Mia didn’t know how mobile a lot of the interns and apprentices she was taking on where so when the bulky Yasashi asked to work under her Mia had taken the assumption that his quirk, while incredibly versatile, didn’t lend itself to being particularly agile, and arranged for the two of them to meet somewhere simple on ground level to go over some internship basics. She’d taken some advice from Hachi and Nimue to not go searching out trouble on these things, for her and the kid’s sake. Of course that didn’t mean she couldn’t try and give the kids something engaging to do, and who knew what could happen out on patrol but… well suffice to say she was learning to tone herself down a bit.
Where with Jasmine she made try and chase up the latest lead on a big criminal, or how she’d arranged for Kirk, Red, and Feng to patrol with her in the typically crime ridden red light district, with Yasashi she’d arranged a meetup in one of the quieter areas of Tokyo, not far from one of the primary train stops from the School either. Mia had just chosen a recognizable street corner, idly eating away at a double footlong subway, eyes peeking up whenever Yasashi arrived, hopefully in his hero gear which... if she remembered it correctly, was probably gonna make him stand out.
"Eyyy Yasashi just...Mmph. One sec..." She took a few more monsterous bites of what was left of her meal, a heavy lump in her throat as it pulled down into her stomache before pounding her chest once or twice to force it down the rest of the way. "Sorry about that just catching lunch while I waited. Ain't eaten half the day..." She rolled back her shoulders and clapped her hands together with a wide, white grin. "So! Ain't easy for me to get any direct cases lately cause... well, you can assume." She muttered idly, not wanting to bring their mood down too much with her problems and mentioning the whole red Rage incident. "Anyway, we're gonna be doing some patrol rounds today and see what we come across. I got whispers of some quirk related injuries around here so we're gonna be keeping our eyes out for any suspicious activity. You up for it?" Not the most engaging concept... but if Mia'd caught the rumors right she was curious to see how Yasashi could handle himself if they caught wind of their source.

This was his first day working with Red Horn on an official level. She'd advised him many times, vouched for him, reached out and supported him when he needed it. She was brash, and reminded him a little of his mother on occasion, but she had the decency to express her approval when it was the right time. Maybe it was that, or maybe it was the fact that she was one of the few people in the world that fully understood what it meant to have a quirk that was designed to instill fear, was like. Yasashi, to his credit, had kept his head as he changed into his full armor. His skull helmet and dark-grey armor stood out a great deal, his heavy body marching through the streets of Tokyo. He only had to show the internship badge once, but after that it was like word spread like wildfire.
The scary-looking man with the skull mask was a Hero in Training.
Despite the frightfulness of his appearance, that one bit of information had been enough for most folks to regard him with some level of appreciation or at least mild respect. It was thanks to that, that he kept his shoulders a bit broader, his back a bit straighter, and his head a little higher while he made his way toward the restaurant that Mia had suggested they meet at. Was he surprised to catch her eating? No. Was he jealous? Yes. He'd have to come here afterward. He relaxed against the wall next to him while she finished her meal, forcing it down and pounding her chest. Just like he would do. He laughed, "You should always make time to eat," He said, with a boisterous laugh. "I understand, that makes sense. It's good to see you on the job again though," He said before raising his fist to his chest and clapping his armored knuckles against it with a loud rap; Just lead the way! I'll show you my best and newest skills," He said eagerly. | TAG WORDS NOTES

Mia's own smile was brightened a bit by the energy Yasashi exuded. While they'd first met with the hero in training putting himself at risk to protect civilians around him, a nervous boy with a lot of heart, his confidence seemed to have grown a fair bit over the past year and Mia was glad to see it. Another pat to her chest to make sure her food would definitely reach her gut and she gesture with a wave over her shoulder for Yasashi to follow as they got moving, making sure to talk as they started to move. "Heh, well I'm glad to hear someone say that. You should see the case load they've been letting me handle. I don't think any of the boys up top were happy about having to lift my probation but..." She pounded her chest and shot Yasashi a strong smile. "Ain't gonna let it get me down! I got a job to do and even in the worst of days, its a job I love doin'! Not gonna let one bad day ruin the rest of the ones I got ya know!?~"
Mia was honestly exuding energy. Some days this sensation of being a hero they were not too eager to keep around was... well, anyone could admit it'd be depressing, but Yasashi's presence was a good influence. The kid was an eager soul and put his best foot forward, and Mia didn't wanna be all depress espresso infront of an aspiring young hero like him. Her arms raised up behind her head, idly tipping it back while still keeping her eyes on the street as they walked. Thanks to their sizes, clear quirks and costumes, any crowd they walked through seemed to give them a wide berth.
