Part of her would always wonder why it was a smaller. insignificant matter compared to the rest of the world. That alone showed the powers of the government hiding information in plain sight in front of Japan's people. She didn't care much for the fame, and she preferred to be unknown. Even though it cost her her job, it was a sacrifice to avoid the unneeded panic that she would inevitably cause. It wasn't just her title, it was her identity. The only staff member among a sea of faculty. Now, she rose as the personal assistant to the new CEO of The Ketsujo Corporation, from her former position of secretary. She still preformed her duties, yet few, if any, cameras ever landed on her. None of it her doing, but all of it to her benefit. She sat peacefully, the few people she traveled with, a select few from work that had gone off on their own. She picked a quiet table, away from the masses as she took to her solitary silence. The small box of macaroons put aside just for herself. A single piece finding its way into her mouth, one by one, as the other hand flicked through her phone, trying to find sense of the new ranking among the heroes. And none of it was good. ~ Word Count: 221 ~ |

The fact that a former janitor had apparently the kind of power to become a pro hero if she wanted, the influence to claim leadership over a multinational conglomerate... Had that... Seriously never seemed weird for anybody? Sometimes Alisa couldn't help but feel baffled by people's complacency... Well, other UA faculty may shrug that off but she most certainly didn't. As she walked around in Akihabara, the teacher had a clear goal in mind, somebody she was looking for, even if, looking at her, one might see nothing more than a cool beauty on a leisurly stroll. After all, clad in breezy set of jeans and a deep blue blouse, Alisa looked about as casual as she possible could, even if the unbuttoned upper buttons still earned quite a bit more than a couple intrigued glances. But she'd come here on a mission, assuming she could even call it that, and as she spotted a certain silver haired stunner plopping open a box of macarons, her plush pink lips widened into a soft smile, the sculptress sashaying over as she asked her: "Good afternoon... Mind if I join you~...?", she spoke, flashing that graceful smile, addressing the girl better known as Kasey, just waiting for some manner of acceptance from the lone beauty before setting her own cup of coffee down and taking the seat next to her. She'd be looking for this woman for a few days now. Actually finding her proved understandably easy, after all, considering her position. She kept a low profile, though there's only so much you can do. Alisa wasn't wary of her, but neither was she here to thank her for keeping quite a fair number of people safe in a way that put pro heroes to shame. She was simply curious. And a whimsical woman like Alisa Vollan could devote a tremendous effort merely to that desire alone. Outfit

The wooden boards, polished and refined would be the small table that would have brought them together. Just another patio type outdoor seating for the many various cafes and small shops around them. It was a peaceful day, for the most part. Kasey hadn't the faintest clue as to the goals and desires of others, and she could care less. IF a stranger wanted to take a seat, she was well aware there was a reason for it. It wasn't like tables were scarce. She understood people knew who she was, and it was a matter of time before her stories caught up with her. A pharmacist turned janitor? That would never sound right to anyone's ears. Why? How? She was already well off, why did she work at Yuuei? When she was removed, she didn't just return to her normal job, she ascended. The nameless face rising as Sato's Secretary, and when he stepped down, she remained. Now she sat as Hain's Personal assistant, yet she kept her position with the pharmaceuticals. She was a nobody, yet she had taken her seat next to power strategically. So why did she work as a janitor at Yuuei? Why wasn't she a nurse? "Sure." she would say with a smile. She adjusted the strap of her white crop top as she carefully picked out the next treat to eat. All of the flavors inside, and not a single one repeated. What would be her next choice? She couldn't even count to ten a year ago, and now she practically managed a billion yen industry. Not a word of her in media, a virtual ghost. The only paper that had her name on it, were the events of Semper Fi. An event, that existed in the back of everyone's mind, but never on anyone's lips. ~ Word Count: 304 ~ |

As she waited for the former janitor's attention, Alisa ran a hand down her lustruous dark hair, brushing it behind her shoulder as it fluttered under the cool, refreshing summer breeze, all but humming as it brushed against her cheeks like a lover's caress. Indeed, it was quite the wonderful day, but now that she finally had her eyes on the prize, Alisa barely glanced upwards into the sky. Instead, she merely had eyes for the beauty before her, admiring that casual, breezy choice of wardrobe that seemed so undeniably fitting for a youthful, vibrant woman like herself. At first glance, one might hardly assume this lone young woman packed the kind of power to put a pro hero to shame, but looks can be decieving:
