Did she know him? Did anyone know him? He was a man who went by a single letter of his name, hiding his past behind it. He was a villain turned hero in her eyes, but he was nothing more than a vigilante. Kasey never used that middle word, especially when he was a hero in training. "Do I know him?" She repeated her words back to her. She leaned on the counter, getting in a bit closer to the girl. Kasey took a deep inhale, swallowing the aroma of the woman. She wasn't drunk, but she was getting there. But if any question explained anything, she knew far more about the girl, than Kasey had originally thought. "He's my-" No, she was not going to fall into this now. If she was his woman, if she was supposed to be known, he would have mentioned them. Gigi would have told Mizuki about herself. He would have told Kasey Mizuki's first name. No, they were not supposed to know each other. He made it that way, Kasey was not going to mess that up. Not yet. ". .. good friend. We both opened up this place together. I had the money, he had the contacts." she would tell the woman, in her own mind, backtracking and making up a completely different story than what was real. "That must have been why you came here. I bet he still has a few of the bills going to his little house."That smell. It was familiar. That wasn't his new child. No. This woman had to have moved in already. It was why he never met with her. He was busy with his family. He didn't have time for Kasey anymore. He didn't have time for anyone else but his family. That was okay. Kasey wasn't going to get in the way. As long as he was happy. ~ Word Count: 316 ~ |

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away She had realized before that she did not know him. Gil had changed, which was an obvious thing between the age of six and twenty-five. It would be very bad if he did not but she thought she knew him from time to time and yet, she was surprised about meeting Kenshin for example and it surprised him again when Macabre talked to her and she did not know what to say and took the fourth glass, this time not frozen in surprise but out of frustration. Should she tell him that she needed no protection? The two of them knew both that, that was a lie. She had to call him when she was in trouble but it would be nice if she was not so useless. If she had a quirk or something that would actually be of help or that she could defend herself long enough, that might be a good thing. Maybe she should ask G to help her, or you know, go back to training kickboxing, that would be good. She slammed the shot glass back on the counter, not too hard to make a problem or to get others their attention but it would be nice back in the line with the others and she wanted more to forget more of her thoughts, she was close to becoming tipsy if she continued like this. Maybe Macabre was another one of the people she was not allowed to know because she was sure that they were there. Ah good friend, this she could have expected. She only turned her blue eyes with surprise at Macabre, he owned this place? "So he is a shareholder?" Because if he was, why complain about work, why complain about money? She did not get it. For some reason, it felt only more weird to be here and look around, as if he knew that she was here and it would have been very awkward if she had asked him to come along and she felt close to tears. Was she separating him from where he belonged because he wanted to protect her? They should perhaps really break up. "Oh no I came here... I came here to forget about today in general." She decided to say but there was obviously a moment that she had to catch her breath and not let the tears come down. Nanami. G. Everything this week sucked. She hated Christmas, she hated New Years and she hated that she ruined his life without him even realizing. Maybe she should go home, but at this point, she wasn't sure if she could stand on her legs, not because of the alcohol but because of the rush of emotions. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Kasey reached behind the counter to take up the bottle again. With her left, she got another collection of shot glasses and rowed another eight. The bottle would be opened only to pour out another eight glasses for the both of them. If the woman had nothing to say, then Kasey would continue until told otherwise. "If only he were that simple." Kasey would say, "He never takes any of my money. I thought putting it in both our names would help, but even so, he never takes a handout. And now since he's well, dead," Kasey would shrug, nodding at his own wishes to remove his own records. Kasey knew that much. She might not have known everything, but to watch deeds and titles change were enough for her to notice. But she would go on, admitting to some other unknown issue. Putting the cap back onto the large glass bottle, she took up another glass and swallowed it without a pause or break in motion. She would flip it upside down, and begin to stack her glasses, creating a pyramid. "You know," Kasey would begin, unsure of where her words were coming from. Maybe it was the drink talking, maybe the music, but either way, she as going to tell her. "You're the nicest girl he's been with, at least that I met." Kasey's face would begin to redden, though it was unapparent if it was the drink, or her feelings. "I suppose that new kid of his is in my old room too.""Fuck. The money." Instantly, Setsuna was reminded of all of the wads of cash, gold and other treasures left in that room. If that kid found all of it, then it surely could get worse, much much worse. But perhaps there was time. Sure, there had to be time. ". . . She didn't, happen to suddenly become wealthy, did she? The eldest child, that is." Kasey asked, perhaps something personal, but she was ready to shine her truth at any given moment. ~ Word Count: 339 ~ |

