ProgressionMartial Arts: Lua Using 100 EXP
Upgrading From: New Ability
Upgrading to: Type: Skill Rank: F Effect: The violet eyed songbird has decided to up her physical capabilities by learning martial arts. Being taught by a Vigilante, she is currently still a beginner in the ways of the so called 'bone breaking technique' known as Lua. Not the most practical type of martial arts that most go to, but she wasn't like everyone else. Her workout sessions in the gym will greatly aid the girl in learning self defense from lifting weights to working her legs and other parts of her body, all things to improve the girl's physical state. She wasn't a bodybuilder by any means, but replacing some of that fat for muscle is something great indeed. Sure it may only be just the basics in martial arts, but you have to start somewhere, right?

ProgressionSongbird - Vocal Mimicry Using 400 EXP
Upgrading From: Type: Emitter
Rank: E
Effect: User can copy the voice of anyone through means of lip contact. The other does not lose their voice, only the user gains the same voice. Chise's lips and the other's lips have to be pressed for a duration of at minimum 2 seconds before she is able to copy their voice. She is able to hold a single copied voice for up to 30 minutes before she is unable to use it anymore. Chise can copy up to 4 different voices besides her own voice. As of now she can only copy human voices and has yet to try it on animals (even those with human like quirks). Chise is not able to speak in the user's native language aside from a langue that she knows already. The voice she copies is spoken in native Japanese, as is her native tongue. Chise does not have to be near the person afterwards to still be able to copy the person's voice whom she made contact with. Her voice copies the person she made lip contact with exactly identical to their own voice. Chise is able to easily switch from one voice to the next but each has a timer. With each voice copied that she is not using, the timer is put on pause until she uses the voice again. Once the timer is up on a voice, besides her own, it will go away and she is reverted back to her own voice until she switches voices again (given that she has another voice saved other than her own).
Drawback: The addition of each added voice causes the time duration for each voice to decrease by 5 minutes. For example if Chise has copied 4 different people's voices, she can only use each voice for about 5 minutes before she is unable to without a second lip contact. If Chise falls asleep and wakes up, she will only be able to use her own voice. The same applies if she is knocked out/passed out.
Upgrading to: Type: Emitter Rank: D Effect: User can copy the voice of anyone through means of lip contact. The other does not lose their voice, only the user gains the same voice. Chise's lips and the other's lips have to be pressed for a duration of at minimum 2 seconds before she is able to copy their voice. She is able to hold a single copied voice for up to 60 minutes before she is unable to use it anymore. Chise can copy up to 8 different voices besides her own voice. As of now she can only copy human voices and has yet to try it on animals (even those with human like quirks). Chise is not able to speak in the user's native language aside from one of the languages that she knows already. The voice she copies is spoken in native Japanese, as is her native tongue. Chise does not have to be near the person afterwards to still be able to copy the person's voice whom she made contact with, unless the limit for their voice is up. She would need to kiss the target to gain their voice once more. Her voice copies the person she made lip contact with exactly identical to their own voice, even down to the minor ticks or cracks in their voice they might have. Chise is able to easily switch from one voice to the next but each has a timer. With each voice copied that she is not using, the timer is put on pause until she uses the voice again. Once the timer is up on a voice, besides her own, it will go away, and she is reverted back to her own voice until she switches voices again (given that she has another voice saved other than her own). As of now, she can only hold voices for the limited time she has depending on how many she has in use, she has not learned yet the ability to retain a person’s voice from memory as if she falls asleep or is knocked unconsciousness, she looses those voices.
Drawback: The addition of each added voice causes the time duration for each voice to decrease by 5 minutes. For example if Chise has copied 4 different people's voices, she can only use each voice for about 40 minutes out of an original 60 minutes for 1 voice copied, before she is unable to without a second lip contact. If Chise falls asleep and wakes up, she will only be able to use her own voice. The same applies if she is knocked out/passed out.

