Flames roared as they slowly spread; today was not a good day for Saint Marta's. Night had fallen, and many workers and children were retiring for the night, only to be met with smoke and fire that burned from the outside in. Villains started to attack not long after, completely cutting off escape, by flame or by blood. This place rarely knew peace, but this was far more chaos and death than even Saint Marta's knew.
"Don't worry, I'll get you out!"
One child stood in front of several younger ones, despite being young himself. He stood proudly, his one arm on his hip, his chest puffed out just like the heroes did. He always knew that the heroes would come here; they had to, because this place was evil, but people didn't know it! This was a great chance for them to come, though, and when they did, they'd see what went on in this place... it was finally time for the heroes to come in and save them all!
"The heroes are coming, just like a told you! They know to come now, they know to come now...!"
He looked at the three kids in front of him, none of them, not even him, realizing that he sounded scared just like them, that he was almost as scared as them. As far as he was concerned, he was brave, he was the one that would get them all out and away from this place! Suddenly, he whirled around, his makeshift cape - made out of a towel, no less - spinning around him as he held his metal arm up, yelling, "BUSTAH SHOT!" A crack of energy fired from his palm, but all it did was slightly crack the door.
"BUSTAH SHOT! BUSTAH SHOT! BUSTAH-hack-SHOT!"
He coughed a little as the smoke started seeping in the room, but that only renewed his determination, the door cracking a little more with every shot he fired. The thuds and the cracks were hardly audible when his shots were so gentle; even as he fired with all his might, he was very, very slowly breaking the door open. He and his kids weren't too far in the orphanage, though. In fact, they were in the main residential building, and not too far into it, too; just charging inside the front door might be enough for someone to hear his shots and save them all!
"I'll... get... us... out!"

Kado watched the fires spreading from her location, the van's engine humming away as it sat there idled. It was glorious to watch the place that had caused her so much suffering over the years finally getting what it deserved. She did hope though that the two lovebirds wouldn't get so caught up in their righteous retribution that they forgot to escape the destruction themselves.
For now though the red-head put her mask back on over her face and prepared herself for her own task in tonights events. Namely ensuring the children, the victims of this hellhole, were able to get out safe and sound from this nightmare. Kado began to make her way towards the residential building, the place where the staff kept the children who lived here at the orphanage, her cloak furling and unfurling in the wind of the fire.
Her original plan had been to check the solitary confinement cells first, which were located in the basement... but the sound of faint impacts drew her attention. She scanned the area slowly before spotting a slightly cracked door, which bucked faintly from something striking it on the other side.
The masked woman made her way towards it, and gave the knob a quick test wiggle. Definitely locked, one of those that needed a key unfortunately, and definitely starting to warm up from the heat of the fire in the building.
"Step back." she called out, hoping that it was only children on the other side of this door and not one of the adults, before raising her foot and starting to kick at the door as hard as she could. She aimed her blows for the part of the door where the lock was, since that was usually the weakest point of the door. With one final kick the door began to give way, probably helped by the earlier damage done to the structure, and she slowly stepped forwards into the room.
Looking around she spotted several children, one of whom was standing in front of the others with a metallic looking arm. <No doubt the one responsible for the damage earlier...> Kado thought to herself as she looked back to the now broken door. She returned her focus to the children and slowly held out her hand to them all.
"Children, retribution has come for these false saints. Come with me if you want to live little ones." she said slowly, not wanting to scare any of the children on purpose... Although in hindsight, watching a robed figure with a white mask stepping through a door with fire behind her was probably already going to be scary.

give me time and give me space It all happened so fast. What began as an uneventful patrol at night quickly escalated. Dressed in her vigilante outfit and wearing her masquerade mask, Lilith had been on the lookout for any trouble. At first, there was nothing of note. No criminals running around. No victims in need of healing. All was well. Until it wasn't. Upon turning her head, Lilith noticed it. In the distance, there was a building. Upon getting closer, it was clear that this was an orphanage. But what was so special about this place? Well, there was the fact that it was on fire.
What the hell?!