"Still though, sorry I couldn't prepare anything more interesting for ya. I'd take you patrolling up on the rooftops but your quirk ain't exactly a mobile one right? As a bit of a foot soldier this is probably what a lot of your work is gonna entail, just patrolling the streets on foot, putting a good face on the hero program." Mia glanced as a kid being carried by their mother seemed to wave to her somewhat excitedly. Mia's smile softened as she started to wave back, only to pull her hand back down as she spotted the mother trying to keep their child's attention away from Red Horn.... yeah, trashing a few city blocks probably left a bad taste in the mouth. "Still though... it's good work." She muttered a little more idly before getting her energy back. "Honestly for some people getting paid to just walk around the city is probably ideal, hehehe!~"

Yasashi beamed at her, his eyes flashing as a way of showing his reaction to her statement. One couldn't see his face behind the mask so expressions were a little limited. But he could use body language and his eyes. The glowing orbs brightened with delight when he stood up straight. "Any case load is a good case load, that's one more life saved and one more way to make our home safer!" He clapped his hand on his arm and flexed his powerful muscles. "BAHAHAHA! I'm looking forward to seeing that enthusiasm in action, teacher!" He said, his hands on his hips. He threw his head back in a boisterous laugh.
He walked alongside her as they made their way into the street, she kept filling him in. It was understandable that she couldn't make anything more interesting, given what she knew about his quirk; he smiled a little though at her concerns about mobility. He was a big guy and most people assumed he was a bit on the slower side, physically. He chuckled in a low tone, "I think I might surprise you, ma'am..." He said, resting his hand on his hip. He followed Red Horn's gaze to the woman, and saw the unspoken exchange, the quiet judgement, the resentment. Yasashi frowned and reached over, slapping his teacher on the back with one of his powerful hands. He nodded quietly, not saying anything but letting his blazing eyes say what he was feeling. Her comment on getting paid to wander made him laugh and he kept walking.
"When I was little, my quirk frightened the children and adults in my neighborhood. I was bigger, scarier, tougher," He glanced over at her and flexed his arm; "I thought to myself I'd never be able to help anyone if everyone's scared," He shook his head and looked out at the people who walked by. While some stared in fright and confusion, there were a few who recognized him from the sports festival, they gave him small smiles as they walked by, hero-fanning still wasn't a big thing yet. He clenched his fists; "I was so wrong, I get to be myself, help people, and embrace everything about myself by being a hero. Yes, I am scary, but its who I scare that's important," they passed by a small park and waved at those spending time. A few kids looked confused at him, about a dozen little hands popped out of his back all waving as well.
One of the kids jumped, the rest started laughing and waving. He turned away after they finished passing by with a small hop in his step; "It feels good to be out here," | TAG WORDS NOTES

Mia chuckled a little at Yasashi’s optimism. Jesus she was still young but she doubted she’d be able to keep up with some of these upcoming heroes when they really hit their stride, shaking her head in disbelief at how energetic he seemed even for what, to her, was a bit of a bothersome or even depressing topic… he was right though. Some hero work was better than no hero work, and even if it made for a boring load of internships and apprenticeships she was still happy to be taking these kids along with her and showing them the ropes of what it was like. Besides, some days could just be a boring patrol, so it prepared them for some of the less action packed days they may face in their lives. “Hahahah! Well so long as you spare some of your own to go around. I mean jesus kid save some for the rest of us there!~”
Mia’s red gaze seemed a little dulled after that brief exchange with the passerby, but it seemed she hadn’t been as subtle as she hoped as Yasashi caught her attention with a slam on the back, sharing a somewhat weak but still effort-ful smile back to her intern for the day, stretching her arms back over behind her head with a groan and just generally trying to ‘purge’ the uncomfortable feeling resting under her skin. It was a good day. No reason to let shit like that from strangers get her down… she was a good her. She knew that.~ Still, she’d listen to his encouraging words, chuckling a little. “Geeze kid you sure your not a full on pro? Your speeches are more motivating than mine… though that ain’t saying much.~” Mia chuckled again, fully aware her own words tended to lean on the side of… overly blunt, a lot of the time. Though…
“I swear though you stole half that speech from me or something. Pretty sure I’ve said those same lines to a dozen kids..” She smiled through a hand covering her face, just chuckling more still at her own hypocricy… she never tended to let things get to her. She tended to be firmly grounded in her sense of self and what she did but… with the red rage incident, it had thrown a wrench in things. It wasn’t that she’d started solely caring what others thought of her… it was that she could no longer trust herself. Her own body in how she was going to act. Blocking out everyone else was one thing but… constantly having to fight with her own body to get it to behave and not let loose like that again? That was something else… something really hard to handle, physically and mentally…
Now wasn’t the time to be depressing her intern though, and she slapped a hand on his shoulder, giving it a firm squeeze through his hero costume. “Yeah. It does.” Cause ya know what he was fucking right… no matter what shit Mia was going through she was still a hero. Her dream job… and fuck she loved it..
