Miku was in the locker room, waiting to be called out. She was focused, deadly focused and set on beating Yojin. Miku wore her standard UA gym outfit, but with not just 1, but 2 fanny packs around her waist. One which had various 'ammunition' in the form of plant seeds, and the other was a disposable, as it just had what people would call dirt. To Miku every grain of that dirt was much precious fertile soil to combat the hellish stone terrain. If anyone would see Miku now in her locker room, they would get an opposite feel to her usual shy and cheery self. Now the aura that would surround her was dread, bloodlust and seriousness, as if someone flipped a switch in her head. Thats how different she was. Where someone would usually be nervous and jittery, trying to pump themselves up with music or something, Miku was just sitting there, eeriely calm. Once her time came, a school official opened the door to escort her out. Miku just looked at the person and smiled. It was an unsettling smile, somewhere between creepy and slasher smile. She got up and followed the person. Her mentality completely changed, to a more villainous one... to a mentality her dad would go by. Dread and intimidation. Terror tactics. While Miku couldnt match G's level of violence, bloodlust and villainous aura of doom to cripple a foe with fear and dread; someone who got used to seeing Miku all cutesy, shy and non violent, it would surely unsettle them at how stone cold her expression was. She then arrived at the arena, and saw her prey. Yojin Hino. Yes, thats how different Miku was at this moment. Yojin wasnt her foe, her opponent. No. He was her prey. Prey. That was the only thing here. People? Crowd? What was that? This was their intimate time. Miku just smiled when she saw Yojin entering the arena, now donning a full slasher smile. She was ready to dismantle this bug. "I will break you" she whispered to him under her breath. There was no way he could hear it, since she didnt want him to hear it. She said it so she can hear herself, that was the extent of which Miku will hype herself up for this battle Once they were both in the arena, the referee reminded the two kids of the rules. Miku wishes they could just go through one ear to another, but sadly, if she was to win she had to keep in mind the rules and not maim or cripple someone by crushing their limbs with wooden spikes or strangle them with vines. But still, that didnt mean Miku will be hindered and contained. She would pass this even if her own limbs end up broken and withered 'The First battle of the tournament, Hajimari Miku vs Hino Yojin. Begin'The second the battle begun, Miku took off her fanny pack and poured the soil on the ground. And to which she took 6 seeds from the other. 1 which she threw in the soil and the other 5 she chucked as far as she could toward Yojin. The seed in the dirt would start growing into a massive tree, while the other 5 seeds grew quickly into knee sized sentient plants. The plant minions which angrily charged at Yojin to attack him and keep him at bay from their master
TLDR: -When the battle started Miku poured soil on the ground from her fanny pack -She threw 1 seed in the soil and started growing a tree -She threw 5 seeds as far as possible towards Yojin which grew into sentient knee sized Plant Minions that are running and charging at Yojin to attack him Quirk Name and Rank: Plantmancer (D Rank) Abilities and Ranks: Poison Resistance (F Rank), Electro Bulb (F Rank), Miku's Actiony Martial Arts (F Rank), Plant Minions (F Rank), Botany (F Rank/Mundane), Musician (F Rank/Mundane) Plant MinionSorry I cant properly place the picture here resized, unless you want it super sized

自由自在 they call me agent orange
When Yojin had entered UA, the thought of fighting a student from the Hero course had been unthinkable. He’d never wanted the spotlight. His goals had been simple: fix shit, make a name, get money, help his parents.
Shit never went as planned.
Yojin couldn’t hide behind the excuse of having a shitty quirk, or being a support student, or hating the limelight until he graduated. The clock was ticking down on every student in UA--if any of them refused to make a name for themselves, they’d end up left behind. If Yojin only fought when it was life or death, he’d just keep pushing himself too far, and getting hurt. He needed to prove he could win without destroying himself in the process.
It didn’t mean Yojin had to like it.
This was the best chance to do things the right way he was going to get for a year, though.
Yojin paused at the doorway that lead out into the arena, then slowly raised the simple yellow bandana he was wearing as a mask. Then he closed his eyes, and stepped through the door into the hot yellow sun of the stadium. The roar of the crowd rose around him, loud enough to drown out his thoughts. It felt like a physical blow. Sweat beaded on his forehead. Shit. There were so many people. Why were there so many people? Didn’t they have something better to do?
His stomach churned, and he tried to force himself to open his eyes. Somewhere in the stands were his parents. He wanted to look for them, but if he looked up at the crowd, he’d probably throw up. He had to keep his eyes low. Pretend no one else existed.
This was a mistake.
At the edge of the arena, he stopped, frozen in place. He needed to calm down. If he went into the fight like this, he wouldn’t be able to think. And that was the only edge he had--planning ahead.
Machines first. It’s just another job.
