In an effort to get CLass 1-C to bond better, it was time for a class outdoors. While he was mainly the rescue operations instructor, he was in charge of class 1-C until they got a true homeroom teacher. He wanted his class to come together and get to know each other better. They were going to be doing a lot together, so knowing each other and their quirks was an important step in this process. And what better way to do that than to have each person show off their quirks. A quick introduction and demonstration were all that was needed for the class to get a handle on the dynamic they had with each other. What kind of personalities, what kinds of quirks, and what kinds of motivations each student had was an important one. And with that all out in the open, each person was going to know where they stood and maybe even how they got along with each other. He knew that some of his students were already acquainted and even friends. But before too many cliques could form, Cian wanted to get everyone together for what would essentially be the first true class introduction. And naturally, Cian would be first.
"Hello, students. For today's class, we'll be doing something a little more active. The school year started some time ago, but official introductions and meetings weren't a part of it. considering how many students we received after the year started it was only natural to hold off on them until the class became more full. But here we are." He started as he motioned a hand out to the open grass field the class was gathered in. They were all supposed to be wearing their gym uniforms simply because they were going to be more active today than they were if they were sitting in class. "It's really simple, introduce yourself to the class with just your name or preferred nickname. I'd also like a demonstration of your quirk. If you need anything to help you do so, just let me know."
He put his hand down and then held both his hands behind his back. The single eye that could be seen through his metal mask scanned the class as a moment of silence passed. "I'll go first, just as an example. My name is Cian Glave, Glave-sensei to you all. And this is my quirk..." He started. And without movement, the chairs locked to his collar with rusted padlocks started to float in the air. They twirled around his body and moved freely ad if they were his own limbs. It was a simple display, but that was all he wanted from the students. "Please everyone, introduce yourself to the class."

Ah, crap.
They were all in their gym uniforms, so Alex thought that they were doing another exercise and didn’t think too hard about where he physically placed himself. Once it became apparent this was one of those awkward introduce yourself circles he realized very quickly he was literally in the worst possible spot for this sort of thing – the student closest to the teacher. The one everyone would stare at like robots the second the teacher stopped talking and gestured for someone else to go. The ‘someone else’ in that equation.
Going first was awful. He couldn’t just copy what other people did, and if he did too little or too much it would be awkward and embarrassing. Ugh. Whatever, at least Glave-sensei went first and made it short, that meant that Alex could make it short without being called out, right? Well, it was a good theory at least. He’d have to see how well it held up in practice, though.
”Hello everyone.” the boy started after a brief silence after his teacher stopped talking. Might as well get this done quickly. ”My name is Alex and my quirk,” he started as he just started shaping random objects in front of him with the shadows of everyone nearby him. A basketball, a brick, a tent, a few sticks, a tennis ball, the works. ”I make stuff from shadows.” he said simply as he dissipated all of the assorted objects with a flick of his hand and turned his red gaze to the next person in line.
With any luck, that would be that and he could sit back and wait on everyone else to finish their introductions in peace. He’d do his best to memorize everyone’s quirk set to see if he could find any promising combinations for his own. Might as well start nailing those down now and go out of his way to make nice with people he could steamroll through some scenarios with.

Kirk had a proper stance and kept on nodding, as the teacher went on and on about what the days subject was. It was the introduction class, and for someone like him who had just come around, that was exactly the sort of thing he needed! And doing it outside was just all the better! However, it was clear he had some extra energy to use. Instead of just standing still for the whole "lecture", if you could call it that, Kirk proceeded to grab himself from the waist, and actually started squatting, going up and down and up and down. It was a lovely moment for a warm-up. What he could also praise was the gym outfits they were all wearing. It felt really dang comfy and stretchy! It made him almost wanna wear it as casual wear!
However, then the introductions started as he turned his eyes towards the teacher. The quirk he showed was... well, he didn`t really grasp it too well. The chairs on his chains moved? Although, it was really fancy looking at them just spin around in the air like some sort of paranoid ghosts from those shows his grandpa watched late at night. However, in the end, despite the sort of interested look in his eyes, his hand went to his chin. "So its like magic on whatever your chains touch!" He mumbled out loud. Well, that was his assumption. It did remind him of some magician with invisible ropes, yet this time the ropes were clearly visible.
Then came the turn of the student next to him. He nodded, as if memorizing the guys name. He glared at him for a tiny while actually, curious as to what his ability was, only to look down a moment later... "Whoa, Dude!" He had seemingly made a basketball shape out of Kirks shadow! Kirk actually squatted and tried to reach out for it, as he tried slapping it against the ground to see if it bounced, only for it to dissipate into the air. With a minor frown, he stood back up, as he smiled in his direction. "That is REAL neat, man!" Man, if only he himself could make his own sports equipment...