"Thank you~", and with her words, Alisa sat down, crossing those long, luscious legs under the table as her arm came to rest over it, cupping her cheek as she took a moment just looking over the silver siren sitting across her. That said, she'd never be so rude as to leave the girl wondering why exactly this tall stranger had decided to join her. Taking a little sip of her coffee, the smiling sculptress spoke up once more in that throaty, almost melodious voice, "I suppose I should introduce myself. I'm Alisa Vollan, Linguistic Teacher at UA." Indeed, Alisa knew her well enough... She'd have been foolish not to know the names of everybody involved in an event that threatened so many of her students, and that calm, collected posture showed hints of appreciation for her efforts. Perhaps more than most people ever bothered to give her. Indeed, not many seemed to bother finding out more about the mysterious Janitor, content to let her have her secrets without wondering just how many she actually intended to keep as such. For now though, she merely rose a curious eyebrow and wondered how the girl might react to her presence, now that she knew where Alisa came from...

Oh, she was one of those. As she tried to pick out her treat, she would catch the movements of her hand as it ran through her long hair, only to push it behind her. She looked up again, only now observing the beauty in front of her. No, she knew it. That woman wanted something. Did she watch Kasey pay for the snack? Did she see the credit card and come to ask for a handout? She despised people like that, yet, at the same time she felt so inviting. Their eyes would meet, before Kasey turned back to her activity, picking a lavender colored one, and taking a small bite to taste it before a larger one followed. But something changed when she took her seat. Her gaze still fixed on Kasey. She felt like a caged animal at the zoo, being observed, watched. What was this woman here for? What was the reason she had picked Kasey of all people? She leaned into her hand, getting comfortable as she was thinking of the words to speak. Kasey's eyes locked onto her treats before closing the box, looking only at what was in her hand, trying to ignore the situation. The cup lifted to her lips, then fall back down upon the table. A teacher. Of course. "Oh." she would say, an outcome she wasn't expecting. "Well then I assume you already kn-... nevermind. I'm Kasey." she would reply back. "Setsuna. I used to work there, like a year ago." She looked back up, taking a bite of half of her treat before looking at the woman from head to, well waist, considering it was all she could see from sitting down. "Look, if you're here to offer me my job back, I don't want it. I'm fine." she would say, perhaps saying a lot more than she wanted, and admitting to things she hadn't even talked about. "I still think that's a shitty reason to let someone go, but that's just government for you." She shook her head, before sticking the rest of the macaroon into her mouth, licking her fingers as she finished. ~ Word Count: 357 ~ |

She looked understandably wary, suspicious, as her eyes scanned over the lithomancer's form, closing the box of macarons she'd been eating the moment she saw Alisa sitting down. Of course, why would a random woman she'd never met had asked to join her, of all people, to sit in this table of all places, now of all times...? All the more reason why the sculptress introduced herself. She hadn't come here to investigate her or anything, and when the woman gave her name, even though Alisa already knew it, her smile widened as she replied: "Pleasure to meet you at last, Kasey~", she spoke, winking playfully as she nodded, folding her arms under her chest, crossing them idly over the table, shooting a curious glance towards the maracons in her hand, following one as she lead them to her lips, but a moment of wondering what kind of flavour it was before adding, "Indeed, I know that much. I mean, I wasn't there at the time, but I hear you made quite an impression on some people." Little by little, the former janitor would probably figure out how Alisa had no real ulterior motives of any kind. When she asked if she was there to offer her job back, her brow rose, actually somewhat surprised by the assumption, even if, in all fairness, it seemed like a reasonable one. "Ufufu~ Now why do you think that? It's hardly the teacher's job to go around hiring janitors, wouldn't you agree~?", letting out a graceful little giggle, her hand rose idly overher mouth, before she waved it dismissively. No, she really wasn't there to offer her a job, "I completely agree with you there, honestly, it felt as though they were so embarassed that they had somebody like you working as a Janitor without even noticing... Besides, seems to me like you've been doing a lot better for yourself outside of UA." Perfectly content to watch her eat inbetween sips of her coffee, Alisa seemed almost delighted to have finally met the one she'd been looking for, but as to figuring out what kind of person she was, well... That might take a while.