Having been an orphan for almost the entirety of her childhood, Lilith had a certain fondness and appreciation for orphanages. The wonderful places that took in orphans like her and gave them all homes when there was nowhere else to go. That was why she was very much shocked and horrified at seeing an orphanage on fire. Not the one she grew up in, but that did not matter at all. An orphanage was an orphanage, and seeing it burn down made Lilith both sad and angry. What kind of monster would do this? Lilith doubted that this was an accidental fire. She could not quite put her finger on why, but this seemed like an intentional act of malice.
But regardless of how the fire started, there was one thing that was clear. The place needed to be checked. There was the possibility that the building had not yet been fully evacuated. And if that was indeed the case, then there were people still trapped inside. There's no time! I have to hurry! Perhaps in any other situation, Lilith would have called the Fire Department and wait for them. But as a fellow orphan, Lilith felt that she needed to personally make sure that no orphan was trapped in the burning building. The lady was confident enough in her quirk's ability to keep her safe from the smoke and flames. She was more concerned about other people than herself.
As she got closer, Lilith spotted a masked woman. Seeing as regular people did not typically wear masks in such a situation, it was clear that this person was here for one of two reasons. Either that person was the culprit who started the fire, or it was a hero or vigilante coming to the rescue. Upon getting close enough to hear what the woman was saying (or at least the last portion of it), it was clear that she was not the enemy here. Lilith sighed in relief. The more help, the better.
"Hey, need some help?" It was more of a rhetorical question to Lilith. She was here to help, whether the other masked woman wanted it or not. Anyway, Lilith then turned to the children and smiled warmly, speaking to them in a gentle and reassuring tone in order to try and not scare them. "Don't worry. You're safe now. Are you all alright? I can heal you if you're injured."
Lilith then spoke to the other lady again. "What do you think? Will you be able to go check to see if anyone else needs saving? Or would you rather leave it to me and you stay and help keep these kids safe?" Lilith did not really care one way or the other. She was more than happy to stay behind and help make sure these children are all fine. But she was also fine with going further inside the burning building and checking to see if there was anyone else trapped inside.
Either way, it was probably not going to be easy. Perhaps someone else would show up and help ease the burden a bit?

It felt like the world slowed down to a snail's pace as Natsu anticipated the blaze-despite the boy's better judgment he came running towards the orphanage despite the fear in the pit of his gut of its past and what it would mean if he went there.
But Natsu, despite his dread and sense of reason-he came to help. He had to be the hero that he needed when he was in that hell. But somehow, the thought of being a hero-made him feel an ache in his heart as it just reminds him that nobody came to save him in his darkest moments. His father-Finn saved him from drowning in the darkness that was his rage and anger at the world. And the boy will save Natsu will save these children as he wanted, and he will protect their humanity as Finn did for him.
So when Natsu finally arrived at the orphanage, the blaze was fully alive, Natsu with a small sigh put on his blue oni mask and spoke the words of, "Cool Flames, Come forth." And with those words black flame surrounded Natsu's body. And he ran in without a moment's hesitation- he won't he can't.
As Natsu ran into the blaze, he saw a figure run into one of the sleeping areas. Natsu was scared it was one of the caretakers, and he paused for a moment, but he bit his bottom lip and kept running forward. When Natsu ran into the room, he saw a pair of women and a group of children, one of the said women he remembered her get-up Thurisaz- the only one of that orphans that night who didn't want mindless bloodshed. But the smaller orphans- Natsu couldn't help but get a sense of familiarity out of them.
Natsu was in this damned place his whole childhood-he was more of a caretaker than any of those damned workers. Natsu helped nursed these children while sick or hurt- feed them his dinner when they were hungry. Natsu kept these children safe as he could back then-now now he will do his best to protect them from what they could become.
Natsu stood at the door looking at each of them-the orphans, not the women before he spoke that would betray his age to everybody in the room. "Are you children safe? Do you remember me?" Natsu asked the children-Natsu had a very distinct voice, and if any of them knew him from two years ago, they would know who he is. For he took care of them as best as he could.

Panting heavily, one little boy tried to ignore the screams and yelling outside. He was naturally curious, but they didn't sound good. Even if he wanted, he had to get out first! That door was the only way out, there wasn't even a window in this room! Not that he really wanted to in-vesh-to-mate anyway... the screams did not sound good, they scared himm... but he tried to block them out; he had to help his younger friends, 'cause that's what heroes did! All he needed to do was burst... through... this... door!
