WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy So many students were requiring assistance. Ever since yesterday, there had been consultations practically around the clock. Students waking up in the middle of the night with issues, having a desperate need for medical attention. One day with this madness had already passed. Now it was slowly nearing evening on day two. The notes on the symptoms and potential causes had grown exponentially with the amount of patients. One thing had become clear; They were dealing with some kind of drug. Those that were least affected were reporting that they felt more powerful than normal. Those that were affected more had symptoms reminding Rin a lot of heroin or perhaps cocaine. Most worrying indeed. In the nurses office, Rin had kept several personal belongings, as it seemed she'd be unable to return to the dorm room for the foreseeable future, unable to leave the infirmary unattended. The belongings were her lunchbox, containing the leftovers of a homemade cheese burger that she had been unable to finish, three water bottles, freshly attained from the cafeteria, plus pencilcases, notepads, medical books and the like. In general, Rin was armed for an entire night of working hard shifts. From what little Rin had witnessed, the school was practically engulfed in chaos. Girls were making out in corridors, teachers were chasing invisible creatures brought to life by their imagination... It was a complete disaster. A disaster that, if they failed to contain, could ruin Yuuei's reputation forever.
Fortunately, Rin was not alone. Elise-chan had been with her for a majority of the ride. Having even a single extra pair of hands made an enormous difference. The stress, the sheer amount of work, all the added medical theory. Rin was pressured. It was far beyond what she was capable of handling on her own. In the backroom, Sophie had been prepared for dialysis. It was Rin's first attempt, with anyone. Cleansing the blood of those infected may have been the only way to remove the toxins from their bodies. Naturally, had Rin not been able to give a blood transfusion at a moment's notice, she would've never attempted something so far from her own estimated skill level. In short, Rin was desperate to get Sophie back on her feet... Rin felt the edge coming closer. The girl felt like crying. If anything happened to those contaminated, would it be her fault..?
Keeping the entirety of the school updated on symptoms, reactions, treatments, withdrawal symptoms and what else she could, Rin was doing her darndest at shutting this down before it grew beyond control. For a few short moments, Rin almost nodded off besides Sophie's bed. The dryness of Rin's lips had the girl slowly rise from her position inside the infirmary, heading towards the office proper where she kept her things. A good bit to drink, maybe a few more bites of the burger... Just a small tiny break before returning to her patients. That couldn't hurt anyone, right...?

In the week leading up to this insanity, Nick had been mindful to stock his room with bottled water from a local convenience store. Thunder had told him what he intended to do with Yuuei, and Nick intended to watch. To figure out if Thunder’s way was truly the right one. To decide where he stood with the man.
He was not content to hang back entirely, however. He possessed some of the drug on his person and he planned to see the results of it through his own actions – and he had chosen none other than his favourite girl, Rin Kurama, to be his guinea pig.
He knew her to be assisting in the infirmary. Of course she would be, being the perfect bloody guardian angel that she was. Something inside him did what he could only describe as halfway between a twist and a flutter as he thought of her goddamn perfection. It almost gave him pause for a second as he slipped into the nurse’s office, thankfully undetected so far.
He dismissed the strange, unexplainable feeling and focused on the task at hand. The nurse was not around, for whatever reason, so he assumed the bottle of water there was Rin’s – perfect. It could not have been easier for him. He unscrewed the bottle and dumped every last ounce of the drug he had on him into it. It was far, far more than necessary for the average person, but the nature of Rin’s blood Quirk made her different from average.
That, and much more importantly, he really wanted to see her squirm.
Shit. He heard the sound of someone approaching and hurriedly screwed the bottles shut again before diving into an empty supply locker.

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Absentmindedly, Rin returned to the office, looking around suspiciously. The girl could've sworn she had just heard something from this room. Tilting her head, she looked under the desk, half expecting Sophie to have been getting up to no good. Finding nothing, Rin shook her head from side to side. Perhaps the stress was getting to her afterall. Sitting down in the nurses chair, Rin wiped some sweat off of her forehead, sighing softly. Taking the water bottle plus unpacking the remainder of the burger, she leaned back in the chair completely. Unscrewing the bottlecap, the girl pressed the plastic against her lips, taking a large zip. Grimacing, bottled water always tasted a little different than tap-water. Though, given the circumstances, Rin was not going to near the tap-water anytime soon. A few gulps quenched the girl's thirst, as a content sigh left her lips. From there, Rin began quietly eating at her homemade cheeseburger. It had pickles, lettuce, cheese, bacon, the patty plus several spices and some salsa. Rin adored the salsa in the burger, it made it have a certain kick to it which Rin enjoyed. The heat outside was unbearable, and despite the hour being late, it was still quite oppressive. Almost twenty-eight degrees celcius. Fanning herself with a hand, Rin took a few more gulps from her bottle, enjoying the meal to its fullest.
