It was a Friday. The day started off normally enough. Wake up, go to school, breeze through the lessons due to how easy they were, get all the homework done right away to avoid having to deal with it on the weekend, take the train to Musutafu, and head to the Gym for work. Oh, and keep an eye out for any criminal scumbag trying to cause trouble. So far, everything was relatively quiet. No trouble, no people in need of saving, and no worries. Surely today was going to be worry-free, right? Kenshin hoped to be able to catch a break for once. How nice it would be not to have to worry about anything for once.
Oh, the poor boy. Nothing was ever going to be that simple and easy.
Kenshin was at a restaurant, treating himself to a nice dinner. He had just texted his parents, letting them know he would stay at the Shopping District of Musutafu for a bit longer before taking the train home. Perhaps even buy a gift or two for his mom, dad, and kid brother. After enjoying his meal, the boy heard his phone ring in his pocket. A call? Was it someone back home wanting to make a request? Probably Sai if that were indeed the case. Or was it someone outside his family? Well, there was only one way to find out....
Upon answering his phone, Kenshin became frozen in shock upon hearing the frightened boy on the other side, who was speaking in such a rushed tone as though his life depended on it.
"Kenshin, come quick! These guys... they came out of nowhere... started attacking the dojo... please hurr- AAAAAAAAGH!!!"
Afterwards... nothing but silence.
No! Why now? Shien's Dojo was being attacked?! By who? And why? Even worse was the fact that the swordmaster himself was away at an important meeting. There was no way anyone would be able to attack the dojo if Master Shien were there. But for an attack to happen while he was gone... Was this intentional? Who could it be?
There's no time! I have to save the kids!
Leaving the restaurant, Kenshin began to run to the nearby alley, making sure there was no one around to watch him head in. There was no time to think, to plan, to call for help. No, Kenshin needed to head to Shien's Dojo quickly. And for that, he needed to suit up.
Henshin!
Activating his quirk, the boy was now donning his red armor. He was now the vigilante Red Edge. With a burst of speed, Kenshin dashed ahead, taking a shortcut to try and get to the dojo as quickly as possible. I swear, if any of the students are hurt... if any of them have been killed... no, that won't happen. That can't happen! I won't let it!
It did not matter who it was, what they were after, where they came from, when they had arrived, why they chose to do this, or how no law enforcement seemed to have caught wind of the situation unfolding. Kenshin was determined to kick the asses of whichever piece(s) of shit decided to mess with Shien's Dojo and its students. And if he had to do it all by himself? Then so be it.
However, even Kenshin could not foresee the full consequences of the events that would very soon transpire.
