these rapid eyes will keep on moving If it was one thing the school Yuuei was good for, it was teaching Japan's odd laws and how they were going to be implemented into the hero profession. As a foreigner, Lani didn't really know anything about them. She kind of just whatever and adjusted as she learned what was or wasn't allowed. She had yet to decide if she was even going to stay in Japan once she became a pro-hero. By that time, she was sure the official position would exist in America and she could go home and finally complete her goal of defeating the Space Witch. For now, however, Lani was kind of just coasting along. SHe had a bit of infamous due to the events that happened nearly a yea ago, but that was all she was ready to get involved in. For now, she wanted to experience that grand high school life that so many movies seemed to love to talk about. The dark skin girl even joined what was considered the popular thing in odd movies to do, cheerleading. To be honest, Lani really didn't know anything at all about it. She just followed along with what the rest of her cheer mates did and hoped to encourage them to be even more amazing. And so, to learn a bit more about it all, she was going to meet up with the head of the cheerleading squad. The person that started the whole thing for the school was a student from class 1-A named Rowan. She had seen the girl around school before, but their interactions were pretty limited. And now that Lani had the girl's phone number she texted her in hopes of hanging out for a bit. If they were going to be cheer mates, then getting along was a good idea, yeah? So where were they going to meet? In front of the school campus, of course. Just on the precipice of the gates between the campus grounds and the city that the school sat next to. As far as Lani understood, Rowan didn't live on campus, but it was entirely possible that Lani got her information wrong. Either way, a little while of hanging out would give Lani the chance to really clear some things up between the two of them. Lani could only assume Rowan had questions for Lani as well. Lani stood outside, leaning up against the open gates messing with her phone. She was browsing the news and reading about another fire that happened in the city. The things seemed to be popping up everywhere. With spring on the horizon, Lani loosened up her wardrobe some. She was eager to get some skin showing after being bundled up all winter and it was refreshing to finally get the light on her. She wore a white sleeveless top that wrapped around her neck. See-through frilled cloth covered her shoulders in a loose fashion and the front of the top was adorned with a small white bow. With it, she wore a pair of denim shorts that had small plaster gems embroidered on the area where her pockets were. Her hair was tied up to expose her back and a pair of white sneakers looped the colors back to her top to complete the outfit. She was just as casual as could be. Meanwhile, quite a distance from the gates of the school, a certain other event was happening. Who was involved and what was entailed would soon put a hold on the time the girls had planned, but for now hanging out seemed like a reasonable and grand venture for them. ulla

| ◀ | The heart is a heavy burden ❤ To be honest, she had not expected textmessages from girls to hang out with her. Her phone had been very quiet lately and the only one to blame for that was herself, she had no idea if the results of her happenings had spread but she was sure as hell that it wasn't going all to well with what she wanted to be known. Lady her mask was breaking, slowly revealing that Rowan wasn't there. She had made mistakes, but she would continue trying out to make the best of it and that was the only thing she could do.
The ping showed up on her phone screen while sitting at home working out a few things for the cheerleader practice that she wanted to do. She looked at the caller id and was surprised to see the name Lani connected to it. Yes, she wanted to have contact with more of the girls and had not had the right time for that, she immediately sended a smiley back and that she would be there in ten minutes. She quickly got up, watched how Zuzu disappeared in her bedroom and put on some sneakers and her jacket before heading out. She was wearing a normal red and black striped t-shirt, blue demin jeans and now red sneakers and a black leather jacket. Her hair as usual was put in a bun and she grabbed her keys and wallet from the table next to the door and headed out. Her head automatically turning to look up the stairs but she had not seen Kanna in a long time and headed down the stairs to go towards the school.
She had her hands in her pocket and mind in the clouds as she thought about a lot of things, it was nice that someone was looking for her for a change, so she wondered what Lani would want to do today or just chat, which was okay to the fire user as well. The student rounded the corner and finally looked up, no eyes for anything around her, Lady simply did not care about it and thus only noticed Lani at the gates of the school and waved towards her, "Hi, thanks for the invite." Maybe she had invited others. |

