And there it was. Akagai’s arch nemesis, the remedial lesson. It was here already to take him to the hell that only fellow imbeciles knew of. This as you could imagine was far from Akagai’s first rodeo in regards to ‘staying after school’ or ‘come in for the summer’ shenanigans educator’s often revelled in pulling. Once brought up, it undoubtedly always meant the boy was unsatisfactory and needed to spend more time on a certain subject. This time, the subject was using his quirk. Akagai was still one of the new kids in UA. It was embarrassing to know that he was already performing poorly in comparison to the rest of those in the heroics course. And then there was this Rin girl, who was the class rep and his tutor. She must have been some sort of privilege to be able to reserve a whole arcade for a day. Rich kids were usually smarter than the general commoners like him. They could go to fancy private schools that offered better education. Where as Akagai was force to go to public schools riddled with bullies. Akagai couldn’t help but wonder if Rin even cared about training him. Would this have meant anything to her? Not nearly as much as it did to him. He was already taking advantage of the schools open gym policy, staying after class to weight lift and exercise in general. What did she do? Sign papers, or did she even pass that off to the vice rep? “Hmph,” sounded the mohawk dreaded teen. He made it to the training field they were assigned to practice in. This area was one of UA’s numerous combat/rescue grounds. It was a essentially a real forest setting with UA gates squaring it off as their own. Inhabiting the lush forestry were actual wild life. “She’s not now even here yet.”Plopping down to the ground, Akagai took a breath before taking off his shirt. The boy wore the usual UA gym uniform, but since they were training, and he usually trained in less clothing, it was more comfortable for him to be topless. As he waited, he decided to play a song with his arm. "" he sang out in his best falsetto, which ended up cracking slightly.

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy There were many things that could be said about the raven haired female. Priviledged was one of the last things, though in recent times, things had certainly taken a positive turn for the young girl. Having finally gotten out of a toxic home had probably caused the biggest shift. Having found a relatively workable job within a maid café, Rin was also finally earning some money that she could spend on herself. Now even Yuuei was offering her a little extra as long as she was willing to tutor some of the late students. Transfers and what not. The raven haired female had figured that it w as due to her excellent grades when it came to simple, mundane classes; Math, geography and the like. Instead, the first task that awaited her, was tutoring someone in the usage of their quirk. Initially, it had sounded like some kind of cruel joke. Yet, this had become reality. For someone to require Rin's assistance with a quirk, they had to have lacked behind significantly. Either that, or the instructors at Yuuei valued their teachings enough to believe a few months would've put anyone significantly ahead an average Joe. Having received a little document, Rin had come up with a decent idea for training the quirk of Akagai-san. That is exactly why Rin wasn't in place significantly ahead of time. Courses and classes simply didn't allow her to prepare the setup ahead of time.On essentially a trolley, Rin was bringing a few different things. The first was boxing equipment, specifically to soak up some damage from blows to the body and head. Having a little bit of a sparring session seemed appropriate, if Rin was going to accurately deduct how competent Akagai-san was at using his quirk. The other things brought, were all standard training equipment for different sports. There were two targets used for archery practice; Simple circles with legs to estimate quirk precision. There was a soft foamy dummy to practice constricting a target. It could also be used to test the damage Akagai-kun was capable of inflicting. The remaining items were simple safety equipment. Foam gloves to receive kicks and such. There were quite a few things brought along by Rin."Akagai-san. Apologies, I should've been here first..." Rin said in a soft tone, bowing her head apologetically. There wasn't any kind of attitude or atmosphere around her of being better than him. There was nothing indicating that she underestimated him or thought of him as weak for needing remedial type lessons. To the raven haired female, it was a priviledge getting to assist her classmates improving. Parking the trolley and locking it's wheels, so it wouldn't begin rolling away from here, Rin began tossing him a few of the safety things for boxing. "...I was thinking we'd be starting with a bit of sparring.. Just so I can better tailor the rest of our time together, rather than wasting your time."Rin was wearing the trek uniform of Yuuei. It was in pristine condition, as with everything else. Around her waist, the girl wore a belt with a medical type bag attached to it. Inside, the girl had several different tools. Scalpels, syringes, some gauze and pain killers. It had been a gift from Maximilian. A gift that the raven haired female was most appreciative of. Now it was just a matter of sticking to studying medicine, and she'd have all the tools she'd ever need to work out in the field. "Would that work for you?"

