The Cleanest Tile!

She looked up to one of the approaching sounds. A girl? Perhaps it wasn't the best place to camp out. She got up and quickly snatched the sign, "Sorry," she said, "It's actually dry, I'll move this all out of your way." Kasey spoke, trying not to make a big deal of everything.

She got the sign and went back to the mop and the bucket with it. She placed the mop inside and begun to roll it all away. She didn't want to disturb anymore, but it would seem that in a school like this, that was inevitable. But it was then that her stomach growled. How long had it been since she last ate? No, she bought all of that food with Kei. Did she eat it all already? She was terribly confused. She would pause with the signs in hand, in the middle of the hallway, her stomach continuing to growl.

"I work in a building I don't even know the floor plan of yet. And I don't even remember how I got up here." she grumbled to herself.

Did she even set up her direct deposit? Well, she would find out in two weeks. Now was the time to find out where to get food.

Students. They were all useful tools. And for her sake, would be the reason she even had a job. The more messes they made, was more money she'd get paid. Well, at least it was hourly.

"Lemme just put this. . . " she thought about where to store the mop and bucket. It would serve to be stored in the closet, if she could find one, or at least the bathroom. Surely that would be around. She would turn to face the girl, wheeling the mop and bucket around towards her. "I'm not busy, I think this was all I had to do today, for now at least. I just gotta put this back somewhere." She looked around, confused still.

"Can you show me where the ladies room is?" she asked, finding it to be the place to store it. The closet would be for a later date, and the more she wondered where they were, the more it seemed that she would need a key to open it. She just had to get rid of it, and she would go on lunch. But she didn't know how much time she had, or where she could eat it. Teacher's lounge ? or perhaps with the students in the cafeteria? Well, she would just do her own thing until she got yelled at. As long as she didn't make a mess or get in the way, she should do fine.

The girl would lead her to the bathroom, and Kasey would quickly roll in the mop. She looked around the vacant restroom, only to place it into the far corner, away from everything else. It wasn't the best idea, but it was something to get done for now.

"I'd use a storage room, but I haven't gotten the keys yet." she spoke, laughing nervously as she exited past the girl. It was a strange interaction, but it still was one none the less. She had nothing else to do anyways. WOuld it be slacking off if she had already done her job?

"I'm Kasey," she would tell the girl, using her real name for once, "I'm . . .really new here actually. Heh. . . " she felt really strange and out of place. She was almost sure every kid possessed a power stronger than her own quirk. But that wasn't new. No one else seemed to have a quirk that harmed the user like hers did, but no one else seemed to have a spirit in their mind as well. Maybe she was insane, or maybe it was just a side-effect.

She would let out a sigh, still being a bit lost herself. Everyone was so quiet around here, as if they were on edge. Maybe they were hiding something. Kasey didn't care.

But the more silence went on, the more she needed to know.

She wasn't in a place to really keep a student around. Perhaps it would count as fraternizing. Some people could get fired for such a thing. But a break was a break, and she would return when she was called to work, assuming they knew how to call her, and that she knew how to respond. She stuck her hands in her pockets as she faced with the girl. It was strange. Almost like she wanted to be talking with this particular student.

"Assistance?" Kasey had felt as if the principal should have been the one offering his hand, not the girl. Perhaps he was busy, and that was why she was there. "I should be the one asking you if you need help, I think?" she wasn't sure what to make of it. She was school staff now, they were supposed to help the kids right? That was how she saw it anyways.

Kasey rubbed her eyebrows, trying to make sense of it. "Man, I really thought this job would be easier. Maybe the old man was right." She mumbled to herself turning away from the girl. But even so, her thoughts were aloud, away from Seetsuna from drowning her out. "I don't even remember who the hell G told me to look for." She would begin to sweat out of nervousness. Everything was falling apart.

"Uh, well thank you Mikuku." she would say, thanking the girl, repeating her name wrong. There was too much going on in her head. She would turn away, even if just for a moment to collect herself.

" . . . Kasey you can't possibly be that fuckin' daft, can you?" the voice spoke to her,

"We're here to find his girlfriend, right?" Kasey was lost, terribly lost.

"No you moron, HIS DAUGHTER."

Oh.

Oh now she got it.

She was... scared? No. What did she do? Was Kas turning into one of the monsters? Her mind replayed it over and over. All of the knives and blades digging into her-

"No, uh, wait." she called, almost reaching out to the girl. she dug into her pocket, only to find a few of the objects she made before. She remembered. She took it out of her pocket, as if it filled a large void in her mind. She put it in her hand, and held it out to the girl in a closed fist. The object would be hidden unless the girl held out her hand. It would be then, that Kasey would drop it in her hands.

"I won't bother you, it's kinda weird for me to bother students anyways. You know more about the students than I do." She would hand it over, either by dropping it, or revealing it and handing it over to her. "I was supposed to give this to a girl named Miku." she would say it, completely forgetting the name the girl gave her moments ago. "I think, she'll know what to do with it." After she would hand it over, she would begin to walk the other direction. She was lost, and confused, but she needed to learn more about the school. Wandering alone, was a better idea than talking to the kids.

The figure she would hand over, would be made of bone. It was one of the several dozen she had made the night before. She had stayed up, cleaning all of them. It would be a small replication of a man, with spiked hair and a girl that hung her arms around her. It didn't mean anything to Kasey, it was just something she shaped. But the more she looked at it, the more she had observed her creation when she cleaned it at home, the more she understood. It wasn't just a random thing she made, it was G and his daughter. She didn't know what she looked like, but expected long hair, that was all the features they had. The faces were blank, not even so much as eyes.

She had made it because it was on her mind. It was the only thing on her mind. A family. She just wanted to be a part of something larger.

She wanted to be loved.

She took it, that made everything a little less complicated. Now she didn't need to ask students and stalk some little girl for G. Simple enough.

"I swear to god you can't be this stupid."

"Harassing and stalking students is stupid! At least now it's out of my hands! She'll find Miku."

"REN-... KASEY, YOU ARE MISSING THE POINT."

"NO, YOOOUUU!!" in her hea, was a battle she was determined to win. On her face was a blank expression of joy, or relief. Either way, the sweating had stopped, and she would be able to focus on other things. The girl asked if she had a message to give to Miku. Kasey hadn't planned that far. Maybe a few words was a good idea, could help the girl remember to give it to his daughter.

"Uh, I dunno." she said. She was honest at least. "I made it a few nights ago.
I think she should know, that maybe. . . " she tapped her finger on her jaw, thinking about how to word her thoughts. "People change." she smiled, remembering the words of the Master, Seki.

"Y'kno, a friend once told me. 'Never will a heart break even, never will it be a clean cut. Only in time will it heal as a whole, and even then it will still pain.'" She repeated it, just as she heard it. She could never forget that man's words. It was the only things she could remember, vividly. She shrugged it off. She would make her way into the other direction, turning her back to the girl. It was nice to know she didn't actually have to talk to his daughter. It would have been so strange and awkward trying to hide the fact that she offered to stalk her, for him. But alas, it was out of her hands. She would find her eventually.

"Well, have a nice day!" she would say. To her, everything was settled, all besides Setsuna's scolding.

But I mean, she did everything right... right?