these rapid eyes will keep on moving Lani waited for Rowan to arrive. She hummed to herself in an effort to keep things from being too silent. Sure there was the backdrop of Musutafu that provided some kind of background noise, but Lani needed something closer and more immediate. She wasn't the type to stay quiet, so even when she was supposed to the girl made noise. What was she humming? It was a tune that was popular back in her home city right now. Even though she was across the ocean in another country she kept up with the things going on back at home. It was mostly so that she could keep up with her favorite hero, but she didn't want to feel too disconnected from home. She was going to go back eventually after all. Hopefully, once she was strong enough to deal with the SPace Witch that had taken up residence there.
But just as she cleared that thought from her head, her eyes wandered up from her phone to see that Rowan had come. It was just about the ten-minute mark, just as the girl had texted back and Lani couldn't help but smile. "Sup!?" She called out as soon as she saw her squad ate. Her free hand rose to the air with a quick wave to catch her attention even though she was basically the only one in sight. She walked forward to meet with her and nodded her head as she was thanked for the invite. Lani didn't really think much of it, she just wanted to get to know her squadmates batter. "No problem! I figured we should get to know each other some. I don't know too many people outside of my class." She told the girl, moving to stand next to her so that they were standing side by side. Lani was the type of people to jump into another person's personal space. She was really fond of skinship and had a habit of touching others without permission. And while she had yet to do such a thing to Rowan, it was definitely coming. Lani just did that kind of thing without thinking. This was especially problematic because of the way she often dressed, but not so much today thankfully.
"You hungry at all? We could grab a bite and see what cool things we see along the way. I know a few places close by that are pretty interesting. Though, you live int he city right? Maybe you know it better than me." She chuckled at her words, realizing that she was the foreigner and Rowan was the one that lived here. If anyone knew what was interesting in the city, it was her. But that was okay, for now just conversation would do. From there they could just go with the flow and see what pique each others interest and the simplest way to start that off was to take about school. It was their common ground and Lani loved hearing about the heroic exploits of others. "How's your class anyway? Do anything badass yet?" ulla

| ◀ | The heart is a heavy burden ❤ It was not a long walk from her apartment to U.A. This is exactly what her father had promised her, they barely spoke but when she said she wanted to go to U.A. and with her mother's approval, he simply went to find an apartment for her, it was easy when her father owned a big company to get enough money. She never worried about it, which made her definitely not the best economist person. At the beginning of arriving, she had thrown her money into too much clothing and in the end bought half a store of stuff when she bought her kitten, Zuzu. Who was a big boy now but Zuzu hated her, because she wasn't Rowan.
Lady knew politeness, she used it as a mask to get to know more people, influence them and use them but that meant she had to build up trust before she would be able to manipulate them, would maybe be helpful for some of the cheerleaders and Saiko. She had to be very careful. She waved back as Lani had seen her, she barely knew a thing about Lani, she only had seen her before for obvious reasons of going to the same school and during that Semper Fi incident, but even Lady did not like to think about that too much, the fear for water was also in her bones. "Oh that sounds wonderful, me neither I hoped the cheerleaders would help a bit with that." She added innocently, yes, even if she would not be able to manipulate them, showing a good and polite face would help a lot too, or so she thought for the future. Lani got very close while talking to her and Lady wasn't entirely sure what to think about it but she did not say anything, everything to stay polite and friendly.
"Ah I haven't been around town too much, so I haven't seen everything, but yes, we should grab a bite." The black-haired student occasionally forgot her lunch, which was probably what would have happened now too if Lani did not suggest something to eat. She thought about what Lani her next question was, "We had some strange classes." She raised her eyebrow, not entirely sure how to describe either Jaegar or Geist his class, "But there are many impressive people in my class, it's nice to see them and how they work with their quirks." She nodded. |

