he knew the Janitor knew something more than anyone had any business knowing... Especially a fucking janitor. The school didn't really know that Kanna's quirk gave her access to any network she entered, and she went to great lengths to keep them in the dark. As far as anybody knew, even her own file, she could manipulate the flow of information between different components of an electronic device... But this woman... She was a complete mystery to her, and she couldn't help wanting to know more. Knowledge is power. The words she lived by, tattooed beside her left breast, as close to her heart as she thought of putting it at the time. Mind you, Kanna didn't exactly do this hoping she'd get a chance to meet up with her or anything. She always ate whenever she saw a scarce amount of people hanging around, and this time it just happened to be the eastern strairwell, halfway to the top floor. She didn't know what were the empty rooms there used for, proably unoccupied club rooms? At a school this new, she wasn't surprised to find so much empty space, but that worked out to her favor. So there she sat, with a cooling pad and computer upon her lap, and a backpack within reach of her tattooed left hand. Beside that backpack laid an empty bag of Chips, a large, half drunk can of Monstruous energy, and a mostly eaten pack of cookies. "Bytecoin's finally going up for real again...", mumbled the girl, watching the rising tip of the live graph with a soft, pleased smirk. She guided another chocolate chip cookie into her mouth, careful not to drop too many crumbles on her prized red jacket. Perhaps she'd one day make 1000 Yen as fast as she lost them that day, but she wouldn't hold her hopes. Maybe if she perfected her cryptoBot she might finally get that chance. One could call the jacket the only real piece of clothing she had on, with her skimpy crop top and hotpants leaving very little to imagination... Only she didn't even have it on, leaving it down under her legs, baring the largest of her body art, the dancing dragon and phoenix on her back. Few people asked her about it, saving Kanna the trouble of telling them to go fuck themselves and mind their own business. All the perks of being extremely unapproachable mattered far more than the impediments, and for the most part the blonde saw the latter as benefits as well. Perhaps today she'd manage to finish her lunch without anybody bothering her... ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

Lunchtime. It was her favorite part of the day, at least before this whole QED thing popped up. While she hated it, it meant less people in the halls. It was silent for the most part, even if it meant more vomit, as well as bathroom located messes. The thought of them didn't off put her appetite, her stomach empty, hungry. She had gone to the roof, mainly to check up on her car without leaving the building, as well as seeing who else was still around. It was a nice view, but still it was not something she found herself enjoying. She begun her decent of the stairs, her hands in the pocket of her uniform. In her mouth a skewer stick from the barbecue she had brought that morning. She ate it, even though it was cold. Little things like that never seemed to bother her. Her feet would slide against each step as she slowly walked down. The colored fabric that had been tied around her feet like bandages were tightly woven. They were stiched, bloodied and stained scraps of left over garments, shirts, and other discarded fabrics. From old silk shirts to dirty rags that were used too much, she didn't waste anything. The top of her uniform jumpsuit was unzipped, the top sleeves wrapped around her waist and tied in the front. Her shirt was white, with a pocket over her left breast. On it, an emblem of her other employer in blue. The uniform of any nurse; Scrubs. Around her neck was a purple plain lanyard with an identification card with the same emblem. In the corner of it was a picture of the same janitor but with pink hair. On it, a slightly different name, Kana Tsuna, one that she used at her job for many different reasons. Her silver hair bounced with each step downwards until she saw someone. "Really? Again?" Kasey saw the girl, only to see the computer. She had seen it far too often, how could anyone forget? "I'm going to wax this stairwell today, you're gonna need to move later." she would say. . . . but the smell of the cookies suggested otherwise. "Or if you wanna gimme those cookies, you can just stay here for as long as you want, how 'bout it?" she smiled, kneeling down, as if to take a seat a few steps above her. ~ Word Count: 402 ~ |