ProgressionMartial Arts: Lua - Medium Using 200 EXP Upgrading From: Type: Skill
Rank: F
Effect: The violet eyed songbird has decided to up her physical capabilities by learning martial arts. Upgrading to: Type: Skill Rank: E Effect: The redhead known as Chise Ishihara has continued practicing her martial arts skills, learning new moves and techniques with each training sessions she has with her Vigilante teacher as he continues training her in the bone breaking technique known as Lua, as well as doing a little research on her own, studying up on different styles of martial arts and combat. Her continuous work at the gym has helped tremendously in toughening her up, slowly but surely toughening her skin as not to be the weak noodle armed girl she was before. She’s not a master quite yet, but she’s learned quite a few moves to be able to defend herself and take her opponent down, more than likely that is. Sure, she may be small in stature, but don’t underestimate the power behind this General Studies Princess.

1.) Spending 2 EP to get the Villain starter pack for Nari Shimizu 2.) ProgressionToughen Up a Bit (Strength Ability) Using 700 EXP to jump to D rank Upgrading From: New Ability
Upgrading to: Type: Ability (Skill) Rank: D Effect: No more marshmallow punches for this redhead! From both her solo workout sessions as well as those she has had with her teacher and fellow sparing partners, Chise had cultivated and grown enough to enhance the strength of her attacks. Though still new to the world of combat, at least her actions will pack quite a punch in defending herself from counterattacks and bettering herself as a hero. Perhaps with the knowledge of new fighting abilities, her strength will get even better in the near future!

ProgressionStrive for More (Stamina) Using 100 EXP Upgrading From: New Ability
Upgrading to: Type: Ability (Enhancement) Rank: F Effect: With all the training Chise's been through, it gets rather tiring. Starting off was especially tough as Chise's stamina was practically nonexistent. Still, it may not be great now but it's a little better than before. She can push herself a bit more than she could previously without getting too tired too quickly. Gotta have high stamina if you want to be a hero!

Finally updating my app after 87 years XD (Spoke with Yumi about updating my quirk to the new format) WIPCHARACTER NAME BASIC INFORMATION Hero/Vigilante/Villain alias: Lyre Player Name: safehavenblue Faceclaim/Series: Original Art Age: 17 Gender: Female Affiliation: Hero (Second Year Student) Height: 1.61m Weight: 67kg Hair/Style: Orangey-red in color. Extremely wavy/curly, major volume although it has a tendency to tangle easily. Skin/Scars: Pale (with red undertones) Eyes: Large, round eyes; Violet with lavender speckles Notables: N/A
APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY Appearance: Chise has Reddish-orange, poofy hair that reaches to about her lower back. It can get tangled easily and she has to take extreme care of it. Her eyes are a mix of both violet and lavender with lighter purple highlights mixed in when the sun is shining on her eyes. Chise's skin is relatively pale just as the average Japanese woman has. Her body is slightly on the chubby side, but she hides this fact up by wearing oversized clothing. She has been working on building some muscle and loosing weight to replace the pudge with muscle and improve her image one step at a time. She is about the average height for a typical Japanese woman. Her breasts are larger than most, this may be due to the foreign side of her DNA with her father being Japanese and her mother being from Ireland. She resembles more of her mother than of her father, getting her red wavy hair and build from her mother.
POSITIVE ✔ Kind ✔ Creative ✔ Organized ✔ Diligent ✔ Determined NEGATIVE ✖ Gullible ✖ Narcoleptic ✖ Bad hold on emotions ✖ Anxious ✖ Overexerts herself LIKES ✔ Sweets (Sweet foods) ✔ Baking ✔ Sheep ✔ Comfy clothes (i.e. oversized sweaters and lounge pants) ✔ Snacks ✔ Stuffed Animals DISLIKES ✖ Cold weather ✖ Spicy foods ✖ Ignorant people ✖ Tangled hair ✖ Insects ✖ Tight clothing
Personality: Chise may appear quiet at first but once she gets to know you she's a bright ball of energy. Even if she doesn't know you, she won't hesitate to make a good first impression and make you feel welcome even if it may be out of her comfort zone. Though some may think she's outgoing, Chise considers herself a bit of an introvert, enjoying time with friends but also enjoying her peace and quiet when she is by herself. She can be a bit clumsy at times and forget to care for herself when she’s busy worrying about others, having to stop and remember to do the most basic of things like eating and making sure she gets enough sleep. She’s book smart but not too keen on street smarts, not quite knowing all there is to life and terminology on the streets. She's a hard worker, taking on many tasks at once and does not quit until are all completed to the best of her ability. She very rarely gets angry and more often than not is seen with a cheery smile on her rosy cheeks. Although she is in her late teens, she acts a bit childish when she is doing things she enjoys such as eating sweets or snuggling with her stuffed animals.
