1000-1. 1000-2. 1000-3... RJ was close to hitting her max reps for today on the bench-press, taking great focus on building her chest muscles up.. She was trying out the gym that Selena suggested to her a couple days ago. She was almost done with her first set. Next would be the incline bench-press followed by 1000 squats topped off with a two-hour cardio. Separate, Jeanne and Rin could not achieve these numbers. But being RJ helped them reach the goals that was impossible to reach by normal standards. The trick was keeping on task.
RJ grabbed her gym towel wiping the sweat from her brow as she took a look around. This place wasn't bad. It had everything she needed to train. Dumbbells for muscle building. Treadmills for cardio. It even a snack bar area for her after-workout meals. She could get use to this whole hero gig. It sure beat sulking in the alleyways in New York, trying to keep her identity from the police squad. Imagine their surprise that Jeanne was a quirk user all along- and she chosen the calm, peaceful Rin as her partner. But not just for fighting crime- for life, as each other's wife. RJ couldn't ask for more even if she tried.
She looked around the gym watching the other patreons continue their workout. Who would she run into today..

"Hyaaaah...!" While the gym was never a place Mia needed to go, and maybe not the most effective place for her given how she built muscle and how extreme her exercises had to be because of it, she'd recently not had the choice to come here regardless thanks to her red rage incident. She'd been banned from exerting physical strain in public places like this, but months without an incident and bam, she was free to come back here. it wasn't like she'd make a habit of it anyway, but she may as well see what she'd been missing right? Right. Trying to get the full effect she'd slammed several barbell weights on a pair of dumbells, doing cross-lifts to get the blood pumping and her muscle going. It was admittadly a bit of a strain, especially since she had to be consistantly conscious that she wasn't crossing the line into any of her 'Red state'. "Gaaagh..." With a relief sigh she dropped the dumbells once her reps were done, enough force from their drop that it turned a fair few heads in the gym. Mia, in a sports bra and sweatpants, sat back down on a nearby piece of equipment, pulling at the towel hanging around her shoulders and swiping the already damp clothe against her continuously sweating forehead, her red gaze idly drifting over the crowd around her, deep slow breaths as she relaxed and felt the burn in her arms... this gym seemed to accomodate other mutants and quirkers so it was interesting to see who stood out. A red guy with forearms, some lizard guy lifting dumbells with their tongue, that made her chuckle a bit... one woman she sorta recognized but she couldn't say from where, narrowing her gaze as she tried to pinpoint the memory in the back of her head. "I know you...?" She lightly let out to the woman who'd been on the benchpress a moment ago.

While teaching people self defence and quirk control was nice and dandy. G just wanted to sometimes work on himself at the Gym. You think if he owns his Gym he'd have time to use it. He shook his head and trained, lifting some dumbbells. He was sitting on a bench and just working it. He mostly kept to himself and whistled. But due to being a summoner rather than a mutant. His feats werent as impressive as the mutant ones. Like someone who was in their 1000's. He like did 60 and already got tired and sore. After all, compared to his Quirk, he was the squishy soft human
And thats when he saw Redhorn in the flesh. He was surprised to see her. Was she a regular and he'd always just miss her? Or did she come here after that infamous ragey moment. Also what if she goes ragey again? Does he get to brawl her? Well that thought wasnt finished as he soon saw her doing a ludicrous feat with the AMOUNTS OF WEIGHTS ON 2 DUMBBELLS
His jaw dropped "I-I we we can do that!" he told to no one in particular. Mostly himself. And being the competitive boy that he was and being the owner of a quirk friendly gym that he was. He used his own Quirk and summoned Goliath who looked mildly confused "Go on! Work it! Lift weights! Maximum!" G told his summon who nodded and complied and lifted a very heavy barbell. Up and down up and down. The summon lifted it as if it was a dumbbell that G had in his hand. Goliath could lift 6000 kilograms of weight at max, so he was able to do with this barbell. The trickier part for Goliath was getting a grip, since its claws werent very ... fingery and opposable thumbs. It wasnt the most convienent grabbable thing. G rested and watched his summon train. After all, if his Quirk worked out, then that means he worked out as well.

