It wasn't that she didn't have a hero license when they hired her... Alisa just happened to lose it, and so far, had been pretty much dragging her feet when it came to getting it renewed. The school allowed her to keep teaching and the lack of a licence allowed her a bit of extra freedom to move. She wasn't a vigilante by any stretch... But she still had certain foes she wished to dispose of, and this lack of a Hero status provided her with a chance to deal with some unfinished business. Kasey, however, was completely unrelated to all of this, not to mention the sculptres wasn't in any way concerned with it at this time, how could she when she had such interesting company taking up all of her attention:
"As impressive as that sounds, I actually agree with you there~", she spoke, nodding at what she assumed was an ironic little quip and not really an inner argument with an entity Alisa had no reason to know was even there. Little did she know how preoccupied the girl before her really felt, wondering just what manner of plans did Alisa had for her and what place she even had in them. Had she known, she'd have probably been more assertive in reassuring her.
Thus, while Kasey was busy trying to figure out whatever mysterious motives the teacher might have, Alisa merely settled for figuring her out. She'd come all the way here for as innocent a reason as simply getting to know her, and a few minutes in she'd already realized there was so much more to her than met the eye. Seemed almost surprising for her to suddenly offer her some food, and the sculptress' wine red gaze promptly drifted back down: "My, thank you, that sounds delightful~", that plush, pale pink smile brightening ever so slightly, Alisa all but reached a hand on her chest, thinking to herself that Kasey must have surely caught on to the curious glances she'd been shooting that pretty box and the tasty treats it held, the sculptress reached out and picked a pink one, strawberry flavour no doubt, plopping it into her mouth as she let out a low, delighted hum as the sweetness all but radiated through her whole body, "Mmmm~.... Tastes delightful too~"
She had to admit... It looked kinda cute watching Kasey fumbling over an answer, and for all the genuine curiosity towards her answer, Alisa couldn't help but giggle. Well, she did have to admit though... When she'd come to look for her, she didn't actually expect her to be this pretty. Really, Alisa knew fully well what a person could do in Akihabara even if the wasn't the kind of place she'd normally go through. What really kept her brow raised was Kasey's answer:
"Oh, that sounds fun. It's a date then~", flirted the sculptress, winking right back, silently noting how those two obvious options were naturally. After all, she couldn't help but glance at the nibbled macaron in her mouth, before plopping that half into her mouth too, raising a hand over it as she spoke, "I'd sure hope we start with the shop where you got these macarons~"
Mind you, she hadn't been seriously asking the woman out on a date, after all, they'd only just met. That wasn't really the reason why she'd come all this way to meet her. Probably expecting some awkward, confused reply, Alisa still couldn't help but tease the girl a little. Nothing personal after all, the teacher often did that with most people, but granted, Kasey would most likely not know that. Well, in all fairness, if she did indeed agree to join her, Alisa wouldn't really be opposed.
...She'd enjoyed every second spent with her so, why on earth would she object to more?

She had no license, and by extension, had no real rules to follow. With enough money, you could buy your way out of anything, and as Sato proved, you could buy your way into anything as well. A license would be nice, but it wasn't a license to kill, just paperwork that let you operate in public, and apprehend people committing a crime. That being said, if it was in private, it was useless if no one knew about it. And if you couldn't prove the crime, or if it was something that had yet to happen, the court of law would be the one to persecute. She didn't need the certification. Kasey arrived, and when she left, she would leave near to nothing that they existed. A vanished person, never to be found, no body to be buried. Small talk was not her forte, as was well, any talking in general. How Kasey had gotten this way without putting herself in a corner with no way out, was a feat in itself. She kept her cool, mostly, and kept her drama self contained. The panic within her would have to be solved another time. She could wait. It wasn't like she was going to be trapped here all day. An extended hand, all the while Kasey's eyes traced her fingers, both the one fetching a treat, and the one set upon herself. A strange thing, but it wasn't like she had tricks up her sleeve. But that being said, she was a teacher. She must have had a quirk. The question was, what was it? It wasn't like she could read minds, right? No, it was comical how the quirks of the teacher matched their profession in some way. Literature. Knowledge? Well, that could have been anyone's guess. She looked relatively normal, did that mean her quirk was an emitter? No, that wasn't a fair assumption, Kasey looked normal and her quirk was far from such. As she bit into her snack, Kasey's mind wandered off again. Until, ". . . wait what." a date? No, that wasn't right. It must have been a play with words. She was just trying to buy more time for whatever real reason she was there for. She wasn't actually interested in Kasey, right? That would have been odd. Being a teacher and seeking to have a relationship with the former janitor? Seemed like a weird fantasy, but it wasn't impossible, but was unlikely. Right? that being said, if it played out that way, she would again have her connection with the school again. It did benefit her in a way, but did that mean she was using the woman? No, she was using Kasey first. It was only fair. "I think?" she wondered to herself, trying to pinpoint when this mess first unfolded. "I uhm... Okay." A date. Right. Play it cool. All she had to do was remain calm. Yet, her eyes refused to look up at her, they drifted again, falling below... right back to her-... "My treat." she would say, part of her speaking out of politeness, but other part of her knowing the teachers damn well did not make close to what Kasey had. It was only fair. But, now that she offered, she missed a chance to see her wallet, and any information that may have provided an answer. "Oh my god woman, it's just a date. She hasn't even licked you. It's not that serious." A reference to an existing skewed view on love. An echo left behind of what Yuri once used to mean to her. Kisses were meaningless gestures to show that you cared. They meant nothing more, nothing less than a hug. The exchange and dance between lips was just interest. But to someone you loved, was to lick their face. That was how things were. And it wasn't something that would happen soon. There was no way that teacher knew that about Kasey. There was no way that random occurrence would happen. "Shut the fuck up Setsuki." he replied, another battle within her mind. "You gonna sleep over at her house or yours?"A sigh as she tried to again gather herself. "It's only around the corner." Kasey would say with a forced smile. ~ Word Count: 709 ~ |

