UA culture festival Sign up / Event registration!

The U.A. Culture Festival!

So, as most of you know, Japanese high schools generally have whats called a Culture Festival around October/November, which is usually a bunch of school-run stalls, events and decorations that invite the public to come in and see whats going on around the school. Usually it's used for fundraising for clubs and for the school in general but for the most part it's a community event.

This Mini-event is staff pre-approved and will be taking place after the current political riots event. Time wise school lockdown has ended, and anyone is allowed to participate in the event. If you hope to use a villain or vigilante however, bare in mind you will be on UA campus. You must have a valid disguise, civilian identity, and generally, MUST behave. This is a fun, social mini-event, and there is no desire or intention for this to become something dramatic and sneaky. You wanna sneak onto UA to steal student records, do it on your own time, we won't be tolerating that.

Do bare in mind of course the event is still majorly aimed towards students and faculty. Students and Faculty will be allowed to run / manage stalls, as will be detailed below.

So! Let's get to the sign ups!

Event Thread Registration!

From now (17/11) for the next 3 days we will ONLY be allowing sign ups for self run event threads. These threads will be requested using the template below. Any student (and potentially 2 others) may officially run their own classroom event. Think of these like the culture festival parts of your favorite school based anime. You could run a wrestling show with your classmates, a maid cafe experience, a modelling competition, or maybe something as silly as a mock UA trivia show! When these events are submitted, they will be added to our list of sign up events. If at least 2 other non-host members sign up for any of these threads, they will be allowed to run, and be awarded 250exp upon hitting 7 rounds.

If you're event does not hit the requirements to officially run, don't worry about missing out, we'll re-organize anyone who signed up for it into other event threads.

(Note event submission will not end after 3 days. You may continue to submit events after this, the 3 day period is just to help give them some priority. Please DM Yumi or Reb when you submit an event so we may give it attention)


[b]Title:[/b] What is the title of your thread!
[b]Class/Hosts:[/b] What class (or cross class students) are hosting this stall / classroom event? A class can hold multiple events with separate hosts, so don't worry about 'deciding your entire classes theme on your own'.
[b]Event description:[/b] Please put here a description of the event your hosting. A maid cafe? A pro wrestling show? High end dining experience? Whatever you can come up with. Bare in mind these events should include both those hosting the event, and those experiencing it (audience / diners etc)
[b]Participation limit:[/b] As you are applying to host an event, what is your hosting limit? This will include yourselves (If your limit is 4, that is yourself, another host, and 2 other members)

If you like, you can put the participation limit as 'group finder'. This means you won't have people sign up, we'll just advertise the thread after sign ups for passing participation. You need 3+ hosts for this kind of thread to be valid for the exp bonus.

Below are listed the official threads to sign up for, and we will be adding any events submitted by members as they come! Our official pre-made mini event threads are-!

Prepared events:-

Event A - Game threads. Players will go through multiple carnival games with weighted rolls! Most of the time these rolls are stacked in favour of the school so you either gotta be really lucky, really skilled, or really sneaky with your Quirk use!

Event B - Taste tester! Members can apply to run their own stalls or just be there to taste the food, either way, each round an ST will invent some new, fun, silly, or exotic carnival food for the players to try. Members who cook can also offer to host these threads. Non-student/faculty members may choose to run these stalls!

Multiple versions of each thread will be created if needed.

Class events:-

Maid Merriment - Hosting maids / butlers will be serving students and visiting guests. If you sign up for this one of our lovely hosts will keep you served for the full 7 rounds so you can get that sweet exp bonus! You may also drop in for a round or 2 after the thread is made just to be part of the experience! (Limited to 6, 3 hosts, 3 non hosts)

Maid Merriment 2 -  If Need be Yumi (OOC and ICLY) will be happy to serve more guests. Don't worry about the participation limit above, anyone who dosn't get into initial sign ups can still have a seperate thread handled (Excess sign ups for maid merriment will still get an event thread, if you like you can also sign up to host as a maid or butler with her here too)

The Cooking Club Snack Party - The cooking club will be hosting there own little dining experience! Once the events are live this will be advertised in group finder, feel free to drop in for a round or two and experience the culinary skills of the cooking club! (No sign ups!)

The Greatest Robot Rumble - Lets get ready to ruuuuumble! Pick up one of the robotics clubs toys of terror and duke it out in a battle royale for the greatest handler of tiny little death machines! Maybe you'll come out on top, maybe you'll be on the scrap heap, who knows! (Limited to 7, 3 hosts, 4 non hosts)

Artists Assemble -  The art club is getting in on the club based stalls too and hosting an event, helping guide people in making their own works of art or selling off those created by the club. People are free to drop in and grab a work of art or learn the tricks of the trade as they like. (No Sign Ups!)

UA talent show - A series of talented students have decided to host a UA talent show to work on their own unique talents and show them off to an audience. Other students are free to drop by and show their talents, or enjoy the work of those on stage (No Sign Ups!)

Double U Double U A - Lets get ready to ruuuuumble x 2! A live improv wrestling match is being held in one of the UA training facilities. People are invited to join as audience members or hop into the ring themselves and mix with the improv! The hosts will give you a quick run down and let you enjoy the wild mess with them! (8 max, 4 hosts, 4 guests, if you sign up please specify if you wanna watch or fight)

Social Threads:- -

Everyone should try and sign up for a primary event (those listed above). If none appeal to you however, you can make a social thread. Those with 4 members that hit 7 rounds may receive an increased reward, however this may not be on the same level as the officially listed events. There is no official sign up for these social events, simply start them and inform either Yumi or Rebeccca when you do so. We'll keep track from there. Starting these threads will be limited to after all the primary events have begun.

NEW RULE - Due to multiple people showing interest in multiple events even before sign ups began, you will be allowed to sign up with multiple characters. However, using the sign up sheet you will have to tick off the new section to say who will be getting your rewards. For instance, Yumi is hosting her own class thread but I may want Mia to host another event. I have to choose on sign up which of the two characters will be getting the mini event reward. Mia would then just be threading for the fun of it!~

Please bare in mind we will do our best to balance out player distribution over characters. So don't worry if it seems like a class thread is full up if you still want to show interest in it. We will balance out the sign ups after the end date to ensure one player isn't taking up the last slot in 3 different threads.

A final disclaimer. There will be additional event threads made going forward. These will offer no extra reward, but will just be 1-2 post threads to give the full festival experience. Such as visiting a shrine, or viewing the end of festival fireworks show. These will be announced when they go up so don't worry about missing them.