Was there really anyone who would be surprised to see Tony visit a gym? The guy was a fitness nut! Unless he was sleeping, there was almost never a moment where the man was not exercising in one form or another. It was not just because he was a pro-hero and needed to always stay in shape to fight crime. Tony just really loved to work up a good sweat. How else would he have the muscular body he took great pride in?
The one great thing about this particular gym was that quirks were allowed. So Centaurion was free to get a workout in as well as Tony! Seeing as the beast loved to be out and free to do whatever it wished, it was no surprise that it was a fan of the gym. The place even had reinforced punching bags so that Centaurion could punch things without sending them flying or putting holes through them.
Upon arriving, Tony was pleasantly surprised to see several familiar faces. Two heroines he had met before, and the guy from the beach. That was quite a while ago! If any of them greeted Tony, the man would say hi back. Otherwise, it was exercise time!
Summoning the lion-faced centaur, Tony smiled as he watched the beast get on one of the very sturdy treadmills. He knew how happy Centaurion got whenever it got to gallop so freely. And with a brief yet loud roar, Centaurion began to do just that. Galloping pretty fast, starting at a decent pace while gradually picking up speed. "Centaurion! Remember your previous record? Break that and I'll treat you to some steak later!" Nothing like a good motivation to make the beast strive to improve. The beast grinned and nodded before running faster and faster. "SMAAAAAASH!!"
In the meantime, Tony decided to try his hand on some weightlifting. He noticed how much the horned heroine could lift, then chuckled to himself. He knew there was no way he could hope to match her impressive strength right now. But nothing was impossible. Someday, he would be able to get to her level. But no, that was not good enough for him. Tony would not be satisfied until he could someday surpass Red Horn in strength. The road would not be easy, far from it in fact. But Tony was always up for a challenge. Always strove to improve himself. The fires of determination were too strong to let die so easily.
And with that, it was time to get to work! Getting on a nearby bench, Tony put several weights at each end of the barbell. Once he was satisfied with how much he planned to lift (500 kilograms seemed like a good place to start, right?), Tony began to get to work, keeping count as he lifted the barbell. Naturally in Spanish, of course.
Uno... Dos... Tres... Quatro... Cinco... Seis... Siete...
Not that this was a piece of cake by any means, but it was not really very difficult at all. Tony had lifted heavier in the past. But he preferred to start easy and work his way up.

It had been a while since the incident with the roving undead created through Loki's machinations, but Kado could swear she could still feel the decaying touch of that bastard when he had affected her Summon. She had sworn to never feel helpless again but that night... It had shown her that she needed to work on her own attributes and not just rely on Thorn to handle all the hard work for her.
And so, after some questioning of her student based staff, the red head had found herself at "The Gym". Bit of a simple name, but it seemed to be doing pretty well for itself. Three floors, and a basement pool setup according to the directory here. After some though regarding what to do, and some advice from her staff once more, Kado had opted to go for a course of cardio training...
Whatever that meant. All she knew was that it was going to involve a treadmill and running. If it was going to help make her fitter and stronger than she currently was, she'd give it a try. So it was that she went up to the second floor of the gym, her hair tied back into a high ponytail to keep it out of the way, and a simple red vest, red running shoes, and black shorts.
What greeted her sight when she arrived though was a little... nerve-wracking. For starters, the former Number One Pro-Hero Red Horn was here, lifting weights that looked like they could very easily be double if not triple Kado's own weight. Then there was another Pro-Hero with their Quirk out on the treadmills... and what looked like a gangster type of person with a weight lifting bug...
Thankfully none of them looked familiar in the "professional" sense to her. She hadn't run into any of them during her stints as Thurisaz, and it wasn't like Kado was intending or even remotely planning on bringing out her Quirk for this physical training. Especially not now in a room practically full of Pro-Heroes. She highly doubted that even one of Sonya's infamous Ishtar Wishes would be able to help her get out of that kind of mess...
Kado took a slow breath before making her way over towards an empty treadmill, eyeing the device up carefully before stepping onto its blackened surface. The controls seemed simple enough from what Kado could glean from the machine's panel in front of her. Up and down arrows with the picture of mountains between them no doubt meant the angle of the machine, whilst the plus and minus signs were to increase and decrease the speed of the treadmill.
"Seems simple enough..." the red head muttered to herself, turning the machine on and deciding to start herself off at a gentle jog for a few minutes. Nothing she wasn't unfamiliar with so far from her usual non-mechanised jogs around the Tokyo and Musutafu parks. So she decided to increase the speed by a few points, forcing herself into a run.
The red head then spotted a Question Mark button next to the incline gauge and decided to give that a whirl... Her eyes widened as the treadmill suddenly began to adjust its pitch at random moments, all whilst maintaining her current speed setting. For the most part it was manageable, and she kept going for a while like this.
But then it hit a "steep" setting for thirty seconds before then sharply dipping downwards! Kado bit back a curse as she nearly lost her footing and smacked herself against the panel of the treadmill, her hands gripping onto the rails at the sides of the treadmill, her hands like they were a vice against the machine. The tread itself continued to spin, uncaring and unheeding that its user's legs were currently dangling in the air as Kado held herself aloft by the rails.
It was then that Kado realised that she was in a little bit of a predicament. She couldn't let go of the rails in order to get the machine to slow down, or else she'd probably injure herself in the process... But she couldn't hold herself like this in the air forever. Sooner rather than later, her arms were going to give out and she would inevitably drop onto the spinning treadmill and quite possibly be catapulted somewhere into the Gym.
"Umm... a little help? Please?" she asked weakly, her face turning as red as her top at finding herself vulnerable like this in front of all these muscle bound heroes and other people. She was just glad that Sonya or any of the other people that she actually knew were here to see her like this. She looked like a bloody cat stuck up a tree for crying out loud!