Indeed, a hero license can help with the bureocratic side of things, but when it comes to bringing down villains, she did just as good a job as a vigilante. The public's trust in the faces of Heroes goes a long way though, and the ability to remove one's masks often proves vital. If the two women ever were to open up to one another, they'd inevitably find a lot more to discuss. For now though, each of them all but tested the waters as the quizzical Alisa watched how Kasey's eyes washed over the sculptress' dainty, elegant digits. Even now she could probably noticed the calloused hints on her knuckles hinting at her preference for Martial arts, even if deducing her quirk seemed a bit of a stretch. But in the end, nothing felt quite as big a stretch as her accepting to go on a date with a woman she barely even knew. Well... That was surprising. Kasey might have spotted that subtle flaring of her eyes as her lips parted ever so slightly, somewhat baffled that the girl not only assumed Alisa had been serious, but also said yes. Even though they'd only met a few minutes ago. Well, stranger things had happened, and as she giggled gracefully once more, that ever present smile returned to her face: "Fufu~... You really are interesting. The faculty were absolute idiots to let you go if you ask me.", replied the sculptress, clearly pleased with how everything turned out in the end. Or maybe Kasey just saw through her mischief and decided to give her a taste of it too? Maybe... But it would appear at least some of her interest was genuine, judging by the way her eyes drifted downwards. Amused at the sight as a gint of mirth drew in her eyes, Alisa subtly squished her upper arm into the side of her chest as her hand slid up to brush her long dark hair, fluffing out that plush, pale valley ever so softly, untroubled by where Kasey's gaze had fallen, and partly wondering how long she'd take to peel her eyes away from her clearly eye catching cleavage. ...Teasing aside, she was going on a date so, her vanity shone though quite a bit more now. More than just her hair, Alisa found herself idly running her hands along the collar of her blouse: "Hmmmm, now that doesn't really sounds fair now does it~...?", as a slight frown drew on her face, the proud Alisa clearly wasn't too keen on having all her expenses paid for, but at the same time, "Well I appreciate the thought regardless. I suppose I'll just find a way to make it up to you~" Little did she know how that relatively calm posture betrayed a broiling storm of worries and emotions. How could have thought that as she thought about spending some time with this intriguing woman who just happened to have worked as a Janitor in her school, the girl herself had been thinking about kisses and loving little face licks: "Ara, a lot closer than I thought it might be...", she added, surprised, looking away from the table where they sat before sliding her long legs over the bench, stepping off it and standing up as her hand came to rest on that that full hip, just along the hem of her jeans, "We should go take a look~"

A licence didn't stop you from doing the right thing, all it did was allow you to do it and not be prosecuted for it. Kasey still managed to save lives. She still killed someone. At the end of the day, she wasn't behind bars, but she had lost her job. At the time, it really felt no different from prison. It was the closest she could get to being a professional hero without all of the paperwork, and now it was all lost. She wasn't prevented from doing the same work, and she continued it, but it felt less rewarding. And as such, she wasn't motivated to move at her full pace. She worked on her preservation, and crafting support for her own goal, rather than the hard work. But none compared to the difficultly that had become this entire conversation. "Well, I mean, they were probably idiots to begin with." One hero was a convicted felon, while others could barely hold their weight. Things may have been different now, but that was how it began. Kasey would never forget that. Not to mention the coddling of certain students rather than the either student population. There was heavy favoritism. But that was what being a hero was. It was always a popularity contest. But at the slight nudge of her arm to prop herself, Kasey's eyes drifted away to stare back at the woman's face, her focus at her lips, then her nose, trying to get close to her eyes without actually making contact. It was close enough, right? "Sure?" Questionable. Make it up to her? That seemed like a trap, or at least that her own actions would force the woman to play her hand. She was up for this game of mental chess. She was going to find out the truth, no matter what the cost was. She tapped her fingernails onto the table rhythmically in thought. She could try to prepare herself for what was to come, but being attacked was not one of the likely outcomes. Given the marks on her hand, Kasey could assume a variation of things, only leaving her with the fact she had fought often. the question was if her quirk aided her in that way, or if it was something opposing her skill. Flight wouldn't play in hand, unless she used it to propel herself forward for more momentum, but spectral wings would no allow it so easy. Perhaps it was something with durability? But then the marks would be unlikely, unless it was how she prepared to battle. A method of training without the use of her quirk, to make it even more strong. Her mind drifted away, focused on the woman's lips, watching them part with each spoken word. As she got up, Kasey's gaze would follow her, taking a moment to catch up, getting up a few moments after, taking the box in hand, closing it. "Yeah yeah, it's just that way." She would say pointing in the direction. "Plus today is the bonus sale, so you get more, but only on today."~ Word Count: 516 ~ |

Alisa would probably need to renew her license at some point... For the time being, such plans were the furthest they could be from her mind. She had her students to look out for, especially now that you had Villains putting out hits on their heads, multinational companies hoping to recruit them for whatever agendas they had... But even those concerns weight little on the crystal woman's mind as her unexpected date stood up from her table. Well, this was quite the interesting turn of events, for both of them Alisa figured...
