A state-of-the-art training facility. Control over advanced robots. All the tools she needed to simulate a natural disaster – or two, or three. It was everything Emi needed to mess with some juniors.[break][break]
And prepare them for the future, of course. That was her first priority. Obviously.[break][break]
The girl sat in a control room overseeing her would-be victims. A grid of camera feeds allowed her to observe the action, while denying the trio sight of her and her companion. Officially, Serperior was the class teacher, but Emi was the one running the show. He was mostly there to make sure she didn’t go overboard, and to rescue the students on the off-chance that one of them injured themselves. Emi would have been very surprised – and concerned – if they managed to, given what she had in mind, but she knew to expect the unexpected whenever UA was involved.[break][break]
The scenario, from the students’ point of view, seemed innocent enough. They stood at one end of a large training facility, on a raised platform about 3.5 metres (12 feet) above ‘ground’ level. Flights of stairs would safely take them down to the room’s lower level. From their starting platform, their first objective was plain as day: to reach the white, two-storey house at the other end of the room. It seemed to be a simple task – the building was no more than 150 metres (or 500 feet) from the foot of the stairs, and their path to it was both straight and clear… But when had Emi ever made anything that easy?[break][break]
“Gooooood afternoon, volunteers! I mean students.” The ever-confident voice of their overseer blared from wall-mounted speakers. “For those of you new to Japan, you might not know that we get a lot of natural disasters. Like, a lot. Seriously, I think we pissed off a god or something. Bottom line is that it’s vital for any rescue hero to know how to handle these situations, which brings us to today’s scenario. An earthquake has shaken up the town you’re in, powerful enough to knock up buildings and people alike. You were on your way to survey the damage, but you’ve just heard that the shock has broken a nearby dam. This place is minutes away from being flooded, and since this town doesn’t have J-Alert installed, its citizens don’t even know it. There’s bound to be citizens in need of help getting to safety in time.”[break][break]
“And that’s where you three come in! Your goal is simple – enter the house in front of you and rescue the civilians within. I’ll tell you now that there are at least two people registered at this address, and while they might not look the part, you’re to treat these as living, human beings. Serpy-sensei said I couldn’t get real civilians to stand in, so what’s there will have to do.” The speakers pick up a few grumbles from the girl, but not well enough for the students to make sense of them.[break][break]
“Anyway, you know what you have to do. I’ll be generous, and say your time won’t start until one of you moves onto the stairs. If you take too long to evacuate the civs, the house they’re in will flood, so I suggest you guys take a few seconds to think up a plan of attack. Or I guess plan of rescue is more appropriate here… Whatever. Get to it!”[break][break]
From outside the house, there wasn’t much for the students to draw from. The house was about two feet above ground level, buying them a few extra seconds if and when the water swarmed the area. The side facing them had a few windows left wide open – large enough for the smaller students amongst them to climb and squeeze in through if they chose to. Likewise, the second floor had its fair share of windows, if any of the students were feeling especially daring, and the front door, albeit closed, stood to tempt the trio. The other sides of the house could provide their own opportunities, but they would have to invest time into checking them… Time that they might not have, depending on what they planned to do.

OOC: (This portion scrolls!) Thank you for joining this thread! Take as many turns as you need to discuss a strategy, and let me know when you're moving in. There are several routes you can take to success, so feel free to experiment and make the most of your characters' skills. Mistakes are allowed, and even encouraged - they open the door to character development and interactions. I will provide a map of the interior when it is close to being entered.