One by one, people started to file in the gym. Some that RJ knew and some that she didn't. She had heard about Redhorn a couple of times from Desmoshi. She used to be number one on the charts for pro. But something happened a few months back where Redhorn lost it and there was a city brawl throughout Tokyo. But other than that, RJ thought she was solid. Mizuki was a part of it, although she didn't talk about it much. Her niece was still iffy on pro heroes, and she of kind why.
Then there was G. She met him on the beach. He was cool people, although Rin thought him differently than Jeanne did. But by the end of it, they agree that he was a good person. Wasn't he number one on the vigilante list? She had no room to talk or judge. RJ was a vigilante in New York before coming to Japan. Jokai had made it clear that they should not attempt that vigilante crap here though. She laughed a little when he had his summon do the workout instead. Maybe they were like connected like how Jeanne and Rin were. Both got the benefits when RJ worked out, so maybe it worked that way.
Antonio was another cool dude. He met him at the nightclub when all the pro heroes gathered. Although some parts were fuzzy for RJ, she remembered having a good time with the big guy. Of course, he would come to a gym. From how he was built it was obvious. And he has a lion-centaur too. Nice. No villain would ever dare try taking that thing on. Before she made her way to the treadmill, Redhorn stopped her and ask had they met before. "Hmmm..." RJ said, thinking. "Well, maybe at the nightclub or the association. Perhaps the beach." Those were the only places she had been in. It could be possible she had seen her in one of those places. "Not sure. But just in case, my name is RJ Haymaker and I'm new here. I was just about..."
Their conversation was cut short when someone asked for help. Seems like someone was having trouble with the treadmills. "To be continued," RJ said to Redhorn before going over to help. She pushed the red button which said "Stop" hopefully cutting the machine off. "Are you okay?" she asked the red-haired woman, helping off the machine if she needed it.

Mia wasn't the type to frequent nightclubs, or the beach but... the association? What did she mean by that? "The hero association?" She'd ask to try and get a clearer idea of what she was talking about but it seemed she'd caught her halfway to another piece of equipment anyway, shaking her head and letting the woman go off on her way, briefly chuckling as she spotted the difficult time a cute red head was having on the treadmill. It was an issue she'd seen often enough on the past and it was part of why a lot of treadmills had the 'rip-cord' style pin you hooked onto your clothes. Made sure the device stopped if you tripped or slipped or anything like that. RJ seemed to have it in hand so she'd leave her to it, glancing about the gym.
"Hey nice buddy there big guy… I mean-“ She gestured between the bug guy and the grey haired fellow next to them who she vaguely recognized, but it was definitely a long time ago at this point and she didn’t really trust her memory on the matter. (pretty sure they met once at semper fi). “I assume you two aren’t separate people given one of you just appeared out of thin air. Summon right?”