As soon as the burger was finished, Rin leaned in over the desk, continuing to drink from her bottle. At this rate, the girl was fairly certain she'd finish all three water bottles before the night was over. With a bit of luck, Rin would get a bit more rest than she had gotten yesterday. Twirling the pencil between her fingers, Rin was reviewing all the information she had gained thus far. Remaining there, completely relaxed in the nurses chair, drinking from the bottle until it was empty, less than five minutes passed before things started happening. The letters on the page began elongating, turning into something else. The ink seemingly dripping off into a puddle on the floor. Curious, Rin lifted the paper, noticing that it felt incredibly heavy. Thats when the girl realized what was going on. Despite how careful she had been with cross-contamination, something had clearly gone wrong. Rin was almost immediately aware that she was contaminated.
Trying to get up from the chair, sweat was pouring off of her at the moment, as she struggled to stay relatively focussed despite her world turning and twisting. Having stood up too fast, the chair tilted backwards, flopping onto the ground with a thud. Grabbing for the table to stay balanced, all of her notes went flying as well. Grabbing her phone, Rin wanted to contact someone for help. Anyone. Instead, the only cohesive word that she managed to text was fuck.
From there, things escalated quickly. The sensation in her stomach, rumbling. It felt like her entire body was being lit on fire. Albeit, it wasn't burning her, she just felt incredibly hot. If Rin had not been so utterly terrified, this sensation would've... probably been one of the most pleasurable she had ever witnessed. It felt like the world was opening up to her, revealing her secrets that she had never encountered before... but because of the dosage, it kept opening up. The letters on her notes were long gone. The balance in her legs long gone. Flopping onto her ass, Rin was sitting on all four, crawling towards the door...
A soft giggle left her lips. Soon, Rin rolled over on her back, looking up at the ceiling. The entire world was spinning around, and her nausea was increasing by the moment. Simultaneously, Rin felt absolutely amazing, but also horrifyingly sick. Perhaps that is what seemed so funny to her. Rin was in the center, of a joyous tivoli ride, which she wanted to get off of, but it kept pulling her along, no matter how much she struggled. The girl's breathing was slowing down... Soon, Rin just laid there on the ground, squirming ever so slightly. Completely pacified, the girl was off in some different dimension...

Nick did not know what he had expected. Perhaps her to just start crazily shooting blood everywhere, yes, that seemed the most like what should have happened. He had not thought she would collapse, that was for certain. Not right away, at least.
Well, he had wanted to see her squirm, and he was certainly getting that. He still got a sick satisfaction out of seeing her crawl around haplessly. Her giggle brought back that weird fluttering-twist feeling again…
He emerged from his hiding place and approached her tentatively, conscious of the fact she could still start shooting blood around, maybe.
“Rin?”
He nudged her lightly with his foot. Then, he tried to lift her, which was easy to do but then she fell against him and the rest of the world ceased to exist. He froze with an audible whimper. He had never had a member of the opposite sex this close to him before in his life. She felt what he could only describe as strangely nice. Nick swallowed, his breaths having become short. He suddenly could not remember why he was there.
He cupped her face with his hands and lightly stroked it. He gripped her face and they began to shake. “God, why are you so beautiful?” She really was. He had never noticed up until seeing her this close, or maybe he had never wanted to admit it. He no longer knew. Looking at her this close made the fluttering feeling act up something crazy. “I hate you so much…”
He did. More than anyone else he knew. Hated how she had fooled him into believing she was weak and worthless. Hated how she continued to best him. Hated these weird sensations she was giving him and the fact he did not understand them at all.
One way or another, he would ruin her someday.
It was then Nick did something even he could not explain – he dipped his head and attempted to kiss her, full on, forcing his tongue between her lips if he could.

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Rin had attempted to call for help, yet couldn't exactly remember why. Everything was fine. Eyes sailing around in their sockets, the lights from the lamps in the ceiling were so beautifully dancing across the girl's sapphire retina. From this angle, it almost looked like angels dancing. Heavenly, beautiful, divine. Their heavenly light would not continue to shine. A demon had entered the girl's realm of existance, blocking out the divine lights with an imposing shadow. It touched Rin with it's hooved foot. The demon, whom in actuality was Nick, could see the terror in Rin's eyes. Rin attempted to lift her arms to shield her face. Instead, the girl's arms were like spaghetti, flopping a little here and there, everywhere. Perhaps if they were boiled, they'd be edible like actual spaghetti?... The demon was edging closer, leaning down, grasping hold of her. The girl's skin, which had otherwise felt like it was burning, was so cold where he held her. The attempt at struggling against his grasp, came off as little more than helpless squirming. Rin had lost complete control over her body at this point. The only thing that she managed to express was dread.
The demon spoke in a language that Rin did not understand. Muttering a response, her voice was barely understandable in turn. "N-no.. D-don't eat me... P-please..." However, the demon listened not to the girl's pleas. Tilting her head backwards, Rin could offer very little resistance. The demon attacked her lips hungrily. Rin was certain that it was attempting to swallow up her soul. The girl's entire body tensed up, tears ran from the corner of her eyes. The world began slowly being devoured by the darkness, as pieces of her soul were stolen from her. The light was fading. The tension in her body slowly giving way to numbness. A small trail of drool running from the corner of her lip, down to her chin. Any attempt at resisting halted. The girl's eyes then lost their light, as her consciousness faded. The dosage of the drug being enough to lower her breathing to a rate where remaining conscious was impossible. Had it been done to a regular person, who did not have the luxury of tons of blood in the body to carry oxygen, Rin might've suffocated.Rin had a sweet scent of flowers to her. The girl's skin was soft, like untouched silk. If the words had been spoken by anyone else, at any different time, they would've made her blush. They would've made her feel happy... If Rin had been conscious enough to have hear and understood them coming from Nick?... Those same words might've scared her breathless.

