The sky itself sounded like it was rumbling mid exercise as a plane soared way too close to the mountain. Long before it hit, it was obvious to the 1-C teacher that it was going to crash. Nothing he could do about it unfortunately, at least not in terms of stopping it from crashing! Part of the plane had broken off some ways away, crashing heavily into the dirt and snow, while the nose of the plane collided straight into a higher part of the mountain. The ground underneath their feet shook from the impact, snow shifting and falling from its otherwise undisturbed location. It was obvious that there was going to be more trouble than just the passengers, the location itself was no longer safe! And what of the students? Were any of them in immediate danger because of this crash?
The teacher used his quirk to quickly make a dirt tower under his feet, lifting him high above the tree line so that he could see everything relatively clearly around him. What he saw and heard though was absolute mayhem... there were people screaming and crying, jumpers that had leaped out of the plane moments prior to the crash that were now stranded in the snow, unprepared for the weather and some even trapped under stray pieces of rubble... he grit his teeth as he continued to scan the area... animals were running wildly, scared and angry, snow sliding down the mountain at an alarming rate mixed in with large boulders freed from the side of the mountain, and students scattered everywhere, stunned and in awe of the situation at hand.
"Crap..." He growled to himself, spotting two students that were the closest to him... that earlier troublemaker Shoko, and another girl he didn't immediately recognize. Didn't matter, he had to take what he got. He leaped off of his stone tower, creating smaller towers as he made his way back to the ground, running full tilt towards the girls.
"You, Shoko! Let's go you're with me! I'll handle the Avalanche and rock slide, you need to get the passengers away from the plane! Get them back towards the starting point so they can warm up on the bus! and MOVE FAST" He ordered them as he promptly slapped a bracelet in either of their hands. The bracelet had a small circular device on it that projected Itsuki's voice as he spoke to the girls, running to the cockpit of the plane. Itsuki would use his quirk once more to create a tower, lifting him up so he could jump onto the broken nose of the plane. He'd then extend both of his hands towards the mountain and shift the ground underneath the snow, lifting it and creating a massive curved wall that would catch and redirect the snow and falling rocks away from the plane. Although, this wall was massive, and even if he was a pro hero, this was taxing as all hell
Meanwhile, screams could be heard as passengers jumped from the crashing plane, landing on the freezing ground below. two seemed to land with little no no injuries, one broke their leg on impact, and a fourth broke both arms as he landed and attempted to catch themselves. None of them were dressed for the cold weather, so it wouldn't be long before even the uninjured passengers would feel the effect of the cold.
Inside the cockpit, one pilot was knocked unconscious from the crash, blood pouring from where he hit his head. The copilot had been thrown forward and through the winshield of the plane, lying unconscious just behind Itsuki who had to focus on diverting the avalanche before he could care for the man.

Of the many first year students participating in this climb of mount Fuji, it could be said that Shouko was the most lackadaisical of all. Obstacles? Rather than waiting for them, she had gone out of her way to find them! Or rather, to follow other people into them, to see what they could do! Certainly, her own talent was on display, but... Just from the laid back manner with which she chattered to her partner, it could be seen that she didn't take the trip especially seriously. After all, the teachers were there! And no matter what happened, as long as it was a school sanctioned trip, there was no way they would go too far! She concluded, conveniently forgetting the injury statistics from the sports festival, and the existence of Geist and Jaeger.
"Nyahaha, isn't this fun? I told you it would be worth coming along!" Shouko teased the girl next to her- Her best friend and sometimes victim, Mia Fischer. The German transfer student had come under Shouko's wing on the day she transferred into their class. Much to the pity of those around them. But if she noticed the silent prayers sent in her direction, she didn't seem to have connected them to Shouko- And Shouko certainly hadn't noticed that much! Mia probably only came along on the trip because Shouko was there- A fact that the twintailed brunette wouldn't notice if she was told it.
But no matter how little attention she was paying to the trail, there was no way she could miss this! The low rumbling noise, the shadow which crossed overhead... And the resulting explosive crash, smoke pouring into the air. It was like the end of the world! Without a second thought, the girl threw herself over her friend. Hesitation? None at all, she covered the smaller girl's body with her own immediately, protecting her from falling debris. It would make a stark contrast to her earlier attitude, in which she had attempted to use the school trip as a chance to hunt for Tsuchinoko... Compared to the Shouko who hiked up the mountain, this Shouko actually looked like she might be able to get a hero license after all... "Don't worry, Mianon, I'm here!" She reassured the girl who was trapped beneath her.
Well, fortunately, no debris landed on them, making the gesture more symbolic than important! As Shouko rose back to her feet, she instinctively fell into her primary combat stance- Legs placed broadly, arms raised slightly in front, as she looked around and asked- "What was that!? Is everyone okay?" She steadily rotated around, gauging the situation with eyes trained through years of watching high-speed fight sequences! But it didn't take a battle analyst's eyes to see what had happened- The airplane perched unsteadily atop the mountain was kinda a dead giveaway. "... I don't think this was a part of the plan..." She murmured. "But... Can this timing really be a coincidence?"
She seriously doubted the school had crashed an airplane full of passengers in the name of a first year outing- The cost to benefit ratio of doing that was absolutely ridiculous! And the fact that it had passengers was clear- Many of them were leaping from the emergency exit, and into a disaster zone... But even so, for it to happen right now? There was no way! Was it... A villain attack? Terrorists? Whatever it was, it was sure to be nothing good! While they had fortunately not been squished beneath the falling plane, it was still a disaster! The entire top of the mountain seemed to be falling towards them! "Avalanche!" Shouko called out a warning to her classmates, in case any of them were still befuddled by the crash.
But before even worrying about the avalanche, were the rocks! Huge chunks of boulder, rolling down the slope... And wild animals in their wake. Shouko had joked about wanting to try fighting a bear while she was here, but that really had just been a joke! Her feet firm, her arms would suddenly erupt in a stone encasement- But even so, the momentum of the incoming boulders was not something she could just deal with! With great effort, she managed to turn the first away, so that it would not hit her or those behind her, but two grooves in the dirt showed just how far back she was pushed in the process... And even larger chunks were still on their way!
