She sat on the staircase on the second floor, leading to the living quarters. Her laptop was in her hands as she sat comfortably, her legs crossed. The floor was vacant, with not a single soul. It was where she had planned to house the Storm Knights, as their headquarters, only it had seemed as if they had other plans. She felt lost, abandoned even. She had no rush to set up all of the supplies. Dummies, punching bags and other equipment sat in a pile on the other side of the staircase. Her office vacant after relocating herself to the third floor. With the late morning, the club was mostly vacant. She had hired a great handful of new staff. Some were there part time, and were just like anyone else. Even in the mornings everyone got into costume. Some enjoyed it, while others soon left. She had to juggle and manage all of her staff. Each one and their positions. Some wanting to dabble in her shadier, but still legal dealings, while others just wanted to work and go home. She was good and remembering who wanted to do what. But it wasn't keeping her good employees in check, it was keeping the villainous ones away from being noticed. Kasey sat on the steps, her fingers typing away at the various messages online. Her own attire rather bare and simple. Loose sweats over her legs. Her feet bare. Her top covered by a short sleeved dress shirt, opened and unbuttoned. Her chest covered by the bandages that wrapped around her body. She was not one to be tricked by supports, or any brassier. And she wasn't taught otherwise. She was waiting for one person however. Someone, unlike the others, she didn't pay on the hour, but by the job. She didn't hand him checks either, but cash directly. Einar. She wasn't sure, or couldn't remember if he had started already, or was recovering so he could. She didn't know if he had moved in already, or was getting ready to. When he was ready, she was sure he would appear, and all of the rules and policies, she would quickly go over with him, along with anything else. Kasey stretched out her legs, extending them. Her light gray sweatpants getting caught on a step, her right pantleg rolling up to her knee. Her sky blue shirt still remained over her pale skin. Scars and bandages covered her skin, from head to tow. All of the various injuries and pains she endured, both in the name of evil, and good. She had to prepare herself for the end of the year. With Chrismas, or as she called it, Christophermas, New Years was around the corner. It was something she had to ready herself for. After all, it was a celebration. ~ Word Count: 471 ~ |

Having called in a ride from the cell phone he had been given at their prior meeting, Einar arrived in a private car courtesy of Ketsujo Corp. It was clear he was still recovering by the way he walked, kind of staggered in his slow deliberate steps. Waving off the driver with a quiet thanks and bow of his head, his voice was still sore. He was still in his dirty clothes, filthy with old blood, and under his jacket, one could see a slew of bandages wrapped tight around his chest and arms. Under his pants was more of the same. He really shouldn't have been walking too much, but he had opted to get settled in at his new job to make things easier on himself. Pulling out the bottle of medication K had provided for him, and a freshly purchased bottle of water, from the bag his new employer had given him with everything he needed for the job and getting in contact he had also taken the liberty of also putting in the two novels he owned, he swallowed a dosage and sighed. This was likely going to be a new kind of hell to adjust to after so many years. He was going to miss his old hell, as painful as it was, it was familiar and he was good at thriving in it. He took a glance over the building's entrance, The Pink Jackal, huh?
Stepping up to the doorway, he spoke his name and reason to the doorman, being directed up to the second floor. Giving a quick bow of his head and a quiet thank you, he shuffled his way inside and moved toward the stairs. Thud. Thud. Thud. Thud. His boots seemed to resound in the stairwell as he made his slow ascension, kneeling at the top after a small stumble on the top step, catching himself on his hands. Pushing himself up onto his feet and slinging the bag over his shoulder, he looked over toward the source of a shadow, and with it two stretched legs. He didn't say a word, only extending out his arm to help the woman stand up.

"I've been waiting." she would simply say, looking up at his hands, but did not take the offer to rise. She was far too comfortable where she was. "We can discuss the terms of your contract, and we can sign it in my office. Or, if you want to work more under the radar, we can discuss that as well... and well, still print a contract to still have more unofficial terms." Kasey was settled into her role, and would not change her mindset. For now, she would retain her rather professional approach. She let the computer to the side, extending her hand, not to be assisted up, but to greet him. "Here, you will know me as Crimson Skull, or if you wish, Kasey." she would say to him. If he shook her hand or not, didn't matter much to her. She would simply get back to typing to record and note all and any details she could. ". . . or rather, would you like to see your quarters first? Maybe even shower before we begin?" She wasn't so much as telling him he smelled, but with their last conversation noting his lack of a residence, or anything to his name for that matter, she figured it was worth the gesture. ~ Word Count: 213 ~ |

Letting his hand return to his side as Kasey turned down his offer to help her stand up, Einar listened to her talk of contractual terms and the other business-oriented things in regards to his job. Hearing her reveal yet another few names to refer to her as, and extending her arm out to shake hands, he gripped it firmly and gave her a solid few shakes. "Nice to meet you properly...Crimson Skull. I'm not really used to dealing with contracts, but I- I trust you'll work with me on that when we're discussing everything," he replied, sounding a bit uneasy about using what sounded like a real name when the woman took liberties to protect her identity earlier.
At the mention of going to his quarters and perhaps a shower, he could only drop his head slightly and look away, but it was hard to tell if it was embarrassment or agreement until he piped up with a quiet tone, "I- Yeah, I think a shower and some fresh clothes are...well overdue. Would you mind showing me where they are, and excusing me for a little bit to...clean myself up?" He couldn't bring himself to look at her after that, but if she led he'd follow.

