It was Emi that took on the role of leader, and the Korean wasn't sure she could be more impressed by the vlogger up until that point. With how much she already admired her, being placed in the same group as her was both terrifying and exciting. There was so much pressure to perform well in front of her idol, but Hye-Rin couldn't even begin to imagine how much the pinkette was currently feeling. Stepping up to lead a group of hero-wannabes was no small feat, and the flower pot took it upon herself to cheer for her the entire time,"Emi-chan, you're so cool~!" The Korean would beam a smile at the girl, trying her best to calm the nerves that she might have. Hye-Rin was empathetic, after all, and she wouldn't be able to bare if someone's struggles went unnoticed and untreated.
Though the walking bouquet was taken aback by the language that Emi used at the end of her long-winded plan, Hye-Rin would nod nonetheless. The splitting up plan sounded good, if the team was as individually gifted as it sounded, and she was quick to volunteer herself to be the only boy's partner,"I'll go with you, Momo-chan!" The Korean must have seemed like quite the underdog- the only Support Studies student amongst the real heroes. However, underestimating her might be the enemies biggest mistakes. Even if the opponents were her friends outside of the exercise, she wouldn't hold back!
Momonji was already heading towards Point A without stretching, so Hye-Rin had to improvise as she met his pace,"What's our plan, Momo-chan?" She'd make sure to stretch her arms, bending one over her head as she spoke,"Listen, the black-haired girl is named Arisu-chan. She can make cool fire, so watch out! A-And as for white-haired Vice-President-kun... I think he does some sort of heal-y thing, like me! But no flowers!" The Korean would try her best to fill her partner in, making sure the two didn't go in entirely lost. Sadly, that was the only information she had on the enemy team. The other three were completely unknown to her, and they'd just have to wing it like Emi said.
Going in without a plan was a pretty solid plan, it seemed.

Their final team member looked and sounded like a hero. Albeit, the kid hero on a team of adults, but a hero nonetheless. It was no small relief to Emi to hear that her partners were confident (enough), taking the event seriously and ready to help however they could. Improvising being inspiring wasn’t one of Emi’s strong suits, so knowing that she didn’t have to lift anybody’s spirits meant one less thing to worry about. It was more than she could say for the other team, she thought, remembering how Chikako had broken down days before.
“Great to hear. And nice to meet you, Fan-san. I’m glad you’ve studied up on Japanese. That’ll make this a lot easier.” No. Be brief, she reminded herself, and stay focused. “You can’t cocoon anybody with you? That would’ve been helpful in a pinch… But being able to fly innocents out of danger should work just as well. Alright. Fan-san, we’re counting on you to be in charge of extraction if things get rough. Momo-san, Shiko-chan, it sounds like you can both keep our targets close to you and out of danger, so if there’s a lot of them, I hope you can help. Hye-Rin, you ever played an RPG? I don’t think the other team has a real healer-“ Hopefully they weren’t being recorded, and Haruto wouldn’t hear that. “So you could really make or break things for us with your quirk!” She paused, eyeing the girl up and down. “Help out where you can, but make sure you don’t tired out before you use it.”
Part of her wanted to tell the girl to stay out of a fight, if it came to that. ‘Self-defence’ implied that she had no desire to get her hands dirty, which wasn’t too surprising. The girl was… precious, with her boundless enthusiasm and a spring in her step. Far from the kind of person she watched to see take a right hook to the face. But to outright deny the girl the choice would be overprotective at best, and demeaning at worst. She was just as much of a student as the rest of them, which meant that she could make the decision for herself. Still, her gaze lingered on the flower girl a little longer than the others, a faint smile making itself known.
“Me? I think I can do a decent job of defending us, but I’ll probably get overwhelmed fast if they all come at us, so either get the civilians out of the way quickly or give me a hand. No problems, right? Then let’s get to it.”
Point A, then. She picked up the pace, following behind half her team. Running wasn’t going to stop her from talking, though – not when there was intelligence to deliver! Building off Hye-Rin’s words, she shared her own- “Quick tips. Enemy team. Arisu, blue-haired girl. Makes some sort of anti-fire from her hands that absorbs energy. She’ll drain you fast if she can get them on you. Haruto, white-haired boy. Absorbed toxins into his body and converts it into some black liquid he can control. I think both of them are close-ranged fighters.” Some would say that Emi was overly focused on the possibility of a fight, and they would be half right. She’d been in a few rescue scenarios in and outside of class, and there was no greater lesson learned from them than ‘you never know what you’re heading into’. Point A could be flooded with lava, or swarmed with bees, or plagued with a dangerously bad singer that didn’t know how to take a hint. Point being, they couldn’t know what to expect. But the enemy team? If there was one thing Alexander Deraine had taught her, it was that every element of an exercise was there for a reason. Two teams wouldn’t be running the course together if they weren’t expected to run into each other. In other words, meeting them was one of the only certainties in their adventure… So she was going to make sure her team was as prepared as possible.
It helped a lot that she had arranged for the rescue course’s participants to meet up mere days before. At the time, there’d been the chance that they’d have to work together for a common goal, but she had no doubt that one of the three on the other team would repurpose that information to help themselves. Heck, she would have shared the intel even if she thought they wouldn’t. Knowledge was power, and keeping that knowledge from her teammates could only hurt them. “Chikako, brown-haired girl.” Not the best identifier, so she added: “Really slim. Summons some sort of big flying demon to fight with her, but last I checked, she can’t control it. Needs to be ‘in danger’ to use her quirk – we can probably use that to our advantage.” In other words, she couldn’t land the first hit on them… Or any hit, until they tried to attack her. At least, that was how she understood it. She’d either have to jump in the way of one of their quirks or endure friendly fire just to get started. All the better for Blue Team.
Their destination was getting close. Less time for talking, more for action. “Alright, Fan-san, lets see you put those wings to work! Can you scout the area and tell us what’s up? Try and make sure there aren’t any civilians that are hard to miss!” She’d claimed to be fast, which meant there was nobody better to survey their first challenge. To summarize: • Emi assigns loose roles to the team – Fan on extraction, with Shiko and Momonji assisting if necessary, and Hye-Rin being Hye-Rin. She declares herself as their defender. • She heads towards Point A. • She provides her team with information on Arisu, Chikako and Haruto’s quirks. (Chikako’s ‘brown hair’ is based on the description in her application). • She asks Fan to fly ahead and give them intel on Point A.Loadout: Quirk (Salt Manipulation) – D; Sharpshooter (Marksmanship) - F ; Angel’s Wings (Flight/Mobility) - E |

