering just how amazing the lettuce they sell gets, specially at this time of year. It was summer, so he probably could catch some famous watermelons. Summer's the season for them.
His eyes then widened, completely caught off guard when she passed his test with flying colors. Not only did she like violins, she liked classical music in general. A little blush came upon his face from the tinge of embarrasment, his eyes looking out the window. Without seeing her, he could speak normally, at least. He just hoped she wouldn't find it rude how he didn't look at her when he spoke. Explaining his anxiety would just make him even more anxious. "I.. learned Violin with my dad. He even played the violin the day he--.. ah, nevermind, not important!" What kind of idiocy was that!? He almost let the fact that he was adopted slip out, coughing to the side a little bit, breathing in deep.
Pushing his back gently against the seat, he got his face away from the window, looking straight ahead now, though he still couldn't look at her. Maybe it was just better to look straight ahead, at least he wasn't looking actively at the opposite of her position.

A farmer's market may not be the place of choice for most, but Chise, with her love of food, was ecstatic to go to a place like this. She could buy so many goodies for a decent price, not half bad, better than paying for cafeteria that wasn't all to the girl's liking. "Do you know what's all in season right now? I'm not too sure and the ad in the newspaper didn't really say much either," the violet eyed femme asked the noirette, hoping he had some sort of answer to her question. Maybe they would have her honey but they might carry some other sweet produce as well. She just had to be careful, she could only keep so much in her dorm room without having to buy another fridge to keep the perishable items cooled. She doubted she could carry anything too heavy, considering G's comment of her 'limp, noodle arms', but she was getting stronger. Maybe she'd be able to carry 2...maybe even 3 watermelons...but then she wouldn't be able to hold anything else besides that.
His reaction to her excitement was all the reason to confirm that he was an avid lover of classical music as well! She could share her passions with a fellow member of the classical music club, something she couldn't do too often as no one else she knew really liked classical...maybe G did but she forgot. "It must be nice to learn how to play an instrument, I tried learning piano when I was younger but I couldn't really keep up," she said with a smile, a bit envious that he could play an instrument as difficult as the violin. Her expression softened as he spoke of his father and how he stopped when he got to a sensitive point. She wouldn't push the subject any further, his face clearly showing a bit of discomfort before he looked away, his gaze now facing the window. "I-It's alright, I understand. I'm sure you play just as well as your father, sharing that fact with your parent. I received my quirk from my mother, although hers is a bit different than mine. Still, I wouldn't have it any other way," she said with a bright smile, hoping he'd look back at her.

She didn't know what was in season for the summer? Silly woman, every japanese person knew that! ..Did they? His dad said so while teaching him, though now that he's older, he realizes that it may have just been his dad using that to motivate him to learn. Either way, he thought for a bit, remembering that there were quite a lot. Vegetables generally were always in season, or at least, they were avaiable. In Japan, though, what was in season during the summer were fruit! LOTS of fruit! "Alright, let's see.. Strawberries were in season like two months ago, though some still last for now. Though there are Melons, Cherries, Grapes are ripening actually, Blueberries.. Hm.." He knew there were more, though he needed a few seconds to really get his mind organized, so he could finish the thought. "There MIGHT be some Japanese Pears by now, Watermelons and Plums are right in season.. and to finish it, Loquats and Kiwi Fruits might still be around. Yeah, I know those are fruit, mostly since the vegetables are in season nearly all year 'round." That was quite the long list actually, now that he really considered it. Japan really was a tropical island.. Arquipelago? He didn't remember what he could classify Japan as, though it definitely had an awesome highlight during the summer.
He appreciated her respect over what was clearly a touchy subject for him. The way she simply didn't pressure it on, it showed that she respected. By now, even if he didn't really trust her or even liked her that much, he felt like she was at least a proper human being. If she kept being the good person she seemed to be, he might just give value to his mother's words and really give her a chance to get close to him. Well, should they keep contact, which was unlikely. He'd never have the balls to ask a WOMAN out of all people to give him their number. "Hm. I don't know who did I get my quirk from. I.. am. well. You probably guessed it by now, but yeah. I'm adopted." It was a fact he didn't feel shame of, it was something he simply accepted. He had hesitated on ever telling her before due to the simple fact of not trusting her to mock him. She didn't mock him for playing the violin or being a vigilante, so he was guessing she wouldn't mock him for that, now would she?