gh... Her again. See a problem with picking out unusual places to have lunch in is... You're not really supposed to having lunch in them. Of course Kanna didn't really give a damn, she'd eat wherever she felt like, and they should be thankful she was kind enough not to leave litter hanging around; like most other kids do. She ate another cookie, not really in any rush to pack her stuff even though she perfectly knew what was coming next. She wasn't about to start a fight with school faculty over just doing their job, Kanna wasn't nearly that petty. She'd get out of the woman's way in time, at her own pace, and defenitely not before she actually said anything. "You again...", groaned the blonde, rolling her eyes and finally looking out the corner of one, not really paying her too much attention, "Yeah, yeah, I know what you want." Kasey the Janitor, a mysterious woman who knew far more than she should. Then again, that's about all Kanna knew of her, but she was likely onto something big considering her transportation. She had a better car than the director, what sense does that even make? Naturally, the inquisitive hacker was interested in her, but at this point, she had no way of real way of indulging that interest without also revealing knowledge she wasn't supposed to posess. For now, theirs was a the expected relationship between a delinquent student and a meddlesome janitor trying to do her job. But that was about to change. When the woman asked for a cookie, Kanna's eyebrow rose. Was she messing with her... Was it really so easy to get Kasey to leave her alone: "Oh, so I can actually finish my fucking lunch for once? Sure, knock yourself out.", she rose her pack of cookies as a form of peace offering, taking one for herself and returning to her coding. Guess today she could probably win something a little bit more valuable than her digital money, or even the colossal amount of power she was making Yuuei pay for. Everything was all fine and dandy, except for one pesky little detail. Kanna really didn't like people peeping over her screen; yeah she could deal with it, but if possible, "Do you really gotta sit that close...?" She expressed this pleasure with a dull look, not really about to explain exactly what she disliked. Even sitting right next to her might be preferrable, as Kanna could simply lean against the railing or some thing. Of course, not that the janitor could make much sense of her code now, could she? Hopefully not... ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

There was a lot of things she didn't need to be doing, but she did them anyways. The teachers were professional heroes. They didn't have the time to toy with and deal with all of the students and their petty matters. For as long as she was paid to be there for the day, she would task herself with these little things. She didn't have to, but she did. . . . and well, it was something that impeded her workflow. The girl gave the usual attitude, but this time, with the lack of a flighted meal, she would deal with the girl's own selection. Perhaps it was asking too much, but she didn't care. It wasn't like she was forcing the student to do anything.
"I mean, with this stupid drug, it's not like I really have somewhere else to be. Half of the school is in the nurses's office or is bedbound." She would taking a few for herself to take in her hands before moving to a seat behind the girl. As she would speak up again, Kasey would move a few move up from her, and to the opposing side of the stairs, the both of them blocking the passage.
"Just curious to what the hell ya doin'. Don't look like homework. I think? I don't really know what kind of homework they give out..." Kasey would lift one of the treats to her lip before snapping it in half. For once, she was going to savor her meal. She would place both of her feet firmly on the steps a few down from her and lean a bit forward. Enough to get a better look at not the screen, but the girl. "Were you born with those?" she would ask, refering to the tattoos and the piercing on her face. She was curious, and for once, the opportunity to ask was presented.

