The thought of that woman warmed her heart. The idea of bathing in his blood, the dream of eating his heart. It gave her a weird sort of pleasure. It was just, perfect. The thought of blood spilling from his neck and over his shirt. The taste of the fluid that would run warm from his soon to be cold and lifeless body. The thought of- "Blessed is the king that guides me. " the voice of the being that lived within the girl spoke out. The girl's left hand reduced to bone once more, while her skin was covered in mostly bandages like a mummy. She again dawned her faded greed jumpsuit, her janitor uniform. While it wasn't really regulated, or enforced, she insisted on wearing it every day. On her right leg was a few stains of blood, but it was clean, pressed and ironed. Under it, from the top, her white dress shirt would be seen, and viable. From under, hidden behind the uniform was a suit, something she insisted on also wearing under her clothing, so she never needed to change to take a moment to gather herself. After work, was work, and after work, was work. There was no time for a break. She was knelt down before her lockers at the back of the janitor's closet. The door left wide open, swinging inwards. The shelves fully stocked and organized and sorted for her day. The bins resting in the corner of the room, as the girl folded her head in prayer to her great god. "Blessed are those that follow me into the dark and from the light." she would say, her locker opened to reveal a shrine of some sort. Various animal skulls sroted, some on their own pedestals, while in the middle of it was a throne with a strange figure made of bone resting, his face in his hand as he leaned on the arm of his seat. The girl continued; "Blessed are those that follow me into the dark and from the light." She was not only a victim, but a survivor of the horrible military event gone wrong. She was there only to make a deal to extend a military contract. Strictly business. She didn't expect to be dragged into a mess of life and death. She didn't want to have to save children's lives. She never wanted anyone in danger in the first place. She just wanted her life back, but that was lost too. She had opened her own little nightclub. A bar, a dance floor, a snack bar. She begun to hire students part time to ensure they were at least well paid and taken care of. She knew the world was no perfect place, and having an eye on all sides of the world was the only way she knew everyone could be happy. "May the kind kings and queens watch over me as I carry out destiny."The aroma of incense, sage, and blood filled the room. Bits of raw meat, and what appeared to be a mutilated bird covered the figures of the shrine, as if she had offered it to her god, as some sort of sacrifice. Her own left hand, offered the same. Torn, ripped, and bandaged just to try to protect a child. Something foolish, perhaps, but righteous. "Blessed is my hand to which life lives. "She was Kasey. She was no longer the girl once known as Rena. Cherry was no where to be found, and perhaps that was for the best. Setsuna was himself. He was no longer known as Setsuki. But to them, to understand their origins, was to understand their destination. They were just a janitor here. They wanted to clean. They wanted to help. But outside, they were going to kill Thundershock. "Blessed is my blade, from which death dies. Blessed is my life. Blessed is their death."She would drop her hands to her lap, as she looked to her altar. She smiled, leaning in the half lit room of the janitor's closet. "Bless'ed Majinoki, I pray you watch over all that attend this school. May misfortune never fall upon them again."But not once, did she ever make a prayer for herself. ~ Word Count: 710 ~ |

She was basically confined to the infirmary. That wasn't bad but it made her, if she allowed herself to exaggerate, very claustrophobic. Nimue wanted to not be in the atmosphere of depression all the time, so when lunch break came around the corner, she always took it at another time, she decided she would head to the cafeteria to grab a cup of coffee. She had everything for tea in her own room but a coffee would do for now. There were no students that needed her immediate attention and if they would need, she would have the pager with her to get back immediately. She took her job very serious, perhaps too serious and there were moments that just grabbing a coffee in the same building would just be able to be fixed. She made sure that she had cleaned up the files and shut off the computer before she stood up and left the infirmary to go and get what she had in her mind.
While on her way to the cafeteria, she smelled something peculiar, it was not bad. It reminded her bit of home and she finally realized that it must be incense. The name of the herb was on the tip of her tongue, cleansing that was the original idea of it, sage. She stopped walking and looked around to see where it must come from, there was only one door open, so it made sense if it came from there, so she took a few steps closer. Nimue did hear a bit of mumbling, it was not that she was sure if the person was actually mumbling but she was not close enough to hear what the female person was saying, she also did not feel bad about it, because it was eavesdropping and she did not want to do that. She did hear the last sentence as she stopped just next to the doorpost, a prayer, she did not know the way how, it was not to her own God, but the shaman did not mind that, she was very open to it as she was raised as a leader for her group, which totally did not suit her, but she had her own safety and protection to her God. She wondered if the person inside was alright, no wounds or anything, was she okay? She knocked softly on the door. "Hello, sorry to interrupt." Albeit it sounded as if she was done, the person in there. "Are you okay?" Was she wounded? |