She seldom made significant efforts to antecipate where such chance encounters would end up, and this was one of those times. Better this way, to go with the flow and see where it went. After all, she'd only just begun to get to know the mysterious Crimson Skull, but even if she had known her for a while, Alisa had the distinctive impression Kasey wasn't the easiest person to predict... Not by a longshot:
"Indeed, but who knows...", she shrugged, rubbing her head softly, before taking a moment to adjust her blouse, running her hands down the silky soft fabric, smoothing out the kinks as she smiled almost awkwardly, "Maybe they'll get smarter in the long run. A girl can dream~"
Now that she stood up, Alisa finally had the chance to scan her head to toe, gaze washing down from her eyes, tracing her slender, elegant curves. Taking in her hip and stylish choice of wardrobe, that short top baring a fair few inches of her taunt midriff, hinting at how the girl kept herself in shape... Though subtle in her admiration, not quite crossing the boundaries of elegance she clearly cherished so much, Alisa's smile widened ever so slightly in appreciation, before nodding at her words: "Ara, sounds like you must come by here a lot~...?", she inquired, brow arching as she strolled side by side with her impromptu date, still finding the whole situation impossibly amusing, but not in any way unpleasant. Quite the opposite, after all... What could possibly be wrong with going on a date with beauty like her who intrigued her so, other than the fact that, well... They didn't really know each other? But a whimsical woman like Alisa could hardly let that bother her as she turned aside to look at her, brushing her hair behind her ear as the occasional breeze sent it fluttering about. In the end though, she finally peeled her eyes away from her, glancing off into the distance as she brought a finger to her plush lips, "Hmmm... You know, I don't believe I ever had any macarons like the ones I'd eat back in France." Alisa seldom mused about her home country, why would she... She hadn't exactly left for the most pleasant of reasons, quite the opposite, even if it was hardly the country's fault. Her chest heaved softly as she let out a low sigh, turning back to Kasey as she added "Yours were a pretty close second though~", she, for the most part letting the girl lead the way, content to watch her going about her usual business. Even if she imagined her usual business didn't involve joining random teachers on a date... As she strolled around with her, Alisa couldn't help but think how she really hadn't spent much time in Akihabara since coming to Japan. She could find her way around, sure... But odds were Kasey would have a much better ideas as to what kind of interesting things they could do here.

