Fancy us meeting like this~?
❝
Finally ready… Finally here… Finally out and about in it…? Closing her cloak she wore around herself not because of some form of inclement weather or other obstacle but rather on account of the feeling of discomfort which she had with her new garment, while the strange but stylized little number which Chloe Crawford was sporting had been tailored to her exact physical specification and in no way seemed tight or loose or revealing or anything else which might make her feel self-conscious, she couldn't help but feel a little uneasy as she wore it. So used to casual clothing or as she went about her patrol an innocent little tracksuit which she wore at school, today was the day that she finally had the chance to show off the little number which had been made with the intent on emphasizing her alter ego, the 'White Wind', and despite the fact that her suburban patrol route was fairly innocuous she couldn't help but pause when she found her reflection looking back at her in the window of a local takeaway. It's cute but… I still feel a little silly? I hope no one laughs at me… Certainly not entirely disliking what she saw in the window looking back at her either, the flowing white cape which was designed with the idea of letting her arms move either out the front or the sides made her feel the part that was for sure, and what lay beneath was modest enough that she didn't feel like she was 'on display', which was a trait in other people's heroic outfits which made her feel uncomfortable to think about herself in. However, as she saw herself there in decorated in gorgeous shades of green and that wonderful white she felt like she was looking at someone else; someone better and more confidence in themselves than she was, which was probably the point, but still made her feel anxious all the same. However, it seemed she did not have all that much time for self-examination left.
"P-Pwease, are you a heeewo?! I need thum hewp...?"
The blanched mantel which Miss Crawford wore ideal for offering her modesty and a little stich of style when the wind got hold of it as well but being proven useful in another way as it twitched behind her, though the brunette was a little started when something tugged at her cape, she turned around and found something rather endearing waiting for her as she did so. A young shape stood behind her with a sense of worry but also a hint of trust in her dark eyes, a little girl with most of her front teeth missing looked up to her on her tippy toes and seemed to melt away the woes of the windy woman for a moment, who bent forwards to see what was the matter.
“Goodness, that is troubling, but don't worry… I'm here now~” Bending at the waist and then the knees as she fought against her instinct to throw her arms around such a woeful little soul and cuddle her close simply because she wasn't sure if that was her place or not to do so, instead of that Chloe choosing to lightly grasp the shoulder of the girl to offer a little reassurance, she looked deep into those innocent eyes and found a sense of hope within them that felt rather infectious if she was honest, and spurred her to do the right thing no matter what it was.
“What's the problem, sweetie~?” Smiling as warmly as she could and in her own way kind of wishing that she didn't have those tinted lenses in her half-face mask so that she could offer her green gaze as well, the woman in white tilted her head and offered her softest tone of voice as she broached the girl on the issue which seemed to plague her, which honestly proved to be something which nearly made her burst into laughter right then and there.
"My cat'th thtuck in a twee!"
Just like she said, huh? At least the costume seems to doing its job…? The panicked exclamation endearing in any situation but this one seeming to prove especially sweet for the young sylph because of a conversation which she had none too long ago with a teacher about the responsibility and role of a hero, in light of that little chat the young woman had to sigh to stifle her chuckle, but ultimately felt glad that no matter how big or small the problem was she had seemed to invite an innocent to plead for her help. That was why she was here, after all.
“Good heavens, that sounds like a real problem, poor cat! Where is it~?” Shaking her head softly from side to side with a smile and lifting her fingers from the shoulder of the youngster to stroke her hair instead as she offered her utmost sympathy for the situation the child found herself in, while most might have considered the topic of a stranded feline to be one of humour at best or apathy at worst, it was clearly affecting the girl a lot and that meant no matter what anyone thought it was important.
"It'th this way!"
“There's not a second to spare is there, here~” That why the sprig sylph so eager to solve the problem as soon as she could, after seeing the direction in which her young ward jabbed her finger Miss Crawford swept her arms around the young shape and began to walk in that direction as briskly as she could, before breaking into a trot and what some might have considered even a full on run, and felt a sense of relief and fulfilment as she did so to boot.
“Just show me the way~” Perhaps the thing which had been plaguing her the most about wearing this unique uniform the fact that even after two and a half years of education in the heroic arts that she still didn't feel ready to stand on her own as it were, suddenly with someone in trouble the mantle she wore both literally and more figuratively felt that little bit lighter to her, and that was important. This was important. She was important. Even if nobody had a single clue who the hell she was yet…
"Thankth Owl Gurl!"
