How long had it been, since she felt so at ease, so comfortable? It had felt like an eternity, with all the things that had been going on for them, but on this particular morning Elise felt hopeful, and she knew all too well the reason behind that feeling. The one who inspired such hope within her, such joy was currently resting beside her, still slumbering peacefully. There was something about seeing Tetsuko sleeping so peacefully that filled her heart with warmth, to know that her iron-blooded knight was able to find such comfort in her embrace, in their time together. There was no denying that the past and present had been filled with their own collection of trials and tribulations for the couple to overcome, and yet they had done so, in Elise's opinion all thanks to the fact they had each other to depend on. Certainly, there were other factors, other people who had helped them along the way, but none was as precious, as dear to them as they were to each other. It had been a Monday morning when Elise had been given an opportunity to take a break from work, they wanted her to take a bit to recover and be at her best in case something urgent came up, and so when Tetsuko had voiced the idea of sleeping over for the night because she had some things she had wanted to discuss, Elise was more than eager to accept the proposal.
Perhaps it was for that reason she had been smiling so warmly at the sleeping beauty at her side, her fingers tracing softly along her lover's arm, the faded traces of her quirk usage and combat injuries already healed remarkably thanks to the restorative properties of her body. Still, time waited for nobody, not even for the Steelheart, and so Elise leaned in, a gentle kiss being given against Tetsuko's cheek as she whispered softly. "Wakey~ Wakey~ It's time to get up darling~"
Elise smiled kindly at Tetsuko as she rose from the bed, a glimpse around her bedroom being made as she reached for the pile of neatly folded clothes she had left ready the day before. Although it was more of a 'morningwear' attire, pajamas one might call them even, in the end it wasn't like they had to go anywhere just yet, and being able to relax a little longer felt nice to her.
After making sure Tetsuko was awake and getting dressed Elise made her way into the living room of the apartment, soon making her way for the fridge to withdraw a bottle of apple juice, and of course the iron-rich mineral water that Tetsuko tended to drink. Alongside two cups she placed them on the table, knowing all too well that Tetsuko preferred to do the cooking when she came over, and so Elise took a seat, pondering about the topic Tetsuko wanted to talk to her about.
"So~ What was it that you wanted to discuss?" Elise chimed softly, her curiosity clearly audible in her voice.
