She knocked on the door. It was the early afternoon, a weekend. She didn't need to stay at the school on weekends, at least not that late. She had left early. Before she had gone to clean the school she was dressed for her other job, with the man that wanted to serve the common people. She stood there, straightening the bow tie that was around her neck. It was fine, made of scraps like all of her attire. She did not understand the concept of money, but she did grasp the idea of wasting materials. She would never throw out anything that could still be used. Her vest was made of the left overs of tuxedos. It was nice, quality material, but if anyone looked close enough you could notice the small differences in pattern and consistency of the black vest. The same was with her rest shirt. While the main part of it actually looked maroon, the sleeves were more rose red. But still, they were rolled up past her elbows. Her left arm was wrapped and bandaged. Her slacks were gray, one side held pinstripes, while the other had no pattern. But of course, she was a tailor of sorts, so perhaps she was a walking example of all of the materials she could work with. Her pink hair was free, and pushed over her shoulders, her horns still on her head, a normal size, but blood was dried around the area where they existed. She waited. She waited to meet the man who could offer her another full time job. ~ 264 ~

It was already quite the journey just to get to Amadeus' door. A secluded megamansion built into the sideof a mountain, with one of the only plain places in it serving as the entrance. Not only that, the gates were not exactly easy to get into, which meant she needed to be allowed in by the silent butler, who already knew that his sir was expecting visits. With Kas knocking on the door, that meant that she was ready to meet him, so the butler left quietly to go warn him.
What was Amadeus doing? Dressed in a plain, old white T-Shirt and black cargo pants, both of which were incredibly cheap for a man of his tastes, he also had a blacksmith's apron on him, along with dark leather gloves to protect him from the heat he was creating whenever he worked on his weaponry, along with a black welding mask to protect his eyes from the light he constantly created. What was he working on right now? From several blueprints and research papers of his own spread across several tables, he was trying to create new ammunition that wouldn't burn on being shot, like one saw on the movies. So far, little success on creating anything too complicated, though he had managed to make some progress on making a sharpnel bullet, with the same functions of a sharpnel grenade. Who knew, maybe he'd do it soon.
Being notified by his butler that the "weird tailor girl" was right on his door, Amadeus simply gave him the order to bring her in, since he couldn't waste a single moment of work, specially not when he felt like he was just this close to a breakthrough. Not when he was this close to completing another step in the development of firearms.
When brought into his workshop by the butler, all that Kas could smell was burnt metal, sweat and some smoke, all coming from the desk in which the large man, with the exact same bodytype as Amadeus, was working on. Hard to believe it was him, from how cheap the clothing he was using right now really was. From the fact he didn't even move when she got into the workshop, it was to assume he didn't hear her come in.

She was led to a room that smelled of fire, like a barbecue with a hint of metal. She liked it. This place seemed nice. She looked around and found only one man that could wear the suits she made. It had to be the same guy. She wondered what he made. She looked at the business card again squinting her eyes. She would have to get glasses later. "Hey, so I'm here to make your suits, and stuff?" she announced her presence, but was still unsure how to go about getting the job. Never had she been put in such a strange layout. She hoped it would go well. She didn't even think to bring her resume or other paperwork with her. Now that she thought about it, she really wasn't that prepared. "So I'm here to discuss my pay I think?" Kasey was terribly confused. Cafes. Schools. Hospitals. Offices. Markets. Pharmacies. Everywhere she worked had benefited her in some personal way and taught her a new skill to help with the next. Here she stood, a tailor, behind a man who worked with his hands, manufacturing who knows what kind of machines and devices. Could this be another chapter to learn from, or would she continue to work with the threads and needles born from her own body? ~ 220 ~

His focus on the several blueprints was broken the moment he heard a familiar voice behind him. Though familiar he didn't quite remember why. A short time of thinking after, just enough for him to raise his mask was enough for him: the weird tailor he had met on a local shop, who else? He didn't really give businesscards and his location to just anyone, after all. It was a sweet surprise to have her actually show up with interest in working for him, even if it was remote and honestly slightly suspicious. He knew very well that he lived in a remote place.
With a quick nod, the silent Amadeus slipped off the mask, placing it gently on the table, as to not break anything he was working on. She seemed to be there only with the clothing on her and possibly a weapon or two for defence. He couldn't tell, he didn't care. He did not fear anything or anyone, for he knew that he wouldn't die before his objective was realized. Crazy thoughts aside, he sighed and cleared his throat, not caring to take off the blacksmith's apron, or even change into actually expensive clothing. He was comfortable with what he had.
"Why yes, you are here to discuss that. As a tailor working for me, you'll be working on a per-job pay, which means it'll fluctuate according to the price of the material and dificulty of the job I ask of you. Not only that, you'll get paid every time you do something I request. This can be multiple times a month or once in every few months. Is this agreeable?" For a proper deal, first lay out all the worthwhile details first, things to keep in mind and how the salary will be given. With those out of the way, any possible problem in the future would just be in his favor, since the usual complaint of the employee would always end up easily debunked by him. Though, if he could avoid the employee ever wanting to complain, he usually went for that. Either way, he simply waited for her answer, taking the time to start organizing the blueprints and research papers.