Fortunately, teachers were a thing! Pillars of earth rose as Shockwave approached- A teacher who probably had a bad impression of Shouko, but such things were irrelevant! "Got it, sensei!" Shouko would acknowledge in a heartbeat- While she may act silly, she seriously did pay the appropriate respect to her upperclassmen and elders! She promised! "Come on, Mianon!" She called out to her friend, breaking out in a run! As expected of a pro, Shockwave had swiftly made a dam to stop the avalanche- But as a battle analyst, Shouko knew better than anyone how taxing such a display was- They couldn't waste any time! Unfortunately, while Shouko was by no means a slow person... The snowdrifts were her arch nemesis, as her immense weight caused the opposite effect of a pair of snowshoes! Rather, it could be called impressive that her speed was as high as it was, waist deep in snow drifts...
Speaking of poorly dressed for the weather, Shouko could be considered worse dressed than any passenger! Her tunic, newly dyed in UA's colors, was still a short skirt and sleeveless... Nor was she wearing a coat over it. But she did not seem to notice the freezing snow on her thighs, nor had it seemed to bother her the entire trip... Anyways, as she reached the first victim, she knew there was a problem. Namely, that she could see his femur... "Eto... Mianon, I don't suppose you know how to set a broken bone..." She said, admitting that healing was not her area of expertise! If Mia didn't know either, then there was a big trouble! They wouldn't be able to do any field first aid... And if the first victim they saw already had a broken bone, did anything need to be said for the others? They needed to get these people to the bus, asap!

Mia giggled, happy to follow her friend anywhere knowing full well that something interesting would happen. Shouko was like a magnet for all things curious and interesting, including her own interest naturally. Besides, there was something rather enjoyable about being a side character in the adventures of Shouko. Mia would never think of herself as the main character in this particular story due to her personality, but Shouko fit the bill quite well. One needed to be fearless, brave and adventurous; like trying to find something mythical even if it's impossible and irritated the teachers. She would have smiled at that most recent memory, something she wasn't soon to forget as she followed along. There's something rather mesmerizing about disaster. Sometimes you can't help but stare, transfixed by the impossibility of the situation. Cars belong between the lanes, but occasionally they collide, planes belong in the air but sometimes they fall from the sky. Thus it was that Mia found herself just watching as the plane swiftly moved overhead. Then she was tackled."Oof!" She looked up to figure out why she was suddenly horizontal when she was completely sure she had been vertical just a moment ago. Oh. Shouko covered me with her body to protect me... It took a few moments like a delayed fuse before Mia's face flushed with embarrassment. There was a little bit due to the danger of the situation and the fact that she was staring instead of ducking and covering, but the lion share was something else entirely. Still, either out paralysis or shock she waited until Shouko stood up before she attempted to get up off the ground. Her friend brought up an interesting point though. Crashing a plane like that, seemed a bit excessive but the timing was uncanny. Maybe there was a few ballistic dummies inside if it was intentional, and the pilot got out alright? Then she saw the passengers jumping out of the plane. She gasped, covering her mouth for a moment to prevent herself from screaming. There were real people in that plane, and they were dropping to the ground from that height. Some were no doubt injuring themselves greatly. As if this was not punishment enough, an avalanche was beginning to form from the impact of the plane. They would have to act fast to help anyone, but what could they possibly do against the impossible wrath of nature. As if to punctuate this fact some boulders strayed into their direction only to be redirected and dodged appropriately. Mia took one on for herself, digging her feet into the ground and using her quirk to liquefy the rock and stone slowing it's momentum until it stopped entirely. Thankfully a teacher came to rescue them, or rather command them as well. Clearly a pro hero was quite something to behold. Mia felt relieved as she seen the avalanche begin to be stopped by the giant rock wall.Yet it seemed the teacher had expectations of the two friends as well. The man's commanding voice had a startling impression on the girl as she fell back on old habits and replied in German before switching back to Japanese. "Jawohl! oh, um, Yes Sir!" She was not overly fond of being referred to as 'you' but she wasn't about to complain given the direness of the situation. And given that there was now a bracelet of sorts in her hands that she quickly attached to her wrist, there was no doubting who he had meant. "Ah! Coming!" She followed her friend without an ounce of hesitation, chasing after her as swiftly as she could given the snow drifts heights. It's true that she could have swam ahead of her friend and got there first but she wanted to conserve her energy for when they got there if it was needed. When they reached the first victim her heart sunk into the white abyss. There was a bone sticking out where there definitely shouldn't be a bone sticking out and more than a little red coloring to the snow that surrounded the leg. So much of it, how could such a thing possibly be real? She shook her head and swiftly groped about for her composure to try and bring her brain out of shock and back to being useful. "I um, I don't know to be honest. All we can do is immobilize the bone and get them to proper medical attention." A cursory examination of her inventory proved that she didn't exactly have any means to create a proper splint so that would be her first priority. Given their position, trees were pretty close so she swiftly moved over to one and tore a chunk out of it with her teeth. While normally quite paranoid about people finding about her dental issues, this was an emergency and was well worth the splinters she was going to have to pick out of her gums later. She returned swiftly with her prize and began to go to work with Shouko to make the splint. All the while she talked to the patient, more to keep herself calm if she was being entirely honest, but to let them know what she was doing. "We're just going to make a splint so your bone doesn't move and make the break any worse than it already is. We have a bus nearby that we can bring you to so that you can warm up." She had expended a bit of her first aid kit to make the splint, but at least it was something. She surveyed the snowdrifts for a moment, and came up with a snap decision. It may not be the best decision, but given what they were facing, it was life or limb. "Shouko, I'll take him back with me by swimming, I'll come back as soon as I can." With that addressed she went about explaining her method to her soon to be passenger. The importance of holding on for dear life with his arms, the importance of staying close to her body, making sure he could hold his breath for the required amount of time; all were important subjects. With her passenger equipped, she dove under the ground and made for the bus as fast as she could.

A groan would escape the Pro Heroes lips as he held his hands up, essentially holding the earthen wall above him and diverting the flow of the falling stones and snow. While he could have just left the wall there, it wouldn't withstand the beating the mountain had to give it. It was thanks to his ability of being able to change the consistency of the Earth that he was able to hold it up at all, let alone for so long. He felt the strain in his arms already, feeling himself sliding back simply from the amount of pressure he was holding up.
Still, he had to hold strong, the girls below him had to get these civilians to safety and by his count so far they had rescued... 1. 1 person!? Oh boy he was going to have to think of something and fast. His eyes shifted quickly back to the girls, then to the com link on his own wrist.
"Good job you two, but we're going to have to pick up the pace a little bit... Shouko, think you can maybe make a sled out of the planes hull or some of the debris? It might make mobility easier for you if you can get multiple civilians on one. uhm, Mia wasn't it? good job. When you make your way back, can you ferry those on that sled? I'm not sure I"ll be able to hold this for too long, so I'm counting on the both of you!" Itsuki called into the communications link. They didn't need to follow his plan, but with his limited vantage point it's about all he could think of. Shouko seemed to be having a hard time wading through the snow, while mia cut through it like a fish coursing through water.