"Step back."
He blinked, readying to charge another shot, but someone on the other side of the door interrupted him, but he instinctively turned and ran from the door, covering his head just in time for the door to smash open, its weakened state splintering easy. As soon as it slammed open, he whirled around, then smiled widely when he saw not one, but three people. Getting stars in his eyes, he couldn't stop himself from throwing his hands up in excitement, yelling at the top of his voice. "HEROES!" Grinning ear-to-ear, he whirled around to the three other kids in his room. "I told you they'd come! Now they're here to save us!" He put his hands on his hips, puffing his chest out and laughing heartily, almost blinded but his own glee.
The other children, however, were more worried; with rescue now in sight, they started weeping, each of them running into the arms of the three that came; one ran to Kado, thanking her over and over and over as she clung to her skirt, another clung to Lilith's leg, the young boy staring up at her in awe despite tears streaming down his face, and the third one running up to Natsu, barely able to talk between his sobs. "N-N-N-Natsu?! How are you back?! I-I-I thought you escaped!" The little one that tried to bust down the door ran up to them, and saluted, "Takahiro, future hero, reporting for duty!" His derpy grin - missing a few teeth, even - was oddly positive and heartwarming despite the situation, but he got serious, taking a battle stance, running out the door to point his gun down both hallways, the holding it up. "The area's clear, but I don't know who else is out there! I'll help you guys search, you guys get those guys out, okay?!" He looked back at the others, grinning wide, clearly going to help whether they wanted him to or not.

Well this was to be partially expected... Someone had come to play at being a hero at the sight of the burning orphanage. For now she'd have to play it by ear but keep her cards close to her chest. Kado looked down at the small child clinging to her cloaks skirt, and began to run a hand through the young girls hair in an attempt to soothe their tears.
"It's alright... You'll be safe now. I promise you this." she said softly, before looking over towards Natsu who was recognised by the child with the metal arm. She turned her focus to the other masked woman. "I've got a van outside." the masked red head began to explain. "We should be able to get the children into there in order to keep them safe from the fire and smoke."
Kado then turned her gaze towards the young boy who was playing at being a hero. "Takahiro, you've done a good job so far..." she began to say, wondering how far she could question him with this stranger in the midst of the Marta's survivors. She decided to risk it for now. This kid was their only source of viable information for now. "Tell me, did the adults take anyone downstairs recently? Into the time-out rooms?" she asked the young boy carefully.
Whilst she waited for the young boys reply, Kado shifted her attention to Natsu. "They still remember you Natsu, so perhaps it would be best if you helped guide them to my van before returning for the next batch we find in here. A familiar and friendly face should help keep them calm during all of this." the older woman suggested before returning her attention to Takahiro.
"Now, you've done an excellent job so far, but whilst we look for the others, we need someone to look after the kids who make it to my van." Kado suggested, not wanting to risk a child's life playing hero. If he really did want to still be a hero after being in this hellhole for who knows how long, then he may be one of the few good seeds to grow from this festering pit of pain. No sense in letting such a bright soul go to waste...
"Who knows if the bad people might come looking, so it will be up to you to protect the others. Understood?" she asked, keeping the bad people part vague enough to not tip off the other woman that she meant the adults who ran this hellhole of an "orphanage". No doubt though Takahiro would grasp her meaning and behave accordingly.
She shifted her attention to the masked woman. "If you have healing abilities, I'd start using them now on the kids before they move, but save your stamina. There will no doubt be more waiting for us..." said Kado.

give me time and give me space To Lilith's surprise and delight, someone else decided to show up. A good guy from the looks of it. Nice oni mask. But it quickly became apparent that this guy was no stranger. He seemed to know the kids here, which was a relief. Perhaps it would be easier to keep these scared children calm by seeing a familiar face. Also, Lilith was a bit surprised upon hearing this masked guy's voice. Either he was an adult with the voice of a child, or that was one very tall teen. Not that it mattered much either way. Any and all help was very much appreciated.
