Fancy us meeting like this~? ❝ “Hmmmm… I see.” Staying quiet as she found her questions being answered by the beryl haired beauty, the brunette lifted her finger up and hummed softly as she tried to make sense of the whole situation, their plan included, though really her attempts at doing so proved something of a mixed bag the more she thought about it. “I suppose if we go off the time of day and destination and compare that to the information we have from the bus service we might be able to figure out the number and such, though… If this was planned, there’s no guarantee the bus will be sticking to the pre-planned route is there?” Confident for a moment that the prominence of public transport and the transparency held between department might have helped them out if this was a simple case of a baby being left on a bus by accident or something of the sort from some situational comedy, unfortunately the insidious implication of what she had been told made Miss Crawford doubt that that this crisis could be solved so easily, especially when she considered the idea that this was a little bit more than a simple exploitation of opportunity. “Gosh, it’s like not being able to see the woods for the trees, isn’t it? Or I suppose the reverse in this case?” Shaking her head and sighing as she realized the magnitude of the whole event, though initially she had assumed there was some safety and security in the fact that it was a public bus that this had occurred on, all too quickly that feeling had turned to one of dread and almost hopelessness as well when she considered the needle in the haystack type operation this had turned into. “Whoever these people are they’re turning the transit system against us? There’s got to be a dozens buses in this area alone… Probably more?” Even the assumption that these despicable crooks would still be riding the bus a big ask and should they be lucky and that be the case the task seeming rather insurmountable, it would take a lot of time and attention to stop and search every one of these vehicles, and every second that they spent doing so in vain would be one that the criminals could exploit to take their prize further and further from that reach. “S-Sorry, I suppose it’s not good to get negative in situations like this?” Usually the soul in the room who liked to shine with a sense of endless optimism and positivity but Chloe having a hard time dealing with how this seemed to sting at any sense of empathy she had, all that the girl could do was apologize as the turmoil inside her grew bigger and bigger, and blended together an overwhelming sense of sadness and disappointment, but more than that anger as well. “I just… That poor woman, and the baby, and all of it… I don’t understand why someone would do something like this?” Outraged in her own way that someone would choose to prey on the most innocent folk in the world, the green eyed girl felt her fists shaking on top of her knees as she tried to understand both what the mother was going through right now and the mindset that would lead someone to doing something as dreadful as this but she struggled to realize either concept really, and all she wanted to do was make it all go away. To swoop in as fast as she could and reclaim that baby, and make sure while she was doing it that anyone responsible for any ounce of this pain which radiated outward was brought to justice for their crimes…

She took a deep breath, it made it sound like she was sighing though, which she hopes could recover by smiling a little at Chloe. She did not sigh because of her student's questions, it was good she asked them. "Exactly, I would say there are two types of people, those who plan everything carefully but also are ready if there is a mistake in their plan and those who panic. If you are panicking you want to attract the least amount of attention so you might just finish the rest of your bus trip and run at the end or close to the end of the normal track, that does of course include that they know where to go. Considering they dropped potentially the wrong baby makes them in my opinion group two and I just hope my calculation and reasoning is right and we could maybe still catch them, right at the end." Though they were not sure how much time they lost considering the woman couldn't explain or inform them about how long ago it had been and when she exactly got on the bus, it was some assumptions with around such a time which was still quite confusing and that might explain why they weren't phoned in yet. She hoped they would call any minute as she did not dare put the sirens on and gain some speed because where to go.
She gave a soft but maybe hollow laugh, "Heh, you have been reading my mind, that's what I thought." Like missing the woods because of the trees, needle in a haystack. Unbeknown to Nimue herself, she did speed up a little, but not surprisingly much. She liked driving, she just still did not have a car so it felt still quite natural and she would look at the cars in front of her, manage to find open spots to go a little faster, but at this hour there was not that much traffic, which was a blessing. "I wouldn't call it directly negative, if you feel that way then yes change it a little. But it is good to be realistic and I think that's what you are doing now. There are a lot of busses, but they all have a different number and a different route and destination. Which means that even with so much we can forget those going into other directions and other neighbourhoods because we don't need to follow those. We either need to wait to hear from a bus going in the wrong direction or we speed up to the final destination of that bus route." Which was what she was basically doing now. "I don't understand much of some of the people we will bump into either. I do try to have an open mind, but I will admit there are moments when those thoughts are difficult to find." Before Nimue could say more the static of the radio was going and she pointed out to Chloe to take the microphone and wait for the message to be finished, after all, it started with the names Witch Doctor and White Wind so it was for them. There were no stray busses but they found one that seemed to have crashed a few streets away from them and that seemed to be the bus they were trying to go to, "Tell them, by clicking into that button on this side, yes, that we are going there now." She said though she said it tenser if Chloe would pay attention to her. She flicked the switch on and put the sirens on, making sure Chloe asked for the exact street and location but she would go a little faster now that they knew where to go. A crashed bus might mean the culprits had escaped.

Fancy us meeting like this~? ❝ “Hmmmm… It feels too ‘slick’ to be a case of simple opportunity but…” The mentor of Miss Crawford doing her best to reassure her charge and yet the mind of the girl still seeming to feel like she just couldn’t sit still in a situation like this, though she tried to settle herself the worry within the windy wonder was something that she simply couldn’t suppress, and as so she couldn’t help but babble a little regardless as she turned the idea over and over and over again in her mind. “If this was planned, it doesn’t feel right either? Is there something special about the baby or something?” Unable to shake the feeling that there was something more going on here simply because of how all the factors seemed to line up together so perfectly, while it was possible that her imagination and anxiety was propelling her paranoia the pupil couldn’t help but wish they knew more about both the victim and the people responsible, since she couldn’t help but feel like she was walking through the woods in the dark right now. Nothing made sense, and she had no idea how to make things right. “O-Oh, perhaps they got spooked or something?” Luckily it seeming that the faith that her fellow femme had in the system seemed to win out as the radio in the car fired up and brought mention of something which was of particular interest to the two of them, while a crashed and possibly abandoned bus was a strange thing to note no matter the circumstances it seemed to feed into the situation so perfectly that Chloe couldn’t help but doubt that they were witnessing a coincidence, and from the response of her teacher she wasn’t the only one. I really hope this is the right bus… That poor woman, and her baby! Quickly finding her positivity clawing at her once again at the sudden rush of ideas she got when she heard the news, all that the usually bubbly brit could think about was how horrid the situation was and how they needed to solve it sooner than soon, and she hoped with all her heart that this lead was something they could use. “R-Right. This is…” Perhaps her focus on solving the problem meaning that Miss Crawford was caught a little off guard when Nimue asked her to take the reins of the radio into hand and respond on her own account, her long lashes fluttered over her emerald eyes as she picked up the receiver and activated it, but for a moment was stumped by exactly what she should say in response. “This is ‘Witch Doctor’, we read you and are en route right now. Over!” Ultimately deciding that since she was answering on behalf of her teacher and using the name of the woman in charge rather than her own since she guessed it would be more recognisable to the people on the other end, once she got rolling the flustered foreigner found those lessons she had gotten on comms protocol slotting into place perfectly as she answered in a slightly over the top but on the whole correct manner, though any assurance she showed was more accident than intent. After all, it was hard right now to think about anything other than the worried look of the woman they had left behind…