People were.. no, humans were overly cocky. Curious creatures that beckoned for answers to questions they could not fathom. There was answers to the universe ready to be shared with all of humanity, but so many were only concerned with their immediate life, they could not ever think of the words needed to get all of the answers they dreamed of. There was answers, but none of them knew the questions. That was life. The meaning of life? Life was the answer. But what was the question? Her eyes followed the crossed arms before falling for perhaps a second longer than they should over her- "At last?" the voice questioned from within the girl's mind. A second set of eyes watching, observing, planning. They knew what answers they wanted, he was the one that was going to find the right question. "Students. Heroes. Civilians. Whoever I suppose." she answered, the first one coming to mind, Chimera, before her sister Leviathan. Her mind drifted to the faces of all of the teachers she met, Junko, Hachi, Cian and all of the other members. It was a nice place to be. A place where she could relax and ease her mind. A place where she didn't have to worry. The only concern she had, being the altar in the closet. A small place to make her offerings to her god. "Well, it was hardly a place for a principal to pull a gun out on a ... anyways." She passed over the thought. She didn't hate the man, but he seemed a bit on edge for a man that was supposed to be sculpting minds of the youth. BUt with it, more words, more half asked questions, all of them asking for answers. But the answers she would get, would not be the ones intended, surely. "They were more embarrassed about the fact heroes did less saving than a janitor." she would say. The infamous janitor who drove to school in cars far out of her paycheck. It wasn't like she was hiding her wealth. But it wasn't like it wasn't being flaunted either. "I've been doing fine, before, during, and now." she would say. "That place would never hire someone with qualifications unless they had that license." A hint of anger in her voice, the bits of desire to save lives, or at least help mend them. "I've seen more students at the clinics, than I've seen helping at Yuuei." Kasey relaxed a bit, doing the same to rest her head onto her hand as she leaned on the table. "Makes me wonder why they've chosen Ketsujo's care, over their own school provided assistance."~ Word Count: 443 ~ |

Catching the woman's gaze drifting back down, the sculptress hardly shied away from it, quite the opposite. Instead, her lips widened into a knowing smile that would meet Kasey whenever she gazed up at her once more, like Alisa knew fully well where she'd been looking. She wouldn't be the first~ Not that she'd let that distract her from the conversation at hand... Indeed there had to have been many... Probably more so among the students, Alisa figured, after all, they'd have been the ones who spent the most idle time with the janitor here and there. The ones she'd have had the biggest influence on. If she were to listen to anybody about Kasey Setsuna, she'd have certainly started with the students: "I've... Also heard tales of the principal's gun toting habits...", Alisa sighed, almost a groan as her palm reached for a temple in an obvious show of exhasperation. In what world does a principal in their right mind not only goes to school armed, but proves ever so eager to show that off. Alisa shook her head, glancing down at her mug of coffee before looking up into Kasey's eyes once more, "Indeed... That sounds very much like them. So concerned over appearances end up not doing their jobs right. Well, not my students if I have any say in that~" But in the end, there was a certain hint of hopefulness in Alisa's eyes as that cool, laid back smile drew back on her plush lips, clearly confident in, if not her own skills as a teacher, certainly in the character of her students. Some more than others, sure, but Alisa had no doubt their generation of heroes could far surpass those who came before: "Interesting enough that they would, considering... They're more than willing to hold on to somebody who's lost that license.", for once, she chuckled almost awkwardly as she rubbed behind her neck. The fact that the White Empress had lost her license was no secret to anybody, even if she was a pretty unknown hero to behin with. Yet fewer people knew why she'd never bothered to get it back. There was a reason for it, of course, but not something a teacher of heroes could openly admit to, "Oh...? I've thought of that myself actually, maybe they just worry about having to explain to their teachers why they're using their quirks without permission... UA has some malformed regulations like that, that they should probably fix one of these days... There's only so much I can do as a new teacher... Either way."