Seeing the kids each run up to one of the three 'heroes' made Lilith feel bad. They must have been terrified! Hell, they're all probably still are! Lilith did her best to comfort and reassure the boy that was hugging her leg. A warm smile, a brief yet reassuring pat to the head, and crouching down to speak to the crying child at eye level. "I can't even imagine how scary it must have been for you and the others. But everything's gonna be fine now. I'll do everything I can to keep you safe. I won't let anything hurt you." Lilith was not the best at cheering people up by any means, but at least the lady was doing her best.
Then one of the other children spoke. It seemed that Takahiro was his name, and he seemed to want to play hero. In any other situation, perhaps this would have been adorable. But there was real danger here. Lilith did not want to let this kid run off and risk getting in danger. Still, she knew how stubborn kids could sometimes be, and it was best not to say anything to upset or anger him. Best to play along for now.
"I'm glad." Lilith smiled. "It's always good to see a dependable hero in times of crisis!" She was pleased to see that the other lady was thinking similarly and trying to stop Takahiro from doing anything reckless. "Pretty good idea! We're gonna need someone strong and brave to watch over the others in case anyone bad comes along. I believe in you, Takahiro!" Indeed, it was best for him to stay behind while the adults went in to face the danger head on.
"Understood." Lilith nodded at the woman's words. It was wise to use her quirk and heal any injuries, but not overdo it in case there were more victims in need of healing. Lilith then turned to the children. "Are any of you hurt? I can heal you with my pink mist if you have any injuries. And I promise there's absolutely no pain. You won't feel anything. My quirk is more gentle then a tiny breeze." Of course, it would be bad if the children refused to let themselves be healed if they thought it would be painful or scary. So it was important to throw away any form of worry.
If any of the kids did step forward, Lilith would activate her quirk and let some pink mist form around her, carefully inspecting her patient to check for injuries before beginning the healing process. And true to her word, there would be no pain, no uncomfortable feeling as the pink mist made contact.

Natsu usually recoils and is quite averse to physical contact, let alone hugs-but not when it came to these children- not the children that he played a part in raising.
Natsu hugged the child back that he knew by his name Takashi. He was small when he first arrived at the orphanage, probably about two or three, Natsu practically kept him alive long enough to see this day- Natsu couldn't tell if his kindness was cruel or mercy. He must've been so lonely and scared here without him- Natsu's hug tightens around the boy but not enough to hurt him.
"Takashi-I'm so relieved to see you alive again- I came back- to take you, and the others' to safety for that's my duty as Natsu-Nii!" Natsu brotherly said, in a tone, he hasn't used for a long time, it felt right-it natural to him.
Natsu let the small boy end the hug before responding to the two women and Takahiro. Which he responded with a simple nod of his masked face, then Natsu looked over at the two other children- Marie and Ryutaro. Another pair of children he played a part in helping grow into what they are today. Natsu used his big brother voice to speak up again, "Marie, Ryutaro. Once the woman heals your wound, I will take you out of here." Natsu says in his confident voice he only had while talking to the younger orphans here-they needed it-he needed it.
Natsu looks over at Takahiro, with a fond smile under his mask. "Takahiro-Kun, I'm glad the last two years hasn't changed you, Despite everything, you're going to make an amazing hero." Natsu fondly says before he went to his serious voice, "Which is why you need to do as the women say- Takahiro-you need to be there for the others-like the hero we believe you can be-as the hero that you are." Natsu said genuinely-he genuinely believes this child that he has seen repeatedly get in trouble with the care-takers- the older orphans- heck even Natsu himself when he pushes himself too hard to play protector and hero. He has a true hero's heart. He was and is braver than he will ever be.
Which is why he has to try harder every day to do good by them, to be the hero that Takahiro believes them to be. Natsu has to be the hero they always prayed would come to save them from here. It stung his heart- with the honor of playing such a role in these children's lives- it ached with the pain that nobody came for them after all these years. He will be the hero to these children that Finn was to him in the darkest moment in his life.
Natsu waited for the woman he didn't know to heal the children before looking at the four children and then speak in a gentle yet firm voice. "C'mon, we have to get out of here, Takahiro, Takashi, Marie, and Ryutaro, now." Natsu says as he started to collect the children, and then he looks back at the woman with a healing quirk and asked before they left, "What do I call you?"

