Pain. It was a feeling, and in some cases an emotion. It was something you felt inside your heart, and sometimes on your body. Pain was, and is an reminder than you are alive, than you have not died. But when the pain stops, are you stronger, or are you dead? He had taken the time out of his day away from his petty shenanigans. He could only entertain himself with the peasants and underlings for so long. For every moment he spent in his own darkness, he watched the light. The more corruption he could expose and create, the more work the heroes would have. The more fame they would get when they would solve all of the cities problems. They were heroes after all. She was a hero after all. He was her father. She was his daughter. There was no reason any of them could say no to him. There wasn't anything his money couldn't buy, except people worth his time. He was done with the simple games, he needed something to stimulate him. He folded his hands behind his waist and looked out the glass window. It looked over the city, he had almost forgotten what it looked like during the day. It was nice to take a moment out of the day to live his life, rather than be stuck in meeting after meeting. For now, he would see what his daughter was up to. He had even taken the time to get a brand new suit, just for the occasion. It was dark, black, darker than the soul of the man. His tie red, a hue more vibrant than blood. His shirt, a bone white, with only a hint of age to it, despite being brand new. He smiled, looking over all of the buildings and people. They all looked like ants. This must be why she had paid for such an apartment. ~ 319 ~

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Turning the knob to the shower, Sashi sighed contently, as the last remnants of filth and soap dripped from her naked body and into the drain. It had been a long day for the young blonde. Out there, the amount of petty thievery that heroes were now called out to, was downright ridiculous. The time of a hero was naturally more expensive than the time of a regular police officer. Despite this, crime that said officers were more than capable of, had been given to heroes. Exactly why Sashi got called to these investigations were beyond her, but showing up immediately meant that the public attributed the decreased crime rates to the heroes. Perhaps this was a ploy by the government to get the general populace more trusting of this new organisation of super-powered humans. Being that Sashi had quirk, which didn't lend itself too well towards continous physical strain, having the capability of showering and then eating food by the couch while watching the news, was instrumental to her feeling reasonably well with herself before going to sleep at night.Drying herself off, the young female wrapped a towel around her torso. The blonde locks, drenched with water, were resting over her shoulders. The towel fastened on her front, resting over her chest. A soft, relieved sigh left the girls lips as she stepped out of the bath and into the master bedroom. Swiping her phone's display, from what she could tell, the official day had come to an end. Albeit, being that she was a professional hero, they could call her any time of the day. Perhaps getting properly dressed was still called for...? Nah, she'd have to switch to her heroine costume if she was going out into the city anyway. It'd only add several layers of inconvenience. Leaving the master bedroom and stepping into the living room, Sashi was completely oblivious to the fact that someone had entered her appartment. Striding across the living room towards the fridge, she pulled out a simple microwave dish, started up the microwave, humming softly to herself.Things were going well. Mary had been an excellent addition to the hero team, if Sashi was to say so herself. It was someone to cooperate with. Someone to share the burdens with. The pain, the suffering, yet also the good times. It was truly a different time in Sashi's life. Less oppressive, less dominant, more freedom. Opening the microwave when it gave off a soft ring ring ring, Ssahi grabbed the small thai-box of noodles, placing a small plate underneath it, who knew if it could drip onto her floor, god forbid. Turning around from the microwave, a clattering errupted from her feet as she had dropped her little microwave meal onto the floor. "O-o-oto-sama?" Sashi stuttered. The girl's frame was immediately broken, her facial expression painted in shock. Simply seeing him there was enough to completely freeze the girl in her tracks. Unable to speak, unable to move, unable to act. Why in the hell was he there?

Thugs, thieves and petty criminals. They had taken up far too much of his time. They were mindless and couldn't think for themselves. In that sense, they were perfect. He didn't have the power of the Robatik Industries, nor the skill of the Kobayashi Clan, but he had numbers. An army of ants could eat a tiger if their numbers were large enough. He was up to his neck in deeds and his own plans to even think about his own bloodline. He needed a change of pace. Something to remind him of what it was all for. He could hear the sounds of her feet, as well as the buttons being pressed. He didn't mind so much not being noticed. He was enjoying the view of Tokyo. He had never taken a moment to appreciate the little things, at least not until today. He let out a soft hum at the sound of ceramics shattering. Was it out of anger, or foolishness? He gave a low, soft chuckle as he would slowly turn to face his next of kin. "I sure hope I'm not interrupting something important." he would say it with kindness, as if it was from the depths of his heart. But with him, any offering he gave, meant he was willing to take double what he had traded. "I only wished to see how my darling daughter was doing." he spoke again, in the same manner. He did not entirely care for the girl, nor what she was doing. If she wanted to play hero, so do it. She would bring him glory, even if she stopped petty things. Everything that she did, outside of his little ring or inside of it, benefited him. She could have served him just as well in the underbelly of things, but he already had someone for that assignment. And unlike his daughter, she did not use her quirk outside of his permission. The girl seemed to be made of stone, refusing to change or move. Had see seen a ghost? Or perhaps something more frightening? Ah yes, it must have been a demon. Or her father. ~ 357 ~

