| ◀ | The heart is a heavy burden ❤ When the training of the morning finished, Rowan looked around to clear up everything, they would meet a bit later again and she hoped that the rest would show up again to finish the routine that they had. Rowan was tired after this and she had to check the time but she had enough time to clear up the gym hall before she would have to change out of her uniform back into normal clothes and head to the stand that the cooking club had reserved for the whole day. She would have to be around lunchtime with Haruto and Miku.
Lady remembered the last time she saw Miku, it wasn't as if she had avoided her so-called friend but she needed to stir clear of any trouble, she was in charge, not Rowan albeit she responded to that name to only make it easier, no one would call her Lady anyway. She also had to avoid the school nurse and the psychiatrist if he was here. She had not met him before so that might be a difficult job. She put the clothes that were left over for people that did not show up back in one of the big bags and put her own dark red coloured pompons in the other. She had to consider what to do, obviously she could text everyone to show up but at this point, she wanted to sit and relax, this whole day was going to be disastrous busy, so she should be highly aware of that and take her moments of rest. She had to prepare for the activities as well, after all, she had to win. She already lost King of the Hill because the platform had been sabotaged but that was fine for now. She had not lost directly by her own doing.
She looked to see if everyone had left, she had been lost in thoughts to say goodbye to people and that was okay that they left, she would want to clean up quickly, gather all the necessary items and store them in her locker before the pep rally would be coming into view. She had hours, but she had to hurry as well, meeting up with cooking club members and other cheerleaders to make sure to spread the word that people would come and see their pep rally later. |

--- arisu --- - - - Perhaps fortunately for Rowan- or was it Lady, as only she seemed to be aware?- not everyone had immediately left. Having already needed to try on the cheer outfit, and having some time before the rest of the day was going to claim so much of their time that day, Arisu had stayed behind to try to get in a few minutes of extra practice and refresher. The club was very new, and she wanted to do her best to be a good example for the other cheerleaders- it was gonna mean some extra study, but if she could pick up some more advanced cheer techniques, she could teach those to the others and improve the quality of the squad overall without putting any extra weight onto Rowan or Farrah.
When the club president looked her way, Arisu was studying her phone and mimicking cheer poses she had looked up, memorizing them as diligently as she'd absorbed the boxing forms she used in her sparring matches. They were clumsy- she was very much still new to cheering- but she was making progress, and had a lot of promise if she kept to her practices. She had some additional ideas related to her quirk and it's ability to get up high quickly, but she didn't want to test that here over hardwood.
After a few moments of this, she appeared to remember that she wasn't here alone and turned to face Rowan as if a little surprised, lifting a hand to wave. "Oh! Sorry! I got so involved in- never mind! Um- do you want some help picking up the gym hall so we can get out of here? I'd be happy to help if you do! Might buy us both a few extra minutes to ourselves before the madhouse of the festival kicks into full gear, you know?"

Chiyoko was a support student, so it made sense that as a support student she should partake in the supportive act of cheerleading. That had been her motivation for answering the call to form a cheerleading squad – that and her desire to make new friends.
No one told her cheerleading would be a rather exhausting experience, however. When their training session was finally through she fell back against the nearest wall and sank down with big, heavy breaths.
“Yikes,” she said to no one in particular. “What a workout that was. But I can do it, I swear...”
She remained like that for some time. Slowly, her heartbeat returned to normal and she found it within herself to stand again, at which point she noticed she was not alone: their captain, Rowan, was still there, along with another girl whose name Chiyoko found she did not quite recall. It was something like the English name ‘Alice’ – Arisu, that was it!
“Uh, hey,” she said as she approached the two girls. “I’m still here too, I guess. If you need any help tidying up I’d be happy to assist you. With my Quirk it shouldn’t be too hard.”
As if to demonstrate there was a soft pop as one of her arms detached from her body and landed on the floor, using its fingers to support itself. “Though, uh, I’ll need to get changed I guess.”

@eris | ◀ | The heart is a heavy burden ❤ She was tired from the game and the routine she was working on. The one for the football match had been a lot easier than the one she had wanted to do for the pep rally. She was at least glad she got up with something and that was a start. She felt like she needed to yawn but she resisted that urge and instead took a sip of her water bottle. She looked around and waved goodbye to the people who would go away after the training, the problem is that they were already gone, too much daydreaming and when she finally decided to stop the music and put the Bluetooth box in her bag, she looked around to see what she should clean up next. That's when she noticed Arisu first. Still working out on a bit of their training. "You know breaks are good as well?" She chuckled when she walked closer to her fellow classmate.
She waved away the apology from Arisu-san because it wasn't bad, "I am glad to see you are working so hard. So I am not the only one." She looked around, they had the clean up the mats and such, she wanted to clean up as well. That's when she heard another voice and looked up to see Chiyoko still here as well, oops she had not paid as good attention to the room as she had hoped. She looked with big eyes to the quirk that Chiyoko showed, "Wow, that's creepy and awesome at the same time. I mean no offence." She hoped she did not offend anyone because that's not what Lady wanted as she was performing the role of Rowan, who was a grump in general but still. "Well, if you both offer it makes it a lot easier. Do you girls first want a drink? I mean I gave you quite a harsh training." She felt silly for doing so but yes, after that clearing up the mats would be easier with three than only herself. |

