It was time for a little test, Akiko's first official testing period on campus! She wasn't very battle knowledgable, choosing to watch fights and read about them rather than practicing. She was, however, very confident in her ability as a training tool against one of the more powerful students of the year above her own. A literal dragon. Something she didn't even believe in until recent events, like the large one that was attacking Tokyo during the whole animated dead ordeal. The less she thought of it, the better. This, after all, was nothing supernatural. This was the real deal, a proper fight to demonstrate the ability and limits of her armour. It stood tall, far taller than her, at a twelve meter height. On average, at least 8 of her needed to be standing on top of each other to reach that level. That, and cloning was a prospect best left to the biology experts. Yes, this was to be a celebratory day, no need to burdened by the past or by mortal limitations, only to look towards any and every single possibility in the not too distant future. Either that, or the experiment would fail. It had happened before, and in quite bad results.
Nevertheless, Akiko was fully prepared from mishaps she might have had in youth. She stepped forward in front of the suit, glistening in the sun, and reflecting off of the buildings around her at ground alpha. This was a great place, but could do with some more danger. Maybe a punji pit or two, or some flying drones with some good old heat-seekers. Coughing a little to clear her throat, she spoke: “Machine PAA-0X-1 'Asteroid': Shine!” With that, the eye cameras flashed a bright yellow, and the left hand leant down to the floor. Akiko let out a giggle as she clambered onto the cold metal, and the hand raised up to the chest piece, where the cockpit was located. She climbed into the tight space, monitors and cameras in place. Doing a quick run through of all the systems, it was definitely a green for go. She pulled on levers to practice throwing a few blows, albeit with a little lag behind on them, but that was due to the machine only just firing up. When her test subject arrived, it'd be right as rain! All she needed to do now was wait...
...But to be honest that was a little bit dull. Pulling down a microphone, she spoke into it, spooking some of the birds who were chirping on one of the roofs of the buildings; “Hello? Test, test... ok. Recording now: Test subject Mister Jack Orion, hero name Sirius, testing genius creator and applied alchemist Miss Akiko Kinamori-Seng, hero name Philosopher. State of the test is to observe and react to any limitation or lack thereof in Machine Philosopher Alchemy Armor Zero X One, aka Asteroid. Test subject to arrive shortly.” Akiko cut the recording of sound, letting the camera play out instead, and stood by to wait for the arrival of the dragon.

自由自在 to be free; completely unrestrained. Well, this was a nice change of pace for once. Normally speaking, Jack was by all means the kind of person to prefer sparring against someone of his year...or, at the least, someone who he knew could stand a chance against him. He had confidence in his abilities, but whether one could consider this kind of thought process cocky or not was up for debate. Nonetheless, this was maybe...the second time that he's really gone out of his way to spar against a new student? A First Year Support Student, at that.
He tilted his head from side to side as he changed into his black and red gi, which contrasted nicely with his scales. He pondered what really got him excited about something like this - it was probably the new kid's Quirk more than anything else. A literal alchemist, not unlike that one old anime, and one that can make mechs at that? Maybe it was the idea that he could have a legitimate Gunman vs Kaiju fight, or more of the idea that he wanted to see what she was capable of as a whole. Support students don't usually do combat stuff, so it at the least caught the dragon boy's attention.
Once he was all changed, he would, of course, make a quick trip to whatever teacher or staff that was available to get the proper paperwork so that they wouldn't get in trouble for using their Quirks for sparring. Better safe than sorry - Jack had only ever gotten one detention during his time at U.A., and he preferred to keep it that way, even in spite of all that had happened at this point. He smirked lightly to himself, acknowledging the memories, and promptly being bothered by them...and the quickly shoving them to the side. For once his prideful nature for wanting to push himself and other people was doing himself a favor in keeping him focused.