Mia, while holding a pleasant moment, suddenly felt the need to curse as a soft beep would ring in her ear and the earpiece Yasashi either had built into his costume, or would have been issued for his internship, holding a hand to it to listen in. The beep was just to signal an incoming message which soon followed-
’All heroes in the Musutafu area. We have reports coming in of a low end bank branch coming to a hostage situation. The criminal seems to have some form of debilitating quirk. No casualties but-‘
“RedHorn here cut to it.” Her voice was firm but not sharp, though to some it may have seemed mildly impatient.
’RedHorn… Right-‘
“Look before you complain you try and pick anyone else who’s got more to ‘debilitate’ than me. Even if I’m just holding the situation till someone else gets there keep talking.”
’Right. Right. 8th street bank, Froyd’s branch. 2 tellers, 5 civillian hostages. Police are scared to advance. I don’t have a visual but from their records they’re removing the bones of the hostages when advances are made. Seems quirk related rather than physical so do what you can’
Bone removal… geeze that was a quirk and a half to say the least but… right. They had a job. She glanced back to Yasashi and nodded. “Ready for some work kid? Really think you can keep up?”

Yasashi flushed a little under his helmet when she praised his good humor. He scratched the back of his head; shifting a little on his feet. He kept his pace with her though; walking alongside while she worked through her own feelings. The woman wore her emotions on her sleeve and her expressions were open and genuine. He smiled, it was an honest way to live, if a bit trying for some people. He found it endearing though and had no interest in seeing her bottle herself up all the time. He was just about to say something else when the beep came in over the comm channel. His own earpiece was worn directly in his ear underneath his armor. Simple enough.
He frowned when he heard the word debilitating and glanced at Redhorn when she cut to the chase. The guy on the other end didn't seem too pleased with the idea of giving her the case. When she shot back with the point that she was best to handle it; they conceded. They- bones? Yasashi froze, glancing over at Mia. The attacker was removing people's bones?! He grit his teeth and looked at his feet for a moment, taking a breath. He paused. Wait. He didn't know if it was the same. There was still no proof that the bones he made were exactly like human bones. They could be metal with a 'bone like' structure or something. He didn't know! There was no real way to test whether or not they counted as actual organic matter.
..well until now.
He looked over at her, swallowing once. He did not like the idea of engaging in violence; hopefully he could use his quirk to scare the guy into submit- no. He frowned again, the man was probably unafraid of things made of bones. Yasashi let out an exhale through his nostrils when another thought chimed in. He glanced at RedHorn. If. Hypothetically. He were to assist her in taking this person down. If he were to overcome this challenge. That would send a message. Not even a person with a bone damaging quirk stood a chance. More surrenders, more opportunities to avoid future violence and unnecessary bloodshed.
The ideas churned in his mind in just a few heartbeats before he looked back to her one last time and squared his shoulders; it really didn't matter what this did for his reputation. In the end, there were lives on the line and he couldn't let this person harm them. He exhaled through his nostrils once more, blue flames bursting from beneath his helmet. "Lead the way. I'm with you," | TAG WORDS NOTES

Mia smiled with a firm nod aimed back at Yasashi. Through the cover of the helmet it was hard to see his hesitation and his caution, but the resolve to push past it, that burst of blue flame was all she really needed to know he had this. With a firm slap on his shoulder, she started charging down a nearby alleyway, a fair bit of heft behind each running step she made as she charged head low towards the scene of the crime. "Alright! Keep up!”
Despite the urgency Mia wouldn’t ever get too far ahead if Yasashi was struggling to keep pace with her, and if his mobility was an issue, she’d take his hand when she was making leaps across the streets or up to the rooftops to help him on his way. If he could manage it himself though? She’d leave him to his own devices. Part of the point of these internships to Mia at least was helping these kids build confidence out in the field, and confidence with using their own abilities. Mia wasn’t about to let a criminal get away because Yasashi couldn’t keep up, but she wouldn’t make him feel like he didn’t have the speed or the skills to make it there himself if he clearly could.
