The class president wanted to do something for her class. With recent events and so many students coming and going, Ericka wanted the class to bond in some way. While she was able to meet a few of her classmates outside of class, it wasn't something she really got to do with everyone. So far, the class only had a single shopping trip under their belt and Ericka wanted to do more. With it being summer time, it was a good idea for them to be able to enjoy the outdoors before it got too cold. So Ericka decided on a cookout. She didn't know how popular this kind of thing was in Japan or any other country.. However summer cookouts were a staple in her home country of America. She fondly remembered how she got to visit so many of her neighbors and family's homes when she was smaller for these kinds of cookouts. There was always plenty of food and most of the time it was the same stuff. Each one usually had a dish or two that was unique, but the staples were always there. This time, Ericka wanted to see what everyone else had to offer. She wanted t taste each unique thing a person had or wanted to bring. And if they couldn't, bringing something simple like chips or hotdogs was fine as well. Ericka didn't want anyone to feel left out because they couldn't get something.
But the food and just hanging out wasn't the only reason for the gathering. Ericka also wanted to announce something she was going to do for the class. After Haruuhi was hospitalized, Ericka and a few other students from the class were able to cheer her back up and reinvigorate her goal of being a hero. And part of that was designing a way for her to better control the drawbacks of her quirk so that she wouldn't be too seriously injured. Ericka was going to make her a costume. Not only that, she wanted to do them for all her classmates. It was one thing to be in a hero course, it was another to have official costumes to wear along with it!
Ericka was currently setting up in the common area between the dormitories. There were enough open space and tables for people to sit at for them to have a nice gathering. It was on a school off day as well, so there was no need to worry about classes and the like. Students could stay as long as they felt like staying and hang out as much as they wanted. For now, all she had was the grill for anyone that wanted to cook something on it and a single table sectioned off for food to be placed. She had a floral print tablecloth spread over the table to prevent it from being dirty and to stop the outdoor mess that was on the table from getting to the food. On one side of the wooden table was a stack of paper plates, napkins, and cups. It was the most basic stuff, but as students arrived with their food the table was going to fill up and they could enjoy what each person brought.
At the moment, she was standing over the grill trying to light it. She stood with her knees touching as she carefully bent over the edge of the grill to make sure the charcoal she was using was lighting properly. A curious look was slapped on her face as she attempted to get it started. She wore a pair of overalls, much different from the usual uniform wear that everyone else was used to seeing her in. Her sizable chest stuffed into a black sports bra to cover herself up but also let her deal with the summer heat. She was used to her father doing this kind of thing, so Ericka was just kind of making an attempt without knowing what she was doing. Couldn't it have been too difficult right?

Post by Tetsuko Shindou on Aug 7, 2018 20:47:56 GMT -4
Tetsuko had grown to become a bit unsatisfied with her attempts to socialize and network within U.A. For much of her time at the academy so far, the young swordswoman had spent it training, honing her own skills to achieve the 'goal' that she valued above all else. The 'goal' that was her duty, that would affirm her abilities and dedication to her loyalties, did not necessitate her expanding her circle of trust. When she was in a healthy state, she naturally welcomed others in, but didn't go out of her way to do so. But... Things had changed, and right now, Tetsuko was pretty damn eager to find more individuals to trust, more to prove to that she was dependable.
The drug incident left Tetsuko weary and stressed, and harboring a deep-set rage aimed at the perpetrators. Having allies was a natural desire sprouting from that situation; the innate want to find security in times of hardship. Yet, this same 'want' was made more complicated by the events of the past week or so. Tetsuko didn't even want to begin to think about the events she'd gotten herself indirectly tied to, all she knew was that the fallout had very much damaged the core of her loyalist beliefs. With her trust worn down by stress from all fronts, Tetsuko eagerly invited the opportunity to accept some of her classmates as being dependable and honest.