She was used to the random locations. With Ketsujo Corp backing her up, everything was a car ride away. She preferred to travel on foot, but sometimes there just wasn't somewhere she could walk to. It was her own personal matter, they didn't need to dote on her, as soon as they dropped her off, her driver would head away, off to do his own thing. She was on her own. He explained the terms. She would get paid per service, per suit, per job and what not. It wasn't so different. She would pop in every so often to take care of business, other than that, she would do her own thing. Simple enough. "Das fair. I suppose the fabric and payment would be discussed at a later time then, depending on what you want." She smiled, it made sense. There was no real reason to argue. He was the boss after all, and he did pay a pretty penny. "So you don't want me to clean and steam ya other stuff? Just make more suits? That's a hell of a lot easier than what I used to do. Just tell me what else you want me to sew up and I can get it done."She had taken to such measures with Sato. Often his clothes would be stained with blood or torn, or damaged in some way. She either had to redo his suits and clothing, or simply make him new ones. He had tons of fabric on standby. And with the frequency that he needed everything, she now had an unlimited supply of clothing to make. She only really bought clothing when she was lazy, or didn't feel like making something. And those were all second hand, the cheapest materials she could get. All materials that would soon turn into her footwear. Maybe she could also work another deal with Sato to get some more fabric for her clients, or rather, client. "Should I be doing all of my work, here, or should I do it at home and deliver it?" she was curious as to how he wanted things done. He seemed like a busy man, she was only planning on how to go about her business. ~ 372 ~

He heard her questions, figuring that she clearly had never really worked for someone of his caliber, at least, doing things like tailoring. Cleaning and steaming was for the maids not for the tailor. A sarcastic, almost pitying smile appeared on his face, a low chuckle appearing on his face as he gave her a "No" with his head, deciding to tell her exactly what she'd do. "Doing suits. Nothing else. You'll be working at an office I will prepare for you should you accept."
Now, he had to consider exactly what he should pay her. Of course the upper limit was almost non existent, it all depended on the material. Though, he should have a minimum. If he were to ask her for something made out of cheap material, he wouldn't just pay for her skills and time with like 500 Yen or something stupid like that. Going from the payment he usually gave to his maids, along with a little extra due to the difficulty of her job would suffice, at least for now. He couldn't give her too much, he recognized she wasn't as good as the masters.. though paying her pretty would motivate her to improve. "Minimal payment starts at seven hundred thousand yen. The uplimit is next to none, it depends on the cost of the fabric." He told her with a confident, though once again stoic face that he always carried with him everywhere.
Thinking that their negotiations were over, he turned her back to her again, slipping down the welding mask back on, returning to trying out various shell designs on the sharpnel bullets. Maybe if he tried a shotgun casing full of the bullets.. Maybe that'd work. Though, if he wanted it to be used on Handguns, he might just have to create a new handgun that could fire them. He knew they existed, though their designs were rubbish, to be quite honest. "I believe we're done here, unless you have anything else to say?" He asked while grabbing a pencil and an empty sheet of paper, already working on designing a proper gun in his own style that could fire shotgun rounds. Or.. should he actually design a gun that can change in a way that allows him to use the two vastly different types of casing. That would actually be quite the breakthrough.. Maybe.

Numbers. They were all meaningless to her. She couldn't count, but if she could, the amount she had, would dwarf anything she would get paid. She cut every financial corner. She lived off scraps and donations, never spending a penny she didn't need to. She wore dresses only worth a few hundred yen. She bought cheap food. She didn't have expensive tastes, she never allowed herself to enjoy the pricey things. Her suit now, was made of high qulaity material, but not a dime was spent on it. It was made from scraps. An office? So she would have her own private section. She would organize her own area to help better herself. If that was the case, either he was going to make a lot of orders to her, or she was going to reoutfit all that lived in that building, if anyone did. If it was anything like Ketsujo Corp, surely some people called this place home. He then listed a price, as well as factoring fabric. So it was true, she would be the one who could get the materials. She would work with Sato to see to it that another home was dressed in his materials. Even if it was his rival, surely it would be a victory for him, even if it didn't fill his wallet. But Kasey would not know such a thing. Not now at least. He would return to his work, and it seemed as if the deal was done. All she had to do was find it on paper for a proper contract. "Yepyep!" she would say, "Just let me know what to sew and stitch, mister." and she would give her salute to him before taking a step backwards to the door. Was there more to say? Probably, but not today. This would be the end of their first deal. The next she would arrive with all kinds of materials. She would do so as both his personal tailor, as well as ambassador from Ketsujo Corp. No one needed to know that she was Sato's personal assistant. ~ 347 ~

Kasey Setsuna: 8 EXP Amadeus Asimov: 7 EXP
Not much went on here, Kasey got the job though. Congrats. -I personally would be impressed with a tailor that wore the remains of all their scraps. But to a super rich business man, that might look tacky and unprofessional. Let’s see what Amadeus thinks. Plus she has dry blood on her head, that’d be alarming to anyone.
-Oh, no mention.
-You know, I used to live in a gated apartment complex in Florida. Around that time I was like 13 or 14. Me and my dad used to go on Father son walks ever sunday and just talk. While we walked we always saw a old man with rag tag clothes on walking while reading a newspaper. Every now and again he’d come up to us and be like, “It’s good to see some father son bonding in todays time, blah, blah.” And my dad would talk to him. Eventually he revealed that he was the owner of the whole complex. The man was rich. My dad instantly believed him but I didn’t. I went the lady we paid our bill to one day after school and asked her, and she was like, “Yeah, idk why he dresses like that, but he’s my boss’ boss. Owns every single apartment here.” I shared that story because I love seeing rich people in everyday commoner clothing. It reminds me of that memory and the old man’s modesty. When I would walk my dog by myself, I’d see him and go out my way to talk to him and we’d talk shit about other kids my age in the complex. He’d complain about them ruining stuff around here and I’d talk about how they’re the same troublemakers in school too.
-700,000 yen!? Where’s my application at? That’s like 7,000 USD because you remove two decimals for a rough conversion from yen to usd. Ah, just looked it up. To be exact, that’s 6,335.00 United States Dollars.
-I am curious to know who Sato is. Whether they’re a real character or a NPC in Kasey’s life.
