She sat down in the cafe, taking a seat in the large booth by herself. She had lost track of time and of the day. She set her rose back beside her and opened it up. She took out her phone and a few of the little trinkets make of bone. Each of the six objects she took out looked like people out of a fantasy tale, save for the one man on the end. The first of them was a large lizard like creature, one that looked like it was a slave, chained, or perhaps it broke free. He stood tall, and proud. The second and third were little cat like females. Both of them where in suggestive poses, and both of them had cat ears and a tail. The fourth was a fully armored knight. The fifth looked like a real skeleton. All of them had pieces and bits of armor like they had came from battle. The sixth, however, was a man, crouching on the ground. He wore a jacket and slacks and had glasses atop his forehead and spiked hair. All of the figures had no facial features. All of them standing between four and six and a half inches tall. Kasey waved over to one of the waitresses and mouthed her order. She had came often enough that she barely needed to speak. She set her bag back down at her side, and awaited her meal. Her own attire modest for the day. A green military jacket. Her grey shirt and red scarf. Although, it was white when she bought it. Her pants were black, and like always her wore no shoes. Instead bandages covered her feet. "We're gonna get our food soon!" she would speak to her little bone army. After all, she never liked the idea of eating alone. ~ 306 ~

Yuri was walking down the street's alone in her off duty hours. She had just finished a recording session at the studio and now it was time for some R&R! It was always difficult for the pop star to move about un noticed, and if she didn't want to draw attention to her vigilante persona, she couldn't really hide herself from the masses. Instead she just had to chose quieter paths and alternate them to hide from people that might swarm her!
Thankfully today seemed to be quiet. While she had a few younger fans stop and point, no one would rush towards her screaming for her autograph. It was nice. Not that she didn't love her fans, she really did, but having some time to herself would be great. Just as these thoughts passed through her mind she noticed a quaint little cafe with just a few patrons inside. She quickly decided to duck in, smiling kindly to the waitress that greeted her. It was obvious she was trying not to shriek with joy...
"I...It's Yuri! I mean! Hello and welcome! Please sit anywhere you like! That section over there is mine if you... wanted to sit... there..." She would oogle the young pop star who would just giggle and wink at the girl.
"Thanks darling! I think I will. " She would say with the same pleasant smile before going to find herself a table. She would pass by Kasey's table and stop, eyeing the lonely girl curiously and noting the assortment of figures on the table. Hm... people did tend to bug her less when she already had company... welp, looks like this girl was going to get voluntold for the job!
"Excuse me... hi sorry to bother you, those little figures. Did you carve them yourself?" She would ask in an attempt to strike up a conversation with the stranger.

A girl approached her. People. Humans. Quirkless. Who cares. She hated being alone, but she hated people more. "I do not carve them." she would look at the girls face, before turning to face them. What was the word she was looking for? There was many ways to explain what they were, and many ways to explain how she made them, but which was actually the correct term? "They are grown." She would say, resting her head on her palms as both her elbows rested on the table. She would sigh, thinking about what she really set out to do. She wanted to bring peace, by eliminating evil and torture. Was that possible? The more she thought about it, the more it seemed that light would always cast a shadow. She needed to find a way that could regulate both good and evil, but that was something to think about later. For now, she would work all of her jobs until she could amass the fortune she wanted. She needed an endless supply of money. And while others might have fainted at her own fund amounts, Kasey herself had no concept of expenses. She needed more. More than she could fathom. "I make grow them." she would say again. She didn't like the idea of having to talk to another person today, but for now, perhaps the sound of just her breathing would sooth her. Just the idea of being alone would start to strike fear into her. "You can sit with us if you want." Kasey would tell the young girl. ~ 262 ~

"You grow them?" Yuri would ask curiously, tilting her head to the side as she watched this strange girl lean on the table and just stare at these little creations of hers. She had no idea what they were made of, but she was sure you couldn't grow something made to look like this.. at least, not unless it was your quirk? Seemed like a pretty pointless quirk at first glance.
"You mean you grow it with your quirk? That's kind of cool, what are they made of?" The girl repeated herself in a way that suggested she wasn't completely fluent in speaking. The girl would chuckle a little nervously before sitting down at the table across from her just as the other girl invited her to with with 'them'. So, these things were alive now? This was getting stranger by the minute, but it would still provide enough of a deterrent for anyone to come charging at her...
"My name is Yuri by the way, thank you for letting me sit with you, it would have been a little annoying to sit here alone." She said with a smile, only looking away from the pink haired girl when the waitress came back over to take Yuris order. Even though this was a cafe and they sold specialty dishes, Yuri was quick to order almost everything off of the menu! All kinds of fatty foods and drinks, anything really! Yuri's quirk burned a shit ton of calories, she always needed to make sure she ate a lot! She couldn't complain, lots of people would kill to be able to eat anything they wanted and never get fat.

