APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
James' appearance can be slightly disturbing. As a child, he was rather normal looking. But as time passed and his quirk began to surface, the other half has become more gruesome. The left side of his body is more demonic-looking in nature and has fire and black smoke spewing from it. His clothing is specially tailored to withstand his flaming left side. He also has a prosthetic face and skin to cover what is hidden underneath.
James holds himself as a gentleman and dresses as such. If one were to really picture it, he would kind of look like an old-time Western Marshall. He usually wears a black-in-colored cowboy suit complete with a black cowboy hat and iron shoulder pads and black chest plate (as pictured above). The right side of his sleeve is torn off due to the spikes that come from his left arm. This is his normal and villain wear for all occasions.
POSITIVE
✔ Well-mannered

✔ Strategist and Wise-talker
NEGATIVE
✖ Can lose his cool, showing his demonic side
✖ Cold-hearted
✖ Merciless
LIKES
✔ Striking deals that benefits his group
✔ His wives
✔ The hunt!
DISLIKES
✖ Being told what to do (more specifically laws that don't fit his own design)
✖ Being outdone or outsmarted
✖ Pros
✖ Unity
Personality:
There are two sides to every coin. And in the case of James Arthurwood, there are no exceptions. One moment, the man can be calm and calculating, holding himself as an upstanding gentleman in front of people, despite his appearance. The next he is a coldhearted rattlesnake with nothing to lose, crazed and battle-hungry. He believes that his Wild West law is the only law, not caring to follow the policies and laws set in today's society.
He considers everything a bounty, and rather take them in dead than alive. He seems to have a growing hatred for his brother and Unity, believing that they are slaves to the laws set by society. He believes that the heroes of today are just a bunch of showboating celebrities that think they are above his law.
He also puts a lot of trust in his wives, the only people that seem not to anger him as much. They usually play as mediators to the broken personality of James, trying to keep him together to lead the gang, Hell's Riders. He is an excellent strategist and wise talker, giving him a step up in deals and planning traps for unexpected prey. He seems to also lose his cool if his plans fall apart or if he is outsmarted by his opponents.

HISTORY
James Arthurwood. The Marshall. The Left Hand of the Devil. The outlaw goes by many names. Most of it due to how he carries himself. Others based on his appearance. But to understand James fully, we need to start at his beginnings. Which takes us to the streets of New York.
James was born and raised in New York in the States. He is the brother to Micheal Authurwood. He was born to a family that didn't have much, scraping each dime to make ends meet. But he was determined to make something of himself. Despite his quirk giving him issues throughout his life.
By the time he was a teenager, James' left arm was completely charred black and pulsed with flames from within it. Unfortunately, they did not have enough money to get the proper support gear for James. So he decided to join the police force at the age of 18 with his older brother Micheal. He quickly rose through the ranks and got the treatment he needed, gaining a prosthetic skin and keeping his quirk a secret from the force.
However, James realized there was more money in organized crime than being an honest cop. So he began to make his law, deeming what was worthy and what was criminal- while being the criminal himself. That is until he met the detective duo, Jeanne and John, two detectives who were looking in on his case as a dirty cop. Even Micheal began to question his brother, wondering if he had forgotten what it means to be a cop.
One faithful day, in a downtown shootout, James seized his chance to silence one of them forever. He aimed his gun at John and shot him in cold blood. There was so much chaos going on, no one knew who shot him. John died of his wounds on the scene.
James thought his troubles were over, only to get a rude awakening from the department. It seems that the investigation had caught his corruption and wanted to send him to prison for his crimes. Even his own brother wanted him to arrested. However, before his apprehension, he managed to escape. It was then his quirk came to full head, the left side of his body completely mutated giving him a demonic appearance. It was then James believed that he was the law, and all who was below it should be executed.
He founded the Hell's Riders gang, a gang based on a Western theme with one purpose: hunt down everyone and execute them. The underworld paid money for the gang to carry out goals for them, with their total kill count estimating in the dozens. However, they always kept running into Jeanne and John's widow, Rin, who was known as the infamous vigilante Unity.
James decided it was time to move his crimes elsewhere. And what better place than Japan to continue his work. Pros and vigilantes who parade around like celebrities' and thought they were above the law And on top that, Unity was there as a pro. Pros and vigilantes to hunt along with killing Unity. This deal couldn't be any sweeter.