Wow, it was already getting a little warm, how close was the fire...? Wait, it didn't matter, he was a hero, he could handle a little warmth! If he wanted to help, he couldn't let a little fire stop him, no way! He whirled to everyone as they talked to him, and grinned his derpy grin again as they talked about how proud they were of him! Calling him dependable and everything! He flexed his one stick-like arm, proudly declaring, "I'm just doing what I can! I'm Takahiro, future hero! I can protect my friends, no problem!"
With that, he whirled to them, snapping his fingers - his equivalent of clapping hands - and put his foot down to stand at attention. "Takashi! Marie! Ryutaro! The heroes are calling for our help!" Each of the three kids looked at Takahiro as he addressed them, and none of them approaching Lilith for healing - they were all in perfect health. "Shi-kun, take my shirt. Marie-chan, take his hand. Taro-taro-kun, take her hand. I'll lead you out!" Each of the kids looked fearfully between each other, but as Takahiro dramatically flipped his oversized shirt in an attempt to look like a cape, they each did as they were told. Grinning up at the team of 'heroes', he said, "Don't worry, I'll take good care of them!"
At the question of anyone going down, he frowned, looking away. For a moment, he couldn't answer. "Yeah... he's a scary guy..." He scratched his head awkwardly, not enjoying talking about him. "He's new here... I think he's been here for almost a year now? I remember 'cause he came in with scary markings on him..." Marie suddenly spoke up, yelling at Takahiro. "Nuh-uh, he's not scary! He's really cool!" Ryutaro then spoke, adding, "No way, he's scary, didn't you hear what he did before he came here?" Marie turned behind her, glaring, "It's a lie, I'm sure of it!"
While the two started yelling at each other like, well, children, Takahiro looked up at the redhead. "Hisakawa-san was taken down to the time-out rooms a few days ago because he attacked one of the caretakers. Don't know why, though. He's probably in the one at the end of the hall, the metal one, because he's really strong...." Takahiro frowned worriedly, adding in a mutter, "stronger than me..."
Again, Marie piped up, the young girl quick to come to this 'Hisakawa-san''s defense, "He did it because they were beating up one of the kids!"

The metal one... Oh Kado remembered "the metal one" quite vividly. They would put her into that one a few times when she'd triggered a particularly strong incarnation of her Summon Quirk during her time here at Marta's. "I know the metal one Takahiro. I know it quite well. Thank you for telling me. Now you take care of the others." she said to the young boy, the venom in her voice quite evident before looking at the two adults in the room.
"Natsu, do you know this Hisakawa? Anything I should be made aware of besides him being strong?" she asked, figuring that since he was the more recent one out of their little band of runaway misfits to leave here, he might know more about the one locked up down below. She then turned her attention to the woman. "I'll handle the downstairs, you keep looking on this floor before making your way upstairs. Keep an eye out for any more closets, especially ones with chain locks on the outside." Kado ordered.
No doubt the healer could figure out by now that the other two adults in the room had been here before at some point in the past. Best case scenario, she'd still be on their side and focus on saving the children from the fire. Worst case scenario, she'll help in saving the children but will try to alert any of her heroic friends to their activity here thinking, quite rightly so, that Kado and Natsu had something to do with the fire in the first place.
Either way, she'd wait for any information Natsu could provide her, even if it was a simple case of nothing before she would start to make her way towards the entrance to the basement levels of the orphanage. It felt strange to be heading that way of her own free will and volition, and not being dragged by the caretakers...
Just the thought of those bastards filled her heart with searing rage that rivaled the heat of the flames burning around them. But she had to focus through the hatred for now. Right now there was a child in a metal box, underneath a building that is on fire. Whilst she made her way down the stairs, she kept her eyes out for any traps or defences that the orphanage had set. In case anyone ever got loose from the cells below...

give me time and give me space For a moment, Lilith had a slight frown on her face. Not long enough for anyone to have easily noticed unless they payed attention, though. Still, she could not help but feel slightly concerned. None of the kids approached her for healing, presumably because none had any injuries. But was that really the case? Were they all really uninjured, or were they frightened, not wishing to approach the lady out of fear? It was understandable if that were indeed the case, but what if there were issues later? Lilith hoped that it was nothing to worry about, but one could never be too sure.