heir deal made and conditions give, Kasey accepted the cookies and promptly sat on the other side of the stairs. Much better. Almost reflexively, Kanna Removed the backpack and leftovers between herself and the railing, and scooted her butt back, leaning against the makeshift metallic backrest. Not super comfortable but much better than seating up... And more importantly, this allowed her to both keep her screen hidden from view, and get a good look at the janitor who once annoyed the shit out of her, but now simply sat here, casually sharing cookies like one would with a friend. Odd, but pretty... First impressions only got her that far, though Kanna couldn't help admire how the girl's green eyes had almost the same shimmering shade of jade as her own. She also spotted "Yeah, people still haven't learned not to eat or drink anything they get at the school.", she shook her head, clicking her tongue in annoyance, "Idiots..." Kanna wouldn't mind giving that drug a test run, but she really had no clue what it did when abused, or even how good the stuff was. She found it perfectly possible for much of the side effects plaguing the students to result from what cutting agent used by the perps. And speaking of pharmaceuticals, she couldn't help but spot that KC logo on the woman's uniform, and immediately her eyebrow rose; seemingly in response to Kasey's inquiry on her homework... "That's really none of your business is it...?", is what she'd have much rather said, narrowing her eyes and left it at that. But with the janitor kind enough to let her laze about and she eventually sighed in resignation, accepting how just that little explanation wouldn't really hurt her, "But if you must know... I'm mining digital money." Might as well not shove away the chick she actually wanted to understand... Kanna didn't really feel like explaining what Bytecoin was. "What... These...?", the blonde actually took a while to understand, seemingly confused, looking down at her own, scarcely covered form. When her eyes fell on the compass on her left hand, shifting back up into Kasey's, as she raised her inked left hand. Should the janitor inevitably confirm this, her eyes would widen, "Seriously...? You don't know what body art is?", of course, that baffled look lasted no more than a few seconds until she realized. Just a joke. Once more she shook her eyed, rolling her eyes at herself more than the woman, "Right, you're fucking with me..." As they were playing twenty questions, Kanna felt it was only fair to ask some of her own. She stretched one leg out forward, just enough her foot might brush one of the Janitors, but not enough to properly intrude on her personal space. At the same time, she rested the pack of cookies between them both, looking curiously into her eyes: "What's with the KC badge...? You a fangirl or something?", she asked, nodding towards the very visible corporate tag ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY[/quote]

Deals and trades. Dark deals and darker trades. That was what went on in her life, as well as the dark and deep web. All of Kasey's evil and sinister secrets could be at anyone's fingertips... provided anyone could remember all of the names and identities she used. Constantly becoming a new person, everyday, and moment. How could any single sane person keep up with such complex things? Of course, if the person wasn't sane at all then perhaps... Kanna went on to make light, or make fun, of the fools that fell to the drug. Maybe it was because of her own healing, or the use to Leviathan's abuse of her own similar nature that Kasey had not even noticed its effects. Still, she sipped from a water bottle filled with with the cure to something that the nurses struggled with. Of course, hidden in a room with other blue liquids, no one would think it different than other window cleaner. And for a girl who ate garbage, trying to drink what she drank, was an equally poor idea. "Mining digital money?" she repeated it to herself. Wasn't mining those things people did in caves in the dark? It was something laborous with that weird crescent shaped tool. But if she was playing a game maybe, perhaps that was what she meant. Yes, that game with the squares and strange creatures. Digi Mine, or something, right? As she held up her hand, Kasey's head would tilt a bit to the side, to line up with the hand to try and make out the design more clearly. Perhaps she would get some of this art for herself. How long it would last on her body would be unknown to her, but it was something she wanted to try. Whatever magical pen they used to draw it, must be magical to leave markings on someone's skin for seemingly forever. ". . . It's an expensive hobby and you know it." Setsuna was silent up until this point, sitting comfortably within the confines of her mind. He didn't want to know what had been going on in the school, and if there was anything for him, Kasey would have called upon him. While they were in the walls, he knew he was subject to watching her eat trash and garbage. A tasteless activity, one that fed him, but one he did not enjoy. Looking past her eyes, he too stared at the compass before retiring just the same. "We'll end up spending