Meanwhile, the man with the broken leg was crying out loudly in pain, his hands over his eyes as if applying pressure to his head would stop the pain of the bone now exposed to the freezing elements. his leg remained immobile as his upper body writhed in pain. Even as the two girls tried to splint his injury, he was just barely aware of what they were saying, or doing for that matter! All he could do was panic, his eyes wide with fear as he looked from one girl to another, a haze clouding both his vision and judgement. He couldn't even muster any words to say, only panicked babble as he nodded towards Mia when she carefully told him what she was going to do.
It was comforting to have someone so calm, an energy he could feed off of so to speak to calm himself down... too bad it did nothing for the pain. He would yelp out in pain as the splint was applied, but then clung to the girl as she had instructed him too. The instructions were strange, but he did as he was told, holding his breath when he needed too as he was pulled away to safety. Weird how none of this seemed to agitate his injury? He didn't understand it, but he didn't need too.
As Mia rescued the first man, there were still 3 others that Mia could immediately see, all screaming in a panic. The first man seemed to be the most injured out of the group of them, but there was still no shortage of minor injuries and panic in these victims. Two women, one adult and one teenager about their age, and a man closer to the plane itself.
From inside the plane, you could faintly see people running around inside now that it had halted. The victims that could stand were helping each other get off of the plane, one by one dropping more people down to the ground below. Although, even these more mobile victims had tears in their eyes...

Fortunately for the unfortunate victims of the plane crash, Mianon was way better at this stuff than Shouko was! "Nice work, Mianon! Go, go go!" She cheered as the other girl swiftly solved the problem at hand, and even took on the task of transportation! She watched the other girl vanish under the snow with her passenger, mildly envious... Of which one, again? As usual, Mianon's quirk was super cool! But this was no time to admite it! As the last hint of tail vanished beneath the earth, Shouko began trudging through the snow towards the next victim! If there was any consolation, it was that she was getting the hang of the deep snow! Along the way, she took a small lesson from her friend- Grabbing any sturdy and straight low hanging branches she could break off, in order to make more splints! But as she approached the next victim, a buzzing sound came through her communicator.
Pick up the pace? She looked up the teacher out of habit- And it was clear to see that he wasn't exaggerating! In fact, pick up the pace was definitely an understatement! She could already see him slipping backwards... Right! But how could she move even faster than this... She'd have to get out of the snow! But there wasn't an easy way to do that! She briefly considered running through the trees like some sort of anime character but... Tree branches wouldn't be able to hold her weight! How frustrating! She hoped Mianon would get back soon... Nyeh, but they didn't have time to waste waiting! Fortunately, she didn't have to waste time thinking!
"Sensei, good idea!" SHouko declared- Though she did not turn on her communicator, as she didn't want to distract him. She was a dangerously optimistic individual, but even she didn't want to test herself against an avalanche! Okay, well, at least not right now. She swiftly changed course towards the nearest such fragment, a wide metal panel which had come free from the side of the plane. With a heavy smack, the girl hit the side of the panel, flipping it over so that the curved side was downwards... It wouldn't be the prettiest ride, but it would do! Still, it was a little bit large to pass between the gaps in the trees... Rather than thinking too much about that, the brunette would simply grab the edges and pull together, folding it into a V-shaped canoe! Nodding at her handiwork, and grabbing it with surprisingly little effort, she hurled herself towards the nearest patch of victims. She couldn't look behind her to see if Mia had returned yet, so she activated the communicator. "Mianon, I've got the sled! Get everyone you can to it- We don't have enough time to keep making individual trips, after all! Eto... I've got some splints ready, so I'll go get that guy!" She didn't consider that Mia couldn't see who she was pointing towards, but it would be fairly obvious anyways. One of the three remaining survivors was clearly more injured than the other two. Mianon was faster, so she should be able to get those two while Shouko dealt with the one!
Movement caught the corner of her eye. More people dropping out of the plane... As she forced her way towards the injured man, she was also keeping both eyes out on those ones... Was there another team that could rescue them nearby? If not, she was going to have to get to them as soon as these three were on board... Hang in there, Itsuki-sensei! Her heart cried out as she finally reached the man and could see just how bad his situation was. Both arms lay at unnatural angles, sickening even to the eyes of the girl who reveled in combat. "Mister, are you still with us? This is gonna hurt, but hang in there!" Unlike Mia's soothing speech, Shouko's chipper voice sounded as if absolutely nothing was wrong! Certainly, she did not give the impression of doing this for the first time as she pressed a small branch against the arm... Until she paused and started looking around. She'd forgotten something to bind it with!
The solution was surprisingly easy. With one hand holding the branch and arm in place, her other reached for the cloth sash wrapped around her waist- It was the thing keeping her clothes on, but there was no time for that now! With a quick snap of her wrist, the whole cloth came off... And grabbing a portion of it with her teeth, she swiftly ripped off a length. Was it a good splint? Even a decent one? Would it hold until they found Nimue-sensei for real treatment? It didn't matter, she tied it as Mia had done anyways, even as her tunic slid off of her shoulders to reveal what lay beneath... The hero costume she had designed herself, Mithra-hime's Battle Dress! It was a little bit scuffed and cracked, evidence of her relatively frequent involvement with the teacher's obstacles in the earlier part of the trip... But still more than recognizable!
With the man's arms bound tight, she lifted him up to place on the makeshift sled... And noticed something. "Cold! So cold! Oh no!" She realized that the man... And probably everyone else on the plane... was dressed for the cabin temperature, not for chilly mountain air! Grrr, how... Okay, this problem was slightly easier to solve, and could kill two birds with one stone! After placing the man on the sled, she covered him with the fallen tunic- Which unwrapped, looked more like a thick blanket, and still held some of the warmth from her body heat! And by securing the corners with the last few bits of her sash, then it would hold him onto the vessel even as she carried it around! "Sorry, I don't have enough time to keep this a smooth ride... Hang in there!" She apologized... Was he even conscious to hear her? As she grabbed the back of the sled and began to push it towards Mianon and the other two!