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away For a few seconds Hanako wondered if eight shots were ago, she felt already a bit dizzy in her mind, or foggy, words took longer, she felt the barrier that she upheld to shut her mouth when it was necessary, to formulate the right words were there but was colliding very slowly yet sturdy. She had expected to be better with alcohol than she really was at this point and maybe that was disappointing and should she have been just on the couch in the outskirts and in G's arms, watching some television instead of sitting at a bar, thinking about him all the time and drinking. "No thanks, I want to be able to think." She held up her hand. She gave a wry smile to Macabre, hoping that she had not ruin the fun but the fact that they were talking about G made her want to keep her brain cells together to formulate words. She felt a shiver going down her spine when Macabre said dead, even if she knew what she meant, after all, she had just called him Gabe, so it was quite clear, it still felt so wrong and it left a bad taste in her mouth. But she knew that he seemed to be eager to pay her pack for even the taxi she paid for or the resort, and she did not care, she basically never had spent her money better, apart perhaps from the penthouse. She looked at the glasses when Macabre went to make a pyramid of it. She turned her blue eyes back to Macabre as she seemed to linger on her words and she felt a blush creep up very quick on her cheeks because even if it was just a small thing, not even entirely to do with her, she felt it was a big compliment. And yet she thought about breaking up with him, only to protect him from ruining his future. "Do you- do you think he is happy with me?" Would he tell Macabre? Would he still come here now he was dead on paper. The later question surprised her, "Miku? No. I would rather think that Haruuhi seems to be very rich, considering the paperwork needed to no longer ehm... exist?" How to say it without putting off people that might be eavesdropping, albeit she doubt people really were concerned with that. She did not know the kids very well, she had met Miku, a wonderful one, very open and honest in a good way, with her presents that she bought while her dad said no. MADE BY VEL OF GS

She shrugged, if the woman didn't want them, then more for her. Kasey took shot after shot, hammering them down as she spoke. Each one was met with a sour look on her face as she powered through the last of it. There was no sense wasting perfectly good drink. "More for us." she would say, smiling and stacking her little glasses as she continued along her self destructive path. Kasey would laugh with her next words, still finding it all amusing. She held far too much power, too much influence for one person, although, she was not just one person. Kasey had taken the roles of four completely different people, and each one of them had their own little helper in the back of their mind, guiding them along their desired path. "You got to meet his eldest before I did. Besides, if he hasn't warned you about me yet, then he definitely cares about you." Kasey smiled, moving aside from her pyramid as she listened to the next words about the kid. Haruuhi. She was rich, and was able to pay for it all? No, that was far too simple for it to be just that. No, she knew what it was from. "Normally, I could see someone getting mad about having someone raid their secret stash. But if Haruuhi paid for that kinda thing for G, and he accepted it, I guess I can't get mad." Kasey laughed, setting both her hands on the counter, her arms wide and squared. "Looks like I was able to buy him a new life after all, even if indirectly." Kasey was far too open, speaking far too many words. The drinks were settling in. "I offered to do the same for him a long time ago, but he insisted doing it his way. Funny man he is."Wait. Did she say us? Oh, well she certainly wouldn't linger on that would she? Wasn't like she would assume two people with silver hair, and had a quirk that was it's own being would lead her to believe... that they were siblings of some kind. Ha, that would be absurd! ~ Word Count: 359 ~ |