Eventually, they’d arrive at a rooftop near the scene, Mia’s titanic leaps skidding to a halt at the corner of a rooftop, a few loose chunks of stone collapsing off the edge of the roof and down to the street below, briefly making the criminal at the centre of everything turn but Mia puilling back enough not to be seen. Besides, he was being pinned down by cops, he had bigger priorities right now than some noise off to the side.
“Yasashi you still got air in those lungs?” She’d remain crouched low even as she got close enough to the edge to get a view on things. She’d give him a firm pat on the back. “Okay. Job number one. Situational summary. What do you see, what do we have to look out for, what’s our priority in this situation.” A delay perhaps but this was a learning experience, and from the looks of things they had some time… with healing quirks being what they were it was likely anyone here, while likely traumatized would be able to physically heal over a long enough span of time, and if anything urgent happened Mia would be sure the two of them jumped into the fray before he was done.
The situation was, roughly, as follows. A short man, possibly even a rough voiced teenager, wearing a skull mask that covered the upper half of his face was holding the patrons of a small corner bank hostage. It wasn’t a place that would have stored a lot of cash but it had enough to be considered a ‘pay day’ at least. From their angle it was hard to tell but from the fact he had an empty duffle bag next to him it was likely the security guards had been slammed down and the guy didn’t have any money to get away with. He was using the hostages instead as leverage to get what he wanted. The police generally had the area surrounded but while some were trained on the entrance, a fair few were communicating, trying to see what they could do, maybe calling in other heroes. There was one clear hostage next to the criminal, their legs were… sickeningly limp. Likely more hostages inside. He’d call out loud enough to be heard.
“I BETTER GET MY MONEY AND A GET AWAY CAR SOON OR WE’LL SEE WHAT HAPPENS IF THIS BITCH LOSES HER SKULL!!!” There were no external injuries.

Yasashi swallowed hard and set his nerves, his eyes on Red Horn's back as she rushed forward. He kicked off the ground; he wasn't nearly as fast as her or as mobile, but he certainly had some speed and he could make up for his lack of mobility with the way his quirk functioned. He charged after her, leaving a small swirl of air behind him. He kept his mind on where she generally was but focused on his surroundings. As long as he had an idea of her location he was fine. He slapped the wall of the alley as he entered and a rod of hard-metal bone stretched out in front of him. He grabbed it and used it to hurl himself into the air, landing on the roof before using sheer strength to hurl himself with jumps behind her.
His movements were heavy and a bit loud but he was practiced enough to land without damaging property. Each sharp turn was accompanied by a new bone rod or some method to aid him in keeping his balance and turning. His eyes flicked around, looking for different places to create bone-structures and keep himself moving. He'd never had to think on his feet this much before; he'd practiced the movements in fort-slog, repeating methods over and over. But this was different. Thrilling. He stopped next to her and took a deep breath, no burn, not yet. He gave her a thumbs up; "I've got some stamina in me," He chortled, staring out at the scene. He listened to Red Horn as she walked him through the steps. A chill went down his spine when he saw the skull mask. He reached up and touched the similar looking mask on his own face.
He shook his head; "It looks like he hasn't got everything he came for," Yasashi said first, glancing up, his eyes glowed a bit and he took in what he was seeing. "...it looks like there are some people behind him as well, hidden by the wall..." He said, trying to get an estimate of the distance in his head. Learning distances was one of the first thing the trainers had pushed on him when mastering the creation aspect of his quirk. He rolled his jaw and eyed the woman's legs. His face fell. "...she is in trouble," The aura around her showed she was in dire straights. The cops were positioned well but it would also make the situation more tense.
"If I can get her away from him, I can isolate him for a few seconds with my quirk. But I don't know if his quirk will nullify mine and testing it would ruin our chance at surprise;" He said thoughtfully, his eyes glowing a bit brighter. He felt a pressure headache forming and he let the glow fade. "Ghr... still can't hold it for long..." He said, exhaling. "I can box him in, the other hostages are alive but some look weak. I don't think she's the only one he's hurt," Yasashi added. "They need to be moved. Quickly." | TAG WORDS NOTES

Minus the swords, and with the mask on (and a little creepier) this is our guy
Mia watched her aid for the day and how he seemed to be focusing intensely with the glowing in his eyes. Her own gaze drifted back to the building, spotting the discrepencies between what she could see and what he was saying. It was easy to ASSUME there were more hostages but he seemed pretty certain about it... could he see through the walls? Damn that'd be useful in her line of work, bursting through walls like she did... she took a deep, slow breath, nodding along as his summary of the situation. "You can see through the walls huh? Good... we can use that. You need time to charge that back up?" She could tell it was a strain on him, so she made sure she wasn't asking too much of him.