--- arisu --- - - -
"OH!" Arisu was NOT expecting the sudden amputation and clapped her hands to her face in shock, though it faded quickly and she started laughing behind her hands as she realized that it was all on purpose. "Oh! You- that was on purpose! That's super interesting! Can you manipulate it still? Like could you do homework across the room while you cooked dinner or something?? Can you get leverage without the rest of your body attached?" Well- at least she wasn't repulsed, right? "Yeah, please! We'd love the help cleaning up. More hands makes easy work, right? Even if they're across the room!" She flashed Chiyoko a bright, cheerful smile. Rowan wasn't wrong, precisely, but that was only because for most folks, a limb dropping off was a grievous injury. To do so at will wasn't gruesome, just handy- if the pun could be excused.
"I dunno if we need to get changed just to put some mats back into place, but I could wait if you'd be more comfortable with it, Chiyoko-san. Otherwise, I'd be glad to get started now, or wait for a drink- I'm pretty easy to please, I just want to make sure nobody gets overworked, you know?" Arisu looked between the other girls, curious for their preferences- she didn't really have one, after all, and would happily capitulate to any other choice at all.

Chiyoko blushed with sheepish embarassment at Rowan and especially Arisu’s shocked reactions to her Quirk (not that it was possible to easily tell with her pinkish-red skin). “Ah, sorry. I probably should’ve warned you about that. I guess I forgot how surprising it can be to people who aren’t me.” She did find Arisu’s questions about her Quirk amusing, however. “Ha, yeah, I’m pretty much the queen of multitasking. Kinda have to be with a Quirk like this.”
Rowan then offered drinks, to which Chiyoko nodded her head. “Yeah, I wouldn’t mind a bottle of water or something. Thanks Rowan.”She shrugged her shoulders after Arisu brought up not needing to get changed to move some mats. “Alright, I can change after. It’s fine. Now watch this!”
Her other arm leapt from her body with the same comical popping sound as the first. The two arms trotted on their fingers towards the furthest away mat. They proceeded to seize hold of the mat and tug it towards the storage closet exactly as they would if they were still attached to Chiyoko’s body.
“See?” Chiyoko said. “That’s how it works. I sadly can’t get leverage without my legs, though, so they’re staying on my body for now.”

@eris | ◀ | The heart is a heavy burden ❤ Lady knew very well how she had shown her looks at Chiyoko's quirk, she had said Ew. Thank god only in her mind, she had changed it to a wow and had said that it was creepy, she had meant disgusting but she had not said that. Why did Quirk come in creep forms too? She brushed it away now, she should not show that to her fellow cheerleader. She tried to just stand next to Arisu and look as shell-shocked with that and not focus the attention to her and she nodded when Chiyoko said it could be a surprise for others, yes, tell that. But it was also very interesting, apart from creepy, what would she all be able to do? Arisu thank heaven already asked those questions. The Queen of multitasking.
She shook her head mildly to go and grab some bottles of water that she would sort out later with Rimma, she looked around but Rimma was already gone, as she expected. Lady still couldn't stand the idea of being called Rowan but at this point, there was no changeable for that, as if they would suddenly call her Lady or the stupid hero name Rowan decided... Sweet Pea. Really. "Let's first get a drink." Rowan said now that Chiyoko had said she would like it, she did not plan to change too much, she would change her shirt, so refreshing but she would see how much more, it also depended on how long this would take and if she would have to run to the cooking club stand. While go and grabbing the bottles from her bag, she noticed a second pop and Chiyoko working on one of the mats. She hobbled back to the two girls and grinned, "And how do you want to drink now, Queen Multitask?" She laughed about it because it was a joke, the cheerleaders weren't so bad anyway, Lady wanted to keep active as well.
She would sit on the ground, making sure her skirt was okay, she had said to Arisu that a break was important but that meant she should take one herself once in a while too. |

--- arisu --- - - -
"No! It's fine, I didn't need a warning, that was more exciting, honestly!" Arisu did her best to soothe Chiyoko's worries over having failed to prepare them for the detachment. "I mean, surprising, sure, but that was cool! I didn't warn Hye-Rin before I rocket-jumped two stories to get in her window, after all. I get the importance of surprise!" She nodded appreciatively as Chiyoko confirmed she was the resident multitaskmaster.
"Water would be wonderful, thank you, Rowan," conceded Arisu with a quiet smile towards their de facto leader. She understood that the others weren't quite ready to get to work- except Chiyoko who was doing so from across the room- and sat down with Rowan, carefully smoothing her skirt to avoid any potential embarassment. She did have an excellent question, though, and she looked towards Chiyoko to see her response to the quandary of drinking sans arms!
"I feel kinda clever, having figured out the whole leverage difficulty thing. I think every quirk has its difficulties, more or less- well," muttered Arisu, "Except apparently Meara's, whose most frustrating "problem" is that she has still more stuff her body knows how to do but won't let her access yet." She huffed a little bit. She was still a tad caught up on her frustrations regarding someone with such a versatile quirk complaining that they had more still that they could do.
"Hey, Rowan? Why did you decide to found the cheerleaders? Like-" She paused to sip at her water before finishing her question. "-what made you decide it was what we needed? I'm happy you did, but I'd never have thought to start the group once I found out it didn't exist yet."