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Quietly bending herself forwards, getting down on her knees, Sashi attempted her best to clean the impromptu mess that had been created after the initial shocked reaction. The shards of porcelain were sharp. So, opening the box of food, Sashi began simply stocking the shards into the meal. With Sato here, there wasn't a single way that the blonde female could eat anything. Staggering on her feet, Sashi heard full well what her father was saying. Remaining composed in his presence was difficult. Making mistakes was often immediately punished with remarks or comments that cut deeper than any knife. To say that his words had power over the young female was an understatement. With a warped mind from so many years, it was difficult for Sashi to even consider standing up to him. The little voice in the back of her mind, complaining loudly that Sato had simply walked in on her private grounds, was almost completely deafened out by the loud voices reminding her that her father could not be disappointed. "E-excuse me, father. L-let me quickly clean up my clu-clumsy mess.." This ought to buy her a few moments to consider what was going on. To understand exactly why Sato had come by unannounced. While in the kitchen, throwing out the garbage, Sashi quickly went through her phone in an attempt to find answers. There was nothing overlooked. Nothing that she had forgotten.
"O-of course not. There is n-nothing more important than family. You taught me well, father." Slowly stepping through the living room, Sashi headed directly for the master bedroom, quickly finding herself a pristi9ne, yet casual set of clothes that she could wear and look respectable quickly. "A-as you can see, I have settled in. A f-few things are missing, the view is fantastic though..." Internally, Sashi was beating herself up over having mentioned the importance of family. Now there wasn't a single excuse that the blonde female could cook up to get rid of him. Or perhaps there was. "I-I'm on call f-for patrol. I-if they need me, I have no choice b-but to dart." A few minutes ago, Sashi was praying that there wouldn't be a sudden call in. Now, the blonde female hoped for nothing more than being called.
His presence was so oppressive, the girl could hardly breathe normally.

He spoke nothing about her miss, to him it was meaningless words. It held no weight, just words that were said in place of an awkward silence. He would continue to stare over the city. He never really had a moment of peace, but as of now he had all of the time in the world. All of his chess pieces were arranged where they needed to be. He had countless pawns that had served their purpose, while other more valuable pieces defended what was his kingdom. She was a piece on his board. She was no queen. She was no knight. There was nothing that changed the game for him. But she, was in essence, a rook. And in the case he fell, he could, and would change places with her. She would take his fall. After all, she was another piece of his board... his massive game of chess. "Oh? Then I guess you are learning." he would say. Family was important. The family. No, the family name. What mattered was the honor that she brought to his name. But the day she fell from grace, he would let her hit the concrete. She was nothing worth saving. She would step away, perhaps to toss out the broken dish she had created or to dress herself. "Are you asking for help? Should I call for assistance? Or are your servants adequate enough?" he asked her, wondering what the case was. He could not allow someone that carried his name to live like a savage. A barren home was no good. They had plenty of money to fill this home with all kinds of things, even if she was never home to enjoy all of them. But then she continued, on call? That would not do. "I trust you will not make any mistakes. I would hate to discover such failures." He would then adjust his footing, his body turning, twisting to face her. A smile was cut into his plastic face. Everything about him was fake, behind a guise of pretend. "You will bring Japan great honor with you work." he would say, "But have you heard of some of the upcoming evils?" His expression would fade, into something as cold as ice, or rather his heart. "What am I saying, you're a hero now. You must be updated about all of the smuggling that has been going on." He would say, turning his head to look around her apartment. It was homey, roomy. Did she live alone? Who else had access to such a place? Could he, or others get in as easy? "It would be disappointing to know that Japan's top hero was ill informed. What am I saying." and a smile would again cross his face, a cheshire grin. His daughter was never a disappointment. She was the one that would bring them a great fortune. ~ 481~

Wait fuck how did I not realize Sato was Sashi's dad?!?!?
WELL. TIME TO GRADE THIS.
Sato: + 10 XP Sashi: + 8 XP
Short, sweet, and to the point. Sashi needs a better dad. Might I recommend literally anyone else?
This is going to end badly. 🐾 Keiran 🐾
