USA to Meet Japan for Discussions Regarding a Possible American Hero Program
Breaking news for the world of International Heroics today, as the United States has announced its plans to formally consider developing their own Hero Program. In a first step, government officials will be meeting with other global authorities on the matter, starting with Japan. In a diplomatic gesture, several prominent United States politicians will be meeting with Japanese cabinet members within the next couple weeks, offering an exciting opportunity for both countries
Discussion regarding an United States Hero Program has been an uphill battle for supporters, led largely by Pro-Quirk members of the United States Congress. One such member, Congressman Elijah Rossi, a vocal supporter of the movement to establish a U.S. Hero Program, will be serving as a major figure in the meetings. Which is only fitting, given that many Pro-Quirk advocates attribute the progress of discussions to the movement's, and particularly his, persistent work.

Until now, the idea of implementing a US Hero Program has been largely been unsuccessful in the nation. Concerns about and opposition to the potential program have been raised, but the U.S. camp is clear that they will be assessing the facts and advice with the well-being of American citizens in mind. Meanwhile, Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Ryutaro Katayama, who will be in attendance at the meetings, has expressed his eagerness to offer the United States whatever assistance it seeks, and hopes himself that they'll take inspiration from Japan's success.
Several notable figures will be attending these discussions, including Governor Richard Taylor and Congressman Garrett Sloan, two prominent American politicians with strong ties to the Hero Program debate. Japanese officials such as Minister for Foreign Affairs, Daisuke Oshiro, and Supreme Court Member Daitaro Souka, will also be in attendance, aiming to guide discussions to favorable conclusions for both countries.
Given the importance of the meetings and the controversial subject matter, high security is expected to be on display for the duration of the discussions. Citizens of Tokyo are advised to be aware of road closures in light of this.
Tokyo 5 will be covering any and all public information about these meetings as they happen, in what could serve as a major step towards the global spread of Hero Programs.
Time can only tell if the U.S. is ready to embrace the superheroes they first put onto the page.