Yojin activated his quirk, and faint yellow sparks crackled along his gear. Over his UA jumpsuit, he was wearing a mechanical “harness” strapped on his torso, which held up three metal tanks on his back, and connected to a pair of mechanical gauntlets strapped to his arms. A bright yellow strap across Yojin’s chest proclaimed the combat harness as the “Weedwacker MKI.”
Yojin felt some of the tension drain. The Weedwacker had started, at least, and the focus of running it was enough to distract him from his anxiety.
It gave him the courage to look up at his opponent. Miku. He didn’t remember her last name. Slender. Cute. Harmless looking, and without any notable combat skill. Yojin probably couldn’t have picked anyone he’d have rather fought less. He knew, just like him, Miku felt like she had something to prove. A stronger opponent might underestimate him, and prepare for the school’s heavy hitters. Miku couldn’t afford to take Yojin lightly.
The look on her face confirmed it. She didn’t look nervous or confident. Miku looked...cold. Angry, even. Maybe he could use that, but right now, it worried him.
Yojin swallowed nervously, giving Miku a polite nod, then immediately undermined it with a grin, and a playful salute. Then, he pulled down a pair of tinted mechanic's goggles.
At least he could pretend to be confident about this.
Three.
Two.
One.
Miku sprung into action, while Yojin hung back, playing defensive, assessing the threat. What was she going to do? She controlled plants. Some sort of vine attack? There was the dirt--and seeds--good, she needed seeds--and--
Plant summons. Not vines.
Yojin raised his right gauntlet, activating the mechanism within with his quirk. A stream of flame--well, napalm, technically, squirted out of a nozzle on the forearm, fed from the tank on his back. Heat washed over him, his face
It was dangerous enough he was going to have to be careful to never hit Miku herself, but there were few better-tested solutions for rapid defoliation. Once the napalm hit the plants, it would stick, and keep burning.
As he torched the plants, he started to advance on Miku, trying drive her off the patch of dirt. The second cylinder on his back opened up, white powder sprinkling in a trail behind him on the ground. Rock salt and weed killer. The more ground he covered, the less she could use.
He always had a plan.
[[TL:DR-- Yojin uses a flamerthrower (made with his quirk) to ignite the mini-minions, while advancing on Miku, trying to drive her off the dirt. He leaves a trail of rock salt and weedkiller behind him to try to make sure she can't grow plants in that area]]
Skills: Mechanic: e, Drive: f, Technomancy (Quirk): e, Improve-Fu: f Weedkiller MK1(Mechanically, it's made by his quirk): Has Weedkiller trail, Flamethrower (used via Quirk), and machete in second gauntlet.

Her precious minions were burned to a crisp! And he doesnt even have a fire Quirk! He has a friggin flamethrower! Why is life always against her!? Luckily, the tree she planted fully grew, Miku used it to manipulate its roots to spread all over the arena. She made the roots break the stone ground to reveal the precious soil from undernearth. Miku then proceeded to grab a fist full of various seeds and tossed them everywhere she could. This was now setup, not just for this battle, but for the next battle as well. The seeds would fall down on the ground and be buried underneath the ground. Focusing on this battle, the flamethrower and the plant killing tools were a pain. Miku needed to break them. And think of something fast. Something that he wont see coming. If Yojin sees it. He fries it. She couldnt let Yojin burn the tree. Miku had to protect it and stand infront of it like a human meat shield to protect it. If he wants to burn it he has to get through her. She then quickly manipulated one of the tree's roots to sprout from underneath Yojin. It's goal was to wrap up Yojin, squeze him tight and immobilize him TLDR: -Miku observes Yojin take care of her plant minions -The tree from the previous post fully grew -Miku manipulated the tree's roots to break the stone of the arena.(10m radius) -She grabbed a fistful of seeds and threw them everywhere around her -Knowing that Yojin's gadgets are a pain and that her tree is a target, she stood infront of it, to protect it -She manipulated one of the tree's roots so try and grab Yojin from underneath

自由自在 smokey and i have history
So that’s what the tree was for.
Shit.
There was no such thing as “safe ground” in the arena if Miku could break through the floor like that. And there wasn’t enough weedkiller and salt in Yojin’s backpack to cover the whole damn arena. He’d have to choose the ground he wanted to fight on, and stick to it--sacrifice the rest to her plants.
What an annoying quirk.
Yojin gritted his teeth, still pressing forward, then something wrapped around his leg, and pulled, hard. His eyes went wide, and he let out a grunt, the stream of flame from his left gauntlet stopping as he waved his arms to keep balance.
Shit. Root.
He’d been expecting something like that. It would have been nice, though, if she wasn’t also clever. Of course she couldn’t just stick to drowning him in waves of minions. Nooooo. Miku had to go for a multi-pronged approach.