The girl was almost paralyzed. She did not expect any follow up questions in regards to her quirk. Did she mess up the explanation? Was it her Japanese? She mostly learned the language from various Japanese media and then lessons once she knew she'd be going to Japan for the sports festival. She had put a lot of effort into learning it in order to not inconvenience her teammates, but maybe she was inconveniencing them more by trying to speak a language she wasn't fluent at? Amanda remained silent for several seconds as the panic slowly began to set in. After several seconds the girl manage to blurt out a couple more sentences. "No uhm... I... I can affect adrenaline levels. T-That's what I meant when I said I could give you a boost or calm people down..."
Amanda tried to not stand out too much as the other discussed their plan. Splitting up seemed... dangerous? Complicated? A lot of words came to mind and Amanda wasn't making herself more confident by thinking about any of them. She wasn't going to protest of course, she was the exchange student there and surely they knew better as classmates what worked and what didn't work. So the girl simply ended up nodding along as Haruto explained his plan for the group.
Regardless of how the team split up, at the B site they'd find a ruin. Though builds used to be there once, they had mostly been leveled. Buildings were sunken into the ground. Not a single one was whole, all were half open husks with rubble all around. In fact not a single one of the buildings could be entered trough a conventional entrance. They would have to be scaled and entered trough a window, or more likely a gap left by a collapsed wall. The challenge here would be actually finding the dummies buried under rubble and hidden away in half-collapsed infrastructure. Adding to the challenge was the fact that occasional artificial tremors still shook the area, not only further rearranging the terrain but also causing a rain of debris from time to time.
When it came to the C area most of its buildings were actually intact. That did not however mean that they were pleasant. The buildings had been filled with containers holding various chemicals, before they were systematically damaged, causing the chemicals to partially flood the building complex. Most rooms had some sort of hazard in them, more often than not it was some form of acid. However participants would also have to look out for clouds of dangerous fumes accumulated in sealed off rooms as well as exposed electrical wiring, left behind after the chemical flood. Here the dummies would be easier to find, but the hazards facing everyone were considerably more dangerous and direct. The team could also expect power outages to occasionally take away their sight.
Whichever area they picked first, a challenge awaited them.
___
And just like that they got moving. Fan was more than happy about this. Introductions could always get a bit awkward so the fact that this was over quickly suited her just fine. Besides, the sooner they got to the action the better. In a way, being sent ahead to scout was doubly the blessing. "You got it boss!" she replied to Emi, giving her a small salute before spreading her petite wings. The Chinese girl bee-lined it towards Point A. Although Fan was as excitable as can be, what she saw as her destination came into view intimidated her a bit. It was a small building complex, certainly nothing out of the ordinary. What was out of the ordinary however was the state it was is.
The whole complex was at least halfway underwater from what she could tell. It was situated right next to the sea, and sure enough the place was practically submerged. If they had to go in there to get to the rescue targets she was going to be nigh useless... she couldn't get her wings soaked, especially not with salt water. Somewhat more alarming was the fact that the sea wasn't apparently done with the buildings either. Almost rhythmically, waves crashed against the building. At first Fan thought it might have been a natural occurrence, but she quickly noticed something out of the ordinary. She could practically count the interval between the waves and not only that but they seemed to build in intensity starting out fairy small and then growing all the way that they could actually reach parts of the building that had not been submerged. Yeah... this was probably done on purpose and was part of the exercise.
Fan flew back and informed her advancing team of what she saw. "Yeah, we got two connected buildings. By the looks of it I'd say they' two stories high but... about half of that is underwater. I can try and get in from the roof or trough a window, but I don't think I'll be able to reach the ground floor. Sorry."
Point D was perhaps the polar opposite of what was going on at A. Where water had claimed the area they were currently at, the second one was confused by flame. Or rather it was in the process of being consumed. The building was constructed so that it wouldn't simply burn down of course, not all on its own at least, so the fire served more as an obstacle than a timer right now. Of course there was the fire and heat to worry about, but also smoke inhalation, the loss of fight due to dense smoke walls and even potential explosions depending on where the fire spread.
Team blue would be dealing with hell and high water it seemed.
____
Okay there we go! Areas have been introduced and the teams should get to rescuing. A small note for team red here since the split up plan was chose, please make sure to sort it quickly (even OOCly if need be) so that you can get to your areas right away as the rounds starts since otherwise you'll be falling behind.
Well, now you know what the hazards are, so good luck dealing with them!