a small fortune on it. Plus, it doesn't last that long. Needless to say it won't be perma-""Body art." she repeated. "Oh, it is an ink tattoo." she would say, repeating what she had learned from books. She assumed it was pen, or paint, but if it was tattooed then it was done with a special magician that used a special gun pen... or something right? But she nodded to the tag around her neck. Kasey looked down, her right reaching towards the card and it's plastic holder. Her fingers happening to cover the name she used there. The picture of her own natural pink hair would still be seen. And on her face, the same smile she wore every day. The one that looked forward to her large meals at night. "Well, it is my other job." Kasey would begin to explain, probably more than she had even been asked to do. "I have many jobs. I do my secretary work in the morning, then I come here, then after here I go to the hospital to help the doctors and nurses." she would tell Kanna, all the while not realizing she was. "Saves me a bit of time not having to change from one uniform to the next. The faster I can get to my car, the faster I can get to work... well other work."Personal assistant. Janitor. Nurse. Tailor. i oi... Please tell me you brought that bottle from home.", bringing her hand to her forehead with a hint of annoyance, Kanna shook her head once more. Kasey seemed clueless enough for the blond to deem her perfectly capable of actually ingesting shit she got at school, even with their recent discussion, "What were we just talking about?" Regardless of her answer, Kanna scratched her head and moved on... How was she going to explain this. Could she even put it in words the woman could understand? If she knew anything about technology, she hid it pretty well, as well was with most other shit the blonde considered common sense: "Think of it like a really difficult puzzle...", explained the techie, bringing her hands together and rolling them around like one would solve a rubik's cube, tilting her head as her tattooed hand came to rest atop the lid of her laptop, "Only a powerful computer can crack it given enough time, and it's still kinda like a lottery. If you find the solution, they give you money and the next puzzle gets harder. But if you don't win, you'll just burn up your computer and need new parts." While it sounded pretty much like a lottery, Kanna disliked gambling. Then, why would she bother with something like this...? Well, unlike random games, a skilled coder like her could easily make a fair bit of cash, more than enough to afford the replacement parts and also make some money on the side. She refrained from mentioning about the other element needed for mining: Electricity. It used up an absurd amount of power; but thankfully, the school could pay for that, but only if they didn't hear about it and make any rule against it. Looking at those curious jade eyes, she couldn't help but wonder if anything actually made sense to her; so much she even preferred to discuss her body art with the school faculty. The unusual girl continued to act clueless, only suddenly realizing it was an ink tattoo: "No, it's just a dumb question... Of course it's a fuckin' ink tattoo, what else could it be...?", she answered again, an exasperated sigh while still convinced Kasey was just trying to poke fun at her... Eating another cookie, she couldn't help but cross her arms and raise an accusing, knowing eyebrow, "Damn, you guys get real creative when bitching at your students dont ya?" Very slowly though, the attentive hacker gradually started considering how the woman might not be alright in the head. Which begged the question of how much she actually, and whether she understood the value of the things she knew. With too many mysteries sitting in front of her - in the form of an oddly pretty, enterprising janitor - she steadily lost interest in her crypto mining, leaving her bot to do all the work, shifting her legs slightly as she cracked open another can of energy drink: "All of those jobs seem like they'd pay far better than mopping floors, a lot more interesting too.", she observed, her face betraying a slight hint of awe. Not surprise though, the woman's money had to come from somewhere, and even if having many jobs didn't explain everything, the blonde's deduction was off to a good start, "...Why even bother with the janitor gig?" She would watch the strange hand geustures silently, trying to invision what she was going to convey. Her eyes would follow the marked hand as it seemed to shut the lid of the computer. She understood what a lottery was, as well as money. Still, she had no real concept of wealth or value. The numbers in her bank account, or rather, accounts, were meaningless to her. They were just numbers, and it seemed the more numbers there were, the more value they had. But still, she had no idea how to count, much less how to read her own finances. Resting her elbows into the meat of her legs, she sat quietly. her face lay cupped in her hands as she took yet another long, dragged out lunch break. She continued to stare at the girl, only for her eyes this time to fall towards her belly, seeing the other marking there. Unlike the other, she