With each passing day, ASTA left more and more of a sour taste in her mouth. Perhaps part of it was jealously, or simply anger in the manner she had gone about it. That woman was bold enough to flaunt her civilian identity to villains, while trying to play hero. She was disgusting. But in a way, she was doing what Kasey was failing to. She wasn't doing things for fame, she was doing things because it was the right thing to do. That woman had shady underhanded tactics, yet, Kasey tolerated it. All of it just another step in her massive plan. It would serve in time. People were foolish to not see her past her mask, but to out her, would to be a hypocrite. It wasn't something that she was focused on. For now, she was making her small steps towards Thundershock. A new clan, one that would long outlast the Yakuza. History and heritage would not stand to honor. The only thing the Kobayashi clan lacked. Chance encounters and random events were one of the few constants in her life. She never knew what to expect, and much less who to expect. People were mysterious and all had their own motivations. They were messy people. People were inconstant. but values, were things that would remain as constant and written law. All she needed, was an enforcer. Perhaps it was time to grow in numbers, to expand. Or, maybe it was time to trust some people to do what they were good at. A teacher? That gave her more connections. She already had eyes on the inside, but sight only let her go so far... . . . Kasey watched for a moment while she fixed her blouse, only to take a few steps to lead in the simple direction. She hoped that school would improve staff, and maybe they did. Was this woman a good example of what they had now? Who was to say. They did have Redhorn now, and she was leagues better than Darkshine. Kasey would hold the box at her side, opposite of the woman. "Often, but not for long." it was a weird thing to admit to, but still was the truth. "Lots of traveling back and forth, comes with the job i suppose." That information would be enough to bury her with the right prodding questions. Her first slip, one that she would regret as she spoke. "I don't think I've been to France." She thought for a moment, narrowing her brows. She certainly had been around Asia. Italy was one for Europe. Russia counted, sort of. "Yeah nope, not France." her mind lingered on Korea again for a moment. It might have been the most peaceful place, and home to her great deity, but with it, a sorrowful reminder of one of her greatest failues. ". . . Good to know I'm not missing much then." close second? That meant they were better, but not by much. Unless it was a joke. Was she saying she had poor taste? Was it a joke on her spending? Or, maybe she should just take it for face value. Maybe they were a close second. They were hard to make, and as such, it was either bad, or good. Surely that's what she was talking about. There was no hidden messages, probably. She led the way, eventually landing at a mostly empty shop. Only what looked to be half of what they normally had, but if a box filled with one of each, would be easy enough. Their prices fairly affordable. The man behind the counter waving to Kasey, to which she waved back. It wasn't that she was a regular, it was simply put that the man worked for her. Though, for more darker things."You want second box today?" he'd ask, only for Kasey to look over to the woman with her. "well, that's up to her." She spoke a bit more, pointing at Alisa with her thumb. Only to look over at her, then the selection. "I like to get different ones. If you just close your eyes and reach into the box, you'll always be surprised, even with a flavor you've had before."". . . Well, she's not wrong.""See, even he thinks it's a great idea."It was his idea. He was the one that told Kasey that garbage. ~ Word Count: 724 ~ |

Mixing vague concepts like heroism with good old fashioned capitalism never ends well. In many ways, old school vigilantes had that advantage over modern Pro Heroes. Operating outside the law, they couldn't be legally endorsed. Back in those days, only those truly devoted to bringing down villains could thrive under such harsh conditions. The earliest iterations of UA suffered greatly from this, from what she heard. All the haphazard, mishappen bureocracy tying them all down until the poor students would feel more like civil servants with Quirks than actual heroes.
Indeed, Alisa wasn't here for it, but she heard too little good and far too abundant ill tales of Darkshine's time in UA. Mind you she'd never met the woman, so she had little to judge outside of her student's opinion. Taking it for what it was worth, it certainly told her that she was no doubt noe the ideal person for the job: "Hmmm, I'll admit, your job certainly does sound like quite a troublesome one... I can only admire your dedication really~...", spoke the sculptress, looking on ahead as her eyes fell on the Macaron shop up ahead... Look at that, it really was just around the corner. Hearing how the girl had never been to France, Alisa's brow rose softly as she smiled, "You most certainly should. I'm sure you'll find something there to captivate you~"
Sliding one arm behind her back, Alisa hooked it her palm idly behind her elbow, chuckling at her choice of words. Well... Kasey really loved her Macarons huh? The teacher made a mental note to get her some if they ever met again, returning the favour for the ones she'd just offered to buy her:
"Well, we have a lot more than Macarons, so I wouldn't dismiss it so quickly~ Nothing quite beats the beach at Côte d'Azur, or the sight of Paris in the fall.", for all her praise, Alisa herself hadn't set foot in her home country for a long time, hell she hadn't even set foot in Europe, "And let's not forget, the food is to die for~" For some reason, her gut told her Kasey would feel more receptive to that last little argument. Unaware of just how much the girl tended to overthink things, Alisa seemed perfectly happy to watch her, admire her reactions, wondering just what exactly did Kasey Setsuna feel passionate about. So far, she'd guess food, after all, the first place she unwittingly chose on a date with a total stranger was... The Macaron shop they found themselves in now, delightfully empty that even Alisa couldn't help but sigh in relief. Clearly, she felt more comfortable with less people around, just taking a deep breath of the cool air, a reprieve from the sweltering heat of summer outside. Reaching over to the counter, Alisa's elbow came to rest there as she leaned over softly, sinking on one hip:
"She seems like she has good taste, so I'll trust her instincts on this one.", she spoke, smiling at the man behind them, glancing at Kasey out the corner of her eyes, shooting a knowing, complicit little wink at the silver haired siren at her side. Her words clearly had an impact on her for Alisa seemed rather taken by the idea, "...That is... A wonderful argument for mixing them up, I'll give you that much~... With so many different flavours, picking the same one every time would feel dreadfully dull." Her order taken, Alisa would have readily reached into her pocket, but remembering how her date insisted on paying for it, the teacher smiled and allowed her to go right ahead, only to open the box as soon as she was done: "Hora~...", she spoke as she picked a macaron from the box, slowly savouring it with a dainty little nibble as she offered Kasey the box, flashing her that cool, yet oddly warm smile as she let her take her pick of her favorite, partly wondering if she'd actually choose her favorite or just randomly dip her hand into the box as she said she might, "...Help yourself, if you'd like... I mean, you bought them after all~" Flashing her that cool smile, Alisa offered one of hers like the most natural thing in the world, and after all, why wouldn't it be? Playful words aside, the girl had gone out of her way to show her a delectable place to eat~... What more could she asked for really?

