Mosas job situation was a little bit awkward. Two different jobs taking place at different times and two kids to take care of was an awkward undertaking for any person. Some had always wondered, how was he able to keep this routine sensible, without 'breaking the camel's back', so to speak. And the main reasons were simple: first of all, Kenji, his adoptive son, could usually go take care of Kasumi whenever he himself wasn't able to. The boy was quite resourceful, and overall made good usage of his things. Another thing was, that the church he worked at was quite lenient on him, especially with all the awkward business going on unrelated to it. This usually left him with evening sessions to talk with the folks coming out of their own jobs.
But most importantly at this very moment: He was always allowed to eat at the school cafeteria. The food quality was certainly much better than some random place by the street which he used to go by, and it atleast guaranteed him a good cup of tea. And sometimes someone could think mosa was a tea addict by how much he could ingest it. Todays meal was also to his tastes: Lasagna. with extra cheese and double the layers to celebrate the festival coming along. In that regard it was almost more like a big cake, and looking at the plates of some of the students it was pretty clear it was about as popular as one.
With that in mind, for now, it seemed like a regular day. Mosa was swirling his spoon in his teacup, and flipping pages of this thick collection of 'android 1000' comics, appreciating the history and the artstyle changes of many years. occasionally, whenever a wordier panel would come up, he would pick up his fork, cut into his big plate of lasagna, take a moderate piece, and slowly chewed it, as he ingested the deep lore. Honestly, somebody could have said, that at this pace, his food was gonna get cold before ever finishing it. But of course, most people wouldn't know what he was actually doing here, since it did seem like a quite regular meal time in all other aspects. He was just taking his time...
Because he was waiting for somebody.
He had pretty much promised to meet one of the heroes, that would be working closely with U.A quite soon. She had supposedly already held couple of internships, and had been quite successful in it indeed. Most of the students had said, that she was quite wise and knowledgeable, and had helped them quite a lot. Heck, her hero name was quite eyecatching with the topic of it. It made Mosa feel like having something sweet after this meal. In many ways, they were a very interesting person, and honestly, Mosa couldn't wait to hear their opinions on the school, and overall getting to see how a professional hero like them saw the world. Many of course knew of Mias antics, but a more civilized and wise hero like Umeboshi... the curiosity was brewing.
Of course, that curiosity was held back just a little bit by the amount of food on his plate. He wouldn't want to come off as wasteful. First impressions in talks like these were important. You had to leave them with a good responsible image, that wouldn't leave them thinking you were some rude fellow taking advantage of your position. The comic book he didn't mind so much. That was just a part of what he was. When she would come around, Mosa would gently lift his hand-up to make sure she would notice him. Not that he was that unnoticeable with his shape and figure.

Funnily enough with how much Jessie had interacted with U.A this was her first time ever touring the inside of the facility. It seemed like the new hero rankings alongside her successful mentorships of multiple U.A students had made her rather popular all of a sudden. She couldn't say she wasn't a little bit flattered, but after multiple calls and messages from classmates, colleagues and friends she was feeling slightly embarrassed by all the attention. So being summoned by U.A's principal was something she actually felt good about. After all with someone who dealt with heroes all the time he at least wouldn't be 'starstruck'[break][break]The actual meeting went rather well as Jessie now had a list of some staff, she should talk to to get more information on her new role. With a bounce in her step, she was on her way to find Paw Might first to give him a note and then meet Mosa after when...well her stomach growled quickly reminding her that it was lunchtime. Luckily for her she had been told previously that Mosa would meet her in the cafeteria anyways so great timing on that part! She didn't want to be rude, but since she was only dropping off a note for Paw Might she figured it could ultimately wait a little longer. [break][break]As she entered the cafeteria she grabbed a pre-packaged salad alongside a red bean bun and looked around. Mosa was distinct enough that she noticed him almost instantly and approached the table from the front with her lunch in hand. Even if he hadn't flagged her down it was pretty easy to figure out that this was the man she was supposed to meet. As she gave a courteous bow and took a seat she spoke mentally to him "Ganbaroshi-san. It's a pleasure to meet you! Apologies she communicating in this way I can't speak the traditional way that most people can." she began to delicately open her food "I hope you don't mind me eating while we discuss! Since I can speak to you mentally I can just eat at the same time."

