WORD COUNT: 661 TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Most of the girl's belongings were in a small cardboard box between her hands. It was strange, realizing exactly how few things that truly belonged to her. How they could all be picked up and placed down into a singular box that she could carry around with little effort. Within was a rolled up sleeping bag,a simple lamp, a few sets of clothes and sheets for the bed. The cardboard box hardly weighed anything. Over her back, was the girl's schoolbag. It had seen some wear and certainly wasn't new. It held everything that she needed for classes. Rented books, pencilcases, notebooks. Everything the girl owned, everything the girl had in life, was summed up in these two containers.
Walking through the dorms at Yuuei, a new chapter began today. Freedom from her past, freedom from her family. Fear of standing on her own, fear of being a failure, fear of not being good enough. It was a mixed sensation within her stomach. A sensation that, had the girl not already been aware of who she'd be living together with, would've been a thousand times worse. Having shared the notion that she wished to move out with a classmate, said classmate hadn't hesitated for even a single heartbeat to invite Rin to live in the same room...
Speaking with the board that handled the dorm registrations, it hadn't even been a particularly difficult task to arrange. So now, only a few days after their initial conversation, Rin stood outside the door to the dorm room, with all her belongings in tow. Hesitating for a moment, today was the beginning of something new. Scared, excited, it all began today... A few deep breaths were taken as Rin gathered her resolve.
Uncertain of whether Jasmine had been notified or not, Rin quietly knocked the dorm room door, taking a few steps back. The class president had been informed that, in the coming few days, all of the students would be given access to a phone and a chatroom, compliments of Yuuei. If those had only arrived a few days earlier, perhaps she'd have had the opportunity to give Jasmine a proper heads up on her arrival. Nervously scratching the back of her hand, hopefully Jasmine hadn't changed her mind. Wait, what would happen if Jasmine had changed her mind?
The door opened a few moments later. Without properly looking at Jasmine, Rin just blurted out the words that came to mind, in a rapid and quick moving stream. "Jasmine-chan, good morning! I'm, uh.. So, I was allowed to, uhm. Move in, and stuff.." Rin spoke nervously, her sentences strung together rather awkwardly. "I'm not sure if you'd been told.. I don't have your number, uh. So.... Y-yeah!.. I-if it's not a good time now, I could c-come back later?" Completely flustered, Rin was evidently treading on ground that she never had before. The only other roommate Rin had had in her life, was her brother. That sharing of space had happened several years ago now... Not to mention, Jasmine and her weren't exactly siblings... How would this ever work out?
Rin was dressed in the school uniform as usual - despite it being weekend. Despite it being a sunday. Perhaps once Jasmine saw her unpacking her sets of clothes, it'd become apparent exactly why the girl favored the uniform so. The other clothes she had was worn, old, riddled with holes. Most people would've probably referred to it as leftover-rags.

First day of sun On the shores of Orion A little uncharacteristic of her it may be, but Jasmine still woke up a little earlier than usual. As surprising as it was, she didn't even need her alarm clock. Come the break of dawn her eyes were already wide open and she was wholly awake within minutes. She had her morning coffee. She had her shower and went through her other morning rituals. She had even cleaned her room and ironed all her clothes, leaving them in the places the were supposed to be in instead of strewn around everywhere. Cleaning the dust out was a little annoying. As was vacuuming. And don't even get her started on making sure all the little things she had were safely stored away in places where they couldn't obstruct somebody's path. The last thing she wanted was for her new roommate to step on something and hurt herself.
Speaking of her new roommate, Rin was supposed to arrive shortly. Jasmine hummed as she straightened herself and looked over the room. She had cleared out some space on the other side of the room where a second bed was. She pushed one of her nightstands towards it, and a desk right close. The way Jasmine organized it seemed like their two living spaces were separated by a living area - a couch and a table in front of her TV. If this room had walls, it'd be a perfect three room apartment. She was actually a little proud of herself.
And when the door rang, the blonde eagerly opened.
