He would have trusted that learning to be adults they could have banded together and gotten to the location he texted to each of them. Perry prepping his plane that had been brought to the location he'd chose via a trailer attached to the back of his truck. He'd set up a few little obstacles and chose a place that was rather rich in three and thick forest at least as thick as he could find for training that he was allowed to use without silly human laws and rules getting in the way. His plane was cleaned, shined, and he was amping up the engine for this little test as best he could as well.
Each of the students arriving whenever they'd take the bus, train, or any other rides and then a small hike to the location would be treated to a small cooler he'd also dragged along with a few cool drinks in it for them to refresh. They'd also find Perry readying his plane. He'd be curious to test just how strong their flight or special mobilities would be in action. Karen and her wind abilities to take to the sky, Honey and her flight suit giving her a unexpected edge but a truly special one, An of course the web slinging skills of Kumoko. He had honestly been a little surprised anyone had answered his ad for this strange hero training thing... But he'd use it to submit for money and get to train and help some of the young heroes along the way so. It was really a win win as far as Perry's strong possum mind saw it.
The students would know they were getting close most likely cause they'd hear Perry's plane power up and shut down often. The sputter of his old style but strong engine sputtering and the propeller at the lead spinning ferociously in small bursts of speed and power. Even arming and making sure the toothpick canon was securely attached to the head of the plan. Using only dulled less edged ammunition of course in this training.
They would also see the rather silly settup of his vehicle being a truck with a trailer attached hauling his small plane and behind that another small trailer holding the cooler with drinks and a first aid box secured to its side. While he did come prepared as much as anyone would have expected it did seem a little unpractical how he did so.

Getting up bright and early, the first thing Karen did was check again the contents of the message that their teacher had sent about today's internship activity. At this point she had already read it enough times to know it by heart but it just gave her peace of mind to start off the day looking up what was on her agenda. Rather than a patrol or exercise in the city the venue that the genius possum chose for their meeting was actually out of town. It was a certain forest that you could take a bus to, though getting off at the nearest spot still meant they had to hike a bit to get to the exact location. Perhaps the journey there was part of the lesson. The second peculiar instruction that was included in the memo was for the interns to come together. This was hardly something that she found difficult. In fact she was quite glad this time that she knew who she would be working with beforehand. By some strange twist of fate she would find herself reunited with her sports festival teammates so she couldn't be more pleased. Having gotten the chance to work together before, she was sure they would make another good team up today. Grabbing a small bag with her necessities, she headed out of of her room after a quick breakfast. She had messaged her friends to meet up with her at the nearest bus stop first thing in the morning so that they could get to the place on time. Apologies to anyone of them who might not have been morning persons, but Karen wanted to make sure they got there early. That and she didn't want to test their teacher's patience. He was waiting for them to arrive after all. "Kumoko-kun, Honey-kun it's nice to see you both again~"She would greet them warmly and with familiarity once they had both showed up. After doing so she would invite them all to board the bus and be on their way. While the forest they were heading to was quite some distance away, they were blessed enough to have fairly clear roads. The trip itself ended up being smooth. After some time, they finally got off the bus and found themselves facing the woods. Their teacher was in there somewhere and they would have to find him. "Have any of you ever been hiking? Well I guess this isn't much of a serious hike. Perry-sensei shouldn't be too far away from here~"

