Day two of seven for Arata's special training course. In the first day, he trained with Mia, aka Redhorn, the Oni Yokai of Tokyo. The gargantuan brawler, and someone with a really mean left hook, right hook, and, pretty much everything violent that has to do with fists. He would definitely be sore, mostly from his own attempts, but, he wasn't going to divulge what happened to whoever showed up today. During his time today, he stood in the same training facility, safety mats lined the floors, from wall to wall, And this time, they lined the walls about ten feet high, just in case, because the dent in the wall was still there, from that one time. Yeah, it was being covered up by a gymnastics mat, just a super hero grade gymnastics mat!
Scrolling through his phone, Arata stood in the center of the facility, waiting for five people to show up, Mia could, or she could teach another course herself, it would be better if she was here, that way he wouldn't have to practice with one of his students! But, he excluded Yusaku, Elise, Tetsuko and Yoriko from the message. They would get their own special message.
To Yusaku, Elise, Tetsuko and Yoriko: Hey guys, I want you to know, you are Team 1, don't tell anyone else this, and I won't explain further, just get in touch with one another.
To everyone else in Class 1-B: Alright guys! It's your teacher, and it's time! The facility is open to the first five people, including our special teacher's aide, that show up! Everyone else will have to meet me tomorrow, those who come today are exempt from the rest of the training courses this week. Those who were here yesterday, are not receiving this message. Those who do not come to my training course at all, you will be sitting at the front of the class until your sophomore year, and getting your notes double checked! He included a teacher-like threat at the end of every message, but, he was a bit more serious about all of the threats this week, he wanted to see his class improve, so that he could make sure they could fend for themselves, and he could learn how reckless they were.
Arata was very underhanded, funny how that works when your quirk is nothing but hands. Underhanded in the sense that, he told no one his ulterior motives for anything, aside from his drawing costume concepts and coming up with ideas for his students. He was going to make sure that everyone had at least one Signature Move or Signature Style, by the end of this week. That Class 1-B would be known as the ones who evolved the quickest. And that he could get some inspiration from how his students view their quirks and he could apply some of his otaku knowledge to them, to help them improve upon what they are already attempting!
Now, he just had to wait and see who would be coming to the demonstration this day. Who would make up Team 2.

Miku was in her dorm, trying to make her laptop work. She had no connection and couldnt access the chat. She COULD use her phone, but who can write from THAT thing. Besides, last time she was on, some weirdo Luka was there. Which made her sig, she missed the class chat. She didnt wanna be exposed to the weirdos and the delinquents. Granted Akio was in 1C as well. But.... to choose between peace and love? Well, she chose peace. Why display public affection, thats gross. Miku sighed and closed her laptop. She quit trying to fix it.
Soon she heard her phone ring for a message. She took it and saw it was from Arata-Sensei. She was so excited. Miku took all her stuff and immediatelly ran over there. She was determined to be the best. Or at least decent. She practiced with her dad, she practiced Martial Arts with Darren. She wanted to ace this and master her Quirk and be useful. Not to mention she wants to beat up bad guys. No more miss nice girl. No more rescue hero. She was gonna kick ass. And if she sees Nick. He was gonna be minced meat
Miku soon arrived at the scene and saw her teacher "H-Hello sensei. How are you today?" she asked

You leave me here wondering if I'll ever know How much you care, or how much you don't If you're going to be somebody's last time, baby be mine. “ Class 1-B's teacher was an odd one indeed. He seemed to have some kind of issue with his home life and disappeared for some time between classes. However, it looked like he was taking some initiative for the class in the form of a special class with a special teacher's aide. Kyla didn't really know anything about it, but she was interested in what they were going to be doing. Ever since the events of the Kunshu Festival and Semper Fi, her quirk had been growing steadily. She was far from one of the strongest students in the school, but she had a nice array of skills and techniques to use through her quirk. Though, the way she fought was far less physical than most of the other students. She didn't know any fighting styles or owned any weapons. She was a pure offensive type in a way. Her quirk lent itself well toward the technological output greater than many of the other students. So what she was going to get from this class was going to be something else altogether. It would be really interesting. The text from her teacher came as she was eating a meal. Her phone sat next o her tray as she quietly munched on her food. As she took bites from her fork, she lazily scrolled through some online boards with her free hand. Her finger tapped and swiped the screen as she eyes scanned over what she was seeing and read what others had written. She was on a