"Heya-!" she was instantly interrupted by the utter nervous slur raining out of Rin's mouth the minute Jasmine opened the door. She chuckled lightly as soon as the class president was done mumbling and took the cardboard box from her, noting how light it was, "Come on in and make yourself at home! Well.. it is your home now, I suppose." She set the box down on the living room table and glanced over to Rin, "Need help getting the rest of your stuff up here?"

WORD COUNT: 661 TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Jasmine had been relatively quick to answer the door. Not quite sure what to expect from the blonde, Rin had probably assumed that Jasmine could've been sleeping at this point in time. To be completely honest, the blonde didn't appear like a morning person through the few interactions that they had had together. To color Rin surprised was an understatement. It caused the raven-haired female to stand around looking a little perplexed by it all. Right until Jasmine reached out to take the cardboard box out of Rin's hands and gesture for her to come inside. Make yourself a new home. The girl was stuck in the doorway for a few subtle moments. It was as if an invisible barrier prevented her from entering. This was going to be her room. The place where Rin could go to be alone - or, well, whenever Jasmine was around she truly wouldn't ever really be alone. The door here, even when locked, Rin could unlock on her own. The girl caught herself thinking it would be her first 'real' room. Shaking her head from side to side, trying to shake the feeling off, now wasn't the time to be sentimental. It was the time to get unpacked and settle in. Taking a deep breath, Rin stepped into the room with determination, half expecting something grandiose to happen. Needless to say, it did not. There wasn't anything special about the dorm room. It was not a magical building from some fairy tail. Yet it remained exactly what Rin needed. Normalcy.
Less than a minute had passed, before things got awkward. It was a simple question. Jasmine had meant to be helpful, bringing the rest of Rin's belongings into the room so they could get her settled. A gesture of kindness. However... "W-what I have.. i-in the b-box and backpack... t-thats all my s-s-stuff... I k-know its not much.." Rin stuttered nervously, looking down at the floor. Having never had a roommate before, she wasn't exactly sure how the whole sharing space and inevitably objects functioned. Was it considered rude to be, for example, watching the television without offering anything back in return?.. It felt kind of like Rin would be leaching off of Jasmine. Freeloading. Bumming. There were plenty of words which Enzo had used to describe the problematique..."I.. I'll get a part time job.. I hope.. I-I've sent out uhm, uhm.. ap-applications. I p-promise I didn't come here t-to just.. leech off of you.." The conversation was awkward, but it revealed so much about the girl's state of mind. Constantly giving, doing her best to be fair, equal, helpful and kind. Not for one moment could she consider it acceptable to be taken care of. The world had taught her, that any such thing was wrong...

First day of sun On the shores of Orion Her words having registered in Jasmine's head, the blonde bombshell froze for a quick second. Resting her hand on Rin's cardboard box, she tilted her head a bit to the side, glancing at the awkward girl curiously. Really? This was it? Well... she wouldn't exactly say she was surprised - considering her upbringing Jasmine really didn't expect Rin to come over with five truck fulls of stuff. But to have so few things that were her own? Practically no clothes (which she assumed since Rin was wearing her school outfit on a weekend), and she devolved into the usual stuttering mess she tended to turn into whenever they talked about her.
Jasmine thought on it for a brief moment. She knew what it was like to have nothing, if she was to be painfully honest. Sure, now she had loads of stuff. A flatscreen TV, a gaming console, a state-of-the-art laptop, the newest phone money could buy, an obnoxiously loud sound system, lots of different clothes - all of that shit. Mostly because of the guilt of one hero who couldn't be there when people needed him most. Now that Jaz got all of the stuff she'd wanted growing up, she didn't know what to do with it. She hadn't touched the TV since they didn't air anything worth watching, the gaming console was left alone since playing by herself was boring, the laptop was only used for class assignments, phone and speakers for music, and clothes... she barely wore anything than panties and a shirt at home, and outside she mostly wore hoodies and short-shorts. Really, the moment Jasmine got everything she had wanted as a kid, those things just... stopped being important to her. Or rather, she realized that they were never important in the first place.