couldn't really make out what it was. Was it a face? She leaned on her left, as her right would shove the rest of the cookies, which rested in her lap now, into her face. The crumbs falling everywhere on her clothing. Who was going to clean up that mess? Oh right, she would. Listening, she would find the girl swearing, at her. But her words didn't seem to be angry. Was this that Stargasm people spoke of? Starrazm... Starblasm? Starchasim. Whatever that word was, was she doing it? Kasey was silent, until like any time she ever talked to a student led to the inevitable conversation. "I wanted the graveyard shift..." she admitted it, just like the dozens of times before. "buuut, the school sucks, and I'm the only janitor, so my seniority means jack shit now." she would speak, leanind back to the railing, her hands resting in her lap. She would sign before continuing. "I prefer to work jobs where I don't actually have to talk to people.. or well, a lot of people. Tried being a waitress and man that sucked." She even gave a light giggle at the end of it. "This job really just pays for my booze... and well, my dental."~ Word Count: 365 ~ |

er eyes shifted to her midriff, likely checking out Kanna's tribal spider tattoo... She didn't look like the sort who'd just stand there checking out her body for lustful reasons, and she'd already expressed interest in the delinquent's body art: "Why you staring so damn hard anyway... Did you really never see a tattoo before in your life?", frowned the blonde, somewhat annoyed at her staring far more intently than anybody had any business doing, and not even looking at her eyes either. Even Kanna looked away every so often, to put away her computer or grab some more of her energy drink. And in one of those times, a suspicious crunching sound drew her jade gaze right back to her. Seeing her eating through all her remaining snacks, Kanna snapped on reflex, scowling as her back raised off the railing, "...And why the hell you eating all my fucking cookies?!" Regardless of what Kasey answered, she wasn't gonna eat them now even if the janitor spat them out. Hell, she was even messier than Kanna who at least swiped the crumbs off her lap and shorts, even her jacket just in case some fell on it: "Ugh...! You're making a mess of yourself; clearly you ain't that good at your job...", she admonished, pointing at the crumbs on her lap In the end, she groaned and rested back against the railing, lazily bending one leg back, hooking her right arm around it. Despite her annoyance, she didn't have nearly enough cookies left to actually hold it against her; especially once the janitor uttered something the blonde actually understood: "Yeah, I get ya... You wouldn't catch me waiting tables even if my life depended on it.", for the first time, her expression seemed earnest, devoid of the snide, abrasive bitchiness she relied on to push others away. Not nearly enough to suddenly get all buddy buddy with the girl sitting in front of her. She still hadn't figured out if the girl was smart or an idiot, and in either case, whether that was real or just a front she cooked up, "If you really want to avoid dealing with people, technology's the way to go. You can even do your job without getting your ass off your desk." Those words resonated with the blonde, who sank a bit further on her makeshift sit, denim clad butt sliding a few inches further away from the railing, feeling somewhat more comfortable with the odd woman's presence now they at least had something in common, no matter how ordinary: "Still, paying for your drinking habit with a janitor job. Gotta be one hell of an alcoholic to get that desperate, but whatever floats your boat I guess...", chuckled Kanna, shrugging and raising her hands, all but scoffing at what this woman was subjecting herself just for a few extra coins, "What kind of super expensive booze do you even drink..." Her eyes were fixated on trying to make out what that symbol was, or what it was supposed to be. She would not understand that some tattoos were just random shapes that just happened to look really good, or pretty. "You gave me these cookies. There's still some in the bag!" She even pointed back at the bag. Surely there was a few cookies left in it, right? Or maybe she really just left her with a single cookie. Oh well. 'Tis the price of speaking with a janitor. "It's not like I can't clean it later! I have to mop before I wave the floor anyways. She would say it, knowing fully well that she was making a mess. It wasn't like she didn't steam clean her own uniform, as well as clean up wherever she was. She was good at being clean, or at least of cleaning up to a point where no trace of her was left behind. "I don't like it." Kasey would admit to the girl. Technology was not her strong suit by a long shot. She strayed from screens, and still hadn't watched television or the news any more than she did when she happened to pass by them. As long as her sister didn't appear on them, or Sato, then she didn't care. But she hoped one day Gigi would appear on the screen, as a hero who saved the day... some day. "I prefer to move, or I will get fat." She said it, but it was pretty much a lie, even if she didn't