It had been a few weeks or so since she first visited the bakery down town, the redhead has made sure to visit and stock up on their freshly made sweets when she was too lazy to make her own. Having a big enough room and lots of space in her dorm proved useful for keeping things like her baking tools inside. You never know when you'll have some cravings for cake in the middle of the night and you have to believe Chise has had more than one of those kind of cravings living in the dorms.
The redhead decided today she would venture out around campus since classes were finished and she had completed all the work she needed to finish for the next couple days or so. The carrot top like to stay on top of her work, never liking to slack off and put assignments off until the last minute. She swore if she did something like that, she might just rip her hair out! Chise left her dorm room, making sure to lock it with her key before heading back outside and towards the school building. Perhaps there might be some clubs gathering today, she knew her club was not so she might look around to see what her fellow students were up to.
Chise walked outside her dorm building, feeling the cool breeze of the spring air flow through her orange locks, even rustling the comfy tank top she now wore. Chise was thankful the dorms were only a five minute walk from the school building, if they had been farther Chise might have tried picking up how to ride a bike again. The redhead soon arrived on campus in the exact time she had said, looking around but not noticing anyone jus yet. Perhaps they were all inside, so Chise ventured on into the school to see what sort of exciting things she might find waiting in the school after hours.

How long has it been since she had her job? How many jobs did she quit, or that she resigned from? How much money was she actually making? She had lived her own life, with few jobs between her. She was a secretary and maid at Ketsujo Corp, or perhaps assistant was more accurate. She was a personal tailor to the head of Robotiks Engineering. She was a janitor at UA Highschool, Yuuei. Right. That was what she was doing. She pushed the cart. The bin freshly lined with a new bag, papertowels for the bathroom staked behind it and a tower of toilet paper. The bin held her mop, but she did not have the cart for the mop, leaving her with a ... well not wet mop. She rolled around the school, getting the trash that was left over. She could get it done soon, besides the first floor was all she had left to do. She smiled and hummed to herself, her belly full of all of the things she found and discovered on the other floors. Only very little of the trash she found, was actually trash. The bin only held a single wrapper and a few broken pencils. It was going to be a short day, and after she would go home and rest before having to check in with the big bossman. ~ 228 ~

Chise stopped in the entrance hall and looked around but it hadn't seemed like anyone was in this area. Chise shrugged and went further into the school, up one flight of stairs and into the first floor hallway. She walked through the hall and glanced to her sides at the empty classrooms with their lights out, clearly indicating that no one was there since class time. Chise let out a soft sigh in defeat, but she couldn't just give up that easily! There had to be someone here who was doing something exciting. She just hasn't found them yet! Chise perked herself up and continued her walk through the hall. She rounded a few corners and walked up a few more hallways only to find the same thing as before: dark, empty classrooms.
Just when Chise thought she had given up looking on the first floor, she heard a faint sound in the air, as if someone were pushing a cart of sorts. Chise decided to follow the noise to see if it could perhaps be a student moving materials from one class to another class or a teacher moving books from their office to their classroom. Whoever it might be, Chise knew now that she was not alone. The carrot hair colored girl tried following the noise to get closer to it but it had seemed like she had walked the same hallway about three times now. She was certain she had seen that fake skeleton in room 108 before now and it wasn't just her imagination. Maybe trying to follow the noise was just getting her more lost in the process. Perhaps if she just waited, the noise would come to her instead. Good plan Chise, good plan! Chise softly chuckled and held her hand on her hips, mentally praising her for coming up with an ingenious idea.

. . . it was like that, right? She looked at it and hoped it was like that when she came in the room. The hinges were loose and the doors seemed to have trouble both opening and closing. Kasey would sigh, it wasn't in her job description to try and fix things. If she did, even if it helped, then the fixer-guy wouldn't have much to do. He needed a job too. That's why when she did finish early, on the days she did get a lot done, she sorted the trash. Most of the kids always seemed to toss out recycling, or still, was it only one student? She rolled the cart outside of the girl's bathroom and left it there, right outside of the door. It would be against the wall as the janitor stood out into the hall. She looked down the hall, to find a single girl standing there with her hands on her hips. "Strange", she thought. She looked familiar, but she could not tie a name to that figure. Was it someone her sister had mentioned? No, that orange hair color was familiar, but how? Ah, that was right, the cafe girl. "Chis-Rey!" she would call out. She wasn't really sure what her name was. ~ 212 ~