What was really important to her, she realized, were people. The people she grew up around. The people she grew up with. And the people who took turns taking care of her. That's what mattered to her the most. And that is what she had lost the most of as well. This was one of the reasons Jasmine hated her life here despite seemingly having everything a girl her age could ever want. What Jasmine was used to was living in cooped up places with lots of kids her age. She was often touted as the big sister in those groups; the girl who would make sure people were fed even if it meant she would starve herself. The girl who would put herself in harms way if it meant the kids she lived with were safe. Living in this stale, lonely environment was... it was sad. It wasn't her.
But now, hopefully, that would change. And maybe, just maybe, she could become the difference that the personality in Rin needed to bloom.
Jasmine simply smiled at Rin before carefully walking up to her. Raising a hand, she gently placed it atop the smaller girl's head and stroked her hair, noting how soft it was despite lacking proper care, "Don't worry about it, Rin. What's yours is mine. You're not leeching. We're roommates. We're here for each other, you know? Times may be a bit difficult for you now - lean on me. When shit goes sour for me, I'll lean on you. Got it? Great. Now," she paused, turning to her closet.
Humming to herself, Jasmine stomped over to her closet and rummaged through it. Rin would need clothes. Clothes Jaz had an obnoxious abundance of. Sure, her clothes were probably a bit too large for the girl, but nobody minded having a warm hoodie they could huddle up into in the middle of the night. Grinning to herself, she fetched the piece of clothing and presented it to Rin.
It was a simple purple sweatshirt with a hood - large, yet excruciatingly comfy. One of Jaz's favorites, honestly. But that was exactly what that was - another item that Jaz had several replacements for. She handed it to Rin, "Consider this my moving in present. And don't you dare say no because I'm going to glue you inside of it if you do," she said, a short chuckle following her words... yet at the same time making it clear that she was dead serious. In a funny kind of way.

WORD COUNT: 661 TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Quietly moving into the room, Rin reached out to gently take hold of the cardboard box with her belongings. Placing it down besides the bed, Rin first took out the sheets and covers for the bed. The cloth itself was worn relatively thin. Despite this, it's condition was quite astonishing. It was clear that for the few things Rin had, she took incredibly good care of them. A small music box was placed in the window. It had strange markings around it's surface. Once spun, it'd play a tune from an old french ballet. It was the only leftover relic that Rin had, reminding her that her family originated from France a few generations back. The remaining contains within the box was all clothes. Shirts that were a few sizes too small, making it difficult for even tiny Rin to wear properly. Shirts that were hand-me-downs with holes, coffee stains and the like. Despite doing her best to keep them clean and representable, it had been a losing battle. Still, they were her belongings. It was better than nothing. A few simple pairs of socks and underwear, nothing fancy. Rin did have two reasonable bras to use. Both had been given to her as birthday presents, one year apart, when her father still cared about such things.
Onto the small nightstand that came with the room, Rin placed the books and notes from her backpack. It must've been comical to someone like Jasmine, exactly how quickly Rin had managed to move in all of her stuff. Once done, the girl began making the bed. Jasmine had been speaking openly. About how they were roommates now. About how they'd be sharing things. The blonde truly was kind. When Rin had been younger, living with her brother, the worst thing they knew was having to share their favorite toys with one another. "Okay. We can share.." Rin replied in a soft, understanding tone. Jasmine had made it very clear that arguing against sharing everything was a no go. So Rin didn't argue. It still didn't feel completely fair. However, that only made Rin more determined to make it fair through effort. Finishing up with the bed, this determination was boiling...