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away Hanako believed to keep her brain was a good thing. There were a lot of things she needed to consider and a lot of things that she needed to keep in mind. She had to write later today, she would have to apologize to G for ruining Christmas if he even thought so, she would have to work, make a column about Pink Jackal, she had so much to do! She shook her head lightly, actually closed her eyes for a second and moved her head one time from right to left as if making sure she understood it correctly, more for us? Maybe she just used the wrong word as Hanako was not drinking with her but she let it slide. It did not matter, it would not explain anything and she did not want to even wrap up her brain about things that she could not understand or did not want to be too interested in. She leaned again with her left cheek on her hand. "Why would he need to warn me about his friend?" She felt it again, it was that Kenshin had visited them, but she also had the slightest idea that G forgot she was there. "I more thing he wants to keep you all away from me, not sure if that's either protection for me or just not showing me who..." She should not finish her sentence, he wasn't the one to blame. She was useless, of course, he would keep a useless being like her a secret. Also wasn't Miku the eldest? She wasn't sure what to think about all this it only made her more sad, confused and panicky. Which was a bad thing to do because it were just thoughts and it was just the next day that made it this way. Or well, normally she did not count minutes after midnight already that day because she had not slept yet. Shi,t she would have to work, maybe she should just stay home or get in later. She did not get what Macabre meant, did she live in that house? Did Haruuhi steal her money or found money lying around that was hers? Wait, maybe the us wasn't a mistake but who was it, did she, no her mind was really going crazy. Maybe she should drink more. "Well, I am glad he got it." Even without the drinks and her head being jumbled with many thoughts, she remembered what she had said. We can get married. Which idiot says that when they are dating for two months! Only already remembering that made her cheeks turn bright red like a strawberry. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Everything was just another paragraph in some grand story or tale. Each part of their lives was a chapter. Each day a page. Some stories went on forever with sequel after sequel. Others, were no longer than a poem. Some just ended that way. Others were cut short. Stories never finished. Even series would have to make notes to keep up with them. Kasey's tale was one that took more than just a shelf. No, it was it's own library. "Which one of-" she paused, answering the girl, her mind dazed as she danced around the topic. "Right, me. Well, Japan doesn't take lightly to vigilantes, much less one that pass so close to the vest." She would shrug at the thought of exposing all of her secrets, but if she was Gigi's lover, perhaps she was safe. "Out of any of his friends, I can confirm, I am in fact the most dangerous one. But I'll keep you safe, just make sure you're good at following directions." Kasey would stand erect, jabbing a thumb to point behind her, towards the warehouse back of the building. "You got time? We can go to the upper floors, it's much more quiet, plus other non-booze drinks if you're all liquor'd out."She didn't linger on the words of the other girl, or what the money paid for, but Kasey would soon learn it was her fault for the entire mistake. She put the money there, and a whole family would be in danger. But that was not today. It was not tomorrow. But it would be soon. "If you're fighting with him, or if the kids are too much, I'm sure staying here would be close enough to not chase after you, and far enough to give you space. My doors are always open." Kasey would say. And if she allowed, they would both head up to the back of the club, up the stairs, and slowly make their way to the third floor. ~ Word Count: 333 ~ |

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away The conversation only got more confused, why would she have to follow orders and why were his friends dangerous? Surely they should not all be the nice and lovely kind of people especially considering being an ex-criminal and now a vigilante but you could meet nice people as well. Macabre had her weird moments but she did not seem to be dangerous, how looks could be deceiving. She got up as Macabre did, it was only a joke, right? Following directions was now, it wasn't like orders, she made that mistake so she followed to the upper floors. Was she in danger? If this woman was the most dangerous one but she was also the best friends, she had said that. Her mind only got more confused and even if she had not had that much, she had to grab the bar to not stumble over. It was probably her clumsy genes and the alcohol and heels that did not make it right. She felt a twist in her stomach and had the feeling that she would have to puke but she swallowed it down, took a deep breath and followed the girl in front of her. As she followed, she considered what the woman before her said and wondered. Should she tell, her brain told her that it might not be the best thing to do but as they were walking up the stairs it felt so important. "It's not a fight. It's actually that I do not believe I am..." here came the word. "Good enough. I believe he has a vision of a complete other future than I do." And the worst thing was that they did not even talk about many things, heck they had not talked about any future prospective since they got together, she only remembered something he said on their meeting at the same cafe after a year of their reunion. They had not talked about where to live, what to do and so on and she had not even wanted to consider that. This was another reason why she had a fight with Kazuto, why start that up again with a guy she did like. MADE BY VEL OF GS

