How about you move in with me?
The tension in the atmosphere was released. The held breath from Rin was released in a short sigh, her shoulders lowering, the scratching of her own hand ceasing. It was like twisting a valve and having all the steam pressure evaporate. Rin turned, looking into Jasmine's eyes with a curious expression. It seemed Rin had initially wanted to state something like; I couldn't move in here. I'd be imposing on you. However, those words never left her lips. Jasmine had offered the kindness in such a vulnerable, gentle manner. This behavior so unlike what Rin had expected of the stronger blonde. The image of a female knight, always fighting while hiding her wounds under her armor, shattered. The curious, blank expression soon had a singular tear run from Rin's left eye, down over her cheek. Then, in such fluid and slow movements that they seemed almost inhuman, Rin tilted her head slightly to the side, as a smile so warm and compassionate that it could've started a bonfire, Rin gave her answer.
"If you're fine with sharing this amazing room... I think that... I know I'd love to move in." Rin had spoken what had come to mind. The girl hadn't bothered to think of the consequences, what moving in here would mean on the bottomline. For the first time in forever, the girl had allowed herself to place herself first. Listening to her own desire, rather than placing anyone in front of herself. Moving in with a caring and awesome roommate, in an as awesome room... The thought of saying goodbye to her current bedroom, where everything was grey and dull.. It was both melancholic and fantastic. It was the end of a chapter - but the beginning of a new. With every step Rin took forward as a person, there was another outstretched hand, prepared to pull her further. Rubbing her eyes, Rin was doing her best to hide the near silent sobs, as she made her way to the door... Tomorrow. Perhaps already tomorrow, she could move in here... The excitement was burning inside.
"...I'm lucky... To have you as a friend, I mean.. Thank you, Jasmine-chan." With those few words, Rin was gone from the door. Sharing those words had clearly been difficult for her. Difficult enough that standing around and waiting for Jasmine's reply wasn't going to happen. If they were to be roommates, there'd be several opportunities for them to catch up in the very near future.