know it. She didn't like being alone, much less in a room with computers. She even rarely used her own phone outside of the various chats she had access to. She had that life. She had that life for so long. Plants did not sooth her loneliness. And even so, she had left her home with all of them to die. But with the silence of an empty house, came the reminder of the needles and knives that had prodded her with the intention of- "I like the job." she would answer. "I get to be the one to clean up after heroes. Maybe it's boring to others, but the idea of cleaning up the messes heroes can't do themselves is appealing, if not a bit funny." She would then ask about he taste in drink, only for Kasey to give the most absurd answer, or perhaps the one that was expected to begin with. "Any, and everything." Of course you do Kasey, you little alcoholic cinnamon roll you. "I tried a lot of wines, even the like hundred year old stuff. Wasn't strong enough for me. I found out about this Soju stuff from my dad and I've been drinking that. I think last week I mixed everything, and he called it "Gonna Kill You", I never realized that every kind of combination of drink already had a fancy name."Seki did not call it that name. Seki was giving a warning to the girl. And man, was he wrong about what she can handle. ~ Word Count: 519 ~ |

here really weren't any left, one simple tap on the empty, all but weightless package promptly revealed it. She looked at Kasey, did she really not notice or was she just fucking with Kanna once again...? She didn't even care anymore, she wasn't about to get pissed over four or so cookies; if they ever made this deal with her again, she'd have to assume the woman would eat anything she got her hands on. "Good to see you're not in a hurry... Cause im in no rush to get outta here either.", Kanna smirked as that defiant, authority-loathing look appeared on her face once more, yet for once not truly directed at the nameless janitor, but Kasey the chick slacking off while on the clock. This felt pretty wierd, no matter how Kanna looked at it. As the type of person usually hated by janitors and teachers alike, finding herself sitting here with one of the former like she was just another student... It felt really strange. Naturally, one good look at the not-so-busy woman promptly reminded her she couldn't be much older than the students here. She didn't really flinch at hearing her profess a dislike for her greatest affinity, Kanna hardly expected a techie in disguise here... More importantly, she felt a nudging interst in her reasoning, tilting her head in wonder as to why would a loner pick all the right jobs where she'd end up with random people in her way. "Yeah, I have a fast metabolism so that's not really a problem for me; I never put on weight.", she explained with a calm, deadpan look, clearly mostly indifferent to something many people would envy. Not even bragging about it either. She also did her fair share of training sessions - mostly martial arts - which contributed to her current shape far more than any diet ever could. Despite her lithe, slender form, she had just enough hint of tone visible enough to betray the only truly health part of her lifestyle. What drives a janitor to calmly clean up after other people's messes, the point of admitting to like the job? Kanna couldn't really help her curiosity now, could she? She actually provided an amusing enough answer for the teenager to laugh softly, one that grew louder when she admitted how she'd drink anything: "Damn, you're one hell of an alcoholic...", she shook her head, but it wasn't until she mentioned those three words that the blonde's grin disappeared once more, replaced by a wide look of bewilderment, and finally doubt, "No fucking way... Some of those bottles cost as much as your car.", mused the student, thoroughly baffled. If she hadn't seen Kasey's car, she'd never have believed it. It seemed all to obvious that most of the woman's money had to come from criminal endeavors, "Yeah, that's what bartenders always say; it's usually bullshit unless you're a total lightweight. More importantly, you're gonna have to show me those bottles one day if you want me to believe you." Visibly interested, the frowning, doubtful Kanna leaned in, crossing her arms and resting them both atop her raised knee. She had half a mind to believe her; at least, she knew Kasey must have the money for it. But it could very well be bullshit, so she definitely wanted to see it with her own eyes. As theu continued to exchange words, Kasey begin to move herself, her legs extending a few steps down, while her hands went back into her pockets. The stick she had been chewing on had vanished, almost as if they had forgotten it had existed. Written out of the story. But in actuality, she had eaten it, chewed the wood only to have it turn into mush, swallowed and made to digest later. Maybe it was eaten before the cookies, or perhaps with them, or maybe she was still chewing on it like bubble gum. It didn't matter. As she extended her legs, she rested her head on the steps, laying longways. She was comfortable, and for her back it most likely felt good. Whatever her reason for doing so was, the