She had literally just met this woman not that long ago. That being said, she was looking for Kasey the whole time. If she was really hunting for her just for a date, it would have been rude of her to say no. Granted, it was creepy in its own right, but to use the files of her personal information would have been weirder. It wasn't a phone call, or a house visit. Perhaps it was no different than riding the bus in hopes to catch the eye of that person you liked on that one ride. It was creepy, but if it worked out, it was a cute story. There was always a blurred line between creepy and cute. That being said, to operate within the law, meant money. To work under the radar, meant no one could endorse your actions. Everything you did, was under the table. Those that supported you, were just as guilty of the laws you broke, and as such, they were few and far between. Rarely could anyone get assistance. Kasey, well off on her own, and established, not only had all the means to do it herself, bus could easily fund others as well. She operated outside of the means, and with networks in almost every association, she had the perfect cover should anyone ask questions. Not like anyone would. Unless this woman was going to. She listened to her suggestions about the country, only to have dismissed them in thought. She had no interest in entertaining herself with tourism, not while she still had work to do in Japan. The promise of a good meal only went so far while the girl will fed on rotten fruits and even more spoiled people. Maybe, she would commit it to memory, if every county didn't boast about their food having a grand unique taste. Everything tasted better when it was made at the source. But Kasey cared little about macaroons. They simply were something easy to eat, cheap, and could be eaten while she moved. That was it. Perhaps the bits of chocolate were something else to note. The wink was something to throw her off her game. What was she hinting at? Did she sleep with the man? Was this all a set up? Was he the one that told her she was here? She narrowed her brows again in a bit of thought, confused by the matter. She shook the idea, trying to be focused on the matter. "I'll just uh, surprise you then." the man would say, grabbing them at random, and without thought and filling the box. After Kasey would toss him the black credit card, and with a swipe, the purchase was made. The gift handed to the woman. As Kasey was offered she would reach in, seeing a trade of their treats, only that she had bought both, so it wasn't much a trade. but, even was to take the same as her. Kasey looked into the face of the woman, while her own pinky curled. An eye grew from her nail as Setsuna reached out, and placed his choosing between her fingers. "I kinda wanted to know what this one was." he would say to his host, receeding back into the white nails of the woman. Kasey lifted it to her lips, and took a bite. "Well, regardless, thank you for the offer." Without more than biting, she would swallow the treat with minimal chewing. Inside of her body, that creature would spin his own enjoyment to destroy the meal as it landed within her stomach. "Now, where to?" she asked, curious to where this date would take her. ~ Word Count: 612 ~ |

Maybe would have come off as creepy but Alisa certainly didn't see it that way. Kasey had undoubtedly been one of the more powerful people in UA during her time there, without anybody actually bothering to see it. And someone did bother to do so, they just got rid of her. It seemed only natural for a teacher to actually go to the trouble of trying to meet her, just as she was doing now. She was hardly the easiest person to get to known, and understandably so, but if anything, that only titilated the sculptress' endless curiosity. Really, at this point she still didn't really know much than what she started off with, other than meeting her had defenitely been worth her time:
"Sounds perfect~", she replied, nodding as she watched the man filling out a fresh box for her, for which Kasey promptly paid, before the two girls peeled away from the counter. Indeed, it wasn't much of a trade, which meant Alisa had all the more reason to let the girl help herself as much as she wanted. In the end she couldn't really spot much about the woman's tastes as she watched her eat, or rather just plop the whole thing into her mouth, almost gluttonously, in stark contrast to the teacher's own dainty, almost graceful way of eating, holding her hand over her mouth in a way that would have looked more like a Japanese than European. "You're welcome~", replied the sculptress, picking out one more macaron as she heard the girl's question, brow raising as she mused on her question, taking but a moment to swallow before folding her arms under her chest, closing the box of treats as she rose her hand up to her chin, "Hmmmm... Well, you mentioned Macarons and clothes, and, we already have the Macarons... So looking for clothes sounds like a good plan~" Quite honestly, actually getting a read on Kasey seemed like a tall order, and yet that didn't stop Alisa looking into her eyes as she suggested it. She'd have liked to find more about the girl's interests, but for the time being, she'd settle for just seeing what she'd do, opening the door for her once they made their way back outside: "You clearly know your way around this part of of the city better than I do, so... If you had to pick one place to buy clothes, where would you go?", she continued, tilting her head softly as she asked, rubbing her hand behind her neck, almost silently embarassed she'd never actually spent enough time in Akihabara to have a properly formed opinion. In the end, it seemed only natural to let the girl take the lead, after all... They had been going off her suggestions.