Nick’s body was on fire. He was floating away. He closed his eyes as he continued to kiss her, savouring everything about her; her taste, her smell, her softness and the feeling of her against him. He never wanted to stop.
Until he opened his eyes again, at which point the sight of her unconscious face somehow broke the spell over him. He pulled back and released her as though she were radioactive. “N-no…”
What the hell was he doing? He did not know. His mind was blank except for the voices screaming at him to keep going. And God, he wanted to. The idea of taking her back to his room played through his mind. His hands even twitched.
“What are you doing to me?” he asked her, even though she could not answer.
He backed away. These feelings scared him. He had no idea what they were or where they were coming from. And to have been brought to the forefront by her, of all people…
Somehow he still had the fortitude to grab the bottle he had drugged with the intention of disposing of it somewhere far from the school. With that he fled faster than he had run in recent memory. He needed to wash his mouth – except he did not want to. That, and the water was poisoned, but mostly he really did not want to. He did not even want to leave. He did, though, fleeing back towards the dormitories.
What was she doing to him? He was afraid of an answer…

Badum, Badum, Badum. as she ran down the corridors of the school building Elise could find her heart beating erratically in her chest. Although the recent days had been a period of trials and tribulations for the people at Yūei Kōkō, she had not been one to lose hope. Why? Because amidst the darkness of this difficult time that would make most despair Elise had found a blessing: a newfound friendship in one of the students of the high school, one who just like her was working side by side to find a way to save the academy. Rin Kurama was the second friend she had made in her entire life, and was right now in danger... which meant she found herself acting automatically on the thought: I got to save Rin!
She gripped her cell phone tightly, but no new messages had appeared on the screen since Rin's cryptic message. Fortunately, she had been in the dorms, so she quickly was able to confirm the girl wasn't in her room, which meant she was already back at the infirmary. Although she was not strong or fast by any means, Elise was an energetic lass with a lot of energy, so she was running toward the infirmary without a moment to slow down, her mind haunted by the thoughts what might have been happening to the girl.
Finally, she arrived at the infirmary, a hand sliding onto the door as she opened it to find a scene even her nightmares couldn't justify. Rin was lying on the floor, a broken shell of her usual self and a twisted mixture of euphoria and terror upon her visage. "Rin!" She called out, stepping into the room as she worriedly approached the girl, kneeling down beside her. "What happened to you?" She tried to sound as kind and reassuring as possible, but those symptoms, this seemed like a much more intense response than the one Sophie had before according to Rin's notes.
The worst possible thing had happened, Rin had been infected. "But how? Why? You're too smart to take a risk like this after knowing we're dealing with someone trying to---" She paused, a moment of distress crossing her expression. She quickly looked around the room, remnants of a meal, a phone on the ground... the chatroom open as if a desperate call for help was made, a silent plea to be saved.
Even as the poor girl had lost consciousness Elise had gently pulled one arm beneath the girl's neck, trying to slowly lift her slightly. "What can I do? We didn't get to prepare an antidote yet..." That was a lie, there was an antidote, there always had been one. One with the power to cure this 'blight' upon the school. There had been someone who could save Rin right now, that someone who was hesitating now.
Why was she hesitating? To use a power she was embarrassed about? One only a few people knew about? But how? The only way she could save Rin was with her Quirk. Was she so weak, so pathetic she would abandon someone who needed her? Someone who had stood by her side against this fight? Someone she called a friend?
Tears gathered in her eyes. That treatment was sacred, one she had reserved for someone special. But if she didn't act now, then things would surely worsen. Rin didn't deserve this, nobody did. She had the power to help, then why... why wouldn't she?
Ah... That was it because she was ashamed. Ashamed that people would realize just what type of weird power she possessed. Her power was something a pervert would use as an excuse.
"Rin..." She called out gently, her eyes steeling their gaze into one of gentle determination. "It's alright now... Why? Because I am here."
She brought a fingertip gently to Rin's lips, a tender caress even if she knew it wouldn't cause a reaction. "I once told myself I would only use this power for one I love. But if I can't find it in me to do this... to save you, then I wouldn't have the right to become a doctor... or even call myself your friend."
If it had affected Rin this strongly, it was certain that she had ingested a large dose, so drastic measures had to be made. "Even if we only met recently, I really liked that you trusted me this much, relied on me..."