"Ah, right." Being lost in thought for a moment, Lilith almost missed what that guy was asking her. She then smiled. "You can call me Myst." It sucked that she needed to hide behind her mask and identity. Naturally, it was a lot tougher to trust someone who would not divulge their real name. However, this was an unfortunate necessity. She simply could not let her day life and night life mix together.
Upon hearing the other woman's words, Lilith nodded. "Right, I understand. Leave it to me." It sounded like a solid enough plan. Each one split up and search the burning building from opposite directions in order to cover more ground. Lilith had no problems with this plan. As long as the kids were safe and out of harm's way, then there was no issue.
Naturally, it would not take very long for Lilith to piece together the fact that the other two 'heroes' were apparently part of this orphanage. Of course, that alone did not mean much by itself. While it was possible that one of these two might know more about what's happening here than they're letting on, it was far too soon to make assumptions. Besides, Lilith was not thinking about the arsonist that started this fire. Right now, she was more concerned with the possibility of more victims trapped here and in need of saving. Right now, they were the main priority.
I have to move quickly, Lilith thought to herself. If there is anyone else still here, I need to get them all out before it's too late!

Natsu became stiff- as the memories of the steel room ebbed its way into his memories. They would lock him in there for hours or even days at a time when his quirk manifested and lashed out at the staff to protect him. Natsu quietly calmed himself down from the memories.
Natsu's thoughts got clouded by dread and fear of that dark and cold room. Until a gentle reminder of the word-Dad- came to his mind, and the voice of his adopted father Finn rang in his ear, and Natsu imagined in his voice, "Natsu, you'll be fine, I won't anything like that to happen to you."
And with that bit of encouragement from himself, but in his dad's voice, Natsu calmed down enough to focus back to reality. He heard his name mentioned and a name he never heard of before- Natsu shakes his head and says "I'm sorry I think he arrived after my time here-" Natsu responded honestly.
And Natsu nodded along to Thurisaz's plan and said-"Will do if you guys can't reach somewhere due to flames- look for me my quirk can snuff flames-" Natsu said as he for once was internally thankful for his quirk. Natsu then looked over at the other woman named Myst, and he says- "good to be working by your side-Myst." And with that Natsu looked the kids over and said - "Takahiro, Takashi Marie, Ryutaro go now, we will bring more out soon." Natsu instructed the kids out of the room and down the exit as best as he could.
Natsu's immediate thought and action were to get out of the room and head down the hall-making use of his quirk by turning it on and layering himself in a coat of flames. Not only did this keep him cool, but it would also protect him from any flames trying to blow his way. He has to hurry!

[Kado]
Boy, it was kind of loud up there... should he go up there and check it out? That would mean leaving his post... last time he did that, he got punch to the face... hell, he could still feel that punch if he thought about it hard enough. Damn bastard had a hell of a right hook... nah, fuck that, he was comfortable right where he was. Besides, it wasn't that loud.
One black-haired man leaned back as he rolled the worry off of his shoulders, pushing his chair onto two legs. A funny smell was filling the area; pot, for those that that was familiar with the scent. All he had to do was keep an eye on the cages, as they were called here; no one was getting out of those, so there was nothing wrong with spending his time getting high; it wasn't like they were gonna get out. So he could relax, lean back, and chillt he fuck out, and even watch an old movie on a little TV. Really, this was the easiest job.
He chuckled as something funny happened on his TV, taking another drag, and he just so happened to look over as one lone girl walked down the hallway. "What the? Oh, heeeey!" He grinned, his chair slamming into the ground, getting up and smiling at her. "They sent down a pretty lady for me? ...Wait a minute..." Even with his red eyes holding him back, he seemed to be a quick thinker. "What's with the mask, lady? Not some kind of weird... o.... OH SHIT!"
In an instant, he somehow managed to connect the dots, and before the masked villainess could react, he whipped out his handheld from his pocket, pointing a pistol down the hallway at her. "Hoooooold up, lady, we're gonna have a problem if you keep walkin'... unless it's the other direction, get it? Dunno who you are, but I know you ain't supposed to be down here. Who the hell are you anyway?"
He was still at least half of a hallway down, so it wasn't like she'd be able to run for him without risking getting shot....