cartilage and the bones of her body would stiffen up, to prevent the possibility of some other pains later. She mentioned her metabolism, and Kasey nodded to it. She didn't find the need to mention that her own quirk operated on feeding Setsuna, making her powers metabolism based. To her it was unimportant, or rather unrelated to the conversation. She didn't feel like trying to clarify that she didn't mean it in a literal sense, but that she preferred to burn her calories in a more normal manner, than making Setsuna use all of the excess energy. Kasey was one of few, who took up only jobs she enjoyed. Her tastes were strange, but she had found herself never working at a place she hated, and if she did, she left shortly after. It was the reason for her flurry of many part time jobs. This place had been her first real full time job, at least until she remembered Ketsujo Corp. "I can't drink my car. Besides, my car is in the shop now. They are puttin' in a brank new block and forgeded pistons or something. I forget." It was another expensive hobby. And out of the fleet she had access to, it was the only one in her name. "KC X1" was her plate, and something far out of the area they lived in. That strange red stripe across that plate only further made that strange loner stick out. "I can bring some tomorrow probably. But I don't really think you should be drinking... at least, not at school." She would go onto say to the girl. She understood the law for the most part, and with everything that was going on, she already knew as much that none of the students really followed the rules. "As long as you don't take it with medication! Gotta choose one, not both, or you might not wake up." She would smile a large grin, only to have it fade after a few short moments. "At least, that's what people told me. I don't think it's true."~ Word Count: 478 ~ |

he too seemed to be getting comfortable around the student she always shooed off. This was about as strange a situation as she could think of for any school she'd ever been in, but little by little both women grew at ease with the other's presence, and different topics just flowed out more easily: "Yeah, mechanical shit. Let's just go with that...", yes, Kanna knew her computers and electronics... But pretty much nothing of mechanics. She could ride motorcycles, but never got her licence, nor did she own one. Some of her delinquent buddies sure loved showing them off though, and she always had ways of making them lend them whenever she really wanted, "I don't know about that any better than you do." She could somewhat drive cars too, mind you, but just like motorcycles, Kanna didn't really have a licence... She hadn't even turned 18 yet, but you only need those to deal with the cops anyway. So long as she could drive without crashing, she'd be fine... Right? Of course, she had no intention of telling the janitor of those particular adventures, and simply took the young woman's cue to focus on her wine instead. Was this really happening...? Was Kanna really about to convince the school janitor to bring her some unreasonably expensive wine? The blonde was never one for wine, or overpriced shit in general. But if someone would bring it to her for free...? Hell yeah, she wouldn't mind a taste. "Too late for that I'm afraid...", smirked the blonde, scoffing, not really admitting to have done drugs even though she easily got that message across. She brushed her hair away from her eyes, that defiant expression giving way to a soft chuckle, "Now why the hell would I do that? I'm not on any medication.", she could only dismiss her concerns with a soft wave of her hand, but this really was nothing but the truth. Kanna did self medicate every so often, but only for recreational purposes... And in that sense, alcohol was only one of the many options, "Well, too much of anything is never a good thing, more so if you're throwing other shit into the mix." For all her seeming irresponsibility, Kanna agreed with this. She nodded almost sagely, bringing one hand to her chin. Yes, she did drugs. No, she never did any drugs without knowing what they'd do to her, or whether she at least had a decent quality product: "Well, shoot enough shit in the vein and I'm pretty sure you will.", she retorted, for once acting like the voice of reason as she slapped teh inside of her elbow with her fingers. Personally, she drew the line at injectables, and would never really do any drugs she needed to shoot. She'd rather not powder her nose either, but she could handle it once or twice. But in the end, she shrugged, eyeing the overly confident, careless woman almost warily, "I'd rather not try out myself though." Hopefully she wouldn't get any ideas of doing so though. Kanna didn't exactly like her, but Kasey was the least stuffy janitor she'd met so far, and hoped the school wouldn't replace her anytime soon. ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