Mia safely stowed the man in the warm bus, pleased with the start of the rescue. Sure she was a little tired but that didn't matter, being tired could wait until the job was done. With a dive she swiftly vanished under the snow-scape again swimming back towards Shouko, she kept her head above the surface so she could breathe easier not wanting to tired herself out before the end. Such it was that when one hand lifted above the snow surface she began to hear instructions and paused long enough to understand. A part of her wanted to smile as it seemed Sensei had either figured out her name or remembered and offered them an excellent plan to work with.Taking each victim one by one back to the bus might exhaust her, but being able to tow a sled would make it drastically easier.
By the time she got back to Shouko's general area her friend had managed to assemble the sled and was headed towards the injured fellow. So, following the instructions she headed over to the other two. First she headed over to the teenager and introduced herself. "Hello. I'm Mia. My friend and I are evacuating everyone to a safer place by using a makeshift sled. Can I ask you to wrap your arms around me and hold on so that I can swim you over there?"
Given that the girl had only a bunch of bruises and scrapes it would be fine to swim her closer to the surface unlike the previous man whose injuries she didn't want to disturb. With consent given she would swiftly swim over, spotting Shouko's trademark hair cut above the dunes. She deposited her passenger into her friend's care and swiftly swam over to the next person she had seen. Once more she popped out of the snow nearby and introduced herself. "Hello! My name is Mia. My friend and I have been charged with evacuating everyone. We've set up a makeshift sled nearby that I would like to bring you to. Could you please wrap your arms around me so I can swim you there?" While her introductions sounded almost the same, she had been careful to emphasize that they had been given this duty. Adults liked to know there was a plan involved and she knew that she looked just like another passenger given the casual clothes she was wearing. Once more with permission granted she would swiftly swim her passenger over to the sled and to the ready company of Shouko. Mia's brain seemed to come to a screeching halt as she beheld her friend, now without her usual outfit and adorned with only the battle armor. How is she not freezing!? Her eyes dwelled a tiny bit too long before her brain managed to restart and she focused on the objective again. "I can swim these three back, is there anyone else that needs our help?" She moved over and hitched herself up to the sled and prepared to take off again. Fortunately the two women seemed to understand what was expected of them as they held on, but also held the other man down and secure on either side. With everything squared away, Mia was off again, notably feeling the drag of this new cargo and coming to grips with the fact that this was going to be a more tiresome swim.

Three on the sled, three on their way down! It seemed they were getting the hang of this rescue shtick! "Way to go, Mianon! I knew I could count on you! Let's see..." The girl made a show of looking around as her partner loaded her charges onto the cart. "Ah! there's more coming off the plane! Eto... Get these three to the bus, especially him!" She pointed to the man with broken arms... Was he even still conscious? He needs treatment, stat! Then, meet me up there! We'll catch them as they jump down! We'll get as many on the sled as we can!" Pulling the sled back uphill would naturally be harder than taking it down... She imagined shaking a fist at gravity... But it would still be easier than taking people down one at a time! "Mianon, I'm counting on you!" She told her friend, before running up towards the hole in the side of the plane.
As she made her way up, she touched her hand to the communication device on her wrist. "Itsuki-sensei, sorry to bother you! Eto, your vantage point is better than ours! Can you seen anyone in our blind spots?" She asked hurriedly. She knew that the teacher had to use all his concentration to hold back the snow, but... He was also in the perfect position to find any hidden victims! Even having to split his attention to look, would be easier on him than trying to hold the wall while the two below combed the mountainside!
As she waited for a response, she reached the people dropping from the side of the plane. To the ones who had already come down, she would briefly look over them for injuries... These ones had gotten lucky, she nodded. "Alright! Hold tight, everyone! We've got a sled coming to get you down to safety, so don't panic!" Although she neglected to mention how makeshift said sled was... Anyways, to the people above, she would continue. "Don't worry! Now that I'm here, you're all good! As long as you come down one at a time, I'll catch you! One at a time, remember!" She shouted upwards, hoping they could hear her over the distance, the wind, and the panic inside... But what more could she do, but call, and wait with her arms outstretched in order to catch them on their way down? She just hoped that Mianon would get back with that sled soon...

'They aren't going fast enough!' Itsuki would think to himself, though more so because of how long he was holding this falling avalanche, than because of how long the girls were taking. Truthfully they were doing excellently for being first year students. They had already gotten several victims off the plane and onto the bus, moving much quicker now that Itsuki had suggested the use of the sled! He only managed a peek back at the girls before having to refocus his efforts. Every now and then there would be a clump of snow that would fall from over-top his wall, covering parts of the plane underneath him.
He could see the other teams of students and teachers within his peripheral vision which only reminded him just how vital his efforts were. He couldn't just wait on the okay from Shouko and Mia... he had to wait for the hundreds of people to be evacuated. Damn, this wasn't going to work, he had to think of something else and fast. He had to divert the snow somewhere. No sense blocking a leak that would over flow if you could redirect it right? He began to shift his wall, tons of snow spilling over and falling through the cracks (though not as bad as if he had actually let the wall down), to create a path away from the plane that the snow could begin to fall and fill. This thankfully released a little bit of pressure from his initial wall, allowing him the moment he needed to look away from what he was doing back down to the two girls. Shouko asked him if he could see anything that the two girls didn't, and with just one sweep of their side of the plane he immediately tensed up again.
"Behind the wing of the plane there are... I think two people surrounded by a pack of wolves... the avalanche must of moved them here! Move fast!" He yelled out towards Shouko who had originally asked for his help. Crap, he couldn't stay stuck here, he had to go! He would focus on creating more and more walls to both close in the plane, and divert the snow so that he could protect them from this avalanche before acting to help Shouko and Mia.
Meanwhile, as Itsuki stated there were a pack of wolves surrounding what looked to be a mother and her young teenage daughter. The girl would barely look to be 13, and the woman was... well, not fit for most people to see. It seemed the two had jumped off the plane prior to the crash and had landed in the thicker parts of the snow. While injuries weren't much of an issue, the two did find themselves stuck chest deep in the snow, unable to move or defend themselves. The young girl had managed to crawl out enough to use her arms to slap, punch and beat away the wolves that were coming down on her, but her mother hadn't been so lucky...
Unfortunately this woman would be the first casualty that Shouko and Mia would find. The snow was covered in blood as the wolves had bitten into the mothers neck to drag her out of the snow and away to be used as food. This divided the pack, half of them dragging the woman away while the other half were still attempting to get the young girl out of the snow. the girls arms were heavily bleeding and injured thanks to the wolves, but she hadn't been taken yet, and hopefully Shouko and Mia could act fast enough to save her...