"Adrenaline? Oh, that sounds useful! Glad to have you on board, Chevrolet-san." It was as she said, it was something that could be used to calm down civilians, or to give teammates a temporary boost if necessary. Though, the former perhaps not so well, as he wasn't sure if the UA dummies were sophisticated enough to respond to adrenaline injections... But that was a concern for later. "What skills do you have outside of your quirk?" Haruto asked casually, as the foreign girl and Kaito were the only two who had not offered that information so far... And Kaito did not seem interested in talking, so Haruto was happy to oblige. Besides, it seemed Arisu was working on opening him up, and too many cooks spoiled the broth!
Kaito took off without a word as soon as Haruto finished speaking. Seeing that he was headed towards the nearer area C, as Haruto suggested, Haruto gave a wry chuckle. Kaito was a man of few words, to be sure, but his actions spoke loud enough for themselves- There was simply no time to be wasting around here! "Thank you for hearing me out. Kaito's right, though- We don't have too much time to chatter! Let's go! We can iron out any details on the way." The boy was happy to see that his teammates were convinced by his plan. He hadn't been sure how they would take it- Especially as he was by no means a commonly accepted leader by his teammates.
As they moved towards rescue point C, Haruto's unfortunate lack of core strength would inevitably lead to him falling behind the rest of his team. The boy grimaced as he felt a familiar shortness of breath- Kirk's best efforts hadn't prepared him for this. Still, the boy clenched his fists and kept running, not wanting his own shortcomings to hold back his teammates. While he would likely be at the back of the party, he was still close enough to talk as they moved. "We don't know what exactly we'll come across, so we'll need to be careful. It won't be funny if the rescuers become the ones in need of rescue, after all."
Fortunately for the boy's lacking stamina, rescue area C truly was not too far away, and the boy arrived with no problems besides a mild shortness of breath. As the team would approach the building, a familiar tingling on his skin would cause the boy's eyes to widen- "WAIT!" The boy would shout, with perhaps more force than necessary. Hopefully his classmates heard him. "There's, something. In the air. Toxic. And it's getting worse the closer we get to that building. Whatever's in there, it's not good for us. Let me go first- My quirk's practically made for this."
Regardless of whether his team believed him, Haruto would walk up to the entrance of the first building. The closer he got, the greater the tingling feeling- The more active his impurities became. He was definitely not mistaken- Whatever was going on, it was coming from the building. "Chemical spill?" Haruto mused aloud as he pushed open the door.
Instantly the tingling sensation amplified, leading the boy to let out a gasp of pain. A gust of toxic air flowed through the doorway, only to be sucked into the white-haired boy. Looking closely, one may even be able to see the fumes as they poured into the pores on the boy's body. "Don't stray too far from me, if you can help it- My quirk will purify the air, protecting people near me. Treat me like the canary in the coal mine- If things start looking bad for me, we need to get out, fast." Haruto knew that this could get dangerous for him quickly- Unable to turn off his quirk, if he were to fall into a vat of anything especially noxious, he would likely overload instantly. And nobody knew how potent the cocktail of chemicals flooding the floor were.
There was only one way to find out. Tentatively, Haruto would step inside- Ready to pull back if necessary. At the entrance, the floor was not as flooded as other areas of the complex- But even so, there were still puddles of chemicals on the floor. Haruto stooped down and touched it, his quirk immediately drawing the entire puddle into his body. He winced at the sudden change, but nodded. "Alright, let's keep moving." He would say, waving the team forward- While the chemicals were bad, it wasn't so much that he felt the need to find a better entry route.
"Alright, so, remember the plan. Our first step is to find any civilians, and get them out of immediate danger- In this case, that seems like it'll mostly be from these chemicals laying around, but I doubt that's all of it. And be careful- It's not uncommon for chemicals to vaporize when mixed like this- We could walk into clouds of poisonous gas without even realizing it's there. But, all things considered, I'd be willing to bet that that's also where we'll find the civilians- Wouldn't be much of a challenge if they left them in the easy spots, now would it?"
The flickering lights reminded him altogether too much of that basement at the Semper Fi camp, but Haruto dismissed these feelings. This was the school, there was no way the teachers would let anything too serious happen to them. As long as he didn't do anything blatantly stupid, things would go well. Unfortunately, because I'm going to need to keep my toxin levels as low as possible for now, I won't be able to control a significant number of my impurity cells. For now, just treat me as a walking air filter- If you start to feel sick, just find me and I'll clean you out. If everyone's on the same page, then we've got no time to lose!"
Of course, not everyone was on the same page. Namely, Kaito, who Haruto had never caught sight of since his initial bounding leap away from the starting point. The white-haired boy knew that he had come to this area, but did not know where he had found himself. However, for the boy to act on his own showed a strong level of self-confidence, so Haruto had no reason to suspect he would come to any harm, even without Haruto's help.
Without further ado, Haruto made his way down the entrance hallway to the first door, showing especial care in his movement- Although the chemical was weak enough for him to manage, with an entire facility full of it, the more capably he managed the amount of impurities in his system, the more effective he would be as a whole. With that thought in mind, the boy would enter the first door on the left, and scan the room for the dummies they were to rescue.
Haruto's Abilities:
Quirk: Purification - Removal of toxins, bacteria, etc. D rank.
Mundane Abilities: Cooking Club President - Cooking. D rank.
Abilities: First Aid - Healing. F-rank.
Impure Being - Able to manipulate the black blood cells generated by Purification to supplement strength. E rank.
Impure Guard - Durability of said black blood cells. F-rank
Post Summary: Haruto is enthusiastic about Amanda's quirk's capabilities, and asks her what her other abilities she has Haruto mistakes Kaito for being a man of few words, but agrees- There is no time to lose, and follows his team to the first rescue area. Haruto's physical deficiencies show, but he manages to keep up. As the team approaches, Haruto says to stop- Because of his quirk, he can tell that the building is full of toxic fumes before even entering. Asks team to not go too far away from him, as his quirk will be purifying the air. Volunteers self as a "canary" to take the lead- If he starts to look bad, it means the fumes are too strong and they need to get out asap. Reminds team of the plan and warns about potential dangers as he enters the building, testing the potential of the chemical puddles nearby. Opens first door on the left to look for civilian dummies.