Being a second-year student was taken very serious by Honey and thus she had tried to do her very best every morning. She had been out of bed, bright and early this time around and gone on a run with Jisatsu. That's what she did most mornings but she did ask him if that was even possible with apprenticeships and internships, it wasn't that the two of them were around the campus the whole day anymore and not even every morning. In the middle of their morning run, Honey got a text message and had to stop to be able to read it. She knew obviously that she had to go and meet up with Paw Might! That was so cool! But that also meant that she would have to be ready earlier than normal, she had already talked to Jisatsu about this but now there was a text message from Hoshi- no she could call her Karen, from Karen. Oh, she wanted to meet earlier and her little tail dropped a little. "I have to go, get ready for the internship." She hugged her friend goodbye and blushed a little, ah man, there goes their meeting time. But she quickly hurried back to her dorm to go and see Kumoko.
"Can't we leave a little later." She grumbled to her best friend, "I was just running like normal, won't we be too early now?" Honey might not know the saying bright and early, and that it would show a great positive vibe if you show up early. She had never been in charge of going somewhere and she had well never learned the saying. But she managed to clean up and wiggle herself in her hero outfit, hat and all. "I hope Paw Might will do something about flying because I had a class with Tsutsuji-sensei and I am definitely better at landing now." She wanted to point out something about the sports event until she realized Kumoko had been there, so she did not have to tell her friend. Hm, then she would tell Karen... wait Karen had been there too and suddenly her eyes started to shine, "Ohohoh the team is back together!" Quickly she filled her shoulder bag with energy bars and a bottle or two with water, notepads and pencils. Now it was good Kumoko was there so she wouldn't get lost in taking too long and would go to the bus stop.
The bus stop? Wait couldn't they just go with a taxi or something, oh... no wait that costs more money and she did not have that. "Nice to see you again, Karen-san." She made a short little bow and would fiddle with herself, not sure what to say and so on. The bus tour was maybe already the most fascinating thing for Honey. Sitting on her knees on the seat she looked outside, surely she had been around here now but she mostly stayed on campus and was picked up by her mother if they went somewhere, so this was new. "I have never hiked before, is it nice?" She asked when they were out of the bus and had to walk the last part towards their teacher. She was just going to see how this all would go.

Kumoko groaned as her alarm woke her up. As usual, the poor spider-headed girl had trouble sleeping last night. Right before an important day, too! Having been so excited for her internship, Kumoko went to bed early last night in the hope of getting a good night's sleep. But sadly, she could not even get that. How unfortunate! Still, as tempting as it was, there was no way she could simply go back to bed and sleep on such an important day! Lightly slapping herself awake, Kumoko got ready. After washing her face and then changing into her hero outfit, Kumoko went out to grab some breakfast. It seemed Honey woke up even earlier than she did, seeing as her roommate was out at the moment. So a solo breakfast it was! Once she finished her breakfast, Kumoko noticed her phone vibrate. Eh? As she went to check, she saw and read the text. A message from Karen, asking for her to meet up at the bus stop. Hmm? So early? Kumoko shrugged. I don't mind heading out now, I suppose. But of course, before she could head out, Kumoko needed to wait for Honey to get back. Though the wait was very short, as it was only a few minutes until Honey returned. "I wish." Kumoko smiled sadly. She shared her friend's sentiment. Would it really hurt to wait a bit? The spider girl wished she could, but it was not meant to be. "It's probably best we don't make Karen wait on us, though. Plus, 'early bird catching the worm' and all that." She then sighed as she muttered. "Even though I kinda wish I could go back to sleep." But as that was not an option, Kumoko had no choice but to force herself to stay wide-eyed and awake. She was many things, but a slacker was not one of them. On the bright side, talking about what surprises Paw Might had in store for the girls proved to be a nice distraction. Plus, it got Kumoko excited just thinking about it. "Ooh, that would be awesome! I sadly can't fly myself, but I've always wanted to be good at web swinging!" It was fun to think about, swinging using her own webs just like a comic book hero. Even if flying was not going to happen, Kumoko was still excited nonetheless. Whatever Paw Might had to teach, Kumoko was more than willing to learn. Before heading out with Honey, Kumoko grabbed the last of her essential stuff. Her utility belt with its pouches full of various gadgets, tools, and first-aid kit. She doubted that the slingshot would be needed, but brought it anyway just in case. Also, several small snacks to keep herself fueled. Because sure the spider-headed girl could snack on an insect or several, but she did not want to gross her friend out. Plus, Kumoko felt bad every time she killed a non-wasp insect. With all that done, it was time to go meet up with Karen. Kumoko had fun having her as a teammate back during the Sports Festival. Working with everyone in that team again would be great! Honey and Kumoko both arrived at the bus stop, where sure enough, Karen was there waiting for them. "Karen-san! It's good to see you again too! Hiii!" Kumoko smiled cheerfully as she waved. And then sighed in relief when the poor girl was about to slip and trip but managed to stop herself at the last second. Whew! No need to start the day with a disaster!Besides being a bit cramped inside the bus, the ride itself was rather uneventful. But with the bus dropping off the trio, it was time to continue on. Despite not exactly being an enthusiast when it came to exercising, Kumoko much preferred walking from here on out. At least her spider legs were not being cramped. Plus, the walk would help shave away the lingering bits of drowsiness Kumoko still had. Karen asked if either of the other two had gone hiking before. While Honey apparently had not, Kumoko immediately smiled. "Yup! Dad and I went hiking all the time in the past. It's really fun! Especially with all the insects I see around." Speaking of insects, Kumoko smiled as she saw a butterfly flutter past the group. Awwwww, so adorable! But now was not the time to get distracted by bugs! After all, they needed to meet up with Perry-sensei. But where was he? Kumoko was not too worried. As Karen had pointed out, he should not be too far. Plus, the spider-headed girl was positive that she would be able to find him thanks to her better-than-average hearing. It was only a matter of time before the trio found the pro-hero. And once that happened, then the internship could begin. To say that Kumoko was excited was an understatement. She was so looking forward to getting this started! WC 824