these rapid eyes will keep on moving Lani nodded as Rowan spoke. There were a lot of cool quirks at the school, even in just one class. Imagine multiplying that by three? Lani would never be bored. But with how few people she knew from other classes, she didn't know much about them at all. It was a whole new world to discover! She was excited about it. "Do tell! I like hearing about that stuff." She said as she started to head toward the edge of the street to cross it. She did so at an intersection knowing full well about the trope of Japan and truck drivers. She wasn't about to become a plot piece to turn the story into a masterpiece while ruining two stories at the same time. With that said, there was someone else on the other side of the street, aiming to come to the Yuuei campus. It was a girl that looked to be the same age of Lani and was clearly a local to the city.
So once the light changed and pedestrians were allowed to cross, Lani stepped forward with Rowan to go get their food. Behind them, the girl made her way across the street. She stopped just before she reached the other end and ran back over to the curb Lani and Rowan would be stepping on once they finished. Much to Lani's surprise, the girl rounded in front of them to block their path. And now that Lani had a good look at her, she looked flustered and tired as if she had been running for a little while. Why she was in the way, Lani didn't know, but she wasn't going to let that be a mystery for very long. "The hell? What's up with you?" She asked, pretty crassly. Lani spoke her mind after all, even if the countries norms were far more polite. The girl in front of them took a few deep breathes before speaking up, looking to Rowan and Lani back and forth. "Y-you're students there right? heroes?" She asked, trying to verify them at a glance before immediately speaking again. "You can help me right? You're supposed to stop thieves and bad guys, right? Heroes don't ignore that stuff!" She added, already presuming they had to help or could help with whatever it was.
Lani glanced to Rowan, wondering if they should even bother listening to the girl. For one, they weren't actually heroes yet. And while Lani was fine with helping people, she figured the police or professionals could handle whatever the girl needed better. When did she come to the school specifically and why was she in such a rush. It was interesting, but they were already about to go and eat. That said, for her to come to the school meant that it was either urgent or the girl was really desperate. But Lani wasn't about to just drag someone that she called up to hang out with into some weird or dangerous situation. Not unless that was what they were interested in. ulla

| ◀ | The heart is a heavy burden ❤ She had to think about Lani's request because even if she found it interesting, the mixed matched of Lady and Rowan, so how much did she know was sometimes a bit iffy, especially because she did not give a damn about the names of the people. "Oh well, I bet you know a few things, I mean Jasmine?" She looked at Lani, "Man I wish I was as good as her." The thing was Lady hated to say that, she hated to go all soppy and soggy and whatever the words were over Jasmine, simply and only because the results of their quirks looked the same, something about boom! But she had to play her Rowan role correctly. "Just to understand the differences of our quirks made me realize a few things though, so that's nice. And I bet you heard about Rin, with her blood quirk. I haven't seen it myself but well I heard a lot." Why did she have to look like an overhyped fangirl?
It made for a role that she was playing. While walking next to Lani, to the intersection to cross the street. It felt weird how she kept talking and talking about everyone that she met face to face and talked to or that had left an impression because of other classes or articles. She spoke about Sean's water quirk and had no eye for the other people until the light changed. Who cared about the civilians was beyond her. Too much to worry about people that freaked out about too many things and that did not care about what they would go through. No, they deserved it or they had it coming, whatever you would like to think. She focused on crossing the street before continuing the talk she was having or well more her rambling on but it seemed Lani was interested anyway. Until the girl that had been across from them, showed back up, now even blocking their path. Lady looked at her with a scornful look. She did not like the behaviour of blocking her, as if she had no choice. She stopped walking though and looked the girl up and down. The good thing was that Lani did not seemed to be all to happy about it either.
The girl looked sweaty and tired and just something giving off a strange vibe. She rolled her eyes and wanted to open her mouth to a snarky comment but she first looked at Lani who seemed to just have the same thoughts as she was looking at her. She had to use her Rowan mask, that did not mean she could not be sarcastic. "Technically, as you said yourself we are students, so we can ignore this stuff as we don't want to get into trouble with our school but we can't answer your question if we can help you if we don't know what you need." Because what was that suppose to mean "supposed to stop thieves and bad guys." That was a long list of things that it could mean. Hopefully, she had answered open enough for Lani to not immediately hate inviting her and bringing her along. Yes, they were hero students but Lady could not give a damn about that.