Then there was momentary silence, as Kirk realized it was his turn... "Oh! THE NAME IS KIRK BLUSTER, DUDES AND DUDETTES!" That was the easy part done... He patted on the back of his shirt. The quirks he had seen were pretty cool but... maybe they weren`t THAT cool? Maybe his could stand up to them as well as any other. "Gimme a sec..." He started lifting his gymsuit outfits shirt up, until it was about over his shoulders. Then, a little flap started emerging from his back, as it expanded outwards, getting farther and wider as it went... until there was seemingly a giant sail on his back. Although even a little bit closer inspection showed it being more like a big sack stuck on his back, with a shadow covering the inner part. There was seemingly a lone cap inside. "I can uh... shove things into it and..." His eyebrows lowered a bit, as the sack started wiggling and making wavy motions before it closed itself back up. "That is about it for now... I can move it about and carry a lot more items at once because of it." There was clear worry in his eyes. As if waiting for a reaction from his fellow students. What would they say?

Post by Naoru Kehai on Aug 4, 2018 13:43:38 GMT -4
Sometimes the only pay-off for having any faith Is when it's tested again and again everyday I'm still comparing your past to my future It might be your wound but they're my sutures Somewhere in the back of his mind, Naoru knew this day would come sooner or later. As their class was slow to fill up over the start of the school year, he could avoid the official class introduction that was so common to happen at a new year’s start. He thought that they safely skipped it, and formal introductions won’t be necessary, but fate proved that he could not be more wrong. The dreadful day to formally introduce himself in front of the whole class had come, and he was fidgeting in place, looking as pale and anxious as ever. Wearing the school’s gym uniform like everyone else, he was barely different from his classmates if one didn’t consider the white hair and the mark over the left side of his face. And the gloves, of course. Those must have been a weird sight. He wore the usual full-arm glove on his left arm, and a normal one on his right hand as usual. They were mostly there to avoid accidental skin-to-skin contact with other people, but he was also purposefully hiding away his mutated left arm from view. No matter what others said, he was still not comfortable enough to show that arm in public so easily. As he stood there, waiting, he was reassured to see the teacher start the introduction, which seemed short and easy enough. He was idly wondering if he will be able to do it, but as he looked from one of his classmates to the other, he realized that most of them already knew who he was, and how he operated normally. That... was actually calming. It lowered the number of unfamiliar presences around, and eased his nerves. While he already knew their teacher, he couldn’t quite grasp what his quirk might have been. Seeing a short demonstration in action, Naoru first assumed that the quirk must have something to do with either metal manipulation, or specifically something going on with the chains themselves. It was useless to theorize from such little he saw, and it was all over before he could think more of it anyway. Deraine-kun was someone he knew from classes and other gatherings, and although he could get a grasp of his surface personality, he barely knew anything about his quirk. Seeing him manipulate the shadows was rather fascinating, especially since Naoru was always operating with an equally intangible source from the other side of the spectrum. It seemed like Alex had a good control of his quirk, and appeared rather versatile. Bluster-kun, on the other hand, was someone he had yet to meet. The intensity he radiated was enough to make Naoru reel back with his thoughts and rethink if it was okay to introduce himself in front of his class. He was not able to make such an impression as this person. He seemed incredibly outgoing and energetic, and his whole demeanor screamed that he was happy to attend this school. His quirk came that much more as a surprise, but Naoru’s eyes blew wide with wonder, and his mind was already filtering him with the possibilities of such an ability. Mutations were a wonder in themselves, and Kirk’s quirk had the same assumed versatility as Alex himself, even if the possibility was hidden as of yet. As the jock’s mood seemingly shifted, Naoru, who was quietly watching the demonstrations so far, couldn’t help but speak up. “That quirk will come in handy when you are a hero.” He didn’t even notice he was saying that out loud, but when he realized that he actually spoke, he got even paler, if possible. That was when he also got aware of the fact that the turn to introduce himself came. While it seemed easy and simple, it was anything but that for someone who preferred to stand in the background. Still, it was inevitable, and the more time he spent shuffling on his feet, picking the edges of his gloves, and counting the seconds in hopes that someone else will take their turn, the more embarrassing this whole situation was becoming. So with a big sigh and hunched shoulders, he steeled himself for the inevitable. “It is nice to meet with you all. I am Naoru Kehai.” Thank heaven his voice was actually much steadier than how he felt, but he probably still looked like a nervous wreck, and the worst was just coming. As soon as he started talking, he pushed his anxiety to the back of his mind to let his nerves, his Aura to wash through him and push itself through his skin. “And my quirk is...” The white substance was gathering around his upper torso and arms, and settled around himself as if he just dressed up in an ethereal coat, a forever moving shroud. His left arm, in turn, changed into the shape of claws, slightly bigger than his normal hand, made of the same substance as his quirk. “I can control my Aura.” His posture changed, he straightened his back, and even though he was not willing to look in the eyes of anyone present, he at least stopped with the compulsory movements. He didn’t feel like talking anymore of himself, or detailing what he could do, but his Aura stayed around his body, as if that was the most natural thing for him. It was definitely more comfortable, than keeping it under his skin. He would wait for the rest of his classmates to introduce themselves, with curiosity sparkling in him. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Post by Akio Hirotaka on Aug 4, 2018 14:28:59 GMT -4
When the class teacher told them they were having class outside, Akio thought it might be some kind of combat or rescue training, but it was only class introductions. He, along with everyone else was wearing the school's gym uniform, and clipped to his hip was an extendable baton, a weapon that he decided to start using considering he had very little combat experience. Glave-sensei said his brief introduction and demonstrated his quirk, which looked to be chain manipulation That's a pretty cool quirk, he could use that quirk to restrain criminals as well as use it to attack, very useful indeed Akio thought to himself as the first student started to introduce themselves, who ended up being Alex. His quirk seemed to be the ability to make shadow constructs Another useful and very versatile quirk, being able to create things for almost any situation Akio thought to himself as he turned to the next person, who was the very loud, but very passionate Kirk Bluster, who seemed to have a built in pouch Also very useful, being able to store items to use anytime he needs them, the best use might be using that to store weapons to use? Akio pondered to himself. The next student up was Naoru He really looks like he doesn't want to do this Akio thought to himself, but it seems he spoke too soon as Naoru began his quirk demonstration, which seemed to be some kind of manipulation of something he called aura I can't say much on this because I don't know what the potential of the quirk is, but it seems like a cool and useful quirk Akio thought to himself as he realised it was his turn to introduce himself.
"I'm Akio Hirotaka, my quirk isn't as flashy as these other quirks have been and I will need something to demonstrate, a water bottle will probably work best for visual purposes," Akio said as he grabbed a plastic water bottle that was handed to him and held it in his hands. Slowly the water started to form into ice "So I can control the temperature of objects or surfaces that I'm touching," Akio explained as he started to melt the ice in the bottle until it returned to it's liquid state "I'm looking forward to working with everyone," he said as he flashed the rest of the class a smile

Post by Yumi Tasukai on Aug 4, 2018 16:20:46 GMT -4
Yumi had quickly grasped this class was meant to introduce everyone to eachother, especially the new students, and she was quickly ashamed of herself for not taking the chance to go first. She had the confidence to but she'd been so enthralled by the teacher's own quirk that she'd missed her opportunity to put herself forward before the other students did, and even then each of them were enthralling enough to make her stagger until the next student after. A quirk to make anything from the absence of light? A quirk that made his body act like some makeshift backpack? A quirk to control AURA!? Yumi's mind was racing with ideas of how to use these. Kirk's didn't seem too initially impressive compared to the others, but it could act as a makeshift carry device for a rescue hero! She didn't know if he could absorb items he was carrying into his body, but if he just made a long sheet of skin, he could put injured civilians in it and carry them to safety with ease!
Thankfully the next student gave her something of a prompt to get her own foot in the door. Asking for a water bottle, she smiled and put herself forward, offering a bright smile to her fellow student and handing over her own bottle without hesitation. "Here, you can use mine.~" Watching him use the bottle, she was just as amazed as the others. His power briefly made her think of Maxi from class 1-A, a good friend of hers, but as he went on to heat the bottle, it was like....sacrificing range for versatility! Taking her bottle back (likely returned to a cool temperature for her, she nodded her head and spoke aloud to catch some attention and, as she was hoping to, put her foot in the door of this little meet and greet event between the class.
"Well all your quirks so far seemed fantastic! So versatile too. I'm afraid mine might dissapoint..." Smiling all the same, she skipped to the front of where the class was gathering and quickly turned on her heels. She'd been wearing her Gym uniform's top unzipped so her sports bra was on display. As she turned to face her class, she had one hand behind her back holding the bottle, and the other playfully saluting as she struck a silly pose. "Some of you already know me, but I'm class president of 1 C Yumi Tasukai! If you need anything, you can come to me!~ I'm not too strict with stuff, so long as we all learn and improve here I think I'm doing my job well enough!~"
"As for my quirk..." Pulling her bottle back infront of her she tossed it to one of the other students and suddenly started jogging away, dropping her jacket as she did, and hopping on one foot as she started removing her gym pants, leaving her in some insulated spats she wore beneath them, not at all lewd but some students may have been caught off guard. When she was sure she was far enough away, she cupped her mouth and shouted. "AND I CAN DO THIS!"
Lurching forward and clenching her firsts, Yumi's whole body was coated in a layer of blue neon like substance as sparks fired off in all directions, singing the grass into deep black streeks arcing away from her body, her ponytail whipping left and right above her like a live wire in a cartoon. She held it for a few seconds before lifting herself back up and taking a deep breath, her body un-harmed, but the edges of her bra and spats glowing briefly red as they'd been put very close to their ignition point.
"I can erm...OH!" Remembering how far she was from the group, she started to jog back over, picking the clothes she'd ditched on the way and slinging them over her arm, addressing the class from the front again. "I can generate huge amounts of electricity, but I have almost no control over direction. I can't do much hero stuff without my suit, so I'm really thankful to the school for helping develop it with me!~ Hopefully I can control it more one day, but for now I think its best we move on to another student!~" Yumi would move back into the main group as she put her clothes back on, holding out her hands to get her water bottle back off whoever caught it.