Cars had only recently been her obsession. They were the black devices she drove around Japan at night, full of a few masked people to go out and collect money and items. She understood the jist of what she was doing each time. They had gone around to Sato's own businesses and begun to rob the places. Kasey never did it herself, having been only the driver, but seeing as it was all of Sato's employees with each other, and that he had explained it as a training for his jobs, Kasey found nothing wrong with it. But with the other stranger routes to place she didn't know, she found actual crime with the people she moved around. She never trusted any of the bodies, but the car, the machine she used for each event, they kept her company. They spoe to her, talking back to her during those minutes alone in the vehicle. They knew her secret. They knew why they never came back home with the same number of people. They almost seemed to be the voice that told the girl which one to remove, each time... "Well don't let a teacher catch you." Kasey would say to her. "Well I mean, there's a lot of things you could mix, all of them could be bad if you don't know what they are." She spoke, not from a medical standpoint, but from someone who had unknowingly mixed the wrong combination a number of times. She at least had learned what works and what makes her forget. But of course, with Setsuna, she would be able to remind her of anything worth remembering. "Oh no, not the needles. I do not like them." Kasey would admit. All of the morphine and other things she encounter at work. She grew silent for a moment, only to ponder her own new assortment of things at home. "But I do have a few of those glass vase things at home. I don't know what they are called, but they are very pretty. You put water in them, and you put a little fire on a part of it and it makes bubbles." She would turn to face the girl, trying to figure it out. "One time, I got this stuff from my backyard and I put it in, and I completely forgot my own name." Kasey spoke, excitedly, but still confused as to what she was doing. "I think the gardener said the planter was Mary Jane. But I don't think we have anyone that works there under that name."~ Word Count: 428 ~ |

es, Kasey had a far more active, criminally enterprising lifestyle than even Kanna could imagine right now. She expected her to be involved in some shady deals that may or may not be related to her pharmaceutical business... After all, an advanced drug like the QED needed resources to develop, the kind of resources a pharmaceutical company easily had a their disposal: They could have easily made the students into guinea pigs, but how would they clean up the mess now? Kanna didn't think too much on that conspiracy theory for now, but it was defenitely worth keeping in mind as she learned more about the girl before her: More so than a well off janitor, she felt like a well off person who happened to be a janitor by virtue of her own quirkiness, choosing a job most would deem unpleasant... "Don't worry, I'll be fine...", once more, that dismissive wave of her hand and detached look on her face hinted at how little Kanna needed other people's help. She didn't look especially annoyed though, appreciating how she hadn't tried to impose it on her or anything, "I know what I'm doing after all." But to think the girl would actually go as far as engaging in this discussion; though Kanna avoided incriminating statements, she gradually came to see them both as riding on the same boat - the student who discussed drugs, the janitor who discussed drugs with a student... Neither had a reason to screw the other over. For now, Kanna nodded at her mention of needles, appreciating yet another topic they could agree on. More importantly, the girl drew a surprisingly accurate picture of a bong for someone who on some levels seemed so... Simple... She clearly had something between her ears, Kanna wasn't so blind not to notice. But did she even know what was sitting on? "Hot damn... You really should bring me a sample. We'll try it out, and if I dig it, well, I'll be down for sampling it again~", her hands loosened from around her knee, both legs stretching forward as she relaxed, casting a cursory, wary glance at her surroundings... No noise, no suspicious shadows around to hear her reasonably quiet conversation. There weren't even any cameras nearby where Kanna might be caught playing hooky and Kasey slacking off. They were just fine here. As the blonde crossed her arms behind her head - caring less about how her outstretched legs crossed a fair bit further into the janitor's space - she realized Kasey was having a harder time surprising her. Little by little, Kanna was growing used to expecting the unexpected here. Stuff in her backyard, stuff her colleagues referred to as "Mary Jane"... The blonde chuckled. Really, how clueless could she be? "No, I dont suppose you would...", retorted Kanna with a knowing, but sympathetic smile at the seemingly clueless girl. Really though, if Kasey was putting up a front, she might be the best actress ever. As if trying to test that theory, she'd shed some light on the girl's apparent confusion, her smile widening into a smirk, "Cause that's what people call those plants; it ain't the gardener's name." Paying as close attention to Kasey's reaction as possible, Kanna hoped to finally get an idea of whether this lack of knowledge was indeed real. ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY
