Now that he was back, he could finally do the things he promised his class. He wanted to have a situation where he could have them all let loose a little bit and demonstrate their quirks, whether in a combat situation, or helping one another in the aftermath of it all. And what better way to get them all raring to go than with a mass text message sent to them?
It read as follows: Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening, Good Day, Good Night, Good everything. It's me, your teacher, I'm back on campus and raring to get up to something. I've got us an appointment with a trained combat specialist! You guys wanna really stretch your arms and legs? Use your quirks as much as possible? Then come on out to the field, we're gonna train with some guy named Kazuo!
Oh also! If you guys have quirks that aren't suited for combat, bring any sort of tool you work with! or, come to give support to each other. Or maybe, just maybe, you can practice your quirks to help in the after math? -Signed, Arata Hayashi, Aka Glovebox
After the message was sent out, he pocketed his phone in to his jacket pocket and stretched backwards, both of his hands in his pockets before his hood fell backwards, revealing a dark mark around the back of his neck. The moment he felt his hood fall back, he pulled it right back up over his shaggy sandy blonde hair. Looking around to make sure no one saw it, Arata would seek out this Kazuo person, and boy, was he in for a treat with this guy.
Grumbling to himself, Kazuo was busy sharpening one of his combat knives. He didn't have a quirk, he didn't want a quirk, he didn't care for quirks one bit. But, as a soldier, when he was ordered to work with those with quirks, he did such a thing. It was his duty to obey orders, no matter how much they conflicted with his values. He didn't have to like it. He had to do it anyways.
"Damn Quirker, asking me to watch a bunch of little Quirklings, just to show them how to..." He trailed off as Arata approached and let a gruff huff of air out of his nose, glaring at Arata who gallivanted over, What do you want Greenhorn?
"Well! I wanted to talk to you about the whole event we have coming up."
"Yeah, I'm gonna watch over them as they fight, and try to understand what the hell their powers are."
"NOT exactly. See, I also want to make sure they're ready for the real world. Life's turning in to a living anime out there, so super villains are gonna show up sooner or later. I want them to know what it's like to fight someone with actual power. Not that has a power, but someone that knows how to fight. Or at least, a fight between two people that can fight."
Kazuo just felt his eyebrow twitch, was this guy for real? Yes, yes Arata was for real, this is every day Arata, better get used to it Jarhead. "Alright. But, I know how to fight, you know how to sling that power of yours around. But, I'll be happy to show them just what I know." He said with an all too happy tone despite how he felt about quirks. Maybe he could finally vent out some frustrations and show the world that quirks weren't the new meta.
And so, they waited, awkwardly, for the students. Arata tried to make some conversation about iced coffee and an obscure phone game that he and his students play, but Kazuo was busy sharpening those knives of his.

Miku was in her dorm room after she just ate breakfast. She made her bed and wondered what would she do for the day. But suddenly her phone rang as it soon got a text. She took her phone and looked at the text and couldnt help but squee and smile "Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening, Good Day, Good Night, Good everything. It's me, your teacher, I'm back on campus and raring to get up to something. I've got us an appointment with a trained combat specialist! You guys wanna really stretch your arms and legs? Use your quirks as much as possible? Then come on out to the field, we're gonna train with some guy named Kazuo!

Although that fangirlish squee came to an end when she actually focused on the text itself. A trained combat specialist. She hoped it wasnt like the time when she was with Alex. That was scary. But then she smiled and thought "My sensei is here! He's an adult! He'll protect me! I doubt the military people would be mean when he's there!"
So she made her way there. Miku dressed up in her black sleeveless shirt that had a white X on the stomach area. White shorts, black socks, white shoes. She took a small bag and got some items, most importantly various plant seeds as usual for her Quirk. She'd take a pot or dirt... But... that'd be ridiculous Later, after some time. She arrived. Miku looked around for the other students, but it seemed like she was the first one "Oh man, I kinda hate coming first. Its kinda scary being alone" she thought to herself. She saw her teacher and waved to him and smiled "Hello!"