Meanwhile, within the small makeshift forest, fists collided with a series of thin wooden tiles suspended from low branches via rope threaded through holes in their tops. It was Nick Cross who had created this training area for himself. Not even his usual hangouts of the library and book shop had offered him any peace, so here he was, pushing his un-Quirked body to its limit with a whirlwind flurry of punches and kicks.
The training area was one where he expected no one else to be at this time, hence why he had chosen it. The less disturbance, the better. The possibility of encountering wildlife did not bother him, as he doubted the school would be foolish enough to house any legitimately dangerous animals on their grounds. His school shirt, jacket and tie were off and folded up neatly by a tree behind him. The last of his targets shattered. He took a step back, his breaths deep and heavy as thick beads of sweat crawled down his bare skin.
Once again, the image of Rin Kurama flashed into his mind’s eye.
He grit his teeth. For some reason, that girl would not leave his mind alone. Every waking moment, she was there. Her face was the last thing he saw before he closed his eyes at night. Her stupid, irritating face.
She kept besting him. First when she was voted Class President over him, then worst of all by beating him in that damn bomb diffusion exercise. He, who was never supposed to be bested by anyone. The rage-fuelled hit he had gotten on her in the dying moments of the bomb exercise meant little to him, as her team had still won, and he realised now that distracting and exhausting him had likely been her intention. He hated to admit it, balked at it, but she truly had proven herself to be more intelligent and capable than he had first given her credit for. He had thought her nothing, but there was something to her after all.
And he despised it. He would crush her, that he vowed, no matter what. The next time they met in a combat scenario, she would not escape him. She would be forced to show him the full extent of her Quirk, and he would find out exactly why she was so secretive of it. He would break her down and make her admit he had beaten her.
As he was, he let out a long sigh.
“Why can’t I stop thinking about her?” he grumbled to himself.
It probably did not help that fate seemed determined to keep bringing them together.

Pitter patter breached Akagai music. As he played, the constant thumps of distant tapping knocked him off key. Though, in all honesty, he wasn't the best singer nor the best player. He was already pretty off key. His falsetto was starting to take a turn for the worst, going for a slight crack to a croak. But as the faint sound pooled in and messed him up even further, he quickly came to a rapid halt. A woodpecker, he guessed internally. That was his hypothesis, but he wasn’t sure. The boy wasn’t even certain if he ever seen a woodpecker around Mustafusu before, let alone heard one enough to identify it’s sound. Though wrong, Akagai was still fairly certain the sound he was hearing was some sort of animal at the very least. Before he could pay the intruding sound any more mind, Rin made her appearance with quite the bit of equipment. Gloves, targets, a foam dummy, other miscellaneous materials, you name it. She seem well prepared with everything on a trolley. Perhaps he was inaccurate with his assessment on Rin and she did take this seriously. Maybe, just maybe, she took this just as seriously as him. Could this end up being the real deal? Actual extensive training that wasn’t a pity party on the poor new kid? Could be. “Oh, uh, well,” Akagai began to say as Rin bowed in apology for being late. “It’s alright, I guess. Just don’t do it again. It’s annoying.”Just like at her birthday party, or any other time someone ever made an effort to be nice to Akagai, he grew flustered. As he spoke, the boy looked away and laughed a nervous chuckle while scratching the back of his head. The teen was so tsundere that it hurt. Peeping his eyes back onto Rin, he saw her toss the gloves at him, to which he fumbled and barely caught, how embarrassing. “A spar?” Akagai reiterated. “I mean, sure, if you think you can handle these guns.” The topless boy lips split apart into an uneasy smile while his eyes remained lax and smug. As you could probably imagine, Akagai moved both the gloves to be held by one hand and with his free arm, he flexed. He barely had any muscle, but going to the gym regularly did seem to pay off. He was growing something, finally. Though, on a serious note, Akagai wondered how Rin would fair against him. Boy, girl, or other, the teen didn't care. If it was time to whoop some ass, then it was time to whoop some ass. Rin however, didn't look quite like a close quarters combatant. At least, not as experienced as him. He actively pursued his discipline and crafted it from scratch. Though far from complete, it was likely better than whatever nonsense Rin could muster up. And then, there were the issue of the gloves. If he went all out, he couldn't use his fist, only his feet. His arms would have been busy charming his creations. Which brought up another question. How were they going to get blood? U.A. did assign them to a forest location of all places. Did they seriously expect them to slaughter the wildlife here for training purposes? Subconsciously, Akagai shook his head slightly. He had so many thoughts, concerns, doubts. He wasn't sure what to think. Overall, he was still stressed out over the idea of having to take remedial lessons. It was frustrating.