these rapid eyes will keep on moving Lani could see that Rowan was not entirely pleased. Instead of jumping at the chance to help out another person, she met the request with further inquiry and a reminder that they didn't have to help the girl. it was all true. They weren't professional heroes yet. And as nice as it would be to help those in need, they had as much onus as any other person that lived in the city. They were heroes in training, but they were also just that, in training If it was a real crime or something, the police were the best ones to handle it. And if a quirked individual was involved, professional heroes assisted as well. In that case, Lani did feel the desire to stop someone doing something bad, but at this point, she didn't know if that was even part of the circumstances. So when Rowan asked the girl what exactly was up, Lani crossed her arms over her chest and decided to hear her out as well. "Cough it up," Lani said sharply. It wasn't a friendly tone at all.
And between Rowan's course sweetness and Lani's sharp tone, the girl in front of them was taken aback a bit. "Figures." She mumbled under her breath quickly before speaking up. it seemed she wasn't all that happy about the situation either. "I have someone from my school terrorizing me." She pointed back toward the direction Rowan and Lani were already heading in as she started to speak again. "He even burned all my stuff! Who even does that?" She yelled out, clearly distressed about it all. This triggered a few obvious questions, namely why she decided to come all the way to the school rather than to the police or even authority of any kind. The girl knew this, which was why she kept going in an effort to get the girls to help her. "I tried to tell my teachers, but I don't have any proof it was him. But I just know it who it was! That's why I need you." She explained, pointing back to the two girls. At this point, it was clear that she wanted the two "heroes" to dig up proof and present it to the teachers at her school. It was a whole lot of effort being asked of two strangers. But this girl wasn't going to give up.
"I went to that sports festival your school had. You're supposed to be the future of this city right? I know it's a lot, but good deeds are what make heroes the side we root for. I'm rooting for you guys!" She was clearly trying to be sweet on them for their help. So Lani turned around so that her back was facing the girl and leaned in close to Rowan. "I feel like she's going to pester us until we do something." She suggested, not too thrilled about the neediness of the girl. On the other hand, the fact that she mentioned burning specifically was something Lani took note of. It was an odd reoccurrence that she stranged to her after the few things she witnessed after the festival. "Least we could do is glance at whatever is going on right?" It was up to Rowan whether they were going to help the girl or not. Lani was fine with either. They'd be hanging out either way, ulla

| ◀ | The heart is a heavy burden ❤ She should play it better, not offending, not being difficult. If Lani saw her like this, what would she think? As the Captain of the cheerleaders, she needed to keep them and bring them together, her plan of doing the movie night after Melody her suggestion was a very important part but the problem was that it meant effort and Lady did not like that. The good thing was that Lani did not seem to appreciate the fact all together either. Surely they were on a hero school but Lady thought it was the most bullshit thing she had ever had to do and thus only stayed for the training and well it was nice to apply a burn here and there. The girl did only state the facts, basing it on not wanting to get in trouble with the school, which was a good thing.
They were after all not allowed to use their quirks outside the school property, not that people seem to listen to that anyway, such as Erek or Maxi and who the hell not she had seen doing so. Huh? What did she say? She started to dislike this girl so much for her stupidity and her arrogance, she wanted to look at Lani but that mask, it was irritating, she had to go and be sweet and polite and all that sort of dumb stuff. Seriously... her request was about someone at her school. She looked into the direction where she pointed. Burned all her stuff, then she was definitely not talking to the right person.
Before she could ask what stupid idea she had in mind, the girl went on to tell that she tried the teachers, heck what a school. She raised her eyebrow: rooting for them? Did she even see their matches, for heaven's sake. She sighed when Lani said that the girl would pester them until doing something, she did not hide that part at all. "It sounds very peculiar, it piqued my interest but the fact that she needs so-called heroes for burning homework, it's not even worth our time Lani." She said, giving a mix and match of what she felt, "We could try and see so she stops bothering us, I suppose." It was the best thing she could come up with. This girl only needed to be put on her number to stop beings such a twat about pestering people who had so much better things to do. |