i wonder how many wishes a star can give As grateful as he was to help pioneer the great Yueii experiment, it was a shame this school still had to fulfill its basic academic duties. Students needed to be held to the same educational standards as the rest of the nation, no questions about that, but literature and physics courses weighed so heavily on top of the hero curriculum. He struggled to stay afloat in a sea of endless responsibilities, especially after transitioning from an underfunded school district with fewer resources. So his heart leapt with joy at the mention of a low-stakes, icebreaker day. Patches of sun struck their standing circle from the cracks in the clouds soaring above. A light breeze swept across the field, bowing the grass in waves until it fluttered through their blue and white tracksuits. Kutsu brought his fingers over his head to readjust the pins holding back his mop of hair. He kept a steady bounce on his feet while he eagerly anticipated the round of demonstrations from those around him. They didn't have many opportunities to deeply examine each other's powers, and after getting a glimpse from previous training sessions, he could hardly wait to witness the real deal. When they were fully assembled and settled, their teacher provided the first example of how to introduce their abilities. The boy's jaw dropped at the sight of those chains slicing the air like metal tentacles. His imagination took him to scenes of criminals being apprehended all at once, the chain manipulator standing central and triumphant. So this was what professionals were capable of doing. His intro was brief, as was the next act. He offered a polite applause to Alex for being the first among the students to step up. A wide grin adorned his face as his classmate fashioned assorted knick-knacks from regions where light didn't reach. Adaptable and low barrier to activation. The boy felt twinge of envy knowing such a skill allowed the wielder to respond to danger at the drop of a hat. But before he could dwell on the issue for too long, the next introduction was already blaring in his ears. Kutsu flinched at the raucous volume Kirk adopted. Of all his classmates, he knew the least about this one, so he became thoroughly confused when the other boy started to undress. A quiet gasp broke past his lips. This was a mutation unlike any he's seen in the past, and before he could stop himself, he suddenly blurted out an equally boisterous, "You could put so many stuffed animals in there!" Cue a quick slap over the mouth as he clumsily backpedaled. "Or anything, really, not just toys. It's just—ah, I'll show you later."Hopefully some students could see where he was coming from. Bluster's impressive storage capacity would be an incredible help, since his own major limitation was having access to plushies that could fight alongside him. Unfortunately, without that crucial piece of information, his outburst must've sounded horrifically irrelevant to those who'd yet to learn about his quirk. Exhibiting his powers might've smoothened his recovery, but next in line stood two others, stretching out the awkward delay between mess and cleanup. A hearty round of applause for Naoru from the blue-haired student. After crossing paths with the boy several times already, he sensed his hesitation to draw everyone's attention, and Kutsu appreciated his willingness to go through the introduction. "You're so cool, Naoru!" he cheered in support, fists balled in the air with enthusiasm. This was his first example of his friend's full abilities, and it was more powerful than he originally took it for. Then came Akio's turn. To tell the truth, he saw him frequently in homeroom yet hardly interacted with him in class. Guilt arose, but the boy had to force himself to remember this was the point of today's lesson, to get closer everyone. So when the one speaking requested water, Kutsu didn't hesitate to offer the spray bottle he had strapped to his side, but their class representative was faster. He watched in awe as the water solidified and thawed in a matter of seconds. This guy could fry an egg with his bare skin. But when it came to frying, Yumi had them all beat. He laughed at her boundless energy and fumbled to catch the water bottle that arced over the circle and into his hands. Eyes averted as her gym uniform fell to the ground, he was glad to be facing away when the girl erupted into a ball of blinding sparks. "Nice job!" he praised, giving her back the water upon her return. Kutsu swept his gaze across the familiar and unfamiliar faces. "My name's Kutsushita Ito," he began. He wore a cheery expression as he gently unhooked a spray bottle strapped to his waist, grasping it gingerly with careful fingers. The mirroring set reached into his front pocket and unveiled three hand-sized teddy bears, stitched with love and affection. "And I can do this!"Up flew the three plush toys, lobbed high above their heads with all his strength. As they crested their trajectory, he whipped out the bottle containing his tears and pointed the nozzle toward his stuffed animals, pulling the trigger in rapidfire succession. The droplets billowed into a wide mist, and when the bears plunged back to the earth, they fell through his makeshift cloud of tears. For a moment, the trio lay dormant on the grass at the center of the class gathering spot. Then, in an instant, the stuffed animals hopped onto their paws and started to frolic around. One started to climb Naoru's leg. Another ran in circles around Kirk. The last one grabbed hold of one of the instructor's chains and tried, without success, to pull him away. "I usually make them all myself," he continued. "But my quirk works with anything sewn together." He knew he should reel his little creations back in, but watching them play with his classmates was too precious.

It was all a large pile of nuisance, it didn't help by the fact she was already drowsy from lack of sleep, but also having to listen to every single word from all the overly active individuals could easily get to her. Risaka didn't want to give the wrong impression of course, she was here to learn, but little did she know that it was a mere introduction hour, she regretted the decision to visit it, but perhaps learning one or two things about the classmates could suffice her span of knowledge, she was afterall the kind of girl to rely on information.
If there weren't promising looking students among the group she could've just fallen asleep just go get back a few hours missing, but seeing Glave giving that small glimpse of his Quirk sparked interested in her pale gray pair of iris. One after another she didn't bother too much to look, she already knew Alex and his versatile shadow manipulation, but the rest, she was a complete stranger to them, for a good reason too since she was the kind of student to avoid most interactions as possible, specially loudmouths as the Bluster guy. With all these thoughts in her head she firmly noted the important facts, such as the so called Class President having to get into far distance to present her Quirk, such an sudden intense spark of electricity, an element hard to control but most definitely destructive. And that dollmaker or some sort kind of guy... alot of interesting stuff can be done with that Quirk, although she did not appreciate when one of the small creations of his almost latched at her leg, swiftly moving it away from the bear.