Perry had been preparing various things further in the forest to their set place of meeting. It wouldn't be too difficult to hike to him and find the location. The closer they got they'd smell a small fire and even find a campsite when they got to said location after the hike he hoped would get them in good mind and body for this training. The small campsite they would eventually find would appear like that of someone that survived and was well in the country. However just... very small to scale compared to what a human would have had in campsite.
Perry during this time while the girls could enjoy their walk and hike. Hopefully taking the time to get get alone and prepare themselves. He had two stages planned for this training and thought being out in the woods and wilds for it would be a bit more natural and allow them to use their powers freely in a more natural setting rather then a cushy training center. New environments were always good to help sharpen peoples abilities as well by adding new risks and stipulations to it all.
He was setting up various targets and little checkpoints. Small targets that could be reset after being hit and small checkpoints that had flags that could be removed and reset as well rather easily. Hopefully these ideas would get them in training but also give him a idea for the second more harder part of the test. He was ready to have some fun this day that was for sure. One small detail they would also notice on top of seeing the occasional flag in a tree or small target as they hiked. Would also be when they found the campsite would be a tiny small runway cut into the grass of the campsite a night or two prior. Perry's Red Baron Jr. as well turned off and resting there. Perry would be cooking hot dogs over his small fire. Enough for all of them to have one including himself sitting on a cooler near it. Arguable the fire and cooler seeming out of place as well given the rest of the campsite being rather small and these things normal sized.

"Wheeee!" Honey ran around up the hill that Karen indicated for their little hike, she had lots of energy and she could not have finished her morning run with Jisatsu, so this was a substitute for it. She had taken Kumoko's advice of the early bird catches the worm almost a little bit too literal but she was now running up the path in front of her fellow classmates because she needed to get rid of her energy after sitting still for so long in the bus. The hike indeed did not take too long and before she could see Paw Might, she stopped and heaved her little nose and sniffed. "I smell hm..." Fire? But the fire was bad in a forest! What if the wind would catch the trees, who was making a fire! She now looked more around and saw a flag and targets and quickly hurried on in a rapid pace before the others and then the smell of fire became stronger and she looked at the fire there and immediately noticed their teacher. "Goodmorning Paw Might-sensei!" She made a little bow, Hachi-sensei had said to use the alias of heroes especially outside of school so that is what she did now.
She looked around at the camping spot and oh that truck was so cool and the way Perry was making the hot dogs, she just dropped herself on the grass without much care to look at the fire and although she did not need to heat up, it was nicely warm close to the fire and she extended her hand and feet to it and looked up to see Karen and Kumoko, who she basically left behind in her enthusiasm come as well. Oops. She should think more about that when it came to real teamwork, for sure. She shouldn't leave her best friend behind!