Japanese. It was the language of Japan. Japanese people spoke Japanese. It was simple on the surface. But she did not recognize the language, even as her native tongue. The voice in her head spoke in a twisted language, and she would reply back in the same. She did not know the difference in the tongues, or dialects. She would maybe one day learn the difference in languages, or that other countries spoke other tongues. But to her, people would always talk strange. Only her and Setsuna were normal to her. "I grow them, then I make them." she would again say, a bit confused. She wasn't sure how to describe it, and the more she tried to explain it, the less she begun to find any words to make sense. "They're from my bones. I'm not sure how to explain." she would admit it. There wasn't words she was able to use today at least to tell the stranger. "My name is Kasey." she would say, almost formally, perhaps too formal for the occasion. She had ordered earlier, wondering when they would arrive with her order. A burger with three patties, each of them cooked more than the the other. One medium-well, the second well-done, and the third burnt. Bacon, just as crispy as the last patty, and barbecue sauce, not inside the burger, but on top of it, allowing it to cascade over the bun and drip to the sides. Always with a side of fries, whatever they had left as scraps, the things they would throw away. And any time she finished it, they would give her whatever else was left for the day. She only ever paid for the burger, and always seemed to leave a tip that was more than her meal. Cafe, diner, it was all the same to her. Sliders, burgers, sandwiches... all of them were food. "Today, may I have cake?" she would speak to the waitress, only after the girl was finished. "I think we will have a cake today." Cake. Only one other time she had ordered a slice. She would never again do get a slice of cake. Not even today. She wanted the entire thing. "It is not so bad," Kasey would say, speaking back to the girl to reply to her comment about her company, "We don't talk when we eat. We only want to eat our food."We. Us. Them. She did not speak about the figures. She did not talk about the things she made of bone. Of course.... Kasey was never alone. She always had someone with her. Even when she didn't want them there. ~ 440 ~

"..." Yuri found herself speechless as she listened to the girl try to explain how her quirk worked in her broken language. It honestly barely made any sense at all, but she thought she could get the gist of it. So she would grow these figures from her bones and then shape them somehow... though not carve them as she had earlier suggested. It sounded... well disgusting to be honest. It meant that at some point, this girls bones had to come out of her body.
"Right, alright that makes sense. That's a pretty cool quirk, they're really pretty" She would note as she made motion towards the little figures. An awkward silence would fall between the two of them for a moment as Yuri tried to think of what else she could talk to the girl about. She found herself eyeing the window outside several times to make sure no one was stopping to stare before opening up her mouth to speak, but then quickly closing it again whenever Kasey was brought her burger. Instantly the speedsters stomach began to growl hungrily and she would turn red, just laughing it off.
"Hahaha, sorry about that! I tend to eat a lot because of my own quirk! It uses up a lot of energy so... oh, yeah sorry" Yuri would fall silent as Kasey would interject with the fact that she didn't want to talk while she ate. She understood that well enough, she never even had time to eat and talk at the same time to be honest, so she might as well give the girl the same courtesy.
She waited well into Kasey devouring her burger before her mass amounts of food began showing up. Everything from little sandwiches, to 3 different kinds of burgers, a medium sized pizza with loads of different toppings, amongst other various plates here and there. She would grin widely, thanking the waitresses that brought out the different meals before digging in herself!
One could compare the young girl to an animal as she devoured her plates rather voraciously, shovelling the food into her mouth as fast as she possibly could, only now and then offering some to Kasey before taking whatever was left to be devoured. She was moving so fast, it almost wouldn't seem human.
When she finished, the waitresses came back with a full cake, and a large sugar pie. She still kept quiet, not wishing to disrupt Kasey as she began to devour said pie.

The food would arrive and Kasey would eat it just as she always did; with her hands. She would dive in, getting messy and devouring the burger in front of her. Her own jaw would click and fall out of place to only widen, her teeth would grow sharp and jagged and they would sink into her prey. She would consume the burger in no more than four bites, the barbecue sauce getting all over her hands and face. She would begin to lick her own fingers, cleaning her hands to not sully the taste of her other options. All the while licking her cheek cleaning most of her face, still leaving some of her food around her cheek bones. She would take anything, and everything the girl would offer to Kasey, taking it with pleasure. She would fill in and snack on her fries between every bite, never allowing her mouth to not be chewing some kind of food. She liked this girl. She seemed nice, and she also offered food. When they had finished their first course, the plates would be picked up and taken away. Kasey would have left a single fry for each of her own friends, with larger meals to the larger figures. That was her own sense of equality. But then the woman would come back with dessert, only to have Kasey smile. But she would pause. "I've never met anyone that also has to eat for their quirk. It is a nice change to have." she would speak, before scooping a piece of her cake with her hands only to chomp on it. Still, her teeth would he pointed, just as any shark or predator. She would continue to eat, but this time, making a smaller mess, savoring the cake. ~ 297 ~