"It's a good plan, but the key thing is definitely the hostages... incase he can melt your bone structures too we need some more distance between him and the hostages..." She looked around the surrounding streets. Mia may not have been known for her brains but she'd been at this game long enough to have some good instincts. She shifted closer to him and pointed so he could easily follow the line her arm was making. "Alleyway beside the bank there-" She shifted to one further down the street. "Go in there so he dosn't see you, round the back. Be quick about it... on my signal, I need you to put walls between him and the hostages. Especially the ones you won't be able to see... sound doable?"
If he wasn't confident in it they'd come up with something else, but for now at least Mia gave him a firm pat on the back. "I'm gonna go act as a distraction. Move the moment you feel he won't catch you and get in position." She'd tap the earpiece in her ear, barely noticeable even with the lack of headwear she wore. "Channel 2 if there's a complication."
Shifting up and away from him, she took a few steps back before charging towards the edge of the rooftop, leaping out into the air with enough force to crack the ceiling she'd been standing on, landing with a heavy thud behind the police cars, skidding to a stop with a brief hop to her motions. Skull boy quickly wrenched up his limp legged hostage, holding an arm around her neck to force her up and his other hand hovering over her head. Mia filled in the cops on her plan in a hushed tone. They seemed unsure but that was perfect for the plan too, and soon enough she began to shift between the cop cars, pulling a gap between them to step through, arms raised.
"Really? I'm worth the big guns?" He was trying to seem confident but it was clear he was a little scared. he was young and he was in over his head. Mia knew that just made him more dangerous right now. "Number one right? I'm really worth all that?~"
"Number 5 actually but... who pays attention to the popularity polls?" She responded with a cheeky smile, trying to keep calm herself despite the risk to the hostage here. She was terrified. She could feel the absence of the bones in her calves and she didn't want to even consider what that might feel like if it happened to her skull. Mia took a deep, slow breath. "Okay kid... you got what you want. I'm your ride out of here."
The cops who weren't told the plan muttered behind her as the others filled them in, the hostage taker panting harshly before letting out a confused... "Huh?"
"You heard." She repeated, glancing to the side alley by the bank, waiting to see Yasashi in position before she continued. "I can leap over rooftops, you can't hide a tracker in me, you can pat me down. I'm safer than a getaway car and way more mobile. You let me give you a piggyback and you're outta here. You won't get the money but I'm sure you realized that half an hour ago."
She glanced back to Yasashi. She had a stern glare. This wasn't it. He was still holding the hostage tight but she needed a signal Yasashi was ready.

Yasashi sniffed and laughed a little under his breath; "Hardly, Witch Doctor thinks my brain is interpreting life-signs as a form of light," He said thoughtfully, rubbing his temple; "Less charge, more it's just been giving me headaches recently," He neglected to mention that a few PSC doctors had warned him that his quirk appeared to be unstable. Apparently he'd repressed it so much over the past few years that it wasn't even manifesting properly. They weren't sure what was going to happen once it finally took proper shape. He stopped himself from speaking, the last thing he wanted was to lose this chance to learn from her.
He squinted at the path she pointed out; "I can do that," He said confidently, angling to that direction. She gave him a pat on the back and he grinned, his eyes flashing beneath his helmet. He nodded, "Channel 2," He grunted, tensing his legs for a leap. He pushed off an instant after Mia did, hustling around back. He approached the rear door and placed his hand against it, taking a deep breath. He'd practiced this maneuver a hundred times but never in a situation that had lives on the line. Inside the rear-intake room of the bank, empty, a single bony arm grew out of the door, fingers tensing, and reached for the doorknob immediately opposite of the doorknob on his side.
If you know where the tip of my sword is, you know where my hands are, where I am.
Training. Study. He'd applied the principles of knowing by knowing to the doorknob. If he knew where one was, he knew where the other was. The hand grasped the knob and pushed down. A moment later, with no alarm sounding, the door opened. He was relieved that as long as the internal doorknob was turned, nothing happened. He dipped his head and slipped inside, closing the door delicately behind him and slipping forward. He strode through the rear hall, careful to pick his way around. Quietly skeletons began to take shape here and there, backup.
He held his breath, blue eyes flaring when he finally made way into the lobby. Skeletal hands gently wrapped around the hostages and covered their mouths. He held up his hand in front of his face, a finger up to where his lips would be as he watched Red Horn work. There was still one hostage gripped. He tensed his muscles, getting ready to form a wall between his side of the room and that of the criminal. She was - huh? Oh, she as distracting him. He'd almost got caught up in her act about the ride out of there part.