She lifted her ass off of the stairs, folding her laptop and tucking it under her right arm. She would begin to turn to face up the staircase to move to the third floor. "Club and warehouse on the first, training area on the second, living quarters and my office on the third, and the roof is the fourth." She would tell him, walking up the staircase, having him follow behind. As they were met with the third floor landing, Kasey would point to the left as soon as they got up to the floor. "Bathrooms that way, a shower and bath in each. Don't care how much water you use, just don't keep people waiting." She would circle around the right side of the stairs, pointing at the hallways and doors. "This first hallway is off limits for now, that way is other housing. Your room will be the one directly ahead. I've already gotten you a few changes of clothing, both uniform and not. Didn't know your exact size, so I got a few." She would tell him, strolling forward, only to set her computer on the long dinner table arrangement. She would pull out her own seat to get settled. "You don't have to stay in full outfit when you're in the back, though at least having one of the soft half masks would be appreciated. Less of a company policy, more of the fact that I would prefer if the other employees don't remember your face. For your safety and theirs."~ Word Count: 255 ~ |

Following his employer up the stairs, Einar was sure to keep a reasonable distance so as not to crowd her on the stairwell. Listening to her quick explanation of the club's layout, he nodded. When she said she picked up a few different sizes of outfits and told him where his room was, he nodded and replied after she had gone over the importance of wearing at least one of the half-masks while at work, "Alright, thank you for that. If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go get washed up and into some clean clothes." Moving into his new room, Einar set down the bag with both his things and company things, and looked over the clothes Kasey had bought him. Grabbing one of the outfits that was his size, it was stylish and casual: black slacks and a simple white tank-top. Those in hand, along with a freshly opened package of boxers and the last of a roll of bandage, he made his way to the restroom and with it, a hot shower.
Tossing his old dirty clothes into a pile, Einar relished the hot water, soap, and shampoo as he vigorously worked to tidy himself up and make himself more presentable. It was about 7 minutes, but it had felt like forever and certainly made him feel better as he dried off and re-bandaged himself as best he could before heading back out to put his old clothes in the washing machine, taking the time to actually read how to wash them for once. Getting that started, he moved to the large long dining table and took a seat next to Kasey.

She took her seat while he adjusted to his new living situation. She really didn't pay him much mind as she went about his duties. She opened her computer and begun to open a few documents and files to look over and view for a final time before sending them out. With a few moments of typing away he would head over to the bathroom. Kasey pulled up another blank document, and begun to fill in the blanks with information and details. Einar. Warehouse manager. Inventory logging. Employee housing. Paid lunches. Paid breaks. Flexible hours. She had it all there, all of it typed up and ready to be viewed over. But it wasn't her choice to make, but his. As he continued to do his thing, reading over the machines, Kasey begun to play videos of her favorite idol, singing. When he was done and took his seat, she would close the tab, only to return to the document, their contract for his job. But it was a question of how legal he wanted to be. She would set the computer before the both of them, letting him glance over it. "Living quarters. Required to count shipments at least once a day. Doesn't matter what hours, as long as you show up. Paid by job, not hourly, and free housing. Plus other legal jargon. Anything else?" she would ask him, wondering where his concerned lay. ~ Word Count: 237 ~ |

Sitting down next to Kasey, Einar read over the forms and terms presented in front of him. Everything looked to be in order, at least as far as he knew. He listened and read as she went over a few tings with him, scratching his head at some of legal words he didn't really understand. He wasn't very experienced with legal things, and this was in fact going to be his first paying job, once he recovered a bit more. Taking his time in reading over some of the more important parts, two or three times to make sure he could actually understand at least most of it, he nodded to himself as he went along. Einar's voice was rough as he spoke up, "Everything looks fine to me, but I'm not very used to some of these words. If anything comes up, I'll ask you, if that's alright. Is there anything I need to sign before I go get settled in and unpack the bag you gave me?" Looking over at Kasey, he looked almost forlorn at the memory of recent events that had led up to this and spoke up again, "I won't waste this chance. I really do owe you, for all of this. Thank you, Kasey."