Yuri's own face wouldn't exactly be the cleanest thing to look at. She constantly wiped away at it with her napkins as she ate away. There was a display of ketchup and mustard when eating her burger, stray cheese from her hot dog, different sauces from the chicken wings, etc. When she would finally look up to find Kasey with the same 'art' displayed on her face Yuri couldn't help but giggle, especially after her comment about how it was nice to have someone else who was so incorrigible!
"Yeah it is! People usually look at me like I'm a freak when I'm eating, but I can't help it! Sometimes it's the absolute WORST to have everything you do monitored and broadcast on TV n stuff... they always catch these awkward situations..." She would huff as she stood up from her seat to move over to Kas' side of the booth, scooching in closer to her as she scooped up the cake, just about ready to eat it, sharp fangs at the ready and all.
"Hold on hold on, you've got something here. It'll ruin the cake!" She stated as she leaned in towards Kas quite suddenly. Then even more out of nowhere, Yuri's tongue would slide up the ride side of Kas' cheek, licking up the stray BBQ sauce with one quick motion. She would lick her lips and just laugh at how ridiculous the situation was. Not only did she lick another girls face, but that same girl was now devouring an entire cake! Kas was honestly her kind of friend!
"That was weird, hahaha sorry I couldn't let that go to waste! Hehe, how's the cake?" She would ask with a big grin on her face as she promptly frowned herself in her own pie while still sitting next to Kas. She was mindful of the figures now in front of her though.

The feeling. That strange warm touch. The trail of moisture that covered her cheek. It was different. It was nice. Kasey would giggle to herself, thinking only of that moment. She wanted it again, just like when Gigi patted her head. She continued to dig into the cake, only moving over to the side to allow the girl to get more comfortable in her seat. She was in her way, her only way out of that booth. But it was alright. For now, Kasey wanted to be trapped here. For now, she would allow herself to become engulfed in this girl's desires. Even if she never got that feeling again. As long as there was a chance it would happen again . . . Her face messy, stopped her move her hands to the side of the cake away from her. She set them on the table, her fingers covered in frosting and chocolate. "Help yourself." she would say. Kasey would smile, her cheeks turning red as she turned to her figures. "Amado naneun . . . igeos-eul jikil geos-ida."* She would whisper to them, a smile on her face. A tongue that was engraved to the back of her mind. It may not have been her native tongue, but it was one she spoke with such ease it almost seemed like it was so. "You are on the TV?" Kasey would ask, only recalling a single show she had watched, "What do you do inside of the box?" She was curious. What kind of person was this girl when she was away from the table? ~ 266 ~

"Hahahaha Thank you" Yuri stated with a wide smile on her face, her cheeks dusted with red because of the lick she had given the girl. It was such an odd thing to do, but she really hadn't put much thought into it. There was food on her face! How could she NOT!? Well... regardless, the girl was now offering to share her cake and Yuri happily obliged by taking a piece for herself, showing down in the same, messy manner as Kasey did.
"Wow it's really good... mmm... uh, the box?" Yuri asked mid bite of her cake, raising her eyebrow as she looked from Kasey to the small TV perched u p in a corner of the cafe. She nearly choked on the food, forcing herself to swallow it before letting a light laugh escape her lips.
"You're so funny Kasey! Hehehe I don't go in the box! It's like... a camera with a moving picture, but people take moving pictures of me when I sing and dance." Yuri tried to inform the girl, trying to think of the best way to describe what 'being on TV meant'. An idea suddenly came to mind and Yuri would pull out her phone, unlocking it and swiping through a few screens before pulling up Utube. She would pull up one of her concert videos and turn it towards Casey, letting the music play for her.

She too, seemed to enjoy it by the messiest means necessary. Perhaps it upset the cooks or the chef, but there would not be a single crumb left behind when the two of them were done. Perhaps that was all that could help the kitchen sleep at night. The food was just so good, they didn't want to waste time with cutlery. And maybe they could have savored every bite... but who was to say that they weren't? The girl would go on to explain how televisions worked, of which, she already understood. There was tiny magical men that worked inside of the box that worked with little lights based on messages others sent. At least, that was the story she was told, and it had amused her. But she understood how telephones and other technology worked. Perhaps she had asked it in a strange way. Kasey did not laugh or smile when the girl did, not finding the humor in her own words. As she continued to eat, the girl would take out her phone to play a song. The voice it played was beautiful, magnificent. She wasn't so daft as to ask if it was her, it had to be her answer. "Oh, so you are a musical artist." Singer, musician. Both words seemed to escape her, her own vocabulary failing her. "I bet you must be very famous then." and she would smile, her words would unknowingly cut one of the deepest wounds in her heart after they fell out of her mouth. "Your parents must be very proud of you."Parents. Children. Siblings. Cousins, uncles and aunts. Family. It was the one thing she no longer had in this world. It was the one thing she wished she could remember. It was one gift, she would not be blessed with. She was cursed to walk this road alone. ~ 312 ~

