A Salty conversation with the sweetest son (Ichigo)

Which was snoring away on his back, all sprawled out as Ichigo flung his body onto his bed the night previously he was insanely comfy in his mess of blankets and pillows. He would've slept longer. But the urge for sugar overcame his sense of exhaustion. It'd didn't help that today was shit weather outside, so he could've slept in a bit longer without getting in shit with mom or dad.

Ichigo, after he made himself presentable in the bathroom, by combing his unruly hair, which didn't fix it at all, and putting a shirt on rather than walking around the house half-naked, Ichigo arrived at the breakfast table with a groggy "yo," as he devoured his mom's cooking, which was a large stack of pancakes with fruit topping, syrup, and whip cream on top of it. After breakfast, he helped clean up the kitchen with his mom, and after that, he ran back to his room to quickly change into his usual fall outfit, a red zip-up sweater with a black collar around his neck, a black sleeveless shirt, and a pair of ripped leather pants.

Ichigo let out a huffy sigh as he walks down the apartment stairs to the arcade area and saw that it was rather lively this morning- probably due to the shit weather. Ichigo was about to walk out of the arcade to get some training done and beef himself up. But the voice of his father called out to him, and he let out a small sigh. He cared for his father- but he can tell what he wants already- Ichigo's retail voice- is, to say the least, not the most smooth thing.

Ichigo walked over to his father as he made his request to work today-not like there's much else to do in this weather and not like he has anything else planned for today, so he's fine with it-"Bah-fine-I'll help old man, need me to move some shit or another? Or play a security guard?" Ichigo spoke in his usual rough manner- but Benjiro should pick up it was less rough than usual. Despite his scowling expression, he was in a good mood.

[attr="class","skullbody"]His father was so old fashion and kind of a stick in the mud. But despite how he could be such an old man-which didn't help that he was old. "fine-fine old man, I'll do my job--" Ichigo spoke as he heard a kid going through their middle school phase. Ichigo let out an exasperated sigh along with his father as Ichigo walked off and waved dismissively at the greying haired man and said. "I'll deal with them, you only need to vibe in your lawn chair or whatever old people do these's days." Ichigo said in a biting manner, but he meant it in good fun.

Ichigo marched his way towards the child with some finger pointer toy who looked ready to go absolutely ham on the other kid who looked more confused than anything else. Ichigo let out a "Eh?" sound as he got close by with a scary expression on his face that got the kid's notice. They both looked a bit intimidated by Ichigo, and when the tough guy act kid looked down at his hands, he saw that they ended in claws, and without skipping a beat, booked it out of there screaming, "I'm sorry! God!"

Ichigo and the other kid stares at the running figure, and Ichigo was the first to speak at the other child. "Don't cause trouble, and we will be fine, get it Ichigo grumbled, which caught him off guard him but didn't freak him out as he swallowed the lump in his throat and nodded as he limply walked off somewhere else in the arcade.

Ichigo let out a grumble as he walks back over to his dad with his clawed hands in his pocket and when he was speaking distance to the old man, he said, "The problem has gotten dealt with old man, he won't be coming back any time soon if he knows what's good for him with that attitude." Ichigo said, not realizing he sounded like a gangster or thug with his words.

[attr="class","skullbody"]Ichigo wondered if calling his old man hurt his feelings. Admittedly, Ichigo called him as such as a form of affection, but then again, he got repeatedly told he's not the best at showing it to the people he cares about most. Ichigo might figure this is true, but it's how he always acts. He has to be the tough kid in every school he was at, and maybe it bled needlessly to his family life, but Ichigo wasn't quite sure what to do with this thought now that it's in his head. Whelp, best to ignore until later it is.

The old-man started to scold him about scaring kids off, which, to be fair to Ichigo, he only said "Eh-?" Ichigo repeated in confusion to his father, "I barely said a word to the kid, he ran off on his own, not my fault he's a puss---wuss." Ichigo was about to swear, but knowing his parents, they didn't appreciate swearing around them, he knows his dad hates them a lot. But Ichigo let out a sigh and scratched the back of his neck with his clawed hand and said, "fine-fine Sorry for scaring the kid, and I won't do it again, and if an angry parent comes by, say it's my fault." Ichigo apologized in an exasperated manner.

His father went through that damn catalog once more, and Ichigo couldn't help but curiously inch his way around the counter to read over his father's shoulder, "Anything cool?" Ichigo asked curiously before his father spoke. Asking Ichigo if he can keep up his job or lug it onto Basil, which Ichigo let out a small chuckle as he said "I won't scare any more kids on purpose, so okay, and that slugabed will be out for at least a couple more hours, so it's chill. But hey, that's fine by me."

[attr="class","skullbody"]Ichigo let out a small "Bleh-" at his father's praise for his baseline act of self-control. "Whatever, not like I need to say that stuff to get my point across." Ichigo muttered under his breath at his father's praise. But he secretly didn't mind it as much as he was making himself act. Ichigo can be less sweary. He chooses not to most of the time. As most of the time, people never ask him to. So why should he chose his words carefully if people don't ask him too? It makes no sense to censor yourself out of a perceived sense of judgment by others.

Ichigo Despite his constant gripes and jabs at his older brother, he does care for him even if he is a sleepy bastard of an older brother. But he's a well-meaning and thoughtful person when he wants to be. The issue is getting him to want to be those things, which is why he perhaps a little too prickly with his older brother. Ichigo believes he could do so much more than what he is doing now, which might be why he pushes himself so far. But he has to keep moving forward.

When his father confirmed how old he was and he asked which ones Ichigo thinks will be successful at the arcade. Ichigo tilts his head to think and let out a growly- "Hmmmm-" as he thinks of what to suggest. "I'd say get more competitive games competition always leads to people wanting to play more, I think." Ichigo said who was totally unbiased on the topic of competition. Ichigo also thinks deeply once more and says, "I would also suggest updating the dancing game, add some new songs to it, some of those songs are old as sh-stuff." Ichigo bluntly said before catching himself and his swear.

Ichigo shrugs his shoulders as he speaks up once more, "But Basil's better at that whole video games picking than I am, so if you can find him awake, you should ask him too." Ichigo said in a matter-of-factly manner.

[attr="class","skullbody"]Ichigo admittedly always struggles to say what's truly on his mind because of the rudeness filter he has going on his mind that filters every word with a lacing of bitchiness. Ichigo does care for his old man- the utterly acient man. Ichigo sometimes regrets the shit that he says to him-he's trying his best- and after talking to some of his schoolmates on the chat- his old-man is miles better than many parents out there, especially among those fucked up little gremlins that hang out in the chat. Ichigo let out a sigh and a low growl and said-"Give me a bit to look into some newer games, and I can give you a better idea, I guess if you want me too."

When his father asked for some music suggestions, and Ichigo let out another low-"Hmm, Anime openings are always a safe bet, so are popular songs, especially idol songs, like POPUP songs are always good." Ichigo suggested to his father more genuinely invested in giving out ideas to the old-man now. Ichigo looks thoughtfully and speaks some more, "I could make a playlist tonight after work to give you a few ideas for what I think to be good songs to add to your dance-dance Rebellion game." Ichigo suggested to his father.