Mia arrived back at the bus with the next load of passengers. Thankfully everyone was rather cooperative and helped the victims off the sled and into the warmth of the bus. She would have liked to help out more but making sure bones didn't move much was the extent of her understanding of first aid. A fact she was deeply regretting at this exact moment. At least this way they could stay warm until proper help arrived. With the last of them offloaded Mia turned around and started to swim again. There was no denying that she felt tired as she pushed through with her quirk hoping she could just keep going. She was breathing pretty hard, and the pain in her muscles was starting to let itself be known. Even worse, the distance between the bus and the plane was considerable and it gave her time to think. To realize just how slowly they were going and how many people may yet still be left and how tired she actually felt. 'Will I even have enough strength to make it?'
No-one would be able to blame them of course, she could only go as hard as she could, anything more was just impossible. In her heart though, even as she skirted despair, she felt that it simply wasn't good enough. Even if reality dictated the limitations of what she could do, she didn't want to accept that, the world should be better than that. Perhaps it was the naive thinking of a girl who spent almost her entire life submerged in stories of great adventurers and heroes from books, but she still wanted to believe it. She focused in on the words her friend had said to her as she left; 'I'm counting on you'. This was the bottom line, these people had no-one else to help them and so she would push herself even harder, until she collapsed if need be, past that even. She arrived a bit too late to hear the teacher's response to Shouko's question, given that it wasn't broadcasted on the communicator. Mia pulled the sled up near where Shouko was helping people get out of the plane. "Sled's here!" She announced, displaying her ability to take more passengers. However in a lower tone of voice she directly questioned Shouko. "Did we miss anyone?" With such a chaotic scene it was quite likely that they would forget someone, or something terrible might happen though she thought the man with two shattered arms seemed quite horrible enough thank you very much. She did what she could to load people onto her sled and prepared for another run.

It didn't take long to get a response- Good work, eye-in-the-sky! Shouko saluted mentally as she began to run towards the wing of the plane. As for those she had caught on their way down... Right on time, Mianon was here! With the sled! "Mianon, I'll leave these to you! We've got a wolf pack down there, I've gotta move fast! You okay with catching people?" Of course, she hardly waited for an answer. How many people were even left on the plane? And Mianon could handle it! She was Mianon after all! Anyways, wolves were dangerous, so she had to move fast! A shame it wasn't a bear. Wasn't the dream of any martial artist to fight a bear bare-handed? As she raced forward, her inner thoughts belied the plucky optimism of the girl, a certainty that nothing could possibly go wrong. She would be in for a rough surprise.
She was getting used to running in the snow- Although perhaps plowing through it would be a more appropriate phrase. However, the snow was getting deeper as she approached, and the effort needed to push through the drifts kept her from moving as fast as she would have liked. As fast as she needed to. Maybe she should have asked Mianon to come out for this... No! She could do it! She couldn't make Mianon fight wolves, it was way too dangerous! If Mianon got hurt, she'd... Okay, she hadn't thought that far ahead. But it wasn't okay! She snorted energetically, will flowing through her as she crashed through the snow... Fortunately, it hadn't gotten above her waist! Her battle dress acted like a plow, pushing the snow away from her- And with shoes and socks, only the bottoms of her legs were exposed to the chilling snow!
It was with such optimistic and cheerful thoughts that the battle maniac pushed her way to the back of the plane. And it was there that all such thoughts fled, the girl left staring in shock at the sight. Red blood dyed the white snow, a steady trail leading to a gruesome sight- A body, torn apart. Bloody teeth tore through to the bone, entrails spilled out. Eyes glazed over in the pain of death, still tinged with fear- And a hint of worry. ..."A---a-aaa.... AAAAAAAH" A scream tore out. Shouko had seen violence before. In games, and movies. The latest horror movies even had such realistic special effects... But it was nothing compared to this. The horror. The shock. The contrast with her thoughts of mere moments before... The smell of copper, wafting on the wind. Her breaths became short, her pupils dilated... Her stomach hurled and heaved... Bile rose to her mouth, and the rest of her stomach contents wasted no time in following. The only hopeful thought in her mind, how glad she was that Mia did not have to see this.
It was another scream that woke her from her living nightmare. The voice of a young girl, whose arm had been bitten into by a wolf. It took a moment, but Shouko's unfocused eyes snapped back to clarity. Her trembling legs regained some strength... Even as they quivered. Had the snow always been this cold? Could she truly defeat a wolf? Would she... End up, the same way as... Her eyes returned to the body, still being dragged away. Her heart thumped in her chest, a way it never had before. It was not the enthusiastic pump it gave when seeing a particularly cool battle, or the soothing thump it gave when Mianon did well... It was a thump that reverberated in her ears, drowning out all other sound. It was the sound of a heart that was afraid to die.
She didn't know when she had started moving. And when she realized it, she had a sudden surprise that she was not running away. The wolf grew closer in her view- Gods, she never knew how large these things were. Why did anyone think it was a good idea to reintroduce them? But... Distractions, begone! "Hai-yaaa!" The girl shouted, her arm rushing forward to punch the beast which was attacking the girl. To see her, torn apart in the same manner... Shouko would not allow it! If these wolves wanted to eat... Then eat this!
It wouldn't be long before the wolves noticed a new victim, and Shouko would be ready to meet them- Relying on her dress to protect her legs from their teeth, Shouko whirled about, laying blow upon blow on any she could reach. But there were so many of them! Would she be able to last? To protect... This person? To protect... herself? She couldn't help but think such unnecessary things- Much unlike how she acted during a proper spar. Distractions crowded her, dulling her reactions- A tooth sank into her arm, causing her to wince in pain, even as she managed to throw the beast off.
But even so, she did not call for help. She did not want... Mianon to see her. Not right now. Not like this. She did not want her friend to hurt, the way she had hurt, when she first saw this scene. And that was why, no matter what... "Raaaaaaah! Come and get me, you dumb dogs!" She screamed, redoubling her efforts.
Another bite, another tooth. But this time she was ready. Even as the jaw clamped around her arm, a cracking sound could be heard- Stone burst forth from the skin, creating within moments a sturdy stone shell- As though her arm had turned into a club. Certainly, a shell harder than these beasts could break. But could she break all their teeth before they wore her down to the ground?

"Oh, um, okay. Wait a wolf pack?!" She most certainly was not okay with trying to catch people, and she wanted more information but her friend had already begun swiftly plowing through the snow towards the back of the plane. She shook her head and focused on the task before her calling to the next person in line and hoping her weak arms could catch them. "Alright, one at a time, jump and I'll do my best to catch you." Her words naturally conveyed the anxiety building in her. Mostly about what Shouko had mentioned, but also a bit about catching people. Ready or not, the first one jumped down and she caught them.