forum for some of the lets players she watched and, as usual, it was filled with memes. With the announces for animes, shows, and games happening around this time of year everyone had their own talk on the things that were going on and were eager to share the little jokes they made about them. And when her teacher's message came up, she moved her finger to the top of the screen to extend the message and read all that was written. It seemed it was time for a class, so Kyla finished up her food and popped a mint into her mouth before heading off to the training facilities. As for the class, she changed into her gym uniform. She was working to change how her costume was going to work and she had a few ideas on what she wanted to do. With her quirk advancing, she wanted to integrate her Nasod Core into her costume design. SHe id she could get it right, she could make her costume anything she wanted it to be. SHe was really excited about the idea. As for the class, when she arrived only the teacher and one other student was there. It was Miku, the timid and cute girl that had been in the class since the beginning. Both Miku and herself were a part of the original six girls in class 1-B and even with it being so far into the school year, Kyla hadn't talked to Miku all that much. Nonetheless, this class was going to prove a chance to get something like that done. "Hey, all." She spoke aloud, though her face was a stoic as ever. Her inability to express herself through her face was quite the odd trait. ”

The girl stood in the changing rooms, posing for the camera. A few feet in front of her, her phone was being held aloft by a crystal casing and set on a timer. A dozen pics later she was satisfied, and uploaded a picture to Instasnap. It was her in her gym uniform, hovering the peace fingers over her lips, with the caption: ‘I make it look good.’
She did her best to make it look good, anyway. The uniform was certainly iconic, but it was so bright it was almost gaudy. A few filters fixed that on camera, but in person… Bleh. Still, apparently they had to wear it, and if she had to look like a fashion failure, at least she wasn’t doing it alone. Arata had encouraged and/or threatened his students to come along, and she was more than happy to put in some work. His message left her with just one question, though…
“What’s wrong with sitting at the front of the class? Isn’t that where the best students sit?” She announced her presence by voicing her thoughts as she strolled into the gym. It looked like she’d arrived a little too early – besides the man of the hour, there were only two girls ready to roll. Bulb Head and Flat Blondie would be her rivals for the day. Oddly enough, that put a smile on her face. She was still new, and it wasn’t often that she got a chance to compare herself to her peers, even if it was just a few of them. If she did well, she would be sending a message, and if she did terribly… At least only a few of them were there to see it.

After being discharged from the hospital, Kogami was going through a few changes. The semper fi events were something that took a mental toll on the young hero, the things that he saw, the things that he got to experience while being there. He still had nightmares at times, he still dreamt of the failures and the fact that he misplaced his trust in someone when he thought she was a hero of some kind. Even if she was a vigilante, the amount of individuals that were at stake during the events of the whole psychotic gene exposure, he didn't care. As long as they were able to do something about it and save people, he didn't necessarily care about the method. Was that when he started to fall? His thought patterns scared him, it woke him up at night to a dark and lonely hospital bed. This continued for quite a few days upon his release, catching up on the article in regards to what occurred. He wanted to see the other two, their janitor and Naoru Kehai. He was supposed to be a distraction but only lasted for a moment, he wanted to apologize for that, he wanted to take responsibility for that. He spent the few weeks healing, But the best things that he could do now while taking responsibility was to continue to go to class while he could, a special lesson was set on the bulletin board of the 1-b sms in regards to more combat training. He saw Arata sensei get into a fight before, things were a little slippy and he wondered if fights always ended up that way. It seemed to Kogamy that he ended up answering his own question in regards to it. It was supposed to be more special this time, so Kogami HAD to go. MAybe he could have been excused, but he decided to go anyway. There were alot a few rumors he heard about Miku seeing someone, in which Kogami felt happy for her. Miku didn't get out much, and she was finding everything at the school to be a new experience. "..................."Was he jealous? He wasn't sure......
Kogami was about 80 percent at the time upon arriving at the gym to make it to this class. A pocket full of snacks was his own form of liquid courage as he arrived, wearing overalls and already having a lollipop in his mouth. He immediately saw the person he wanted to see and avoid at the same time, trying to ignore the feeling of pain he got from that jolt of surprise. "It's nothing.... just forget about it.""Hey Arata sensi, Miku, Kyla.....and.........."
He didn't know the last girl's name but he did a brief bow to her. "You was here last time...right.....?"