HISTORY Chise was born into an average Japanese family in a middle-class environment. Being the only child in her household made growing up rather lonely but she would always play with the neighborhood kids. Chise noticed her quirk when she was 7 years old when accidentally made lip contact with her friend after she tripped and fell on top of them. There was a bit of panic at first but soon Chise and her friend found her quirk rather hilarious. Chise’s quirk manifested from her mother’s quirk who shares similarities to her own (the only difference being her mother can pick up any language through lip contact whereas Chise can copy voices through lip contact). As Chise grew up, she found the way of activating her quirk quite embarrassing and refrained from doing it often, unless she trusted the person she was showing.
She had always been a studious student, doing her best to excel in her studies since her quirk was not that powerful enough to use in combat. She dreamed of one day becoming a hero that worked behind the scenes, like an undercover spy of sorts. All throughout school she pushed herself to be the leader, wanting to guide her classmates in hopes that she could guide herself as well. In grade school she became the president of her class, wanting to devote her time and effort into doing what she could for her fellow classmates. Because of this, Chise did not have much free time as presidential work took up most of it. Some of the students bullied her because of how her quirk was activated, teasing her and calling her rather derogatory names unfit for middle school Not wanting to bring it up to the teachers and cause any more harm upon herself, she let it go in hopes of it getting better. Somedays when she had to stay behind after school, she would watch the sunset from one of the windows in the hallway, looking down at some of the students showing their quirks off to one another. Chise was rather jealous of how the others could openly share their quirks with one another, using them to bond with one another. Chise decided from this point on that her quirk would not matter to her anymore, she was just like someone who was quirkless from the start. She was done with the bullying, she wanted to live a normal, quiet life where no one knew who she was or what her quirk was. Having a fresh start at a new school where she could hide behind a false identity, one who did not possess a quirk.
She had applied to some of the best non-hero schools in the nation, hoping that with her record, was able to go out and start her journey in making a better name for herself. She did not trust that her quirk would take her anywhere far, so she decided to negate applying to any hero schools in fear of running into any students from her class prior. Sadly, most of the schools Chise had applied to declined her application. Devastated at the fact, Chise hid this information from her parents, afraid they would be angry with her for not getting into any of her chosen schools. She didn’t know it was that difficult to get into a non-heroics-based school one would think it would be easier! The guilt and shame she harbored brought her down to a new low, making the girl not want to leave her room or speak to anyone. This way, she could be alone without having to face the ridicule and comments of those around her. Chise’s parents finally confronted her about her behavior saying it was completely unlike her. They considered getting Chise tested and put on some sort of other medication alongside her narcolepsy medication, but the decision never came as Chise broke down and came clean about what was causing her behavior. Chise’s parents were a little shocked to hear that she was upset about this, not thinking she of all people would get upset over not getting into a non-heroics school. Her parents comforted the distraught teen and told her that everything would be ok and that they would support her with whatever she decided to do. They had secretly applied her to Yuuei, another great school but was a hero centered school and came clean to Chise about what they had done behind her back. They did not want Chise to give up on becoming the hero she wished to be all because her quirk wasn’t powerful. When she found out, she laughed at how ridiculous she was acting, she was glad she could get this pain off her chest and be liberated from her this low she had sunken into. Chise is thankful that her parents never gave up on her and has found a new sense of confidence that she could be a hero with the quirk she was given.
Upon arriving at U.A., Chise has gone through several big changes: living on her own, making new friends, learning new things regarding classwork and herself, even getting a boyfriend! She had kept herself busy with being the support studies class president her first year and helping as the vice president of the cooking club. Aside from school related activities, Chise has been training on and off with the top vigilante, G, in order to better herself as a hero. Between training and schoolwork, Chise rarely finds any time to herself but she likes being busy even if her narcolepsy can get in the way sometimes. Who knows just what this next year will have in store for her!