"I.. got you.." She commented, the shock of it coloring her words as she slowly let the young man down. She actually had managed to catch him. She had always been rather weak, so it really was quite a surprise, but all that training actually seemed to be paying off. With renewed confidence she called to the next person. "Alright, you're next." She caught the older woman with ease and growing confidence, beckoning to the next person and trying to mentally figure out how many people she could fit onto her sled if they were still healthy. The next person jumped into her waiting arms and the next. The one after that however she nearly dropped at the sound of a scream. Her head whipped in the direction of the scream, noting that it came from the direction Shouko had departed towards. Instinctively her legs started to move in the direction when someone called from inside the plane. "Are you ready? I'm going to jump now." She froze and turned as if to argue only to see a young kid jump from the plane and swiftly moved to catch him. Shouko was in trouble, she had to go, why didn't they understand that? But that would be unfair to think since these people were in trouble too. Her mind fought her heart, trying to force her to stay rooted to her duty rather than rush to the aid of her friend. What if she needs me there? what if she's badly hurt? It felt like her heart was being crushed in the jaws of some great shark as she wanted so badly to forget these people she didn't know to go to Shouko. Even as she continued to catch people, the tears of frustration built up in the corner of her eyes.
She focused herself as best as she could on the task before her and the meaning of it. These people needed her, and she didn't even know the situation over near Shouko. She couldn't just abandon them, this task had been given to her and she had to see it through. Besides, Shouko's super strong, there's no way she would be beaten, right? The words sounded incredibly hollow and didn't change how she felt no matter how many times she repeated them in her mind. Just please, please be safe Shouko, I don't want to imagine a world without you. Her arms continued to catch people and let them down mechanically while she repeated this new mantra in her mind. Please, be safe.
With how mentally distracted she was, she didn't see that she had let too many people down for her sled already and one of the people remarked on it, momentarily knocking her out of her tormented thoughts. "Oh, right. Okay I'll take this batch of people back to the bus," Her eyes scanned the crowd of people to find at least one man that looked strong enough to catch people in her absence. "Ah, could you catch people for a few moments, I'll be right back." Taking a card from Shouko's typical playbook, she swiftly hitched herself up and left with the sled full of people before he could sufficiently argue against this newly assigned duty. As she swam she couldn't help but feel the strain in her arms from the catching all those people and using them to swim ever forward.
She swam with all speed, somewhat driven by the desire to see these people to safety but not entirely. The larger share of her will was directed to finishing this duty so she could find out what happened to Shouko, and thusly she pushed herself quite hard, not realizing that if she kept going so recklessly she wouldn't be able to maintain it. She offloaded this freshest batch of victims and made it back in record time feeling the pain building in her tail. It was actually rather painful but she ignored it and pushed through, yet the scene when she returned surprised her a bit. Apparently the victims had been thinking about their situation a bit more effectively than the distracted young shark. They had two people working together to catch people so as to relieve the strain and they had managed to amass a fair bit of people while she had been swimming off. People which immediately took up places on her sled and braced themselves to be ferried to safety. She didn't even have to slip off the harness if she wanted to leave with another batch of survivors.
Thusly when she was full, she took off again, noting that there couldn't be too many people left, maybe half a load of people she guessed. That would be good given the amount of pain her tail was communicating to her; she wouldn't be able to keep this up all day. Sadly, no matter how fast she dropped off the penultimate shipment of people, the distance was still great and her concerns pulled her conscious mind into them like a black hole. She wanted nothing more than to finish this task and rush to Shouko's aid if necessary. With the ceaseless storm of her concerns granting her speed she pulled in back at the plane and made ready for the final load.

As Mianon smoothly worked together with the jumpers to rescue those still in the plane, her friend's situation was absolutely as dire as the former could fear. And perhaps, then some. Blood streaked the white snow- To say that most of it was hers would be wrong... But only because of that one body which was no longer intact. As for the wolves attacking... Despite returning the favor to them, the numbers were absolutely not in Shouko's favor. For each she fended off, two more attacked from the other side. Her breathing shortened from exertion. At the very least... Since she had arrived, that girl behind her... Had not gotten a scratch. Perhaps it was that the wolves were wary enough of Shouko so as to give there all to hunting her. Or perhaps it was more that they knew the lass was not going anywhere while they fought.
Vicious fangs dug into an ankle- The wolves had discovered the limits of Shouko's battle dress. While a club fell immediately after, the damage was done, and the beast's fangs glistened with red blood. The battle maiden's footwork faltered because of the injured limb- An advantage the beasts could not possibly miss. How many of them were there? Most of them were injured, however, compared to herself... Sticks and stones could break their bones, but she had no fangs with which to make them bleed.
It was a sobering battle. Images flashed before Shouko's eyes- The friends she had made at school. The ones she had only just met on the bus. Mianon's smile when she agreed to hunt Tsuchinoko with Shouko. Even... Buzzkill-sensei's stern lecture when telling them they couldn't do it. Kazzun's attempt to defend her... It had just been this morning, so why did it feel like it was a lifetime away? Was this the legendary... Life flashing before one's eyes? Ahhh, if she'd known it would be this hard... She would have... Made sure to...
Interrupting her fading thoughts was a voice from behind. "M... Mom. Mom." Sniffling tears. That's right, it wasn't only herself she was fighting for. Gritting teeth, the girl took a deep breath. This wasn't like her! Who was she, she was... UA's Battle Analyst! These beasts... Could latch onto her weaknesses. But why couldn't she do the same? Eyes snapped open, as feral as the beasts she faced. She... Wasn't the only injured one! Her eyes covered the pack of wolves in an instant... That one! It was the one whose bite had found nothing but a mouthful of stone! The blood was clearly not hers, but stemmed from where several of its canines had broken off. That one, was the one she had punched most cleanly in the side! See how it moved, the ribs must surely be bruised if not broken. And that one! It was uninjured so far!
Information gathered in her skull, turning into a plan. The wolves moved in for the kill. The stone clubs moved once more. Raised highly above her head- One wolf took this opportunity, lunging for her side. But it was... As the maniac had planned! Only a few teeth remained in this mouth, so even though it hurt... It didn't hurt nearly so much as... The stone club falling, crashing down in an explosion of snow, blood, and shards of rock!