The bed was finished, just in time to turn ar ound as Jasmine had finished with whatever she had been doing. Talking, thinking, reminiscing old times. The sapphire blue eyes met with hers, as a welcome gift was extended forwards. Rin barely heard what was said.A gift...? Carefully reaching out and taking a hold of the sweatshirt, Rin's eyes fell to the fabric. It was soft, warm, comfortable. It had no holes, no visible stains. In silence, Rin took a single step back, holding the sweatshirt... Compelled, she immediately began unbuttoning her school uniform. Folding it neatly atop of her bed, Rin kept the undershirt on. Creeping into the sweatshirt, it was almost like a tent. Length wise, it almost made the school shirt disappear. Size wise, the girl could barely get her arms out the end. Still, when the girl's appeared at the top, there was a bright smile on her lips!
With two quick steps, Jasmine was tackled with a warm hug. The edge of the sleeves were dangling in an adorable fashion. "It's so warm and soft. I love it! Though it may be a bit too warm in this heat... How does it look on me? Is it like a tent?" The sweatshirt had a completely different scent to what Rin normally wore. Half of the scent was likely because Jasmine had worn it before. The other half being a difference in cleaning products. It smelled quite nice...

First day of sun On the shores of Orion Comical wasn't the right word, honestly. More so... expected? To be completely fair Rin didn't have a lot of stuff, but Jasmine couldn't help but take note how much care she took to preserve said stuff. It was... inspiring, she wanted to say? Endearing? Definitely. But at the same time somewhat inspiring. As a person who had nothing herself, Jasmine never really bothered keeping stuff herself since she could just get her hands on things she needed in one way or another. To see this level of preservation was honestly a little bit of a surprise.
Jasmine could only snicker as Rin tackled her, the blonde allowing herself to fall to the ground while subsequently holding Rin by her hips to try and make sure the girl didn't accidentally hurt herself. It hurt, but only a little, and it definitely wasn't visible on the taller female, "A tent? Wow. That's what you make of my gift? I'm offended," Jaz said with a snort, flicking the other girl on her forehead. "It looks great on you, Rinnie. A little too big but as far as I'm concerned that's what hoodies are supposed to do - substitute sleeping bags. And don't worry about it. For now, at least. Evenings can get a little chilly so you'll definitely have a chance to wear it," as she said this, Jasmine herself embraced the other girl and stroked the back of her head gently.
After a few brief moments, Jasmine backed away a little and sat on the ground cross-legged. With a finger on her chin, she sunk deep into her thoughts. She hummed, "You're still gonna need some extra clothes. Cause like... what if a boy asks you out or something, you know? You gotta look good for dates and stuff. Then we gotta make sure you have enough shit for class like pencils and all that other crap. I'd share mine but I only have like one pen," she really didn't need more. If she lost the one she could always pluck one of Ryuusei or Yoruhi's... then again the latter was very likely to set her on fire if he caught her.
"We'll also need to stack up on some food since I only got enough for one person-" which was admittedly an overstatement. Enough for one person, in Jasmine's book, was a cup of noodles, some eggs, bacon, and maybe some orange juice if she wasn't too lazy to go to the store. Despite her quirk requiring her to actually maintain a balanced diet (which she could do since she did know how to cook pretty well), Jasmine was just too lazy to bother, "-but honestly we can do that later. You uh... you want some coffee or something? I think I have some juice in the fridge, too, if you're not much for caffeine."
Despite not exactly showing it, Jasmine was arguably just as excited as Rin was for this new chapter of her life at Yuuei. Living with another person under the same roof would be more of what she was used to and subsequently would make the lioness feel a lot more comfortable. Japan was entirely new hunting grounds for her already - hunting grounds which were too damn different from what she was used to. Fearing for her life and the lives of others, consistently being on her toes, fighting several times a day, scrounging to survive - that was her daily routine. And now... now she was practically given everything on a silver platter and it made the girl start feeling complacent. She had wondered how half these people even got into Yuuei with so little fighting experience - her fight with Maximillian and the results of some of her classmates in the rescue course being her prime examples. But at the same time she didn't question it. She was happy that not every place in the world was as fucked up as the place she came from.