You leave me here wondering if I'll ever know How much you care, or how much you don't If you're going to be somebody's last time, baby be mine. “ Classes were kicking into high gear and with the opening of a military base close by, the students were having a number of classes set there. Kyla was excited to see just what they were going to do today. And sure enough, the class received a text message from the teacher to come to the base for a special kind of class. They were going to stretch out their quirks and get in some practice. It felt good to get something truly official. So far, they were taking part in mostly rescue classes, but she knew a number of students were ready for the combat training. They had quite a few fighters in the class and she knew many of the students sparred and fought with each other. Sure enough, they would be happy to have this kind of class. Kyla was indifferent. Sure, fighting was a part of being a hero and her quirk leaned toward combat, but she was interested in all aspects of the newly formed profession, even the business portion. This collaboration with the military opened up a lot of chances for up and coming heroes and Kyla wanted to make a good impression. She didn't want to take part in a war, but she liked the rescue efforts and disaster relief the military took part in and she was happy to lend her help in that regard. Kyla arrived at the base promptly in just her gym uniform. Her quirk didn't need much else besides what she had on her. She had a technology-based mutation quirk, so as long as she had proper control of her nodes she was just fine. As far as combat went, Kyla had experience with it. Back at home when she trained with her master, she remembered the many lessons he taught her and how she needed to get creative with her quirk. Surely she could put it into practice here. Once she got to the meeting spot, only three people were there. First was the class' teacher, Arata-sensei. She still didn't know a whole bunch about him, but she knew that hew as a pro-hero already. He was what she was aspiring to be, so she was glad that he was teaching her. He was also quite young for a teacher, which made him more fun to be around compared to the older ones. Next to him was a man Kyla didn't know at all. He seemed like he was from the military base and a member of the army. Was he going to provide combat instruction to them? If so, she was interested in what he thought of quirk and their effectiveness in combat. And then there was her classmate Miku. She was a nice girl that Kyla hadn't gotten the chance to hang around with too much. She was interested in seeing how the girl was going to grow as a hero just as much as the others in her class. Walking to stand next to her, Kyla attempted to smile but kept the straight face she always seemed to have. "Hello." She spoke up, looking at Miku before turning to face the teacher. ”

Time had come got quirk combat training and it was going to be done on the military base of Semper Fi. It recently opened up to the people with quirks as they had become a point of interest to the military. Their teacher saw the opportunity and used it to improve the combat qualities of his students. This made Ericka happy. She had this kind of training before, due to the nature of her quirk, and wanted to see how it was done officially. Beforehand, her parents taught her how to fight and even how to use firearms. They were talents she came into the program already know. So to be able to add on what she learned in class to that was an important thing. She came to the base the same as everyone else. And when she arrived, she saw that two of her classmates were already there. Miku and Kyla were present and awaiting instruction from the teacher.
And just ahead of them was their teacher. Next to him was a person Ericka didn't recognize at all. He was a member of the military and stationed at the base they were at. It made sense that an official of some kind was present and working with them. She didn't know too much about the Japanese military, but she knew that they did good things. A lot of people just saw the military as some kind of hostile war machine. Truthfully, that was part of what they were. However, Ericka saw the value in the people that put their lives on the line to protect them. And even though Ericka was a foreigner, she respected them just as much. "Hello everyone." The girl spoke out as she walked toward her classmates. "It seems we'll be doing something quite different today." She added.

Quirk Combat Training huh? Due to the nature of his quirk he literally had to take it before but it was mostly from his mother who helped train him and sometimes his own father when he wasn't busy since it was technically both of their quirks combined into one. Rawlin learned at an early age that his power especially was very dangerous and often hid that power behind that nice smile he has and does whenever he's stressed. He hides behind that smile in a sense but noticed three girls on this trip with himself as the only boy he noticed so far.
He had not seen any other guys but he may have missed a few but he didn't concentrate on that. Instead he put his focus on the other students and the only guys he saw once he got there. Two teachers it seemed but upon closer examination it was one of the military and another was a teacher, though a but younger looking that he had expected. Rawlin got out of the bus and greeted the others with a wave and his usual big smile and began to stretch his neck then the rest of his body as he remained his in usual outfit he always wore which was a black T-Shirt with a blue jean jacket, blue jeans, black and white sneakers and of course his always worn black finger-less gloves.
"So are we good to go everyone?" he would ask with a smile. "I may be still new to UA but I will give it my best shot!" he said excitedly with a bright smile as he waited for the others to arrive.