Nor was she finished with that. The impact having shattered the clubs on her hands, they were able to move freely once more... Grabbing the mouth which had latched onto her bare midriff, the girl ripped it off with naught but her brute strength, before throwing the hefty animal off to the side. As for the one she had struck... A leg twitched, then lay still. But Shouko had no time to consider her first time killing. There were... Still several wolves remaining. It was a hopeless situation. Even if Mianon were to come... It would just be... A second victim.
However, while she did not consider it, the wolves certainly did. In the first place, food was not worth life- And Shouko was quickly proving herself a more dangerous foe than initially estimated. Even their primal instincts could understand the simple logic- That even though they could bring her down. It would not be worth it. Their injuries would be too severe to protect their territory from another pack. The creatures slowly backed away, much to the two girls's surprise.
As the animals retreated, Shouko stumbled slightly- Fortunately, not showing enough weakness to tip the scales against her. Soon, the grey bodies limped out of sight, in search of some perhaps softer prey. "They... Left...?" Shouko murmered, unable to believe it. Why had they left? They were absolutely... No. Why, wasn't important. What mattered was... Those warm tears, running down her bare back, and swiftly turning cold in the mountain air.
Shouko finally turned around, coming face to face with the girl who was not much younger than her. "..." But for once in her life, the blabbermouth didn't know what to say. If she said... She was here to save her, then... What about the girl's mother? Whose blood and entrails still could be seen on the edges of the clearing? If only she had been... Faster. More aware. Asked sensei for advice... A minute sooner.
But to her surprise, the girl flung her arms around her without a word. "Onee-san... Thank you." To her surprise, what came out were not words of blame, but words of thanks. "To save me, Onee-san... Got, so injured. I'm sorry." As for the brunette... She could only stare blankly at that. In the first please, she was the one who was sorry, so why was she being apologized to!? She... Didn't understand. But her arms found themselves wrapped around the other girl, and the warm tears flowed from both sides. "I'm sorry too... That I... Your mother..."
"Onee-san... That... Don't blame yourself..." Even though, by her tone, she still hurt deeply... She didn't blame Shouko at all. And... In return...
Shouko would protect her until the end. Her tears dried up, as determination filled her gaze. "... Can, you walk?" She asked. Of course, with her foot... Even she... And it turned out to be similar for the other girl. In the end, the two clung to each other, using their one good leg each, to slowly limp back... To where help awaited. Towards Mianon. Towards home.

Mia helped load up some of the passengers with injuries onto her sled and asked the last person to jump to take a quick run through the plane to see if they missed anyone. To leave someone behind would be a horrific mistake to make. As she waited for their response she thought about the person she didn't want to leave behind at all costs, and continued to worry about their safety. Please, be safe. It had become something of a mantra in the past few minutes that she kept repeating to herself. Thankfully she didn't have to wait long for a reply, sadly it wasn't one she wanted to hear.
"Hey! hey this guy's messed up real bad! Are you ready to catch him? There's another guy that went right through the windshield too!." Mia's pulse tripled. She had seen a steward or two so far, but no pilot. "I'll get the one who went out the windshield!" she proclaimed, thinking the people currently helping people down could help the newest victim. Swiftly she figured out the direction and bolted towards where she figured the man would have shot out from the airplane.. approximately. What she found seemed strangely more comforting than she expected. The glass from the plane must have been damaged or something since the man seemed relatively undamaged give or take the freezing cold. Sadly he was unconscious and that made him a dead weight as she attempted to carry him while swimming to the best of her ability. This in turn was putting more pressure on her tail since she needed both arms to carry the man and the pain was swiftly reaching the intolerable level. She would occasionally gasp at the cramping, and the world would swiftly become solid around her for a moment killing her momentum, forcing her to grit her teeth and focus hard on pushing through again.
At last she arrived and added her victim to the growing pile of survivors on her makeshift sled. Firstly, she noticed a continued lacking of 'Shouko', and then she noticed the other pilot had sustained a bad head injury. Someone had at least had the decency to wrap what looked like a shirt around his head in a serviceable bandage, but the formerly white shirt had already seen its fair share of blood despite the last man out of the plane keeping pressure on it. This was all kinds of bad, she didn't know how bad exactly having no real training for that kind of thing but no head injury would register itself as minor to her. The other passengers on her proverbial life raft seemed to share the opinion as they kept looking at the man with worried glances. Seeing that all of her former passengers were accounted for, that left only Sensei, Shouko and whoever she rescued left. Please, be safe.
She turned to survey the area where Shouko had headed off to, hoping against hope that she was on the way, and preparing to start trudging through the snow if they weren't. Thankfully some god must have been smiling on her, as her eyes began to fill with tears at the relieving sight of her friend. This brief bliss proved quite ephemeral though as she surveyed her friend's injuries and the way both her and the girl with her seemed to be relying on each other just to walk. Her heart seemed to leap into her throat, tempering that bliss with worry over the injuries her friend seemed to be sporting and the blood that even now still clung to her battle dress. To be honest, she would probably blend in with the battered, bruised, and badly injured survivors of the crash give or take the choice of attire. Even as the tears she had begun to cry threatened to strangle her voice into silence she still managed to choke out a decently clear address. "Shouko!? What happened? Are you okay?! Here, why don't you sit on the sled and I'll swim you back." Her tone was completely saturated with concern as she fought her desire to embrace her friend closely for fear of making the damage worse. Her eyes meanwhile surveyed Shouko's form for injuries, noting no small amount of bloody bite marks, and more than a few splotches of blood that didn't seem to come from Shouko if their placements meant anything. Clearly the wolves had gotten their just deserves for hurting Shouko, but not even an act of God could stop the guilt that was creeping up in Mia's mind. Her flimsy justifications for not going to Shouko's aid earlier seemed all too useless in defending against the guilt she felt at this moment, even if it was no doubt the 'right' thing to do and the proper thing for a hero to do. Up until now she had only read about heroics, never once considering that there might be a terrible feeling and cost to making such decisions. They had gotten away with it this time, but would they the next time? Shouko could have very well ended up dead due to her decision. The young shark continued to move and function, but with the heaviest heart she had ever known.

Disclaimer: since Crimson her pc isn't working I am posting. This is the last round and you can post an ending for your character after this! (for staff please my exp for this post to Itsuki).
Even if his quirk would be able to help him with redirecting the avalanche, it was always easier said than done. The sweat trickled on his face as he controlled piece by piece of the frozen floor to move it there. He had to focus, the wolves around. The other victims and he had actually no time to keep an eye on the two students. He had to hope they could keep up while he made sure that they were safe. The moving on the avalanche between him, the wolves and basically the plane was the best strategy that he could think of. Nature was definitely one of the things that he had knowledge about. Wolves weren't stupid and they would probably hold their distance because there were quite a few around but their group of three was maybe too much away from the plane to give them that sense of safety from the other human beings around. He had to focus and yet make sure the plan was working as he kept on sliding the amount of snow that came towards him to the safe side.
