She wasn't working, well, not right now at least. Would that stop her? Stop her from what you ask? Kasey had her hands buried in her pockets of her faded green jumpsuit. On the front of it on her left breast was an embroidered with her name in blue, over a white patch. It was fine, and fancy, but none of the letters seemed to be the same font. It wasn't like she was provided the name tag. With her own former work, having sewing machines on hand. Most of what she had, she worked out of her own pocket, or from donations. In most cases, she simply took left overs from Sato's house, which were supplies that were going to get tossed anyways. Being a donor to the school, having Ketsujo supplies around, wasn't that uncommon. Her feet were bare like always, wrapped up in medical bandages. Not that she was injured, it simply was just more comfortable for her. On the back of her jumpsuit was the word "STAFF" referring to the school, that she had gotten off working just some time ago that day. Her red horns peeked around her hair as she walked along. Her face drawn with black paint to shade her eyes and mouth to look like a skeleton. Even a bit of shading an contour to add to her own guise. Kasey wandered Tokyo in the late afternoon, trying to see what was still open on this early evening. With a sigh, she continued her path, wandering from store to store, trying to see what she could do, or eat. "Why not the people?" Setsuna's voice rang in the empty box refereed to as Kasey's skull. His own being was nothing more than her quirk, bonded to her own consciousness. They were two souls that shared the same body. And one found the other to be the monster. But the world found it the other way around. "That's not the rules, Suki. We only eat the bad people!" The girl replied, her body walking around, while her mind was in deep conversation. "Killers, murderers, thieves and con men. Rapists, torturers and liars are the people who should die."". . .what of those that put the recycling into the trash bi-""THEY WILL PERISH AS WELL!" she spoke aloud, not limiting her words to her head. Those around her would throw a glare at her, but would think nothing of it. After all, what was a bit of mystery of Halloween? ~ Word Count: 418 ~ |

Eli walked through Tokyo plaza, a can of citrus soda in his hand. As he walked along the paths of the plaza, he looked at all the strange people here. Holidays were just a break from the usual day to day tasks everyone had. Halloween was fun and all but Eli just didn't do holidays as much anymore. Plus why would he wanna dress up as someone else when he was gonna be a pro hero in the future? He was going to BE the costume. The thought of little elementary kids going house to house in his hero costume made the UA student chuckle, if only he could go back to those simpler times.
Eli swayed his drink around, almost empty. He took one last sip and looked for the recycling. Finally finding a place with two bins he looked at the words, attempting to figure out which was recycling and which was trash. Alas being the American boy that he was, he failed to distinguish the two and left the soda in his hands to attempt to find someone who could translate for him. As if on cue, a silver haired female that seemed rather secluded shouted something about people perishing? Creepy, but who was Eli to judge? Eli noticed the words 'Staff' on the back of her green jumpsuit, if anyone could help Eli it was her. Unless of course, whatever she was staff of only spoke Japanese...in which case he would inevitably look stupid and have to show the hopefully not crazy lady through motions instead of just asking...hopefully she spoke both languages.
He walked up to the woman with a smile and asked for assistance, "Hey miss um.." He looked at the woman's name tag on the green apparel that the female wore, "Kasey, could you help me? I'm American and still haven't learned Japanese and wanted to make sure I recycled this can and didn't put it in the wrong bin since I know how much it sucks for whoever has to sort that stuff. Like if I can make them not have to sort one more can it'll make their day better you know? I'm Eli by the way, nice to meet you." He held out his hand to shake hers, if she accepted his hand and shook it, cool. If not it didn't really matter either. As long as she helped him out he would be thankful.

Being a tailor paid more than her janitorial work, but there was no meaning behind stitching shirts. At the school, she had importance. However slight. It wasn't about the money anymore. She had her night club, and with it a base of operations. As heroes and vigilantes did their work to clean up the place, Kasey had planned her new family, her new society. She was a super villain now, running an organization that gathered real heroes, and soon to be heroes. Someone who murdered for a living was overseeing them all. For her, she was secure, never letting them too close to the truth, all the while she was able to play hero, and take out the real threats between her, and them. But with the sound of steps nearing her, she turned to face what was closing in on her. She faced the boy, finding his age to fit the students of UA, even if she never really saw him before. At least, she didn't think so. It was easy to remember the UA staff, but to remember all of the students was more of a task, for her at least. As he opened his mouth, Kasey followed his language, thinking of Sophie, and her readings on English. She wasn't an expert, but she could speak it with little trouble, even if broken. As he spoke, he offered his hand to hers, and she would accept, trying to explain the truth to him. "No no no, I'm a janitor from Yuuei school. I'm not employee here." She took the can from him, without hesitation, almost coldly. She turned to face the bins and tossed in into the correct one, trying to move things along. "Right bin is good. At school, I have to sort trash after, to make sure school is not fined for trying to recycle trash, and trash the recycle." With that, her task was done, but was that all he needed? She was just a janitor at a school. She was just a pharmacist who prescribed medication. She was just the CEO's personal assistant. She was just a hand hired for his rival's company. She was just the owner of a brand new night club. She was just the daughter in law to the mafia crime boss. She was just someone who got their hands dirty. She wasn't anyone important. ~ Word Count: 395 ~ |