She smiled for a moment as she slowly leaned in. "So thank you... Rin." And then came the salvation the girl needed. Just like a Demon had violated her earlier, an angel had bestowed her with a warmth that would wash away this seeping darkness. Even as a tongue invaded, gently engaging in a slow waltz around the girl's own, Elise was certain that her actions would work, she did her utmost to ensure that she used as much of her saliva as possible, even if... it did leave things a bit messy, but at least it would help Rin's body to purify itself from the curse the demon left upon her.
After what seemed like an eternity she finally parted, leaning back slightly as she whispered like the early rays of sunshine that accompanied the dawn that would banish the dark shadows looming over Rin's consciousness. "Rin, can you hear me? Please... please get back to me, I need you... I can't solve this problem alone."
Even as her heart was skipping beats for an unknown reason, and she felt immensely embarrassed by her actions just now, her concern for Rin's safety was too overwhelming. Still, even as she waited for Rin to react to the treatment Elise thought about what had happened. Rin had been poisoned, her attitude made her believe that was a mistake she wouldn't make, which made Elise ponder: Did someone else...
"Impossible...." she whispered, she didn't want to believe it. Someone who could come close enough to poison a student? That could only be someone who was at the academy! One of their own... a student or teacher at U.A. A slow tap came with her free hand toward her phone, looking at it as she found an unpleasant emotion rise up within her: anger.

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy In all of Rin's life, the girl had only ever recieved one kiss with any meaning prior to this day. That kiss, was from her roommate Jasmine, who had gotten a bit overwhelmed with a birthday present, showing affection in the most direct manner that she could. It hadn't had the connotations of romantic love, Rin knew as much. Still, it had flustered her greatly, even if there was nothing too serious behind the act itself. Never had the raven haired female imagined that two additional kisses would be stolen from her. Even more ludicrus did it seem, that the kiss Rin would've appreciated the least, was the romantic one. Woe is me. Rin, having been forced completely wayside by the drugs, was now slowly returning to this world. The purification beginning with her senses, bringing the girl back from the brink, one experience at a time.
The first sensation that came back was touch. Warm, soft, breath, slightly... wet?. Rin's fingers began twitching, the raven haired maiden wondering if she was somehow drowning?.. At least her mouth felt strangely as if that might be the case. Breathing through her nose seemed to cause no issues, though..? Rin's thoughts were once again her own. It had been a horrible sensation, feeling like her thoughts were not... what she'd normally think. For someone relying so heavily on their intellect, drugs that affected the mind were horrifying. The second sense returning was sound. Rin could hear soft breathing, in a different rhythm than her own. There was someone else with her. Something that was breathing almost panicked. What could possibly be happening?.. Why did Rin have such a pounding headache?... Faintly, in the background, Rin could hear the twirring of machinery. They were still in the nurses office. Memories jumbled, everything was a bit of a blur, but she remembered... something...Then came scent. It was fruity, sweet, pleasant. It was one of the only snacks Rin was afforded growing up, because it was so cheap and could be acquired in abundance. The girl could recognize that scent anywhere. It was almost enough to make Rin hungry for more. Apples. The scent alone was enough tot almost make Rin smile, a soft twitch going through her lips. The world was currently a strange mixture... Warmth, cold, soft, hard. Rin could tell that she was lying on the floor. Her head, perhaps on some kind of pillow?.. The only thing she could not figure out, was what was going on with her lips.. The softness, the warmth, it was still there...?Blinking a couple of times, Rin's vision was still blurry. For every passing moment, the world slowly came back, restoring sight into the sapphire blue eyes. It was in this moment, that the softness against her lips left, faded. Swallowing once, so that she could breathe, Rin was still not aware of how embarassing that action would later reveal itself to be. Coughing lowly, Rin took a few deep breaths. With this final action, the world focussed, as Rin was lying with her head carefully nustled in Elise's grasp. The raven dark hair still lying on the floor. "Rin, can you hear me? Please... please get back to me, I need you... I can't solve this problem alone.""Elise-chan?.. Y-yeah.. I can hear you... what's going on..? What happened?... Last I remember I... was losing my mind." Rin was squirming ever so slightly, still not moving around much. While the world was most certainly returning to a state that Rin could comprehend, the girl's body was still recuperating. Narrowing her eyes, Rin could tell. Elise was worried, concerned. Yet, with every passing moment, as Rin regained more and more composure, the worry seemed to slowly be replaced... with a smile?

Good, it seemed her ability was working. Although the signs were subtle at first, slowly but certainly her Quirk did its work, almost like a full body-flush, and then she finally moved, slightly. "You shouldn't move too much yet Rin." Yes, the emotions she felt right now had made her unaware she had dropped the formality in her addressing of the girl, not even a -chan was given. "Your body is still recuperating and even if it's being aided right now, it still will take a bit of time before your body is back to normal." She explained in the kindest tone she could muster.
A doctor always remains positive, for if they start to despair then there will be no hope left for the patient. But at this point? At this point, the emotions were too much and threatened to overwhelm her like a tsunami sweeping over a dam. Nothing could stop those emotions in their wake as she finally gave in, both her arms gently wrapping around the smaller shoulders of the girl as she tried to lightly embrace her, stifling the flow of tears that were nearly ready to emerge. "I was so worried..."