The avalanche will teach them, the wolves would know fighting the snow mass would be too dangerous and leave. Right. Finally he managed, time to take a short but quick gasp of the cold air that now burned his lungs. Hot and cold at the same time, the teacher turned around and shook the feeling off him. Right that crisis was averted and he tried to find Mia and Shouko quickly with his eyes, "We should go, take the others with you to the bus. Blank brought it here, it must be on the other end of the path." He looked over his shoulder but everything seemed to be managed, the students were not too far away from him and he quickly jogged there. Damn he could use a proper lunch right now but he shouldn't think about that. There wasn't time for that as he quickly found Shouko and Mia, "Are you two okay?" He said slightly abrupt because he did not see what happened before, it might have to do with the casualty that he had to leave to them. He had to motivate them to pull through for now, "You did good," He shortly looked at the teenage girl. It was obvious not the nicest thing to do and they would make their way to the bus, he would follow Mia who had the sled and seemed to have the intention to go that way. The emergency services might be there already and they would take over. He had no words for compliments, it was simply how it was right now.
They were nearly there and indeed people came to their add, to look after the girl that Shouko and Mia saved and he looked again behind him, but considering there were now many others around the wolves must have moved on. He still should say something to the students but he was still lost for words. "You did a good job, now go inside the bus and warm up alright. Get something to eat. You did great." He looked at the two girls once more before turning to the emergency services to see if they needed help or information.

Blood dripped onto the snow. Ankles bled, side bled, arms bled. Both girls showed the signs of the struggle they had barely survived- Spared by the timely retreat of their foes. Stumbling legs carried the two forward, leaning on each other for support, for without it they would collapse. But before them lay safety. Crumpled metal torn from the plane by the crash- The makeshift sled which the students had been using for transport. "Hold on... We're almost there..." Shouko encouraged the nameless girl she walked with. But there was no response. It was too cold. Too exhausting. Even Shouko... Hardly felt able to walk the rest of the way towards the top.
But what she saw there renewed her strength. A package of victims, rescued from the crash- As she had fought, it seemed her friend had been hard at work. That silvery tail cut through the air as she ran towards them, fear in her eyes. Worry. Despite the exhaustion, a grin came to her face. So that her friend wouldn't worry. "It's all right. Everything is just fine." Though whether she was convincing the other, herself, or the girl shivering on her arm... Perhaps it was all three. Tired legs stepped forward, a bloody trail in the snow showing their exact path.
The plane was now empty. "Is this... Everyone?" She asked. Presumably, she would receive the affirmative- Between their team and the other students, the mountain would have been completely evacuated. She could finally relax. Muscles went limp, practically falling into the empty space which had been left in the back of the sled. Had it always been... This cold on the mountain? It was only now that she realized... The girl with her, had not been the only one shivering. Whether it was the cold, the shock, or the blood loss... She was in no shape to continue. Fortunately, Nimue-sensei was on the trip with them. Their school nurse was the sort of miracle worker... Who could make everything better...
As the relief sank in, eyes began to slowly close. It was okay. She could rest. A mighty fine bed, ice is. When her eyes opened, it would all be warm... Right? But even as she nearly had sunk into the blissfulness of rest. A sound resounded through the mountainside. Not as loud as the explosion which had announced the beginning of the nightmare. But, what could it be? It was... Like a gunshot. A sudden, loud crack. Like something shattering. Something. Shattering.
Eyes shot wide as the girl mustered her strength to whirl around. At the top of the mountain... The wall holding back the snow... "It's gone!?" Shouko shouted in surprise. A wall of white poured downwards, their puny vessel the first thing in it's path... Her face strained withe effort, even as the determination in her eyes rekindled. This far... She had come this far... Not to lose... To this! With a surprising grip, she would find her friend's, still helping her into the sled... And pull her aboard as well.
"Hold onto me, Mianooooon!" Shouko declared with all her strength. If it wasn't for her... Mianon wouldn't have come along. Whatever happened... She wouldn't let... her friend be hurt! "Everyone... Hold on! Whatever you do, hold on!" Of course, it wasn't just the two of them. The fate of this entire load of victims... Depended on them! And that was all the time they had, before the wall of white approached.
It could be said to be sheer dumb luck. Instead of simply burying the metal plate and its passengers, the flowing snow picked up the fragment of the plane's hull. Snow filled the air around the huddled people, as the small craft was dwarfed amidst the raging torrents of the natural disaster. With her injured arm, Shouko held Mia tightly... And her other, gripped the edge of the sled. Her tunic, spread out over the top, somehow held fast, keeping the passengers in... But would the makeshift ties they had made hold?
"Sensei... Sensei... Do you come in? Sensei!?" As they rode down, Shouko would desparately try their communicator. She hadn't seen him since his wall came down... Was he even safe? He had saved them all, but she hadn't seen him escape... Where was Itsuki-sensei? If anyone could pluck the makeshift boat they rode from the furious avalanche, it would have to be a teacher... But whether the other end of the radio was dead, or the snow in the air was blocking the signal, there was nothing. They could not depend on anyone but themselves.
Gripping tight for dear life, things seemed to be looking up... Until... "We're going to craaaaaaaaash!" came a scream from the front of their craft. Eyes wide in horror, Shouko strained to turn around... And saw exactly what they meant. Coming down from the peak, they were about to enter the forest, and its trees. Hitting a single one would stop them, leaving them to be buried under the yet-strong avalanche of death. And one such tree was directly in their path.
She didn't have time to think. It would work. It had to work. Her grip on the vessel dislodged, relying on her balance and the girl she held to keep her aboard. "GYAAAAH" She screamed, slamming her fist down into the snow behind the boat. Except it wasn't her fist, grey stone exploding forth from her skin as she pressed all the weight she could muster into the snow. And the scream would not stop their- The forces exerted, felt like they would tear her arm off. But it was... Better than dying! Like a rudder, her arm in the snow bent, the entiure craft shifting... Just enough to evade the tree. But how many trees were there in the forest? Pain wracked her face as she swerved the boat among the deadly minefield... With everyone's lives on the line.
And at the end... The avalanche reached flat ground. The force of nature dissipated, and the ship's momentum carried it forward. Sliding to a stop, just before the bus. The brunette would slump forward, limp. The rest, was a job for Nimue-sensei.