Clever people were just the worst.
Yojin surged his quirk to his left gauntlet, heart hammering in his chest, and swiped the stream of flame in a low arc in front of him, setting a few of the remaining minions on fire. That wasn’t really the point, though. The real purpose of the move was to create a brief sheet of flame between him and his opponent, blocking her view.
He jabbed his right gauntlet down at his foot, gritting his teeth--this was risky--and a blade popped out a sheath in the wrist, a broad, sharp machete. Nothing fancy, just a tried-and-true way to cut through jungle.
As he started to chop through the root, the blade began to vibrate like a saw.
Okay, so it was a little bit fancy.
It was mostly sheer, desperate panic that kept Yojin on his feet--the knowledge that if the root managed to get around his arms, or waist--if he felt into the dirt, he had as good at lost. Before it managed to get higher than his knee, it snapped apart under his blade, and he sprung backward, onto the trail of salt he’d left behind him, panting.
Great. He hadn’t cut off his leg. That had been a risk.
It was time to re-evaluate. He’d been trying to get in close to Miku, and force her into hand-to-hand, where his size and weight might be an advantage. But her quirk was almost ideal for defense--it was like trying to fight a battle in a minefield. No. He needed to get her away from the damn tree.
“Okay. Yeah. That was sneaky.” Yojin called out, giving his flamethrower a chance to cool, and vent. He was working on a clock as well--fuel, and effort. Urgh.
He raised his arm, heart pounding again as he forced his quirk back into the gauntlet, aiming down the flamethrower at the little blonde.
“...You know a villain wouldn’t hesitate, right?” He muttered, not sure if he was annoyed at her, himself, or the tournament format. How did people with actual fire quirks fight without lighting their opponents on fire all the time?
He focused his quirk, and at the last second, as flame blossomed from the end of the nozzle on his gauntlet, he jerked his arm up, aiming over Miku’s head, at the leaves and branches of the tree.
“Remember, only you can fire forests!...or something like that…” Yojin called out.
He was pretty sure that was the saying. He’d have to ask Chimera later.
[[TL:DR-- Yojin gets grabbed by the root, stops, makes a smokescreen with his flamethrower, uses his machete to cut through the root, but hurts his leg. Backs away from Miku, onto his trail of weed-killer, and fires a blast of flame at the tree, trying to drive her away from it.]]

Yes, a success! She managed the grab the boy with the root. She made it start wrapping around him. But then he used his flamethrower, not to flame his leg, but to fire away to make a wall of fire. Disabling Miku from seeing what he'd do. Miku considered to climb the tree to see, but then remembered that would make the tree vurnable to his attacks. "Tch!" she had to stay grounded where she is. And sacrifice her view And now, once Yojin did his thing, he spoke. She was being sneaky? "And a flamethrower isnt?" Miku countered him Yojin then said something that a villain wouldnt hesitate.... Miku raised her brow and didnt understand that. Yojin wouldnt hesitate if he was a villain or she shouldnt hesitate? He probably meant if he was a villain he'd flamethrower her. But... since he brought Villains in the picture "Oh? You want me to play the Villain? Fine then, lets play the game. I'm the Villain and I will break you" Miku said menacingly the last part Of couse she wont break him, it was against the rules. But she had to convince him that she will. A battle isnt just a physical thing. It was a psychological thing as well. If she mentally breaks him, she can break him irl as well. Scare and intimidation was a way to victory. And to which, Yojin could see Miku get this menacing smile and aura about her as she raised her hands and used her Quirk once more. But this time to grow 2 trees to each of Yojins side. 10 meters away. The trees started growing, that way Miku could get MORE land. She started to make grass grow near the two of them. And suspiciously blue flower bulbs started to grow. Bulbs that emitted a blue light above them As Miku started to spread her plant influence, Yojin said something something fire forests fire and then used his flamethrower above Miku's head! He wanted to flame the tree even tho she was still there "Yojin!!!!" she called out maniacally embracing this villanous attitude to scare him "A VILLAIN DOESNT HESITATE!!!!" she raised her arms and stepped on her tippy toes to try and block the flames and protect this tree. That way he can at least stall him while the other 2 trees grew. It was just like how she mentally promised to herself before this battle began. She would pass this even if her own limbs end up broken and withered. Or in this case burned
TLDR: -Miku is helpless as Yojin frees himself from the root -When Yojin said that a Villain wouldnt hesitate,Miku adopted a Villanous attitude and started a psychological war. Using fear and intimidation tactics -She made 2 trees grow to each of Yojins side, 10 meters away -Though closer and on a smaller scale she made grass grow where she and Yojin are -Along with the grass, she also made a few Electro Bulbs grow(check ability on profile for full description of that) -Yojin used his flamethrower over Miku's head. -But Miku raised her arms to protect the tree in a way to show him that she is dead set on winning, as to stall him and intimidate him.