He left it at that, but as much as he wanted to chat with people or even find out why they never messaged him or went to see him, Kogami chose not to interrupt the class. "

As everyone arrived, Arata would mark them off on his phone. Ticking them off with his thumb as he used it to scroll through the class, his other hand in his jacket pocket. "Hey Miku, you're first. Glad to see you again. Aaaand, Kyla, you're second. Alright." He said while marking down as Emi showed up along with Kogami. "Alright, that's enough for this round, unless Redhorn shows up to be our assistant, but, she's not obligated to." He muttered to himself while he looked up to everyone with a smile, "Alright, we have a good blend here, just, give me a moment to message the rest of the class." He started to type out a message on his phone.
Alright gang, Miku, Kyla, Emi, Kogami, Elise, Tetsuko, Noriko and Yusaku have all been here, so they are exempt from this class and will not be seeing this message. As for the rest of you, There are five more days to participate. Either you show up, or you will be getting an extra assignment. And I will be personally grading it, don't test me, that's my job. He finished off the message with an Ascii text picture of one of his quirk's gloves.
After that, he spoke to the four that were present. "Alright, first off, we haven't spent a lot of time together as a class, and, I am changing that. So, until further notice, you four are to be considered Class B's Beta Team. The Alpha team met yesterday. And, you are going to be learning to work with each other, and against each other, if only to help one another improve." He paced back and forth while speaking to them, hands folded behind his back, and tucked under the tail of his jacket. The hood was pulled up, as usual, covering his head and neck.
"After Semper Fi, I have come to think about a few things. One, I don't wanna see you guys get hurt again. Two, I can't keep you all safe, all the time. So, I'm going to be a better teacher, and make you learn how to protect yourselves by forcing you to strengthen those quirks!" He said while spinning around, striking up an exaggerated pose of leaning back, balancing on the weight of his feet while one hand flailed about in the air, muttering about how Jonjon characters always made these poses look easier.
"All of you, are going to learn how to make a signature move, or a signature style. Say you have a super strength quirk, you might not be able to make a signature move such as a super powered long range punch, but, if you focus on punching, and haven't thought about your legs, you might develop a style based around your legs and increasing your speed. Or, say you have the ability to shoot lasers from your eyes, you might not have a lot for styles, but, you can develop different ways to use it against reflective surfaces or going cross yed to hit multiple targets, thereby making it a signature move!" He explained before going further.
"See, the point of these signatures, for every super powered person, is that they not only provide you a new avenue to improve upon, but, you also have the dopamine build up as a result of you shouting your style or move to the heavens. So, I want you all to talk about your quirks, and then make a suggestion as to what you might be able to do with it. And then, I will help out with you coming up with something. As I said, this class isn't done until you all have a signature move or style."

After Miku arrived Kyla. Miku waves to her. Then Emi, the uTuber "I feel like I should focus on uTube more. But UA kept me busy. Im not able to make videos as much as Im used to" Miku thought to herself which made her a bit sad.
And then lastly came her good friend Kogami, who she hasnt seen in a while. Was he sick? Or maybe she was too busy to notice him. She did nonstop training, either at school, or her dad, or Darren and his martial arts group or all combined. Not to mention it was december and she was on a shopping spree. She even got gifts for the teachers. Not to mention that earlier today she showed a new student around the school. She was busy physically and exhausted mentally.
And now it looks like she was the first. That was cool. Though did that mean she had to come with with a signature move first. Oh crapola. She gets stage fright going first doing anything. There are these eyes on her watching her if she does good.
Miku didnt wanna get too ahead of herself so she listened to Arata sensei. She was in the Beta Team. Ok, thats not good that means she's only 2nd best. She wondered who was in the Alpha team "I bet it's Elise. She's little miss perfect." Miku thought to herself. The girl who managed to transfer to the Hero Course from General Studies. She really was the little miss perfect. Miku wasnt as good as her. She needed to change that and be better.
She continued to listen to Arata sensei "After Semper Fi, I have come to think about a few things. One, I don't wanna see you guys get hurt again. Two, I can't keep you all safe, all the time. So, I'm going to be a better teacher, and make you learn how to protect yourselves by forcing you to strengthen those quirks!"
But that lil speech made her feel deja vu. She could've swore she heard this exact same speech. Granted what she heard was more vulgar "Ok, listen up. I'm sure y'all heard that Thunder escaped from his containment. So, it is my duty to protect you from the guy who shoots thunder, craps lightning, eats lightning, craps thunder. And, you know kids. I am not around you 24/7. As much as I wanna be. I cant be. So! I'm gonna teach you all my secret street fighting technique of how to contain an Emitter who tries to attack you."