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Rin raised an eyebrow, viewing Akagai from a bit of an angle. The way he was behaving certainly didn't seem very Japanese from design. Perhaps he, like so many others, had come to Yuuei from a different region. Shaking her head softly from side to side, so minutely that he'd hardly notice, Rin decided that the commotion that'd come with requesting he be more respectful, would ultimately be more of a detriment than a boon. At least if he was going to react to her request the same way he was reacting to her, almost punctual appearance at the training field. Grasping more of the training equipment, Rin walked over to Akagai with it. Specifically, the vest to protect his torso and abdomen from impact, plus shin and elbow protectors. "Here, let me get you strapped in, Akagai-san" Rin was assuming Akagai hadn't worked with such equipment before. On the offchance that he had, of course he knew that getting assistance with the equipment was much easier - and looked a whole lot less awkward - than if he was to try and get it attached by himself. The fact that he was getting strapped in, when he had been walking around topless and flexing his muscles, or lack thereof, was quite ironic in many ways. Either case, it bothered Rin none. There were quite a few special personalities here at Yuuei. One more or less wouldn't change her approach. "...To be quite honest, I think they picked me to be your training partner out of quirk compatibility , rather than strength. At least, I think there are several here at Yuuei that outperform me." Rin explained in a calm tone, as she walked around Akagai, making sure all the protective equipment was in place.
Upon having finished, Rin then quietly walked back to the trolley. Already wearing a vest underneath the Yuuei treksuit, Rin very quickly got on a pair of gloves, elbow and shin protectors too. With that all done and out of the way, it had become time to truly introduce him to the remedial lesson. "Right. So, I know a little about your quirk Akagai-san. A quirk that'd, under normal circumstances, require Yuuei to acquire bloodbags to practice. Fortunately, that will not be neccesary." Slipping her fingers into the medical bag at her waist, Rin withdrew a scalpel. Having followed Sophie's suggestions, plus reading up on the subject, she had found a few different methods of drawing blood without continually cutting her own wrist. Specifically, there was a point on the inside of the elbow that could be used much more effectively. Pricking a hole in her right elbow, because of the sheer sharpness of the clinically clean scalpel, she hardly felt any pain in the process. "My quirk allows me to generate more blood than a regular person. I can also control my own blood freely."The red, sticky substance ran down her arm, almost making it seem like the pressure within Rin's body was significantly higher than a normal humans. Groaning softly, the sensation of bleeding was still unpleasant, though with recent developments, it was less bad than it had been. Perhaps continued usage eventually got one used to it. With her left hand, she grabbed a small bucket. Bleeding about a liter into it, the bleeding seemed to stop on itself. The sheer calm of her during this, as if this was everyday practice for her, might've been surreal to some. Just a few months ago, Rin would've refused showing anyone her quirk, even going so far as to lie about it. Recently however, specifically during the happenings at the festival, Rin had come more to terms with herself... "Is this enough, or do you need more?.. I do need some for myself, you see.." For a regular person, having just bled a liter of blood into a bucket would've left them lightheaded, potentially unable to really move without the risk of fainting. Rin, on the other hand, seemed to be perfectly okay.
Offering him a soft smile, with how quickly Rin had explained her quirk, offered him some blood, and gotten herself ready for the sparring, it was quite likely he'd be ever so slightly shellshocked. Meanwhile, Rin was unaware that Nick was nearby...

Nick had no more targets to break, so he supposed there was little else he could do here. He went over to his clothes. He almost could not be bothered to put them back on, but he did not want to go about shirtless like some kind of troglodyte. The weather was not quite hot enough, for starters.
As he dressed again, his heartbeat steadied, his adrenaline came down and he slowly but surely tuned back into the wider world around him. He could swear he heard voices. Somewhat familiar voices. One of them sounded a lot like hers…
His teeth clenched in a terrifying grimace that could have frightened away a rampaging rhinoceros. Every muscle in his body became taut. Could he not go a single week, a single day, a single hour without crossing paths with her? Why was she even here? Classes were over for the day. Unless she was here to train also? Which meant there was an opportunity here for him to finally see what her Quirk was capable of.
His anger died down at this realisation almost as suddenly as it had exploded into life. Unable to resist such a golden opportunity, he crept as quietly as possible through the foliage in the direction of the voices. This time he would see what she could do. He would make a note of every move she made. Then, when the time came, he would challenge her again and prove that he was not weaker than her once and for all.
He would remain hidden in the growth as he spied for the time being, however. No need to reveal himself just yet, or at all.