G was pedantic when pedantic was needed to be. He hid his tattoo's with makeup and he dressed like an average person, he wasnt stupid to be Vigilante dressed 24/7. He had a social life outside of this. His civillian life. At day he was your friendly Gym Leader aka the owner of this establishment, helping train people and teaching some newbs self defence. At night he was a Vigilante who would patrol the streets and fight crime if there was crime to be fought. You couldnt really point to him and say 'Hey thats G'. He wasnt like the Pro heroes where they had their faces plastered on billboards, commercials, interviews or whatever they do these days.
Still, now he was a civillian who trained. But being competitive as he was and feeling just a tad small compared to the powerhouses that were the heroes, he thought he could try and 'compete' with them. Even if it was one sided and they didnt know they were competing. Although soon, he heard a voice and looked up a vaguely familiar face. It was Redhorn. He didnt see her in forever. Last he seen her it was 2 years ago maybe? It was before her fame exploded. And back then his Quirk didnt work due to his then weak mental state. G's Quirk is essentially psyche manifestation. A summon. Thus when his psyche was out of whack or whatever. His quirk was not functional. Ah yes, he remembered. When he tried to meditate or calm his mind. He really was shit back then. It was incredibly how things change. Still though, the two finally interacted. And now Goliath backed let down the barbell and walked behind G to try and hide "Uhhh,. yeah...thats my Quirk that didnt work back then?... I dont know if you remember me, but Im the guy who said that my Quirk didnt work. Its all better now" he told her and then looked back at Goliath "He keeps me company in the Gym and acts as a janitor" which was kind of true. Why pay a janitor when you had a summon that was pretty good with a broom? Granted they did have clean up for real as well

Kado gave a sigh of relief as a pink woman with an impressive head of hair on her head came to her rescue. "I'll be fine. Physically." she replied to the woman's question if she were okay. "Emotionally though... Well that might take a stiff drink." the red head said with a chuckle, lowering her legs back down onto solid unmoving ground.
"Ever thought of becoming a Pro-Hero? You seem to be great at getting cats out of trees." Kado partially joked as she collected her water bottle from the treadmill and took a quick gulp. The red head wiped her mouth, then glared at the machine she had been having issues with. "I am going to kill whichever one of my staff it was that made the suggestion of a treadmill..." Kado grumbled, pouting at the device.
She rubbed the back of her neck and sighed. "Sorry, I do apologise. Where are my manners?" the red head mused. "Kado Nisshoku, owner and manager of Eclipsian Florists just down the street from here." she said, introducing herself to her gym saviour. She gave enough of a pause for the pink skinned woman to reciprocate the introduction if she so chose to do so.
"I don't suppose you've got any advice for a gym noob about how to get into better shape?" Kado asked. "The recent... undead situation demonstrated that I need to get into better condition than I'm in at the moment." the red head admitted.
"I usually just do morning runs to keep in shape, hence the choice of using the... death machine." she explained, figuring that maybe this person was more of a regular than she was, and might have a better idea of what to do in order to get into better shape than she was in currently.

Veintiuno... Veintidós... Veintitres... Veinticuatro... Veinticinco...
Tony kept mentally counting as he continued weightlifting. It was honestly getting rather boring to life up weights this light (in his opinion). Perhaps it was better to start increasing the weights now. But then something happened that made him want to set the barbell aside. Someone was in need of assistance! Tony was ready to stop the lifting and go assist the lady in need of help.
Or at least he would have if someone else hadn't got there first. Tony sighed in relief. It did not matter that someone got there before he could. As long as the lady was no longer in danger, then all was well. Though upon closer inspection, Tony realized that the helpful lady looked awfully familiar. Ah right, it was that lady from back at the bar! RJ Haymaker. Tony had a good time at the pro-hero gathering back in that bar, so seeing a familiar face from back then made him smile.
"Good to see you're alright." Having arrived after gently putting down the barbell, Tony walked towards the ladies just in time to hear the redhead introduce herself. Sure, he could have just gone back to weightlifting, but he could do that at any time. It was not like the gym equipment was going anywhere. Ah, so she's the owner of that flower shop I've been meaning to pay a visit to sometime. A few of his friends had told him about the shop, and while Tony had not yet had the time to check the place out himself, he was intrigued from what he had heard of the place.
While he did hear Kado's question, Tony was not nosy enough to feel the need to interrupt a conversation. He may be mostly muscle, but there was indeed a brain beneath all that brawn. The man was not rude. Still, Tony was more than happy to assist with any advice on staying in shape, since the man practically did that every single day.
Meanwhile, Centaurion was still galloping on the treadmill. The beast was slowly getting tired, as its stamina paled in comparison to Tony's. Still, it would not give up so easily. Not only was Centaurion far too stubborn, but there was no way it would ever pass up the chance to earn a nice steak for its hard work.
As it continued to gallop, the beast took a moment to glance at the other summon in the room. It began to wonder if that bug-looking thing was as fierce and menacing as it looked. The only thing Centaurion loved more than running and steak was a good fight. Would it get to have a sparring match? Regardless, there was more running to do. Centaurion was far from done.