It looks like he was successful in getting her attention. Mosa immediately closed his comic book, and took a little bit more proper position in his chair. 'Meeting mode' was sort of activated. He gave the briefest of thoughts about her lunch... perhaps she was a vegetarian? Not that it mattered, just a thing he took note of as she took a seat. He was about to open his mouth, as he offered his hand across the table, when the weirdest sound echoed through his head. It took a moment for him to comprehend what was happening, as he blinked behind his glasses, and fixed their position. "Oh... This is an interesting surprise." His voice was more painted with curiosity than negativity. He had seen this sort of stuff in comics all the time, but never before had he experienced it first hand! There was a surprising amount of childlike glee in his mind about it, even though his face didn't show it whatsoever. "Oh, do feel free to eat. I myself will occasionally grab food myself too." It was an easy compromise.
"Now, to get to the introductions, My name is Mosa Ganbaroshi. I am the primary psychiatrist here, as well as a teacher on the more social aspects of being a hero. Although, I must admit, I do not really have heroic experience in traditional sense." Mosa didn't know whether to feel proud or a little bit embarrassed about the fact. He hoped he wasn't coming off as too braggy about it. On one hand, children were children, quirks or not. Therapy was good for whoever came to his meeting. "So naturally, I got quite curious when I was informed by the principal, that we would be working together on the mental health side of things for the students." His fork sank into his food, as he took a piece and munched for a little bit. He did certainly sometimes feel like he needed more help on that side of things. Nimue herself was good, but she was also one of the higher ranked heroes, which kept her busy...
At this point he hit a little bit of a snag in thought. Oh yeah. The person in front of him could read his mind. A gentlest of blushes grew on his cheeks, as he finished munching. "Pardon me, I am not sure if you consider this a rude question, but I do need to ask it." He lifted his hand a little, his voice having tiny mix excitement and embarrassment. "Is your ability just speaking to others through their mind, or... is it outright mindreading? I know that sort of ability would be immensely useful in this sort of thing." Although perhaps personal space breaking. Very uncomfortable for any student if they knew about it, or you took something from their mind and used it later.
...Mosa actually looked a little disappointed in himself, as he pinched his nose. "Pardon me, if that is the case. I am the sort of person who thinks about a LOT of things whilst they make their diagnosis. Some of that stuff might come off as a little rude." After all, you needed to sometimes consider ALL the options before you could come to the single correct one. It definitely would make his efforts at trying to speak properly sound a little bit... faked perhaps?
"Although on that note..." He took another piece of the lasagna in front of him. This time a more proper one. "I suppose I could ask you, how do you work on that front? I've always been fascinated with hearing about the different methods people find to talk with people of different kinds." It was maybe an obvious question from someone so visibly serious yet hilariously gleeful on the inside. However, it would certainly give him a bit of time to eat.

Jessie was always meticulous when it came to pretty much anything in their life and more than anything else this was much more apparent when she was meeting someone new. "Much appreciated!" she 'spoke' cheerfully to Mosa as she snapped her chopsticks apart and peeled off the container to her food and began to eat all the while listening carefully to what he was saying. She nodded when appropriate until he asked what she considered to be a pretty regular question with those who didn't understand how her quirk worked. She laughed slightly but quickly composed herself as to not offend him and his largely innocent question "Oh no not at all. This is more of a one way thing I can't hear your thoughts at all. My quirk has actually made me mute" she took a bite of her salad and yet this didn't stop her from continuing her explanation "My quirk is that I can manipulate my own aura and...well we'd be here all day if I tried to explain the whole thing!" it seemed like he did ultimately want her to explain at least a bit more so she continued on [break][break] Placing her chopsticks down she held her hand up with her palm facing upwards and produced a tiny bit of yellow aura which gracefully danced around her hand "It's kind of like...well I see you're interested in comics so I'm sure you can understand a bit of what I mean" she changed the color of her aura from yellow to blue and then followed up by forming an orb with it. "I mostly try to communicate using Sign Language, but in the case of U.A and the internships I've taken on I've gotten a bit more comfortable with opening with my mental communication" she had finally finished her salad and decided to move onto the red bean bun she had as dessert "Speaking of kids I guess that's why I'm here today. I'm sure you're very in the loop with the recent kidnappings and run ins the students have had with active villains? Can you tell me more about the current mental state of the students you've worked with?"[break][break]