Risaka had both of her arms crossed, knowing she was next to be picked she was ready to get an decent amount of stares at her when she was dodging the small teddybear. Keeping her composure intact she lifted her face up a bit to stare back at the rest, she didn't exactly wanna start off with words, they wanted to know her Quirk, and so they shall see it. With her grayscaled body and clothes, including the gym outfit she gave off a unlively presence, a bit hostile considering she didn't have the most friendly expression to begin with. Kneeling down she planted her hand at the bright green grass and looked up to the group and the teacher. ''Name's Risaka, Risa for short...'' Not exactly the most enthusiastic start, but she clenched her hand and spread it wide open upon the grass, her eyes getting a topaz yellow shade as the green grass below her slowly lost their life rich colour. The green shade from the grass was absorbing into her arm and soon enough her entire limb was bright green with a small area around her being completely grayscaled.
''My Quirk is to take the advantage of this colourful world... it has a few benefits, but no time to show it all.'' With a quick dismissal she went back to cross her arms, however her left arm was still green until used, she did not wanna show anything more, and the faster her introduction finished the better.

Today, they were having homeroom in the grass outside of school. Why, Darren couldn’t tell and didn’t care. He just followed along with the rest of the class when he saw them headed outside. His reasoning was that either they were all going to the right place, or they would all be punished together.
But apparently, it was introductions time. It was a little late in the year, but it made sense. People were coming and going from the heroics program. Some just weren’t cut for it, Darren decided. Their vice-president was gone, too. He wasn't cut for it, Darren decided again.
As such, introductions were warranted once again. Darren sat cross-legged and cross-armed, listening to the others introduce themselves. The first to go on was Alex. It was short and sweet. Keep it simple, stupid. Darren nodded. He had read up on the KISS principle online and approved of it.
The next one was the new kid, the American baseball dude -- kind of a pleonasm, Darren thought, surprising himself for even knowing the word, let alone its meaning. The new kid was nervous and covered it with loud bravado, and with such a quirk it made sense. Everyone else said nice things. Darren kept his mouth shut, not being a fan of pity compliments, but he couldn’t help but to be impressed. He got in UA with the power of instantaneous momentum. This guy got in with the power of a backpack. This was a rather quick shortcut to earning Darren’s respect.
At least, on the inside. On the outside, he was already thinking of a dumb nickname. So far, he had Integrated Fanny Pack, Reverse Kangaroo and Bagboy, and the shitposting engine that resided in the back of his mind was running at full speed to come up with the stupidest possible one.
That Naoru boy was quiet as ever. He got up with hunched shoulders, but once he actually showed his quirk, he seemed to gain a burst of confidence. He let out a whistle when he showed off his aura claws. “Finally showing them fangs, aura boy?” he hollered in typical Darren fashion.
Next up was boyo. Darren had no idea what his real name was, even though he saw it every time the two of them butted heads in the class chat. He seemed to be the voice of reason type, and since Darren was anything but a voice of reason, the two of them naturally clashed. And since the blonde had an overinflated ego, he called him boyo.
He actually had no idea what boyo meant. He saw Jasmine use the expression once in the UA chat and decided he liked it. It was now Akio’s official Darren-approved nickname. When the boy presented his quirk, he said in a very patronizing tone: “Practice, boyo! Gotta make that ice quicker!”
He was smiling like an idiot. He didn’t really dislike the guy, he was just fun to mess with and usually good to get a reaction out of whenever Darren said something outrageous, which was very often. It could even be said that, in his own twisted way, the blonde delinquent actually liked his boyo. Whatever the fuck a boyo actually was.
Then the class president put on her performance again. Over time, he got used to her, so it barely drew a reaction out of him when she stripped to her underwear to show everyone her quirk. He shot a glance at boyo, expecting him to be embarrassed if his reactions to Yumi’s inherent Yumi-ness in the chat were of any indication.
Two more newbs came in, or at least they were new to Darren. There was a boy who could make plushies come alive by spraying them with window cleaning product, or whatever the hell was in that pschiit bottle. In this moment, he couldn't help but get an intense craving to see his childhood plushie come to life. It was a brown and black stuffed dog with one of its ears bitten to threads, and it had gotten into its fair share of epic, if entirely imaginary fights against the forces of evil all through Darren's childhood. Now it sat on the corner of a shelf back at his mom's place. He had never had the heart to throw it away.
The next one to show her power was the grayscale girl. He had noticed her before, since she was hard not to notice what with being grayscaled and all, but it was the first time he saw her power. He opened his mouth, and something that definitely wasn't smart came out. "Are you a chameleon?"
And now came his turn. He pulled himself up. You might be imagining the usual way of getting up, that involves uncrossing your legs and pushing yourself up. You would be wrong. Darren pulled himself up. Blue electricity crackled on his body for an instant.
From his cross-legged position, he started to levitate. You might be imagining the standard type of levitation, starting slow and smooth all the way. You would be wrong again. His quirk made him accelerate in an instant, and to an exterior observer, it looked like he had been suddenly forced up by the jerk of an invisible string attached to the top of his head, or like an especially cheap special effect in Power Rangers.