Antonio had came over to check and see if the lady was alright. RJ gave a thumbs up to muscular man. As he went elsewhere to workout, she made a note to get some advice from him later on weightlifting. RJ gave her trademark smile as she helped the woman off the treadmill. "Hey it happens," RJ said. "At least you are okay."
The woman introduced herself as Kado Nisshoku, owner and manager of Eclipsian Florists. "Oooh, flowers," RJ said. "That must be a fun job." RJ made a note to herself to pick up some flowers when she got the time for Selena. Although she was the sidekick to the Informant now, Selena was still not happy how RJ might had got the file. The fact was that RJ hadn't even told her how she got any of those files. She needed to talk to the Informant first before making any moves to come clean to her.
Kado asked for tips for getting in shape due to the recent events. RJ nodded; that was why she came over as a pro in the first place. Jokai had explained to her how many things went wrong here in Japan and thought that her image could help brighten things up. The recent of the issues being a zombie apocalypse apparently. What were the chances of that happening? "Well, if you want," RJ said, "I was going to hit the elliptical. It strengthens the legs in a slower pace, but it helps build you up for running again. Plus its great for cardio."

"Riiiight I remember now... I thought I could tease you into a fight to try and get it going again as an instinct. Heh. Wasn't the brightest bulb even a year ago huh?" She teased herself a little with that comment, rubbing at the back of her neck as she realized exactly how bad an idea that had probably been at the time. She noticed how the summon seemed to shift behind the guy himself, leaning back on her hands a little. "He seems rather shy for such a big guy..." Honestly she was curious if he was as tough as he looked, a rather sizeable creature afterall, maybe with some good muscle under the armor like plating...
"Well maybe it'll sound a little less dumb askin' if you wanna spar or somethin' now that you actually got your quirk going. Or, rather, I guess I'm askin that summon of yours if it wants to go a few rounds..." She teased with a smirk, the offer to go a few rounds just a joke at the end of the day, not invested enough in a chance to see what the summon was made of to actually put a civilian in danger like that.
Her ears briefly twitched as something caught her attention, looking back over to the rather beautiful red head who'd been having trouble before, catching what they just said and walking over with a smirk, leaning over a nearby piece of equipment. "Sorry beautiful, couldn't help but hear you say you were havin' trouble. If you need an extra set of hands I'd be plenty happy to help.~" She'd been a little off her game lately but a beautiful red head asking for help? Who wouldn't jump at an opportunity like that? Of course she wasn't a pushy woman at the end of the day if she said no.