自由自在 maybe he mistook Miku for a squirrel.
Oh, come on. That was not what I meant!
There was a fine line between a hunger for victory, and a psychotic breakdown, and it was starting to get a little blurry for Yojin. I mean, come on! He’d entered this tournament to see if he could work a little on losing the “Kamikaze” thing Giest had called him, and now Miku was trying to block fire blasts with her body, and giving a full-on evil rant!
How was he supposed to avoid serious harm when his opponent seemed dead set on one of the them going to the hospital!?
Yojin cut the power to his incinerator gauntlet, the stream of flame dying after the first burst, cursing under his mask. He was severely tempted to just let the thorny little gremlin fry. It’d be her own damn fault. But dammit, someone had to keep their cool!
“You know there’s a match after this, right!?” Yojin called out, shaking the gauntlet out in a futile attempt to cool it. It was starting to get uncomfortably warm. “If I’m worried, it’s because win or lose, I’d rather not roll up to battle number two in a wheelchair! So stop it! Fire hurts!"
“Villains didn’t hesitate.” Goddamnit, that had been supposed to be a declaration that he was fighting like a hero, not an invitation to hit below the belt!
He glanced nervously at the trees growing around him, and started to move again, circling Miku’s while moving away from the two new ones. The math wasn’t looking good. Was he really going to run out of fuel, or corners to camp in before she ran out of energy? Urgh. Why hadn’t anyone mentioned how....exhausting her quirk was.
Damn it was tempting to call it. If nothing else, to force her to calm down. It was always the cute and innocent ones who ended up psycho. Jiatsu was next. Yojin was sure of it.
He had a little bit more in him, though. It was emergency improvisation time.
Yojin paused, panting, his eyes fluttering with effort as he dug deep into his quirk. Sparks crackled along his backpack, and it let out an uncomfortable whine of metal grinding on metal as he reconfigured the wires and motors. The tube from the napalm tank to his gauntlet disconnected, and then jacked itself into the bottom tank--the one full of salt and weedkiller. Meanwhile, the napalm tank wasn’t connected to anything anymore--it dribbled behind him, leaking onto the dirt.
Yojin’s head spun as the repairs finished, and for a second, he couldn’t move--if he took a step, he’d probably have collapsed. Hopefully, Miku had been too busy with her trees to retaliate.
He leveled the gauntlet at her again, his arm shaking.
“Hey. Lorax. You don’t need to impress me. Never doubted you for a second. But please-” He growled through gritted teeth, trying not to show how tired he was getting. “-Git off mah property!”
And the gauntlet blasted a stream of rock-salt (and weedkiller) at Miku.
What?
It was nicer than trying to set her on fire. Tachibana could definitely back him up on that. Or, well, she could if she wasn't a snake, and a generally terrible person.
Need get in close.
[[TL:DR: Yojin cuts the fire blast when Miku tries to block it, then runs away from the new trees, but is running out of room in the arena. He uses his quirk to modify the Weedwacker, making it shoot a spray of rock salt instead of fire, then fires at Miku again.]]

Yatta! Success! He turned off his flame. Once Yojin spoke up. Miku had to counter his retort "Villains dont hesitate. But true heroes also do anything in their power to stop Villains. Even if my body is broken, I will do whatever it takes to win, because this battle is high stakes to me. Besides, not all battles are physical ones" Miku said as she made the trees and plants grow. She'd honestly like to tell Yojin more, on why desperate she was to win. To tell him how much this meant to her, but now was not the time.
Miku's 2 tree's fully grew, but she did not do anything with them yet. She noticed something about Yojin. He seemed tired and his arms were shaky. He spoke again and.... aimed his weapon at her... hoo boy "-Git off mah property!" "Whoa nelly, I aint stickin 'round here for this" Miku thought and quickly dodged the attack
A gauntlet that blasted a stream of rock-salt and weedkiller at Miku. Miku did not want to test what would happen if that hit her. Considring that she needed to be hydrated like a plant to make her Quirk work good, she didnt want to test what anti plant stuff would do. Speaking of hydration. As Miku ran toward the tree that was 10 meters away on Yojin's. Miku grabbed a small bottle of water, opened it and poured it on her head and threw the small bottle at Yojin because eff him.
She had 2 trees. So she just ran to another one in attempt to protect it. She controlls the tree that she's under to break more of the ground for her too use. And also makes sure to grow 3 Electro Bulbs around Yojin. It was as if he was around 3 motion sensing landmines. He needed to be careful
TLDR: -Miku cools down and explains that she's not cray cray(much), just REALLY wants to win this -2 trees from previous post are fully grown -Since she had 2 more trees, she didnt need to do crazy suicidal moves, so she quickly and narrowly dodged the rocksalt and weedkiller -She took a small water bottle from her fanny pack to replenish her quirk and poured it on her head -She broke some more ground with the tree's roots(not much) -Miku grew 3 Electro Bulbs that will zap him if he goes near them with sudden movements

Great, she isn’t crazy!