Chise felt her mouth water at all the delicious options the black haired hero was listing off, making her that much more excited for the farmer's market. All sorts of yummy fruits and even some veggies sounded good enough for her to think of recipes for...she just had to make sure she had room at home and in her wallet for all she wanted to buy. Chise could always look up some new recipes for the different produce at the market if she were interested in buying some, nothing wrong with trying something new now. "That sounds amazing! I hope we get there early to get first pick of what they have! If not, hopefully there will still be a lot of produce left to look over and purchase," the bubbly redhead said with a chuckle. She wanted to get off this bus already and run to the market...it wasn't that practical but a girl with an ambition could surely dream.
The amethyst eyed girl would have never guessed the other was adopted, she never thought to ask such a personal question to a stranger. She had just supposed he lived a normal life like she had, not that it bothered her that he was adopted. It was not her concern nor was it any of her business to inquire about. Parents were parents, whether related by blood or not did not matter one bit. As long as there us love, then that's the only thing of importance. Chise smiled and spoke up once more, "Actually, no, I did not know. I'm sure your parents are really nice people, raising a great hero....or should I say Vigilante in this case." The peach haired girl held her hand out and said, "My name is Chise...Chise Ishihara. It's nice to meet you," the bubbly redhead said with her soft, signature smile.

It was hard not to feel a little tinge of sympathy with her, how excited she sounded when it came to fruit, the little chuckle. For just a second, he felt like she truly was like mother and could be trusted. Maybe he should really give her a chance. Reassuring himself quietly, he simply took out his phone and texted his Mom about it, asking her if he should try. If he should go for it and try to become proper friends. The answer was almost immediate: a big, round absolute "yes". To go for it, to try to become friends with another girl. What came next from Mom was a long rant about how he couldn't fear girls forever, how he had to become friends with the ones that were good and that, maybe, he wasn't really truly gay: maybe he was bisexual and all he needed was to get over his trauma.
A little sigh came out of him to her answer, quietly grateful that she didn't overreact in any way to it. Yes indeed, his adoptive parents are the best. Following Mother's advice, even if he was panicking and growing pale and shaky just from the thought of actually looking at her, he turned his eyes to her, giving her a quiet nod, even shaking her hand, although his touch was incredibly light and unsure. His hands themselves were unbelievably soft, as if he was just a young child. He may be 17, though he, his skin at least, doesn't look a day over 10. "I-Itsuki Kouta!" He forced out of his scared mouth, a clearly scared tone that surely wouldn't go unnoticed as he pulled away, looking back down, now staring into his knees.

To make a new friend was like winning the grand tournament for Chise, she wanted nothing more than to be friends with all that she could. The redhead watched as the other took out his phone, typing something in and staring down at the screen, perhaps he was talking to someone important or had to answer a message from a potential boss or something of the like. It posed no real concern to Chise, all she hoped to do was make a friend today, if possible. After a few minutes of waiting, the violet eyed girl watched as the noirette turned back to her and gently shook her hand, accepting her kind gesture. She knew it might be a little weird to talk to a stranger out of the blue, but those who are strangers are just friend you haven't made yet. Those turn out to be the best of friendships in the redhead's opinion. "It's nice to officially meet you Itsuki-san," Chise said with a soft chuckle, a bit giddy on learning the name of the one who had saved her earlier.
Chise didn't want to put any extra pressure on the boy so she turned her attention towards her feet, swing her legs back and forth as her feet barely touched the ground below her. The high school girl wondered how much longer it would be until they reached the farmer's market, maybe later when she left, it wouldn't be as crowded coming home, she would hate for any of her produce to get squished because of how cramped the bus might get. Chise looked all around a softly hummed before she yawned, making sure to cover her mouth when she did. Her medicine was kicking in but she still felt a little drowsy. Hopefully she would be more awake by the time they reached the farmer's market.