And maybe, just maybe, living with Rin would make her feel a little more at home. Granted, it would still be a far cry from the constant battleground that was New York City, but it would still be a welcome change in her daily life. A very welcome change.

WORD COUNT: 661 TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy The instinct to preserve and nurture had grown in Rin for several reasons. The main one being that she, unlike Jasmine, had never had a way to supplement her current objects. If a shirt became ruined, it was highly unlikely that she would receive a new one. If the sheets to her bed were ruined, chances were she'd be sleeping uncomfortably. Possibly for a very long time. Therefore, to keep herself as content and comfortable as possible, every single object in Rin's possession had been taken care of with utmost precision. Despite this, it was clear that most of her stuff was still incredibly worn. If the bedsheets were held against the window, the sun almost shone through the fabric. The joyous tackle wasn't exactly hard, nor heavy. It was more so an excited thank-you-hug that had gotten a little too excited. Despite this lack of weight behind the tackle, Jasmine had decided that they were taking it to the floor. Rin, a little surprised seeing Jasmine begin losing her balance, had initially stopped the forwards momentum dead in it's tracks. If the raven-haired female had been given the chance, she likely would've attempted to grab hold of Jasmine to prevent the girl falling. Instead, like the open maw of a lion, Jasmine's arms closed around Rin's hips. As soon as Rin realized that they were both falling, a soft squeaking noise left her lips. "Kyaah!~" A soft thud later and Rin was resting on top of Jasmine. Not exactly uncomfortable, Rin wasn't moving as Jasmine made her reply."...Well, I mean, it's large enough that I could practically live in he-- Hey!" Flailing around on top of Jasmine, it was apparent exactly how much too large the sweatshirt was. Whenever the hood fell over Rin's head, there was practically more cloth than female present. The flaining was a result of her forehead being flicked. The girl's instincts told her to get Jasmine back for it - Though that line of thought was quickly stopped by a soft hug. Being around a roommate like this was pleasant. It was a warm welcoming embrace. It felt like coming home after a long day. However, instead of being locked alone in her room, she was greeted with a comforting embrace. Sighing contently, Rin soon scurried off of Jasmine, ending up sitting cross legged in front of the other female."I love it, seriously!.. Thank you so much, Jasmine-chan... For the room and the shirt. I'll treasure both, dearly." Rin spoke quietly, slowly pulling the sweatshirt over her head to get it off again. The way the girl folded it together, the way she carefully placed it down in her lap. It was clear that those were far from empty words. It was too warm to use for now, but Jasmine was absolutely correct. As soon as it was a little colder, it would be a fantastic piece of clothing. Perhaps when Jasmine wasn't around their room, and Rin felt lonely, the sweatshirt was something she could wear to fight that feeling too. At least it really had Jasmine's scent embedded in it.That is when their conversation shifted to the more practical parts. Rin w as well aware that she needed more things to live more of a normal student life. Having already sent out applications, hopefully starting next week, Rin would have a bit more pocket money to spend. Though, already now, the raven-haired female had decided that her first ever paycheck was being spent together with her roommate. Now she just had to figure out what Jasmine would like doing. Given the gaming console, perhaps finding her some game would work. A game they could play together. Fighter on the Street 13 or something. At least her brother Haru had spoken highly of that game."I've never really considered dating.. Looking good, huh.." For a few moments Rin was taken aback. Without having had a social life for an extended period of time, simple things like going on a date or being interested in boys had never really been a thing. "...I don't really have any experience with dating... Though, it seems like you'll take good care of teaching me things..."These few interactions at Yuuei. These changes in her life. This fantastic roommate that did everything to make her feel welcome. If this was what being a normal teenager was all about, then Rin should've fled from her home so many years ago. This was, nice.. So nice that it was almost overwhelming. "My father used to make me cook all the time. I could go shop us something and prepare some meals. If you'd like.. What kind of food do you enjoy?" While asking these questions, Rin slowly rose up from her position on the floor, carefully holding the sweatshirt. Placing it into her closet, she couldn't help but smile. Even with these old belongings that she had, the future was promising her so much. Being at Yuuei was a gift in itself~

First day of sun On the shores of Orion Did she... did she just... she just Kyaah'd, didn't she? She fucking did. Holy fuck that's so cute, Jasmine practically squealed in her mind at that. Had Rin not backed away she would've likely snugged the little girl against her chest without letting go for a little while... possible murder through breast suffocation? Not the worst way to go. And it also was totally called for given how cute Rin was.