That doesn’t help me win whatsoever, but it’s very comforting!
Yojin lunged forward on pure instinct as Miku threw something at him, before jolting to a stop as seeds started to grow around him.
Did she miss? No...are those….?
Landmines? Plant Seeds? Plant-mines?
He had to think fast. If they exploded, he was leaking napalm right now, and would go up like a torch. Yojin felt himself shiver at the thought. Yeah. Being burned alive today was not worth winning.
He could just yield. Nothing was on the line but his pride.
Fuck, giving up would feel like an insult to her right now.
He needed to clear the mines.
Right. Death or glory time. Miku was right. There was no use in half-measures.
Yojin reached behind him, popping the half-empty tank of napalm off his back, and bowled it toward Miku--straight into the mines.
"YEET!"
If that wasn’t enough to set them off, what followed surely was--he raised his machete arm, and activated his quirk to fire the blade like a harpoon into the napalm tank, shielding his eyes with his free hand.
The explosion was spectacular.
Lightning crackled across the ground, and there was the brief smell of ozone, before the napalm went off with a wumph, a giant pool of fire spreading across the cracked cement and dirt.
Yojin didn’t hesitate--he charged straight into the pool of fire, head down, screaming at the top of his lungs. Flames licked around his legs. He could feel the cloth start to smoulder, but the only way out was through. If everything was burning, she couldn’t grow anything to stop him from getting to her.
He burst from the flames in front of Miku, singed and smoking, going for a simple, no-frills shoulder-check.
No more tricks for him. Just brute force.
"OW!"
[[TL:DR: Yojin throws his napalm tank into the mines, then shoots his machete at it to spread napalm across the ground, and destroy two of the mines, clearing a path to Miku while she's setting up again. He runs through the field of fire, lightly burning himself, and tries to tackle her. He's probably about to learn she also knows martial arts.]]

While Yojin was thinking what to do, Miku was throwing plant seeds where ever she could. She was setting up for future fights. So even if the stone got repaired, the seeds were thrown and were set to be under the stone, ready to burst out when needed. But now, enough setting up. She needed to deal with Yojin, she watched Yojin who reached behind him, popping the half-empty tank of napalm off his back, and bowled it toward Miku--straight into the Electro Bulbs. The plants were torched and the electro bulbs shot a small and incredibly weak electric shot in every direction as their dying protection attack. But the thing was, Yojin didnt stop there, he used his Quirk to throw the machete into the napalm tank and made a huge ass explosion "What the fuck dude, they're plants, not C4 mines. Arghh, this is why G told me to stick with the Vilain act. As soon as I revealed that I aint coo coo cray cray crazy, he got new determination. Smh Miku" Miku thought to herself
She watched as Yojin took a page from her book and didnt hesitate, he charged straight into the pool of fire, head down, screaming at the top of his lungs. Miku during that getting into a battle stance, while mentally berating herself more for filling him with determination. She saw Yojin burst and emerge from the flames, he was ready to go mano a mano. Hand to hand. And so was she. No more bs-ing around with Quirks, they were gonna settle this like men. As Yojin went to charge and tackle her. Miku went to retaliate by sidestepping and tripping him with her foot. If that maneuvar was successful, he'd fall down on the ground and Miku would be on top of him to pin him down and restrain him. If that works she'd win the battle, right? If that doesnt work, Miku would then go punch him in the face and keep punching him until he's down on the ground, so once again she'd try to pin him down and restrain him
TLDR: -Miku sets up for the next battle, by throwing more plant seeds -Because Yojin torched and exploded the Electro Bulbs, as they were killed off, they sent a weakened G rank electro shock in any direction. If Yojin was close during that, his foot probably got a small G rank zap instead of the intended F rank one -As Yojin goes to tackle her, she now attempts to trip him and get on top of him to restrain him to win the fight -If that last move works, it would look somethin like this (but less creepy. Also I cant resize the image, teach me please)

Fistfights was a lot more comfortable arena for Yojin than Quirkfights. Sure, if you asked him, he’d say he was kinda a pacifist. But you didn’t grow up in a machine shop surrounded by older, anti-social mechanics without learning a few things. And hey, change schools once or twice, and have a crap sense of humor and an even worse way with words, and you might just end up learning how to talk with your fists.
Now, screaming like a maniac and running headfirst at his opponent was a sophisticated tactic that had served Yojin well in the past. Lot of people talked big, but when it came to crunch, couldn’t back it up. Get a solid hit, get big, get scary, they folded. Most of the time, worked like a charm. Yojin knew a second before he hit that Miku was one of the other sort.