With all of that said and done, he would start making his way down to Ground Alpha, where Akiko, the new student, already was, apparently. Frankly, he HEARD her long before he saw her, his enhanced hearing picking up on what he assumed was her voice coming over a speaker. Some kind of test recording for their fight, he assumed. He snorted lightly at the thought of that, though he did make a mental note to go easy on her, at least until she could show that she could keep up with him. Plenty of students came here with decent experience, so he could never be too sure about the matter.
As he got closer, he could see the head of the mech above some of the buildings and trees. He whistled lightly in appreciation, noting that it stood a fair amount tall - though he wasn't certain if it was as tall as he could get long. Eh, it was big enough, either way. This would be interesting, even if she couldn't keep up now. Hopefully she wouldn't mind doing this again every once in a while, especially if this first test goes well.
As he would approach, it would become apparent that he wasn't exactly in his big dragon form yet. He practically looked like a short, Hispanic 16-year-old, maybe. Just with big blue horns sprouting backwards from the sides of his head, scales, and all the dragon-y bits. He smirked up at the mech, keeping up a rather confident demeanor, even if the fanboy inside of him was practically screaming at the sight of something like this. "Hola, amiga. Pleasure to meet you officially," he called up, looking like he was analyzing the mech more than anything else.
He couldn't help but grin widely as he spread out his arms, like he was taking in the sight of this. "Y'know, out of all the Quirks I've seen thus far, this is probably one of the flashier ones that I've seen. You made this all with your Quirk, right? That's amazing!" he exclaimed, genuine in his praise for the new student. However, if one paid attention, one would notice the watchful glint in his eyes, as he tried to make note of any noticeable weaknesses of the mech before they started. He didn't seem like it usually, but Jack was actually one to make plans of attack on the fly, especially when given enough time to analyze his opponent. To say that he was excited nonetheless was an understatement, nonetheless. notes words tag someone

Sitting around for a short while, eventually Akiko spotted her subject in the main viewscreen of her armour. He was real small to look at from up in her high castle of thick plating, but that was to change when the test got underway. From what she was aware of, Jack's current state of being was only a partial form of what his real quirk was capable of, which the focus of the test would be. She had her audio recording turned off for the majority of the test, but would make little personal logs on a small digital sound recorder to go along with the visuals. Having loud talk of official business would throw a tester off balance, and possibly make them distracted or think they needed to pull punches. The only stopping point here was when the main 'mould' was exposed and could be damaged, as that would take much longer to fix. It was more or less a metallic box to keep the cockpit, with wiring and feedback sections that could be moved with her quirk to the desired form of the armour.
Akiko pulled the mic back down, and would greet her 'opponent' for this 'match', if that was more fighting appropriate lingo she had learned from reading. “Hello down there!” she said, waving the hand of the mecha to her upper-classman. She heard his talk from microphones along the armour, and couldn't help but feel giddy at the thought of a second-year appreciating the art she put into the world. “Thank you, Jack! Most if not all was by quirk creation, however there are some mainstays.” she told him. Coughing a little, she decided to move back into a more official point of view, in order to achieve maximum feedback. “Alright, I need to ask you some things before we can begin, to make sure this is a fair test, Jack” Akiko brought out the recorder, ready to take any answers down verbatem, and continued, “first, are you in good condition to carry out this test? Second, do you have any suggestions before we begin? Third, do you agree through verbal contract to be liable for any damages that may occur during this test?” Before he could answer the third one, she would laugh; “Don't worry about the last one, this is an endurance test after all. I will say to avoid going directly to the chest area too hard, as that's where I and the main control area are. I'll lay down my life in the field, but not for the first test!”
With all the more official talk done, Jack would make good responses to the best of his ability, and then they could get started. “Whenever you're ready, test subject, please transform and begin to attack Machine Philosopher Alchemy Armor Zero X One. Or 'Asteroid' if it's any easier.” she said, putting her large metallic form into a battle stance she had seen on the cover of 'Fight For Your Right to Fight: Vol. 2', or as it was better known, a shotokan stance.