She hadn't dealt much with them in the past, but she, fortunately, lacked a bad experience yet. On the contrary, she'd usually found a steadfast reliability in her classmates, particularly their class president. Ericka seemed like a responsible leader, the ideal person to bring them together and lead them forward as a group. Once Tetsuko had heard of her intentions to host a potluck, it seemed the perfect opportunity to reaffirm her trust in her classmates. None of whom had been involved in that night, as far she was aware. That made it a lot easier to find security amongst them. Ultimately, her mind was made up very quickly, about whether she would be attending this class gathering.
The main hurdle for her attendance, however, was figuring out what to actually bring. Though she was no stranger to outdoor cooking, grills on the shore of her hometown with an oceanside view being a fond memory of hers. But she herself had never had the deciding role in what to bring. After some consideration and advice from the Cooking Club, Tetsuko decided a staple of Japanese BBQ would be the way to go. Thus, she found herself heading to the designated cookout spot armed with a few different ingredients to grill up some yakisoba, one of the most popular Japanese street foods. She carried along with her a simple woven bag that held containers for the noodles themselves, alongside some tofu, green onions, some Napa cabbage, and a few other simple ingredients, much of which had been borrowed from said Cooking Club. Tetsuko hoped others would bring along any meat if they wished to have it, as the Shindou girl’s own choice of other ingredients was mostly resultant from her need for an iron-rich diet.
Approaching the school’s common area, Tetsuko would be clad in some simple Summer attire to beat the heat. A singlet and shorts were all she needed to cover herself up, leaving her well-maintained form a bit more exposed than normal, not that she was terribly conscious of that. When she got to the cooking grounds, Tetsuko immediately noticed just how much effort had gone into setting things up, cups and plates and napkins and a nice big table for all their meals. Ericka had spared no effort for them, further affirming to Tetsuko that she fit the role of the class’ president.
Said president was presently standing over the grill, the one Tetsuko herself would be seeking to use in a short moment, trying to get it started. ”Yo, Ericka-san!” Tetsuko would call out as she strolled on over, raising up her bag of ingredients. ”I brought some yakisoba, so lemme help you get that grill working.” The ironblooded girl suggested, already feeling her circle of trust expand a bit more. A dependable overseer was an effective way to reaffirm a faith in others, after all. Tetsuko would walk over to the grill, looking over it to see how they might get it started up, while thanking the young class president for her efforts.
”Thanks for setting this up, Ericka-san. It’s real cool of you.”

It all began once the Class 1-B chat regained life. It was thanks to the class President Ericka, that the class chat was once again used. Ericka wanted to do a thing called a potluck and bring something tasty behind campus dorms. First of all, Miku had no idea what a potluck was. She thought it was some event where you wish luck to a pot. So just in case, she looked it up
"A meal or party to which each of the guests contributes a dish." Miku read out loud to herself. And thus once she did that, she typed in the chat Miku: Oh my! I never did a potlock! What do I bring??
And then, her personal hero, her close friend who she considers a sister, Haruuhi, came to the rescue Haruuhi: Uhm Miku-chan... could you help me with what I need to bring too? Haruuhi: I'm not really good at this kind of thing
So the two girls texted a bit Miku: I'd love to help! Haruuhi: Okay! Let's get together then  Miku: Okay!
After that, Miku went to Haruuhi to help her out with her stuff for the potluck. But before she actually went, Miku took a bag of candy with her. After all, Ericka said something tatsy. Candy is tasty. And with that Miku left to see Haruuhi

Haruuhi had been trying all day to f ind something tasty to bring to the pot luck, and everywhere online she had just found these grandiose recipes that would take her forever to make, and were far too expensive! She really didn't have much money left for the month, so she had to find something simple... What kind of yummy food could she bring? Something that no one else would think of.
She'd spent the better part of an hour at the store looking through different foods and getting frustrated over what she could make. Finally she decided on two things (because she COULDNT decide between them). One was a delicious cheese ball she had once from this store accompanied by a random box of crackers, and the other thing she had found while picking up said crackers. Pocky sticks! Those were a perfect treat for any occasion, and cheap too!