Jasmine practically purred when Rin said something about Jaz teaching her about dating. She couldn't tell her much about boys, but dating... yeah, she had some experience with that. Not too much, but then again understanding other people wasn't really that difficult, especially when romance was concerned. Then again with boys it might be different. As far as she knew most of them either devolved into blubbering messes or were too confident for their own good and more often than not ended up turning either into jackasses or disappointments. That's what her straight friends back in NYC told her, anyway.
Speaking of... did Rin like girls or boys? She didn't even know. Huh. Not that it mattered much in the grand scheme of things. Jaz was more curious than anything. But at the same time... she didn't feel like just asking. That was... too easy. And too uncharacteristic of her. The sly part of the dominant lioness was clawing at her cage, eager to break out and play. And Jasmine fully intended to let it happen.
Watching as Rin went over to their closet, Jasmine quietly stood up. Sneakily prowling her way towards Rin, she said absolutely nothing as she leaned over her and reached into her closet with both arms on either side of her head. The height difference between the two girls made it so that Rin's head was practically smushed between the blonde's sizable chest. Subsequently, Jasmine fished out the largest tank she had from her closet... a tank that spelled Bite me over the chest area (don't ask how she got it, she went thrift shopping once and got it for the shits and giggles).
After a little while, Jasmine stepped back and offered Rin the tank, "Here. Try this on. I need to get a feel for, uhh... your size. Yeah."
The food question, not forgotten, was stored in the back of her head. She'd answer the question eventually. More pressing matters were afloat at that particular moment.

WORD COUNT: 661 TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Rin was oblivious to the fact that Jasmine had gotten up standing. For someone so many times larger, the she lion sure knew how to move around on cat paws. The first indication the girl had that something was up, was Jasmine's cleavage gently poking the back of her head. Taking a soft step forwards, Rin almost ended up stepping into the closet. Briefly startled, Rin stepped backwards, accidentally squishing herself against Jasmine's cleavage. All in all, not unpleasant, just very, very strange. A pair of hands found their way besides the girl's head, rummaging in the closet in front of her. Everything about Jasmine was incredibly big. One could've easily mistaken her for a viking. Though, to be fair, having an extremely tall roommate that could open jars and reach the top shelf without a ladder wasn't the worst of things. There was a few brief moments of confusion, before Jasmine stepped back and unveiled her plot.Wanting to know about what size Rin was, the raven-haired maiden figured it was a fair question. Having seen her wardrobe, maybe Jasmine had other articles of cloth that she could fit into more effortlessly. Though, the way the sentence was said was a little strange and earned Jasmine a raised eyebrow. "Uhm, okay... Sure, though this thing is going to be giant's size for me. If it can even stick to my shoulders..." Tilting her head backwards so that she could more easily unbutton the school shirt, just like the sweatshirt, it was neatly folded and put in place in the closet.White straps made up the girl's bra. A simple, yet effective design. Two clasps to keep it shut. Though, being this bare also unveiled the leftovers. The deep purple marks that had been visible on the girl's upper arm had changed color. They were no longer purple, no longer fresh. Instead they were deep blue. With the rest of her skin unveiled, the depth of the abuse was finally visible. Rin was littered in marks of different colors. Fortunately, none of them were fresh. The marks were slowly disappearing... Also visible, was how thin the girl truly was. Even so, she was blessed with fair curves, both front and back. A bit more weight could make her look a bit more attractive, though. The tank-top swallowed Rin whole. The straps were immediately too wide, falling down to her elbows. The cut was so deep for her small frame, that she had to stuff the edge of the tank-top into the top of her bra to prevent it revealing even the bottom of her cleavage. It was like a dress that barely managed to hang to her body by stuffing it in her bra and holding the straps onto her shoulders. The characteristic bite me barely visible across her chest. If not for Rin having stuffed some of it into her bra, the sentence would've likely been written across her stomach instead... "See.. I told you it was too big."