Eli looked at the silver haired janitor, how had he not seen her cleaning up at the school? Maybe he subconsciously ignored her existence because she wasn't a student, or maybe he just hadn't ran into her. He decided he would make it a point to make up for lost time. As the janitor threw away his can he felt a little sorry for mistaking her for the event staff, "Oh sorry, your clothes just said staff and I assumed, that's my bad. I do go to UA though, I'm surprised I've never met you since you work there. Sorry that you always have to clean up our messes too...Oh and thanks for the can thing." Eli just kind of...stood there like an annoying kid looking at a grown up. For some reason he felt the need to stay close to the janitor. He had no clue why he just...did.
Since his body simply wouldn't let him leave he spoke up, "Um...I don't have anything to do so if you aren't busy...there anything you want to go do since it's Halloween or whatever? I personally would rather get away from all this excitement...unless there's a reason you're here? If you don't want to you don't have to though!" Eli continued to grin at the silver'haired woman. She seemed relatively nice to Eli. It wasn't like she could hurt anyone, especially not a kid. I mean come on! She was a janitor after all! Eli hoped she wouldn't mind doing something with him, he was simply bored out of his mind! Even if she was an adult hanging out with her was better than no one at all. After the woman's answer, Eli pulled his phone out and checked it briefly, four messages, whatever it was, it could wait. After all he didn't wanna be rude to his new...friend?

It was easy for someone like her to go unnoticed. She reshaped her body, her face, her stance and how she carried herself on the daily. She was just an extra, a background character in the lives of others. Even with a name tag, she would never have her name said in their stories. It just was how it was, and it was what gave her her own enormous power. "It happens. You get used to cleaning up everyone's mess." Cans, trash, food, bodies. She was clean up crew, at the school, at Ketsujo Tokyo Hospital, and the Pink Jackal. All she did, was clean, and soon, the world would be rid of filth. Soon all would be well, and all would be right. Each mess at a time. Even if those messes, were lives. As he went on, she lingered on his words, trying to make sense of what he was asking her. Was it a date? Was it just to ease the pain of being alone? "I came here for the excitement." she would tell him, "I was fightin-, I mean I was watching some fighting between uh... Crimson Skull, and Lady Macabre." She slipped, almost admitting to her own lives. She was a fool, and the world made her out to be. But to play not only a double life, but triple, and to pay both sides of the coin? If anyone found out, she would be made into something so sinister, Thundershock would just be a whisper. "I was just watching some heroes and villains fight, and kinda wanted to..." what was something that a student would be interested in? Was it fighting? Of course, a spar. ". . . watch and learn, so if the time comes, I can help. I mean I can't be a janitor forever."But she did. She did want to be a janitor forever. ~ Word Count: 314 ~ |

Eli listened as the janitor answered his questions, she didn't look like she needed the janitor job by the way she carried herself. It looked like it was more like she felt she wasn't important. Eli hoped the nice janitor lady didn't feel that way but it was understandable, there were thousands of people in Japan, the two of them were just tiny specs of a population. Eli wished it was different but no matter who you were, the numbers just beat you every time. Even just in specific cities when looking at the numbers, you would always seem insignificant.
The fact that the janitor was used to cleaning up messes made Eli a little sad, "You shouldn't have to be used to cleaning up peoples messes, you're a good person and you deserve better than that. I might only be a UA student but even I can see that." Eli shouted, she didn't deserve to be a janitor forever, no one did.
"Oh we can stay here too, you just seemed like you were distant from everything because you didn't like being here. Was the fight cool? Did you see who won?" Eli asked, not noticing the silver haired woman's slip up. "I'm sure you would be an amazing help to any hero's, current or future. Just don't get in too much trouble miss." Eli said, not questioning the females motivation or her day to day activities to reach that goal, he didn't wanna cause her to hate him after all.
Eli found a railing to lean on next to the janitor and walked over to it, proceeding to put his hands in his pockets and fidgeted with a diamond coin he made earlier to pass the time when he got bored. He wondered what the silver haired janitors quirk was, if she had one, "Say do you have a quirk at all? If you did it would really come in handy for the hero path."

Not all quirked pained their holder like hers did. In most cases, she did more harm to herself, than others with her own power. It was a heavy cost, and would have gone probably mostly unused by any other person. Kasey, was not any other person. She relished the pain. Tearing her own eye from herself as a gift to her sister-in-law. Cutting her own flesh to expose healthy organs to be removed and sold. Her eyes she regularly plucked from herself for donations. That alone paid for her life. But she was a tailor, a pharmacist. She had an attention to detail, in both suits, medicine and cleaning. Her jobs never really lined up or seemed to work with each other, that was, until you factored in all of the lives she took. A killer, versed in cleaning messes, in medicines, and in sewing small tears and rips, someone used to pain... "A mess is a mess." she would say to him. Even if he raised his voice, it was a life she chose because she wanted it, not that she needed it. Not all roles were the main characters. Sometimes it's about the greatest support. And not all supports had fame. "It was pretty back and forth. Both of them left pretty messed up." she would say to him, making up her own fight scene within her mind. She lifted her arms in front of her, crossing them, rubbing her arms nervously, as if she was cold. "Bones." she would answer him. A short answer, that had far more uses than she would explain... well, it wasn't like she was going to actually explai- "It's maybe not the best quirk for a janitor, but I always have the tools I need to fix and clean something under my skin. Though it comes at the cost of bleeding and wounding. But I've gotten used to it. Students are trying to be heroes and can die any time, just like any hero. So I should be ready for pain too." She smiled, thinking about all she had been through, and everyone she had met. "You're a student, aren't you? What quirk do you have? Have you fought a villain yet? You practice, right?"~ Word Count: 373 ~ |