When she had gotten back to her dorm room, she struggled to put everything together in a fancy display... but eventually managed to have the crackers circling the cheese ball thanks to Miku's help, and the pocky standing up straight in a cup! Because that was the best Haruuhi could think of.
"Thanks for your help Miku... I feel like this is going to be the worst contribution ever..." She grumbled about her dish, walking out of her dorm with Miku by her side, heading towards the Common Area now. She would set her dish alongside any other food that was already set up, glancing around a little nervously as there was a student she wasn't particularly familiar with... but at least Ericka was here as well, and that helped put her a bit more at is.
"Ericka-san! Thanks again for coming by to visit me." She said as she offered her a smile and a polite bow of her head towards the other girl.

Demon Machine i no longer fear ending my hell A potluck was unusual for Nyke. The idea of cooking outdoors and having everyone bring their own dish wasn't something Nyke ever really experienced. All her meals were cooked for her by a team of chefs hired by her father. She had never really made anything herself and food for a cookout wasn' something she thought about before. What did people eat in this type of setting? That was the question she asked her cook. In her father's Japanese home, they had one skilled cook come to the country with them to prepare food for Nyke when she wasn't at school. It was a pretty cushy job that only needed that person to work a few hours a week. And yet, Her father spared no expense to make sure his daughter was comfortable. Additionally, because of Nyke's special needs when it came to her diet, it was important for her to have someone that could make a dish to fulfill her nutritional needs. As for the coo, they were very excited when Nyke asked them what to do. While many people hated being involved in their jobs when they weren't working, Nyke's cook was happy to help her. Seeing the young girl grow on her own was a special thing even if they weren't being paid as much as they were. So before Nyke came back to the campus, she was invited to watch how her cook made the food she was going to bring. And what was that? Burgers! It was pretty common for cookouts to have burgers of some kind and they were actually really easy to make. However, the cook's prie wouldn't let them make just any old burgers. They were going to be the best she could make. So Nyke watched with a bit of curiosity as the cook not only showed her how to make burgers but made many different kinds. She had some made from American beef, as well as Japanese's famed Kobe Beef. There were also burgers made from chuck, brisket, wagyu, and sirloin beef. All different cuts from different cows. They were ground, packed, seasoned, and neatly placed into a cooler for Nyke to bring to her class cookout. And the buns were neatly packed on top of them, separated by wax paper. As Nyke sat in the back of the car, she held the cooler in her lap and both her arms wrapped around it as if she was holding a precious doll. She was short enough that her chin rested on the top of the cooler. She didn't know what to make of it all, but she hoped her classmates liked what she brought. To be honest, she was a bit nervous. She didn't know if any of the students knew what kind of family status she came from, so maybe it was a bit much to bring hand ground high-quality beef to be grilled into burgers. "Thank you."Nyke gave her gratitude very quickly to her cook who drove her back to campus. It was easy to tell that the woman really enjoyed doing it and with a kind wave, Nyke was off. She made her way to the dormitories, still holding the cooler the same way she was while she was int he car. ANd as she approached the spot that everyone was to meet up, she saw four of her classmates already there. She silently walked toward the grill and to Ericka and Tetsuko. She placed it on the ground, taking care to not let it drop before looking up to the two girls. "Burgers."The small girl wore a sleeveless dress. It was denim with a wide white cloth along the hem. Along with it were thigh high socks and gloves that came up to her biceps to complement what she was wearing. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ

You leave me here wondering if I'll ever know How much you care, or how much you don't If you're going to be somebody's last time, baby be mine. “ The idea of a potluck was really cool for Kyla. The only time she had ever gone to one was with her parents and they were usually the ones that made something to bring. This was going to be Kyla's first time doing one by herself. That meant she had to make something for everyone else to eat. Kyla's knowledge of cooking was pretty limited. She picked up a few things here and there from both of her parents, but she never really got real lessons in making something to eat. She also had to make something that others would like, so that was going to be difficult too. Luckily for her, the internet existed. She literally had an endless number of recipes and instructions at her fingertips to use and