No, she focused and snapped back to reality. Arata explained what a signature move is. As far as Miku understood it. That was a super move they could use. Her dad had one or two or few. Hydro Gun, Water Whip, Water Bullet and well the dirty cheap shot attack, First Impression. Miku also had a few ideas, but she never tested how to pull them off.
Now as she understood, they needed to talk about Quirks. "Ok, so plant manipulation." she spoke, she didnt even know to who. God how she hated being first "Well... I have ideas but I dont know if I have the capability" she barely said. Its as if her mouth was the sahara desert with how dry it was. She hated being first. Note to self, next time, dont go first.

You leave me here wondering if I'll ever know How much you care, or how much you don't If you're going to be somebody's last time, baby be mine. “ As the teacher spoke, Kyla remembered about the things that happened in Semper Fi. While she was underground in that dark bunker, a lot of horrible actions were taken place by the military above them. She was sure that it would turn into an international incident and that a lot of her classmates and civilians were harmed during the tragedy. Between this and the Kunshu Festival, Kyla was troubled by the things that were taking place, but that drove her even further toward her goal of being a hero. Things like that shouldn't just happen and Kyla wanted to make sure that she could put a stop to them. Not just here in Japan, but in her home country of America as well. Part of her was surprised that she wasn't forced to return home because of it all though. Did anyone outside of Japan even know? If they didn't, that was even more troublesome. But, it also kicked off this lesson and Arata was dead set on making sure they could defend themselves. He wanted them to come up with a personal style and even signature moves. This was actually something that Kyla had previous training on with her tutor back home. That old man was quite the instructor and she wondered what he thought about her progress now that she was here at Yuuei. A lot had changed since then and she was interested in showing off what she had come up with for her quirk. As she grew stronger she unlocked different functions of her Nasod Core and she felt like she was becoming a technological queen of sorts. But with all that in mind, Kyla raised her hand to speak up after Miku had down so. "Umm...I already have a few things of my own." Kyla started as she pointed her lowered hand toward the wrist of her raised one. It was obvious to see the small nodes on her wrist and that being what she wanted him to focus on. "I don't have a fighting style per se, but I've got some interesting moves I think." She added. She wasn't trying to brag, but Kyla already had an idea of what kind of things she could do. Between her spears and her felids, the girl had an array of weapons at er disposable. And now that she had access to her blue fields Kyla was confident she could come up with something really cool. She looked over at Miku and gave the girl a nod. She hadn't seen much of her quirk, but plant manipulation was the type of quirk that had a lot of versatility to it. It was an odd opposite of Kyla's technology-based mutation, but she was interested in not only what she could do, but Emi and Kogami as well. And that train of thought served to lead to another. Namely, what could their teacher do? "How about you Arata-sensei? Do you have a signature move too?" She asked, hoping to get a cool demonstration. ”

Nobody answered her. They barely even acknowledged her, besides looking to see who had walked in. No, that was fine. She didn’t care. Didn’t the irritation in her eyes show that she didn’t care? At least one of them tried to greet her – a boy she seldom saw outside of their classroom, and even then he wasn’t around often. Even if she hadn’t taken the time to learn all of her classmates’ names, Kogami had been on the receiving end of one of the better Semper Fi articles, and she made it her job to know anybody of interest.
To have somebody not return the favour, mere days after she’d created Yuei’s first viral video… Stung a little. But she definitely didn’t care.
“Emi Ryoko Tachibana,” she recited, just in case the name rang a bell. At least he was polite about forgetting, which put a stop to her growing frown. “I’m around, yeah. In your class. A lot. Every day for the past few weeks, even. Good to see you're around, Kogami.” No, of course she didn’t care.
Whatever. Arata had something to say, though she wasn’t done wondering what she had done to deserve such treatment. The mention of Red Horn prompted her to raise an eyebrow. She would have been more surprised if she hadn’t met the woman before, but still… Why would she be at the school? They’d spoken about that very matter, and the pro had made it clear that she didn’t want to be roped in as a teacher. …A mystery for another time, hopefully.
Beta Team. Secondary. A twitch of a frown showed itself, but she hoped they would be second only in creation. Then again, her cohorts had already managed to mostly disappoint her… If they glanced her way, they’d see her looking each of them up and down. Hopefully their quirk control was better than their manners, she thought.