She shrugged and smiled once more, almost understanding, even curious, but knowing that she'd probably wouldn't figure that out anytime soon. The woman seemed quite frustrated at the school, angry even, and there was only so much that Alisa, as a fresh hire to the school's faculty, could actually understand.
"...You might know that better than me, after all... It's not something they'd openly discuss with a teacher~", replied the lithomancer, winking knowingly, not really expecting Kasey to enlighten her...

In just the past month, she had seen a far greater number in Yuuei students than she wanted to admit to. From first years to third years, they didn't have an understanding of their quirk. They wanted help. They needed it. They were training to get better, but without the basis, how could they improve? How could you learn to paint, if you didn't understand the make up of the paint you used, or how the brush was made? There was endless techniques to be learned, just with that information. To alter how it works, and to repair if it goes wrong. Why wasn't Yuuei able to do that? Why did they come to her instead? With the woman's gaze meeting Kasey's own focus once more, Kasey pushed the previous thoughts away. It wasn't a time for that. What was the woman here for, and what was she after. Was this another investigation? A year later? No. She knew about the principal and his gun, he wasn't licensed, but he was retired. He would be just as guilty of crimes if Kasey was caught. Unless... While the woman did have a bit more hope in her students, Kasey couldn't help but dismiss it. The idea of being a hero was an easy one to have. But in the face of it, who was ready to act? Who was really ready to fight back? She had seen a good handful of heroes falter in the face of danger. It didn't matter how strong your are, even those get broken. Her eyes fell from the woman's eyes, and down to her lips. She certainly had a habit for smiling. Was this a joke? Was it funny? Was it all entertainment? No, it was real, she wasn't faking it. But why did she smile so much? "Yet the policies that permitted me to use my quirk, as well as the students did allow us to use it while on property." she would say, "So, I guess there's some basis, though with it, more confusion." It wasn't something worth trying to understand. The school was ran by former military. The military tried to kill them all off. Who was to say the principal wasn't there just for monitoring purposes? It wasn't like any of them really had a reason to trust the military. In fact, they had nothing but reasons to distrust the military. ". . . which is unfortunate." Kasey would nod at the idea of misinformation, or at least the lack of suck. "All I did was fix holes in the wall and make sure things were clean and fixed, and somehow I managed to be more up to date than the faculty now." She sighed. She still had contacts. The benefit of Caitlyn was that such thing, although she was never able to score her position as a teacher there. It was for the best, she was better as a Medical Examiner anyways. At least this way, Kasey could have a bit more influence on things before ASTA started to move onto Ketsujo territory. ~ Word Count: 511 ~ |

How could she not smile when standing before someone as pretty as the woman standing before her? Alisa rarely lost her cool and composure, or the perpetual faint smile than came with it. She had, after all, grown used to seeing the beauty in the world instead of merely losing itself in the ugliness, which helped keep a clear focus on what truly mattered: "Indeed... Too much red tape will do that.", nodded the lithomancer, being a former vigilante just like many other pro heroes like herself... She understood fully well the hazards of being constantly held back by unnecessary rules, the doubt that came with it after being constantly chastised when you stand up for what you believe is right. UA was a step in the right direction, but they still a long way to go. In any case, Alisa was glad to find someone else who wasn't really afraid of crossing some of those lines, "...They treated you like trash if you ask me. Though it seems to me like you can do a lot more from your current position than what you had back there." It felt almost demeaning to consign this woman to the role of Janitor, but looking at her, she got the distinct impression Kasey chose the mantle herself. Maybe it allowed her