He took a breath and quietly began to move the few restrained hostages just far enough back to give him room to use his quirk. He couldn't draw them completely out of the room fast enough without drawing his attention. Yasashi stepped one pace to the right and clenched his fingers. He needed to get that man's hand away from that woman's head. Even if it meant physically restraining him. He glanced up at Red Horn and tapped his earpiece once.
That ready signal would have to do. | TAG WORDS NOTES

Mia didn’t feel the best knowing she might be having to put this kid through some sort of head-pain to do the job here today but given the risky situation she doubted he’d be complaining relatively speaking given what the people he’d be saving were going through. Ya know… headache compared to missing bones. Wasn’t really a fair comparison in the slightest if you wanted to make a competition of it. He seemed on board though so there wasn’t an issue to be made of it, buuuuut she’d be sure to get him some pain killers if he needed it once they were done.
Back with the hostage situation Mia was… a little unnerved by the skeletal hands covering the hostages mouthes where she could see. It was a fair enough move. Probably terrifying for them but it made sure none of them alerted the villain to the play at hand right now. Didn’t mean it was any less terrifying but that was something Yasashi had to generally tackle with his quirk. Something Mia had to tackle after her red rage incident, so she wasn’t gonna bash the kid, he was doing incredibly well for such a tense situation. No offense to Jazz but he was probably the most ‘on the ball’ kid she’d dealt with for a situation like this.
She didn’t let her eyes drift to the hostages for too long. Didn’t want the villain looking behind himself too soon.
“.. Right. Right okay I… I’m gonna need a hostage though-!” Mia was expecting this readily enough, and as it became clear he meant the already injured woman who became frantic as she was tugged by the arm, almost as if trying to force her to stand when she had no legs to stand on, Mia raised her voice a little firmly.
“Not her. Come on kid think smart. We can’t let you go running off with a hostage who’s probably not far from a shock induced coma. Lay her down good and gentle… meet us half way and grab someone else.”
The hostages likely squeaked against the skeletal hands but it was all part of the plan, Mia just had to keep playing the role here. Normally a gambit like this might not work but this kid was inexperienced and probably didn’t have his feet set in reality. He nodded slowly after considering his options, laying down the woman he’d been tormenting. He backed up a few feet, and as he turned about-
“NOW!”
Mia didn’t hesitate. Yasashi was ready or he wasn’t and if it was the latter that was all the more reason she couldn’t pause. Just as the criminal spotted the skeletal hands holding his hostages silent Mia kicked hard off the tarmac, right in his face as he turned back about with a fiersome left hook coming in at his side. She had to hold back on regular criminals and crooks so she didn’t kill them but you wouldn’t be able to tell that by the look of fury in her eyes. Even if she had to refrain from a fatal blow, she sure as hell knew how to make it look intimidating regardless. She slammed her fist into the punk’s side, sending him flying through the right side wall of the building with some immense force and crashing into the alleyway beside it. Mia had put some good distance between them and the hostages, and with Yasashi’s help there was probably an extra layer of protection in place… but…
“GAGH! FUCK!”
She couldn’t hold back her typical curse laden language, collapsing to her knees and holding her forearm with grit teeth. The hand she’d used to punch the punk was limp, the bone in her palm seeming to have faded out in an instant, looking like a rubber glove filled with jelly had been stapled to the end of her forearm. She looked to the woman beside her, and forced a smile.
“Damn your missing two legs worth of this…? Good on ya… don’t think I’d be as calm as you…~” There was clear pain but she managed to smile through it, pushing up to her feet with a deep breath, dipping her head to the cops and medics on the scene as a sign for them to rush in and help. “Hey seriously. You did well holdin’ out today. It’s all in good hands now..”
She wasn’t sure how well she did reassuring the woman but… hey, it was part of the job. She’d look back to Yasashi and the other hostages (assuming they could still be seen with the dividing layer of boney protection). “Kid you holdin’ up okay?”
Of course, the fight wasn’t over so easy, the rubble the villain found himself in began to shift and move, but not so obviously that it caught Mia’s attention with all the pain flowing up her forearm.

BA HA HA HA HA HA!
[attr="class","itsover2"]Yasashi watched with held breath, his muscles tensing and untensing as his brain went through the patterns necessary to move his skeletons at will. The bones continued to draw the hostages back toward the rear exit. As the first person moved past him, their quiet terror immediately relaxed when he cast them a thumbs up. He forced himself to look at Red Horn, though, she was asking him to reconsider his hostage choice. He considered and then... to Yasashi's immense relief the guy let the woman down. His preplanned columns of bone metal were ready to go. He backed up. In position. Yasashi drew his breath.
