Personality:
Momo tends to give off this aura of naive positivity and wonder; it's evident all over her face and in the way she moves. People who look at her see this radiant glow all about her features, from her wide, beaming blue eyes to that small, innocent smile. In general, she seems to look like a girl who would at least be fun to talk to and has a lot of energy.
Her short stature tends to make people think she is physically weak, which isn't exactly wrong. Her body is for the most part lithe and thin but her muscle definition is very lacking, with weak shoulders and minimal visible athleticism. She does have some womanly features owing to an early development but it is impossible to see how her body will look once she is finished growing; even if it seems to be trending towards a naturally hourglass figure, with wide hips and a large bust.
Although at first her hair appears pink, it is in fact translucent with a pink tinge to it. A side-effect of her Quirk is that her hair is made up of thousands of small strands of fibre-optic cable, each one about the same width as a human hair and about as strong. When a light is shined on her hair, it turns from pink to a rainbow of hues as the light refracts through it with only a slight pink tinge; as such, during the day her color seems to shift between the colors of the rainbow depending on where the light is shining from, sometimes even looking like a full rainbow.
In terms of attire, Momo tends towards dresses and other more traditionally girly clothes, usually in some variation of pink or other bright summer colors. Of course, as a U.A. student, she wears her uniform to school, complete with the standard blazer and shirt, with long pleated skirt down to her shins on the bottom or sometimes a black formal dress with the blazer over the top. Yet consistent across all of these is a love of hair bows, usually small ones attached to her bangs in some way, or on a hat.

Personality:
If one were to describe Momo in a single word it might honestly be a little difficult to do so. Loud, maybe. Impulsive, certainly. Annoying, probably to most. Yet no one can deny how happy and warm and loving she is to everyone she meets, no matter who they are, often overly so. Being someone who enjoys physical affection, she often tends to love hugging people and just generally being up in their personal space, which tends to make people very uncomfortable, even if she's just being friendly.
She has a very strong tendency to be loud and obnoxious, usually without realizing, getting excited or hyped about particular situations very easily. In fact it's very rare to see her quiet in any way, she's usually either humming, singing, talking or making some sort of noise. Her reactions to any given situation are often over the top, earning both the ire and amusement of others, which can sometimes get her ostracized from social situations despite being very personable and outgoing. Yet when there's a situation where there is just too many emotions or different stimuli, she can tend to kind of go into panic mode, unsure what to to do.
Perhaps the most defining aspect of her character, or rather the one most people talk about is her clumsiness and lack of coordination. Having a Quirk that requires good coordination and balance to function properly this tends to make her a bit of a laughing stock, which she takes surprisingly well all things considered. This is compounded with her complete lack of any sense of direction, which makes it hard for her to determine where she is in a space without being able to visually identify any landmarks. If you follow her, you're going to get lost, no matter what.
Momo does have a very strong streak of mischief and prank-pulling, often trying to use her invisibility to make people trip or do silly childish things to people to amuse herself. However, she is also very inept at it, even if she enjoys it. It's not uncommon for people to see her pranks coming before they happen, or easily spot her when she's trying to sneak around.
HISTORY
Momo is a strange girl born to an even more strange family. Their home life was chaotic, moving from city to city across Japan as Momo's father opened up more and more 'better' locksmithing shops, though it was never a bad time really. Hectic but not stressful. They had each other, that's all that really mattered. Momo's mother described her father as 'the most dedicated locksmith in the entire country, honestly a bit too dedicated'. He would spend days tinkering in his workshop, trying out new designs, dismantling and re-assembling prototypes.
As a young girl Momo took a lot of pride in and had a lot of fun helping her father with his business. At first it was just bringing him his lunch, then as she got a little older it was teaching her the basic mechanics of a lock, then it was how to pick one. Eventually she was able to completely take apart a lock and reassemble it blindfold; which her father thought was a bit of an excessive trick. Little did he know there was a reason she was practicing that.
Y'see, Momo was a Quirker. The first in her family line. A random mutation, perhaps from a recessive gene, or perhaps as a result of some sordid extra-marital affair. Where it came from was a problem for her parents to sort out, what did did with it was hers to determine. She kept it secret from them for many years, not quite understanding the concept of Quirkers and non-Quirkers, being unable to really settle anywhere for very long. For a while she believed she was the only one in the world with a special power like this.
Then one day her mother found her, after she had snack downstairs while invisible to steal a cookie from the biscuit tin and had slipped down a few stairs. A few bruises, nothing majorly injured, but after a trip to the hospital it was confirmed that yes, Momo was indeed a Quirker. And a very usual one at that. Her power was, at least as far as they were aware, both a very rare and very, very powerful one. Suddenly her parents were feeling the pressure to send her to U.A., which had never even been considered as a plan for their baby girl.
Could they risk her getting hurt?
Her middle school life was hazy. It was the first time she'd ever really stayed in one place long. Influential people in the city, pro-Quirkers interested in Momo's power, bought into her father's company and turned it into a general engineering and design company. Her father was the CEO, she was suddenly allowed to attend a prestigious school, meet people who were rich, do things her family had only ever dreamed of. But the price was barely ever seeing the father she loved so much. The father who had spent so much time in the workshop with her.
Still, it wasn't in her nature to cry or mope about something, as much as she wanted to. She swallowed her frustrations, her despairs and moved on, trying to live her life as a normal middle schooler. But as high school loomed closer, she was starting to feel a great deal of apprehension, as was her mother. Considering all of the stories that were coming out about Quirkers and Heroes; the Semper Fi incident, the rising crime rate, Ishtar's declaration... is this the life they wanted for their daughter.
Momo wasn't really sure she wanted to be a hero. She loved heroes, she watched them all the time on TV, followed their stories, enjoyed supporting them... but could she really be one?
By the time high school selections came, the family was given a formal offer to attend U.A. They denied it. Partly due to her mother's worry and partly because she didn't feel like she deserved a chance to be like the heroes she so admired. She was just a clumsy girl who could turn invisible; just because her Quirk was powerful didn't mean she was.
So she attended a normal high school. And hated every second. She was one of the only Quirkers in a private school dominated by the Quirkless. Picked on, pushed around, discriminated against by the staff and the students... one day she just disappeared. She had used her invisibility, running out into the city and hiding in an alleyway. But she wasn't the only one there.
A wolf-mutation Quirker appeared, having seen her with his ability to smell, snatching her up and attempting to take her hostage after being pursued by a Hero. She was terrified, she didn't know what was happening. The Villain scrambled up on top of a building, only to be confronted by a pair of Heroes almost immediately. Serperior and Paw Might! She'd heard of them! In swift order they defeated the Villain and saved her, taking her back to her parents, where she tearfully confessed about the bullying and the fact that she ran away. Immediately her mother started looking for replacement schools.
And then they both saw it, the envelope with U.A. on the front...
And Momo knew what she had to do.