"H-hey, wait up!"
Kumoko could not blame Honey for running ahead. Her excitement was very much understandable. However, Kumoko was not as fast as her best friend, nor did she have as much stamina. The spider-headed girl wished that she did not tire out so easily. Perhaps someday she could try to fix that. But for now, all she could do was try to not get left behind. At least Karen would be able to keep up, so no need to worry about her.
Thankfully, Kumoko was able to at least not lose sight of Honey. Sighing in relief upon seeing the squirrel girl stop for a moment, Kumoko took the opportunity to try and catch her breath. Do I really get worn out this easily? I do need to somehow try and fix this! She then heard Honey mention smelling something. Sadly, the spider girl's enhanced senses only applied to her hearing, as well as her sight when she wore her goggles. Kumoko's smelling was actually worse than that of most people.
But while Kumoko could not smell the smoke, she would be able to hear the crackling of the flames of the campfire once she was close enough. That along with the close by targets and flags meant that the trio had to be really close now. Kumoko was curious about what those were about. Target practice? An obstacle course? Something else? Unfortunately, Honey began to run off again, so there went any chance of being able to catch up. As Kumoko got closer to the camp site, even she with her awful sense of smell would finally catch a whiff of smoke. Excited, the spider girl sprinted on, eager to finally find Perry-sensei.
"EEEEP!!" In her excitement, Kumoko moved a bit too fast and was unable to slow herself in time. Which of course resulted in the girl losing her balance and tripping on the floor right in front of Perry and Honey. At least she did not crash into either of them. That would have certainly made for a terrible first impression. "Oww. I'm okay!" Hastily getting back up and making sure there were no bruises, Kumoko then bowed to the possum. "Good morning, Paw Might-sensei!"
Clumsiness aside, Kumoko was excited to finally be here. She looked forward to whatever the possum hero had in store for them. She also looked forward to having a hot dog, assuming the girls could get some. They certainly smelled great, even to the girl with terrible sense of smell.

It seemed she didn't have to worry much after all. Honey's energy was a given. Was there any time of the day when the squirrel girl wasn't so hyper? Karen chuckled. A short hike in the woods would help with some of that excess. Kumoko wasn't doing too bad as well. The spider girl didn't trip yet this time anyway. As for Karen herself, she was content with keeping up pace with the rest while taking in the scenery. If today's activities were anythng like Perry's history tests, then she was sure they were in a for an adequate challenge. As they were moving along, Honey was the first to notice that something was unusual. Before long Karen smelled it too. But rather than be a cause for alarm it made more sense for her to assume it was someone grilling or cooking. True enough what came into view as the trio approached was a small campsite. Their teacher could be found next to the previously mention campfire with some hotdogs. How thoughtful of him to prepare what she assumed was breakfast before they began their day's work. She was the last to approach the site herself as her two friends had run off ahead in their excitement. Well it was more like Honey ran off ahead amd Kumoko somehow felt it would be appropriate to give chase. It didn't end well. Karen chuckled again. If nothing else, being around these two was always entertaining. Keeping her steady walking pace, she eventually caught up to them, smiling as she gave her own greeting. "Good morning sensei~ I must say that smells wonderful."She gave a quick look around the small campsite. It certainly didn't look like something that was prepared just this morning. That made her really appreciate the work that their teacher and senior hero was putting in to make this experience relevant and useful to them. She could sort of imagine what they would do with the current setup but she hold all assumptions until Perry gave instructions.