"NOW!"
Yasashi released the walls of bone metal like a spring trap one moment the room was a whole space. The next, Red Horn was kicking off the tarmack and a wall of dark-grey metal rose out of the floor to split the room. Yasashi turned to the hostages and released his hold on them, the bone hands growing little knives that cut their restraints on their legs. All of the arms dissolved after that, as well as all but one of the knives which was left next to one of them. "Cut your hands free and go out the back! Now!" Yasashi called. "I have some skeletons watching the hallway, they will protect you! Run out the back and meet the police out front! Go!" Yasashi called. Fortunately the alley behind the bank wasn't connected evenly to the alley alongside it. He tensed his shoulders when he heard Red Horn curse. He waved his hand and created an opening wide enough for him to enter.
"I'm fine, the hostages are out," He stopped when he looked at Red Horn's arm and the woman legs. He grit his teeth and looked around. "Where..." He exhaled and moved to them, he had to think fast. The villain could be back any second. He focused on the woman first, trusting Red Horn to endure. He'd practiced making thread out of his quirk with Witch Doctor but he was still struggling to make fabric. A thin metal sheet would have to do. He created a long, thin plate with two handles on each side and stretched the woman out on it. He then took a deep breath and threw his mental effort into making two more skeletons to carry her out.
"You're going to be okay. These two handsome devils are going to get you to the ambulance, tell the police to give them verbal commands, they'll listen." Yasashi said, looking to Red Horn.
"Your turn..." He said, reaching for her as sweat began to form on his brow. He was holding too many skeletons together without line of sight. That doubled the strain for each one.

Mia was definitely thankful for the kid’s preparation and quick mind. The hostages were practically already out of harms way by the time Mia made her move but she hadn’t expecting the reaction times on this guys quirk to be so… intense. She could FEEL the absence of something in her hand, her muscles trying to flex, to find some solidity where there was nothing… knowing quirks there was probably someone on the government payroll who could fix her up, or maybe it’d regenerate over time. Some quirks tended to wear off when someone passed out but… hard to tell with damage like this. Yasashi seemed to focus his efforts on the most injured hostage. “Good move kid…” She muttered under her breath, just barely audible enough for him to hear but clearly a genuine bit of praise for his choice.
When his attentions turned to her she simply shook her head, standing up as she grasped her still bone filled wrist. “Don’t worry about me too much I’ve been through worse…” Arguably untrue, she was literally missing the bone in her palm afterall but… ya know, gotta look tough for the kiddies heh? “Here just.. give me something to keep my palm steady or something? Should be fine…”
As Yasashi was likely working his boney magic on Mia’s hand (Kinky) the punk who thought he could rob a bank in broad daylight with a quirk more just equipped for torture groaned, grasping the rubble that had collapsed around him and dragging himself up to his feet. He was a lot more durable than his lanky form seemed to appear, and as he raised his head he glared down the heroes that had interrupted his plans… he glanced about, knowing he was surrounded and cursing hard against his teeth. He wasn’t gonna get out of this without ending up in a cell… MAY AS WELL TAKE THEM OUT WITH HIM!
They were small and light on their feet to the point the only signals Mia and Yasashi might have that he was rushing in again mid-work on Mia’s hand was the sound of some miss-aimed gunshots that rang past him as the cops realized he was still on the move and probably trying to reclaim the hostages. Regardless of the work done on her hand she quickly tried to dart in the way of the hostage’s escape route and the criminal, raising her forearm and taking his grimy touch… and there it went. Her entire other forearm turned limp and the shocking pain was enough to make her knees give and send it back down onto her ass. The hostages were deep enough out the back entrance the police were likely collecting them already which just left the practicaly armless Mia and Yasashi to deal with the criminal, who was standing over the blonde heroine with a glare in his eyes.
“Ya know having a quirk… is meant to make things easier… but ripping the bones out of someone’s body? Who wants a hero like that eh? This… this was supposed to be easy… but-!” He turned to yell partly at Yasashi. “YOU DAMN PRETTY HEROES KEEP FUCKING IT ALL UP!”

[attr="class","itsover2"]Yasashi was so caught up in the moment he barely processed the praise, simply nodding as his beady-blue eyes focused on what he was doing. He looked to her hand and considered her words only long enough to form what amounted to a standard hand brace around it. It would keep her hand rigid in a simple palm open shape; no more than a gauntlet without joints. He shifted backwards glancing over his shoulder before finally grinning at her. "That was one heck of an entrance, Red Horn," He complemented, his eyes sparkling. For all his dislike of violence, there was something about a hammy entrance that entranced him.