decide on something to bring. She was going to go for something really simple. Something that didn't require too much cooking or would be dangerous to others if not cooked properly. And since the cookouts she remembered back home were filled with all kinds of junk and meat, she wanted to get something healthier for everyone to enjoy. The obvious answer to her was fruit. A fruit salad was really simple and hard to mess up. The fruit was also sweet and most people liked them compared to something like vegetables. All she really had to do was cut them up and made sure the stuff stayed cool throughout the day. To keep things from getting too messy, Kyla decided against adding any kind of liquid or syrup to the mix. It would be a lot easier to just have fruits people could serve without dipping stuff everywhere. Nice and easy clean up. The fruits she added was going to be the most important thing. Green apples, grapes, mango, cantaloupe, and honeydew melon were her first choices. She also made sure to add in some pineapples and strawberries to the mix for a nice colorful display. They were all mixed together in a bowl with a serving fork for people to scoop out what they wanted. But she couldn't take this out that way. Two important things had to be added to the mix to keep it from going back in the middle of the event. Some plastic wrap to stretch over the two to keep bugs and flies out of the fruit salad and a container of ice to set the bowl in and keep the fruit cool for the day. In the end, the bowl of fruit salad turned out to be pretty heavy. She needed to take her time to bring it to the designated spot for everyone to enjoy. But once she got there, Kyla was happy to see some of her classmates already arrived and with different kinds of food being set. Of course, her excitement couldn't be seen as Kyla's face was expressionless. No matter how much she tried, a smile or show of joy was difficult for her to communicate. Even though she was feeling those things, she couldn't show them without saying so. So what Kyla usually did was say what she was feeling so that it wouldn't be so awkward around her. "I'm excited to be here with you all." She called out as she approached the table with the rest of the food on it. She set down the container of ice the fruit salad bowl was in with a heavy thump. The girl took a moment to shakes her arms and hands a bit after the strain of carrying the stuff for so long but was fine after a few seconds. SHe looked over to Miku and Haruuhi and made her way over to them. "Hey! Glad you both came." She said, remembering their early exit the last time the class met up. ”

these rapid eyes will keep on moving Lani was all about get-togethers. She wanted her class to be the best heroes out there and learning to do that together was important to her. With the kind of villains that existed out in the world, they were all really going to need each other to act as an impenetrable wall between those that would do wrong and the general populace that just wanted to live their lives. Sure, a cookout and some food wasn't an obvious step in that direction, but getting to know each other was important. As for the potluck, Lani wasn't really a cook. She knew a thing or two from when she was hunger and her mother decided to punish her by not giving her dinner. So Lani had to scramble things together in her own way when what she could find in the kitchen while her mother was preoccupied. Most of what she knew how to make was really simple stuff that didn't even taste that great. She wasn't going to subject her class to that. Instead, she would bring something that everyone could enjoy. Water to wash down what they were going to eat. She approached the spot the cookout was taking place dragging a cooler of water on wheels. It was pretty big since she tried to pack as many refreshments and drinks into the cooler as possible. There was enough in there for everyone to have at least two or three things to drink. It wasn't just water either. While that was what the majority of it was, there was also a variety of sodas inside for those that wanted something sweeter or bubbly. She dragged the cooler next to the table where the food was to be presented and looked over what was already there. It had some nice stuff and Lani was happy to see that everyone brought something different. A few key things were still missing, but Lani was fine with what was there. She even went as far as to pick up a stick of pocky and toss the end of it into her mouth. "Sup my class!" She yelled out as a greeting to everyone that was there. Lani was a loud one. She was used to speaking over others and making her voice loud and clear. Some could see it as obnoxious, but Lani was just a confident person. Even the way she dressed proved that. For the cookout, she had come in what was essentially a swimsuit top and short denim shorts. Lani even wore a straw hat to complete the outfit, though she had it slanted toward her back so she could have the sunlight on her face. She didn't know if the class was used to her very showy style of dress by now, but that was just how Lani was. She liked the light on her skin and she loved the summer time. She couldn't bundle herself up at a time like this. The tall girl made her way over to the grill as she sucked the chocolate off the edible stick of pocky in her mouth. "Who's grillin'?" She asked as she peeked over at the cooler that Nyke brought with her. Provided Ericka and Tetsuko could get the grill started, Lani would volunteer to do it if no one else was. She couldn't do much, but grilling was pretty easy. 562 | @tagged | notes ulla