She finally leaned back, a hand wiping away her tears as she tried her best to smile. "To think you of all people would let yourself get infected... But this confirms my earlier suspicions." She paused for a moment, gently reaching with a hand to try to help Rin upright and move her to a nearby chair to take a seat while she gently scooped up the girl's phone.
"Do you remember anything Rin?" She asked worriedly as she looked around, it seemed that aside from the patients nobody else was in the infirmary from what she could see.
"Like did someone come here?" She took a deep breath and as she shifted her gaze around a final time she stepped toward Sophie's desk and pulled a chair from there so she could sit across from Rin while she started her explanation.
"You got poisoned Rin." She felt her sorrow rise up again alongside that other unfamiliar sensation. "I was getting some supplies in my room when I read your chat message, I perceived it as something going wrong so I rushed over here but I came too late... I'm sorry... I should have been here for you, I could have prevented this..." She felt her fists balling up, her fingernails digging lightly into her flesh as sorrow emerged within her once more, alongside that other unfamiliar and unpleasant sensation. "I'm using the term poisoned instead of infected because... From working with you earlier I noticed you're way too smart and careful to let such a simple mistake pass by, also that dose was way higher than the one from the other patients if the symptoms are to be considered a signal.... someone intentionally targeted you."
She closed her eyes and paused for a moment, a hand grasping for her cellphone. "Gimme a moment, I'm going to reassure the others that you're fine now."

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy The words reached Rin clearly. The world had returned, Rin was awake from that horrible nightmare, with the soul eating demon. It had all been a nightmare, that, if Rin was to try and piece the math together in a cohesive manner, had likely been caused by the drug entering her system. What a horrible experience. Tilting her head slightly to the side, as Elise explained how Rin's body was slowly recovering, Rin was a little confused. So, the raven haired maiden's lips parted, in an effort to state a simple question. A question that had jumped to the forefront of Rin's mind. "How did you..? ... Cure me, I mean. We've been looking for a potential solution all day, and you somehow worked it out on your own?.. I'm impressed.." Groaning softly, Rin had hardly managed to ask the question before Elise was wrapping her arms around the smaller female. A soft sniffle from Elise made it all the more clear. The situation had been pretty bad, especially if Elise's emotions were so exposed. "Well, aside from being a little disoriented, I feel pretty okay.." It was so unlike the usual positions that Rin found herself in. In the usual scenario, Rin was the one sitting on her knees, bent in over someone who had gotten wounded or hurt. Finding herself on the other end only once before, it had been at the hands of Sophie. The pink haired nurse picking up Rin after a training accident, caring for her so dearly. It was the same worrying gaze that Elise had in her eyes. An assuring sensation, Rin was certain. This girl had the potential to become the greatest doctor at Yuuei, eventually taking over Sophie's position, perhaps..? "N-no reason to be worried, Elise-chan. I promise! I feel... okay?" Assuring Elise that everything was currently okay, the other female tried putting words into her worry. Nodding quietly in reply, Rin didn't have much of an answer. Everything had been methodical, careful, calculated. Everything regarding the food had been kept clean, in their own containers and boxes, so that nothing could cross contaminate and get Rin contaminated with the drug. "I'm sorry Elise-chan, the only thing I remember, was sitting down for my meal. A homemade burger, of which I had already ate half without any kind of reaction.." Rin was trying to restructure the happenings. The burger paper on the floor made it very clear that she had eaten something. "While eating the burger, I drank one of the bottles of water, imported naturally.. had a sip of soda I think..." Rin gestured to the two remaining bottles, both of them sealed, unopened. "From there it's like the film is... groggy?.. I remember things but... I honestly can't discern fantasy from reality in those moments." Curiously, Rin looked around. There was something missing. "...Did you remove an empty bottle?" From that question alone, Rin could feel the atmosphere in the room shift a little. Elise clearly had something on her mind. Something that entailed less-than-ideal things. You were poisoned, Rin. Swallowing once, Rin lowered her gaze down onto the table. The realization hitting like a truck. "...So perhaps, whoever targetted Sophie, came back for the rest of us working on an antidote..." That much made sense to Rin. Theories budding, it was exceedingly clear to Rin, that the enemy of whoever had been poisoning the water supply with drugs, would be the nurse plus her assistants. "...If that is true, we ought to get some kind of security in place. Like a security guard..?"Quietly stretching her body, the girl felt strangely stiff. Despite having been mostly cleansed from the drug within her body, the overwork that Rin had been going through was still evident. Sighing softly, this day was turning out more and more difficult. "..I know you came as quick as you could. Thanks so much for looking out for me... It really means the world to me. Arigatou!"

She knew that there would have to be an explanation, in the end she was aware of just how much effort they had put in together to finish Sophie's job, to find the cure for this virus that had spread like an invisible blight. "Do you remember when we first started working together on solving this matter and I explained how my body is resistant to things like this?" She paused for a moment, even if she trusted Rin to not be judgemental it was still quite difficult to reveal the secret she was about to expose. "Please don't tell the others but... My quirk it..." gods, this really was more difficult to put in words, much more than she expected! "alters my bodily fluids. They possess a special property that induces a healing and regenerative effect when the body comes into contact with it, whether it is through touch or ingesting. However, it also has the ability to purify."