to keep an eye on everything that happened around the school, or perhaps she was merely eccentric like that. Either way, the longer they talked the more interesting Alisa found her. While Kasey seemed utterly preoccupied with this mysterious dark haired stranger and what she might be after, the ever contemplative artist was only concered with the sliver haired siren sitting across her. Brushing a loose lock behind her ear, the sculptress chuckled: "You'd have been better off applying for principal hmm...?", for all the playfulness of her tone, the way she rose an eyebrow made it all too clear she wouldn't be too surprised if that happened, or, well, maybe she would since Kasey seemed pleased to have put UA behind her. The school's complacency had allowed companies like ASTA free reign to encroach on their territory, to make a move on younger, yet untrained students in place of proper heroes, "...Or maybe not, you hardly seem like you'd enjoy playing that part too much." With every word, she all but fell into their conversation, loosing track of much of anything else... Well... For the most part. After having finished her coffee and put aside the empty cup, ever so often she find her gaze drifting down from those bright green eyes and down to the box of macarons, brow raising, showing a subtle hint of curiosity: "Maybe then the students wouldn't feel such a pressing need to seek assistance elsewhere...", she sighed, clearly displeased with that particular situation. ASTA in particular clearly unsettled Alisa, knowing no good could ever come out of a colossal conglomerate tempting hero students as such, as if they themselves were trying to raise them into their ideal of heroes.

Happy people were the ones to be weary about. People who pretended to have solved the world or all of life's problems. There was plenty of things to be concern about, but perhaps another person's joy was not a matter to worry about, even if it was a bit unnerving. Surely the woman had a life worth being happy about. She was a teacher, which meant she had a good company, and a good life to benefit from it. She was a hero, or a least worked with them, and had security in that matter. But rules were just things to confine people. Kasey may have been the definition of a villain. Her hands weren't just dirtied, but soaked in blood. But even so, she saw herself a righteous warrior, one that fought from within their ranks, rather than from the side. She influenced evil directly, in a way that gave the world a much more appealing horror. She may not be saving lives directly, but she was preventing more deaths, which was all the same. Well, preventing unnecessary deaths. She was Kasey Setsuna, but at night, she rose as Bones, a villain with righteous values, and Lady Macabre, a woman who did what the heroes wouldn't, and couldn't. "You get used to cleaning up other people's messes." she'd explain, smiling for a moment with her little joke, "Though, I guess even now I'm still doing it." Heroes would make mistakes. They would continue until the next generation took over. That was how it was going to be. What she had to be sure of, was that the villains that ruled now, fell before that era. She had to make sure that in that new age, it was her, that stood the villain. Only then, could she see to it, that peace could be achieved. "Nurse would have been ideal, but I would have taken campus security, had it been offered to me." Kasey was far more dignified when she wore her mask. She was eloquent when she had the dress. But now, at this table, before this woman... between them the coffee and macaroons, she was nothing more than a domesticated beast. That much, she would always remember. This woman was strange. The conversation was strange. Why did she pick this seat? Had she been looking for Kasey? For why? It wasn't for just a conversation, surely. Or well, it could have been. People were weird. Or maybe she had planned a sort of coup, a plan to take over Yuuei with a new staff. No, that would be far too obvious. What was her game? "Well, granted, I've been through my share of... shit." She struggled for a word before landing upon her choice. It wasn't her first pick, but it would have to do. "Perhaps it's just because of what I look like, I get it. Students mistaking me as other students. They don't like when they're told no. I've combated a few of them, only to have them return for a sparring later.