"Waah!" The redhead yelped, quickly turning around but loosing her footing in the process, resulting in the cheery girl landing on her bum on the cold hallway floor. Chise softly winced, rubbing her behind and trying to stay calm although she could already feel the heat rise to her cheeks. How clumsy could she be to fall while turning around. Quite pathetic it was. Chise looked up from the ground and spotted and oddly familiar blob of pink hair. As the stranger came closer, she could hear the noise once more, soon recognizing it as a cart of sorts. It was in that moment that the one whom she thought was a 'stranger' was actually the woman she had met at the café not too long ago.
"Ah Kas!" Chise said with a smile, soon getting up off the ground and dusting herself off before turning her attention back at the other. "How have you been? the other asked with a smile. "I see you got the job as the school janitor, it might be a little late but congratulations!" the violet eyed vixen said cheerfully. "Please tell me you didn't see my little slip up a moment ago, it was quite embarrassing," Chise said with a nervous chuckle, knowing the other probably did see the other fall. At least for now she wasn't laughing at the poofy haired girl's misfortune.

She would make her way towards her with the upmost curiosity. Would she be able to catch the one who threw away the recycling? As she turned around she would lose her balance and fall. Kasey had watched it all as she tried to get in closer, but would speak nothing of it. No one ever did like when you confirmed their misfortunes. She read that somewhere. The girl would get back up to greet her by name, to while Kasey would give a smile and a little wave in reply. "Thank you!" Kasey would say to her, "And what fall? Did you hurt yourself at practice?" Kasey watched the whole thing unfold, but figured it was better to assume it was something else. "I've been here a while, but really haven't talked to anyone lately. My sister got in too!"Sister was a subjective word. They weren't related, other than the fact they both referred to the same man as their father. Even he did not share blood with either of them, they simply chose him as their parent. Besides that, they met regularly and shared their knowledge. Kasey would tell stories of the great underground and all that went on, trying to keep her safe, while the other taught her things that weren't in books. Kasey learned about culture, as well as other things. ~ 226~

Chise was relieved that the other had not seen her mishap...or perhaps she didn't see it and didn't want to tell Chise that she did. No no, now was not the time to be paranoid over something small like that. Chise looked back to Kas, examining the car she pushed around as part of her janitorial duties. She noticed all the cleaning supplies as well as the extra stock of what appeared to be toilet paper and paper towels. She must have a lot of running around to do after hours, cleaning the hallways and possibly the classrooms, making sure the bathrooms are clean for the next day, etc. She greatly appreciated all the work the other did, knowing if she hadn't taken the position, it might have been open for quite some time. That was only a thought, however.
"Really?" Chise asked in response to Kas' comment about her time here at the school. "How long ago did we meet one another at the café? Did you get the job a little after we had met?" she asked to confirm her thoughts on the minor issue. She was quite shocked to hear the other had a sister that also went to this school, she didn't think she had met the girl yet though as no one in the school has pink hair...well besides the school nurse. "Oh really? I'll have to say hello to her if we ever cross paths and tell her I met you. What is her name?" the redhead inquired. Perhaps she has met her sister and didn't know it. "Does she look like you or are you two different? She's in the hero course I bet, well good for her!" the violet eyed lass said with a bright smile, quite happy about the other's achievements.

It was strange to be asked a question she didn't have an answer to. It felt like she should have known about the differences in the classes, after all, there were other rooms. But still, she had no idea what kind of course her sister had been apart of. "I think it was a day or two after. I had another student show me around and the principal hired me on the spot. I guess no one else had even applied." she spoke, fully knowing about how much she had to clean and catch up on in her first week on the job. But she wondered what to say about her sister. Was it okay to give a name? "I call her Vivi, I kinda forgot her whole name... I can't believe I'm drawing a blank." That girl looked nothing like her, but like her, her own name was lost to time. It was only the names they gave themselves. "She's not my twin, she's old. But she's my little sister, adopted I guess." was that the correct term? They were not related by blod, but bond. Their mentor, their father was the same man, were they not siblings in this manner? "She doesn't look like me at all, I do think she should dye her hair pink to match me though!" she would say it with a bit of laughter. To imagine that dark colored girl with even a bit of color was amusing. But Kasey knew she couldn't see. Was that why she stayed with grays and blacks? ~ 260~