He didn't have time to enjoy the moment, though, something in the back of his mind flared; he turned, his eyes glowing, only to see the man rushing through the hole that his body had left behind. The gauntlet around Mia's hand was not fully formed; just enough to keep her fingers still and her palm steady, it wasn't holding shape yet. He concentrated on it while he tried to turn and face the incoming hostile; but frankly that wasn't going to work. He grit his teeth and let the construct solidify, Mia was way ahead of him, moving to intercept while he moved to pursue the hostages.
Then she took a blow, before he even had a moment to process. He'd been to slow. Mia's entire arm went slack in a sickly way. She fell to her knees, the pain must have been so... he gritted his teeth, trying to force back the nausea. The man began to bellow, angrily, about how undesirable his quirk was. Yasashi understood that; he'd grown up a pariah, a monster who played with bones and who had grown freakishly huge. He grit his teeth as the man howled at them, and Yasashi tensed his legs, eyes blazing. His armor grew a tint darker as he urged a surge of skeletal hands to erupt from the ground, trying to clasp around the guy's wrist and body, avoiding his palms.
"Red Horn! MOVE!" Yasashi bellowed, he tensed again, and shoved his fist into the ground, something... large... began to take shape out of the bone metal to his right. It would be a few heartbeats before it was ready and his skeletal hands would have to be enough to distract him. If he didn't pull this off, though, Red Horn was as good as dead.

Mia had fallen back onto her ass with intense red eyes glaring up at this kid who'd practically stolen her arms from her. She didn't dare look at the loose forearm she now possessed, even the limp way it lay, with no structure inside of it... she could tell it was gonna churn her stomache if she took a glance. She kept her glare on the bone thief, a grimace shifting cautiously into a grin as the kid threatened her. "Oh come on kid what ya gonna do? Ya lost your hostages and I think everyone in Japan can tell ya I ain't afraid of dying! So come on! What's the plan!? You're going to jail anyway!!!"
"..." He grit his teeth, grimacing through his own mask as he couldn't put on a show like Redhorn could. His hands tenses at his sides as he looked down over her. "... You're right. I came here for money. An easy life. An easy 'OUT'. But..." He shook his head and chuckled in disbelief. "Ya know, it's all turned to shit... I may as well come out of this with the death of Redhorn under my belt... gonna be an easy time in prison. I bet so many people are gonna wanna thank me-!"
Mia tensed up, watching that open palm rush for her skull. The threat of what that could do was enough to make her lock up a hair of a second too long, Yasashi's words briefly falling on deaf ears... but the hand stopped, shaking infront of her, there was force behind it, trying to reach for her face but it couldn't quite make it and the parts started to click. The words from Yasashi finally registered and with a grunt of pain she rolled over her dead arm and off to the side, smacking against the counter for the bank tellers and watching the fight develop from her side.
"The... FUCK!?" He yelled out in frustration, the skeletal hands dragging him back, making him stand more upright. His eyes remained sharply on Yasashi however, growling behind his teeth as he tried to fight against the hands clasping onto him. "Oh no! I AM NOT BEING THE BONE DESTRUCTION GUY WHO LOST TO A NECROMANCER FREAK! NOT TODAY!" By now his entire brain was clouded in irrational thought, he solely fought with the intent of making something of this day, for better or worse. Dragging at his right arm the skeletal hands clasped around an empty sleeve as he managed to escape their grasp, his power seeming to work through fabric as he turned his palm about and started to disintigrate them, the bones coated in a white light before fading, from the fingertip to the base of the palm the hands dissapeared, and with the hand back he quickly set about freeing himself.
He had no idea what Yasashi was planning, but he quickly rushed for him, closing the distance with a wild expression.
"I AM NOT GOING DOWN TO YOU!"
Before Yashashi could finish whatever he was building... Pap. A slap to the chest. He was weak, you could feel it, he'd have never stood a chance against Yasashi if the two of them had quirks... but an intense pain ravaged through his chest all the same. He could feel his ribs burning and... and...!
Nothing.
The pain was intense sure but nothing a hero in training had never experienced before. There was an intent behind it, an intent to kill that was new but... feeling that tight chest, even through the armor, feeling it refuse to cave, the wild look in the criminals eyes faded into panic and disbelief as he looked up to Yasashi's eyes through the helmet. His quirk hadn't worked. Not truly...
"W-what... are you...!?"
Guess dense bones are good for something...