Mosas face turned a bit embarrassed when the lady in front of him outright started giggling to herself from his question. "That common, huh?" However, he tried to lighten the mood a little with a joke of his standard quality. However her answer was more than satisfactory, as he nodded slightly. "Ah, so pretty much like a text message from one phone to the next." Still very useful in its own right, but definitely not as effective as full on mind reading. "Although, it is still one way to get inside your patients head." A teeny tiny grin grew on his lips. "One of my patients has a similar ability: She can shoot these bubbles that include words and phrases. Really good for long range conversations, although she should adjust the volume on those things." If there was something Mosa was comfortable doing, it was casual small talk.
The little showing of her quirk was quite interesting too. There were quite a few questions Mosa would have liked to ask, but that would have probably gotten a little bit too personal. Auras connection to speaking to people had quite interesting ideas for spiritualism especially after all. But they weren't here for that. "I have tried to learn sign language, but it is one of those things, where its hard to understand it at first without having a proper example." Of course, there were videos on the subject, but actually talking like that was a very different thing to just taking whats in on the screen.
As soon as she brought up the kidnappings and villain meetings, Mosa nodded. "I have heard about them yes. Some of the students who have gone through similar situations were sent to me to discuss them." He lowered his fork, as his hand went to his Jaw. "Of course, I have also dealt with students who have more personal sort of issues where villains aren't involved, and those overall are more common of course. But I do hear from time to time about how these students feel about them."
He crossed his legs under the table, clearly trying to make himself comfortable. This was gonna take a bit. "Most of the students that have been sent to me suffer from 'self-image' issues. You know, what others think of them, what they think of themselves, that sort of thing. Naturally, since heroism is the sort of job where your heroic image shines." He crossed his hands and lean into them. "Those situations are so varied, that I can't really say one specific problem. But what I can say, is that there is a clear case of 'jealousy' from some students directed towards the more successful ones. Comparisons between people are common. The thing following that is probably 'feral tendencies' from some of the more animalistic students." He broke his stance for a moment to scratch his cheek. He hoped that didn't come off as rude.
"One of the more controversial things I've noticed however, is perhaps this whole thing about students having sympathy towards villains. I've had two major cases of it, that I've talked with them about." One of them was never finished properly, as the student left the school, but the other was developing to be better. "One of them however also had a case where they were put on a list by a villain to be taken care of. Very shocking, but something very hard to handle by simply talking." Most of his examples were presented as anonymous of course. It was not clear yet if she would be joining, or if she would change her mind.
"For the most part however... they are teens. Simple as that. Some of them want to show off, some of them fear they are falling to the side, and some simply do not care one way or the other." Another deadpan joke, but also a fact. "That and my internships are usually about teaching them, that heroism isn't learned from just combat. Although I do admit, daycares and retirement homes aren't exactly the first thing that comes to their mind when they hear the words 'somebody in need'." He took another piece of lasagna.
"Speaking of internships, what sort of things have you done with them? I know you've done some of those yourself." The question offered him time to chew.

Nodding along enthusiastically with Mosa's correct assumption of how her powers worked she was glad he didn't require a further explanation. The benefits of working at a school meant to cultivate quirks was that he most likely had seen it all at this point. He made some very valid points about some things she already knew about these students with a splash of some new information as well. From her limited exposure during her internships, it seemed like self-confidence was a problem among them, but self-image was something she hadn't considered before. [break][break]"Self-image, huh?" she paused eating her red bean bun and pondered the thought for a moment "Yeah now that you mention it the students I've for my internships all seemed a lot less confident than I expected for Third Years? Perhaps they are just comparing themselves to others in their class..." it was more of a hunch than anything else but given her experience with Yumi, Mizuki, and Chikako it was most likely true. [break][break]"For the students, I've had?" she took a large bite out of her food once more continuing to mentally communicate as if she didn't have a mouthful of food "I've been mostly letting them decide what they want or need. I feel as though being teenagers and in a school like this probably mounts some pressure over time. In no particular order, we've done workouts, patrols, meditation, and a few others. Nothing too substantial mind you but I believe the satisfaction of the students I've taken is pretty high!" she was proud of herself being able to make even a little bit of a difference in the lives of these kids. "Villain sympathizing or idealization is concerning. Anything more specific you can tell me about that?"

