Marceline had started a few plans as of late. The idea of just getting by going back and forth with her counterfeit goods or even stealing an item here or there... it was okay, she made good money and funded her little cafe chain but god it was actually far more boring than she'd expected it to be. It was all dark meeting rooms, secrecy, security. She wanted a safe role in this villain world but she needed more... pizazz, more flair, a little something that made the experience more her style. It was in venting to Sonya about her frustrations that an idea had begun to form... She was already so good at laundering her own money, why not expand her business to the rest of the criminal world and make herself a tidy little profit... and maybe a nice little bit of flair for the whole ordeal in the process. It was still a work in progress but some plans were already in motion, trying to work on the idea of building a nice little Casino in Tokyo that would hopefully expand into something even greater over time but... well, first start with the casino, then she could think about building a hotel on top or something like that.~ Lots of small parts had to be put into place, and today Marceline was strolling through Musutafu on foot having heard of a game store that may have what she needed. Spotting the sign outside and the typical figurines and the like through the windows, Marcie considered if she was going to look out of place but... well, at the end of the day she needed what she needed, and she doubted they could turn down a paying customer.~ She strode inside, hearing the typical ding of an opening store door. She didn't see anyone at the counter at first but it seemed quiet so she imagined it was just a stock check or something. Her eyes idly drifted across the many tabletop games and the like, curious what it may be like to play one but eyes on the prize as it where for now. She was hoping they'd have what she needed to start training some staff... she didn't see anything like a pokertable but she imagined it would be hard to store furniture like that on the main floor so maybe when a member of staff reared their head she could get to asking some questions about off-floor items.

Here it was. Her little palace. A little kingdom in Mustafa to call her own. Small, quaint, filled with a certain nerdiness she'd never quite embraced in her younger years but... it was hers. This store represented a lot of things, in particular a milestone; she'd left her old life behind now and finally managed to... perhaps not forget but move on, just a little. Even if just remembering their faces made her shudder, as if seeing a ghost in a dark corridor, or a cold feeling passing behind her neck. They were specters, forever haunting her... she'd just have to live with that so long as Kami-sama demanded of her.
There had been a steady influx of customers every since she announced that student discount, lots of interested folks but considering the rather unstable situation with U.A. at the moment she wasn't confident a lot of them would stay for a significant amount of time. Rather, she was counting on word of mouth and drawing crowds to the shopfront, which seemed to be going at least a little bit better than she predicted. Word was starting to spread, at least, though her typical clientele was probably annoying grumpy Mamoru next door. Too many manga-readers, apparently. She wasn't quite sure what the guy had against manga but... well, he seemed like a nice man, at least.
At the moment, however, she was taking a quick inventory a few minutes before opening in the back storeroom. Of course, she hadn't expected anyone to walk in this early considering the majority of her customers would be in school right now but she didn't miss the ding of the front door. Clearing her throat and smoothing the front of her sweater-dress, she stepped out out of the storeroom off to the left of the till, placing her sunglasses onto her head as she scanned the open-plan space for whoever had come in.
Certainly wasn't hard to miss her, with that bright green hair. When she was younger such a color would have obviously been dyed but these days, with Quirks and random mutations being more and more prevalent it was hard to distinguish between natural and stylized. Either way, the woman looked striking; she had a presence about her, a supreme confidence. A sickly, familiar feeling wished over her...
Immediately she reminded her of a younger Masumi...
Still, she was a paying customer, she would treat her no different to any other person who walked through those doors. Everyone deserved that level of respect, right? "Hello there. Welcome to the Wizard's Workshop." Her voice was as always prim and proper, extending one half of a handshake as greeting. "It's lovely to meet you. What can I help you with today?" A small, kind smile appeared on her face, a practiced expression that took years of work to perfect. For a while she believed her face would be locked in a permanent state of anguish and sadness but today... today this store and this woman represented just how far she'd come.

Marceline's ears perked up before her eyes. She knew to be aware of her surroundings given the line of work she was in, but she continued to examine some small figurine's on a shelf with little price tags hooked around their legs or armed, careful not to actually lift any from the shelf, some of them bringing a curious idea of their texture and earning the delicate touch of her fingers, but otherwise remaining with them till she was actually addressed, looking across with a false hint of surprise in her eyes. It never hurt to play a little dumb on a first meeting afterall...~
"Oh, sorry~ I was enthralled by the detail on these little things, I didn't even hear you come back in.~ Things busy in the back?" She'd playfully ask, glancing back to the toys on the shelf before turning away from them and starting to walk other towards the main counter, glancing left and right, just idly taking in the shelves around her. Some brief, genuine ideas formed, maybe curious what dungeons and dragons was actually like, or if such figurines or the like were really necessary, but ultimately arriving at the counter between her and the woman with a warm smile.
"I'm actually looking for something rather specific and I'm hoping to get something a little more 'serious' than some ikea store trash." She tried not to seem too snobbish but also wanted to show how serious she was about the potential purchase she was looking to make. "I need to buy some equipment for a new business i'm looking to start and... as a supplier of games from card games to board games to... that oh so popular DnD... I was wondering if you could help. Do you have any furniture options? Playing tables? Card loaders and shufflers maybe?"