He serenely uncrossed his legs in mid-air and landed on his feet. His hands had found the way to his pockets in one smooth motion. At this moment, Darren thought that he looked very cool.
“I’m Darren, and this is my quirk. It says its called autokinesis in my govt file. I can create instantaneous momentum in my body without having to lift a finger.” He adopted the slyest smile he could manage. “Think of it like a gun and I’m the bullet.” With this, he sat back with his legs crossed again. Cool heroes didn’t talk for longer than necessary, he decided. It was important to keep an air of mystery.
As was the case for most adolescents, especially those of the delinquent strain, self-image was very important to Daimon Darren.

They still didn't have a proper homeroom teacher? Both the other classes did but 1-C was scraping the bottom of the barrel, at least 1-C had the most diverse students. Class 1-C was having a class outside today and when Eli heard that he couldn't help but wonder what they would be doing. Combat training? Rescue Operations? Sparring? Unfortunately none of those were the case. It was a simple introductory class that you would normally have at the beginning of the year. He had hoped that U.A. wouldn't force them to do something so simple but he supposed it couldn't be avoided, at least they were able to wear the extremely comfortable athletic wear the school provided.
The teacher, Mr. Glove demonstrated what was required of us. A quick, simple introduction consisting of our name and a quirk demonstration. His quirk wasn't extremely flashy but it was fairly effective. It likely had something to do with the chains but before Eli could figure it out, the first student was required to go. Alex had a pretty cool quirk that impressed Eli, he could make objects out of shadows, obviously that would be very effective during night time. Second to go was a kid names Kirk Bluster who obviously was the rowdy one in the class. He had a quirk that aloud him to pocket items in a sack of skin, useful for rescue heroes, but it won't be very good for combat. The third student Naoru was a mystery, he could control his aura, but what did that entail? How could that be used. Fourth to demonstrate was Akio who could control temperature. Depending on the user it could be effective, but what's the limit? Fifth was the class president, Yumi. She could emit electricity, but she couldn't control it well. With electricity being such a powerful element she would be very useful if she could control her quirk. Sixth was Kutsushita who had the most unique quirk Eli had seen, by spraying anything that had been sewn together, he could control them. Seventh was Risaka who could absorb the life of nature from the looks of it. Eighth to go was Darren, who could create momentum. "His quirk could be really useful in a variety of situations, I wonder how he'll use it in the future." He mumbled before realizing everyone was waiting on him to go.
He walked to where everyone else demonstrated. "Sorry about that, I was lost in thought. My names Elijah Bantis but you can call me Eli and my quirk," Eli materialized a diamond nail in front of him, "is the ability to manifest diamond like structures out of thin air and control them. It's not super flashy but it has a lot of uses." Eli put the diamond nail in his pocket and went right back to where the main group was. He didn't do bad for a newbie.

Cian nodded his head as each student went on to introduce themselves. This was about more than just formality. If the class was going to be growing together and becoming heroes, they needed to learn to work together. Each class needed to get accustomed to working with other heroes and understanding what each of them could do. They needed to cover each other's faults and support each other for the hardships that were to come. Them understanding each other's quirks was a step in that. He knew how some felt. Keeping things secret from each other to act as a surprise was an advantage should there ever be some kind of competition between them. However, Cian felt like that was unnecessary. Though that improved did so not because they were holding on to some trump card like a crutch, but because they were able to evolve and progress at the moment when it was needed. It helped him a great many times in his firefighter career and he hoped that the students would learn to do the same. "You all are quite gifted. Consider me impressed." He spoke up shortly after Eli finished. He noticed a thing or two that needed improvement or assistance with each of them. However, it was up to their real homeroom teacher to handle that once she could see them in action. That was exactly his intention today. "And I hope you all paid attention to what the others could do and how they could do them. That information will prove valuable during your time together." He added with a small chuckle. It seemed like there was going to be more to this class then just introductions. They were to even the playing field a bit but now was the true homeroom. "In fact...it will right now. I have a game for you all to play. Consider it your first physical quirk class." With that, he motioned a hand toward the students and pointed out each of them as he spoke. "When I was a young boy, the children in my neighbor played a fun little game you all may be familiar with. We called it Oni Tag." He paused a moment after his spoke. Sure, tag was a game that every student played, but oni tag was a little different. "In Oni Tag, there is no one person that is it, everyone is. And your goal is to not be it by tagging someone else. If you are tagged and are already it, you've got another stack of being it. And your goal is to not be it by the time the game is over." They were simple enough instructions for the base game. It was a game made by children after all. "However, you are all teenagers with quirks to use. So tagging someone is not enough. You've got to knock them off balance enough that one foot leaves the ground against their will. Aside from that, the normal tag rules apply." He was speaking honestly even though he was talking about a children's game. These teenagers were about to play tag and they had free reign to use their quirks. "Do put on a good show, someone important will be watching."
-You can skip me for the next few rounds until I declare the game over. -Latecomers get an extra stack of it for being late. -If you "tag" multiple people at once, only the first person counts.