Blood was an allure that Akagai didn’t recognize that he had. Likewise, he didn’t recognize Rin’s bewilderment. Indeed the boy wasn’t very Japanese even though he was born and raised in Japan. The justification for this was that his father was an American. With an American as his head of household, he was practically raised American. Though naturally, a lot of Japanese influences made its way into his everyday life. It was debatable whether his American tongue was better than his Japanese. He didn’t have an accent, though maybe if he did, that might have been an enticing feature of the boy. Whenever someone entered Akagai’s personal space, it was always awkward. The first thing that always came to mind was whether he wanted them there or not. And usually, that came with a spontaneous assessment within his subconscious on whether or not he liked the individual. Rin was the one in question today, and the assessment concluded with her being pretty damn cute. And as creepy as it may be, she smelled like... girl. Which was... tantalizing? Emotions were complicated. The resolution to whether he wanted Rin next to him was at the very least an I don’t mind.Words began to fumble out of Akagai’s mouth in response to Rin’s notification, “Oh, uh, ah, yeah, okay… that’d be okay... S-Suit me up!”Sumimura was probably the only girl he was ever this close to aside from his mother. Sumi was a teen the same age as him with an amazing quirk. Her right index nail was essentially a tattoo gun, and whatever color her index nail was painted, was the color the ink was. The only reason she managed to get this close to he was because of her quirk. He had her ink his Kill the Snake tattoo across his left wrist vein. Something he wasn’t embarrassed about, though, he did hope Rin failed to eventually comment on it. Overall, Akagai was glad to have Rin’s aid. He had never used such equipment before. Her initiative to just come out and assist was much appreciated. “Probably not me,” Akagai admitted. He wasn’t particularly great at anything aside from running his mouth and his grades proved it quite well. He had no doubt that the class rep of all 1-A peers was exceeding him academically. Finished, Rin returned to the trolley. Akagai nodded as she spoke. She was absolutely right. They would need some sort of blood. He was glad to know blood bags could have been an option instead of slaughtering the innocent inhabitants of the forest. Though he was a bit confused on how blood wasn’t going to be necessary until Rin eventually answered his question before he could even present his inquiry. “Whoa,” Akagai uttered, his head a skewed ever so slightly and eyes broadened with awe. He approved of Rin’s quirk. In fact, Akagai was frustrated with himself for not knowing she was a fellow blood user like him sooner. She was his classmate after all. He was so self-centered that he actually didn’t notice. But this… this was amazing! The only other blood user he ever knew was his mother. They were like a rare commodity he imagined. Immediately it seemed like a thin stream of blood leaked down Rin’s arm, to which the corner of Akagai’s lips curled up into a lip-chewing grin. It was a smile the boy never actually crafted before. He wasn’t quite sure what compelled him to bite his lip. He was just so enthralled with Rin’s crimson delight. A small stream of his blood began to leak from his right nostril. He then caught it right as it began to show. Looking at his hand after, he saw his crimson delight. It wasn't as... compelling. He then looked back up to Rin. “No, no, that’ll be enough,” Akagai said calmly, his nerves at ease; yet his stomach fluttered and heart raced. “A liter is like what? Two fluid ounces… or was it two pints? Either way, one pint or ounce for each ought to be fine for now.”Again, Akagai wasn’t quite sure what came over him. But he felt a soothing fondness for Rin all of a sudden. In return to Rin’s smile, he gave a friendly nod. Everything seemed… right? The damn woodpecker stopped making noise and a pretty girl was here to exchange blood with him through combat. What else could a guy ask for? Though… …was it strange that he found Rin's blood to be so alluring?