--- arisu --- - - - Chikako's idea of using her shield's hookform to retrieve the dummy from beyond the acid puddles seemed sound enough to Arisu, and she nodded, trying to be supportive- but her mind was busy, extremely, trying to catalogue what each could do and how each of them might need to slate out their skills over the extent of the competition. Truth told, she was caught up enough in her own internal calculations and machinations that she didn't fully grasp Chikako's upset until Amanda was already trying to mend it. Once alerted, though, she offered Chikako a more reassuring, more affirmed smile, meant to help Amanda set her mind at ease. "With those skills, Chevrolet-san, taking charge of transporting a dummy might be an excellent option. Let's get like- a triage section by the entrance, with the rescued dummies, since we'd need to go past that to get out anyway, and they'll be easily accessible even if we are forced out some other path."That said, she moved with Haruto to keep investigating, and in short order found the tangled labyrinth of toppled shelving and dripping acid. "As long as you're here, Haruto... let's try something. This could be really useful, or really bad, and having you here will tell us which the quickest. I'll try to keep the possibility minimal but notable- can you let me know if any toxic or caustic vapor is created?" Arisu created a sphere of flames the size of a golf ball and started to move her hands dramatically, slowly coaxing the fire over to drop into a puddle of acid, flattening her hands to engulf the small puddle all at once. One of two things would happen- either it'd reduce the puddle to harmless dust and neutral gases, or it'd release a small poof of nastiness, one that Haruto could hopefully detect without straining himself too much. If Antipyre proved effective enough to neutralize the acid, Arisu's plan was to use the flames to consume the acid in the containers before recommending that one of the other girls navigate the room with their help, using her flames to work with Haruto's black blood to get whoever went in through safely. If she couldn't denature those toxins, though, she was willing to go in herself- unless Chikako or Amanda wanted to run that gauntlet, it was about anyone's guess who'd be best equipped. Once that room was resolved, one way or the other, and the group had a chance to move on and view the dummy beyond the crumbling holes, exposed electrical wiring, and acid pools along the floor, Arisu lit up a little. "Hey! Hold up here a moment. I can get to the dummy and back, I'm sure of it. We can usher it back to the entrance and check for any more dummies. I'll be right back," she said, checking the belt on her trenchcoat, knotting it quickly at both ends to ensure it stayed right where it was. That done, she started to plot a path from safe spot to safe spot, taking possible conductivity on the ground into account and being careful to clear her routes of obstructions by scorching down any dangling power cords or such dangers from overhead, to ensure she could jet from landing zone to landing zone safely. Ideally, no landing zone would be conductive at all, but before she landed each time, she'd send a curl of Antipyre to choke off any electrical shorts she could see, doing her best to make sure that she didn't become a new casualty out of sheer carelessness. If she could make it to the mannequin, the path back should be clear enough, and she'd do her best to return swiftly after picking up the dummy in a princess carry and securing it's arms around the back of her neck, using the belt to tie its arms together- a normal person could have held on, of course, and would have, but the dummy also wasn't going to treat her flames as harmless, and she really didn't want it to get exposed if she could help it. She took the return trip as swiftly as she could, getting a running start and leaping as well as rocketing flames from the underside of her arms to extend her jumps from landing pad to landing pad- presuming, of course, that nothing went wrong. If she made it back, she'd hand the dummy over to Amanda before bending over and planting her arms on her knees, panting and fighting to catch her breath- she'd pushed harder, maybe, than necessary, but she wanted to treat the scenario as realistically as she could, and had done everything she could think of to ensure that she didn't put the rescuee in any additional danger at all. -tries to support Chikako's clever idea with the hook, and suggests she try it -agrees that Amanda sounds well equipped to help transport the dummies, suggests storing them by the doors for safekeeping until they're ready to transport to the extraction site -works with Haruto to try to test if her flame's deconstructing features create neutral byproducts or noxious offput when applied to the acid in the labyrinth room. -Either works with Haruto to clear the acid and shelves from one of the other girl's paths to the dummy, OR volunteers to go herself if her flames can't break down the acids safely (will cede to let another girl go if she wants though) -in the third room, clears any overhead hazards between her and the dummy, then plots a path from safe, non-conductive, non-acid'd surfaces to the dummy -jets over to the dummy, picks it up princess carry, and ties its hands behind her neck to simulate it holding on to her -hurries back with a series of jet-powered hops on the way back, supplementing leaps with heavy bursts of Antipyre from the underside of her arms to avoid scorching the dummy on the way back, presuming nothing goes wrong -pants and catches her breath by Haruto afterwards, trying to recover some energy from that heavy exertion TAGS: WORD COUNT: 1028 TEMPLATE BY ELIZA @ BOTE & THQ

