APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
Probably the most noticeable feature of Chiyoko after, well, everything is the long, winding appendage that juts from the back of her head and reaches just below her hips. It is not unlike a serpent's tail in its appearance and she refers to it as her tail. She is incredibly tall with a firm, athletic and muscular build. Her ears are pointed and shaped a bit like one half of a butterfly.
Despite her serpentine features her skin texture is the same as a normal human's and therefore not scaly. She has a yellow V-shaped marking in the middle of her face, two curved purple stripes pointing downwards from it to the sides of her face and purple, blue, turquoise and yellow stripes along her tail. The rest of her skin is a vibrant pinkish-red.
Her teeth are slightly pointed, though they are not particularly sharp. Her irises are a shiny cyan like a pair of jewels and her pupils are black and the same as a normal human's pupils.
Her full physical appearance -
POSITIVE
✔ Friendly, loyal, humorous
NEGATIVE
✖ Overbearing, clingy, no sense of personal space
LIKES
✔ Machines, science, reptiles
DISLIKES
✖ Lateness, power cuts, the quiet
Personality:
Chiyoko is generally a bubbly, upbeat person who usually always has a joke to make, especially when she feels she needs to lighten the mood. She has a strong interest in all things technology and loves to take things apart to see how they work. Often she can be found playing around with some old device and she tries to build her own devices sometimes.
She is an incredibly loyal friend who will follow those she cares about to the ends of the Earth and back, though this trusting nature of hers can make her easy to manipulate. She is rather on the naive side of things and, while she's smart when it comes to technology, she is rather clueless in the ways of interacting with other people.
She can also be a bit too much of an overbearing chatterbox, not helped by her loose grasp of 'personal space', which means it's a common thing for her to get right up in someone's face and begin babbling at them incoherently. She cannot help being like this, as her talkative, bubbly nature is a mask for the insecurity and uncertainty she feels deep down and her regret over not being able to save her closest friend.

HISTORY
When Chiyoko was born, it was a bit of an 'oh crap' moment for her parents, as it was for the parents of many heavily mutated Quirkers. Unlike a lot of these parents, though, Chiyoko's parents at least had the decency to try and raise her, but they moved from the big city to the sparsely populated countryside hoping this would reduce harassment. And perhaps it did, but Chiyoko always felt like an oddity next to her Quirkless parents and two Quirkless older sisters, not helped by how her sisters would tease her and harass her by pulling her 'tail' when she was young.
She found a kindred spirit in a peculiar old man who lived in her village by the name of Professor Hashimoto, for he too possessed a mutation, one that left his entire body covered in green fur. That was hardly the most unique thing about him, though: he was a genius, eccentric inventor who's house was filled with machines of all kinds, which fascinated the young Chiyoko. Rumours around the village said that he had once worked for the government, but Chiyoko was too young to pay much mind to rumours.
Professor Hashimoto happily allowed Chiyoko to watch him work and test out his inventions, becoming a mentor and grandfather figure to her. It is thanks to him that she developed her love of technology.
One day when Chiyoko went to visit the professor, however, she found his door knocked down and a trail of destruction carved through his home all the way to his laboratory. Professor Hashimoto lay there in a pool of his own blood. Horrified, tears streaming down her face, Chiyoko ran to his side and cried out through broken sobs to know what had happened.
The professor lived long enough to tell her that the villains he had fled from years ago had finally tracked him down. He had long stopped developing the kinds of weapons they had wanted from him, but they had taken as much of his data and inventions they could get their hands on anyway. With that, he passed away in her arms.
Chiyoko vowed there and then to hunt down the villains who killed the professor and avenge him, and to make sure no one else will have to lose a close friend the way she did. To that end she has arrived at UA with the goal of becoming a hero - maybe a bit late, yes, but better late than never.