At the very least, Arata seemed to care about them. Not enough to say hello, but it was fine. She didn’t care. So to satisfy him and his keeping-a-hood-up-indoors self, they had to… stand out? Easy. Emi may have been new and lacking in power, but she doubted any of the students knew more about branding than she did… And the best way to make a strong brand was with a memorable niche. She was already building an online following with that philosophy. Heck, she expected most of them to have seen it by then. And thank her for using it to expose the media’s lies. But it was fine. She didn’t ca-
She blinked, suddenly remembering to pay attention. Her peers weren’t very… comprehensive, but that seemed to be the norm for them. Miku’s quirk was self-explanatory, but if she hadn’t heard Kyla explain herself before, she would have no clue what ‘weird wrist circuits’ entailed. Were they obliviously unhelpful, or were they trying to keep their quirks a secret? Either way, if nobody showed them how to answer a question, they’d never learn! “Well!” She stepped forward, as confident as over. “As most of you already know, my quirk is crystal manipulation!” She raised a hand and snapped her fingers, summoning a palm-sized snowflake construct to rest on her fingertip. “I can make it into a few shapes-“ A cube, a sphere, a cone, as the crystal demonstrated. “Nothing too fancy yet, but I’m working on that. I’m a ranged fighter. Don’t like taking punches, if I can help it, but to make up for it I can throw multiple projectiles at the same time. Though, to be honest… I already have a signature move in mind. It’s just not ready yet.” As in, it was far above her skill level. “So I’m open to suggestions in the meantime.”

"Emi.....huh........ something about you is familiar. Something to do with a video, I mean, all the students know about it. It's losing a bit of its flare since I haven't heard about it as much, but as a person who was willing to take that chance to try something in the first place, it says a lot about your character. A way to always make good publicity is also the qualities of being a good hero, you should be proud of yourself. Here.... a peace offering for forgetting your name."
Kogami threw a little things in as a way to butter her up a bit, even offering a lollipop to her when he mostly kept his precious snacks to himself. He felt that he should at least bond with his fellow 1-b students. So far, the impression that he was being a bit antisocial was falling through, even before his Semper fi injuries. But it wasn't like he didn't want to be around or cut class, he just didn't have that kind of presence that people would immediately notice him in the room. Regardless of the fact that he was there or now, with the times that he spent around his other students and his voice ended up being drowned out, he figured that smaller groups like this were more his thing. Not only would he be able to keep track of everything that was said, but a focus group like this could also provide for a better result with what Arata sensei wanted to accomplish.
"I don't necessarily believe in forcing any of my other classmates to develop. I do think that these things take time, that the nature of the school and it's courses would eventually put us on the right path. I can understand that after Semper fi, it might lead to some people feeling impatient. I broke the majority of my ribs while fighting against a mutated human, who was mutated by a quirk user, who was experienced on the military to act this way. At the end of it all, I'm not too sure about the good I did, or why no one in my class came to see me at the hospital. I don't have the answers to anything as to how I could have made my attempts that day to be better. "
Kogami himself was wondering where he was going with this himself.
"But it's ok. Agonizing over things like that and getting stronger doesn't do much, I just wouldn't want anyone to beat themselves up about it if they don't develop fast enough. It's what I want, but it doesn't mean that's going to happen, so I guess I spoke enough about that. I think I'm pretty good with Ideas, that's one of the real reasons why I came today. Being the B team isn't an insult, we can treat it like sending out the big guns if all else fails. That's when we come in....instead of taking this at face value, let's turn it into what we want it to be."
It was about time that the focused on the class more, which was also Kogami's intent. He analyzed what everyone said, and was probably going to offer suggestions when the time came. It doesn't necessarily mean it'll be useful to them, but everyone had their own styles as to how their quirk was supposed to function. He wanted to let Arata sensei do his job instead.
"I think student suggestions should come out after Arata sensei talks, so I won't say much about what I think just yet. As for me, my quirk is called line of sight, it involves the extension of reach beyond what you can physically touch by the three acts of grasping, pushing, and pulling....this includes the air. I can handle close to mid-range, and semper fi showed me that I can make solidified air bubbles, make a shield out of solidified air, solidify the air around my arms, tow myself around athletically...and...... I think I got stronger, there is something I want to try but I need to be careful."