"Oh." Clothes. She was really going with whatever Kasey decided? Was she that interested in her? Or was it all a ploy to see what little mannerisms Kasey would display. Maybe there was something she was trying to get on Kasey. She didn't have much beyond her cards, and it wasn't like she had secret keys in her pocket to some locked vault. But that was only one benefit of being able to make things out of bones. How strange. Kasey had been careful and meticulous in her actions. In doing so, most of her alibis were air tight. Her first fall was the Ketsujo !3. And the second making too large of a name. Even then, no one connected that the two vigilantes that rescued her were one of the many identities she gave herself to save those students. Crimson Skull. The overseer was just another title for Setsuna. She had no certification, and with it, no rules to follow. But, she saw the crime as the heroes did, and as such, was first to act. She didn't need to wait on people. She had no one to answer to but herself. Clothing, was a careful thing to answer. A place to frequent, to shed light on her own habits and desires. Her own options had been all over the place, settling for what she got free with her ownership, and whatever she got for change, at thrift stores. "Well, the best way to learn about a city is," well, what did she have to lose? It was just a recommendation. "To actually check out thrift shops. You will easily see the kinds of people that live there, and their own spending habits, other than that, I would say, Madame Rogues." Easily one of the more expensive places in the area. That choice next to ASTA's high end clothing, something Kasey refused to touch. Kasey reached into her box, taking in another bite of another brightly colored treat. There was something strange about the woman, and no matter how hard Kasey tried to move from it, she couldn't last long without it. "I take it you don't live around here then?" A simple question, and one that would answer several factors. She didn't frequent the area, making her an uncommon guest. If she did live nearby, she either took a straight path to work, or had just newly moved in. But seeing as she took to trying to find Kasey, it meant she stayed away from stores, and looked for her, than locations. Ah, the many answers she could learn. ~ Word Count: 432 ~ |

If only Alisa could see all the thoughts bouncing around the mysterious head of hers... But, then, taking a shortcut like that would have most certainly taken all the fun out of getting to know the mysterious beauty at her side. She wasn't really investigating what shady dealings she'd been up, or even trying to seduce her, and something told her that if she did actually express those thoughts, they'd have fallen on deaf ears: "Fufu~... Indeed, that sounds like something I'd do. Watching people going about their daily lives can be quite the interesting way to pass the time.", she chuckled, looking back at Kasey out the corner of her eye, shooting an interested glance her way, smirking playfully as she added, "... And some people more so than others~" It seemed natural for a sculptress like herself to instinctively look out for the next muse. Granted, she'd hardly ever settle for mere voyeurism, no, that wasn't really her style at all... When someone caught her eye, she never hesitated to express it, just as she'd done now. And so she listened attentively, occasionally picking a macaron from her box, plopping it into her mouth, humming as she finally made her choice: "I suppose we'd better start with the thrift shop.", she added, smiling knowingly, almost awkwardly as she reached for her clavicle, still not feeling overly confident at allowing the girl to selfishly cover every last one of their expenses. To her credit, she didn't hesitate to express it, nodding knowingly as she expressed her choice, "Wouldn't want you feeling tempted to buying me designer clothes~" Hardly something to do on a first date, even if Alisa still couldn't help but giggle as she thought of it as such. Really, she'd only came here to meet her and now look at them, idly strolling side by side on the thankfully not so busy street: "La vie est drôle~...", she mused aloud for a moment, smiling as she took in the rather vibrant sights all around her, only turning back to her date as she shook her head, meeting the woman's gaze before looking of in the general direction of the next city over, "I live in Mustafu, no point straying too far from the school, the traffic can be horrendous around here."
Alisa most certainly didn't frequent this part of town... Her words aside, even with a charming cutie at her side she couldn't help but turn her gaze away to the various windows, occasionally slowing down her stride so she could glance at the wares available. More so than clothes, Alisa semeed drawn to uniqueness, odd curios, trinkets and pieces of artwork... But in the end, nothing quite held her attention as well as she did.