People, they were rude. People were stupid. Stupid and rude people, those people deserved to die. They were weak. Life was for the strong. People were stupid and weak. The weak, were food. "What?" she turned around to face the voice, only to be met with a face she saw before, but never spoke to. The nurse right? Sophie went away, and now she met a new one today. Oh how grand is the day, when she could find something to say. Something stupid. That was what people expected of her, right? She was the janitor, not some mock prohero. That article had almost exposed her for what she was. She had to hide all of it behind that woman. All of the death being her idea, all of the cutting, the slicing, the eating... oh, the eating... "Oh, this?" she turned around, lifting her left hand. Out of all of the bandages that covered her body, only her hand was the one that bled. "I'll be fine. No need to see the nurse, or... you, rather... My quirk is healing."A half lie, or perhaps a half truth. Her quirk was a spirit that lived in her bones. But when he was on his own, his power went with him. The skill that stayed, was her body's healing. It was one of her skills, but it was not the quirk she hid. Her bone-y fingers would peak out from behind the bandages, but not a drop of blood would fall. "I don't need painkillers either, I already gave myself a prescription for those last week." she would tell her. Oh goddammit, did she say something stupid again? Stupid people were weak. The deserved to be eaten. ~ Word Count: 287 ~ |

The welcome was not entirely a happy or a warm one, but it did not bother Nimue, after all, she interrupted this person in something of a seance, a ritual, a thank you? She was not sure what as she had not listened in but the idea of the rhythm, the smell of sage, she did not see it, the altar but that was okay. She just thought she noticed the taste of iron in the air, blood. But it might be just her imagination, considering what happened in her country with rituals. She had not made an assumption but the janitor showed up which was a reasonable idea of a person to be here. She nodded when the girl lifted up her hand as it was clearly in bandages and bleeding. "Ag, how interesting." She replied to the idea that the janitor her quirk was healing. Self-healing she assumed in that case else it was no use as well. But she also did not feel the need to ask because that would be prying.
She tilted her head a bit to the left. "Ag, I see you take good care of yourself. Do you need any help with the bandage?" Because her bone-y fingers would peak out. It might be difficult to fix a bandage with one hand but she had no idea how trained this young lady could be, who knew how often that happened. "I'm Nimue, Nakahara Nimue, nice to meet you and again, sorry to interrupt you. The sage, it really smells nice." She did feel like she was intruding but if she would never, she would never meet the other teachers or the janitor. She had only heard about them and it made it like a short story, in that case, being only in the infirmary all the time. |

Kasey bowed and made a step to the side as the woman offered her aid, as well as her name. She knew the nurse well enough, at least in name, but had never really met her in person. She certainly was nothing like the last, but to be compared, may have been her misfortune, Kasey would be sure to refrain from doing so again, even if in just her mind. The altar would be visible as Kasey moved, only to advance a few more paces to the woman, just to be at a comfortable talking distance, rather than talking across the hallow room. "Kasey, Setsuna." she would say her names with a pause, something strange to those that didn't understand her position. "Thank you, I was only preforming my evening rites to Majinoki. Most do not take well to the smell. I must have forgotten to close the door. Was it bothering you?" Kasey asked, curious and confused. It was not often anyone approached her. She had her own problems to worry about, and perhaps getting right into the mix of the new staff, wasn't the best idea. Kasey looked over at her hand, only to be reminded of the last time she had lost part of her hand, and was met with staff in her closet. This time was different. This time she was a hero. "Have you been taking well? To the school, and everyone?" she would ask. She knew what it was like to be swallowed by her work. Was she the same? ~ Word Count: 256 ~ |