Chiyoko’s arms finished moving the first mat and scrabbled towards the next. Chiyoko watched them as they did this, as she was accustomed to doing, but grew distracted as Rowan approached her with a drink and made a crack about how she was going to be able to drink now. Chiyoko did not mind and just giggled a little. “I’ll use my feet to hold the bottle, duh.”
She contemplated actually attempting this (it would hardly be the first time), but thought better of it. After all, why use her feet when she had her tail? It unplugged from the back of her head in a manner rather reminiscent of removing a fuel nozzle from a car. The end of the tail that had previously been attached to her head promptly opened up to reveal serpentine fangs and a flickering forked tongue.
The tail balanced on Chiyoko’s shoulder and lunged towards the bottle. It seized it in its mouth and held it up to Chiyoko’s own mouth so that she could cheerfully drink from it.
Oh. A realisation suddenly hit her and her cheeriness vanished: this was the first time she had demonstrated this particular aspect of her Quirk in front of other UA students. Maybe I should’ve warned them about the monster stuff, too. Welp, too late now. Please don’t be weirded out, please don’t be weirded out, please don’t be weirded out...
Doing this with her tail and the ensuing realisation also meant she lost focus on her arms, which slowed their movements. Her Quirk might have allowed her to control multiple detached limbs to do multiple things, but it required her to pay attention.

@eris | ◀ | The heart is a heavy burden ❤ Well at least Arisu was able to distract Chiyoko from Lady her real thoughts, she wasn't entirely sure what she thought, yes the idea was amazing, the sound and the look, however, was something that she did not appreciate too much, but then again, she made mistakes as well in the form of judgement. If she wanted to be able to use these two a little longer as well as stay in the cheerleaders, she would have to use her Rowan mask again. She turned to look at Arisu as she spoke further on, "You jumped to Hye-Rin her room?" What was the point of that and besides she had not seen their quirks, "I should note down what everyone could do, who knows if we can use it for the cheerleader pep rally or something, which would be nice."
As Rowan got the bottles for everyone, she went to sit down and hand one to Arisu, before asking Chiyoko how she wanted to drink that now. She expected some natural talent with her foot indeed but while holding on to the bottle, Chiyoko surprised her again by using her tail, she had been less surprised about the abilities of the tail was it not for the serpentine-like features it suddenly showed and she stared at it with big eyes and now an empty hand. She surely was not able to handle anything and she looked from the tail (after something like 20 seconds) to Chiyoko and tried to make a failed attempt of a giggle, "How many more secrets do you have!" Which she tried to say enthusiastic, but damn it had sort of scared her and she hated that feeling even more. That meant she was not prepared for anything that the future might give her. Had Rowan had the pathetic display in front of Emi a few months before, Lady might now understand slightly why. What was the interesting part about blowing up stuff if you could do so much more. She turned with the same big eyes back to Arisu, maybe she had missed it as she spoke about Maera, who Rowan had never met. But it sounded frustrating, "People that complain, while others have to train and come up with their own ideas how to stretch their abilities... it's a shame." She got a bit away from Chiyoko, hopefully the girl did not think it was because of her tail but now they could sit in a small circle while the black-haired student opened her own bottle of water and took a couple of sips. "Well I wanted to do something fun and actually more active than the cooking club, I am not that great in sports nor doing them as a motivation, so I thought why not motivate others to do so. Means I am active, doing something I like to do, and I look good that way." She stuck out her tongue lightly to make sure that they understood she was making a joke, albeit not entirely but no one else had to know. |

--- arisu --- - - -
The moment the tail detached from the back of Chiyoko's head left Arisu's jaw dropped. She did, however, look startled, and not disgusted! "Holy cow, that thing has teeth?! Is it a part of you too or just a super well disguised little... pet?" Arisu proved to remain more curious than anything else- quirks fascinated her, and she was unlikely to judge someone based on how they'd been born so much as to celebrate it!
"Huh? Oh, yeah, she lives two floors straight up. I stopped at the window on the fourth floor, if I'm honest, but it was still pretty exciting! Made her day, too, she thought it was amazing!" Arisu beamed for a moment before thinking to add, "Oh, and I'm on the third floor, so- it might not be quite so impressive as it sounds at first."
"It -is- a shame. It was all I could do not to... to just lay into her in the chat room. Like, I get it? She's entitled to be frustrated, but I felt like it just... totally downplayed everyone else to be whining while her quirk provides her with so much freaking power." Arisu muttered as she commented one last time on the Meara situation.
She sat down with her water and listened as Rowan shared her reasoning for the club, looking from her to Chiyoko frequently, focused on each about half the time. "Well, I'm glad you did. This is something I kinda need the practice at, and I'm super happy you got it started, Rowan."