A cat. That's what immediately came to mind when she observed Marceline's movements. Subtle, graveful and with that little hint of deception, ready to flight at a moment's notice. A businesswoman, one who'd clearly already seen the depravity beneath the skin of the business world. Perhaps she was reading too much into it but the woman was most likely going to ask for something rather shady, or at least something to do with gambling. Interesting. She'd been open a week and already word had traveled so fast. She supposed she shouldn't be surprised, people like this woman tended to know a lot more than they perhaps should.
A part of her wanted to eject the woman immediately, to not even entertain the possibility of speaking to someone who seemed to rely on such deceptions and yet... many things stayed her hand. Firstly, she would have no way of removing her without revealing that she was aware of the woman's facade and second... well, there was something so entertaining about playing along sometimes. Especially when the woman she was talking to oozed such confidence. Why shatter that now? Masumi deserved some satisfaction herself, right?
"As busy as they can be. I much prefer being out here, there's only so much time I can spend staring at boxes." She smirked, stepping around to the till area and closing the door to the store room. The woman's interest seemed oddly genuine; perhaps her initial assessment had been wrong and she was simply a bored rich girl. A princess who needed some new toys to play with. She'd have no idea how accurate such an assessment had been until later but for now, she was certainly intrigued.
A specific request? Considering she dealt in a lot of collectors items that was not very surprising, unfortunately she hadn't been open long enough to gain a stock of rare pieces, yet something about her comment was interesting. 'Ikea store trash'. Ikea sold only furniture and lackluster meatballs, not miniatures or cardgames... was she perhaps- Aaah, there it was. So she was starting a gambling operation and needed card tables, either as a hobby or a business. Her cat-like nature made Masumi immediately think of business and yet... hmmm...
"I do indeed have a number of tables upstairs. Solid quality. Specialized for many games, such as DnD, Warlance, Galaxy Wars, board games... poker." She slid a flyer across the table to her, showing the day and time of her poker nights; a vice she'd picked up from one of her... previous clients. She cringed at the term. "I run a poker night after closing on a Wednesday, you're welcome to come along to that if you want to try the tables, or I can show you upstairs right now to inspect them early? I can order as many as you need, specialized to whatever game you need them for."
She was simply selling them the tables and supplies, she wasn't taking part in any of the possibly shady gambling going on. At least that's how she justified it. Any profit was good profit, that's what she'd been told at that business seminar she attended before starting her business. This woman seemed wealthy and powerful, if nonthreatening... perhaps it'd be a good idea to stay on her good side. How to do that though was going to be interesting. Just selling her the tables wouldn't be enough, she'd need to entice her somehow...
"I must ask, if only to satiate my curiosity. Your hair, is that it's natural colour? It is quite fetching. Perhaps it wouldn't work on me but... somehow it frames you rather well." She gave a warm smile, tilting her head just a little to gaze into the woman's eyes, gauging her reaction to that.

Marcie’s brow rose briefly as she could have sworn she felt the air shift a little bit. She wasn’t quite sure what it was yet, the woman before her was rather cool and collected… oh.~ The inflection on the word poker… did she have an issue with that or something? Likely not, she seemed to be running a poker night herself but perhaps it was the fact she was showing such interest in acquiring the tools for herself that was bothering her? No room to make rash judgements on her nature just yet but she’d keep that in the back of her mind. Moving over to the counter dividing them she leaned over it almost a full 90 degress given the height difference, lifting one of her legs behind her as she rested her elbows on the counter, reading off the flyer for a moment and even flipping it over to see if there was anything she was missing.
“Well I don’t know if I’m personally much of a player but I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt to play a casual game of my own just to learn the rules.” She chimed with a warm smile, resting her cheek against her hand and looking back up to the woman across from her. “I’d definitely like to see them now if you don’t mind but I certainly don’t mind hearing more about this game. What’s the buy in for instance?~ Or is it for a fake pot?” She didn’t have any chideness in her words there, for fake cash or real cash the sense of victory was likely to be about equal for her, given how meaningless money could be for a woman like her. Maybe she’d even invite Sonya and Kado…~
Before she was guided to the tables however, her pleasant gaze widened a little as her hair was asked about, chuckling a little and nodding a little. “Yes yes it’s quite natural. A side effect of my quirk and all that.” She rose up to her full height, confidently swirling her wrist above her head and displaying the glowing ring of gold that formed above the back of her head, hovering their in place, pulsating faintly but mostly seeming like a pure, smooth ring thanks to the faint glow covering the more subtle disturbances. “Please don’t say you discriminate against us quirkers. I’d reeeeeally hate to have to take my business elsewhere.” She chimed, wondering if she had actually bumped into one of those oh so rare anti quirkers. It did seem odd she asked afterall… and hair like this could be such a giveaway even in Japan where the odd rebel dyed their hair almost as a joke plotline in their anime life.
