To some it might had been a peculiar sight to witness, several police cruisers drove along the outskirts of Tokyo. Inside one of them was a elderly man, yet despite his age the firmness of his gaze and the strength of his posture made it clear there was something different to him. Seated next to him in the cruiser was a young woman, her features beautiful and elegant but there was also a sense of mysteriousness with her, perhaps due to the blindfold she wore. "So what do you think sir?" The woman asked, her tone soft and gentle while the old man gazed at the tablet in his hands, his fingers trailing along the screen. "Worrisome to say the least. What meaning do they have? What purpose is there behind those crimes? Any thoughts Priestess?"
The woman shook her head gently as the vehicle reached its destination. Outside it was evident something had been going on, for there were barricades set up and police officers present: a crime scene. Stepping outside the cruiser the man Priestess stepped further inside the area. "They have a peculiar motive for sure: There are much easier ways to get corpses. Why did they decide for those particular ones? Not to mention, I can't say there is a recurring pattern or link behind each case." The old man laughed weakly at her words, scoffing lightly afterwards. "This entire case is a fucking mess, a crime scene with no body?" He groaned slightly as he stopped beside the spot several forensic experts were investigating things carefully. At the first sight it seemed like an ordinary well-maintained grave. There was the gravestone, clean and slightly moist, as if it had just been attended to, flowers in front of it, but that was where things ceased being ordinary. The soil had been disturbed, dug aside by something or someone and the coffin inside had its lid opened.
"No clues, no witnesses... At first sight it might seem like a miss-placed prank, a meaningless joke." Yet the Priestess shook her head lightly in return to that statement, her head dipping slightly downwards as she spoke softly. "I doubt this is a meaningless act sir, after all... villains always have a purpose behind their actions, as trivial as they might seem."
A motive? But what in the world could be the motive for emptying those graves?! The man rubbed the back of his head and groaned softly. "Call Touma and the others for a meeting, I want us to find out who is behind this..."
That evening...

This is Misuzu Hirayagi, and I am currently at Tokyo PD's headquarters to bring you the latest update on a mysterious collection of crimes that has been going on. Throughout the entirety of Tokyo and Musutafu a collection of graves has been found to be mysteriously emptied overnight. While the police is currently investigating the matter, they have said that for the sake of the investigation there will be no press briefing just yet. Witnesses who saw something unusual are requested to please report to the authorities at their earliest convenience.