[Lilith]
For a few hallways, the heroic Myst would see no victims, older or younger; the orphanage had already been working on an evacuation, so it seemed like most everyone got out. She'd see discarded teddy bears that had yet to be touched by the fire, groups of toys suddenly dropped in the panic... as well as fire, plenty of fire, that was quickly filling up her path. She had to dodge a falling beam going up one set of stairs! But, it also smashed the stairs and trapped her at this level....
But, soon enough, something other than crackling and crashing hit her ears. It was a banging, rthymic and consistent; one bang... another bang... it was a distress call, someone was banging something metal on wood! Following the sound brought her to a broken door, one that was open, thankfully, but broken off of one of its hinges. Instead of the room was the source of the noise; one kid had gotten pinned by a piece of ceiling; to his luck it wasn't burning - though it was close, with the fires in the room - but it was sitting over two of the limbs.
As soon as he saw her, he gasped, immediately tearing up. "H-Help me! This thing fell on me and my arm and leg hurt!"
He didn't even know it, but his arm and leg were both very broken, though he was abrave little soul for not crying out in pain,a nd even managing to figure out a way to call for help...
[Natsu]
Natsu's ability came in handy in a place like this; it was like water to a fire... but only to a point. Even for something as ravenous as his quirk, there was simply too much heat to eat; he could protect himself just fine, but the fire had spread so far, so deeply, so strongly that any hope of actually fighting it was long gone. He could put out some flames, but they'd be replaced almost as fast. Even if he was already planning on it, he would have to focus on searching. But then he'd hear laughter. It was down the hallway, a left turn, and a right, but it was laughter in the middle of this fire.
In the middle of a large room, a play room by the looks of it, there was a little girl. Natsu recognized this girl as Ella, a girl almost as old as him. She was giggling as she often did, but it was more sinister, more... genuine than he remembered. She was always a little bit creepy, not unapproachable, but she always handled the abuse of Saint Marta's better than someone should... and now she was laughing.
"Hahahahaha! Yeah, Iroh, yeah! Eat everything you can! Devour it all! Take this fucking place and burn it to an ashy crisp! Erase it from the planet!"
She laughed more, and within the flames, something stirred. It was something half the size of the room, a truly monstrous thing, a lizard-like creature made entirely of flames. It was like some sort of giant lizard or dinosaur, walking on four legs, stepping over wood and stone, lashing its tail around adding to the fire.
Natsu would remember her quirk. She used to play with it, show it off like a pet; he would remember it no bigger than a gecko. But now that it was feeding off the entire building, it was bigger than a car. It always did grow bigger when it got to 'eat', but maybe this was a little too much....

Of course there was still a guard down here. Even with Saint Marta's literally being burned to the ground above them, there was still someone guarding the cages and their "little monsters". Kado very slowly raised her hands as the man pulled a gun on her. "Easy there big boy, I'm not here to fight~" she said slowly, and with a hint of sultry thrown into it. Judging from the smell down here, the bastard was high and if her memory served her right about the guards from when she was here...
One hand went ever so slowly to the clasp that held her cloak in place, and she removed it, the cloak dropping sensually to the floor. Her other hand went up to her mask and casually removed it, her eyes half-lidded as Kado looked the man up and down. "Do you remember me Takedo-sama?" the red head asked as she cautiously walked towards him, slightly exaggerating the sway of her hips in the process.
"I was the flower girl. You loved to watch me squirm and scream with that tight, nasty, shock collar in my cage, back when I was a bad, bad, naughty little girl~" Kado said, almost purring out the words as she slowly swayed closer to him. If she had managed to get close enough to him by now without him discharging his weapon, she would try to bring up one leather gloved hand and run it across the man's cheek.
"Now I'm all grown up... and I'm still a bad, bad, naughty girl..." said the red head, leaning forward as she tried to whisper in his ear. "I've done a lot of naughty things Takedo-sama... would you like for me to give you a... demonstration?" Kado asked, one of her hands travelling down the man's chest, all the way down. Her fingers "tip-toeing" as the hand made its descent. "We could even relive the old days if you want... only this time, you'd get to properly play with me, with nobody to get in your way~" she suggested.
Assuming that everything had gone according to her plan, and Takedo was mostly seduced and far more importantly, less likely to shoot her dead right now... Well, whatever he was smoking is a plant-based substance after all.