Ericka smiled as the other students started to arrive. She hurried her pace in trying to get the grill started, but was relieved when another student had come to help her out. "Oh, thank you." She replied with a smile. With a bit of adjusting of the coals and a few more clicks, the grill was lit and they were able to get a flame started. Ericka clapped her hands together and nodded to Tetsuko. "There we go! And no problem. I hope you are adjusting well to the class." The girl was one of the newer students. And while they were still pretty close to the beginning of the school year, people were starting to get more comfortable with each other. Ericka hoped, like with many of the new students, that they adjusted into the class dynamic. They had a plethora of personalities and some were harder to get used to than others. "I hope you enjoy your time in 1-B with us. I have a surprise for you all." It was easy to tell by Ericka's tone that she was excited. She was even speaking a bit faster than she needed to. It was hard to contain her plans, but she wanted to properly announce it once a few people arrived and were relaxing.
Following her was Miku and Haruuhi. The two had come together and Haruuhi was actually the inspiration for this whole event. Recent happenings had encouraged Ericka to get her plans started and Haruuhi had already designed two of them. She was a kind and diligent vice president, so Ericka was happy the girl was still with them. Likewise, Miku was there when this was all decided. The day in the hospital was a warm and encouraging one for sure. "It's no problem. I need my second-in-command with me." Ericka said with a smile. Provided the girl let her, Ericka would pat her on the head. She was so sweet.
Next up was Nyke, who had come in silently and dropped a cooler near the grill. Before Ericka could even ask what they were Nyke answered the question by telling her that they were burgers. Seemed like the grill was lit just in time. She just needed someone to grill the burgers up and some of the food could be made right away. Between that Nyke and Tetsuko brought, they were already going to be eating very well. Little did Ericka know that there was some truly quality stuff in there.
The last two that came in were Kyla and Lani. Kyla had a bowl of fruit in ice while Lani brought a cooler filled with drinks. A side dish and refreshments were always welcome and Ericka was glad to see the potluck coming together. This was going to be great! She turned to Lani when she was asked about who was going to grill. "Nice hat! And anyone is welcome to." Truthfully, Ericka didn't think that far ahead. She just wanted to get the thing lighted so that if anyone wanted to, they could. Anybody was free to volunteer and take a turn cooking up food for the others to eat. "I'll get the table organized. But I have a sweet announcement for you all." She said to those around her. And with that, Ericka moved over to the table with the food on it to get it organized in such a way that the class could move down the table as a line to pick out the things they wanted. As for the things that needed to be grilled, she moved those to the edge of the table closest to the grill itself so that it would be within reach of whoever decided to grill.

Post by Tetsuko Shindou on Aug 22, 2018 7:52:22 GMT -4
It took a few goes, but eventually, Tetsuko and Ericka managed to get the flame started, the cooking ready to begin. Tetsuko stood up, dusting off her hands and picking up her foodstuffs while the class president inquired about how she'd been adjusting. That simple concern painted a smile onto Tetsuko's expression, her class really was so kind and considerate, seeing as that was hardly the first time she'd been asked such a question. "I'm doing just fine, Ericka-san. The class has been great so far." Tetsuko said reassuringly. Although she was one of the newer students, Tetsuko Shindou was still rather pleased to be in 1-B, at least, given what she had heard and experienced of the other classes. It seemed from the information that 1-B was a bit more... Drama-free... Compared to 1-A and 1-C. Sure, she doubted everyone got along super well, but it seemed like no one in 1-B was particularly mean-spirited or abrasive, at most just being... Quiet. So when Ericka said she hoped Tetsuko enjoyed her time with 1-B, it was pretty much a given. But the surprise... "Oh? I guess I'll look forward to it." Tetsuko said bemusedly, seeing how excited Ericka was for this surprise of hers. The swordswoman was, naturally, curious herself about what the class president had planned, and could only assume it was something that would be equally exciting for the rest of the class.