Chikako followed the group towards their destination, she acted along with them though for the most part, despite for most of what they were saying fell on deaf ears; quite literally with her 'half working' hearing. She just followed quietly seeing the fuming smoke coming out of the buildings; and it was colored so she was sure it was from a conventional fire if it was even a fire. Her stale face began to break a little bit, her heartbeat turned into a semi-automatic shotgun. She was hoping the rescue event would be safer then the combat events, but fire or even worse? How was this safer then fighting other classmates? She was wrong, horribly horribly wrong.
The scaredy-cat Chikako slowly forming, her 'cacoon' could only last so much pressure before it snapped. Her arm began to shake as they entered the building, moving closer to haruto. Her thumb pressed a button with a little difficulty on the shield, it released a mechanism that began to create very loud noises. The shield began to 'unfold' she was changing her shield into her hook form so she could hook it around dummies and swipe them towards her minalizing her exposure and distance inside the room that might have more 'added features then just some gas.
"Guys give...space...shield...hook", she said, a bit panicked trying to convey her thoughts. Already being anti-social as is, the pressure felt overbearing. "I...I can hook...my shield I mean forms a hook and I can hook them towards us", she said finnally taking a pause getting her thoughts outside her head. Funnily enough though, she sounded like she was practically a rattle snake with all the pearls and accessories around her body from all the shaking she was doing.

Chikako was following the squad and she saw the site with the fumes. Chikako cowardly side is showing and she is beginnng to panic from the danger that she is being exposed too. However, she is powering through enough to think to use her shields hook form to get as little exposure as possible.

Kaito pulled himself together and gave the area a nice look around. It seemed mostly intact from his high position, and there didn't seem to be any other students at the site yet. He wasn't stupid though, he didn't rush in. He examined the area intently as his classmates got closer.
He couldn't quite figure out the catch, but the smartybirtches slow boy figured it out for him. A toxic dump, he claimed. Kaito knew he wasn't exactly suited for dealing with that scenario so he mulled over his options.
“I could make it point B pretty quick.” He looked northward as he mumbled to himself. He'd be alone, and if anyone started a fight he wouldn't have a backup. But he sure didn't want to risk his ass in a toxic spill zone. He looked down and saw the rest of his classmates talking about whatever crap plan they came up with. He decided last second that it wasn't worth running off alone.
“I'll check the rooftops and second floors!” He called out to his team before starting into a sprint. Just before leaping from the edge of his roof he flung his arms out and caught the lip of another building. As he leaped off the building he retracted his arms and pulled shit himself up to the next roof, like a human slingshot.
He landed on the next roof willing, coming to a stop and quickly bringing himself back to his feet. None of the roofs he could see had dummies on them so he walked over to the front edge of the building and leaned over. Holding the edge of the roof and bracing himself he stretches out his midsection and lowered his top half to have a peek inside the top floor.
The top floor of the building looked empty and derelict, at least from his vantage at the window. That didn't mean that there wasn't a civilian inside somewhere though. He spooled himself back together on the roof and pondered his options for a moment. “Does toxic gas rise or fall?”