Of course, that would likely make Rin wonder why she didn't use this power right away to save everyone! "I... If I were to turn it into medicine it would be too weak to properly banish whatever is ailing everyone. At best it can temporarily weaken the symptoms. I tried earlier, but just contact with my sweat isn't enough either, Sophie-sensei didn't react when I tried to apply some of it to her hand, because it's so deep in the system it needs to be ingested."
And now came the part she dreaded to admit, her cheeks flushing up into a bright red hue as she confessed her deed. "In order to save you, I-I kissed you. By ensuring you swallowed enough of my saliva your body got flushed of the effects of the drug."
She took a deep breath to calm her nerves, but to no avail as her heart was beating even faster, making her feel even more flustered than before. "When I saw you suffering like that earlier I made my decision. Even if it was super embarrassing of me to do this, I care too much for you to allow you to experience something like that."
She lowered her head slightly and whispered feebly. "I..." She really was lost for words right now. "Umm..." What in the world could she even do to justify her actions? "B-but... you kind of tasted like a hamburger..."
At Rin's question about the empty bottle, Elise shook her head lightly in return and answered her. "No, I haven't touched anything, but your assumption is correct. If you believe you know people you could trust blindly, then maybe but else we need to consult the faculty about this. It's highly likely that the culprit behind your poisoning is someone who can get close to us without turning heads: one of our own."

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Rin was slowly coming to. The first thing the girl did, was reach forward to quietly receive her phone from Elise. Checking the chatroom, checking the timestamps, Rin had been gone for approximately twenty minutes. Notes on the floor, a waterbottle missing. Sighing softly, Rin could not deny it. There had been someone directly targetting her. Directly trying to cause her harm. Those dark machinations would have to wait for another time though. Right now, Elise-chan and the patients in the infirmary took precedent. Being more careful, there'd not be a repeat of the scandal that had brought Rin to her knees. Raising her sapphire ovals, Rin looked at Elise as the other girl began explaining. "Uhu, I remember." Biting her lower lip, Rin ought to have figured that the miraculous cure was in some way related to the other girl's quirk. There was a short notion, where Elise requested that Rin not share the nature of the girl's quirk with anyone else. That pained, guilty expression. Was that the same expression Rin had worn, when Yoruhi-san had shared quirks with her, on the very first day of school..? Rin knew how painful it could be, douting one's own abilities. Rin knew how many times worse it was, to feel like an integral part of oneself - like the quirk - was something that shouldn't be openly shared with others. There was a hint of understanding in Rin's eyes. There was also a hint of sorrow. Lastly, there was a hint of hope. If Rin could come to accept and appreciate a quirk as foul as her own, the surely there'd be nothing holding the timid Elise back from walking the same kind of path! "Oh. So your sweat, spit and other such mediums can heal and purify?... That's not something to be ashamed of, Elise-chan. That's actually really helpful." Rin offered a supportive, honest smile. Truly, compared to bleeding and infusing said blood into those that needed assistance, Elise's quirk seemed borderline harmless. The explanation continued, leading on to how Elise had attempted to purify Miss Sophie. Come to think of it, if Elise was capable of purifying Rin, shouldn't the girl have been capable of purifying Miss Sophie too?... Having the nurse on her feet would've been far more comforting to Rin, in an objective scenario, than Rin having been purified, if it was a singular person thing. Although, when Elise mentioned seeing Rin suffering on the floor, when Rin understood the pressure Elise must've felt, being forced to use a quirk that she didn't like...?Reaching forwards, Rin carefully brushed Elise's hair away from her eyes, making sure that their eyes met. The words spoken were genuine. They were meant to pick Elise up, banish the sensation of worry, instill some confidence... "You protected me. Please, don't be embarassed... It might be one of the sweetest things anyone has ever done for me." Knowing what had happened, Rin was explicitly focussing on Elise's intent. Just like with Jasmine, a kiss did not have to mean romance. Elise had done this to prevent suffering, and it had worked. Rin was thankful. "For today, at least, you're my number one hero." The raven haired female's ability to remain calm under pressure shone brightly. Right up until an awkward comment about the burger. Breaking eye-contact, Rin looked away, stuttering a little, trying to regain composure. "W-well if you l-liked the taste I can make you one.."... Trying to defuse the awkwardness, Rin added: "I.. think you might've tasted like apples.." Nope, that only seemed to make the conversation far more awkward.Clearing her throat, shaking her head, they probably ought to get back on track. Understanding the situation, Rin could not go asking Elise to do the same to Sophie. The girl seemed shaken up enough about having gone to Rin. "Y-yeah.. It's horrible to think one of our own could be behind this... but we probably have to pass that to someone else. There's too many victims for us to go around playing detectives too."

It was worrying that there would be someone among the students who had such nefarious intentions. However, for now her worry for Rin took priority over the worries haunting her. The missing water bottle, the overdose, it all pointed out to someone with ill intentions toward Rin.