He was chomping on a small cooked hotdog over the flame when they wondered up. Monching it down rather quickly and standing up brushing himself off to give a kind wave and large toothy grin his species was known for in greeting when they arrived. Pleased to see them having found their way well enough as well. Waving them all over giving them that scruffy smile and bright eyes they may have been used to from their teacher when he wasn't throwing several assignments at them at a time. "Welcome welcome, You arrived right one time! I got some weenies cooking on the fire on those metal pointy things. Some buns in my cooler and other stuff. Grab you one if you want one and we can get started after a quick snack. Some water is in there too if you would like some after the hike." Quickly trying to make them feel welcomed and offering treats and hydration. The hike was enough to get them a bit warmed up as well. He'd allow them to enjoy themselves briefly before getting started further. Explaining to them as they ate if they chose too indulge.
"When you're ready we can get started. The first stuff I have planned will be rather straight forward but out here in the forest will make it a bit more challenging then the training rooms back at the school... I'm curious if any of you noticed the occasional odd target here and there or flags at a spot or two along your path?" Curious if they'd been observant along the way or not. Or if any of them had any likely ideas of what he might have planned for them when all things were about to get started and put into motions when they were hydrated and ready for the proper explanation and beginning.

She was the one that kept on walking very quickly, she had been jumping and running forward, especially when she smelled smoke or fire and something else and she was the first to arrive and take in the scene of the little car. Paw Might at the fireplace on a cooler and so on. It was an interesting view and Honey wondered what today would bring in all the stuff that she wanted to learn and gain from this. It was definitely an interesting perspective to think about, but what to make of it. She would smile at Paw Might and came a little closer to listen to him as the others had shown up as well, so up in her own thoughts she did not even listen or notice Kumoko fall. She might have gotten a little too used to it, but she cared a lot about Kumoko.
She would sit on her little legs on the grass and thanked for the idea of the hot dog but wasn't sure if she should take it although the trip had lowered a little of her energy and it was good to get on full fuel. So she took one but thanked for the water as she had her own. She took a sip of that and would take a little hot dog later. She nodded when he asked about the targets, she had seen them and she took another bite of her hotdog and would just wait for more information, she had seen the little plane and truck so were they going to get flight classes because that would be great and it would make sense that the targets were up there and it would also make sense that it was more difficult in the forest than in the training facilities, it was something, "Tell us more!" She said in enthusiasm.

Ooh, yay! Kumoko smiled cheerfully. The thought of actually being allowed to eat a bit before getting started sounded good to the spider-headed girl. "Thank you, sensei!" After a polite bow, Kumoko helped herself to a hot dog and some water. Yummy! After that hike, it felt good to be able to just chill and relax for a bit before the real fun got started.
As she ate, Kumoko listened to the possum hero talk. She waited until she was completely finished before speaking up. "Yes! I was curious about all those flags and targets. I'm guessing they'll hold some kind of purpose for whatever you have planned today for us, sensei." So many ideas and possibilities on just what exactly they could be used for, but Kumoko would not mention any of the ideas she had in mind aloud. Most of her guesses would probably be wrong, and the hero would probably explain them anyway.
But regardless of whatever was in store for the girls, Kumoko looked forward to it. It was why she made it a point to finish eating and drinking very quickly. She could not wait to get started. Whatever Paw Might-sensei has planned, I'll do my very best! And with Honey and Karen to work with, I'm sure it'll all be fine!

Perry had always struck Karen as someone who was always well-prepared. And for good reason. Even with his special status, being a small possum in their world likely came with challenges she couldn't imagine herself. So seeing him there giving them a warm welcome, offering snacks and asking about their little hike felt reassuring. It meant things were going well and everything they needed for today's activities were set up without issue. She would partake in the snacks and refreshments offered as she had no reason to decline. It wasn't too long ago that she had eaten but with all the workout they'd be getting, it wasn't a bad idea to fill up her tank a bit more. Besides it had been a while since she last had grilled hotdogs. Smelling them while they were approaching the campsite made them all the more enticing when they finally arrived. She ate quickly and neatly while listening to their teacher talk about the various targets and flags around the site. She took a sip of water before answering. "Yes we noticed. It looks like there's an entire course set up all around us. We'll be going through them all I assume?"She would wait for the explanation like the others. It could be straightforward or there could be a twist. There was probably a good reason they were doing it in the forest too.