Next to arrive after Tetsuko was Miku and Haruuhi. The former, the Shindou girl had befriended already during a chance encounter, but the latter Tetsuko had unfortunately yet to meet proper, though this would hopefully rectify that. Tetsuko continued to hang around the grill, waving to the girls lightly as they came in. "Welcome to the party, Miku-san, Haruuhi-san." She said with a casual smile, before tending to her things and placing them over on the table for when everyone had arrived and she was ready to start grilling. Tetsuko noticed Ericka's own little greeting to Haruuhi, even patting her on the head. Ericka really was the big sister of their class, wasn't she?
Nyke turned up, a girl who Tetsuko was somewhat curious about. She seemed to be, put simply, rather reserved. But it was hard to tell if this was some kind of asocial nature or simple shyness. Tetsuko supposed that if it were the former, Nyke wouldn't have turned up in the first place. The girl quite simply stated what she had brought, and although she didn't offer much, Tetsuko did take the chance to converse with the girl. "Burgers, huh? Seems like we've got meat covered then, thanks Nyke-san." Tetsuko would say amiably, curious yet cautious around the reserved girl.
Kyla managed to bring the potluck's health standards back up to par with her inclusion of fruit. Tetsuko would wave to the girl as the swordswoman continued to linger around the grill, wanting to make sure she knew who else was grilling before she started herself, lest she end up using too much space. Last to arrive was Lani, bringing in the final piece to cover all their bases: Drinks. Lani was a pretty loud one, and not just vocally, but also with how she dressed... Tetsuko couldn't deny being a bit taken aback by Lani seemingly having turned up in her swimwear, to think she could just wear that out wherever... The girl certainly had confidence!
Lani inquired as to who would be grilling, Tetsuko raising her hand as she answered after Ericka. "I think Nyke-san and myself are the only ones who brought stuff to grill, we've got yakisoba and burgers if anyone wanted to help out!" She declared, secretly hoping someone would take her up on that offer. At that point Tetsuko wasn't particularly confident in her cooking abilities! Ericka started handling the table, further teasing that big announcement of hers. With everyone who was coming seemingly gathered, Tetsuko decided to get started grilling, grabbing the ingredients she'd brought and preparing to put them on the grill. Once they were all on, it was just a matter of throwing on the noodles and yakisoba sauce, cutting them up and mixing it like a sitr fry! If anyone offered to help Tetsuko at this point, she certainly wouldn't deny it.

Kyla made her way to Miku and Haruuhi, she was glad the two made it to the potluck. "Me too! I'm glad we made it!" Miku said happily to Kyla and then asked her "So... um, what did you bring to this potluck?" She was a bit embarassed she only brought candy, but she wanted to see what others brought as well
Then after talking with Kyla. Miku saw that Ericka greeted her 2nd in command. Miku smiled as she remembered how motivating she was in the hospital. She really helped Haruuhi, heck, she even helped Miku when she was too shy to approach Haruuhi in the hospital. Ericka was a truly great leader. Miku felt bad she didnt vote for her as class prez, but she felt those votes were so early. She didnt even know everyone yet. Such a shame.
Soon after Tetsuko greeted the two "Hello Tetsuko! How are you?" Miku asked the girl. She hoped they'd both relax and have a better time together, since they dont have to deal with anymore drugs or drug induced people. A nice and calming activity like a potluck was nice. Even though, this was Miku's first time doing it. Thats why she mostly stood by Haruuhi

Masaki read something on the Yūei chat about a potluck with the rest of class 1-B. Normally, he was too distracted by his books to even use the chat and missed almost everything happening with everyone else, but quickly browsing through the recent history revealed this gathering to him. He was just in time, otherwise he would have missed the invaluable opportunity to evaluate meet the rest of his peers. While Masaki was generally described as a ‘good boy’, he wasn’t a very social one – so, when presented with the opportunity to network and otherwise branch out, he felt the need to seize it.