Which, is strange to admit to in hindsight, but, I suppose there was a reason they came back to me. With every exchange, they learned a bit about themselves. And myself, being rather adaptive..." she stopped herself, catching herself trailing off. There was no reason to go on. Students liked her. She had seen quirks, understood them, and helped them control. Maxi was one that came to mind, especially with her ice. It was her bones that made it easy to clean up his mess. "So why me?" she would finally ask. There was no sense waiting for the question. ~ Word Count: 608 ~ |

There was indeed plenty in the world to concern oneself with... But one cannot simply solve each and every last problem from the get go. Antecipating those problems never did anybody any good, and Alisa always strove to take her life one issue at a time. She'd started out with a very different mindset. But after years of killing villains and watching them be replaced, like weeds picked from one's garden... She realized that simply pulling the weeds never did any good, and being consumed by that task never did anybody any good either. Whether society called you a villain or a hero made little difference in the end: "Well... I can't imagine how long that takes...", Added Alisa, brushing her long, dark hair away from her eyes, a hint of unease flashing throught them, making it very clear this was hardly the kind of job she'd ever get used to, leaving her only to giggle at the woman's little joke, "I suppose some jobs are even messier than being the faithful school janitor... I'm not surprised. The world can be as filthy a place at times, as it is beautiful at others." And at times like those, one needs a devoted janitor to clean out the trash... At times, she couldn't help but look at Kasey, remember her reputation as a reluctant hero, and realize the same mindset that allowed her to enjoy that janitorial labour yet defined her still. She liked making the world a cleaner place for others around her, however she had to go about it. Compared to that, really... Security work seemed like the closest aproximation: "I don't know about nurse but... Feels to me that you also did a pretty solid job at campus security too.", she spoke, thinking back to the Semper fi tales and how loathsome it felt to know the SDF wanted nothing more than to assert their superiority over high school students...
Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Really, with friends like these, who needs enemies? Alisa remembered reading about that in the news and feeling utterly appalled, all the more reason why she'd grown to appreciate someone like Kasey, who not only put her foot down before that mess, but ultimately paid the price for it. Really, she had no ulterior motives her. The girl yet eyed her suspiciously, wondering what she was up to... But Alisa really had no such desires, and if somebody thought her wierd for coming all this way for a conversation, she certainly hadn't gotten the memo: "Well... Now you're doing the Phys Ed teacher's job~", teased the sculptress, once again only able to snicker at the tale the girl told her, already thinking of a handful of students who wouldn't really take kindly to being told off by a Janitor who didn't really look any older than them. It felt almost surprising to hear her admitting to having unwittingly trained so many of her students, simply by doing her job and that way daring them into defying it. But the fact that they kept coming back earned the raise of an eyebrow as she snickered, thinking back to the very reason she'd come all the way here to Akihabara to find her: "Have you ever considered that... They might have just come back because you're interesting enough to come back~...?", she asked, answering the question with a question, cocking her head slightly as she once again found herself cupping her chin with an inquisitive look on her face, sounding almost like she was speaking from experience. Ordinarily, she might have stood there, gazing into her eyes, watching Kasey make sense of it... But in the end, she flashed her that ever present faint smile, chuckling softly as she added, "...Sounds like something I can relate to~"

Kasey. along with herself, had her own set of problems and issues. She was terribly complicated for all of the wrong reasons. Kasey was living on her own sense of self-righteous justice. But even with that, it was a set of rules one could understand. Not all had agreed with her, but almost everyone understood her point of view. It was hard to argue against a villain killing villains, when so few of them have actually been served justice. So many people were easily corrupted, it was just easier to clean them from the world, rather than trying to rehabilitate them over and over. To control the underworld, was a reach, but one that would continue to make sense. To direct and control chaos in a way that would ease the burden, and perhaps provide a bit of time for both sides to