He munched the last of his hotdog as a few crumbs of the tasty bun fell to the ground. Sometimes crumbs tended to fall given his wide mouth his species had. But his stomach was sated with the tasty treat and the students were able to enjoy theirs as well as they got started as it was time to explain the first task of two planned for the evening. Perry excited as well for them to get into nature and get started. The unknown fun edge of being in the actual world and nature rather then a cushy training center like most of their training had taken place in back at UA. From what he understood interns and apprentices needed real life experience so where better to get such experience then out in real life and nature?
"Right right, with the snackage out of the way my good joeys I can get to explaining the first part of the fun I have planned for you today. An boy is it nice to be out in nature again!" He'd say taking in a heavy sniff of the fresh air. Breathing in deeply and enjoying the fresh scent of nature. Even as civilized so to speak as he had become thanks to his evolution quirk there was still something about the call of nature that felt home like to him and allowed him to relax calmly. He likely to his lovely students appeared a bit more relaxed compared to normally in history class. His shoulders a bit more relaxed and his possum grin a bit more smile like and kind. Of course maybe that was just cause he just had a tasty hotdog given their teacher was rather fond of snacks. His small animal bit of pudge a sign of that as well.
"The flags you keen eye'd joeys saw on the path was a course I have set up." He'd say producing a crudely drawn map and placing it between them as he got comfy where he say and allowing them to gather around to look closer upon it. A simple set path to give them a idea of a course to run was put in place. The crude bit of how it was drawn was to make sure they'd have to rely allot on instincts as well and their own ingenuity to do as best a result as they could get. Perhaps even to simulate when having to do a goal with very little intel.
"When you are all ready I'm going to time you while you try to do these set of courses using your own forms of flight or aerial like skills. You'll lift off from hear and follow this course as best you can. An your timer will and score will end when you touch the ground." Implying the dirt not higher elevation or the trees so they had some leeway given each of them used these skills differently in style and skill. "You're going to try to grab each flag you find as well as hit each target set. The more you get the more points I'll be giving you and the timer working with it too. There is 30 targets in all. If you land on the ground however the course will cease for you and you'll lose 10 points off the top and not get a completion reward as well." He'd say briefly explaining some of the rules and idea of it all curious to see how they'd do on filling in blanks themselves as well. Perry seeming to enjoy the idea of it all as well with a bit of pride in his possum voice. "I'll be following above in my plane to keep score and watch. If you complete the course and in under 3 minutes you'll get a extra fifteen points. All of you understand?" Wanting to see if they had any comments or questions and understood as he walked to his plane tuning it up briefly as well as they'd continue the explanation and conversation. Things were gonna get fun pretty soon after all.

As she was excited she would wait for Perry to talk more but as he was munching on his hot dog and so on, she decided to follow, albeit nibbling to not have her mouth stuffed in case some random question was shot her way. Nope, she was going to do this carefully. But as he was eating she was trying to take bigger bites but not too quickly, she might choke on it in her own enthusiasm. She looked up when he started talking and quickly put the last piece of the hot dog in her mouth and munched for a bit before swallowing and listening. She nodded, it was nice to be outside, it gave a little more space, she was happy to consider that with most of her training or internships as Hachi had done so as well!
As he continued, she noticed it was a course, as Karen had said! She quickly got up to see the map he put down and she tilted her head to the right to see, it was a simple map but it served its purpose so to say. She listened and tried to count on her fingers the rules he said, they needed to get all flags and there were thirty of them, those were a lot and hitting the ground would give a penalty but a bonus in the timing. She wasn't as fast as Karen for sure, she had seen her fly before and although she had gotten better, she was still more hovering then really flying, she needed to upgrade her suit for sure. She munched on her lip, chewing it softly and decided that she would just use this as a training instead of focusing too much on the points. She actually did not like the competition part but she was sure she was the only one so she said nothing and just held her tail as she watched Perry with his plane. Even when she thought about just seeing it as a training and not focusing on points, she was calculating that if she managed to get all targets, fall and yet make it in three minutes that the points would not be that damaging right? She shook her head mildly and pinned her hair behind her hat so the first pieces wouldn't get in her face. Okay, as she said before: focus on just getting to the finish, that was goal one for now. However, she did not say anything at all and looked from one to another if they were goint to say something.