Post by Yumi Tasukai on Aug 5, 2018 17:37:14 GMT -4
With the rest of her class very happily introducing themselves, Yumi hoped she'd made a good impression on the students she had yet to get truly acquainted with with. She knew some might have found her need to strip unnerving, but at the same time her running that distance and coming back with huge scorched holes in her gym clothes probably wasn't gonna leave that good a mark on the memory either...though it could have earned a few giggles and gotten everyone to laugh and loosen up...
Watching the class that came after her they all seemed pretty interesting. One she recognized from a small gathering seemed to be able to bring toys to life, while another she didn't recognize could make diamonds?! Wow! There had to be some drawback to that for it to be so cool!~ She wondered if the diamond industry was ever on his ass incase he crashed the market? Of course Darren showed his power too and pretty casually to boot. He seemed to be getting some good control over it so she was interested in watching it continue to develop.
As the teacher took the attention back to them, it seemed they were going to be informed of why class was outside today. When it came to light, Yumi was a little shocked. Tag? Okay, she knew Oni tag, but that did still seem a little odd for a class. Was it just to see who had been paying attention, or who had been thinking on how to best use their quirk? Whatever the case it was an interesting concept as a lesson, and already, before they were given the go ahead, Yumi's mind was racing. A lot of her classmates had powers she didn't see an innate use for in tag. Color girl could perhaps drain the colors around her to blend in and catch a classmate off guard, but she absorbed the color, making her stand out in a patch of black and white. Darren seemed to have the clearest advantage with speed and accuracy being immense facotrs, while Yumi wondered if Eli and Alex's creation quirks counted as a 'tag' if she was hit by their items.
What she did know was...with the class grouped up like this...
She had a huge advantage.
"Alright gang, lets all remember this is just a game and to have fu-ZZZZZZZZZZZZT" Before she even finished her sentance and the teacher had given them the go ahead, Yumi suddenly lurched forward like when she had demonstrated her quirk before. She'd had a nice breather while everyone else had shown their own quirks and now she was ready to go again. In the middle of her classmates she shot out hot streams of electric energy, most of them arcing directly for the nearest conductive surfaces, her classmates. Of course, Yumi's electricity was nothing too dangerous, akin to a tazer shot that could bring someone stunned to their knees without risking anything like heart failure. Once her burst was over, she took a sharp intake of breath, much more used to having a longer breather but knowing she had no time to waste. She couldn't even take in if anyone had the reaction times to block or dodge her sudden burst of electrical energy!
"TAG!" Reaching out to the nearest person to her at the time, Akio without much thought, she slapped a hand across their back, some remaining static sending a secondary jolt through their skin before she started jogging away as fast as she could. She was not at all physically fit at this point in time despite her body giving the appearance that she was, and so she knew she had to get away from the main chaos and start keeping a good eye on who still had tags they could unload on her. "Sorry sorry sorry guys!~" Despite her clear apologeticness behind her words, she was still giggling her head off as she tried to run out of the main group between her classmates while their bodies were still convulsing from her discharge.

Post by Junko Tanaka on Aug 5, 2018 18:03:17 GMT -4
And so the time finally came. Class 1-C would finally get their true teacher. Their Homeroom Teacher. It was almost time for the Rescue Operations Teacher Cian Glave to pass the torch to Junko Tanaka. Almost. As the blue woman did not show herself to the class yet. No, instead she let Cian have his last time with these children as their homeroom teacher. Junko watched from the sidelines, out of the childrens gaze to see what were they like and what were they capable of.
The first was Alexander Deraine who made a short and yet efficent introduction and example of his Quirk. A short and simple introduction. Very good. The next one was Kirk Bluster. Honestly commenting his teachers and his colleagues Quirk was unnecessary. But then when he started his own introduction it was very loud and informal. When he had to show his Quirk, he started lifting his gymsuit outfits shirt up, until it was about over his shoulders. Then seemingly a little flap started emerging from his back, it expanded outwards, getting farther and wider until there was seemingly a giant sail on his back. Although even a little bit closer inspection showed it being more like a big sack stuck on his back, with a shadow covering the inner part. There was seemingly a lone cap inside. The boy said he could shove things into it and carry items. She could just hear it now, the comparissons. Her own Quirk can store items into her gemstone that was at the back of her head. She already started pinching the bridge of her nose. And then, she heard the third introduction
Naoru Kehai, he seemed a bit... nervous or shy. He explained that he could control his Aura. An interesting quirk for an interesting boy with a lot of potential. After that was Akio Hirotaka. This boy seemed very observant, any comments about his colleagues Quirks, he kept to himself and then properly introduced himself and displayed his Quirk very well. Not to mention he was cooperative. Very good. It looks like class 1-C might not be a disaster after all.