I'm going to find the one who did this...
And then what? What use would it have? However, even more troubling was the negative emotions that were so unfamiliar to her, yet they were festering beneath her smile. At least as she talked about her quirk it seemed Rin was willing to listen to her request to keep it a secret, and so she began her explanation, soon receiving a rather unexpected response. "Y-You think so?" the girl stammered out in embarrassment at the honest praise the girl gave her, but still to describe it as her sweat and spit being able to heal and purify... "Most usually say it's an excuse for smooching someone..." The girl mumbled underneath her breath, not entirely pleased by the memory but she had other things to think about right now.
The sudden reach for her hair made Elise blink in confusion, the tender brush as their eyes locked together made Elise wonder what Rin had been thinking, but what followed was one of the things she didn't expect. No flustered or annoyed reaction to the kiss, instead Rin described the action as 'protecting her' and that it was one of the sweetest things anyone had ever done to her.
"I-I" she tried to stammer out, her heart threatening to beat out of her chest, a hand slowly reaching for her chest as if holding her hand there would help slow down the erratic pacing. Her cheeks flushed up almost as if she had a fever, and a certain joyous feeling spread through her. Rin had reacted positively, she had not even thought it was something as vile as taking advantage of her, something another person could have possibly done if they had been in her shoes. In the end a kiss, especially one on the lips was sacred.
She felt as if time came to a halt, her audial perception replaced entirely by the soft rhythmic beating of her heart. What was this feeling? This familiar feeling? It was just like when she felt at certain times around Tetsuko. Wait, surely it couldn't be similar, right? She was merely happy that Rin had reacted like this. Then why couldn't she deny the fact the kiss felt more pleasant than a saving attempt should have been? While she might have felt guilty, that guilt had quickly taken place for a warmth.
She was Rin's number one hero... the one who had saved her... Her power had allowed her to save Rin! "I... I'll gladly save you as often as needed!" The girl stammered out, for that was something friends would do, right? Friends, such a lovely but confusing thing. "A burger?" She asked, her mind briefly distracted at the thought of tasting someone's cooking, especially that of a cute girl like Rin, so her answer was obvious. "Mhmm! Once we finish our shift, let's eat together~" Elise answered with a bright smile.
But then the words came that hit her like a cannonball in the gut. Rin thought she tasted... like apples? Her cheeks instantly went from red to crimson as she fidgetted lightly on the spot, her breathing slightly faster as she answered the girl's attempt to defuse the situation with one that would make it explode. "I thought you were still unconscious back then! B-But, realizing you remember it..."
She paused for a moment, recalling a certain memory as a finger absently reached for her mouth, the digit running along her lips. "Hehe~ it makes me kind of happy."
Still, Rin had a point, a very good one: they were spread too thin to put substantial resources into playing detective, so the first thing she should do was ensure Rin's safety. "Rin, can you umm... tap blood properly? I would like you to tap a vial from me, we'll make it into a serum to be a safeguard if someone targets you again. Nobody will likely expect we have this, and I think my blood is potent enough to purify your body as long as you take it quickly enough."
She raised a hand to her cheek, tapping a finger against it as she mused softly. "Some artificial sweeteners and flavoring agents should make its flavor doable for you to handle, and it's a solid means to ensure you got some protection if I can't reach you."
She paused for a bit, thinking this might had been a logical course to take while she felt her face reddening again. "Rin I---" wait, what was she about to say?! Quickly shaking her head she smiled at the girl and continued "Am glad you're back~ Now let's finish up this stuff so we can get some burgers? I think I still got some imported apple juice~"
But what were those conflicting feelings in her heart?