As if she wasn't in a rush yesterday, today was no better, Mia had been on her way to the second class she was meant to help supervise and just as luck would have it, she ended up catching a fire in one of the streets along the way. Now, the choice had been obvious. Even without being a fire-fighting hero she had to stay and help, using her size and durability against the flames she'd managed to hold one of the collapsed supporting structures up while the rest of the building was evacuated. Beyond that, apparently demolishing a burning building so the fire didn't easily spread was a very useful skill for such a situation. Still it had left her rather late, and with sorched clothes. She hadn't even had time to grab her hero costume this morning so the tank top and cargo pants she was wearing were hardly flame retardant.
Bursting into the training facilities, Mia was just faintly panting by now since she hadn't stopped to take a breath since she came across that fire, her skin darkened by soot and giving a light wave to the class before shooting her eyes to Glovebox. "Sorry I'm late teach. We er...doing signature moves again?" She took a second to cough up a lung. Her skin was durable, and she was resistant to toxins, but that didn't mean that she didn't still get a damn nasty cough from a thick bit of smoke clogging up her windpipe. Pushing off her knees once she managed to catch her breath, she looked about, not recognizing any of the students this time...well. All but one. She gave a two fingered salute, trying to give a cheeky smirk despite the worn out look and recently covered in fire appearance of her darkened skin. "Hey Emi!~ How's that blog goin'?~"

Plants, he knew that about Miku already, she worked with pants, but, he hadn't spent a lot of time working with her on it. That's what these classes were for. He wanted to work with the class in total, and then work with individuals. Folding his arms, he nodded while looking over to Kyla next, who didn't talk about her quirk at all like he asked. He just quirked his eyebrow at her, and answered her question, recalling how he accidentally threw himself like a baseball in to the ground. Something that Mia would definitely remember from yesterday. He just brought a clenched fist in front of his mouth and coughed in to it. "Of course, I just haven't used it a whole lot, but, it was never really practical. I should work on a few more though. I was actually going to consult with everyone in class for some cross-training. I have an idea for a new style I want to try, but, I will leave that as a surprise." He stated before turning to the topic at hand.
"So Kyla, it would be great if you explained your quirk to your classmates. Some of them might have some synergy with you." He motioned over to Emi, and gave her a smile, "Crystal generation huh? Like, any particular type of crystal? or some sort of mineral? Ever get it analyzed? I might have to do some research, but, I know we can find some great use for your quirk, whether it's in combat or in intelligence, or counter intelligence. With today's world, your quirk would be amazing help Emi." Then lastly, Kogami.
"Kogami, I'm sorry for what you had to go through at Semper Fi, but, it's good you have been trying to develop your quirk more. You're going to be the most help to the rest of the class here. Whether it's explaining to them how to find caveats to their quirk, or to find some use for their quirk they just haven't realized yet." As he was about to continue, Mia came in, and he sighed, pinching the bridge between his eyebrows, "God dammit Mia. Yeah, we're going on with more signature moves, every class this week is about them."
"Miku, you are more than capable of trying, and trying, and trying until you get it. Emi, your quirk can be used in so many different ways. You have to open your mind up to new possibilities." He demonstrated this by taking a full sprint for his students, leaping off of the ground while he lifted his feet up off of the ground, turning in the air as if he were about to do a double dropkick to Kogami's chest. Instead, a large spectral glove formed in the air, right before Arata's feet landed, which he kicked off of and leaped up through the air. Performing a multi-axel spin, landing on a second glove he formed in the air while the first one fizzled out of the air.
"See? Look at my quirk, it's used for punching right? I found out I can use my gloves for holding things, pushing things, holding things back, and yes, punching things! take a look at what your quirk is at the base value. Emi for example, did you know, you could utilize the refraction in your crystals to cause blinding effects, or tricks of the light to confuse people in to seeing things that aren't there?. Well, I don't know if you can pull off illusions, but, you don't know if you never try, right?" He explained while dangling his feet off of the glove in the air, sitting on it like a chair about ten feet in the air at this point. Wanting to demonstrate to them how quirks could develop, and how they could look at it themselves to get stronger. He would step in to provide some help if he was asked, but, he couldn't hold their hands, well, he could, with his quirk, but, the metaphor would be lost.

Ah Emi. She invited class 1B to a dinner, right? She has a cool quirk like Crystal Manipulation?! Thats so cool!! "Crystal Manipulation? Thats so cool! And pretty! I bet your Quirk is amazing!" Miku told her
After that Kogami spoke. He was at Semper Fi?! "Dont tell me he was there during that disaster mess. That Catastrophe" Miku thought to herself But then she heard he fought someone mutated and got his ribs broken and Miku was just left speechless and jaw dropped. She had no idea he was at the hospital. If she knew, she would have visited him.