First day of sun On the shores of Orion Her fingers grasping at her chin, Jasmine watched as Rin changed. Their previous exchange led her to two possible conclusions: either Rin was into boys, or she was utterly oblivious. Considering the several prior interactions they've had, the blonde would have put her money on the latter, honestly. Even for a body as underdeveloped as Rin's was, she had nice curves, Jasmine had to give her that. Not too much, but not too little either. Just the right amount. But it was hard to focus on that, really. Mostly due to how the abuse Rin went through was right there, glaring at her through all of the blue bruises on her skin.
Jasmine frowned a little, her mind only able to imagine what kind of pain she had to go through. Sure, Jasmine had gotten bruised hundreds of times and she had the scars to prove it. But it was just that - a simple bruise from some asshole fighting her. In Rin's case... it was her parents (or parent, she didn't exactly know) that hurt her. The person who brought you into this world, the person who raised you, suddenly raising a violent hand against you... the blonde lioness could only attempt to imagine what that was like.
Although, she didn't know whether Rin was simply oblivious or comfortable around her by this point, but the fact that the raven haired girl was openly showing her bruises to her was a rather warm thought. That meant she trusted her, right? She hoped so. She wanted Rin to trust her. She couldn't exactly tell you why even if you asked, it was just one of those things that made her feel at home. And while 'at home' meant abused kids, in this sense, and that was pretty horrible, she thought that she could try to make things better, as she so often did.
On some level Jasmine thought she might have come across as a little too touchy, but frankly she didn't really give a rat's ass. In the next few moments the lioness wrapped her long arms around the smaller girl gently, pulling her into a warm embrace, "We'll get something your size, alright?" She asked, her voice calm as a small smile made her lips curve upwards ever so slightly. Gently, Jasmine kissed a bruise on Rin's collarbone. She wasn't sure how Rin would react to that, but what she meant by the gesture is that she understood. And that she welcomed her here, into their new dorm room. Despite what she had gone through, she would help her feel safe in her new environment. And if that meant busting a few skulls somewhere down the line... well, they deserved it, as far as Jasmine was concerned.
Before long the blonde female parted and took a short step back, humming to herself. She glanced at Rin, then back to her corner of the room, then to her closet, then to their coffee maker, then back to Rin, "How are you with coffee? I figure we could have a cup while we check which of my clothes actually fit you semi-decently, then we can hit up the store, grab some food. Maybe hit up the mall later. You know, to grab all the essentials like some new bedsheets, pajamas, maybe some more clothes - whatever you want or like. I have lots of money left over that I don't really know what to do with, nor do I really need, so you really don't have to worry about it. After that... I'unno, we can play a game or whatever? I haven't touched that console in weeks."