The sort that had both talent, and the willpower not to panic or fold.
Shit.
The moment he saw her stance change--center of gravity low, hips pointed at him--he knew he’d fucked up. It was too late to stop, so he lowered his head, and raised his arms, bracing for the crunch.
Her foot caught on his, and the world spun around him. He face-planted into the dirt with a painful thump, barely managing to get his arms underneath himself to break the fall. The wind whooshed out of his lungs, tears forming in his eyes under the goggles as he spluttered into the dirt. Stop drop and roll it wasn't, but it put out any remaining fires on his clothes, at least.
"Balls." He heard himself gasp.
Ugh. He’d landed harder than he thought he would have--there was something heavy and--soft?--On his back.
Ah shit. Miku was on top of him. Going for a pin, then.
More balls.
There was a pretty decent chance she was better at this hand to hand thing than he was. At least he still probably had strength, and reach. Not that reach was helpful with her mounting him. But hey. She was light.
In another world, he might have been embarrassed, but right now, his legs and chest were screaming in pain, and he was still sputtering for breath. Luckily, she’d made a bit of a mistake.
He still had the canister of salt and weedkiller on his back. It was basically empty, but no one on earth, especially not little-miss-flytrap was going to enjoy landing on the broken metal bits, tubes and canisters strapped to his back, so really, the weedkiller was just the icing on the pain cupcake.
Yojin huffed out a breath, and shoved himself up, trying to roll over onto her, eyes still blurry with tears.
“...Hphhm. Bugman...teach...you...that?” He panted. “Good move. Bad target.”
[[TL:DR: Miku gets her pin. Yojin is embarrassed. Unfortunately, he's still wearing his metal backpack, and it's got weedkiller and salt inside. So that probably hurt her. He tries to roll onto her to knock her off, while making small-talk about her dad.]]

Yatta. Success! She managed to trip him and pin him down. When she pinned him down and restrained him, Miku quietly spoke into his ear "Give up. Yield. Surrender. I got you" Sadly, he didnt give up and sadly her weight was not heavy enough for Yojin
He shoved himself up and went to roll over onto her. Balls. She should've figured that brute force couldnt do. She was no Darren. She was no G. Miku got carried away by Yojins battle war cry. What sucked major balls was that she thought he was on his last legs and would be able to brute force a victory for herself. Still the way he managed the free himself by shoving himself up did make her fall on the ground. And not so lightly, but then again, it could be worse. "Ow... Owwww... Im ok.... but that was totally my bad" she spoke to no one in particular. Maybe half to Yojin and half to herself.
Since this couldnt be ended in a fistfight or at least not in the way Miku wanted it to end, she needed to do something quick. They were near her tree! Miku used her Quirk to make the tree grow a vine. The vine wrapped around her torso and lifted her up to safety. And it was right on time as she heard Yojin huffed out a breath, and went to roll over onto her to do a reverse pin, honestly that would be a KO crusher for someone like Miku. It was a stupid stroke of luck that Miku used a vine to pick her up.
Miku heard Yojin mention Bugman... ahh G. Yes he taught her. And yes, Miku chose a bad target. But she corrected Yojin "Bugman taught me many things, but so did Darren. One is good at teaching strikes and grapples. The other is a master of bone breaking and joint dislocating. Now though" she cut the conversation short as she manipulated the tree's branches
Miku's Quirk allowed her to manipulate a plants growth and structure. So if one knows her Quirk, it wouldnt come as much of a surprise to see the tree branch taking the shape of a hammer "Wood Hammer!" she said her attack and made the tree branch hammer strike Yojin
TLDR -Miku ordered Yojin to give up -When he got her off of him, she used a vine to pick her up to safety. Unknowingly avoided another Yojins attack -Quip -Attacks Yojin with her move Wood Hammer. Basically a branch took the shape of a hammer and is striking him down

自由自在 miku's got wood. for yojin.
Yojin grunted in surprise as the weight on his back lifted, just as rolled onto his back to reverse the pin.
“Surrender? Never heard of it!” Yojin replied, trying to sound cocky. It was a little undercut by how breathless he was.
Yojin reached up on instinct, his hand snagging at Miku's jumpsuit, then coming loose as she rose out of reach.
Shit.
If she got into the branches, he was out of napalm--and he was under a tree.
Still lying flat on his back, he reached for his quirk on instinct, panting with effort. He was improvising again. One of his gauntlets popped off his hand, still connected to his harness by hoses from the (now useless) flamethrower. He swung it at Miku like a whip, using his quirk to make the empty glove grab at her like a makeshift grappling hook, then yanked, trying to pull her back down to the ground. No running away.