After Akio it was Yumi Tasukai's turn. She seemed enthusiastic, but seemingly unsure of herself, already willing to say that her Quirk might dissappoint. Junko watched and first thing she thought when she displayed her bra was "Note to self. Yumi Tasukai has to learn proper dress code" Junko thought as she realized that her exposed sports bra was not necesarry for her Quirk to work. She glanced at Cian, wondering why he hasnt spoken anything about the way this child dresses. When she heard the girl was the class president, Junko grimaced. It was obvious why she was chosen. When it came to her Quirk, Junko admitted that it was interesting. Generating Electricity. Surely with time she could learn to aim and control it
Kutsushita Ito was after the class president. Again, the boy could do with less commenting and more just doing what he was told. Introduce himself and his Quirk. These kids did not need to gawk at one another. Luckily his introduction was short and simple as was his Quirk. The next one was Risaka Reinacht, who did NOT properly introduce herself. Very informal and lazy. And her show and tell of the Quirk was also seemingly lazy as she did not explain what happens to her coloured hand. What advantage or benefits does she speak of? Very vague. Was it just absorbing and releasing colour?
But then, after Risaka. It was Daimon Darren's turn. He made annoying comments to his colleagues, calling Akio such things as 'boyo'. It seemed that every little thing about this 'boyo' as he said just ticked Junko off. When Darren showed his Quirk off, all Junko could think of was "Human Slingshot". And then Darren introduced himself as he thought he was cool and the hotest shit around. Honestly, Junko did not want to comment on Darren. She just knew that they will probably 'get along' just fine. Get along being in BIG air quotations. As in... not at all.
The last one then was Elijah Bantis who was seemingly lost in space before he realized he should intoduce himself. The boy had an interesting Quirk. Manifesting Diamond like structures? Very interesting and could be very useful.
Then Cian spoke again. She watched him as he guided this class. He said this would be their first 'Physical quirk class', something of a game. Oni Tag. As Cian finished talking, Junko turned her gaze to the Class President, Yumi. Keeping an eye on her during this little 'game'

After their brief demonstrations Glave-sensei addressed the class again, apparently their next task was to play...tag? I guess it's a fun way to show off our current abilities and skills, how well we can move and how we adapt to unexpected situations, also with our quirks thrown in it'd also measure how we can formulate plans to work against other quirks? he thought to himself Someone important is watching? Who could that be but, he had no time to go over who it could've been as before he had a chance to move, he felt a shock go through his body, he fell to his knees and felt a hand slapping his back, he turned around to see the Class Pres running away, giggling to herself Dammit, the game just started and I'm already behind, why did it have to be me he thought to himself as he fought against his bodies convulsion and rose to his feet, slightly wobbling No time to feel sorry for myself, should I unload a tag on someone close to me or should I go get the class pres back? he thought to himself as he took this time where everyone was still affected Yumi's electricity Ok, if I go after Yumi, I risk being hit by her quirk again, although after discharging that much electricity, surely she'd need time to recharge at least a little bit? Fuck it, I'm taking the risk he thought to himself as he stopped wobbling and the effects of Yumi's electricity wearing off, he charged right after her, since his quirk couldn't be used directly on people, he was going to have to rely on his large stature to try and throw the class off balance. As he approached Yumi he started calling out to her "Come on Class Pres, surely you don't think you can outrun me," he shouted as he started gettting closer, once he was within range he lunged at her, hoping to catch her from behind and try and use her own momentum against her

When everyone was done introducing themselves, the teacher presented the rules of a game. Darren looked at the faces around him. It seemed like a pretty cool class, after all, with all these new peeps. A smile drew itself on its face, and he barely willed it. This year seemed to present itself under the best, or at least the funniest auspices.
The game was oni tag. As a rather spirited youth in his childhood, he knew a lot of variations of tag. Tag was the universal game that every child in the world knew how to play, language barriers be damned, yet everyone had their own rules for it. As a four-year-old who didn’t speak a word of English yet, he had no problem playing it with his Australian cousins.
The rules in question essentially allowed you to stack tags, which meant that in Darren’s experience, all he had to do to win was rush someone in the beginning, perch himself upon a tree and wait it out. He considered his classmates’ powers. It was a safe plan. For that reason, he decided to ditch it. It wasn’t fun if he didn’t put himself out here, reasoned the blondie, so he decided that if he got off too easily, he would play the torero with his classmates, essentially putting himself in danger for spectacle and fun. Such was the mind of the wild Darren.
As he was plunged into these deep reflections, however, their crafty class president pulled a daring but effective move. He should have been able to dodge, but he didn’t see it coming at all and the delinquent was taken by complete surprise. As such, he ate his shock like everyone and liked it too. Or so the expression went, but Darren hated being outplayed. Thankfully, he wasn’t Yumi’s target, so he got off easy and boyo ate a stack of tag. Sorry boyo, thought Darren.
The boyo in question courageously took off after her. It was an admirable effort. Darren decided to give him a helping hand, even out the playing field, if you will. Or at least, that’s how he justified himself. He really just wanted to flex his quirk.
He was a self-professed supporter of the class president, but even he wasn’t gonna let her get away with it that easily. No reason she should be the only one with no stack of tag. His competitive instincts overrode any affection he might have had for Yumi and turned him into a tagging machine, cold and focused but still chock-full of Darren’s patented brand of idiocy.
Blue electricity sparked on him for a full second as he quickly got up. And then he was off, headed like a human cannonball for the redhead’s shoulders. He aimed not only to tag her, but to style on her too by jumping over her shoulders with his hands like he was playing leapfrog. He would fly past Akio in the process and throw an enthusiastic “Hey boyo!” on the way.