CHARACTER NAME QUIRK INFORMATION Quirk Songbird Type: Emitter Rank: D Description: The user's quirk has vary similar qualities to that of the lyrebird, being able to create and mimic sounds not it's own and replicate them almost to a tee. The user that posses this quirk is able to mimic anything from another human's voice to that of an inanimate object such as a car horn or static on the television. She is able to copy sounds for 60 minutes from first hearing and coming in contact with the object the sound came from. If the user has not come into contact with the object making the noise, her quirk lasts the same amount of time although the quality of the sound will not be exact as the sound the user is trying to mimic. Contact with the object has to be no less than 3 seconds for an almost perfect mimicry whereas without touching the mimicry is still capable although it will not be as perfect as inaccuracies will be present in the copied sound. The user is not able to speak in the target's native language aside from one of the languages that they knows already. The voice the user copies is spoken in native Japanese or the user's native tongue. The user is able to easily switch from one sound to the next although the clock does not stop for one sound when switching, each still has 60 minutes until it goes away. Once the timer is up on a voice, besides the user's own, the sound will go away, and the user is reverted back to their own voice until they copy the sound again. Chise is able to hold up to a maximum of 10 voices/sounds with her current quirk power. With each sound or voice copied, the internal timer for each is decreased by 5 minutes, meaning that the more sounds she ahs copied, the less time she has to use each.
Benefits:
- Sound memory / Intake - Chise can listen to simple sounds and replicate them from memory, such as specific spoken phrases, or even the beats of a drum, although not as clear as the actual object producing the sound. To get a clearer copy of the sound, Chise needs to make contact with the object as in pressing her hand against a car to better replicate it's horn or touching someone's throat/lips to get a better feel for how their vocal chords are arranged. Her body unconsciously registers how their vocal chords are arranged and is able to produce this sound for a specified period of time. At this time Chise is able to copy 8 different sounds ranging from human speech to inanimate objects for the same length of time for each.
- Sound replication - Without coming nito contact with the source of the sound, the, Chise is still able to use her quirk to mimic a sound but it will be flawed and those listening could pick up on inaccuracies better than if Chise came in contact with the object producing the sound and from there used her quirk.
She can continue to produce a copied sound for a maximum of 60 minutes at her current standing. Once she has copied the sound, the clock will start and 60 minutes from the initial copy the sound will go away until copied again. At this level, she is able to fool voice recognition software on cellular devices and learning some accents and dialects if spoken in a language she knows or is familiar enough with.
- Sound throwing - Chise is able to throw her voice 17 meters from her with the strength of her quirk now. This is in all directions beginning from where Chise is located to an 17 meter distance around her. Depending on if she has touched the source of the sound of not, the accuracy of the sound is varied.
Exhaustion and Weakness: The more sounds Chise copies, the more straining it is on her throat. She needs to stay hydrated or carry some liquid on her at all times in order not to critically damage her throat and vocal chords. Overexertion of her quirk may cause her voice to get hoarse and will take longer to heal depending on how severe they are damaged. Although she is able to copy many voices and sounds almost to a tee, she is still human and possess vocal chords like any other person would. She can use her quirk for up to 5 posts maximum and is decreased with how many sounds she has copied. Chise will need a cooldown of 1-2 posts before she copies another sound or the same sound again. COMBAT ABILITIES Martial Arts: Lua Rank: E Effect: The redhead known as Chise Ishihara has continued practicing her martial arts skills, learning new moves and techniques with each training sessions she has with her Vigilante teacher as he continues training her in the bone breaking technique known as Lua, as well as doing a little research on her own, studying up on different styles of martial arts and combat. Howdy, Haven!
Nice job updating to the new template! However, when it comes to the Quirk rework, it gets a bit tricky. With numbers and percentages like that, I don't really see it fitting in the system all too well! Instead, you can maybe increase the number of voices that Chise can mimic! Just an example!
If you have a question, feel free to message either me or another member of staff on the Discord! Thanks!