these rapid eyes will keep on moving Hearing Rowan's words, Lani thought for a moment. The girl seemed earnest enough, but it was still a hassle and came out of nowhere. Even heroes deserved a break. TThe fact that she didn't have any proof and didn't get help from the authorities she was supposed to be pretty suspicious. But at the same time, Lani liked to handle things on her own rather than going to tell the people in charge. She'd think the girl was the same, but she wasn't handling it by herself at all. Instead, she just ran over to people she thought were easier to manipulate. And since Rowan wasn't too thrilled, but keep thing since, Lani figured she would do the same. Helping out was what heroes were supposed to do. "Buy us lunch and we'll look into it." She said. If they could still get something out of it then this wouldn't be all loss. And if the girl was just some person trying to waste their time, this would scare them off as well. It was easy to see the girl's reaction to Lani's proposal wasn't a positive one. She was taken aback by it and even thought for a moment before speaking again.
"Okay, deal!" She said. If pleasantries didn't work, a deal was good enough for her. She seemed visibly excited and happy over this, so there was that. "I know exactly where he is right now too!" She added as she waved them on to follow her. Lani looked over at Rowan and shrugged her shoulders. "We can make this quick. If it's nothing obvious we can just leave her." She suggested, making sure to speak loudly enough so that the girl could hear her. In all essence, Lani was telling her to make sure this was worth their time or they would just abandon her. "I'm Lani by the way." She added, speaking up about the girl's lack of introduction. "Ohh! I'm Natsume." And just like that, they were off. They didn't have to go far either. It was as if she spotted the boy and tried to find someone that could help close by. And the closest thing to the boy's location was UA.
Where was he? In an arcade. He was in there hanging out and playing some games. It was loud and colorful inside, but nothing out of the ordinary. Compared to back home where Lani was from it was different for sure. Arcades went out of style a long time ago except int he cases of amusement parks and fairs. Natsume brought the two girls inside and started the peer into the darkness. Stepping between the building and the outside was a heavy contrast and all three of their eyes were going to have to take a few moments to adjust to the change. What a pain that was. "I know he's in there, just give me a moment." She girl said desperately. She was in a rush, not just because the boy might have left, but also because she knew that she was dealing with two impatient students and didn't want to lose the hook she had in them. However, they were free to glance around on their own while Natsume searched. ulla

| ◀ | The heart is a heavy burden ❤ There were so many reasons why Lady did not like how this went. The girl reminded her of a snob, of some of the girls that she met when she was a child and homeschooled. The children of her father's colleagues, ridiculous, always clinging to their daddy while Rowan could not. Her hands would burn, she would hurt them, well maybe this girl, Natsume, even if she did not look familiar, was one of them. She would not mind to burn her again, but she simply held the wrist of her hands together behind her back, only not in front of Lani. She had a game to play anyway, she had a mask to show and even if she showed that she was annoyed, she only dared because Lani showed it as well. She smiled at the idea that Lani said the girl should buy them lunch, she definitely did not need the money but it would be a fun perspective to see if the girl would accept. For a second, Lady thought that the girl would say no and walk past them to the school to find someone else that was going out at this time, too bad for her, no one was around when they met up only minutes before.
Surprisingly, Natsume said they had a deal. Lady only wondered what went through her mind."Sounds like a plan, I hate to admit that she sparked my interest," She only told Lani, not speaking loud enough for the girl to hear her as Lani had done, albeit in her mind that only made her wonder what Rowan would have replied. She watched how Natsume introduced herself, "Rowan." All she said, there was no need to be fancy.
She followed, slightly annoyed with it when she realized where they were going. The arcade? Really? How the hell did she want them to prove what the boy had done, beat him up? She did not say anything and when the girl stumbled on the words to say he must be here, she simply shrugged and looked at Lani shortly before wandering around. She had never been to an arcade, it sounded stupid and for kids but to be honest, they were interested."I really wonder how she wants us to get him to say it, beat him up?" She decided to ask her question out loud to Lani, maybe the other girl had a better approach.

these rapid eyes will keep on moving Lani looked over to Rowan and shrugged her shoulders. She didn't know how civilians viewed heroes, but if this girl just saw them as brutes, Lani would be disappointed. Admittedly, Lani's view of heroism was a little more idealistic, but she did her best to do what was right. Just beating up some random person wasn't that kind of thing. That was something her mother would do. "I don't know. Is the guy even here?" She questioned, looking in the direction of Natsume. The girl had run off into the darkness of the arcade to search for the boy she was complaining about and was trying to finger for the burning of her belongings. She moved through the crowded area and did her best to spot the boy. But even if she did, find him, why would he just come back with her? It was a weird thing altogether.
It took her a few minutes. A few very impatient minutes. Lani was on the verge of suggesting they just leave when Natsume burst from the darkness of the arcade with a boy her age in tow. He looked confused. His eyes squinted and he covered them to block direct sunlight from bothering him. His eyes caught sight of Rowan and Lani pretty quickly because they stood out compared to everyone else that seemed to be more focused on the arcade itself. "What's this?" He questioned, looking down to Natsume expectantly. She moved behind him and pushed the boy forward toward the girls. "Him! He did it" She called out without any proof at all. "Wha-?" The boy spoke up, confused about what he was being dragged into now. Lani raised a brow and bent her body slightly to the side. She looked around the boy at Natsume and motioned her hand toward him. "And..." It was clear that the Lani wanted more than just a target. Just thrusting the boy forward didn't really mean much. The girl motioned back at the boy with both her hands. "Do the thing! The hero thing! Make justice or whatever." She demanded, expecting some kind of miracle to just happen and solve the problem.
It was pretty clear the girl had no idea what to do at all. Lani had to hold back from chuckling at her request and just smiled and shook her head. "She's accusing you of burning some stuff dude." She said, figuring cluing the guy in on what was going on would help him out with his confusion. The boy rubbed the back of his head and sighed. It was as if he had dealt with this before. "Are you serious?" He started, turning around to face the girl. "I told you not to pick up that damn thing! Why are you still blaming this on me?" It seemed there was more to this than just a baseless accusation. "You just wanted to take it! Give it back!" The girl yelled, looking over at Rowan and Lani expecting them to back her up even though they had just met. it was completely unreasonable. But there were still questions to be asked and with more information the gathered, more interesting things would be revealed. ulla