As the janitor took a step aside, Nimue couldn't help but let her almond eyes glide to see what was inside, the altar that intrigued her was an interesting new factor. She wondered what kind of religion, even if she was a shaman back at home and a firm believer in God, that did not stop her from being open-minded for other religions. Her eyes already turned back to the person in front of her. It would be impolite after all to not listen to the name, "Kasey, that's a beautiful name." And she meant it, Nimue didn't tell things to make people feel better if she did not believe in it herself, the idea of a silver lining. This was definitely not necessary and she did not want to make a silver lining when it was not necessary. So she would just say it because she thought of it. She tilted her head to the left this time and wondered out loud: "Manjinoki?" She really had not heard about that before but it was really interesting to think about it. "Ag, no not at all no. I don't mind the smell of sage, it is very refreshing. I am not sure what others think but I wouldn't worry too much about it." She replied, how could people actually be bothered by Sage, dod they know what it meant or what it stood for? The smell of Sage must be the best thing to smell in case if you wanted to think about a cleansing or anything.
There was no response to the idea of helping her with the bandage, but Nimue believed that Kasey knew what she was doing, especially considering her job, she had probably seen a lot of things that Nimue still had to witness now being at this school. When she got back from her thoughts of the bandage, she looked back at Kasey, "Ag, I do well, I stay at the infirmary the most, in case something happens, which makes me a bit late with meeting everyone, especially the teachers and you." But she gave a warm smile, it would all come with time. She would meet people, people like Elise and Rin would come to visit her, it was okay. "I hear a lot about Sequoia-san, it must be strange to suddenly have someone new around." She sometimes wondered if she would find notes from Sophie but mostly were either gone or just simple phrases in the documents, extra added by Rin. |

Religions were nothing but hailed and glorified cults. Kasey was not someone who read a bible, or any other religious text. She only spoke to the god that revealed his true form to her. A god who was proven himself. Majinoki. "Nimue is a nice name as well." she would say. A half empty compliment. It wasn't that she didn't think so, but more thought so because it was something unusual for her to hear. "He is the great wish granting god of redemption." she would say with a nod to the new nurse. It wasn't a time to preach, but to learn about a new staff member was something she was going to have to get used to. If she was used to the smell of sage, perhaps she too was practicing her own rituals in her own area. Was it wrong to assume so based on looks? Perhaps. But healing properties, even if a quirk, had always seemed magical, like a gift from gods. After all, that was the power Majinoki had bestowed upon Kasey. And it was in this second life, that she was enlightened, and was convinced she was one of his loyal disciples. "I'd imagine it's more strange for the teachers to change." she would say. "I'm used to faces changing, but to watch the school change teachers, has always been strange. The more they rotate, the less attention the classes get, and the problems ensue." Kasey went off on her tangent, wondering if it was the true reason for 1A failing so many students, as well as their curriculum. "Well, as the only non-teachers, I guess we kinda gotta stick together. Just use and our sage!" she would say, making her attempt at a joke. That was how you said them, right? ~ Word Count: 298 ~ |

Nimue Nakahara Yuuei's Nurse "Thank you," Nimue said politely, happily that Kasey said so, she did not notice it was half empty and even if she did, she would not care for it was a gesture that was kind because of its origin. Nimue was good to understand that and she did not mind. "The great wish granting god of redemption?" That sounded very interesting but Nimue wondered if there was such a great god out there, why had she never heard about it. "That sounds very wonderful actually." She was just raised with this religion, Christianity, she never doubted it, she never spoke about it, it was just her father's side and that was fine. Her mother was Christian as well but also focused on the shaman side of her family, her brain was a mumbo-jumbo of multiple things but she did not mind. That was normal for her anyway, she did not know it any other way.
She never saw it like that, but yea it made sense that it would be more strange for a teacher to change, albeit it was a new establishment. "Would you say there are a lot of problems because of the changing of teachers?" Nimue asked because it was a curious thing to think about, also she had not known that they changed multiple times. "It would be nice if faces stay the same, for the students. Their lives are already quite hectic when they try out a new establishment as this school." She decided to bring up, maybe she could tell Mosa this as well.
It took a few seconds for Nimue got the joke but she could not help laughing, 'Yes, just us and sage. That will work perfectly." She felt very comfortable with Kasey around and it would be nice to stick together. She wasn't really afraid of the teacher but afraid to take too much of their time.