Winning a friend for Kouta was always something so unbelievably weird. He couldn't say he had friends, only acquaintances or enemies. Well, not even enemies - just people who liked to pick on him. So far, he had retaliated once and that was this very day, with the whole rubber thing. It felt cathartic and, honestly, he should do it more. Looking at her, he nodded quietly when she showed just how giddy she seemed to be over this entire situation. She really seems to be impressionable, otherwise, why would she ever be that excited over meeting him and knowing his name, out of all people? He decided to force himself to talk as well, knowing well that it was basic courtesy. "I-It's my pleasure too." Kouta said, looking up and down at her for a little second.
Turning his face back down to his feet, he took his phone again, noticing, on his GPS, just how far they still were. They had been there for like twenty minutes by now. Looking outside through the window, rush hour proved itself to be a bitch when he realized they were kinda dragging through trafic. Not wanting to make Chise mad or dissapointed, he chose to just not talk, specially since she seemed drowsy anyway. Today had been exhausting, it made sense for her to be tired. Maybe she could take a nap there. ..Maybe he should take a nap too.

Chise looked around out the widows of the bus, noticing how pretty the sky looked as they drove by slowly on the road. The redhead took her phone out and decided to snap a few pictures of the clouds outside, making sure not to get anyone's head in the picture. When she had taken a few, she pulled her phone back and looked at her pictures, smiling at how pretty the sky had looked today. Chise held her phone on her lap and hummed, not really knowing what to do to pass the time until they got to the farmer's market. She had to do something or else she'd fall asleep. She would hate to fall asleep on the bus and not be woken up. What if the bus drove by the market without her, taking her to a bus depot for the night? Now that would be scary.
Chise turned her attention back to Kouta, seeing him looking at his own phone, head down as he did. Maybe, they could keep talking or play a game to pass the time. The other people around her didn't seem that up to playing games or anything like that. "Ne Itsuki-san," the violet eyed beauty spoke up, "Would you perhaps want to play a game until we got to the market? It doesn't seem like we're moving all that fast, so perhaps if we play a game we could get the time to go by quicker," she offered with a smile, hoping the other would agree to her game...although she had to think of a game for them to play first before he agreed.

Alright, it was about time he started laying down everything he had in mind about her and what he had observed from her in order: So far, she has been nothing but supportive, gentle, warm and compassionate. Slightly childish, excitable and genuine. A slight glutton, hardworking and seemingly knows how to cook. Really, there wasn't a reason why he shouldn't be close to her and enjoying his time with a new friend. His fear of women just.. forced him to. He never knew when she might do an 1-80 on him, becoming a monster and hurting him like that caretaker had. Even the caretaker had her friendly moments, though far in between, completely ceasing once she found he had a quirk.
It wasn't healthy to fester and entretain those thoughts and memories, though he couldn't help it. He was on the brink of beggining to cry in rage of what had happened to him and how he just couldn't trust anyone, though this was all broken with her suddenly turning to him and asking him to play a game with her. A game? Did she actually grow bored so fast? Well, playing games was like, half of what he did every day and sure as shit he wouldn't reject it now. "I-I mean, sure! Anything in mind?" He asked, even tilting his head as he managed to stare at her without completely shitting his pants in fear and having a panic attack. Babysteps.

The redhead's face lit up once Kouta agreed to play a game with her. But what sort of game should they play on a bus like this? They were on a cramped bus so playing a game that required movement was out of the question. They couldn't be too loud, didn't want to disturb the driver or the other passengers now. She didn't want to play a game that would make the other too uncomfortable, but she wanted to play something that would be fun and let the time pass by quickly. Chise tapped her chin and looked up at the ceiling...what sort of game could the two of them play together?
"Maybe," the girl began speaking, "we could play something like I-spy, there are certainly enough things we can choose from both on the bus and outside the windows. Another game we could play is the 20 questions game, where we each ask the other a question until we reach 20. I might have a game or two on my phone we could play but I don't know how long my battery will hold up for..." the violet eyed femme suggested various games in hopes the other might find one that might be fun for both of them. If not, she supposed she could take a nap to pass the time, but that might be dangerous if the girl didn't wake up from her nap by the time they reached the market. She had to stay awake, she didn't want to miss what she had planned for today!