| ◀ | The heart is a heavy burden ❤ Lani brought up an even better question, was that guy even here. She did not understand half of what was going on and she wasn't even sure if she liked it. Even if Lady was not opposed of beating up someone, she was opposed of giving her cover away, so she would not do that and that made her wonder, what did the girl want, even the girl herself wasn't a hundred per cent sure if this guy had done it but she was sure. Must be a bully, now Rowan her statue or well her body language wasn't that impressive to say something and suddenly have a guy confess that way. Maybe Lani could do that but she doubt that it worked anyway. She crossed her arms in front of her and simply let her eyes scan the arcade. This was taking awfully long.
Suddenly Natsume came back with indeed a boy. So he was here but he seemed to not understand what this was all about. She had expected some smug guy who would absolutely not come with Natsume which only made her frown more and look the two of them up and down. What a way to convince them, by pushing him towards them. It got even worse as Lani thank god took the time to simply ask what the girl wanted, albeit so simple that Rowan could smile about the way she handled thing. "The hero thing?" She was kidding right, she really thought there was just a button on their bodies, outfits, in thin air that they could click on and just get justice going on? Really, was she that daft?
"Wowa pick up what thing? There is more to this story than burning things, apparently, I mean burned stuff can't be just given back." Her eyes switched from the boy to the girl, for some reason she thought the boy was a more reliable source for information now. "Boy, you mind informing us what happened." She gave a stern look to Natsume to not interrupt him in case he would talk, she shortly looked at Lani to see if she was just as confused as Rowan was. There was so much more going on, she did not want to show this authority face that she just used but she wanted an answer and just be done with it so she and Lani could go on to town and enjoy lunch and chitchat, even Lady was more up for that than anything else right now. She shook her head lightly and her eyes looked again from one to the other. This was going to take hours and she was too impatient for that. Maybe you could see, demanding information, as pushing on this justice button that Natsume wanted. |

these rapid eyes will keep on moving There was an obvious tension growing from all sides. The girl, Natsume, was irritated her demands weren't being meant. She was being nice and asking for help, but she expected it to be solved right away. That was what heroes did in her mind. They just popped up and solved the problem. They did what was right and did it heroicly. And for the girl, this was justice. The boy had burned her stuff after all! As for the boy, he was confused and flustered. He wasn't the bullying type. The fact that Natsume was able to push him around so easily made that obvious. He knew what the girl was talking about, but didn't know why she was bringing what he considered back up to the whole affair. Why were all these girls here for him? If it wasn't for the obvious disgruntled tone and look of them all, he'd think he was part of some kind of anime. And as for the heroes, they were having their time wasted. Teetering the edge of following through or just up and leaving. All in all, Lani was only hanging on because of a few things that stuck out in what happened so far. The fire and this certain object the boy and girl were arguing over. It reminded her of a certain beach fire she helped Sean put out a few days ago.
The boy rubbed his temples and shook his head, hoping to explain things before it got even more bothersome. "We found this thing. It was like a black egg." He explained. He moved his hands in front of him to express the relative size of it. Unlike a chicken egg, this measurement was about the size of an American football. "It was weird and kind of warm, so I told her to leave it." He turned to Natsume, looking a bit upset that she didn't listen to him and had the object. "I don't know why you were messing with that thing. And I don't know where it went." He explained, move to her than Rowan and Lani. From the sound of things, he didn't want anything to do with the item she was claiming that he took.
So why was she so adamant that he had it Something was still missing. And why did they encounter this weird thing together? It meant they knew each other as something more than just random schoolmates. Maybe there was something there. But that was up for Rowan to pick up on. As for Lani, she was more curious about the object. With the size and color, she was definitely sure she had seen it before. Her eyes widened a bit as it was brought up and she shook her head. "Hol-hold on. It felt like a piece of coal right?" She asked, looking a Natsume since it was obvious that she was the one that touched it. And just as Lani thought, the boy shrugged since he didn't know while Natsume nodded her head in agreement. "Yeah!" It seemed they had found the same weird object that Lani and Sean had found and it was related to fire once again. ulla

