 Shopping bag in hand, Karen stepped out of a certain store in Akihabara looking pretty pleased with herself. The bag in question contained no less than ten of the latest released summer titles. She could safely say that she was ready for her annual summer break gaming binge. With school closed and her summer homework completed within the first few days of the break, she now had quite a bit of free time. So it had become sort of a tradition to catch-up on games she had missed while she was focused on school work while also checking out any new ones she could grab. Her shopping aside, it felt refreshing to visit Akihabara again after the busy exam weeks. It was as lively as ever. The summer comic market was coming up soon and she could already see tons of promotions all around. She would definitely be back here again on that weekend just to have a look. For now she would just enjoy the walk back to the station while occasionally stopping by to peer at windows and shop displays. She was in no hurry as she had technically already met her objective for today's trip. But she felt it would be a waste not to take this opportunity to wander just a bit. Still she kept aclose eye on the time. She wasn't planning to be out there all day. There was some gaming to do back in her dorm room. She pondered if she should try getting someone to join her. This was her first summer break solo. Before she had a roommate who would indulge her requests when they weren't busy. This was certainly one of the times she missed that kind of company. Who was even staying at the dorms for the break anyway? She knew a few classmates had gone home for the summer. So the building really was a bit emptier than usual. She would continue to walk towards the station, occasionally stopping to look up when a maid or some other character cosplayer approached her with a store flyer.

Emi had been roaming Akihibara to pass the time. She was wearing a long sleeved purple hoodie, jeans, and sneakers with a small backpack on her back. To her, it was starting to feel like today was one of those days where she felt like no matter what she did she would still feel unsatisfied. That didn’t stop her from indulging herself a little, looking at the wares being sold in shops, more specifically, she was looking through hero merchandise and trying to decide on what to buy for herself in the future. Before she could think about it any further, she managed to catch sight of someone interesting passing by in the reflection of the shop window she was peering through.
She’d recognized her from her viewing and cheering on at the Sport’s festival, she was one of the participants. “Ah...what was her name again…” She mumbled to herself as she tried and failed to recall the girl’s name. She stepped away from the window and slowly turned her, watching her head down the street. She let the girl move further away before she started moving after her, walking to keep in pace with her. She was glad to have come to Akihibara today or else she would have missed the opportunity to shadow a hero student.
She followed after her, trying to keep out of sight of her by ducking into shops and blending in with other people. She pulled up her hoodie and neatly tucked her hair inside the hood, pulling a little bit more over her head so a part of her face was in shadow. She thought about pulling out her mask from her bag but decided against it for now, she was only following after a hero student after all. She’ll put on the mask should she be confronted and the situation escalate.

As it happened 'heading back to the station' was easier said than done. Akihabara was quite simply full of distractions that would grab the attention of a gamer and cosplayer. For instance she was drawn into certain shop with some people cosplaying as the characters of one of the games she just bought earlier. And it was such a good cosplay that she simply had to ask if she could take a picture, both for collection and reference purposes. After a quick selfie with her phone, she thanked the cosplayers for their time and headed out of the shop again. No sooner did she get back on the street when she was once again dragged off to another spot by her curiosity. Another store was raffling off some limited edition prizes again related to a game being promoted. To enter in the lottery one just had to present proof of purchase of the game. This was a title she had held off buying earlier, but with limited edition prizes at stake, the game enthusiast was not going to pass up the newfound opportunity. She quickly headed inside to the counter to make her purchase and secure a ticket. Once she had done so, she went back to the raffle area to line up at the lottery spin. All things considered, she was a fairly well-off girl and could probably buy whatever the prize was in the after market online. But she was here for the experience as well as to show support for the game. It really was a good thing that she didn't have any other appointments that day. Because at the rate she was going, she probably wasn't going to head back as soon as she had planned. Naturally with all the distractions, she could hardly notice if anything was amiss. The thought of being followed probably never even crossed her mind. She was observant of her fellow fans however and noticed a few familiar figures that she was almost sure she had seen in the other places she went. But at the moment she simply thought of it as a coincidence.

She still hid her face and kept her distance as she followed the familiar looking girl around, her nervousness growing little by little for every minute that passed. Her breathing became shallower as she started taking shorter breaths, her heart was pounding nervously in her chest, threatening to burst out. She excitedly followed her with both her body and eyes, always from the side and from far away, as she made a few stops to a few places.
Her first stop was at a game shop with some cosplayers in them and she looked in from the outside. Her hand twitched erratically as she looked on, pushing down her pyromania and fighting off the urge to set the shop ablaze as soon as her stalking victim left. She lingered for a few seconds when she left before clenching her fist and power walking after her. The next stop that she made was at another game store holding a raffle and same as the first store she looked in from the outside as her target did her thing. This time her other hand came up to hold down her other hand from lifting up and lighting something on fire.
It was always harder to control her pyromania when around her objects of obsession, that combined with the fact she hadn’t gone out to indulge her mania in a long while was really pushing on her self control. If she didn’t distance herself soon or light something ablaze her suppression was going to stop working. She could already feel the urge to burn rising. “Just...just a little bit more then I’ll go.” She told herself as she continued to look on and stalk her victim. She started breathing deeper and forcefully shoved her hands into her pockets, gripping onto its insides.