As he boldly strode in the direction of their destination, Momonji took a single cursory glance backwards to see if his rally action had struck true. Relief washed over him as he saw he was joined by some of the others, expressed though a long sigh. Ever the antisocial bug, Momonji was not sure how best to convey his intent without stepping on toes, sensitivity and tact were not his strong suit. Thankfully it seemed he would not be facing this task alone, as others were not only joining him, but formulating tactics and going over potential intel. Listening to the descriptions of some of their potential opponents, Momonji furrowed his brow slightly, it was a lot to take in. But as he listened to the breakdown of how their encounters with each student on the other side had resulted in an informational advantage on their own part, her realized the opposite held true as well. "While I'm still not keen on bracing myself for a fight between peers, all this intel means they probably know just as much about what you can do as well, be prepared for them to be prepared for us." Looking down at his own hand for a moment, he once again was shaken by the particularly creepy dream that had permeated his mind for the last several nights. Clenching his fist, he tried to banish the ill thoughts, now was not the time to get weirded out by his subconscious and REM patterns. Looking back toward the destination, it clicked in his head that his antisocial tendencies might actually work in his favor. He knew a couple people in his class may have picked up on the basics of his quirk, but he had yet to really open up and share with anyone at this school, until now that was. There was a pretty good chance he was a big unknown for the other team, which he might be able to use if the need came up. As they arrived at the target, Momonji cocked his head at the sunken nature of the area. Water was an... interesting choice of obstacle, especially since Momo wasn't what anyone would call a pro at swimming. He could tread water and cross a pool, but navigating something like this was a little beyond his skillset. Turning to address the team, he crossed his arms. "Ok... quick poll, who can swim and who doesn't work well with water? It would be bad if our rescue attempt turned into a rescue request." Rolling his shoulder he waited for Fan to return, listening to what intel she had gathered. "No worries Fan, we can keep you out of the water if it means you can keep to the air." Stretching out a bit the impulsive kid got ready. "I'd also be of better use out of the water, so I'm going to see what I can do from above, if someone could take care of those waves we might be able to prevent the situation from escalating any further. If anyone else needs a lift, give me a holler" And with that Momonji held out an arm toward the building, a spiked cable firing out of his arm into the sinking building. When (and if) it connected, he hastily retracted the winch in his arm as he vaulted himself toward the building, aiming to swing onto the roof to find some means of rooftop entry. If requested he would provide assistance pulling others up to him by anchoring himself with one cable and pulling the others up with another.
Summary: - Momo is glad to have company
- He may be a good surprise if they get into a fight
- Momo voices his idea, checking to see if anyone is bad with water
- Momo tries to make it to the roof, offering to pull up anyone else bold enough to join him.

In Hye-Rin's eyes, there was little that the saltmancer could do to look cooler in the Korean's eyes. Though, when the pinkette listed off the Quirks of the opposing team, she couldn't stop her jaw from dropping open,"Wah, Emi-chan, you're so knowledgeable!" The flower pot could barely remember what she ate the day before, let alone an entire team's Quirks!
Arisu's Quirk was mostly known to her, but the other two were up in the air up until that point. The potential of the vice president's Quirk was astounding, and she couldn't help but feel a bit of anxiety when it came to hearing Chikako's. A giant monster is something she was hardly excited to fight, especially when all she had at her disposal was some flowers and a measly martial art. As the group made their way towards Point A, the moth girl flew up to scout ahead for them.
The team had reached the waterlogged warehouse by the time she came back, giving them the intel they needed,"Thank you, Fan-chan! Keep dry, okay?" The cheerful Korean called up to their insect-like teammate, keeping the water in mind as she looked over the point with a face that looked much too focused. Momonji asked who could swim, in which Hye-Rin snapped out of her train of intense thought over the obstacle and raised her hand enthusiastically,"I can swim, so no need to worry about me, Momo-chan!" She smiled wide, nodding like a fool all the while. Though she wanted to show off her prowess in the water, the newly-acquired friend had other plans. Momonji would use his Quirk to latch onto the building, vaulting up with relative ease to make it to the roof,"Wah!" The Korean would stare up before waving up at the boy,"Give me a ride up, Momo-chan!" She'd smile, and would turn to Emi to whisper to her quickly,"Let's make Saito-kun proud, okay?" She'd give a thumbs up to the pinkette before taking hold of the black-haired boy's cable.

Shiko shot a glance to the Korean girl as they all continued along- and indeed she would keep along as she was not one to get left behind no matter how silent she could be on the matter. When Emi would announce her plans, Shiko would only nod silently and follow, her agreement implicit.
Maybe it was just some kind of overload, as this really was her first time being thrown into a situation like this. She was already worried that she was going the mess up somehow. Maybe she wasn't the only one, but out of all of them it seemed that she was the most silent. Even if she did have an idea, it would be Emi to voice that same decision within moments, and, so, Shiko wouldn't bother making her voice known for now. She wasn't in the business of butting heads for glory.
Another glance to the Korean girl and those flowers that kept growing on her face. If anything could be said about her, it was that her flowery personality definitely matched her looks. If Shiko was going to be honest, the way that Hye-Rin was trying to be everyone's hype-man... hype..man. Hype-woman was starting to grate on her nerves a little bit. Just a little bit.
The mention of water would be the first thing to give Shiko any bit of pause. "I...I can't swim at all. Water will make me pass out." Shiko's voice would fade out a bit towards the end of her sentence with the sudden realization that she was announcing that to whoever would be watching. Figuring that Momoji had heard her. Shiko looked to Momoji the moment that he had made his way on top of the building, and was about to say something when Hye Rin would suddenly announce that she wanted a ride up, despite being the one who offered to swim.
"Wait! Don't forget me!" She would cry out to Momoji. Hopefully he would send down another cable.