| ◀ | The heart is a heavy burden ❤ She started to dislike this Natsume more every second and she did not like to admit that. Lady was capable of ignoring a lot of idiocracy outside, only for the greater good of her goal and helping out Nick but at this point it took too much of her free time and having this bonding experience with Lani which made her very, very agitated. However, the fire user did not show it apart from the scowling look on her face. The hell was going on that the girl did not tell them, because she clearly was hiding things. Like she said before, burning things could not be restored and given back. Which had been her first questions since the girl wanted their help but she had no idea what it meant now and she stared at the two of them in front of her. She wanted to wave the boy away only for the sake of having him not be around when she would lecture Natsume.
A black egg? Rowan raised her eyebrow which changed the scowling look on her face into a sarcastic one. Seriously what kind of anime series did she got dumped in? Her eyes switched from the boy to Natsume as he more addressed her now, which made it also that she realized that Natsume lied about the whole school stuff burned, she just made assumptions. "Let me get this straight, Natsume-san, he did not burn your school things, you simply do not know where it went?" Oh boy, that lunch was going to be great...
She looked up surprised at Lani when it seemed her fellow student knew what they were talking about. "You have seen it?" She asked surprised because that meant it must be somewhere around, that was okay, the question was only what they would do next bout it, right? Would they be able to retrieve it, she still wanted to shake Natsume but that did not work anyway, it was not much her issue but at this point she could no longer walk away. |

these rapid eyes will keep on moving The girl was growing more frustrated as time went on. Things weren't going on how she planned at all. This was supposed to be over and done with right away with the heroes she saw int he sports festival. It was supposed to be solved by now. And then when Rowan questioned her about lying, Natsume felt even more insulted. She wouldn't go this far just to lie! She shook her head and even went as far as to stomp her foot into the ground. "No! They were definitely burned" She complained. "There were ashes and everyhing!" She added, giving a more apt description of what she found. There was definitely evidence of something burning. The ash and the smell were pretty unmistakable. She assumed the boy stolen the item and burned her things to get rid of the evidence. That was what she thought up in her head. See, Natsume wasn't the type to deal with a problem right away. And when she did, it was after she already built up a case in her head.
She pumped herself up with her own thoughts before revealing them, which made her more fervent than a normal person would be. It was a dangerous way of thinking and why this whole mess was what it was now. Meanwhile, the boy nodded to Lani's question, confirming her suspicions on what the weird item was. To bring it to a full circle, Lani looked to Rowan and nodded her head as well. "Yeah, I think I might have." She explained, much to the surprise of both the byo and Natsume. They figured they found something interesting and unique. And while the boy wanted nothing to do with it, Natsume felt like she wanted to keep it around. "Sean and I found something like that on the beach. At the site of a fire." As Lani spoke the last part, the girl's eyes widened a bit. Just like her belongings, Lani had found the item near a fire. Did the weird object really have something to do with it? She instantly shook the thought out of her head. How could she be wrong! She thought about it over and over to herself in her head, so Natsume felt she couldn't possibly be wrong.
"W-what happened to it?" The boy asked, curious about what kind of odd thing they had found. "Well, I figured it was the reason for the fire, so I gave it to the police. I don't know after that." It was still a mystery for Lani. But it did shed light on to what happened to the girl's stuff and how the boy wasn't actually responsible for it. The real question was where the object now. It wouldn't just move on its own after all. "Where did you two find it at?" Lani asked to follow up. The boy looked over at Natsume and she was still upset. This wasn't going the way she wanted it at all. But if what Lani was thinking was true, the thing could start another fire. And someone needed to smack some sense into the bothersome girl before that happened. ulla