Kaling received the teacher’s message for the quirk combat training, that would be the perfect opportunity for him and his partner to test what’s lacking and needed fixing in his robotic frame, he already had spent the whole day of what to do to improve his friend body, but it was kinda hard to pinpoint things without an actual test. Another thing improvement were Kaling’s fighting abilities and his overall strength and fitness, he could upgrade his robot and develop his quirk for how much he wanted, but it would be for nothing if he kept weak and vulnerable as he is now, after all smart opponents will probably try to get past his robot buddy and go for Kaling himself in a fight.
The boy and his robot ran all the way from the armory, until the point marked by their teacher, he was apparently late, as a lot of people already were there. He also observed that there was one of the military standing near his teacher, but the man didn’t seem to pay much attention to anything besides his knives.
-Hello, everyone, hope you’re all doing well. - Kaling said waving his arm to everyone, the robot who was standing besides him started waving a second later, trying to imitate the boy’s movements. Then they waited for the teacher’s instructions with their arms crossed.

Post by Tetsuko Shindou on Sept 11, 2018 7:29:57 GMT -4
Things just kept on changing around her, and it was getting hard for Tetsuko Shindou to keep up with it all. Like the world was spinning on forward, while she was just running along and trying to desperately to keep pace with it. A difficult task for someone as traditionally influenced as she.
Bodily changes and developing interpersonal relationships aside, one of the biggest changes as of late had come from the swordswoman’s oldest friend and dearest lover, Elise von Eisenberg. The girl who’d once put all her efforts into becoming a kind and noble doctor had suddenly decided to pursue the path of Heroism, to take on an active combat role and put her newfound abilities with firearms to good use as a righteous champion…
Times changed, everything did, and yet, they remained the same. Tetsuko was an old-fashioned girl, and had trouble adjusting to all these changes, but the knowledge that nothing would never really be different, that Elise would still be the same girl she’d fallen in love with, comforted her. Even as strange and sudden as all these changes were, even as concerned as Tetsuko was about what motivated them.
That being said, it wasn’t like Elise training in 1-B was by any means a bad thing. On the contrary, it was a rather interesting development for the pair! It meant that, more than ever, they were learning to work alongside one another, becoming accustomed to each other’s strengths and weaknesses in a variety of settings. And Tetsuko was sure today would be no different. A mass text had stirred the girls into action, revealing another possibility to train in the special military camp. It had read:
‘Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening, Good Day, Good Night, Good everything.
Or maybe, just maybe, you can practice your quirks to help in the aftermath? -Signed, Arata Hayashi, Aka Glovebox’
And so it was that the two girls would be walking down toward their teacher, in their training outfits most likely. Tetsuko herself had on her usual short-sleeved tracksuit, rather than any kind of Hero outfit. She didn’t even have one yet, though hoped to remedy that someday with the help of her Class President.
”Now that I think about it Eli, it’ll be interesting to see you tackle the combat curriculum…” Tetsuko would muse idly as she walked beside her lover. The swordswoman herself was stretching one arm, feeling the iron move within it as she prepared for the trials ahead. ”I mean, outside of your, er, marksmanship… I’ve never really thought how your Quirk could be used for proper combat.”
Tetsuko was still conflicted on Eli’s aptitude for gunnery, though it was more out of a lingering whiplash than anything else. It was still stunning to know that Eli had such an interest in that kind of thing, but soon enough, it would probably become just a normal part of her as time went on. Pushing that concern aside, Tetsuko would approach the teachers and her classmates, most of whom she already knew by now, and stood ready to get to work.
”Ready to show me what you got?” Tetsuko would tease her girlfriend, though with a genuine curiosity on her actual fighting ability.