WORD COUNT: 661 TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Affection of any kind wasn't something Rin had been used to in a long while. Normally when arms closed around her, it wasn't to embrace or protect. It was to forcefully move her somewhere else. So when the lion's jaws closed around the small girl, she immediately froze in place. A short moment of dread, awaiting what would be coming next. It was an instinctive reflex, engrained in the girl's body through several hundred repetitions. However, what the girl's body feared never came. Rather than being forcefully pushed around, it was a gentle tug. With her back carefully pressed against Jasmine's chest, the tension that had built dispersed in the wind. The grip was firm, yet carefully gentle. It made Rin feel at home. Safe, protected. Gracefully holding onto Jasmine's arms, Rin wasn't quite sure what this was. At all. However, it was not unpleasant. It felt comforting in a kind of sensation Rin hadn't experienced before. A soft sigh left the raven haired maiden.Parting with Jasmine's grasp, the tired female waddled over to her bed, hopping up and lying there on her back. Taking a breather, Rin was attempting to keep track of everything that had happened. Continuing to stare at the roof, she replied. "I never really had coffee.. I've used it occasionally with chocolate for baking, but.. The scent never really appealed to me to try a cup." Not that her father would've offered. Stretching her body, Rin wasn't quite sure what to do with the rest of the day. Moving in, getting everything sorted. In the girl's mind it would've taken at least three or four times as long. Rolling onto her side, Rin placed her elbow into the bed, raising her head onto her hand, so she could look at what Jasmine got up to across the room. The sapphire blue eyes were inspecting the lioness with mild interest. "...I could just wear the school uniform for the shopping. I don't think anything your size would fit, almost at all." Rin felt like adding a thousand lines as to why the girl could not accept this incredible level of warmth and hospitality. Jasmine had stated, very clearly, that things in their room were for sharing. So it wouldn't do to deny the lioness. Instead, Rin needed to add to what they had together. To add rather than subtract... Rin would make sure this dorm room became the ultimate hangout for the both of them, in due time..."The thing I want most is to cook you something amazing! I'd also love to play some games, though I probably suck. Never touched a console in my life." Rin replied quietly. The enormous tank-top was threatening to fall off of her figure any moment. They had the days off to get settled. No homework, no assignments. So Rin and Jasmine would have a few days over the weekend to get to properly know each other.

First day of sun On the shores of Orion Blasphemy. She's never had coffee. This poor soul didn't know what it was like to drink coffee in the morning. She'd have to rectify that, "Well, you've never had my coffee either. I'm sorry to say but it might spoil you," Jasmine said with a small smirk as she made her way to their makeshift kitchen, grabbing a few cups and some of the ingredients required to start her brew before stopping by the coffee machine and punching the required formula in. It wasn't often she got the chance to make others coffee. The last person to enjoy her work was Yumi, and before her it was her friends back over in in New York. She missed being able to enjoy a cup of coffee with someone, honestly.
"Or we could mix them up. Wear the skirt and one of my smaller shirts. A midriff would probably suit you just fine, don't you think? No way am I letting you go to the mall dressed in the school uniform on the weekend, Rinnie," Jasmine stated as she began mixing ingredients, "Oh, you want yours with milk or just black? Cappuccino? Latte?... Maybe an Espresso? Naw, I doubt an espresso's up your alley. Oh. I can make you a Frappe. You know, iced coffee. It's pretty good." She just started making the Frappe without actually waiting for confirmation.
"Yeah, I haven't had a proper meal in days... well, sure, I ate over at the caf but they're still only serving junk food over there. I'm not exactly complaining, but junk food alone isn't all that great for my quirk, y'know? So let's just drink our coffee and head over to the convenience store. We can grab all the food you'll need and head over to the mall. Sounds like a plan? Great."
Honestly she was excited for this new change. A roommate after this long a drought in terms of proper human interaction. All she did was fight and go to class, really. Sure, there was that battle she had with Nick at the arcade, but she doubted she'd enjoy spending time with that oaf. Maybe when he pulled that stick out of his ass, she'd reconsider.
Wait. She should probably introduce Rin to Yumi, shouldn't she?
Yeah. She should. But that could come later. All she wanted to do now was enjoy a cup of ice cold coffee with her new roommate... who was arguably the definition of adorable.

I would first like to start by stating that I enjoyed this thread. While I am not normally one for slice of life threads, but this one was pretty enjoyable to read. Below I have your individual grades and a little note for each of you.
Rin Kurama: 37 EXP. I found myself picturing anime style black and white freeze frames when Rin would get wrapped up in her thoughts, which felt very natural for your character.
Jasmine Noir: 36 EXP. Jasmine feels like a very natural character in this thread. Even with little going on you were able to make longer posts that progressed fluidly without feeling stretched.
If you have any questions about your Experience please feel free to ask me anything.