"That's right, I won't lie... it's one of the reasons I asked to sit with you in the first place... fans are great and all but they don't leave you alone... ever, unless you're with someone else. So I thought I kinda might... hide behind you a little bit... Sorry about that..." She said nervously as she rubbed the back of her neck. She didn't mean to use Kasey per se... but she had really been hoping for some peace and quiet while eating. She hadn't really expected t meet someone like her, and grow to enjoy this persons company. She did find herself slowly growing attached to Kasey, and hoped the two could be friends after this. At the mention of her parent's though, she couldn't help but scoff long before she could hide it.
"That couldn't be further from the truth. My parent's don't give a shit about me, what I do or what I want. They just care about WHAT I can do in terms of my quirk... they're not exactly model citizens. " She would grumble, ready to rant and rage on her parents but shutting her mouth about their true identities. The last thing she needed was the public to know that her mother was a master thief, and her father was a Yakuza kingpin. She looked back up to Kas' face once the video ended and brought her free hand up to the girls head, lightly petting her as she smiled brightly.
"Hey... sorry if that hit a nerve. If you want, I could be your sister? You sound like you could use one" She'd say kindly, not knowing anything about Kas, but the look that crossed her eyes told her it wasn't a very pleasant story.

She listened inventively. She would not interrupt, nor speak a word until that girl was done, even going as far to stop eating for the moment. As she went on about her parents not giving a damn, she had completely dismissed the matter of Kasey being used for company. In her eyes, Kasey was the perfect model citizen. She worked several jobs. She was never late. She paid her rent early, and on occasion, when the police were too busy, she took matters into her own hand. She even went as far to eliminate all of them from the face of the planet so even the police didn't have to write up a report. The coroners wouldn't have to dispose of a body either, because she would take care of that too. "Sister?" that word was part of that f-word. They all belonged together, but that word alone, was meaningless to her. Sisters did not lick each other. Perhaps that was someone Kasey would crave at the later point. She was not going to allow a word to get in her way. "We don't need to be a family to spend time with each other. We can be friends." She would smile, stopping and having no longer a craving for her meal. She would leave the rest for the girl. "If you need help with your career, I think I can help maybe. I do a lot of cleaning jobs, maybe I can clean the venues after you preform." She was smiling, she was happy. Maybe she was going to be Kasey's first real friend. ~ 265 ~

"You're right, we dont have to be a family at all, it just sounded like... nevermind." Yuri quickly shut up whenever Kas shut the idea down. Clearly Yuri had looked far more into it than she should have, and her face started to flush slightly at the mishap. Still though, she would smile when Kas offered to be friends and she nodded, leaning over and taking Kas' hands in her own as she looked the strange girl in the eyes.
"Friends then!" She said contently, chuckling softly as she made their friendship official with this unusual handshake. Whenever Kas went on to mention helping out with her career, Yuri grew a little hesitant... She already had so many people watching her every move that it made it difficult for her to move as a Vigilante at all... would having Kasey so close by be such a good idea? Who was she kidding, she had just promised to be her friend, and honestly Yuri could use a true friend...
"Why don't we meet with my manager? He usually takes care of the other employees around me, so he would be the one to talk too about what you could do! Hey, I need a stylist in the dressing room, I've got so many costumes and stuff, maybe you could help me with that too?" She asked of her, not wanting her new friend to be stuck cleaning...

That word. It was on the tip of her tongue. What was that word. It was that word she read, that word he said. That word.... what word was she reaching for? "We can spend forever!" she said those words, but that was not the word. What did people normally call each other? What did they refer to each other when they longed for forever? Titles. What title was she reaching for? Her hands would be grabbed by the girl, only to have both of their gazes fall into each other. As she spoke again, Kasey would shiver at the thought. She did not have any special friends, or any friends. She had family, but no friends. This girl was a special friend, her only friend. Was family more than friends? Or was friends more than family? "Oh okay!" Kasey would say with enthusiasm, "I'm a tailor too, I can get fabrics for cheap, but I never did hair before!" She was surrounded by the world of fashion, even if she didn't even enjoy it herself. Her life was backwards. She had mistaken kisses as meaningless gestures and face licking as special actions. She had thought of family as something lower than friends, as her friend, was more than family. She had no need for acquaintances. She only needed people who were worth her time. Worth her friendship. Friends. She was Kasey's first friend. Her female friend. Her girl friend. Girlfriend. That was the word. ~ 245 ~