Post by Elise Von Eisenberg on Sept 11, 2018 8:03:17 GMT -4
If there was one thing that Elise genuinely believed, then it was that even if the world continued to turn in its unpredictable and sometimes way too fast cycle, then it was the fact that some things would never change. Her love for Tetsuko only continued to grow, each day and night they spend alongside each other reminding the young Eisenberg of the reason she had started walking this path. Indeed, once upon a time she had just been a kind and considerate girl who wanted to help those dear to her back onto their feet, to be there and to heal them after they had suffered, but those days were gone. In the wake of the loss of her parents Elise von Eisenberg had no choice but to come to terms with the fact that there was a limit to her kindness, that kindness didn't always save people, and if she wanted to keep the last one dear to her safe, she needed to start putting in some serious effort. No longer would she merely be pleased by walking behind Tetsuko, watching the girl's back, no she wanted to be there at her side, to support her through the trials and help ease the burdens she would inevitably carry upon her shoulders.
Indeed, for Tetsuko's sake, she would become a hero who could help support and keep her loved one safe, to ensure she wouldn't suffer the same fate as her father had done. A soft yawn escaped Elise's lips as she heard the soft buzz of her phone next to the pillow, and while initially, she wanted to ignore the sound to instead snuggle the much larger pillow she had her arms wrapped around, it seemed Tetsuko had received a message at the same time, making her look up at Tetsuko's phone in bewilderment. "He really used all the greetings he could think of~ Mhmm! Good Night Sensei~ Please excuse me while I go back to snuggling into my pillow." As if to amplify the convincing nature of her comment she nuzzled sideways against Tetsuko when finally she hummed softly. "Then again~ skipping class would make Arata-sensei likely get too much inspiration for that book of his, and the last thing we want is for there to be a yuri doujinshi of our adventures~" A sheepish giggle followed as she recalled her recent conversation with their homeroom teacher, and so lazily stretching her arms and giving Tetsuko a final cuddle she rose up from the bed. "Which means that we'll have to get ready for class~"
Fortunately, it didn't take long for the duo to arrive at the class, but considering the nature of this class told them to bring along 'whatever tool they worked with' it seemed Elise would have to be creative. "Hehe~ there is more about combat than dishing out punches or kicking people in the chin." Elise hummed softly as she held a box resembling a first-aid kit in her arms and the familiar low buzzing of the combat drone floating behind them. "My quirk? Well, if it's for an actual offensive purpose you can say goodbye to my usefulness." Elise hummed with a sheepish grin but she raised the box in her arms and mused softly. "But being able to tend to injuries on the battlefield without hindering the combatant is a pretty neat ability to have~ You know, I been experimenting with medicine ever since middle school, and I can properly replicate my Quirk's effect in the form of medicine."
She smiled proudly as she nodded her head lightly and continued. "Bandaids with a salve on them, salves, potions and even medicine pills, normally they are less effective than using my quirk unless I use an overdose of my fluids to make them. This box contains about an entire month worth of fluids! But it's an excellent opportunity for me to use them." Yet it seemed there was something else Elise wanted to express, her cheeks flushing up lightly as she shyly scratched her cheek and mused softy. "Besides, I'd rather use my Quirk on you. My kisses are reserved for my girlfriend~ But I guess I can use certain alternative methods to heal people in time of need~"
She smiled sheepishly at her lover as they arrived at the aforementioned area that they were assigned to meet up at. Like instructed Elise had come in U.A's tracksuit, although she had a light jacket on top of it which had several pockets, one which contained the device with which she could operate the combat drone that was following behind her. "Good morning everyone." She said in a greeting to everyone else before hearing Tetsuko's teasing remark. "I hope you're not planning to ask me to fisticuffs, I'm more likely to hurt my hand than to bruise someone." Elise replied with a teasing poke of her tongue while shaking her head lightly. "When it comes to combat my only selling points are my stamina, which I'm sure you're already aware of and my skill with firearms. Whether it's speed or strength I'd be quite lackluster compared to our classmates. But I'm confident that I got at least one thing most of them can't do."
Well, aside from making Tetsuko blush furiously, she thought with a sheepish smile while the drone beeped softly, the camera giving feedback for the principal to see. Today was the second class she would experience in the hero course, and if she was entirely honest? Even if it was a combat class, Elise still felt quite excited at the opportunity to spend it alongside Tetsuko and learn new things! After all, to learn new skills would surely help her on the way to become a proper hero. "Well, I did watch some martial arts movies... but maybe I should ask Sensei for some tips on unarmed combat sometime." The girl mused softly, seemingly a bit amused at the thought of her dealing with some typical martial arts training like in the movies!