The violet eyed lass listened to Kas speak about her getting the job, wondering who had shown her around the school. Perhaps she might know them. That was something to ask another time as it didn't seem all that important to the conversation. "Well, I'm glad you got the job. I might just be seeing you more around school!" the redhead girl said with a chuckle. The pinkette was quite nice and even if she didn't know her all too well, she still wanted to get to know the older female.
What were they talking about again? Oh yes, Kas' sister. "Vivi...I don't think I have heard of any Vivi's in the school," she said, perhaps if she knew the girl's real name she might have a better idea on if she had met her or not. "I-It's alright, I draw blanks with lots of things from time to time. It's just one of those moments," the peach haired girl said with a sheepish chuckle, hoping to lighten the mood a bit. "Oh adopted, it's nice that you have someone whom you can call a sister. I'm an only child, so I never knew what having siblings felt like," the curvy femme said, thinking of how her life might have changed if she had an older or even younger sibling. "What does she look like, if you don't mind me asking. Maybe a description of your sister would help me to see if I've run into her or not," Chise said with a smile.

No, it was fine to tell her. Kasey trusted the girl, there was no way a bit of talk could come back to do anything wrong. Even if Levi didn't do well with people, maybe this small bit would help her make some friends. "I haven't had siblings either, but our father takes care of us both." she would say, "She wears a lot of strange colors, she has a problem seeing what colors are. Sometimes I tell her something is green when it's blue and she doesn't figure it out until later." She droned off, not sure of what else to share. "What kinds of things are you studying?" She would ask. Maybe it was wrong to take time out of her day to talk with some students, but as long as it wasn't too often, perhaps it was okay. It wasn't like things weren't getting cleaned, she couldn't clean the whole school every day. She at least took out everyone's trash after lunchtime and later on to make sure it didn't overfill. And on other days she would wax the floor or clean the dorms. It was all part of her routine, and every day she had a new adventure to figure out, and well... clean. ~ 208~

Chise stood and listened, it was only fair to since she was the one that asked the question. She didn't quite know how adoptive parents works but it didn't seem that different compared to a normal parent. They just aren't related by blood. "It's still good that he takes care of you. You could have ended up worse than how you are now, thank the heavens that's not the case," the redhead said with a small smile. Knowing that her friend was well and taken care of made Chise happy in return. Now back to the main matter at hand, figuring out if Chise knew Kas's sister or not.
Mismatched clothing? Strange colors? "Is she colorblind?" Chise asked, thinking that was the only real reason for color confusion unless the other really didn't know anything about complimenting colors when it came to appearance. "She must have a rough time with it, not being able to make out colors properly," Chise said with a small smile, it must be difficult seeing the world through a slightly messed up lens compared to how everyone else views the world.
What was she studying? Chise thought for a moment before responding to Kas's question. "Well, at the moment nothing too big, just your usual high school curriculum with math, science, English, history. We are also learning about quirks and quirk techniques, that's pretty interesting in my opinion. We get to hear about all sorts of quirks thus far recorded down. I'm not one for history but I don't mind learning the history of quirks," the bubbly blonde said to the rosette haired woman.