They were strangers, tied to each other by a single man. A woman who came for a scoop over some mysterious scandal, and a woman who held some of the darkest secrets in Japan. Both of them tied to each other, linked, by a single white haired man. G. The two of them climbed steps until they would reach the third floor. Stairs that had dim lighting themselves, only iluminated by the lights on the floors themselves. "Then you need to throw a few curve balls." she would say with a light giggle. Her hands would reach to her vest, only to let loose the body that hid under the form fitting shirt. Even if, her shape left little to the imagination. "Change your make up, get a new wardrobe, or better yet, a hair cut," she would stop, a few steps from their destination. She would turn around to her guest, only to reach to her own head, lightly touching her silver hair. "Or dye it, like I did." She would turn back around to continue their adventure deeper into her estate. "Let the man know how special you are." she would say, stepping in, and walking backwards with hre arms opened, as if to show off the floor. "Let him know how pretty that head of yours is. Stand tall, stand proud. Speak your mind." Kasey would smile, "You're in my lair. No one will find you, unless you yourself want to be found. But it's up to you, who you want to become." The drink was talking, and her words were starting to make less and less sense. But perhaps she had a point. ~ Word Count: 278 ~ |

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away How little she knew in a world where she had lived for what seemed to be forever. How blind she had been for influence and red threads between people. She still was, her own pink might be connected to one man but the others now suddenly had very thin, almost invisible threads towards other people that came with him, his children, his friends, colleagues anything. She was unsure, unsure of what to think and at this point of the night unsure how to think. It did not matter for tonight, even if she had not drunk so much as Macabre, she was in a state of being tipsy and confused, not the most perfect combination. She felt wobbly on her heels and the stairs, and there did not seem to be an ending towards the stairs until they finally reached the third floor and she was so glad to be done with those stairs that she simply looked at them as if she had just vanquished an enemy. She did not want to change her outfits, okay maybe she should get used to pants... "Eh, he doesn't look at my clothing." She remembered and at that point, she had laughed but her confused, tipsy version was more offended because he basically did not pay attention to her, maybe she should try some new clothes. She followed Macabre for a few steps and thought about it, but she liked her long hair too, did he look at that. The blonde looked up when Macabre said she should dye her hair. "I want to stop dying it." She said without further thinking about it, "This is bleached and blonde, I suppose to be black haired." Would he notice that? She followed Macabre into the room and she was glad to be here, no one will find her. She wanted to stay away from the world for a while. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Kasey was once a nobody. Her story may have been a hell of an origin story for a hero who came to save everyone, but that was not her story. Hers was built on betrayal, deception and corruption. She was trained to play people to her advantage. She was raised to feed on others. She was taught to use and abuse others. But she didn't. That wasn't what she wanted. And even if she had all of the tools in the world to expose her brother and his new lower, it was not a method she would use. Not yeat at least. "But I bet he looks at your face, if not at least your figure." Kasey would say, her words spilling out without any thought. The girl would laugh, only to ponder more thoughts. "Well, if it's anything. Black is much different than the pinkettes and green-haired vixen's I've seen him with." Kasey would tell the woman thinking about Sophie and Susumu respectively. She always planned to dye her hair, though could never settle on wither black or violet. It was the reason Kasey stuck to her many wigs, something tucked away in her own room. Kasey would head into her office, a room that she had to pass to get to her own bedroom. "Black, right? like raven black?" she would ask, directing her to take a seat on one of the cushioned sofas as she would go to her own room to fetch the materials. ~ Word Count: 249 ~ |

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away At her face? Why had she complained that he did not look at her clothing while he might just look at her face, because that made sense? It did, right? It was even a better answer than looking at clothing and looking at only her figure, even when she knew it was kind of logical to look at her figure, didn't she also check him out from time to time. That was only normal right and she felt less agitated about the idea. It had mostly to do with her sister, of course, everyone always looked at Nanami with her beautiful legs and looks and everything that could make Hanako jealous. Maybe it was this time of the year that made her extra sensitive of that and the stupid feeling that she took something away from Nanami, which was ridiculous. G never liked her and Nanami was only four when he left. Why would she like him? The word vixens brought a shiver down her spine but it only confirmed with what she wanted. She wanted to be Hanako, just her, not trying to get the work done for so many things, in the sense of not being true to who she really was. Did she change so much? She obviously seemed to have done so. She went to sit on the sofa in what seemed to be an office, which only made sense if you worked her and she looked around while answering Macabre's question with an mhm. Raven black. When was the last time that she looked in the mirror and her hair was raven black? She must have been eighteen or so."You have hair dye here?" She asked and yet something told her that she did not have to be surprised at all. It made her giggly and excited. MADE BY VEL OF GS