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy With the two of them appropriately strapped in, wearing their defensive and protective outfit, Rin simply awaited confirmation from Akagai that things were fair on his end. With his notion of measurements, Rin simply lifted an eyebrow. The fact that he was considering ounces or pints made it exceedingly clear where most of his attitude had come from. America. As far as Rin was aware, America was the only country in the world at this point, who relied on the imperial system instead of the metric. Scratching her head, the girl simply admitted that she wasn't sure how litres converted to either of those measurements. "I've not got the slightest clue, Akagai-san. Conversion rates are so rarely used." Shrugging to him, it seemed everything was prepared properly for the two of them to have a quick little spar. Rin was not feeling confident. Of course the girl had some practice and experience beyond what she expected Akagai-san to have. Months at Yuuei had certainly made a difference, but.. Rin couldn't help but feel, that when she had arrived here, she was several months behind. At best, she was hoping for a reasonably level playing field, so she wouldn't have to embarass herself in front of a newbie. "Anywho, lets begin the sparring."The wound bled more, granting Rin some blood to utilize as a weapon against Akagai. Perhaps because the girl underestimated herself, or perhaps because she overestimated Akagai, the first shot she fired held nothing back, at all. The blood took the shape of and size of her own clenched fist, launched at him with speeds surpassing professional baseball throws, at a range where dodging any object at such speed took reaction and skill. The fist itself was tough, dense. Like a clump of bronze launched from an ineffective cannon. If Rin managed to strike cleanly, it would hit him upper torso, likely knocking the boy on the feet. Should Rin have inexplicably missed, the girl would do her best to recall the orb of blood to her side, regaining control of her only weaponIf Rin had knocked Akagai on his behind, she would stand still, a little confused, a little worried. Halting any and all attacks, w aiting to see if he was okay. Should Akagai give indication of being wounded or hurt, the girl would rush over to assist him. Hopefully, the protective gear would protect him from any significant damage.

Nick watched from a little way back crouched amongst the growth, as still as a statue so as not to give himself away. There she was, Rin Kurama, the oh-so-perfect and wonderful class president who could do no wrong. The sight of her alone made something inside him – he was unsure how to describe it. He did not want to say ‘flutter’, because that was just absurd, and it was a much angrier sensation than that.
Nick quickly dismissed any further thoughts about the feeling and focused on the matter at hand. With Rin was a guy Nick recognised from class but could not say much of. He was one of the new additions to Class 1-A, ‘Akagai’ or something. Nick knew little about him beyond his name.
What exactly was going on here? Nick wondered for a moment if the teachers knew about this, but then he realised of course they would; as if the so very noble Rin would ever do anything to defy their expectations. Whatever was happening would undoubtedly have been arranged by Yuuei’s staff.
Nick’s eyes narrowed with curiosity as Rin fetched the blood bags. He knew her Quirk involved blood, but would she really need so many, unless – yes, they both must have had blood-based Quirks. That would explain what was going on here, then. Rin must have been selected to show the new guy the ropes because of her similar abilities.
He watched Rin cut her arm and involuntarily ran his tongue across his lips. How he would love to tear more wounds into her and watch the blood trail down her soft skin, and then make her squirm even more by licking it up…
He got a bit distracted by those thoughts and only came back to reality when his gaze drifted to Akagai and he saw the way he was looking at Rin. Nick was not sure what to make of it; all he knew was that he did not like it. The growth on his back twitched as if beckoning him to charge out of there and punch Akagai in the face. He so very nearly gave into it.
He managed to hold himself back for the time being, however, and watched them get into their training gear. A spar, then? Excellent. Now he really would see what Rin could do. He was rewarded by the dazzling sight of her forming her blood into a fist and launching it straight at Akagai. Again came that fluttering feeling, and he swore it was stronger…

Foul in the first inning, what a way to start a game. The pitch thumped Akagai backward onto this rump. Struck in his chest, he felt little pain, only a struggle to regain his breath. What actually hurt was his bottom. At least lush forestry was there to cushion his fall to some degree rather than rough concrete pavement. The youngster was thankful for that. With his tumble came a bit of an awakening. He was still very much interested in Rin, but his infatuation faded for the time being. He had to fight now. As he sat there, his smile turned sinister as his left hand reached over to the strings of his right forearm and began to play an abrupt, chaotic starting chord made specifically to build adrenaline, or in other words, to build hype. “No, now we start...” Began to howl Akagai as he rolled back, then with a swift reversal of movement he hopped onto his feet. “...with a surprise attack!”Akagai finished his roar with his tongue hanging loosely out of his mouth. As he shook his head, his tongue flailed side to side like a mad dog. This was not a taunt, nor a perversion. It was simply a taste of the many different flavors of rockstar that possessed him. For the time being, the metal head persona had full control. It was the wildest rocker of the bunch, hence his stance. Even though his arms were occupied with playing music, his body language made it known that he was ready for close quarter action. His overall body was in a crouch with his legs spread far apart and torso leaned forward in anticipation for a pounce. As for the surprise attack Akagai referenced to, a snake would take shape from inside the bucket Rin bled into. This snake lunging only it’s head out of the bucket in an effort to bite Rin’s waist from whichever side was closest to the bucket. Whether or not she was able to invade the snake didn’t stop the true surprise though. One that Akagai didn’t reveal with his shout. From the body of the snake, another would form and launch up at Rin’s forearm. Whichever one was closest to the bucket once again. Normally at this point, Akagai would rush in to deliver a kick midst the thick of things, but he didn’t want to strain himself. Although he remained expressive with his metal dog routine, his breath wasn’t fully regained yet. There was a grimace on the boy’s face, and it wasn’t for show, he was hurt, but it was nothing too bad. He experienced worst before. He was just going to take it easy and not make his glutes sorer than they need to be with immediate movement. And the same went for losing his breath.