He spent what felt like days, researching what to bring – hoping that he would not be making a fool of himself by accidentally overlapping with someone else. Literal hours were spent trying to figure out what he could make or bring, and resources weren’t too big of an issue for Masaki. So of course, what he was bringing was pre-made. Masaki couldn’t cook after all and he honestly didn’t want to burden anyone else.
Cannoli’s Masaki thought, sticking with delectable treats. There was a sizable variety of flavors; mint chip, chocolate chip, and espresso included. Surely, everyone else was bringing some important part of the meal and his may have been the weakest thing to bring – but he hadn’t known anyone that didn’t like dessert. Besides these were made and imported directly from an Italian bakery with the help of his family.
Masaki arrived at the designated location, with two recently refrigerated boxes in hand. Adorning a loose and lightweight, blue button up shirt, he also wore a simple pair of beige shorts and sandals. It felt appropriate for the situation. He looked around, it seemed a handful of people had already arrived and with that, he exhaled in preparation for introductions. He put on a smile and motioned over while he did his usual examination of the area and its people.
With a pause, Masaki blinked once. He moved to the next person and blinked again. Then to the next and the next, until he counted six people. He blushed a light shade of red, feeling the heat from the blood rushing to his face. Turning his head, he did his best to mask his embarrassment. His usual composure was gone, not so unlike his smile and optimism.
Am I supposed to be here? Is this the right place? Is this all of 1-B? Masaki’s mind raced, recognizing that everyone present was a lady aside from himself.
He recognized one face, Miku’s. At this point Masaki was pretty sure everyone had befriended or at least was acquainted with her. While he was comfortable with her, he was still just a socially awkward teenage boy surrounded by a bunch of teenage girls.
The others were still complete enigmas to him and that was likely the true root of his current issue, so Masaki put on a brave face and sucked it up by announcing who he was. ”Hello everyone.” Masaki greeted, ”I’m Takeuchi Masaki. I’m one of your new classmates. Uh… it’s a pleasure to meet you all.” Masaki gave a bow and rose back up waving to Miku. tag | wc; 532

Demon Machine i no longer fear ending my hell Nyke looked up at Tetsuko and nodded silently. Cooking the burgers was a different task entirely, so Nyke left them to whoever was going to take care of them. She instead looked over at the area they had to sit down. To be honest, Nyke wasn't confident in sitting at any place. Not because she wasn't social, but because they probably wouldn't support her weight. Wood and plastic just didn't cut it for her. There were quite a few hardwoods she could sit on safely, but she doubted the school had anything like that for sitting around the dormitory area. For now, she was just going to stand and hang around her classmates. After her, a number of them showed up and each brought their own thing. Kyla brought a fruit salad. A sweet treat that was also healthy.
It was a good idea to go along with all the other foods and meats they were going to have. Likewise, Lani brought things for them to drink. Washing down everything was going to be important in making sure the day was enjoyable, especially in the heat. Then, one of the newer classmates arrived. A person that Nyke had yet to meet personally. There were quite a few of those types in her class, but that was mostly because Nyke wasn't social. He was a young man, which was becoming increasingly rare in their class. When the school year started, it was basically an all girl's class. And with students in and out of the class, it was hard to keep the ratio even. In the end, however, it worked out since they were all there to be heroes. Nyke silently waved to the boy as he introduced himself. He seemed confident enough to do some and Nyke didn't notice his awkwardness. She wasn't that great at reading other people, so she could only assume that he was just fine with being here. He brought boxes filled with something and she was interested in seeing just what they were. So she walked over to him to bring him to the table where the other food was at.
"What is it?"