She wanted to cry, how did she miss this. She was a terrible friend. But sadly now was not the time. She had to be strong even though she felt horrible about it. She felt terrible as she felt she wasnt the same nice and innocent person Kogami knew her as. The world changed her, maybe for the worst?
Then suddenly someone burst in. It was Red Horn. She seemed to know Emi. Neat. Arata then spoke to everyone. All Miku had to do was try try and try. "Maybe Leaf Blade. I can maybe sharper a long leaf? Oooh or maybe Leaf Tornado. Encircle the enemy with sharp leaves. Ok, first order Miku, learn to make sharp leaves" Miku thought to herself
Considering she manipulates plants, surely she could manipulate their composition and make them tougher.

You leave me here wondering if I'll ever know How much you care, or how much you don't If you're going to be somebody's last time, baby be mine. “ A small surprise for Kyla, but she didn't expect Red Horn of all hero to take part in their class. There were a number of pro heroes that were also teachers for Yuuei, but seeing someone like Red Horn, who wasn't affiliated with the school at all come to help the students really made Kyla ecstatic. Of course, she couldn't really show this emotion normally. A side effect of her quirk was being unable to express herself with her face. Her Nasod Core, however, helped in that. Seeing the pro hero show up and address them lit it up with a bright yellow core and showed a wide toothy grin on the display. Kyla was elated and this was how she showed it, even if it wasn't intentional. As for her classmates, she vaguely remembered the things they could do from class. Though, Emi was newer and hearing that she had a form of crystal manipulation was pretty amazing. Just imagining all the structure sand formations a crystal could create was really interesting. And alongside Miku and Kogami's quirk, she could see that her classmates were really versatile and held a lot of potentials. That said, the teacher wasn't really satisfied with what Kyla had said. She nodded to recognize his words and then lifted her hands to point at her Nasod Core. "I'm sorry. I have a technology-based mutation, my Nasod Core." She explained. It was the most obvious part about her. There wasn't a whole lot she could do to hide it and among mutations, it was quite odd. Most mutations were animalistic in nature, so for her to have one that was technology-based really made people question the singularity that humankind might one day reach. Of course, just her core wasn't explanation enough. So she'd have to go over each of her nodes and all. She always felt it was a lengthy thing to explain, but it was what she was being asked in the class, so she had to do it. "It lets me control Nasod devices, including the nodes scattered around my body. For example..." She started as she arched her back a bit to create space between her clothing and the nodes on her back. They released and floated out from under her shirt before forming into two spearheads that floated around her. "I have my Nasod Spears that I can control from a distance to strike and attack things."She then popped them back under her shirt and pushed up the sleeves to expose her wrists. Smaller nodes were present there and detached from her body to float in front of her. A single node sat closer to her extended hand while the others formed a pentagon a short distance away from the first node. They were pointed up in the air so that no one would be worried about being hit during the display. "And these are my Nasod Fields. I can fire a beam of light using them and adjust how the beam is acted upon based on the color of the field." And just like before, she recalled hose nodes and moved her free hand to the cone-shaped nodes that were on her earlobes. This one she set on the grow before speaking again. "I also have a transmitter node I can use to gather basic information from the area around it. Like an imaging system that uses sonar and some light-based sensors."And with that, she recalled all her nodes. That was the basic rundown of the basic functions of all her nodes, but there was actually a lot more she could do. She was still working on creating full-size combat and servant Nasods with the robotic's club, but she couldn't exactly show them off right away. She also had the light projection she could use for clothing and costumes, but that didn't seem relevant right away. "I hope that is enough Arata-sensei." She asked, hoping that he didn't feel like she was holding back on purpose or anything. She was just excited to show off the special moves she had thought up since before the school year even started, Likewise, she hoped her classmates thought well of what she was able to do. ”

Flattery would charm most people, and it was super effective on a girl that already loved herself. In a few seconds, she’d almost forgotten why she was annoyed at Kogami. Almost. “Oh, don't wory. I'm always proud." He’d summoned her smug smile, which lasted all of two seconds before he gave a peace offering. Being bribed with a small sweet was a new experience, but only a grinch would turn down free snacks. “It’s no big deal,” she said as she took the candy. “These things happen, right? Just keep an eye out for the next one.” The designers at Yuei had, for some godforsaken reason, decided that gym uniforms didn’t ned pockets, and so the lollipop was held between a pair of fingers as she stepped back into line.