The great powerful god. How had anyone not heard of him? The god who had saved lives at the hospital. The god that protected those during Semper Fi. The god that guided them, watched over them every day. Those that sacrificed their lives, their things, their desires, he fed onto. And those that offered the most, would receive his gift. How could anyone not feel his gaze, his touch, or his power? He was the god, after all. Perhaps, he was known by other names... Kasey would nod, agreeing to the woman's words about the teachers. It was true to her eyes. To have to adjust so frequently, you either learn to adapt, or refuse to change. Kasey feared the latter of the two, which only had resulted in all of the fights and issues with that forsaken class. Kasey was glad she wasn't a teacher, but at the same time, she wondered what it would be like to had some importance to the school. After all, she was no hero. She was just staff. The could have fired her at any time, but why haven't they? Did people no longer wish to clean up after others? "Well, uh." Kasey felt odd, wondering if she was taking too much of the nurse's time. Was there something she was trying to discover while wandering? Maybe there was something Kasey could help with. "Has being the nurse been difficult? Here at least?" she would ask, "Uh, like if you need help, I could, help. I'm not a nurse, but I do work in pharmaceuticals. If you... need help?"Offering her hand never felt so strange. Something just seemed odd all of a sudden. ~ Word Count: 281 ~ |

Nimue Nakahara Yuuei's Nurse Nimue was curious about the building, to everything around and what she wanted to see. There were a few things around that made her still the distant being that she was because of many reasons. Because she wasn't here for too long. She wondered though sometimes still how fast Sophie had come and go with the start of the year. Was it pressure? Seeing children hurt too often? Even if Nimue didn't like it the idea of seeing the kids hurt, she understood the bigger pictures and she wanted to be there for them in case it was necessary but she could imagine that the peer pressure could be enough for somebody or maybe a better job offer, albeit she had no idea how. Someone would have to offer her a worldwide trip or else she would not go anywhere.
"Well, I come straight from the high education. So it was a bit of a thing to get used to, the real deal, being on your own no supervisor to help you. It feels quite different and maybe even difficult, after all, it is about children." That was the best to get to the pint because she felt like she was going around in circles with. "Ag, that's very interesting Kasey-san, so kind of you to offer. I will keep that in mind. At the moment it is going fine, now that it is just classes where they get cuts and bruises, the school has a lot of the things already." Maybe that was because of Kasey. She was really happy with the suggestion, maybe she could confide in Kasey when needed, to not botter the teachers, but maybe Kasey would be too busy too of course.

PIt was true. The job really was about the students. They were the future, and in time, they would be the heroes Japan needed. The ones they had would pave the way, and it was up to them to maintain the roads. But Kasey had her own ideas, her own views. She wasn't going to pave the road like the heroes. No, she was going to kill and main any bandit heading their way. She was going to clear the trees. She was going to move mountains. She might not be doing what the heroes were, but she knew how important her task was. "I try to help as much as I can." Kasey would tell her, "Most students clean up their own messes, so I just tend to fixing things, and sorting other things." From fixing holes in the walls, dents on metal tables, dead grass or whatever else was wrong, Kasey took it upon herself to fix it. From little hinges or cutting holes in things to help other's with ease of life, she made it her personal duty as well. She didn't have much to do, but she preferred to make her time at the school worth while. She was going to be helpful. However she could be. ~ Word Count: 212 ~ |

Nimue Nakahara Yuuei's Nurse It felt nice to have someone around to talk to. AGain it was not that Nimue was afraid of the teachers, she was afraid about bothering them but at some point, she would have to. She would have to ask what was going on or what the hell they were thinking with some classes. But that was not her, it was for the children that was all.
It was a good thing that the school had dedicated people. Kasey seemed to be a great asset to that to U.A. Nimue would ask her if she would walk with her to the cafeteria as she was on her way to grab a drink. If not, she would, in the end, go alone, but not without thanking Kasey again and hoping to meet again, perhaps they could meet sometime after school. It would be good to make friends or well, very good acquaintances was a thing as well. She, of course, had Oz but from her own school, she did not meet many other people because she was focussed on learning Japanese and her medical knowledge.
What a bit of sage could already create to have a conversation. She was interested in the God that Kasey spoke about but at this point, her own religion, as well as her upbringing, had put a halt on asking more and figuring it out. She was rather satisfied with meeting Kasey, it turned her whole okay-day around into a good one.