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Elise was acting a little strangely, though Rin summised that such would be the case. Fearing the worst, yet receiving nothing but recognition. It was strange how much a helping hand could change in a life. The first time Rin had told anyone about her quirk, it had been a troubling experience aswell. Certain that, even at Yuuei, manipulating blood would be seen as a horrifying ability. An evil quirk. Instead, everyone had been saying how brave one had to be to utilize such a quirk. How magnificent it was, when helping others. They had been more worried about the side-effects that Rin suffered through, such as cutting herself, to draw any blood to utilize with her quirk. "If you were trying to go around just kissing people, I'm sure there'd be better opportunities and excuses... Besides, I feel a ton better, I don't see why you'd have lied to me." Rin said, matter of fact. There wasn't a single reason that she could think of, in which it made sense of Elise to go through all that trouble. Besides, the emotions burning in the girl's eyes seemed so genuine, that Rin hadn't even considered the possiblity until Elise herself brought it up. Looking at the table in front of her, it felt like she had just received a piece of a puzzle. A puzzle that could be finished, as soon as Rin could figure out how this final piece could fit...The next emotion which came over Elise, was also one Rin had traversed. After being successful once or twice, it was natural that one grew to like that feeling. The feeling of being recognized, needed, appreciated. So, one would automatically be drawn to repeating the same action. Fortunately, for Elise, that action seemed to be bringing people back onto their feet. Perhaps this feeling could even end up overshadowing her fear, letting Elise use her quirk to help people more freely, rather than fearing the complications that laid behind the quirk. "It's good to know I have someone watching out for me. Being alone with all of this..?" Rin gestured to the entirety of the infirmary, of which she was pseudo in charge of. "Would've been frightening. Having you around puts me a bit at ease." Nodding when Elise mentioned coming over for dinner, Rin shrugged. "I don't think we could do it today. I'm expecting spending most of my time at the infirmary, but, I'd happily cook you something an evening. I'm just a novice, but I can make some things real nice. If I am to say so myself, the burger was pretty good." An average cook at best. Although, cooking for others was always something Rin enjoyed. While growing up, it was often her cooking for the family. While she wasn't spectacular by any means, she could make simple means. It was when Elise finally spoke again, that things began falling into place. Elise's blood could be used as a serum? Blinking a few times, Rin was staring with her sapphire blue eyes, directly into Elise's. "Thats it! Thats how we can make more serum, you're a genius Elise-chan!!!" Excitement was in the air, as Rin carelessly hugged Elise, before immediately jottling down some notes. "..My blood can adjust to anyone's blood. If I could adjust it to yours, then... it should retain your purifying powers. I only need a few drops."..Rummaging through the drawers, Rin found a bit of cotton wool, plus a sedative. In another, she found a sterile syringe. Gesturing for Elise to hold out her arm, Rin would gently and carefully clean a patch of skin near the inside of her elbow. Padding, rubbing, Rin was making sure that it would be as painless for Elise as possible. If allowed, Rin would take a simple blood sample. Not at all enough blood to cause any issues for Elise. "Hold the cotton against the bleeding, it'll stop real fast... I'll go get some samples filled..." It was probably for the best that Elise did not see how much Rin was capable of bleeding. The girl was the worrying type. Seeing such amounts of blood... it could shock anyone......A few minutes passed in silence, with Rin in another room, behind the infirmary. Samples were being filled. A single drop of Elise's blood, rounded out with Rin's. For the moment, Rin simply kept going for as long as she could. The moment the raven haired female felt a little off, she stopped. Twenty four samples. Twenty four small dosages of serum to assist anyone who had gotten severely affected by the drugs. Naturally, such a small remedy could not c ure the entire school. Heck, the dosage could probably not cure even a single person. It would however, be enough to stabilize someone, make them feel more at ease. At least, that was Rin's theory. Walking out with the tray with samples, Rin placed them into the medical refrigerator. If Elise paid attention, she'd notice how Rin's eyes had seemingly lost color. They were no longer blue - they were purple... Pacing around the infirmary, Rin was pondering. How exactly would they convince anyone that taking a shot of blood was a good idea?

Hearing how Rin was glad to have her support? It sort of invigorated Elise, the knowledge that someone was depending on her being not entirely unpleasant. "Mhmm~ As long as we work together I'm sure we can discover a solution." The girl answered reassuringly, but the rush of motivation quickly diminished a little when Rin mentioned there would likely be no dinner tonight since the girl was planning to spend all her time at the infirmary. Dedicated to the point it could become dangerous, something Elise would soon point out. "Puuh~ Not even time for a snack..." The girl whined softly before smiling softly as she shook her head. "Well, you're partly correct Rin. It's good to be dedicated but don't overwork yourself, if you collapse from fatigue we're going to be even further from solving this than we were before."
She brought a hand to her chin as she pondered for a moment. "So let us work together in shifts~ This way I can at least make sure you're getting enough rest~" She suggested with a smile, although judging from her tone it seemed like declining the suggestion would be a bad idea.
The sudden excited exclamation Rin made as she embraced Elise in a joyous gesture had quickly brought that familiar color back to her cheeks, initially rather confused by the entire ordeal. "I am?" she mused in confusion as she waited to hear Rin out.
As Rin explained the usage of her blood to create what could be considered a blood bank full of replicas of her blood Elise did see the worth in the idea. It might not have been enough to serve as a preventive treatment, but it could be a cure for those affected, well as long as the dose wasn't too high.
After Rin tapped some of her blood, which left Elise to wince for a moment in discomfort she finally watched the girl depart to the nearby room, leaving Elise by herself to ponder for a moment as she pressed the cotton against her arm.
At least they were a bit closer, even if only just a step, but after all this, it was better than nothing. Nonetheless, as Rin returned with several samples of the serum, the way she obtained them leaving her slightly curious but as the girl was already musing on how to convince people to take the serum Elise turned to look at Rin, her eyes sharpening for a moment. "Hold on a moment Rin~" She stated, walking over to the girl as she tried to gently rest both her hands onto Rin's shoulders and peered into her eyes. "Please tell me something: Is there a reason your eyes change color? I mean both blue and purple suit you but... I got the feeling that you're a bit too quick on your feet~"
She smiled briefly as she patted the girl's shoulder. "Your shift is over for now, go and get a bit of rest, doctor's orders~" Elise hummed teasingly as she continued in an attempt to reassure her. "I'll figure out what we can do with the serum and will stay here on watch till you had the chance to rest."