Taking care, in her book, meant to kill and clean up. Something the school janitor had taken to preforming far too often. She was no murderer. Was it really murder, to avenge those that killed others? No, it was redemption, justice. She was a vigilante in her own eyes, even if no one else saw it. But no one could ever see it. Her own act of hiding and leaving others behind was known to her alone. She knew the blind spots. She knew where the cameras were. No one knew that she had killed hundreds, if not thousands of men, and simply erased all evidence that they even existed. Her own disposal for her employer was rare, perhaps every so often. He knew what she was capable, but never in the volume she preformed. To assume anyone could care for such a monster was a leap. That man was nothing more than a storyteller, her inspiration. Light did not shine without the darkness. And if she could become the only evil, then no one else could rise, and heroes would always reign. It was her control, it was what she wanted. Because no one would ever suffer again. "I think she's color blind, but I don't think it's like the normal one. I think she sees in black and white. She calls everything gray until I tell her what color it is, then she can see it."Quirks and their history. Usage, exposure. So that's what the school taught. They collected data and told the students the same information. "That could be useful, you must already be on the road to being a hero then! You can fight all kinds of bad guys if you already know of how their quirk works."How a quirk works. The secret of it, would appear to be the source of power. The less people knew about it, the less they could do. How could anyone expect to see such a sweet girl harness such a monster inside of her. Oh, and Setsuna. He was there too. ~ 344~

Chise had heard there were different types of colorblindness, such as red-green colorblindness, yellow-blue colorblindness, even those that see the world through a monochrome lens, no color at all. Perhaps what Kas's sister has is complete color blindness. Chise felt a bit bad for her, not being able to see her surroundings clearly just as others could. Not being able to take in the blue sunny sky or the pretty shades of reds and pinks the cherry blossoms were in; she couldn't see any of it in color. Although if you have colorblindness, you shouldn't be able to see color at all, whereas Kas said that her sister sees color whenever Kas tells her what color something is. This was a world full of quirks so something like that is bound to happen to even the most basic of diseases. Perhaps her colorblindness is related to her quirk in a way...if she has one that is.
The violet eyed girl nodded in response to Kas's comment about the knowledge of quirks being useful. Sure they were learning what some quirks were, they couldn't possibly cover what all known quirks were, there were simply too many to take into account and the ever changing aspects they possess. What they did learn, however, would definitely help them in the near future if they should ever come across someone with a quirk they had learned about. The fighting aspect, on the other hand, was something that Chise lacked. A nervous chuckle left the lips of the red-haired teen as she thought about her physical strength. "It is definitely good knowledge to have, although my quirk isn't really suitable for fighting. It's more of a...how would you put it...'behind the scenes' kind of quirk," Chise explained without going into full detail of what her quirk was. If Kas was interested, she would tell her what quirk she possessed, otherwise she would keep it to herself.

Anyone was capable of being a hero. Anyone, and everyone. Not all heroes fought on the front lines, some were the ones in the darkness, the spies and secret agents. Not everyone could share the spotlight, but it didn't matter when you were on the team that was saving the world. "Well I'm glad you're doing well!" Kasey would say, actually pleased to hear that everything was going well for her. She hadn't asked about the girl's quirk, finding that if someone wanted to talk about something they would simply bring it up. She would never pry, and thus, would not do so now. "You can still be a hero, no matter what quirk you have. Sure emitters have it easy to figure out how to use it for good, mutation people like me just have to be a little more creative." Transformations were always the most tricky, but in the cases she was a part of, they were also the most straight forward. Maybe she could learn her place in a world of heroes soon enough. She just has to find somewhere where her quirk would shine the brightest. Everyone deserves a chance to be a hero. Even girl with pink hair who would eventually come to ruin a silver haired man's life. Everyone had a chance. ~ 218~

The feeling was mutual, both were happy to hear that the other was doing well, whether that be doing good with work or doing good in school. The redhead listened as the pink haired girl explained that she could still be a hero and that she didn't need to be on the frontlines to be a hero. It didn't matter that her quirk was weak, she could still train to become a hero just as she had been doing. Hearing that little boost of confidence renewed Chise's dream of becoming a hero. "Y-Yeah, I have an emitter quirk myself. Although it may seem easy in hindsight, it's a bit difficult for me to use," the girl began to say. She didn't see there being any problem with sharing her quirk, it's not like could do anything anyway.
"My quirk allows me to copy the voice of any person through means of lip contact. Essentially...I have to kiss the person to be able to copy their voice. It's...a bit embarrassing for me to use and I don't like forcing people to be my test subjects just so I can test out my quirk," the violet eyed girl admitted. She liked her quirk, sure, but if only there were a way to make it less embarrassing for her to use. "I-It's kind of a silly quirk.." she said with a sheepish smile.