Quirk Combat Training? It made sense. And seeing as how Masaki hadn't known a thing about fighting, this was the session he absolutely needed to attend; that is, if he was going to become a 'hero'. The note he received was polite enough and while he only remembered meeting his teacher on a couple of occasions, he seemed like a nice enough guy. Arashi looked a little young, young enough to be a student even. It bothered Masaki a little, but who was he to question the school? If Arashi was good enough to teach them, then that settled it.
Prior to this, Masaki thought hard about how to use his quirk in combat. Realistically it would be tough, his quirk wouldn't even work without a source of metal. Fortunately, he was invited to bring something beforehand! But unfortunately, he still had nothing to work with. And without any practical fighting skills, he was likely the worst in class in combat. Masaki sought solace in being good at hitting the books and that's exactly why he was here. Adorning his gym uniform, he looked like just about any other student would. He didn't put as much care into his appearance today, figuring it would just get messy anyway. In short, he was dressed for what was hopefully more than just a beating; a chance to learn something.
Arriving to the rest of the awaiting group, he saw a bunch of familiar faces and that was a good feeling. It was only a while ago that he hadn't known anyone; what a change. Masaki smiled.
"Sorry, I'm late." Masaki apologized for his late arrival. He wasn't really late, but he was used to racing to be the first one on the scene. In truth, he had to muster up the confidence to even show up today. Among the group, he saw another man in the distance. That must be the combat specialist. Masaki thought, rubbing his chin. Much more manly than Glovebox. he added a conclusive nod. Spotting the knives, he wondered if he could use those? Those would work with his quirk and Masaki took note to ask later. He awaited further instructions from within the group, arms crossed.

Checking his cell phone, Kogami received a text message from someone that he wasn't expecting to receive a message from. Granted it was his teacher that gave him the phone and it somewhat symbolized everyone being closer together in some way, but he didn't know that his teacher could send out messages like that.
"As a matter of fact, it's not like I even know what the number of this phone is."
He vaguely figured it out by using the SMS messaging system in order to connect with a few others, like Miku or Kyla, but that was about it in the sense of having more connections or contacts for Koga to reach out to. Maybe it'll be a little bit different this time? Maybe he would be able to make more connection with others.
"Speaking of connections..."
Kogami heard something about Miku that was probably none of his business, but he didn't know why he kept thinking about it or why it even bothered him in the first place. He tried not to think about it and instead wanted to focus completely on the combat specialist that was going to be there. Maybe Kogami will learn something new?
After arriving, Kogami didn't even say anything. He was simply itching to get started as he held a bag of chips in his hand.