She always thought about all of the secret motives and reasons for people to do things. It was the reason she had survived thus long without being prosecuted. She had overthought all of her plans, and left nothing behind to point towards herself. Even with cameras, all it took was a few dozen blind spots and unmarked cars that would be dismantled and rebuilt later for another adventure. She was careful in cleaning up after herself, and then cleaning up Japan. Shift shops ran on donations, with them you could see the wealth in the area. High end clothing that filled the racks only meant that if they were tossed out, nicer things replaced them. The same could be said by furniture and other things. Strange pottery was usually a tell tale sign of craftsmen and other handiwork people. Tools spoke the same, as did old electronics. To see what was tossed out and left behind, was to get a good idea of the people who got rid of them. Were the items outdated, or were they upgraded? It wasn't so much people watching, though, that was also a good place to do it. A place to see who scavenged what was left. With a few steps, Kasey would take another treat, and consume it all the same. Their next stop the thrift store, or at least, the closest one to them. "Designer?" A joke surely, right? It would be met with the same. "Is it designer if you have it personally tailored for you?" . . . A joke was supposed to be funny, not true. That wasn't a joke. What the hell was that? Well, she tried. Sort of. With that, an answer to her question. Mustafu. Relatively close to the school, and with it, a close proximity to her former home, along with the man known as G. It was a question of how long, how recent, and why she had never seen her if that was the case. But even so, it wasn't like she would catch Kasey's attention if she wasn't actively looking. She had no reason to latch onto strangers without some sort of interaction. ". . . So are we only going to do the random things I bring up?" she asked, slowing her steps as she took another treat, and ate it fast to continue. "This sounds less like a date, and more like someone else trying to interrogate me again." She hated when people played games with her, and much more so under the guise of something else. She was going to get the bottom of it, but she wasn't going to play all of her cards yet. But, she did have to play something eventually. She wasn't going to wait to find out. But, she was right to be weary, at least in some regard. It was the whole reason she survived. If she wasn't cautious, maybe she would have avoided the labs as a child. But she was aware now. Clearly, Alisa should be thankful she'd only ever spent a fraction of her life evading the authorities as such... Unlike Kasey, she only ever had a handful of people she aimed to kill, anybody else was really just, well... Collateral damage really. She never taken down anybody who didn't deserve it, but, had she not had something to gain from their demise, she'd have never targeted in the first place. In the end, after too long of pursuing a cold case and entertaining herself with whatever other villains came her way, Alisa realized no matter how many perished or got taken in, others would take their place. No, what needed to change wasn't just the number of villains, but the society that gave birth to them. And what better way is there to change a society than to teach the younger generations, help them become better than those who came before them?
"Fufufu~...", it certainly had the teacher giggling, but it didn't look as though that was too difficult an achievement, but that didn't stop her from teasing her back as she winked cheekily, "Well, if that's your standard of designer clothes, I sure feel glad not to have you buying them for me~"
Yet for all the playfulness of their meeting, the girl's next words sure had the sculptress' brow raising. She'd have asked her what she meant by that, but ultimately, Kasey answered all of that of her own voilition. Well... Kasey really was taking that date offer a little more seriously than she thought she might? Or maybe she was just uncomfortable... Hard for Alisa to tell when she got caught up in her admiration, she really just needed something to snap her back to reality:
"Hmmm... There's quite a number of things I could suggest but in my defense... I don't really know what you like, do I~?", argued Alisa, shooting the question back as she narrowed her eyes, yet undoubtedly understanding the girl's concern. She'd probably feel the same way had she found somebody showing an unexpecting interest in her likes and dislikes, "I mean, just about everybody likes sweets and clothes~" In the end, Alisa just sighed, rubbing her temple as she too slowed down and turned back to her. In all fairness... Alisa would have most certainly preferred sharing her interests Kasey was such. So far, she'd only actually returned her interest a handful of times, and thus, Alisa was content to bite onto those little morcels the girl threw her way. Yet once she actually showed such an assertive interest, the taller woman all but stopped, resting a hand on her full hip, perfectly willing to talk about herself if Kasey really wanted to hear it:
"...Hmmm... I do like art, if you're wondering, sculpting more than anything... I like strolling around the city, just as we're doing now, and I absolutely love wine. But if I had to pick one... I'd say I like looking at beautiful sights first and foremost~", mind you, she wasn't exactly hitting on Kasey, merely bringing her finger to her bottom lip as she hummed melodiously and listed some of her likes... Though Alisa certainly knew how it may come off as such, she didn't really care about it as she gazed back into the girls eye's more and more with each and every word from her lips. As shallow as it sounded, that part was undoubtedly true, "...As for showing you the places I like, hmm... I wish I could do that but I don't really know so much around these parts I'd feel comfortable doing so. If you'd like, you could always meet me in Mustafu some other time~" An artist...? No wonder she felt weird, huh? Clearly, Alisa really wasn't afraid of opening up... What would her date make of this? Assume she was lying? Just a ploy to get under her skin? That said, Kasey was right, it would have felt very much like an interrogation, but in her defense... She herself hadn't really shown that much interest in Alisa's own before, had she? In the end, Alisa could be boiled down as an odd kind of narcissist... Easily absorbed in other people's beauty, she could nonetheless easily end up admiring her own... In the end, she just admired beauty, in every shape or form. "In the meantime... I'm an open book~... Feel free to ask me any question you'd like, Kasey~", well, surely, that was bound to put Kasey's worries at ease... Right?