Okay. Just a flooded building, as reported by Fan. No big deal. Good, even. She fared surprisingly well underwater, and she had teammates to back her up. Between the five of them, they’d have the situation handled in no time… Right?
Wrong. As if the water had come straight from the sewers, the rest of her team fled the scene as soon as they got close. Before Emi had had the chance to make a plan, she had been left alone with Fan, who had no intentions of diving in. “Alright, thanks,” she muttered under her breath. “Good talk, team. Real diplomatic.” The lucky viewers at home got a lovely view of Emi’s deadpan, directed at the water in absence of any UA students.
For a few seconds, she was silent. Her eyes darted around – at the submerged story, the waves, the higher ground that her teammates had abandoned her for. “I don’t have the time or energy to go diving and stop the flooding myself. You guys can try and sort something out there, but more importantly, we need to secure an exit route. There’s probably going to be stairs near the entrance, but it’ll also be dark underwater. If there was some way to make sure I can’t miss it, that’d be great.”
With that, she was off, trusting the girl to relay her message to the others above. It didn’t take long for her feet to touch water, then her chest. The cold rushed to greet her – an unwelcome welcome, but not a surprise, considering how much time she’d spent on the beach. Besides, she had no time to dwell on the temperature – with no clear route and the clock ticking, she had to move quickly.
Fortunately, she could make a guess at where to go. A flooded complex was still a complex, and that meant it had to had a front door on the ground floor. She waded her way to a few feet in front of the building, took a deep breath, and dived beneath the waves. Her first goal was almost staring her in the face. A pair of glass doors, held open by the flood, as if it had been awaiting her. She would have smirked, if moving her mouth would have been a good idea. Instead, she swam through the doors to find…To summarize:- Emi got ditched.
- She told Fan to light up the stairs, so she could find her way to air faster.
- Emi dived under by herself and entered the building.

The situation seemed to be salvaged somewhat. Seeing that the additional explanation she provided had been enough to satisfy her teammates, Amanda relaxed a bit. She did not just relax, but she became more receptive to follow up questions as well. "Well, I'm pretty good at providing first aid I think. And uhm, well I'm really well accustomed to my own quirk. I don't really get exhausted by pure physical exercise and I can easily shrug off pain." she answered Haruto. "Umm... maybe I could carry our rescue targets, if no one else wants to do that I mean."
Once they arrived at the site, Amanda was practically ready to dive in. In fact she was getting a little excited now. But, before she could jump in head first into trouble Haruto warned her and the rest of the team. Of course there'd be hazards. One of the other girls seemed to react particularly badly to the revelation. Amanda reacted instinctively, without evening thinking she gently placed her hand on Chikako's shoulder and began lowering her adrenaline. It was only a moment later that she realized what she was doing and quickly withdrew her hand. "Uhm... sorry I didn't mean to... I just, uhm that's what my classmates usually expect from me..." she apologized, looking clearly embarrassed.
As luck would have it, the first door Haruto opened indeed had a dummy in it. It was situated in the corner of a mostly barren room, the only thing separating it from the students being a couple puddles of what appeared to be some sort of acidic liquid. Three more dummies could be found at the site.
One was further down the hall in the last room on the right, unlike the first dummy however this one would be far more difficult to reach. Several shelves with various acid containers had been knocked over, creating a labyrinth of metal shelves, as well as both pools of acid and dripping streams from on high. The additional two dummies would be found upstairs. One was in the main middle room of the floor, the hazards consisting of holes in the floor where the acid had eaten away at what once were fine wooden floor boards, exposed electrical wiring and the accumulated pools of acid. The final dummy was in what used to be a storage room. Much like on the floor below shelves of chemicals had been knocked over, but rather than simple pooling, the chemicals in question had reacted with one another, producing hazardous fumes which filled the room.
Reaching all four dummies was going to be a challenge.

Well, things were not off to a great start. Fan figured her aversion to water would be a bit of an issue, but as it turned out, the majority of her team did not take well to water. Fan couldn't help but let out a small sigh. She really didn't want to be this useless right out of the gate. Everyone else on the team was already making themselves busy, so much so that it only put even more pressure on the moth girl. She was going to turn to Emi for advice, but before she could even open her mouth, the girl gave her a couple instructions only to dive underwater a moment later.
"Great..." Fan said to herself as she looked around. She really had nothing on her that could work as a light source. Truth be told she wanted to go and get herself up onto the roof, but she was somewhat worried that that sort of eagerness and disregard for plans was gonna get one of her teammates killed. Emi specifically. Having nothing better to do the girl started looking around the entrance. Worst case scenario she'd dive in to help Emi if she had to, even if it meant ruining her wings for the rest of the rescue operation.
Emi would find a fairly standard layout consisting of two tangential hallways and several rooms on either side of each hallway. The second room of her right was missing a door and the first dummy could be found inside. Three more were within the building. One was at the very end of the hallway, situated in a room on the far left, the dummy was pinned under several pieces of furniture, meaning that it wouldn't be a simple matter of pulling the doll out. The third and fourth dummy would be found on the second floor, which was only partially submerged. One dummy was stuck in a corner room which was submerged, and the entrance to the room itself was blocked off. To gain access, someone would have to enter one of the neighboring rooms and pass to a small dark tunnel created by rubble.
The final dummy was in a seemingly easy to reach spot, clearly visible trough the thick glass panel of the door. However, the room was completely filled with water, and was fitted with a heavy airtight door. Breaching the room to get to that dummy would unleash a high pressured torrent of water into the otherwise non-submerged second floor hallway.