She asked her question simply and quickly. Her voice was very soft and light, the exact opposite of her physique. She was a small girl that didn't even hit the five-foot mark, but she was a strong, sturdy, and heavy person. Nyke was a stark contrast all around, but being quiet and stoic was the easiest thing to notice about her. @sugo | 420 words | --- Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ

"Oh uhm, it's just something easy I found on the internet. It's a cheese ball. You spread it over the crackers to eat. It was really the cheapest thing I could think of doing... heh" Haruuhi blushed as she set up her dish and the crackers, still smiling though as the light mood of the room kept her pretty upbeat about everything that had happened. She'd never been able to say that she was surrounded by friends but, ever since coming to U.A she always was, and her friends from the hospital had made that very apparent to her.
"Man everything looks so good... I can't wait..." She said as she actually had to wipe her sleeve against her lips to prevent herself from drooling. The only other time she ever saw this much food in one place was when she was working at the cafe. She could never afford or ever eat a whole feast like this! Turned out some of her classmates were pretty god cooks, bringing quite interesting dishes of their own!
She would turn to all those who had greeted her upon entering, smiling and offering a light wave as she greeted them all in turn, though pausing to look back to Ericka when she addressed her as her second in command. Haruuhi tilted her head at that, having been so wrapped up in her own affairs she had all but neglected her duties here at school! Her face started to turn bright red.
"S...second in command? Oh! Right... I'm so sorry Ericka! I haven't been very useful at all have I!? I promise I will do better from here on out!" She promised, making a bit of a teasing salute towards the other girl and chuckling lightly.

What a great way to get reacquainted with his class. A pot luck. Bring your own food dish. He was bringing something odd, a kloache of solid metal that covered a platter filled to the brim with macaroons, the little snack sandwiches for those with a sweet tooth.
He wasn't really dressed up in school clothing or anything like that, he was wearing his hoodie of all things together, keeping the hood pulled up and part of his shaggy blonde hair sticking out of the front of it. It had been quite a while since he had been back to classes, having taken a leave of absence without asking. But, he had a reason for it. He just wanted to see his class again.
He never wanted to be a teacher originally, but the time he spent with his class was enough to get him hooked on it. The bright faces, the wonderful personalities, and helping people with their problems? What wasn't to love about that.
At the meeting, Arata would announce himself in a grand fashion by using his quirk to bring the platter over to the main table, approaching after he set the platter down with those ghostly projected hands from his knuckles.
"Hey everyone! Been a while. Hope you don't mind me crashing the party." Arata smiled, letting the one of the hands of his quirk lift the lid off of his dish, showing everyone those hand made macaroons that they could grab. There were pistachio, raspberry, lemon, chocolate, and orange macaroons.
"Did anyone miss me?"

You leave me here wondering if I'll ever know How much you care, or how much you don't If you're going to be somebody's last time, baby be mine. “ Kyla motioned over to her bowl of fruit as Miku asked what was brought. It wasn't as personalized or exciting as the other things, but a good balance was important too. And the idea of combing the fruit with the other things was just as good. Pocky was a tasty snack and so was fruit, but how about pocky stuck through the fruit? The idea was interesting to Kyla and it seemed like some sweet tasty combination that could only be done thanks to the efforts of Miku and Haruuhi to bring something that anyone could enjoy. In fact, more desserts made their way to the potluck with the arrival of Masaki and their teacher, Arata. One had cannolis and the other some macaroons. And with the addition of Haruuhi's cheese balls, they had just about all the basics covered. There was plenty to eat and snack on, so Kyla was quite content with the offers that were brought. As for the announcement that was going to be involved with the class, she was waiting for that one with bated breath. For the time being, Kyla made her way over to the teacher and nodded her head. "We've been waiting, sensei." She spoke up in her usual tone. There were plenty of classes to go around, so they were always busy, but Kyla was interested in seeing what the teacher was going to offer them. She sat done at one of the tables to continue speaking with him if he wanted to. "What happened?" She asked, curious about his absence and wanting to make sure everything was okay. She knew that many of the teachers were actual heroes and that it was dangerous work. If a teacher just suddenly disappeared, there was always the worry that they were taken out by some villain or hurt in some way. ”