The second he'd put the gun away, which he hopefully would after this performance, Kado would attempt to call forth Thorn by summoning him via the drug's remains and subsequently have the diminutive plant wyvern latch onto the bastards head and begin tearing it apart with fang, claw and razor thorns.
If she couldn't summon Thorn due to the drug being something other than a plant... well, a good swift knee to his happy place right now followed up by trying to get him in a choke-hold should do the trick just as well.

give me time and give me space As Lilith moved, she saw a lot. A lot of dropped and abandoned toys, a lot of fire, a lot of smoke, a lot of damage. Who would want to burn an orphanage down? And why? But now was not the time or place to think about that. For now, she needed to keep moving. She could not hear the sound of people just yet. But was it because there was no one left to evacuate? Or was it because anyone still here could not cry for help? Regardless, Lilith needed to be thorough in her search. She could not afford to miss anyone.
Naturally, it would be very dangerous to remain here for a long period of time. Even if Lilith could continue to avoid the expanding sea of flames, the smoke everywhere could prove to be a massive issue. The last thing she needed was to cough and collapse from smoke inhalation. Fortunately, the lady thought of a solution. She would begin to concentrate, activating her quirk and enveloping herself in layers of compressed pink mist. This would hopefully prove to be durable enough to protect her from harm. In addition, Lilith was moving the mist around in a fanning motion, aiming to push any smoke away from her in the event that the mist itself was not enough to block out the smoke.
Of course, this solution was only a temporary one. With the concentration required to keep her quirk active, as well as running around and searching for anyone trapped here, it was going to be quite taxing. Lilith was fine for now, but there was no way she would be able to keep this up indefinitely. Eventually, the migraine that came with the prolonged use of her quirk would come and make things even trickier. Despite that, however, Lilith was determined to endure for as long as necessary. No backing down now!
As she went up the stairs and narrowly avoided a nasty concussion from a falling beam, Lilith's eyes widened as she saw the collapsed beam crash down the stairs and block the way back. Fucking damn it! But there was no time to dwell on being trapped here. Lilith needed to search this floor. Time was of the essence! She could worry about how to escape after making sure there was no one else trapped here, or rescuing anyone who was.
Speaking of which, Lilith heard the banging sound and quickly made her way over to the source of the sound. Holy shit! Lilith was both shocked and relieved to see someone here. Unfortunately, the poor kid was pinned down by a collapsed part of the ceiling. Rushing over to the boy's side, the lady did her best to comfort the poor child as she began to think of how to free him. "Don't worry, I'm gonna get you out of here." Lilith began to slide some mist under the collapsed ceiling. Even if she was not strong enough to lift the whole thing, Lilith wanted to try and lift at least enough of it to be able to free the boy.
As she worked, Lilith smiled as she began to chat with the boy in an attempt to distract him from the pain and fear. "My name is Myst. Could you tell me your name? If you want to, of course." Upon getting the poor kid free, Lilith noticed his arm and leg. Yikes, that needs some serious treatment now! How this boy managed to not scream out in pain, Lilith could not even begin to guess. But right now, the objective was to help prevent this poor boy from becoming a casualty. As the boy's leg was clearly broken, Lilith decided to carry him gently. "Alright, I gotcha. Let's head out now." At the same time, she sent her mist to wrap around the boy's broken limbs and begin the healing process.
Naturally, there was a lot of multitasking going on. Using her mist as a protective shell to defend against the smoke, fire, and debris, as well as healing the child's injuries. All while moving around and carefully carrying the boy in a way that would prevent him from sustaining any further injuries. Lilith could already feel a small headache forming. She could ignore it for now, but it was only going to gradually get worse and worse. She needed to hurry. There was not much time.
For now, Lilith's objectives were simple. First, keep the poor boy safe and comfortable as his injuries were being tended to. Second, continue to search the floor for other kids that might still be trapped here. Third, keep the fire and smoke as far away as possible. And fourth, find an exit after rescuing everyone else on this floor (or ensuring that there was no one else on this floor). Worst case scenario, Lilith would need to smash a wall to make a hole outside, then levitate out to safety. Either way, Lilith was determined to save as many people as she could.