"My sister and I were born with pink hair. It's our natural color, despite well, being unnatural." kasey would speak, walking back into the room. A bottle of dye on one hand, and a bottle of developer in the other. She didn't need a brush, or a tub, Kasey had no fear of burning her skin, nor staining it. She looked over the numbers, and looked back at the girl. "I couldn't decide if I wanted to dye it black, or purple. Instead, bleached it, and instead of blonde, I turned . . silver." She smiled, moving both bottles to her right hand as she reached with her left to take the hand of the woman to guide her to the showers to complete their task. "I also have like, green, and yellow, and more bleach, just in case." Kasey would speak again, "But also like hair chalk for when i go do my... hero stuff. White hair makes the costumes more fun. I never have to go out looking the same each time."Oh. Inconsistent costumes. Always a new outfit. That was why no one knew Lady Macabre. She never looked the same. "MAKER, DAMMIT." She would curse to herself. Only to take the steps to their new destination. Around the stairs and to the bathroom. "If this doesn't get his attention, we'll just have to buy you an eye patch, he has a thing for that pirates."Ha. Haha. Setsuna should have killed her when he had the chance. ~ Word Count: 250 ~ |

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away "Pink hair?" That must look very nice, she looked at Macabre her hair, she found the silver looking so natural but now understood why. Even if it was bleached like her own hair, the contrast of black hair to blonde and pink to silver was the same way. She took Macabre her hand, nervous and yet excited. It was mostly because she did not know this woman well enough and now she would do something as dying her hair. There were worse things but it was still something she might have to think more about. It would have been seven years since she last seen her own black hair. It was good that Macabre held her hand because it let her just follow her as a guide and not think too much about the consequences. If Macabre could dye her own hair, that could work out. She laughed a short chuckle when Kasey said there was green and yellow and more bleach. In case of a disaster, they would be good. Funny that she had it here in her home or well her office, it was probably her office. She wondered what Macabre meant with hero stuff but the prospect of Hair chalk was something she liked. "That's actually very useful. I am afraid the world is not yet ready for real heroes or whatsoever." Vigilantes. Did she make an assumption? Hell yes. She followed Macabre to the bathroom and looked for the best place to sit down, thank god she wasn't so tall, so it wouldn't be a problem. Her hair was just long, that would take some dye but she again had the feeling Kasey knew what she was doing. "An eyepatch?" She said surprised, he never said anything about that, probably for obvious reasons, but it surprised her and she looked at Macabre with that exact expression. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Bleach, it striped the pigments from your hair. All hair was shades of browns and yellows. Without the brown, you turned yellow, or blonde. With pink, the dark pigment of brown didn't exist. With pink, only the shade of red was present. Without it, ivory would remain. Something not many would expect, but with a world of quirks, maybe hair science wouldn't be enough. Another pink could bleach and it would come out blonde. It was a strange world. "Well, since you're already part of his life, I suppose I can spill a few secrets." Kasey would set her tools aside to make her way to the sink to clean her hands. She was gonna rinse Hana's head anyways, but if there was something on her hands, like dirt of blood, she didn't want it to taint the dye. Kasey would point over to the shower for Hana to dip her own head before they began. "Certified or not, the Pro-Hero Army of One also works here. She's both a sponsor, and kinda the head. So on paper, we're all her sidekicks. In reality, we're all working together."But Kasey didn't forget the question. "Long story. Started with a stalker. Ended with me ripping out my own eyeball." Kasey would say, turning around to look at Hana, wondering if she was too drunk to wash her own hair. ~ Word Count: 247 ~ [Kasey & Setsuna] || TrackerQuirks/Abilities: Spirit Harvest : C Iron Stomach : E | Out of Body Experience : F | Busy-ness License : D Regeneration : D |