Then things got weird. The boy chose the middle of a class to pour his soul out about Semper Fi. Emi kind of understood. She knew better than most how loneliness felt, and how words felt ready to burst out of her when she’d kept silent for too long… But there was a reason she kept them to herself. Well, besides not knowing anybody around enough to share. It made for awkward situations, and any of them could see that she felt that way if they looked her way. Perhaps she struggled to empathise because she’d missed the disaster, which also meant she didn’t have much of a response to offer. She tried her best, though. A single cough to the side as he finished his speak.
Okay, maybe she didn’t try too hard.
Fortunately, a hero had arrived to save the day! Or at least the mood. Her second-favourite pro hero had arrived, looking dreadful dauntless. She could forgive her appearance – after all, Red Horn was a star, and she remembered her! Actually really knew who she was! The crystal snowflake fell off her fingertip, only to halt in mid-air a foot off the ground. Hopefully the class was too distracted by the woman’s arrival to notice that Emi had been stunned, a goofy grin plastered on a face that was a few shades too red.
While the teacher spoke, Emi tried to recover. Deep breaths, calmer thoughts and focusing on Arata’s words went a long way to hiding how star-struck she was. Right. They were in a class, and supposed to be helping each other! Giving suggestions! It didn’t sound as if anybody was too keen to take the initiative on that – yet again - but it wouldn’t be the first or last time that she’d have to wring a response out of her classmates. First, a greeting. Stay calm, she told herself, right as her free hand shot up and waved. “Hello, Red Horn-san! Or is it Mia-chan now? Oh, I don’t know, you choose one!” Realising that her efforts to keep cool were failing miserably, she turned back to the rest of the class, cleared her throat and continued.
“Analysed? No need – just stick it in your mouth. Sodium chloride.” Better known as table salt, but if she said that, the chance of somebody trying to stick it in their mouth dropped to zero… And that was always hilarious. “But ‘crystals’ sounds simpler and cooler, don’t you think?” She offered Miku a smirk. “I haven’t figured out many ways to take advantage of what they’re made of, so I guess that’s something I could use help with.” She spoke with a hint of disdain, realising that she could, maybe, use a bit more help than she’d let on.
“I did try refraction. Once. Long story short, it’s a bit too precise to make work on the fly, and even then there’s a good chance I’ll blind myself trying.” Her grimace told that she knew that from experience. “At least, at my skill level. Could change later, but I don’t think I want to mess with light tricks for now. But while we’re talking about being creative…” She gestured to the glove holding him up.
“Couldn’t you fly like that? Controlling your glove while you’re on top of it, I mean. That’s something I’ve wanted to try out for a while… But enough about me – for now.” The rest of her class had quirks too, and between the lot of them they could drum up something clever for everybody. “Let’s see… Kogami-san, same deal with you. Heck, with platforms made of air, you wouldn’t even need to control them while you’re moving, right? You just kind of-“ She brought a finger to her lips, trying o find the right words, only to decide that demonstrating would be easier. A quick hop lifted her off the ground, but just as she began to descend, a crystal platform appeared at her feet – a floating footstool for her to bounce off. The double-jump became a triple-jump with the creation of a second platform, and each caught her as she finally descended, saving her from a pair of broken ankles. “Something like that. Lots of mobility and all.”
Next up, plant manipulation. “Hm… You said manipulation, not creation, right? So you’re not exactly making a forest out of nowhere. What about… pepper spray?” She nodded to herself. “Yeah, that sounds about right. I don’t know exactly how your quirk works, but aren’t peppers fruits? If you could, say, make a Carolina Reaper grow in the middle of a battlefield and spray its stuff everywhere… Ouch. People are definitely going to remember you after that.” Of course, the salt student would suggest adding pepper to the mix.
Finally, her gaze settled on Kyla. “I’m not a hundred percent sure I get your quirk, but I’ll try anyway. You work with light and sound, right? Could you do something like a burst attack? Stun everybody around you with a flash bang or a really loud noise? Something like that’ll definitely get you an opening, as long as you can shield yourself from it too.” She folded her arms, satisfied with her assessment. If the rest of the group could return the favour with a few suggestions, they’d wipe the floor with Alpha Team’s asses.