gather. Order would be restored. But how long would it take? Faithful school janitor? A jest was it? Was she poking fun at the altar she had constructed within her little locker? The bone statues and small offerings made to a god few knew of, and even fewer knew the name of? A god of vengeance and redemption? No, it was unlikely, but it did not stop her mind from believing it as another possible action. In her mind, everyone was out to get her. Everyone was just a temporary viable in her life. They came and went, sometimes after passed time, others after they gained something. She was used to it, but it didn't mean she enjoyed it. "Well, someone had to." she would say with a bit of laughter, "Though, the idea of the trash rat I used to feed now rising as a hero for animal rights... is interesting." Perry. She didn't know of him, she knew him. From shared moments of cleaning out of the school, or leftover food, they had spent some time together. It wasn't extensive, but to see him rise to a hero did bring her a bit of hope. Maybe for herself, or perhaps for the coming world. She couldn't put it into words. But seeing him happy, made her happy. Since then, she had changed. She had redefined herself another dozen times. She was refined, and free to express the sides of her as she wanted. Her powers had all of the versatility she could want, yet, she never used all of her power. No one could ever see it at its full power. Even showing the few sides of herself to Yuri felt like a gamble. Could she ever trust someone who was related to Thundershock? Could she trust anyone after what had happened? "Maybe they should be more qualified than just having a license then." she would quickly interject. But that was passed. Their failures was her successes. She didn't train everyone, but she had definitely left her mark on the school. Even if those she interacted with were now long gone, the stories of the janitor would remain. She was not one to vanish. She would always exist. It was her legacy. And maybe it was one to be remembered. "Interesting?" she questioned, lingering on the idea. They found her interesting? Maybe. Maybe it was just human curiosity. Someone who was full of knowledge. It was like that with her and Seki, why would the students be different. Someone mysterious, someone you thought you had figured out. Someone who continued to teach you something you had no idea you didn't know. Was that the reason? Or was there more to it? Well, there was the few students who did try to fraternize with the clean up crew, but she always dismissed the idea. She was blessed with a youthful look. Or perhaps, it was Setsuna to be proud of. Kasey's eyes fell upon the woman's smile once more and became enthralled by it. She was interesting. The fact she chose to spend an afternoon with the silver haired girl was more so. "I suppose." she ended her thought, drifting to the next. "Though, I doubt I'm the only reason you've came here." Perhaps it was too snarky. What was she trying to ask. . . . What was the way to word it... ". . .or uh... What are you doing after we're done here?" a question of errands, or perhaps a pick up line. Who was to say? ~ Word Count: 729 ~ |

"Ufufu~... Now that's a story I'm hoping you'll tell me some other time.", she teased, eyes widening for she had a pretty good idea of who the trash rat actually was, but had never really heard their backstory. Visibly intrigued, the captivated artist found herself hanging off Kasey's every word, she too feeling happier by the moment about her decision to come and find her.
Alisa didn't know Kasey then... Right now that may as well be the only real regret she had in this whole situation, for she'd have certainly liked to have met her earlier. After all, even after only having known her for a few minutes she could already tell the woman had changed quite a bit since her days as the school janitor: "Well, clearly you don't really need a Hero licence to be teaching, if I'm anything to go by.", snickered the sculptress, smirking cheekily as she folded her arms over the table, uncrossing her arms as she scooted her rear just a few inches further along her bench. The school had changed since Kasey's days, but for all the faults it overcame, there were dozens more yet to be addressed. In the end she could only sigh, that perpetual smile fading for the briefest of moments. There was still a lot of work to be done... There always would be. But right now, Alisa wasn't really at work, so she'd much rather focus on the girl sitting across her than her workplace:
"No, that's defenitely the reason why I came here.", she replied, furrowing her brow with a playful look on her face, almost as if she needed to look around at the somewhat busy streets just to make sure. She generally disliked crowded locations, but around August, everything felt that much quieter, "I mean, Akihabara can be quite lovely this time of the year, a lot less crowded with so many people on vacation."