Mosa nodded at Jessies theory. Of course, that was one of the sources, where this sort of behaviour could come from. "Naturally. The people in your class are the people you see the most of after all. Although, gradevise I haven't seen that much fluctuation." He took a brief bite of his lasagna, as he considered it a little more. "Of course, there is also the fact, that they will be the first school taught heroes, so I don't know if that is some added pressure to the whole thing." Admittedly, this was just something someone could suggest. Out of the students he had talked with, none of them had exactly brought up being the first being a major factor. "However, the volatility of the quirks has made them worry, that they aren't allowed to make mistakes. And with the environment they are going to be in, I cannot exactly blame them." Reason why he had asked her, what she used to do: Working in said environment could certainly alleviate the fear of failure.
Mosa was a little surprised about the amount of freedom she gave them however. Not that that was a bad thing. It allowed them to pretty much do what they wanted to do as a hero. Simple patrol work and meditation. Admittedly, this made it feel like internships with her might have been a bit easy, but at least mentally relaxing. "Yes, I can imagine a low risk environment and showing them the more mundane side of hero work could calm them down. No need to worry about mistakes made in action, when the action is of a little bit smaller importance." It would certainly give the image, that hero work wasn't always about giving your all for 24 hours a day.
However, the satisfaction in the hero herself and her face was quite evident. If there was one thing for certain, atleast the priorities in this line of work for her were correct! "Nothing beats that feeling of a job well done." In the end, a lot of the job was on the student themselves developing afterwards, and not making them something you yourself wanted them to be.
...Speaking of spooky wrong examples, It seemed like he had caught her interest with the whole small debacle. "Names I won't mention, you understand." He had made an oath of anonymity and to keep what the students told him to themselves. "In specific case, there supposedly was this duo of villains... I am not sure what their quirk was. However, the student supposedly got them separated, but after some pleading from the villains, had some ideas inserted in their head. Of course, the student recognized this and brought it up, so we could help them with it, so the situation wasn't that bad." It was a little bit of an uncertain explanation. He himself hadn't been there, so it sounded more like a rumour, than an actual fact.
"However, it did make us wonder of the possibility. You know, with villains like Ishtar and others using social media to their advantage, who knows what sort of their ideas they might get, if the villain is even a little bit sympathetic." Of course, this was a bit of a radical thought. not exactly one based on truth. "On that being the case, I don't have any examples. Most of the social media villains have luckily concentrated more on the fear aspect of mental manipulation, creating chaos, instead of trying to sell themselves." He made a brief motion like a shrug with his hands. "Admittedly, it could be something we should slowly start preparing for... But that is just me." Mosa was the sort that always liked to try and prevent future problems. But the problem with predicting problems was of course, that nothing could be 100% predicted.
Of course there was another question he could ask. Their thoughts had for now concentrated more on the students, so... "Have you worked with the rest of the faculty yet? Any pro-hero or overall person other than me?" In this case he was just curious. Principal of course was one, but there were quite a few others as well. "I myself work a lot with Nimue, the school nurse. Very good connection to have, from medical to psychological and what not."

Finishing the last bite of her lunch she began to fold it back up delicately and put it towards the side with the intention to toss it when they were done speaking. She nodded enthusiastically in agreement to everything Mosa was saying greatly appreciating that she finally had someone who understood the nuance of what is was like working with super powered teens. The only other person she knew of who held a similar sentiment was Witch Doctor who might as well have been cut from the same cloth as Jessie herself. Even her approach to interns and training methods were similar and the two had worked together many times in the past few months. Upon mentioning the incident with the student in question, but wanting to provide some anonymity Jessie spoke up "I agree. I'm not exactly super keen on social media but I do firmly believe that we might run into a big problem in a few months." she fumbled in her pocket to find her data pad and opened it before pulling up a schedule that had 'STUDENT GRADUATION' in big letters and placed it down on the table so Mosa could see.[break][break]"I'm mostly concerned about this in relation to what you just said. The students will all be graduating in a few months and while I intend to take on as many as possible I'm worried about those who might...fall through the cracks say to speak." she snapped the device shut and put it away "I brought this up with the principal and that's really why I'm here today."[break][break]Taking a moment to compose herself she mentioned "I've worked with a few Pro Heroes at this point but Nakahara-sa..Witch Doctor is someone I've worked closely with. We have similar ideals and methods, but even she doesn't know about my concerns over this matter. Being the Number 1 hero in Japan keeps her pretty busy these days."

Mosa stopped for a moment completely, as Jessie pulled out a pad and placed it on the table. The words on it were quite clear: student graduation. Mosa in response sighed a little. "Yes, it is quite worrying that the situation is what it is in case of student mentality." His hand went over to his jaw again. "Admittedly, there were already couple of cases, where I felt like I came too late to do much. You've heard of the case about one of the students stabbing another?" Of course, this was a year ago. Emphasized by... "Naturally, it is not common by any means... one of the students in the same year of course did go a little bit wild with their powers, but after that, we haven't really had similar situations in a year or so. Well, aside from some cases of 'lack of emotional control', when you word it a little bit kinder." A certain dragon boys escapades came to mind...
However, in the end, his opinion might have been a little bit surprising. "In the end, we have the hero exams for a reason. If the public doesn't consider the student worthy of a heroic position, they won't be getting it." Of course depressing for the students, but in the end, it was sort of an end of the line for them. "After that, our task is to help them recuperate from that and encouraging them to try again later. Besides, we do have 6 months still." One of those awkward situations where many of the things they could do were out of their hands. "In the end, we just have to be ready to confront students ourselves about their issues, if they themselves don't come to us. That's really the only way to avoid slipping unnoticed as you say."
Hearing Jessie fumble a little with her name things, Mosa couldn't help but blink behind his glasses. Come to think of it, he had just referred to Nimue on a first name basis. Gosh, somebody could consider that quite rude. Problem of being so personal, he supposed. "Yes, she is more on the physical health side of things. In the end, it would be you and me concentrating on the psychology of it all." He tapped his fingers on the table.
"Now... any other troubles you would like to bring up? I will try to answer them to the best of my capability."