Well, she seemed quite excited to hear a "yes" from him, so much so he almost jumped up a little from how startled he got. Her suggestions all sounded fun enough, though 20 questions was the most fun game, specially because he never got to share anything about him or his life. Either he didn't have friends or he really couldn't tell those kinds of things to his parents, like his adventures as a vigilante. He hadn't told her he was gay, had he? Well, maybe she'd ask, he didn't know yet. That was the fun of the game, wasn't it?
Confirming in his own mind his choice, he finally spoke. "Erm.. All those games s-sound fun, but-- I want to play 20 questions. 20 questions sound like fun, specially if you want to get to know your new friends, right..?" Yeah, it was quite an obvious game to play, specially from all the anime he watched while preparing himself to act properly when with friends. Did it help? Not really, he came close to a full panic attack more than once just today: and she even wasn't difficult to talk to! Breathing in deep and letting it all out to clear his mind, he simply pointed to her and laid a bit to his side, letting her go first on the game.

"20 questions huh, sounds good to me," the redhead said with a smile, It had been a while since she last played this game, she remembered going to a small party and playing with a few female classmates of hers, but that was back in middle school. Things were a little different now that she was in high school, a bit more grown up, a bit more knowledgeable, a bit changed all together. It was always fun to get to know new information about the people you meet, whether they were friends or not. The information she'd learned might just come in handy one day...well perhaps not.
The peach haired girl took the other's silence as meaning she would be the first to go. No problem really! The only issue is what sort of question should she ask first? That seemed to be the tricky part of the game. She could ask a simple question as what his favorite color was, or she could ask something a bit more in depth like if there were any fun stories he knew about, or she could ask something completely off the chart like why was the sky blue. She figured the first option might be the best to start with. "Alrighty, my first question to you, Itsuki-san, is what is your favorite food. This could be anything from a savory dish, to a sweet dish, to even a favorite snack you have," the violet eyed girl said with just as much eagerness as she had before.

Well, that was good. It'd be a good way to spend the time, specially once he realized that 20 Questions was so much more harmless than what he thought. Anime had taught him to dread the first question, since it was always about some super important secret. Chise? Well, she simply asked what was his favorite food, nothing else. God, what was his favorite, though? He loved cake, he loved chocolate, he loved meatballs, he loved ribs..
Drooling just a little, along with showing an actual genuine, adorable and non-shaky smile while he thought about all of the amazings foods he had ever tried, though one always stood above all others. Nodding to himself, he quickly cleaned his lisp from the drool, trying to remain as composed as ever. "Uhm.. I actually like Cookie Cake the most. My turn. Uhm.. what do you do on your free time?" He'd ask about her favorite food as well, though he was quite afraid of looking unoriginal and boring if he were to simply turn the question back on her. Instead, he'd ask about what she did on her free time and see if she spent her time plotting ruining someone's life. Basically, he was secretely being paranoid as always.

The redhead could practically feel herself drool at Kouta's response. Cookie cake sounded really good right about now. The decadent cookie cake, the creamy icing on top, the sweet sprinkles scattered on top. Now all Chise wanted was cookie cake, curse her overly bad sweet tooth! Perhaps when she went to the grocery store next, she would buy herself a cookie cake and eat it after classes, sweets for the violet eyed girl were always a way to relieve the stress of a busy day. Maybe she'd even make her own cookie cake to share! Wait what had she been doing? Oh it was her turn to answer and ask a question!
Chise thought about the question, thinking about what her hobbies were. "Well," she started, "I do like to bake a lot. Since I have a conventional oven and access to the home ec. room at school I tend to make a lot of sweets, but I also make some savory foods as well. I like to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather and the beautiful trees around school. I don't normally shop much but when I do, I usually go for groceries or if there is a sale at one of my favorite stores. I'm learning to train from my sensei so I suppose you can include that as a hobby," she said, saying everything she believed were her hobbies. Alright, now it was time for his question, "My turn again! Is there a specific hero that you look up to?" she asked with a grin.