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Akagai-san had been knocked completely on his rear. It had taken Rin a bit by surprise, in all honesty. However, seeing how quickly he rebounded, it made a little more sense to the raven haired maiden. Akagai-san had simply been caught off guard. The attack obviously hadn't caused much damage. Strangely, the girl wasn't lamenting in her own weakness. In this moment, she was fortunate that she hadn't hit him hard enough to cause any serious injury. Sighing in relief, that sentiment was very quickly replaced with curiosity, as Akagai announced his sneak attack. Rin felt like explaining to him how sneak-attacks shouldn't be announced, but she hadn't the heart to crush his idea. The awkwardness of the sneak attack only increased, as Akagai-san began playing an instrument that seemed... strangely attached to him. Tilting her head sideways curiously, Rin immediately felt it. How some other force was influencing the blood in the bucket. Normally, the girl could sense when her blood hardened, when it moved. It was how she controlled it from place to place. Now that it was moving through other means, it almost sent a shiver down her spine. For whatever reason, it felt unnatural. Almost creepy... The fist of blood had returned to an orb like state, hovering besides Rin. As the blood snakes which Akagai had conjured up sprang out of the bucket in an attempt to attack her, Rin reacted instinctively. The orb of blood stretched itself thin, essentially turning into a shield. Focussing her will, Rin hardened her blood, preparing for the impact... but it never came.Without having intended it, the girl had hardened the snakes as well. They were made of her blood, and while Rin was fairly decent with her quirk, it took more focus for her to differentiate between the blood used by Akagai-san, and the blood she used herself. As a result, the snake closest to her had melded with her shield, Rin having wrestled control from Akagai the moment the blood was closer to her than him. The snake furthest from her, was simply frozen in place - as if the living snake had been encased in metal, hardened like a statue - immovable. Immediately realizing the mistake, Rin began explaining what had happened."M-my apologies! I.. It seems my control isn't where it needs to be, for me to not affect the blood you turned into snakes..." Bowing herself slightly forwards, tilting her head towards the ground, she offered Akagai her sinceret apology. Meanwhile, her mind was racing to try and find a better way for the two of them to practice. All the girl could come up with, was helping him hit the target dummy. Make sure he used his quirk... "M-maybe hitting the training dummy with your snakes is a, uh, better idea." There was something else making Rin feel a little uncomfortable about it all. For whatever reason, she could not shake the feeling that she was being watched. Looking around, her instincts were on alert, though she couldn't figure out what had triggered this sensation...

Nick’s theory about them both having blood Quirks was proven correct before his eyes. Snakes of blood? That was a Quirk unlike any he had seen before. The Gifted Underground would definitely need to hear of this one. Since that Miku girl had almost found him out Nick had limited his contact with them, only deciding to get in touch to tell them of things at Yuuei he found especially notable, and this Quirk was up there in his eyes.
Nick’s interest and fascination with the Quirk did not translate to its user, however. For reasons Nick could not understand, Akagai bothered him. Most people bothered Nick simply by existing, but this was a special kind of bother. Maybe it was the way Akagai looked at Rin. Maybe it was the way he moved his tongue around. Maybe it was just the damn row he was making with the strange string mutation on his arm.
Either way, Nick could not let this lie. It was time Akagai got a real introduction to Class 1-A. That, and more importantly, Nick wanted him to stop looking at Rin that way. Nick was not even sure what kind of way it was, just that he hated it so.
This ends now, Nick thought to himself.
He exploded from the undergrowth like a man possessed. For once, his target was not Rin, but Akagai. He launched himself into a surprise flying kick, averagely executed, though he did not transform himself. Not yet.
“Can I play?” he cried with a wicked grin, regardless of whether he made contact or not.