“Funny! Darren--helped--me--too!” He panted.
My plans are getting dumber by the second!
Wait, holy shit, I used used my quirk at range, why the fuck haven’t I been--
Ohgod!
Yojin’s sudden epiphany was interrupted by Miku calling out an attack. Normally, he’d mock the whole anime trope but--WOODEN TREE HAMMER
He raised his other hand on instinct to block the attack, then let out a squeak of pain as the hammer slammed into the gauntlet. His arm went numb. He heard the metal contraption break apart, little plates, gears, and springs flying in different directions, bouncing off his goggles.
Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow.
Bone breaking and grapples. Shit. Another hit like that would break his fucking arm, wouldn’t it? He needed to keep her close.
If he managed to pull her back, he went for a straight punch at whatever he could reach--stomach, legs, whatever.
"FIST!" He grunted.
He could yell attacks.
[[TL:DR: Yojin unbuckles one gauntlet, and tosses it at Miku, using his quirk to try to make it grab her, and pull her back down to keep her in reach. He blocks the Tree Hammer with his second gauntlet, but hurts his arm, and destroys the gauntlet in the process. If he did catch Miku, he tries to punch her.]]

Yojin used his Quirk and made a grappling hook by using his gauntlet and oher doohickey stuff. He then used the new gadget to grab her leg and then started pulling her down "Oh no you dont!" Miku usaid and used her Quirk to make her vine tighten around her torso and keep her up in the air and safe.
But what she miscalculated was that now a tug of war is starting and now she's being stretched badly. At least she took solace that her vines didnt grab her wrists and pulled her as if she was in some medieval dungeon. Another thing she was glad was that she was using her UA gym uniform, otherwise Yojin would've had a prime view from underneath her skirt. But enough of that, she needed to get serious. Thats why she used one of her self taught 'signature' attacks. Wood Hammer.
Her attack managed to hit its target in success, but alas Yojin blocked it with his troublesome gauntlet. Now that her attack made Yojin and his grappling hook let her go. "My torso, my stomach...my ribs... my lasagna" Miku said to herself as she realized that she made her vine squeeze her too much. She had to lessen its grip, so she used her Quirk to command the vine and do so.
Miku then heard a yell "FIST!!" she then looked down and saw Yojin punch her foot "OI!!! RUDE MUCH!!!" she yelled
She then used her Quirk to make the grass grow under Yojin, so it can grow to tall grass and wrap him up. "Oh come the fuck on!! A capable person would've already beat him!! He's just in Support Studes!!! Everyone is looking at me in shame!! Why am I having trouble!??! Why am I weak?! Why are you weak Miku!! Just beat him already you dummy!! Im sick of being so weak. Other people have the luxury to fight for meaningless things like pride or fame. You gotta beat him so people can take you seriously! I dont wanna be treated like a baby anymore!!" Miku mentally berated herself and just reminded herself of her goals. Why she was so gung ho of fighting and winning.
People were watching her, she had to win. If she loses she'd never show her face out in public again.
TLDR: -Yojin grabbed Miku's leg with his grappling hook gauntlet -Yojin and a tree vine kept pulling Miku back and forth in a painful(to Miku) tug of war -After Yojin blocked Wood Hammer, the tug of war ended, and Yojin fisted punched Miku -Miku grows grass to entangle and catch Yojin

自由自在 why is always electricity?
It was getting real hard to think now. Clever plans, engineering knowledge, it all fell by the wayside under an avalanche of desperate adrenaline. If he lost now, hadn’t he come farther than anyone else expected? Miku wasn’t a top-ranker, but she was still a hero student. She was still dangerous. Hell, given how long she’d been at UA, she was probably middle rank.
What could you expect from a support?
Yojin yanked again at the claw attached to Miku, teeth clenched in a grimace under his mask. She. Was. Coming. Down.
Goddammit. I'm not just a Support. I'm the best Support.
Grass started to rise up and tangle around him, and he felt his throat swell, panic setting in. Even though it was just a tournament--even if the danger wasn’t really real, there was something terrifying about being tangled like a fly in a web. Call it claustrophobia, or whatever the shit you wanted, Yojin’s brain was screaming.
He clawed at the ground next to him, reaching for something--anything. His gauntlet was gone, the machete gone, flamethrower gone. Weedkiller, gone. He’d spent days making them. Broken in minutes.
Something sliced his fingers, and he grabbed it--a jagged piece of metal from the glove. He started to slash at the grass, trying to sit up, cut himself free, still pulling at Miku.
Come on. I am Hino Yojin. I am as clever as three cats in a sack. And I am going to fucking make it past round one.
He bit down on his lip. What hadn’t he broken yet?
Nylon webbing. One glove. Pipe. And…
Well, he still had a battery left.
