APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
Katsuo cuts an imposing figure in a crowd, usually standing head and shoulders above those around him. With slight animalistic features, namely his rather obvious ears alongside his golden eyes much more reminiscent of a feline's than a human, Katsuo knows full well that he stands out. He also sports a large scar that runs horizontally across his face, over the bridge of his nose, that he acquired some years ago in a tussle with a Vigilante.
To match his prodigious height, Katsuo is well muscled though not overly, keeping a somewhat lean frame that belies his strength. As Katsuo is usually a jovial person, smiling near constantly, his enlarged and sharp canines are easy to spot. Another feature he inherited from his Father. His hair is also somewhat abnormal, the golden coloration flecked into his red is entirely natural as opposed to some added dye though he himself is not entirely sure why it is present.
POSITIVE
✔ Fiercely Protective of Friends
✔ Fun Loving and Easy Going

✖ Brutal
LIKES
✔ Fighting
✔ Daifuku
✔ Expensive Clothes
DISLIKES
✖ Cowards
✖ Overtly Altruistic Heroes
✖ People Who Underestimate Him
Personality:
At first glance it would be easy to assume that Katsuo is a rather dumb brute of a man, his impressive physique and lust for battle don't do much to help with his image after all. But while that may be a facet of him, it is not the entire story. Katsuo is rather intelligent when all is said and done, always having a plan or scheme in the works, something he no doubt picked up from a certain someone. He often enjoys battle far more than is reasonably healthy, sometimes taking things too far with those that manage to break through his easy going exterior to see the brutal and animalistic side he not so much hides as suppresses.
Katuso is also fiercely loyal and protective of both his friends and those that work under him at times, going out of his way most of the time to ensure both their survival and well-being. He is the kind of man that once you get on his good side, there isn't much he wouldn't do for you. This has made him rather popular with the rank of and file of various criminal groups he has worked with in the past, treating them more as comrades than the disposable trash some villains are like to do. Though let it not be said that he is soft. Katsuo is not above dishing out severe punishments if they are warranted.

HISTORY
Katsuo was born into an abusive household. Born the son of the somewhat influential leonine Hero un-ironically titled 'Pride', Katsuo was pushed to his limits daily from the time he could walk. Pride was a huge beast of a man alongside being a horrible Father and Husband. He had always preached about the gallantry that Heroes like himself displayed on a daily basis and for a time Katsuo believed him, looking up to his Father and wanting to be just like him. Katsuo wasn't very old when he discovered the truth about his Father, that he was nothing more than a cruel liar that used both his power and position to gain wealth and prestige to feed his own immense ego. His Mother always told him that his Father had been different before, before he became a Hero, the way she spoke made it sound to Katuso like the day the man became a Hero was the day everything fell apart between them.
Katsuo soon came to realize that his Father was not much more than brute, the idealistic image of a Pro Hero Father shattering the more he learnt. His Father would regularly come home, his fists bloodied and cut, and the local news would sing his praises, showing off the extremely low level Villans and petty Criminals that Pride had beaten within an inch of their life. Katsuo didn't care so much about them, but it was when Pride started turning his fists against his wife that Katuso had finally had enough. Going behind his Mother's back, Katsuo called the Police after his Father had roughed her up one time too many. Katsuo had been beyond hopeful, knowing that both the Police and the Pro Heroes accompanying them would finally end things from both himself and his Mother. It was not to be however, the fools had refused to believe him, instead listening to the lies the very man they had been called to stop spewed in his defense. Eventually they were sent away and Pride's wrath had been horrible. Thinking that the accusations had come from his wife, that was where the brunt of his aggression from directed.
It was then that Katsuo's Quirk Factor finally shone through, his young body rapidly and painfully growing in stature, his cries from the sudden growth drowned out by a roar of anger as he charged his Father, looking to save his Mother. His Father initially laughed off his Son's attack, until Katsuo's small fist made impact. The unexpected power behind the blow was certainly a surprise, but the debilitating feeling that accompanied it was much more alarming. Now as weak and defenseless as those he himself beat, Pride suffered under the raging blows of his Son. Red was all Katsuo saw as he ceaselessly beat his fists into his Father's face. It was his Mother that eventually stopped him, reaching out to pull him off of Pride's motionless body. The man was long dead before Katsuo's fists stopped falling. His Mother, fragile as she was, was in no better shape, blood slowly pooling underneath her broken frame as Katsuo tried to comfort her. She died in her Sons's arm, killed by a Hero and abandoned by the system that employed them.
Some small part of Katsuo's mind knew that despite his grief, he needed to leave. He had no faith in the Police or Heroes anymore, no doubt they would refuse to listen as they had only hours before. Taking whatever likely ill gotten valuable he could from his Father's belongings, Katsuo did the only thing he could, he ran. He quickly found himself living on the same streets his Father used to prowl like the predator he had been, living alongside and among the very same kind of people that the man had beaten. The young boy soon found himself in the company of another in similar circumstances, a younger girl called Kyoko. For the longest time they ran together, Kyoko's brain guiding Katsuo's brawn in service of themselves alone. Kyoko had big dreams and Katsuo was committed to doing anything he could to ensure they came to pass. Miss-fortune separated them for the longest time, Katsuo being captured unawares by a Hero that had worked closely alongside his Father. The man was easily as corrupt as Pride had been, selling Katsuo off into indentured servitude overseas as nothing more than a pit fighter. For what felt like a Lifetime Katsuo fought to free himself, to return to his home and Kyoko. When he eventually managed to free himself he learned of his friends incarceration and stormed his way back to Japan, intent on breaking her out from whatever hell hole the Heroes had managed to throw her in. Thankfully Kyoko was as resourceful as ever, ensuring her own freedom before Katsuo was able to affect it himself. Now re-united Katuso vowed to never be taken from her side again.