Now it was time! Kumoko eagerly paid attention to every word that Paw Might said. So all those flags the trio had seen on their way here were indeed for a course that the possum hero had set up for them. The spider girl paid attention to the rules of the trial. So the girls just needed to follow the course, grab the flags and hit the targets, and try to clear this within a certain time limit for maximum points, all while trying to not touch the ground. The points did not really matter to Kumoko. She was not very competitive, after all. Still, she would try her best to do relatively well. I just gotta do my best, is all.
There was one major point of concern for the spider-headed girl. Staying airborne the whole time was by no means an easy feat, though Kumoko was reasonably sure that she would do well to stick to the trees and not fall down. However, her main worry was her notorious clumsiness. What if she slipped and fell down? What if she miscalculated where and when to fire her web strings? So much could go wrong. Still, Kumoko did her best to keep those negative thoughts out of her head.
It's just the nerves talking. I can't stress too much about what ifs. I'll do fine. I can do this!
Before starting, Kumoko smiled as she looked to Honey and Karen. "This should be a breeze, right? I know you two will ace this. After all, you two are really skilled and talented. You got this!" Now if only Kumoko could believe that those words applied to her too. Not that she would say anything about the matter out loud. Anyway, the spider girl was looking forward to giving this course her best shot. Once Paw Might gave the word, Kumoko would do her best to ignore her nervousness and take on this course.
As soon as it was time to begin, Kumoko would waste no time in launching herself in the air, using her webs to swing from tree to tree without hitting the ground. Web swinging was actually pretty fun. Definitely a lot easier when the spider girl did not have to only fire webs from her mouth. She was so glad that she had her gauntlets and tubes that took the silk from the spinneret on the back of her head (a normally cumbersome and near-useless place to fire silk from) to her palms (a far more convenient location to fire webs from).
"WOOOOOHOOOOO!!"
Kumoko felt so free while in midair. She felt her worries melting away. What was there to worry about? She was in her element! She had practiced web swinging a lot. She knew what to do. She knew how to do it. It was all about having faith in her spider instincts, believing in her abilities, spider senses, and natural agility. Her agility was more than enough to let her clear this course. She may not be able to actually fly, but with how well she could move, Kumoko could easily make it look like she was actually achieving flight.
One by one, the spider girl picked up flag after flag, got target after target, being careful not to swing too fast to miss a single one. That was Kumoko's plan for the whole thing. Move around fast, but slow down just enough to clear those twists and turns without crashing into anything. It was by no means a flawless strategy. There were several close calls, and Kumoko nearly crashed into a tree more than once. Still, Paw Might would be able to see that the spider girl had not yet touched the ground even once. For a first attempt, this truly was a spectacular performance...
...Right up until the very end, when Kumoko got the last target down. In her excitement in having completed the course, the poor girl crashed straight into a tree, faceplanting onto the trunk and sliding down. "Owwww." Thankfully, the poor girl managed to grab onto the tree before she fell off completely. "I'm okay!" She may have fumbled on the end there, but Kumoko had done it! All 30 targets cleared!
But how did she do? Was Kumoko able to clear the course in less than three minutes? The girl was unsure of what time she got, so she looked at the pro hero, hoping that he would let her know her results. Regardless of her score, Kumoko was pretty proud of herself. Not too shabby! She looked forward to seeing how Karen and Honey would do. No doubt they would do just fine.