If they had been honest from the start, perhaps it would have been an entirely different interaction. Maybe Kasey would have dropped the act, and her subtle dance around words and topics. Maybe she would have been honest about why she never bothered to return. If she had known their view on crime was the same, it would have gotten to a different point. But, as it were, she was too guarded. She looked out for herself. She could care less about some stranger. She had reason to be untrusting of any hero, or at least anyone associated with them. The only exception was the spider, for she had seen the ways of their god. It didn't matter if she personally supported Kasey or not, they knew that their god had reasons to push different aspects of life. It was not something they could control. It was the will of their Maker. Death was a means to an end. To kill one, was to cull the population, but for what? With room, either someone extended their reach, or someone else took their spot. To make any difference, was to cause a mass genocide, which, Kasey had begun to some extent. She felt no guilt for killing those she had judged unworthy. She had no reason to. But with each death, she claimed those attached, taking over. If she extended her own reach, there was no spot for another to fill. It was her own. She took the place of dozens, upon hundreds, upon thousands of souls. People never to be seen again. Crimes never to be repeated. Buying? Did you really need to pay for materials you already owned? A tailor that was already getting a paycheck from you had no reason to be paid twice. She owned them. They were not some simple family man, but criminals turned civilians for her amusement, for Sato's amusement. She just enjoyed the fruits of his labor. Kasey enjoyed her life, and rarely took in time to see all the sights. especially not with someone she just met. In her eyes, everyone was out to get her. It was hard to take anything at face value. "Everyone needs food to survive. Everyone needs clothes to stay warm." she wasn't saying much commenting on the essentials of survival. That being said, they were eating much well off than the average person. That being said, the mention of sculptures was the only thing that caught Kasey's attention. To mention that over paintings meant that she must have some awareness. Either it was baiting Kasey, or it was genuine interest. It could have been the former, it all it would take is a single reaction that would give her the answer she wanted. She put her hand in front of her, between her and the woman and pressed her fingers together. Her nails would grow and fuse together. They would extend and weave themselves into a dozen smaller needles. In and over each other, they would move like living snakes, only to take shape. They would crawl upwards and outwards and back down on itself. One would crawl up, only to loop back down. The motion may have been fast in her craft, but to her powers, it was slow, meticulous, and careful. She did not watch her hand, but the expression of the woman when she would reveal the final piece. When it was over, a small figure no taller than her hand would stand at her fingertips. A replica of the woman in front of her. "Well, then why don't we go to Mustafu?" she suggested, "I'm not parked far, and it's not like a bus would be hard to catch."And so, the day continued. ~ Word Count: 622 ~ |

Alisa wasn't nearly so selfless... When she did her vigilante work, she seldom cared much for anybody but the specfic people she wanted to seek out and kill. She found some of them in the end, but not all... She was still searching even when she realized she needed to seek a different path. A path where her hated enemies wouldn't just spring like mushrooms after a rainy night. Alisa didn't really know what Kasey was up to. She wasn't really hunting after her, and wouldn't even if she happened to know. She might have even appreciated her efforts... But clearly, not as much as she appreciated what the woman made next, flauting her quirk as bony constructs grew between her fingernails, swiftly weaving into shape until a rather impressive looking figurine came into to view, an impressively accurate depiction of herself that made Alisa gasp in awe: "Oh my, that looks... Rather impressive...", she admired, almost transfixed as her eyes fell on the sculpture, taking it in as her eyes only drifted up to Kasey's for the briefest of moments, "I... Can't imagine how long it took you to learn how to do them that fast. Your committment is... Quite something." That look in her eyes wasn't an easy look to fake... That glimmer, the genuine admiration as her eyes flared open, the way she leaned in as her hand rose over her mouth. Should Kasey not pull it away, she'd reach out and run her fingers gently over the figurine, admiring the smooth bony texture as much as the detailled. As a particularly tactile person, Alisa's tender sense of touch, keener than most, made her particularly adept at the same art, as well as admiring the work put into it. Utterly charmed by the sight before her, in the end that didn't stop her returning a playful smirk: "Fufu~... I suppose since you've shown me yours... I'll show you mine~", replied the sculptress winking knowingly, she too bringing the palms of her hands together, slowly pulling them apart as glimmering diamond dust fell down between them. Mind you, this wasn't really a secret, not by any stretch. Alisa Vollan was a former pro hero, albeit a relatively unknown one, who'd done most of her work as a vigilante. Anybody who bothered doing some detective work could find out how her Quirk had to do with creating crystals, something she particularly relished doing on her pasttime. As she peeled her hands apart, she'd run her fingers over the jagged, glimmering crystal, quickly smoothing it into shape as she cheekily carved out a rather lifelike figure of her companion. Just like the girl at her side, Alisa had no need for eyesight as she sculptred her shape, though it wasn't any inherent ability of her quirk, but rather an inherent ability to feel her way through touch better than most people could with their eyes: "Now that sounds like a lovely idea~... Should be quicker to get there by car.", she replied, nodding as she cupped her chin, brow furrowing as she thought about the bus routes and how long they'd take, "Since you like sculptures, maybe I could show you some of mine" With how warily Kasey looked at her, Alisa doubted her suggestion came out of any particular interest but rather to see whether the sculptress was out to get her. Either way, the sculptress herself appreciated her company a lot more than she let on. After all, that smile seemed to brighten after seeing the woman's art up close, on some level, it felt as though she was right to trust her instincts when she found Kasey enjoyable to spend time with.