Honest to a fault, Alisa had no qualms to admitting this: Even if she was starting to feel like Kasey would never believe her, she wasn't about to lie to her on something like that. Thus, it seemed almost natural for her to express her own curiosity towards Alisa's motives, and for once, the inquisive sculptress was happy to indulge:
"Hmmmm, honestly, I haven't planned that far ahead~... I suppose I'll think about that when the time comes?", she confessed, shrugging idly before, cupping her cheek, a knowing look drawing on her lips. Indeed, Alisa's spare time often boiled down to her mood, doing whatever struck her fancy at any given moment. She'd planned to meet Kasey here, but as for what she'd do after that, well, she'd figure it out later. Not in any way puzzled by the wary woman's interest, Alisa leaned in ever so slightly, her suppleness squishing softly over the arm resting on the table, while the other hand brushed back a couple loose locks as they draped down over her eye, "Why do ask...? Don't tell me you have a suggestion for me or something~" Well, if it had been a pick up line, Alisa pretty much returned it in kind, looking confidently into the girl's rather mesmerizing eyes, a hint of playfulness, almost mischief in her tone, wondering what the former janitor might say. Or maybe she was genuinely curious? She'd just leave Kasey to figure that one out~

Trash rat? No, that wasn't right. A raccoon? Ah, right, he was a possum. And a weird one at that. It was a story for another time. It wasn't like it was damming content for either party involved. It was nothing different from talking about dinner with a friend, that was, if that dinner was an old sandwich and a shoe. In the last year, Kasey had become a new person. But if you started it from her days as a Ketsujo Subject, she had grown massively. From a practically feral creature to a refined beauty, she understood she was no longer the same. And she would see to it that people would treat her as such. Her unique background had given her a special perspective on life and its obstacles. Perhaps it was a contributing factor to her fame at Yuuei, as well as to her downfall. But the mention of her not having a license rose a brow, a curious one. This either meant they were now hiring those without certification, or she had the qualifications, retired, or simply lost it by some other means. A strange thing to mention, and a stranger occurrence. Now Kasey was drowning in questions and in interest. There was too many things to ask, and not enough time for her to put the words together. She was on break then, or a leave, or simply did not teach today. What day was it? Didn't matter. Irrelevant. "What are you going to do?" he observed, watched, and he did not have answers for Kasey either. Though, saying Kasey was her reason for coming was strange. She had been tracking her? Or had been keeping an eye out until she stumbled upon her? How long was she watching before she sat down? How long was she planning to do so? How long... how long was this going on for? No, that didn't make sense. Why would anyone seek Kasey? Was she going to be arrested? How much did they know? Did they have evidence? No, that was impossible. None of the DNA left behind was her own. She was meticulous in her methods. It was flawless. She hadn't messed up, except for the one loose end, but how could they put that together? Why did it take this long? Why- "Calm. Down." he would force her to gather her thoughts, the mad ideas running around his peaceful doman. Deep breath. In. Out. Inhale. Exhale. Good. Now, what the hell was this woman on about? "Calmer than Tokyo." she spoke, her mind processing, but she was calm. For now. She had no plans for after their talk? No that wasn't right. She just wandered aimlessly until she found Kasey? Well, it wasn't a secret that she was always in the area, the school wasn't that far away. It wasn't like she didn't work around the area either. Anyone that knew even a little could figure that out. Between dropping students from the estate to the school, it was the center of her travels. But for how many days did she wait until this day? Was she truly waiting for this single moment, or was this jus a random thing she decided on this morning? ". . . Right." Her brows narrowed at the thought before opening her box of treats, before putting it between them, opening it to display what's inside. "Do you.. uh... want one?" she would ask, both nervous and shy on the matter. She wasn't a hero, so it couldn't have been to arrest her. Even so, it wasn't impossible to work with police as a civilian. But that scenario was unlikely. All it did was put her on edge to think about it. But even if it was half a percent chance, it was still a chance. "Well, uh," Shit. Fuck. What the hell was she supposed to suggest? She didn't really do anything hear besides buy all of this crappy food. "There's some clothing stores around here. And well, macaroons." Clothing? What the hell was that suggestion? Macaroons? Why would she buy any when she could snack on the ones in front of her her free? "I hate all of this." another observation followed by his own commentary. If he was physical, he would be nodding his head in disappointment. ~ Word Count: 717 ~ |