He let go of the hose that connected him to Miku, and shorted the battery pack out, letting a shock travel through the hose to Miku. Not strong--it was only a moped battery. But maybe enough to disrupt her concentration?
[[- Yojin grabs a piece of metal off the ground, and starts slashing at the grass.
- Yojin pulls Miku again.
- Yojin tries to shock Miku with the Weedwacker battery (very light shock, like a car battery) through the hose + gauntlet.
]]

She hated how persistent he was. The vines grip is tight on her. At this rate she will make herself pass out. And thats no good. Luckily his grip wasnt even that strong as she noticed that he was looking for something as the grass was starting to tie and entangle him. She saw that he grabbed something and apparently that something was sharp as he started slicing through grass. Miku just sighed, that was the weakness of grass, it was... grass.... Miku was held by the vine also firmly held and pulled up as Yojin pulled down. She wasnt gonna go down yet, and if she was, he was gonna get death from above aka a kick to the face. She watched what Yojin did and saw he then let go of the hose, that stirred her quite a bit as she was using her quirk to pull her up. Luckily she wasnt slightshotted out of bounds. Thank god for that. But still, he did something but Miku simply didnt have he technical know how to understand what he was doing. But soon as the shock of electricty swarmed her she udnerstood what he did. This... was poultry..She almost lost concentration as for second, the grass ceased growing. But it lasted only for a second as it soon continued its work. Out of all the people who helped her at this moment it was Thundershock himself when he zapped Miku. She remembered his wrath and how he said that it would hurt like a bitch. She remembered that fateful encounter like it was yesterday "I want to see what my electricity will do to you. You won't die, but it'll hurt like a bitch... and remember, I could, and still can, have just done this without asking for your permission. I can be a monster, sure, but I have my moments. So, what do you say little Miku?" She agreed to his deal. She was willing to do that to gain more power. And with that she took a deep breath, closed her eyes and braced herself. She felt his hand rest on her shoulder and then.Thunder. Lightning. Electricity. Whatever you want to call it. Miku was zapped with it and BOY was it painful. She imagined she lit up like a christmas tree. That shock hurt, it hurt so so much. But still, she didnt want to scream. Not to him. She had to take this like a man. After all this was physical hurt. Emotional hurt was far worse. And she experienced that But who's to say she didnt have any internal screaming "Ow... Ow... Ow. Ow. Ow OW OW OW OW OW OWOWOOWOWOW!!!! HURT!!! HUURT!! IT HUUUURRTTS!!! AAAAaaaAAAAaaaaAAAaaaaA" Miku just thought as she was being zapped. It was all about that internal screaming. Which she almost let out outside. But at most she whimpered a bit, because she gritted her teeth and tried to keep her mouth shut. She didnt wanna scream, she didnt even dare to scream in pain infront of Thundershock. "PAIN IN JUST GODS WAY OF TELLING YOU YOU NEED TO TRY HARDER!!!!" she mentally yelled to herself and chanted to try to withstand that pain After what seemed to be an eternity soon stopped. Miku was dizzy as her brain was also fried. She felt like she was gonna fall. And she almost did, but he moved and helped her stay up? Miku DID NOT see that coming, she imagined she'd just crash on the floor.
Back to present day Miku was still mindblown that Thunder didnt just let her drop down to the ground. But that weird encounter was for another day. It was tournament time, and Miku was still being zapped by Yojin. At this rate she might get electricity powers due to all the zapping she got "Pain is just Gods way of tellin you, you need to try harder!!" she told Yojin She made the grass stop growing. And threw more seeds down at him. They fell near him and around him. 5 blue flowers grew. They were the Electro Bulbs. Yojin zapped Miku, now it was her turn to try and zap him. They were gonna zap him if he moved, if he stayed still he'd do nothing. There was a flaw with her Electro Bulbs, they zapped ANYTHING that moved. Whether it be friend or for or Miku herself or even a pebble thrown in their direction. They'd zap anything, lose their charge and needed to be recharged again. If someone threw an inanimate object at the Electro Bulbs, they'd use up their stored power on nothing and foes could traverse through the 'electric mine field' with ease. But Miku now wanted to try to use that weakness to her advantage. If Yojin stayed in one place he woudlnt get zapped. But Miku wanted to drop a sunflower seed to try and upset the plants. So either the falling seed will upset them or Yojin trying to move and do something. Miku was gonna do her darndest to zap him as payback. "Final chance Yojin. Give up. Surrender and let me win" she said
TLDR: -Tug of war continued -Yojin sliced through grass -Miku strategized what she'd do if she was to go down -Miku got zapped and for a second lost focus of her Quirk -Flashback -Yojin succeeded in making the grass stop -But Miku wanted payback for the zap and used 5 Electro Bulbs that will zap him if he moves -Miku giving him the last chance to surrender