Alright! he had nine attendees. With everyone coming up, he scrolled through his phone, utilizing a function on it to mark down who was here with a simple tap on each of their faces. Miku was here first, Kogami was here last. He took the time to hold up a finger to Kazuo to indicate he needed a moment, sending out a message to everyone else that had not arrived on time.
Alright, sorry, but the rest of you have thirty minutes to get here or I expect a five page paper on why the study of combat is important for anyone in today's age. From the concept of self defense and preservation all the way to why combat specialists exist in this world today. He tapped the option to make it a priority message, completing that, he put his phone away and turned around to address everyone in the class.
Kazuo meanwhile was busy sharpening the various knives he kept on his person with a grumble. He did not like Arata one bit. A lot of people found him a difficult pill to swallow. Someone so emboldened by every single action they did made it hard to grow any sort of a connection with them, just because of their bombastic nature.
"Hey Miku, glad you could make it. I hope you have been alright, things are all right, right? Kyla, it's great to see you again! As talkative as ever." He marked a few new faces, "Man, have I really been gone that long?" He reached back in to his hood to rub his neck, but made a slight wince and moved his hand away from it, tugging his hood tighter over his head. "Right. It's good to see all of you. Again, I'm sorry for being gone. But, I'm back now and we're going to have a lesson today about something you all need to have if you are going to be students here."
"In this world, there are going to be people who are going to want to fight, no matter what you say or do. And, should it come to that, there are even people who can counter your quirk, heaven forbid they have a quirk that cancels it completely. You'd be just a normal person, something you need to be aware of. Or maybe, your quirk can't be used in a normal tight enclosed setting. That's why we are here today. We're going to learn how to fight from someone that specializes in getting around quirks while not having one themselves." He motioned over to Kazuo, who just scowled.
"I'm not having any of you fight him, so don't worry about that. I'll be fighting him myself as a demonstration. After that, I want all of you to pair off, or in some cases, go for a two versus one, and practice with one another, trying to find holes in each others' strategy. Better to learn your weak points from someone you can call a friend than someone that is your enemy. So, who's ready? I'm ready! Kazuo! You read-Okay!" He turned around to see Kazuo coming straight at him, having had enough of the bravado.
The older man through a left hook straight from overhead and downward, looking to strike Arata in the side of the head, but Arata doubled back, while Kazuo rushed forward, grabbing on to Arata's hood, and yanked downward to thrust his knee straight up in to Arata's stomach, leaving the teacher on the ground on his hands and knees while Kazuo doubled back himself and struck up a professional martial arts pose. Krav Maga by the looks of it.
Coughing and sputtering, Arata clutched his stomach while one hand, the other braced on the ground while he shut one eye, smirking under that hood of his, "Right, lesson one, don't monologue." He said through pained breath as he started to stand up, while Kazuo came rushing forward for another attack. Something Arata responded to by flicking his arm, the one that was not clutching his stomach, flashing those black marks along his knuckles as dull lights escaped two of them.
Comical, 1920s cartoon styled gloves appeared in the air, and interlocked their fingers while acting like a tower shield, tackling in to Kazuo's body to keep the man at bay while Arata caught his breath. Well, this was one way to kick off a fight.

Demon Machine i no longer fear ending my hell Nyke was late for class. It wasn't a usual thing for her, but she wasn't coming to class from school like the rest of the students. Instead, she was coming from her father's home. He was taking her to class after she spent the night there with him. Nyke wasn't too happy about it. She was pretty punctual as far as classes went, so being late was a small stain on her record. However, knowing how classes went, she had plenty of time to reach the class and get a feel for what was going on. If she remembered correctly, they were going to have a combat class of some kind. Fighting was a part of what heroes did. In fact, it was the one thing the hero license allowed for quirks to do that no one else could. Being able to use your quirk in a fight was pretty big and just about the only way to compete against a villain that didn't care for the rules.
And sure enough, when she reached the base, Nyke had to find her way to where her class was, but not without a kiss goodbye to her father. She made her way through the base with a guard escort and eventually arrived at where the rest of the class was standing. He made it in the middle of the teacher's explanation that they were going to be doing mock battles against each other and to have a session where they watched him fight one of the soldiers. Silently, Nyke stepped into the line of students as the fight started. Nyke didn't really know a whole lot about the fighting ability of other students. She hadn't gotten into a tussle of any kind with anyone yet and she didn't really plan on it either. Seeing what they could do would prove interesting for sure. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ

Luckily, Miku would not be the sole student for long as Kyla soon arrived who greeted Miku with a simple hello. Miku glaldly smiled and returned the greeting "Hello!" She was happy she would not be alone. And she was even happier that her teacher greeted her "I've been ok, sensei. But now I'm super eager to learn about todays lesson. I wanna get good!" she told her teacher
Then, after Kyla, it was Ericka who arrived and greeted everyone present. Miku greeted Ericka back, it was only polite. After the class president, a new face appeared. A student with spiky and bright red hair. Miku greeted him by just waving to him since she did not know the classmate, nor did he directly speak to her.
After that another new face appeared. She did not know who he was, but he looked nice, as in looking like a nice guy. Then Tetsuko arrived, who actually was a familiar face and then Elise?!? Elise arrived? That actually left Miku surprised, though not visibly. But considering a General Studies student arrived and got transfered in a Hero Course did make her extremely worried. Worried that she might get demoted to General Studies
She tried not to dwell on her worries as the next arrival was Masaki and then lastly Kogami, who she did not see in a looong time "I wonder was Kogami too sick for class or something" she thought
Seemingly having enough of waiting around, the lesson started. The teacher talked and even said that he'll fight the soldier man as a demonstration. Miku disliked the idea, but did not voice her opinion. The man just sent her bad vibes. She did her best not to watch or stare at him. Actually she avoided the mans gaze.
But as she stopped looking at the man and focused on her teacher, the man attacked. The fight started before teacher could finish his sentence. Rude. She focused on this fight, of course, rooting for her teacher to win. She focused so much, she did not notice Nyke arrive at all

Kaling stood there with his arms and his robotic friend right behind him, observing as more people started to appear, since that was his first class, he didn’t recognize any of them, but he was glad to see that he wasn’t that late though, it would be a bit embarrassing to get late on his first class.
The boy listening carefully to Arata when he started the class, speaking about every hero should be prepared to fight without using his quirk, since if an opponent could completely counter counter their quirk, he would have to right like an average person and rely only on his skills and physical condition. That was even more true in Kaling’s case, if he just focused on upgrading his link with his friend and his robotic frame, he would be seen as an easy target any smart enough villain to aim for him instead of his sturdier partner, which means that physical combat training would be as important for him as training his quirk.
When his teacher said that he would fight a military specialist first as demonstration, Kaling got a little excited, it would be awesome to see how strong(and also how cool) Arata’s fighting style and quirk were.
But before his teacher ended his explanation, the military guy rushed into him before had a chance to finish his speech, which ended with Arata taking a blow to the stomach. “That one must’ve hurt like hell, this military specialist has no patience at all it seems.” the purple haired boy thought to himself. But it seems his teacher wasn’t going down with an attack like that, and soon and Kaling got amazed when he saw his teacher using his quirk to summon some kind of cartoonish gloves to fend his opponent attacks and probably strike back. Raising both of his fists in excitement, the watched their fight until the end, too focused on it to notice anything else.

There was no shortage of people, a couple of more people had arrived even after he declared himself late. So, it lessened the blow for him. Once Arata started to speak, he became much more attentive. This was the rare opportunity to learn and understand what he would need to know regarding the basics of close-quarters battling. The only way to learn was hands-on or so Arata professed. The logic was all sound to Masaki thus far, but he still wondered how he would prepare for it all. Not just the hand-to-hand combat, but someone potentially countering his quirk. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a small notebook and pen to take notes.
Masaki squinted his eyes at the sucker punch Kazuo delivered to Arata. It looked painful and unfortunately was probably accurate depiction of what to expect. He didn't know if this was part of the lesson, but he was sure to write it down in his small book. Watch... out... for... sucker punches. Masaki thought in sync with each fragment of the sentence. Nodding soon after putting the number one at the start of the sentence. Wise words.
Masaki phrased it as a sucker punch, but he will always remember it for what it was. A sucker combo. It was enough to drop his teacher to his hands and knees. There wasn't much else to takeaway here, other than his confidence in Arata's capabilities being slightly shaken.
"Right, lesson one, don't monologue."
When he heard the words, he immediately jotted them into his small book with the number two in front of it. It might have been lesson number one for others, but it certainly was Masaki's lesson number two. Viewing Arata's cartoon style hands appear, this is what he was waiting for. He would be taking notes of this quirk as well. He raised one hand up to chin and eagerly awaited what happened next.