Haruto would reveal a beaming smile as their foreign partner began to open up, even a little more. "Alright! That's great! I have a feeling we'll be counting on you a lot today!" All of the skills Amanda had described would be in high demand- Patching injured dummies with first aid techniques, and carrying them was also very important! Being able to work tirelessly seemed less important, but not knowing how many dummies were trapped meant that they might be working for a while. Especially compared to the physically deficient Haruto, she would be much more useful.
At least, if it weren't for the nature of the first trial. The sheer suitability for Haruto's quirk made him wonder briefly if the school had pulled some strings for him- But he quickly discarded the thought. Of all the students, why would he be the one given a special advantage? It was surely just luck- Of the best kind!
In response to the conditions, Arisu suggested changing their plans- Haruto couldn't help but agree. "Yes, you're right." While others may feel the need to defend their plan, especially if leadership was one of the grading criteria, Haruto was by no means so close-minded! The fact was, Arisu was right- He couldn't possibly be a part of any advance team, as without him, the deeper areas of this site would remain out of reach. Still, remembering the last rescue exercise he had been a part of, time was of the essence! While they scoured this area, dummies could be 'dying' at the other site.
However, his teammates had fair points. If he was concerned, he just needed to work harder, so they could clear this spot quickly!
However, before that, he had a teammate to take care of. During the rescue team meetup that morning, he had been so distracted by the growing arguments that he had missed Chikako's problems. Being given a second chance to make up for his mistake, Haruto would never miss how she was feeling this time! "Don't worry, the fumes aren't that strong where we are- Even if I wasn't here, I think you guys would be fine, probably. They wouldn't make an impossible obstacle, after all. However, my quirk will make it much easier to progress, and safer too!" He also smiled at Amanda, seeing her touch Chikako and understanding what she was doing. "Don't worry, Chevrolet-san. We appreciate the help." Whether or not the others actually agreed remained to be seen- But Haruto, at least, had no doubt that Amanda was trying to help. Since it was her quirk, if she thought it would be effective, Haruto would be on her side!
Meanwhile, Kaito, as usual, moved on ahead on his own. However, considering this was the most he'd said since the start of the event, Haruto could only smile- Misunderstanding it as Kaito opening up to them. "Remember to find me if you feel ill!" Haruto called after, though the other boy was long gone.
As for Chikako's suggestion, Haruto nodded to her. "I see. I can see that working- Well, it'll depend on the situation the dummy is in when we find it, but I'll be counting on you when the time comes!"
Haruto was surprised to see a dummy in the first room- Or perhaps there was one in each room? In any case, this one didn't seem to be especially dangerous to retrieve, but taking precautions was always wise. "Looks like that time came pretty quickly! Chikako, think you can take care of this one?" Chikako's hook would work perfectly for lifting the mannequin over the puddles that trapped it. He briefly considered reminding her to treat the dummy with care- As though she were picking up an injured person... But the eternal optimist never doubted for a second that she already knew, and would feel patronized by him feeling the need to remind her.
"Could you take him outside, and then meet back up with us?" Haruto asked- They didn't have time to waste, and needed to find what other dummies were in this building with haste. While the group needed to stay near Haruto for safety, Arisu was right- The best thing to do was to spread out, at least a little. "Disukodo-san is right, guys- Just please, don't stray too far! While saving the mannequins is important, you can't save anyone if you're the one in need of rescue!" Haruto couldn't help but remember the last time he had seen someone take the full brunt of a poison cloud- The man had died before he could do anything. While he doubted the toxins would be as deadly, a small voice at the back of his mind told him to be ready for the worst.
Haruto would continue making his way down the hall. The first door he opened proved his suspicions wrong- It was quite clearly empty. Fortunately, the facility was relatively intact, meaning that they didn't have to clear rubble only to find that there was never anyone trapped in the first place. This rule relatively held true, with very little effort needed to ascertain whether or not a room held a dummy, until the group reached the last door on the right- A room filled with fallen shelves and dripping acid. Haruto's face twisted. "Somehow, I have a feeling, there's definitely something in here."
Having had to deal with more than a few rooms filled with gasses along the way, Haruto's blood was more than inundated with impurities. The white-haired youth would raise his hands, directing the black blood to flow over his arms, and even further- As the white-haired youth approached the fallen shelves, he would use his quirk to lift shelves, temporarily clearing a path to move through, as his team worked to reach the second of the downstairs dummies.

Chikako was met with a blast of hormones that seemed a little calming to her, where she got these from was unbeknownst of her, into the foreign girl announced that it was her doing. She nodded at the girl and looked away. "Tshank you", Chikako said to the foreign girl before she recollected herself and began to listen to the others again. She heard with the Shimazu the 'Poison Absorber' guy was saying and nodded towards him. She did not speak towards anyone, however, after the thank you that she gave and just proceeded to silently move about.
The site was not so difficult, to her own surprise, and gave her enough leeway were she could just jump across the small puddles and in the last few puddles used her hook to get the mannequin with minimal risks of going through the rest of the puddles. This not only minimalized the risk of the mannequin but for her herself, as the acid would eat her alive if she let it. She safely moved around the puddles before getting to the group and letting the mannequin down right besides Shimazu. "there..", she said to the group and looked down the hallway "I will escort the mannequin outside and wait outside, that way the injured victim is out of the situation and has someone to actively monitor for any changes in their health. Bring any victims outside with me, I feel like it will be best this way. ", she said as she grabbed the mannequin and went to go outside. She soon got to the outside and placed the mannequin down gently before sitting closely next to it.
Overview: She rescued the mannequin and retreated, she offered to basically be the temporary 'on-field' doctor and protector.