"Heheheh, no worries. Man, I wish you could've just teased me into a fight. That'd make my life sooo much easier" G said and chuckled a bit as he glanced at his summon for a moment who was hiding behind G. "Uhhh, yeah well believe it or not. He might be tough, but he is a bit of a sensitive soul." G said as he patted his isopod summon on the head. He then looked back at Mia "I mean, if you want, I'd be happy to oblidge to you and spar with you Quirk against Quirk. But considring we at a Gym. I do fear us accidentaly breaking something. Its not you. I mean it can be us as well. My summon can be destructive as well, Although part of me thinks we're bad sparring partners. We tend to underperform when sparring so we dont hurt someone. He has his teeth and claws and swords. He can hurt people in so many ways, we tend to nerf ourselves a bit too much when sparring. We cant find that sweet spot of sparring toughness. We go from Hard mode to Easy mode. Cant find a healthy middle" G explained his other dillemma to Redhorn ermm Mia.
He'd love to spar with her. But he still doesnt wanna hurt her. But also doesnt wanna give himself away that he's a Vigilante or something. But he was honest about sparring, he cant find a healthy middle to spar with. When he goes easy on people, he really does go too easy as he is afraid of hurting people who are not as skilled and as tough fighters. Hell, even Mia. He doesnt want to make her bleed. Its not a matter of confidence and skill that he's stronger or whatnot. He just doesnt wanna hurt someone who's not a villain.
Although it seemed Mia was on the same wavelength as him as she also said it migt be less dumb to ask if he wants to spar now since he has a quirk going. She teased with a smirk. G crossed his arms and smirked back, slowly getting in a more competitive spirit. Slowly leaving his more civillian side thats too concerned with stuff. Like he knows it be bad if he hurts his clients. But this is Redhorn and she is a challenge "We can rumble if you're like a 100% sure" he told her
Meanwhile as G spoke with Mia. Goliath looked away and saw Centaurion on a treadmill and looked at it. While G was being competitive with Mia. Goliath felt he needed to show Centaurion who was the alpha and omega summon. Though he felt a pity that he cant leave G's side to go poke the Centaurion and see whats he made of. Although, G grabbed his attention with a Mia spar. He put his claw on G's shoulder and nodded that he did wanna fight Mia. Because what better way to show who was the superior summon, than by beating up the physically toughest pro hero. "Huh... seems like someone wants to fight"

Well it seemed that now all the heroes were converging on her, after she'd already been rescued from the demonically possessed treadmill. If that wasn't a sign of the times, Kado didn't know what was. The woman who'd helped save her from the exercise machine made some musings about her business. "It can be for most of the year. Except come times like Valentines and such. Those days I really need either more staff, a bigger store or both preferably." she partially joked.
Before she could give a reply to the pink skinned woman, RedHorn herself came wandering over and... began to flirt with her?! The red head had to pause and process that for a moment before she began to burst into a fit of giggles. The whole situation was just far too surreal. Here she was, a villain in a gym filled with Pro-Heroes, who had slept with the number one villain Ishtar and was in some kind of relationship with her... and she was now getting hit on by one of the top ten Pro-Heroes in Japan!
Kado quickly set about composing herself and gave a light cough into a clenched hand to still her giggles. "I am so sorry about that. Was definitely not expecting one of Japans top ten heroes to start flirting with me today." she explained, although now that the offer was there...
"Maybe after I've done a decent amount on the elliptical," said Kado, gesturing to her pink skinned rescuer who she still hadn't caught the name of yet, "you can, how does that phrase go... spot me on some weights?" the red head inquired of the massive blonde. Kado sincerely doubted this would go anywhere other than maaaybe dinner at best... But it might worth a laugh later if it did go further down the line. The look on Sonya's face would probably be priceless enough.
"Although, if you're tired after your sparring session with the oversized aphid there," she said with a nod towards the white haired man's bug-like Summon, "I'll understand if you pass." Kado said, offering the Pro-Hero a mild taunting challenge and partial incentive for later on.

RJ rolled her three eyes behind her visor with a smile. Even as pros, they still behaved as any adult would- being flirtatious and whatnot. It was cute to see the red behemoth being smooth the redhead. 'Reminds of a certain someone when we first started dating,' Rin chimed in RJ's brain. Jeanne gave a mental 'pfffft' before continuing with her wife. 'I was nothing like that,' Jeanne said with a small huff. 'I was the perfect gentlewoman. I was very well-behaved." Rin snickered as she did Jeanne's voice. 'Hey, baby. Are you an angel? 'Cause you must have fell right out of heaven.' Jeanne huffed at her partner as her partner roared with laughter. 'That is not at all what I said. And that's not how it goes.'
RJ snickered lightly as the two people that made her playfully argued in her head. "Excuse me," she said calmly. "I had to sneeze. But yes. Once we are done with the elliptical, then you can- help her with the weights." She pointed behind Redhorn at Gabriel and the giant metal bug that made up the dynamic duo.
